The weather had grown unpredictable in the last hour, and had become pure hell outdoors. Blue skies were changed to a pale, ugly green as the clouds high above the town of Agrabah began to twirl very slowly in the form of an eye. The center of this great storm was positioned just over the palace, giving off a deep and intense howling from the gaping black vortex that inhaled from beyond the massive cloud movement. Lightning collided with structures all over the city, occasionally bursting forth in groups of three and four. The hues of the lightning were inverted to that of a black and sky blue, which gave the bolts all a more menacing look about them as they extended their wrath down upon the desert city.
Within the throne room of the palace stood a tall armored figure, adorned with various beads and brightly colored trimmings on his plates. The spikes on his shoulders and the two-ended plume that topped his helm stood high, like peaks upon that of a great range of mountains. From the portruding slit in his helm, Exdeath looked down upon various servants of the castle as they looked up fearfully at him. He merely stood there with a single hand placed upon the end of his sword, and the other hand upon the back of the first. They cowered before him, as though the very sign of movement would strike death upon their poor unfortunate souls. The marble floors upon which he stood gleamed brightly from the light created from the storm, giving off near perfect reflections of everyone in the hall for all to see.
"Fear not, worthless mortals." he began, as his voice boomed into the hall; his tone rank with evil intention. He looked down upon them as the worthless pawns that they were, and expected no valor shown among the lot of them. There was no one present to save this city, which had the great misfortune of being the first place Exdeath had wound up after his newest revival. "You have enough time to relish in the last free moments of your lives. Soon your wills shall bend to my own, and serve your new lord." It had been time to seek out a matter of resources to work with, as well as a new location from which to extend forth his plans. Castle Exdeath would be reclaimed soon, but first he needed to make an extension of his empire.
Already he was choosing on how best to twist this castle into his own liking, and change the architecture of everything. The city would die from the storm, however the castle would remain standing tall in it's soon-to-be twisted new form. A permanent outpost of the dark lord, and a fitting one it would be. To serve him until he reclaimed the Void, then to be decimated like all other things he would be rid of. He looked out upon the city as stone was cracked and fired off of a taller building from the bolt of inverted lightning that had just struck it. His storm would prevent anyone from teleporting directly into the palace, and so would place them somewhere in town or on it's outskirts. So it would be a labyrinth of stone and hot electric death, with Exdeath waiting to smite anyone who would dare make it to his new outpost. For This ThreadField Theme: Here Battle Theme: Here

Pyreflies had surrounded one area in the outskirts of the town. They formed a shining light that opened up a doorway from the farplane. A man stepped out of the doorway with a rather large sword on his back and a smirk on his face. The Pyreflies started to disappear and the man saluted them off with two fingers. "Thanks little guys." He said in a gruff tone of voice. The man was Jecht of Zanarkand and liked what he saw, liked being very loosely that is. He decided to give the darkness a break and started to travel places via the farplane, although wherever he would go the Pyreflies would follow.
To him it almost seemed like every time he would enter, it was like a grand opening! Although everything really felt like a grand opening to Jecht seeing how he was a star and all. "Well what do we have here? It looks like a hurricane in the middle of the desert! Well that doesn't seem right." Jecht walked forward towards the city gates. The screams of terror could be heard from behind the gates and Jecht really wasn't fond of innocents being hurt. During his time as Sin he knew what exactly was going on and it made him sick to his stomach, after all he was the one who wanted to help people along the way of Braska's pilgrimage.
A few black lightning bolts struck the stone near the gate, but they didn't startle Jecht. "Hey that was pretty cool. ...Just as long as that thing doesn't hit me." Jecht rotated his free arm around as he stretched out his neck. "Welp, it's time to get this over with and it will be done in style!" With that said Jecht kicked down the main gates and ran into the town. "What a mess." The Brutal Blitzer said as he held onto his bandanna. All of the stands were in ruins and the merchandise was everywhere! "I better not be the only one who cleans this up." He muttered to himself as he made his way through the town.
"Hey! You!" Jecht called out to a pedestrian cowering in a corner. "W-w-w-what?" The pedestrian shouted back, trying not to loose his grip. "What's going on here?" He saw the pedestrian shake his head, or what looked like it anyway. "I don't know! This storm came out of no where!" Jecht sighed and continued moving through the debris, "Well that was a waste of my time." In the situation that he was in it felt like if he was a rat inside of some life or death lab maze. The storm seemed like it was targeting something or someone, Jecht really didn't know. From his point of view it looked like the eye was centered directly above the castle. "This cloud of darkness looks like it wants something to do with that palace." He stopped for a minute and chuckled to himself. "Heh, Cloud of Darkness. I wouldn't be surprised if she was behind all of this."
Jecht really hadn't interacted much with the Cloud of Darkness when he was on Chaos' side, but he couldn't help to notice her. North, West, South, West, he couldn't help but to get annoyed at the town maze. "It felt like someone deliberately made it like this! But I'm not complaining, the great Jecht can handle it!" He didn't know how much longer it was to get to the palace, but he hoped whoever was there had good protection!

Suddenly above the burly, hairy man came a loud crack as a bolt of lightning erupted into a bungalow just above him. The area was lit with a temporary light, as the sound of exploding rock filled the air, then it quickly returned to the twisted color it had been moments before. Dust was sent hurling into the air as stone and clay alike flew high, only to come down to where the man with the large sword would be standing. He would most likely be crushed by this amount of weight. Left in the wake of the bolt was a vicious scar, carved into the side of the building that ran down in a jagged fashion to the sand on which the building stood. The scar hissed angrily as smoke began to seethe out of it's deep crevice in the side of the wall.
Suddenly behind Jecht, cam a violent crash through the stone wall halfway down the street. More sand and debris were kicked up in the sudden collapse of stone out into the street. The sand which held the man's footprints became distressed and covered, and were soon imprinted with new tracks of the beast that emerged from the hole in the wall. A vicious roar erupted from behind the sand cloud that took it's time to settle behind the former Guardian of Braska, and from it stepped a Minotaur wielding a giant morning star. At first it stood there watching Jecht: with snot dripping out of a nostril like a green shoe string, light dancing faintly on the shiny spikes that adorned the weapon it carried, and the hair that lined it's back gave way to the violent winds that were sweeping through the many blood filled streets in the city.
It let out a vicious, blood thirsty scream as it charged forward baring it's long fangs in it's wet, drooling mouth. From it's left it swung, to it's right in an attempt to crush Jecht's much smaller body into the hard walls next to him. Sand was thrown backwards at the Minotaur's charge with each step, so that hoof prints were clearly witness-able within the faded gold of the street. High above within the clouds that circled over the city, came rain that fell with a great haste. The moisture filled the air, and now would make the lightning frays so much more dangerous.
Exdeath watched as the storm progressed from the dry comforts of the throne room. The city became eclipsed in the rain in what appeared as a dark curtain had suddenly been pulled over the entire city. Things were going to his will, and were indeed running smoothly. Soon the sand would turn into a filthy, grainy mud for everyone outside to fight in. Traction would greatly diminish, and soon anyone would be able to easily slip from their steps into the clutches of the ever waiting reaper. He was in control here, and would remain within that cusp of power until someone strong enough could take him from it. The list of those whom could do such a thing was thin, and he could not sense the presence of any who were on it within the area.
"The tides of this storm, shall wash in a new era of this world." he spoke to the cowering mortals before him. They screamed in fright as several winged Heartless brandishing swords appeared out of seemingly nowhere around the warlock. They soon cut down the innocents, and began to take their hearts as Exdeath merely ignored the frenzy that occurred behind him. Who was he to care for the lives of these men and women? They were nothing more than a wretched annoyance, and could do nothing to stop him. It was apparent at the moment, that no one could.

As the storm progressed Jecht could start to barely recognize the area. The rain was hitting him hard and the winds were pretty harsh. He was in the city with no idea how to get to the palace, or at least out of the labyrinth of debris! Jecht had a hunch that he was getting closer to the palace, but he still had no way to tell. The debris started to shift around as he moved through the maze, it was almost like the storm didn't want him to enter the palace at all. "I can't even tell if I'm going in circles or not. I could really use a drink right about now."
A loud crack was heard as he looked up. A bolt of lightning had hit one of the structures above him. Quickly he outran the falling structure and it just barely missed him. "That thing could of scarred me up more. Although it would just improve my image rather than mess it up." He talked to himself some more, wondering what his fans would think of him if they saw him even more battle damaged. It was a cool thought for the moment, it took his mind off the storm at least.
Jecht's eyes squinted as he tried to see what was going on in front of him. As the storm picked up he heard another crack in the area and he immediately looked up to see if there were any hazards. There was nothing that he could see, but some loud roar rang through one ear and out the other. He immediately grabbed his sword and turned around to find out what the roar had came from. "Well that's no Shoopuf!" He exclaimed as he put a cocky smile on his face.
It looked ugly, very ugly, and was much bigger than he was. It's muscles were huge and it just screamed that it had physical prowess. "You don't look so tough." From what he could see the Minotaur was charging straight at him and was readying an attack. Jecht quickly jumped backwards as much as he could and used the wall to jump over the rather tall creature. "You call that an attack? You make my sissy son look stronger than you!" A red glow started to form around Jecht as he held his fist back.
"Over here! Bet you can't hit me this time!" Jecht was using what time he had to charge an attack. This time if the Minotaur charged at him he would be ready to unleash a nasty surprise, one of his signature Jecht combos! He dealt with fiends before, bigger and smaller than the Minotaur. Hell he even was bigger than it once before! In Jecht's philosophy there were many principals and one of them was the bigger they are, the harder they fall!

With blood red eyes glaring down upon Jecht, the Minotaur cried out once more as it greatly heaved its chest in the process. The great muscles flexed as the mythic beast brought the weapon up high into the rain, and then slammed the spiked ball of the weapon to the ground. The impact created an instant hole in the sand, and as the earth compressed beneath the morning star's weight, a fissure erupted forward, splitting the earth. It moved quickly towards Jecht's feet like a snake, pushing rain with the force applied by the beast so that it became a man sized crescent arc.
The Minotaur, with rain splashing off its colossal form, charged forward after this splitting of earth to catch the man off guard. The left arm dragged the huge weapon behind the beast in the sand as it ran. As it brought over the right, a firm grip was place next to the other hand and with a very violent display of power, the Minotaur swiped the giant weapon out and to its right. Whether Jecht was hit by either attacks remained to be seen, but the two were then joined by several of the Invisible Heartless that had left the warlock in the throne room. They appeared suddenly as they faded into view with their swords. As they floated there momentarily, with the rain eerily evaporating before it even touched them, the Heartless gazed upon their prey with those lifeless golden eyes.
The Minotaur had been caught entirely off guard, as its swing had greatly opened it up for counter attack. The Heartless threw their swords at the beast, which was soon followed by the faint sound of something being stuck within the rain. It was a blunt and barely audible sound, but it was soon drowned out by that same hostile scream from the Minotaur. Dust began to fly and mix with the rain as the Heartless charged in to scuffle and take down the larger, more desired heart. An opening had been coincidentally provided, and as a bolt of lightning flared out into the sky above, the storm began to intensify as the wind's speed increased.
Meanwhile, Exdeath now sat upon the throne of Agrabah and slowly his aura was beginning to alter and twist the room around him. Like a slowly progressing plague, it spread from where he sat, turning the elegant ivory marble into a solid ebony and the tasteful gold into a deep metallic orange. The change could be seen as it began to move down the steps, like a tortoise racing a hare. There was no need to rush, after all Exdeath too had sensed the more sentient consciousness within the city. As much as it annoyed him, he expected it to be rather typical that someone had come to put a stop to this endeavor. So, who then, was foolish enough to think that they could stand against the evil lord Exdeath?

Jecht's aura had grown larger and started to glow more darker. It was almost like flames were coming off of Jecht himself. The beast looked like it was about to attack again and he smirked. Come on, just a few more steps forward and your gone! Although what came next was unexpected. Should've known... The quake was coming right for him and all he could do was stand there. Even if he were to attack he wouldn't be able to push back the inevitable. With a massive force Jecht was hit and slammed into the wall of debris, luckily for him there were no sharp objects.
He sat on the ground for a few moments before he stood up. He grabbed his head for a second with one hand and laughed. "Man I haven't been hit like that in years. You got quite an arm." Although it wasn't the place for Jecht to be talking because it was coming right back for him. "Not this time beast!" Right before the attack landed he threw up his arm and a small barrier was thrown up in front of him. This was his Jecht Block technique and it proved effective.
When Jecht was ready for the next strike he saw that two black floating fiends were attacking the larger fiends. "Hey look the fiends are fighting to see who gets to fight me!" Jecht tipped them off and laughed. "Gotta jet fiends, don't worry because I'll be kicking your masters butt twice as hard!" While the beast may have been distracted it didn't mean that the storm had let up though. The winds had become more harsh and the sand started to pick up more. "Definitely going to have fun beating this guy down!" Jecht yelled to himself over the powerful winds.
Jecht was finally able to make it to the doors leading into the palace courtyard. "This should be the right way." He had trouble pushing the rather large doors because the wind was working against him. "Nothing a little Jecht strength can't handle!" His feet tried to grip the ground but it was too wet and almost turning into quicksand. After a failed attempt Jecht decided to take an easier route. "Only one last thing to do." He used his sword to break down the rather large door and he proceeded to the courtyard. He was almost at the castle and nothing but the storm in his way!

Across the courtyard a ring of energy appeared upon the grainy surface of the sand, and within its limits was a bright flash. There stood Exdeath as faint shimmers of light played off his armor, and his cape billowed in the fierce wind that the storm continued to throw upon the combatants. The rain had not bothered to let up either, and had begun to pelt the warlock's armor. The sound that rang out was hollow, yet had the rapid repetitiveness of machine gun fire. There beneath what could easily be described metaphorically as the Mouth to Hell above the Palace, Exdeath looked on into the rain upon a somewhat familiar face. It was the traitorous filth of a swordsman, named Jecht who was once a supposed ally of himself under Chaos's command. In truth, he was a warrior of Cosmos, and nothing more than a narcissistic bag of hot air. "Still bound to the Light as before I see." spoked Exdeath through the rain, as the howling from the storm seemed to grow more quiet.
"Yet too ignorant to give into the Darkness within your heart." continued Exdeath as he let out a slight, hollowed chuckle. This human was brave indeed, but coming here to test his power was nothing but a fool's errand. "Pitiful human, what do you hope to achieve here? To fight for a Light in which you cannot peacefully exist, while your very soul is tainted by the Dark." This 'star' player was in need of a beating, merely for the sole sake of attempting to disrupt Exdeath's plans. The rain continued to pour, though as heavy as it was, the water fell with an unusual softness. Droplets streaked down and off Exdeath's bright and colorful armor as he stood there staring down Jecht, who was no doubt getting soaked as well.
Too much time in this rain would undoubtedly lead to sickness for the human, however the warlock was unmatched in both stamina and power. He would be able to keep going where others would fall, and that is what separated the weak from the powerful. His white claws remained firmly still on the butt of his weapon, as it stood there point down being used like a cane. High above the warlock, a bolt of lightning struck the top of the palace's largest dome, which then frayed into several smaller jets that fired upwards. It appeared like a glowing tree before it faded into the darkness of the storm. The city was literally being torn apart by bolts as they had not ceased to stop once since the first one occurred. Things were still looking grim for the Light's only fighter.

(Sorry for the shorter then usual post, I haven't really been able to post this week).
Jecht proceeded forward through the courtyard until he saw a shining bright light that made him stop dead in his tracks. He wasn't frightened by this light nor was he caught off guard, it just caught his eye and interested him. Out of the white flash came the entity known as Exdeath, and when he saw him Jecht shook his head. During the war of the gods he was on Chaos' side and Exdeath was on his team. Although later on he did find out that he was on the wrong team the whole time, but that really didn't bother him much.
"Oh hey look, it's the tin man!" Jecht shouted tauntingly. To him Exdeath was shrouded with mystery and he never saw what Exdeath really looks like, so he just calls him whatever he feels like. From what it seemed Exdeath was behind all this and was taunting Jecht in a way. Aw man I really hoped it was going to be the Cloud of Darkness, oh well. I can deal with Exdeath too. "What do I hope to achieve? Well since you must be causing all this mess, I'm here to beat you down! And oh yeah I have to thank you for this storm, I haven't showered in ages!"[/color]
The Blitzball star never really saw Exdeath in battle so he doesn't really know what to expect from the armored man. Jecht held his sword in his right hand and hovered it right over his back. Quickly he dashed forward and stopped a few inches away from Exdeath. A small red fiery aura surrounded him and Jecht started to unleash one of his Jecht combos. He first went for a punch to the gut and if that connected he would then trap Exdeath in his combo.

Exdeath watched as the events unfolded before him. As Jecht let out a very childish insult of such elementary level intelligence, Exdeath merely let out a barely audible "Hmph" before more came from the excessively hairy mammal. The horrendous dab of humor added after threats so empty that they could rival Nobodies, only thoroughly convinced Exdeath how truly ignorant and blindly egotistical this particular man was. So Jecht cared not to know why he was here or why he was reconstructing the world more to his liking, for at that moment he charged in to strike at his mid section. What a foolish pawn of the Light, to blindly fight for a cause with no questions asked about the true matter of things.
Such was the typical obedience Exdeath expected to see in every human and creature beneath him, and Jecht was no exception. Exdeath's arms extended out to each of his sides, his sword remained standing vertically without support as he held it with his mind, and at that very second a large golden sphere erupted around the armored warlock. Omni Block prevented Jecht's strike from touching him, and would no doubt give off recoil from the fierceness in which he threw that punch. Exdeath then brought down his arms so it appeared as though he were flexing, his claws curled intensely as he held his palms upward. "Forward into the abyss." he spoke as his white claws were suddenly flicked outward into a stretched position; a fierce whirlwind of razor ice erupted to life around him in the form of his Blizzaga spell, accelerating to a very high speed.
As the spell began to slow and subside, Exdeath formed another ring beneath his feet and teleported to from where Jecht had charged with Reverse Polarity, leaving his sword behind as it floated in mid air. As he reappeared, he strechted out his great armored arm and began to wave his hand about. As the ice spell ceased Exdeath's sword began to hurl and slash through the air at Jecht in several sweeps to firstly his legs, then to his upper mid section as it weaved around him. "Contending the truth is futile pitiful worm, you cannot defeat me!" he boomed, before pulling his hand up into a clenched fist, which brought the sword zooming back to his firm grasp.
As his sharp white claws closed around the hilt, Exdeath began to chuckle. The sound of him doing this gave off a deep echo within the walls of the Courtyard. As he looked above Jecht where the Blizzaga spell had once been, lightning struck a side of the palace beyond the walls in which they now fought. Once more fire erupted within stone as great chunks were sent flying off into parts of the city, leaving a burning testament in it's wake upon the palace. He looked back then to Jecht and raised his sword to deflect what opportunity he might have taken from the sudden distraction.

Jecht thought his attack would of worked, but to his dismay he had been blocked by Exdeaths own barrier. When he struck the barrier it made him flinch a little as he felt the recoil surge throughout his whole body. Now temporally defenseless Jecht couldn't do anything and got hit by Exdeath's Blizzaga attack followed by his Reverse Polarity. He was able to regain his stability and blocked the oncoming onslaught of attacks coming from Exdeath. The great blitzball player looked at Exdeath through the rain with a smirk on his face.
He did some backflips and landed a few feet away from Exdeath. Quickly he slammed his sword into the ground to cause a slight fissure. His foot then stomped the muddy ground which caused it to ripple slightly as he summoned a large boulder above him. From there he quickly spun around in the air and tossed it at the armored foe. "I have to admit you hit hard Exdeath, and that's what's going to make this more fun!" After he had tossed the rock at Exdeath he quickly grabbed his sword and was ready for action again. Jecht swiftly dashed at Exdeath and stopped right before he got to him. From there he slightly glew red as his sword attempted to strike him, and if Exdeath was hit he would be comboed into a flurry of slashes from Jecht. This was his Jecht Blade technique.

Was it common to compliment and thank one's opponent? Not when it came to Exdeath but it seemed so far Jecht only had mocking praise for his opponent. To the blasphemous evil entity, the former Guardian was not but a nuisance thrown into his path by Harmony's meddling. His plans would not be stopped here and now. No, there was still much to do and dozens upon dozens of other worlds that had yet to experience the terror of his power. With a sharp reaction Exdeath jumped back to avoid the combo initiating strike while levitating his sword to come up into a guard to keep the human's blade from touching him. He let out a merciless laugh in triumph, "Mwa-hahahaha!"
However the warlock had overlooked the large rock that had been thrown in his direction. He attempted to step out of the way but was caught violently in his left shoulder, his armor letting out a hollow, metallic clank in the impact. He yelled a bit in fury as he brought up his hands towards Jecht in the flying rubble of the rock, and fired out a Vacuum Wave at his face. While the ball of light flew for the opposition and the sword attempted to slash, the atmosphere began to suddenly change near Jecht's feet. A slight hum could be heard before a violent eruption of power came from the ground in the form of Level 3 Flare, and sand within the radius became glass within seconds.
Exdeath then rushed forward through the clearing smoke of the spell and firmly grasped his sword to make cuts at the human before him. "Your dream will end here" he spoke before jumping up into the air and rose with haste above the man. He would be hard to see with all of the rain and wind sweeping around the two, and Exdeath looked down upon the mortal as his cape billowed fiercely in the chaotic torrent. With his right hand he gripped the hilt of his sword tightly, and with his left he extended to reveal his palm to Jecht's location. Six black orbs erupted from his hand and sped through the rain to where the opponent was, and quickly circled about over him. As Exdeath closed his hand tightly, the Grand Cross technique moved in to converge on the man in black and orange.
