Side-Quests and Rewards

After much discussion and thought over the feedback about quests, the staff has concluded on how canons and original characters can receive rewards. There are two ways that you can get rewards for your character: Either through Plot Rewards or Side-Quest Rewards.

How did Sora get rewards in KH? He had two choices: to go to different places that were not part of the storyline and do side-quests (best example, fighting Sephiroth in the Dark Depths), or he followed the storyline when a new world opened up and he defeated the boss there to gain these powers.

Plot Rewards and Side-quest rewards will be the same in order to follow this Kingdom Hearts theme.

Plot Rewards

These will be awarded to the character that enter and participate in Plots. In order to receive a reward, the following conditions must be met:

1. The characters must win in the plot thread. It they do not win, they will not be rewarded.

2. The characters must stay active up until the point the plot ends for them to receive their rewards. If they drop out of the thread due to inactivity, they will not receive an award at the end.

At the end of the thread, the staff will announce who won and what rewards the characters shall receive. They are then to PM Vincent with their edit of their power (depending on what the reward is), so Vincent can add it to their profile. This is the same way you might normally update a character's profile with new information.

Sidequests Rewards

What if the plots don't have the stories or idea you want your character to be rewarded with? What if you want to reward your character with something different, like a new weapon for your Original Character? What if Seifer gets tired of his Struggle Bat and wants his Hyperion Gunblade back, or what if Namine gets tired of others defending her and goes back to Castle Oblivion to find a keyblade? That's where side-quests come in.

If you want to start an original thread, where your character is officially rewarded with something new added to the weapons/powers section of their application, all you have to do is fill out the application below and send it to Vincent. He will then review your application. If it is accepted, he will PM you back with the link to the thread. If not, he will PM you back discussing any problems he may find with it.

If it is successful, he will set up the thread for you, and once completed, he will announce at the end of the thread what kind of reward the participants will receive.

Canon Characters - Please Note:

For any upgrades to your character, please keep it in theme for the style of fighting your character does. Like Sora would never have Ultima or Meteor, but he could be upgraded to have a new keychain. Pence would not be powerful enough to wield spells like Holy or Flare, but he could get away with learning -ra or even -ga level spells if he worked on it long enough, since those spells are universal in the KH universe. Just keep it reasonable and within your character's theme.
