THUMP.
It had been a peaceful, yet unsettling night in the town of Dollet, the capital of Galbadia, the small city lit up only by broken lights of yellow-tinted tavern lights and white-flooding street lights. Cars that once traveled in the small clustered streets of shops and strip malls, but at a slow enough speed to allow for pedestrians to safely cross without fear, were all now replaced by fiends that had overrun the town. The shrieks and cries from the humans that inhabited the town in response to the invasion were all but intensified as the sound of another giant footstep came closer.
THUMP.
And when it was all silent but for the sounds of terrified men yelling for help, for mothers screaming for their children, a piercing roar rose above them all that tore through the darkness of the night that had fallen on this world. Pure chaos of people running in terror through the streets all but came to a stop, as a monstrous fiend appeared in the shopping district, having emerged from it's rampage from the opening of the portal from Ultimecia's Castle from the west.
THUMP.
The creature's footsteps came to a stop as both of it's heads, one on it's humanoid body and the other on the chest of the centaur-like abomination, looked out at both human being and fiend alike.
Then without warning, came the reaper.
It launched out of the ground, giving neither living creature more than a second's notice before the ghoulish necromancer rose out of the ground and raised it's scythe to instantly strike down the individual before it, as the hellish creature cast Level Five Death. Nobody knew when Death itself would strike next, as it struck down it's targets one by one random, until all life had been extinguished. And not only were the fiends not spared.
Men. Women. Children.
One by one, hearts rose from both the guilty and the innocent into the air, the darkness of the world transforming them into the creatures of darkness made into a physical reality, known as the Heartless. But even they, too, were not spared. As soon as they came into being, the Grim Reaper of the spell struck them down in instant death as well, until there were nothing left in the town.
It might as well have been a ghost town.
Roaring once again in complete domination of the town, the most powerful fiend in the Archipelago known as Omega Weapon continued it's path of absolute destruction as it smashed through buildings and flipped over cars as if they weren't even there, heading down the road east through the city towards the clusters of life it could sense in the nearby towns of Timber and Dollet. Light or darkness, it did not matter to the creature, all would soon be decimated.
It was not a battle at all. It was a slaughter.
And soon, it would turn this world into just a lifeless husk, naught of nothing but deafening silence. It did not have a goal, or a destination, only the will to destroy all life as it saw fit.
And even then... it would not stop. It's only reason to exist... was to annihilate everything in it's path.
THUMP.
(OOC: Just a post to 'advertise' I'm still here. Doesn't any villains not in a raid have the guts to come counter me!? You've only got a few days left, then I'm gone, and darkness over this world goes with me!)

Seifer quickly jumped into a small alley, pressing his body against the sides of the buildings and willing his form to disappear into the shadows as he felt the very earth beneath his feet seem to quake under the movements of a creature he would have preferred to have never set eyes upon - but it was here, In his home world, his Archipelago, the world that he had quite literally spilt a lot of blood to bring the darkness dominion over not very long ago. And now, something was threatening to take control away from him, away from everything whether it was darkness or light, and just turn the world into oblivion. It seemed odd that a creature that existed merely to bring about destruction was attacking a world of darkness, but then, perhaps that was what had brought it about in the first place. The darkness had enveloped the world, and maybe that had given it the chance to unleash itself.
Well, just because the world was a dark one did not mean that Seifer was going to let it get destroyed - that was not even HIS intention. He had only wanted power, and his own side victorious....but if there was nothing there to show for your victory, what was the point? And thus, he found himself a bit villain-turned-hero. He had to stop this creature....to save Archipelago. And by doing so, to keep the darkness in control there while the world still existed.
How....ironic that he was in such a situation - and what a strange situation it was.
As the creature bounded past, Seifer's cyan eyes snapped shut as if on a will of their own - he never wanted to admit to feeling any sense of fear, and it was not in his character to fear anything and yet...this creature left a cold feeling in his body that couldn't be ignored. He had known about its existence deep within Ultimecia's Castle in his past, but had assumed it would always remain trapped in the vortex there, no fool brave enough to ring the summoning bell to fight it - or at least, no one survived if they did try. He had never actually seen the creature himself, and never had any desire to. And now he could see that he had been exactly right....this was bad.
And as much as his pride did not want to admit it, Seifer knew he could not do this alone. Not this time. Not this enemy. He could only hope that other denizens of the darkness - or even 'heroes' at this point, he could hardly care and could deal with them later - would show up as well.
But for now, it was him, and the blonde knew that he could not let the creature travel much further unchallenged...it was already destroying his world, and he could not let that happen to the rest of it....it was pointless to hold dominion over non-existence after all. And even if it was not human, this creature was challenging his leadership. These were the thoughts that the gunblader kept repeating and repeating to himself as he willed himself to step out of the shadows and back into its sight...which he finally did.
"Hey you!" Seifer then called out as he stepped back out into the street, twirling Hyperion before him and putting on a display of confidence that he really did not have, but managed to look pretty convincing all the same though he knew not where it came from, "Looks like you missed one! Why don't you come fight someone that'll actually be a challenge?" He didn't know if it could even comprehend speech, but what he said did not matter - all he really needed was to refocus its attention away from the world....to him.
What a predicament.

There was no disturbance within the balance. No extraterrestrial force that was trying to consume the sinister shadows of the world, nor the warm sheets of the Light. There was, however, a beast threatening to weaken the walls of the war. The siege still meant nothing to the apprentice and his master. It was a minor detail in the universe lit by misconception and prolonged by battle in combat. Everything was apparent to him, but there was something within the mask of The Dark Entity that led him to drift apart from the status quo and make his own refuge upon the worlds. One step at a time, or maybe numerous if the advantage was revealed.
Thus, the desolate being arrived with the streets of the Archipelago world. His walk bore a sign of melancholy but there was nothing sad going through his mind. It was simply a stride. Each person had their own unique way of it, right? His helmet drooped to the ground, watching each crack and swerve upon the walkway. However, his stride seized as he felt the world shake. With another 'THUMP' his helmet lifted up quickly to find the sign of this weight. Was something truly happening upon this world? All he could see was the strokes of darkness and overpowering signs of shadows upon the world. Nothing stood out upon him, until the screams of the innocent came through.
He turned around quickly to see what was the cause of this attack, as only these screams could explain. What he looked out was instantly non-human, but it wasn't an Unversed either. It was probably one of the Heartless, of which there was really nothing to fear, for him at least. Keeping his stance he waited to see what was unfolding. Quickly the screams died through the city. Something was moving quickly through the town and it was swift in it's motion. The beast had seized moving yet it was obvious apparent that the evil prolonging through the streets was in action.
A loud yelp instantly came to Vanitas' ear. Undisturbed he turned to the scene to see a woman holding a bundle of something running towards him. Fear was through his face and eyes. A cunning grin came across his face as he saw her. Turning back to look she tripped and fell. The bundle flew ahead. Cries came from it, but Vanitas only watched. Not frozen within the moment, but anxious to see how things would unfold. Instantly, from around the corner a figure appeared and slashed the woman. The cries became louder but as the figure crossed upon it the sound died eerily. Vanitas looked upon this threat strongly. His keyblade appeared in his hand instantly. Without though the figure blitzed him, but would only have to fail as Vanitas reduced his body to hide within the shadows of the street.
Traveling closer to the beast, Vanitas arose with the corner of a street where a boy was. Vanitas remained quiet and still, to not give way to his position, but it was no use as the boy's focus was on the beast. He was obviously not pleased with this massive beast. Without a second to delay the boy jumped out to address the beast appearing very confident. Vanitas' recurring grin came on his face again. Keyblade still in hand he awaited to see the beast response and aid if necessary. It was a battle that didn't appear to harm him yet. Maybe the shadows would be his domain during this battle. It was after all his birth and existence. Within this domain, he was the master. He pitied to enemy that would bare through his power.

At another place, G Slayer was moving through the Darkness. He didn't knew where he was or where he went. He neither cared as long as he got further. Too long had he been stuck at one spot and finally he was able to perhaps find his way to finally complete his mission. All he needed was to find Shin-Ra. Instead he seemed to wound up at places that were not familiar. Fighting through fights that weren't exactly 'his', he kept going without a word. It wasn't like he hated it, or liked it, no feelings were involved as he continued to step forward.
Now... now he found himself at another strange place. A loud thumping sound he could hear. Deaths he could see. This place had just been drained of life. Darkness was reigning. Perhaps it was here that one Darkness fought another Darkness. It held no meaning. Perhaps a clash to see what Darkness was greater. Destruction, annihilation, or conquer, rule the world. Life was full of greed and hate. None of it mattered to the copy. He'd continue towards his goal even if he alone would be left in this world. Whether the world ended or was overthrown, he'd find his way.
Slowly the white-haired man stepped forward on top of a roof and looked out, not too far off down he saw a guy shouting at the creature. A fiend, perhaps like any other. It seemed the two weren't exactly 'allies'. A third seemed to be there, but the G Slayer couldn't see him. It was his experiences in so many battles, as former SOLDIER and as a clone of the 1st Class SOLDIER that might've allowed him to sense the man.
His gunblade slowly scraped over the ground from behind him with one hand. The gunblade came to a stop on the ground when it stood right in front of him and then he slowly lifted it up. He aimed it at the creature. Loaded was a shot to silence the fiend. To see to it that the fiend would not cast any immense spells. Then he pulled the trigger and the shot was released as the gunblade pushed back with the drawback of the shot.

(Crap, forgot I was in this thread! Sorry about the wait guys.)
A portal ripped open in the town... Or more specifically, in an alley way. From it, a manner garbed in black stepped out. His eyes examined the area for a bit, until they came across the enormous monstrous beast wrecking the city he just happened to appear in.
"Well... Aren't I the lucky one," Yukimura muttered to himself, while drawing sword off his back. He walked out of the alley, ducking underneath some flying debris heading his way. The pieces missed him and crashed into the alley way, some pieces bouncing like ping-pong balls, while others crashed into the buildings like they were catapulted off.
Yukimura made it out to the street, as the creature walked by, causing the ground to tremor heavily. He took note of the bodies strewn about, seeming lifeless and... devoid of emotion. One person tried to move, but almost immediately lost his life doing so. Yukimura would've laughed at his attempt to live, until he noticed the shining, crystal-like heart flying out. The heart became surrounded by darkness quickly, losing all traces of light as the darkness gathered together.
Yukimura sighed with annoyance. The Heartless existed on this world as well, from what he could tell. A soldier heartless fell down and began to run off somewhere, in search of hearts to consume. Yukimura charged at it and slashed his sword horizontally, cutting the thing in half. The heart flew out of the heartless, the darkness fading like gases into nothing, while the heart vanished in a small array of light.
"As much as I would like to see people suffer, I can not have them all be eliminated yet. I need to find the path to true power and this beast... No, this weapon, is not helping my search," Yukimura muttered to himself, as he placed his sword on his shoulder. He brought his gaze back to the monstrosity that was slowly walking away from where he was, with earth-shaking steps.
He began to quickly walk towards the beast, while bringing his sword to his right side, with the tip pointing towards the ground. A shout came from some person not far ahead of him, but that didn't stop him from moving. Almost several seconds after the shout, a loud gun shot came from a roof near the beast. Yukimura looked to the side, still walking, to see a man with snow white hair with an enormous sword or gun of some kind.
He brought his attention forward once more, focusing it on the beast. Yukimura kept his confidence, even though the beast was so much larger than him. The Weapon would fall hard on to the concrete streets which itself and Yukimura were upon. He stopped, still keeping his sword the way it was. He would not bring attention to himself yet. In battle, one must take chances, but one must also contemplate those methods.
"This beast is large, so it should have restricted movements, especially in an area such as this. Unless this beast has some powerful spells and can cast them around itself, this fight should be very easy to win," Yukimura told himself, while taking in the surroundings and the size of the beast and movement beast had. He could not see the one who was shouting earlier, so he assumed that the person was in front of this Weapon.
Yukimura shouted, while charging at the beast, "Come on, big guy! Show me what you've got!"
He lunged at one of the legs and slashed at it, to weaken its footing.

The assumption that the hulking fiend before the assembled warriors of darkness was not extraterrestrial was incorrect. The fiends of this world originated from the moon itself, and every time when the moon reached a point of overpopulation of fiends that it became literally saturated with them, the Lunar Cry would be performed, and event which the moon would literally pour the billions of fiends down onto the world itself like scolding hot wax, but in a much more devastating and cataclysmic effect. This fiend was the descendant of these monsters, and having survived far into the future only to return to this more peaceful time through the rift of the world's Time Compression portals, meant it was one of the world's most powerful abominations indeed. The tides of light and darkness that washed through the world meant nothing in the wake of the creature but mere tools for annihilation; all concepts of good and evil did not register in the creature's mind, for being bad luck incarnate meant this creature's reputation in power had become legendary in status for anyone who chanced to survive and breathe it's name had transcended it the cursed whisper of it onto the realms of disbelief and superstition. But perhaps there was an underlying truth beyond the creature; that if the moon had been created when the planet itself had from the debris that had become caught within it's orbit and thus originated from the planet itself, could only mean that the Weapon was the evolution and thus the true nature of mankind in itself.
The young gunblader himself should know all of this too well from having performed the Lunar Cry with Lunatic Pandora, as well as all the warriors of darkness that had gathered like shadows to this darkened world, how it did not take physical transformation for one to be classified as a monster.
The centaurian harvester of souls did not even come to a stop as the young man called out to register his own thread of life; only once before in it's existence had Omega Weapon come across powerful individuals that had acted as a barrier from it's non-stop progress, for otherwise all else it knew was it's own twisted path of unbridled power and how all of existence bent to it's will before his very presence. As would this individual who like the rest would be brushed aside and trampled into oblivion by stepping into his path, and the pure darkness he could sense that appeared on the street corner near the human, and before it could reach the pair another male human appeared on a rooftop nearby and shot some of it's power towards it. The shot impacted into the chest of the centaur, but it kept going as if nothing had happened, and as the last human male appeared and yelled out a incoherent taunt to the creature it raised it's humanoid arm and waved it down earthwards to immediately cast the spell Meteor.
It seemed the status effect of Silence had no effect.
The comets of magic blasted down on the battlefield as if the very air Omega Weapon's arm had ripped through following in it's wake, each meteor in diameter about the average height of each warrior, and the shock wave explosion that rippled across the ground in each of the twelve asteroids were three times the size of them in radius. As these barraged down on all the villains on the battlefield, Omega weapon did not let up to see if it had wiped from existence the pitiful wielders of darkness that dared stood it it's wake, beams of red light shining out from it's eyes and searing trails of scorched earth that surrounded each individual, before the earth beneath their feet exploded upwards in a field of destructive energy in the form of Megido Flame. This technique was not so easy to dodge or defend against as the Meteor spell, for the field of energy exploded upwards further than the height of the many first-story buildings in the city that were higher than any human could possibly jump and obliterated any shadows caught within it.
Already the Omega Weapon had charged through the building that the white-haired man had been standing upon which had now reduced to mere rubble and dust, moving faster and with more power than that of a speeding freight train to encircle the survivors it finally registered were strong enough had challenged it's abominable might, each trample of it's feet upon the earth making a mighty tremor that shook and deafened the silent earth. It had been far too long it had met a party that could give it a challenge, and for him to test them of their will to live, to either out-best him or for it to absorb their darkness for his own unbreakable power. As long as there was power to be challenged, and death to be surpassed, it would keep coming back to face the mightiest that stood in this world and devour their source of absolution for it's own.
For it was inevitable that in the end, all humans of light and darkness would break in the force of true power to become true monsters like it was, or face complete extinction.
Such was the nature of survival, of life and death's cycle, and the persistence of true power's will that would annihilate all until existence was unto itself.

So, it seemed that others had come.
Seifer heard the gun attack from a nearby building, as well as saw a dark figure attempt to attack the creature's leg - which the blonde personally thought was not a very well thought out idea considering the general size of the beast compared to the size of the man's sword, but whatever - and smirked a bit. Well, though his arrogance wanted all the glory for himself, as always, he rarely if ever worked alone when it came down to it. He always had the likes of Raijin or Fujin at his side to back him up....and he considered what he saw as a 'power' over others as part of what made him so strong. Maybe these others could be of assistance as well....they were already attacking without him even having to say anything, after all.
Yes, that actually seemed like a very good idea. These others could help Seifer defeat this creature and regain control of his world....and then, once the creature itself had been dealt with, he would deal with his new 'companions.' Or maybe he would not even work directly with them at all but just let them....do their thing for a while, while doing his own attacks, and STILL deal with them at the end. He tapped Hyperion a few times on his shoulder as he swung it around him in thought before nodding to himself, forgetting his situation for a few seconds to come to the conclusion that, yes, he really was quite good. Yes indeed.
But in those moments, he realized that the gunner man's attack had not even phased the creature in the slightest and it was still continuing to walk away from him, also ignoring his attempt to gain its attention. And then the attack came.
And came it did.
Fire began to raid down from the Weapon as it cast meteor, and cyan eyes widened for a moment before Seifer came completely back to the present, quickly throwing himself from side to side to avoid the blasts of fire and rock, a few times even being forced to throw himself to the ground and roll away in order to avoid being hit. Around him, the town was coming to a state of more and more carnage from the blasts, and when they finally stopped and he pulled himself to his feet, he felt a bit banged up himself. The gunblader scowled as he looked down at his now-soiled white jacket, and knew he had to have at least a few matching bruises beneath.
But he had no time to think, to even react, because the beast attacked again - and this time, it was even more powerful. As the red light began to shine from somewhere in the creature's head - Seifer could not see exactly where, considering he was still looking at it from behind - he knew there was going to be trouble. As more fire appeared, at first he thought he was going to be okay, because it was mostly in the direction away from him....but then the ground beneath his very feet exploded, sending him soaring in an unknown direction through the air only to land on the ground some distance away roughly, bouncing a few times before he could roll a bit to take the pressure of the fall off.
For a few seconds the blonde lay on the ground, stunned, uncertain what exactly had happened but knowing that it had really ticked him off as he felt pain in every part of his body. This thing really was tough - it probably thought it was the toughest thing on the planet at the moment. Well, it had another think coming, Seifer thought with a growl as he gritted his teeth to the pain and forced himself to his feet. After regaining his sense of direction, he began to fire rapidly with his gunblade towards what he hoped were more vulnerable parts - its head and near its underbelly - unwilling to get too physically close just yet.
"Try to get as many hits in as you can before it can attack again!!" Seifer then yelled out with all the volume he could muster, a definite ordering growl in his tone. He had absolutely no idea where the other attackers had gone - he had never even seen any one other than the one that had attacked its leg - or if they were even still alive, but if they were....well, he hoped they heard him. This was NOT going to be easy, even Seifer had to admit that.

((I'm just going to temporarily remove Vanitas from the thread until the next post. Sorry if this messes with the post but I don't want to lose the thread for everyone))
Upon seeing the creature begin movement Vanitas backed more into the shadows that he appeared. His body submerged within it making him practically invisible and apart of the shadows. He would wait for the other people to draw out the Weapon's weakness and then he would come in and end the deal.

The copy watched his attack strike target, but the results appeared to be nihil. There wasn't a wound and when the monster suddenly started an attack, it became clear that the status effect hadn't taken place. He had noticed another attacking the Weapon from below, but apparently without results as the weapon simply continued and threw out his assault.
Meteor was cast and the blasts came down. G Slayer didn't bother to move from his spot, except for lowering his gunblade due to the weight and hanging more to the back. Then a meteor striked right into the building he was standing on and he was thrown forward. The copy fell to the ground and slided over it as another meteor hit the top of the building, breaking a part off, the G Slayer fell through the cracks and fell down into the building. From all the sounds, he could hear the city being destroyed by the blasts of meteor. The building he was now in was breaking apart and collapsing as well, not really leaving much of a building, instead only rubble and ruins.
Then the blasts had stopped for a moment. G Slayer stayed laying between two walls that had fallen on top of him and covered in dust and rubble. Some pieces of glass were stuck in his left arm from a window. The copy started to push one of the large chunk of wall off him and get back up, but before he could rise fully there was a next attack as flames and energy exploded from below, blazing through the walls, and creating even more destruction to the copy's surroundings, but also damaging the man's body further.
First he was thrown down and now he was blown back up. The building around him broke even further to pieces and the copy's leg was twisted due to the wall that had first made it stuck was now moving upwards again. The copy simply tried to feel what was becoming of his body and made sure to keep his body as much able to fight back as he could.
The attack then ended, it appeared to the copy at least. He couldn't see what was going on outside as he was stuck under a half destroyed building. Without warning suddenly the building started to crush him further as something heavy was seemingly crushing the place. The Weapon was stomping or flattening the building under its feet, the copy could tell. He couldn't exactly move from his squashed position, though.

The sword clashed with the beast's skin. Yukimura thought that it would pierce it, but he was proven wrong. The blade stopped upon impact, ringing a little bit after Yukimura moved the blade away. He hopped back and looked up at the beast. It began to target them, casting down flaming rocks down upon them from the heavens. Yukimura didn't expect such an attack from this beast. He was awe struck by the attack.
"This is what we are facing? Such power," Yukimura exclaimed, watching the flaming rocks fall upon their location. A rock landed next to him, sending out a shock wave outwards, while creating a crater in the ground. He snapped back to reality, upon which he realized that he was sent to his left side due to the shock wave. He hit the ground a few times, before finally stopping at a wall.
He groaned in pain and forced himself out of the wall. He muttered out loud, "Damn it! How could I have been hit so easily by something like that?!"
Yukimura made his way onto the street again, to only realize that another spell was being used. This time, a powerful flame erupted from the ground, causing the earth to bend and shatter beneath where it was casted. Yukimura wasn't far from the blast, but it wasn't close enough to hit him dead on. However, the attack, too, sent out a shock wave. This shock wave was more powerful than the previous one. It sent Yukimura into a vicious roll, while finally forcing him to release his weapon. The sword was sent into a wall, cutting into it like it was butter. However, it didn't go all the way through. It was lodged into the wall, with practically the whole blade stuck in the wall with only the handle visible.
Yukimura, on the other hand, was sent through a wall on the same building his sword was in. He broke many objects inside the building. He was cut in some place, his clothes being shredded quite a bit in the process. Bruises were visible on his arm and face. Crimson liquid dripped over his right eye brow and eye, causing Yukimura to close it.
"No... I will not... die by such a thing," Yukimura stated, as he brought himself out of the rubble. Glass stuck out of his back, through his clothes. He clenched his teeth tightly while he staggered back out of where he was just smashed through. He looked over to the beast, which was moving through several buildings to attack more civilians.
Yukimura ignored the beast for a bit to get his sword out of the wall. He came across the handle and grasped it with both hands, with one foot on the wall. He pulled on the handle, causing the sword to move a small bit. He cursed and released his sword. To yank it out of the wall right now was a waste of time for Yukimura. The beast needed to be taken care of before anymore damage could be dealt.
"I'll get this out later. If I waste my time with this, I lose important information to finding out how to become immortal," Yukimura told himself. He walked away from the sword towards where the path the beast was taking. He brought his hands over one another, while focusing his magic . Moisture slowly began to increase in between the hands.
A man with a odd sword shouted out to attack the beast while it wasn't attacking. Yukimura responded, "Give me some time. I need to prepare this spell!"
(Casting has started. Two posts remaining before the spell is casted.)

All of them had to be destroyed.
The creature had already taken out one of the users of darkness already, the fire and shockwaves wiping his existence clean out of the shadows and back into the void of great darkness that lay beyond. The giant mouth in the stomach of the creature seemed to twist into a satisfied grin, for another was stuck underneath a solid object that wasn't so solid anymore. Which left two active yet powerful forces left to oppose it, but even they would not be enough to stop the force of it's unstoppable might. Already they had been damaged by his attacks, pushed to the point of weakness... it would only be a matter of time before they, too, like the two before them were unable to act or sent into utter oblivion.
Then it felt something different in it's cellular structure, piercing it in it's two faces... was that pain? It had not felt the sensation in a long time, the feeling numb to it's senses, it's body reacting in recoil as it flinched at the bullets ridden into it's cheek and taking out a part of it's face. The creature slid it it's tracks, sliding into the side of a building, it's weight toppling both itself and the structure over like dominoes. It picked itself up and shook the rubble off, letting out a confused roar, batting it's arms around as it leveled the building to free itself. It's human head looked over to see the human male that had struck him with the projectiles, while the head on it's underbelly stared blankly at the other male over by the wall. It had been a long time during this epoch, but not very long considering it's existence on this world that it had faced the potential of true power before. And... it liked it, finally... a challenge.
The humanoid hands of the mighty Omega Weapon began charging, as it bent all of space around all three remaining males, forming dark orbs around them in a haze of violet and black darkness. Then the air within the voids of space contracted back in on themselves, the density of the air becoming heavy as gravity did it's work, in a attempt to magically crush them with Gravjira. If successful, the spell would trap them in place and magically crush and flatten their body mass, before the magic undid itself and reverted the gravity back to normal, taking a quarter of their health in the process. The orbs dispelled as soon as this familiar dark magic was finished, the fiend stopping it's conjuring as it started marching forward into battle once more, it's mighty feet trembling the earth with every step.
To finish this battle... to even survive it... was unthinkable. The humans by right were corruptible, fragile beings full of fragile hearts that had succumbed to their true nature of darkness and inevitably crumple beneath it's weight. Every day, humans did what they did to survive, to make sure to preserve their lives, perhaps in the false hope of passing on it's genetic material through breeding to their offspring, or for the more self-serving trait of elongating their useless lives for the sake of living it out in selfish pleasure. But there was no pleasure to be had, as each person looked out for their own state of bliss and in turn overruled or overlooked others in the process, and sooner or later suffering or sorrow would blossom in the shadow of neglect. Sins were born in the silhouettes of others joy and hope, or even more in their own torment, until inevitably every heart gave birth to a darkness they sooner or later would yield to. But dark or light, the nature of humans to give in and mortally die was their fragility, and in consequence their hearts yielded to destruction.
For there was no light or dark. These beings did not know the true meaning of survival, it was either kill, or be killed. That was why Omega Weapon was and always would be a superior being, for it only knew desolation and indomitable might, and nothing more. It had no conscience, no hindrance of thought or emotion to blind it's supreme will, just the instinct to slaughter all within it's path. Light would shine it's strength in it's bonds, and darkness their strength in the thirst for absolute power of the individual, but both had weaknesses and therefore would crumple after it could see what the world's strongest fiend was capable of. For it was not merely a vessel of immense power and single-minded tenancy... it's powers were close to that of a revered myth, a legend... even a god. While even it had fell, so had gods, and it had and would rise and rise again to purge this world of the weak that were not worthy of the process of natural selection.
Continuing it's assault from having finished it's immense gravity attack, the field immediately leaped upwards and aimed itself at the blond male that had shot small metal projectiles at it earlier, it's large mouth opening wide as it displayed the width of it's fanged maw. Energy began to charge up between the jaws quickly, a ring of energy appearing around the larger and lower head, sending out a shockwave with the force of a cyclone as it lifted cars and rubble off the streets and floating into the air away from the pressurized force. Immediately the energy gathered from the fiend's oral cavity was picked up by the hands of it's humanoid counterpart above it, co-operating in tandem sync as it threw down powerful bolts of non-elemental energy as it unleashed Terra Break, smashing down in a similar fashion as meteor but with less flames and wider shockwaves.
It landed with a powerful cataclysmic smash on top of another building, and hopped off that as it shook the earth in it's footsteps towards the male copy wedged underneath ruins, counting down the human's hopeless endeavours into inescapable doom.

[Sorry for being super slow and barely making this post in time, guys. Been a long week, and that volcano made it a LOT longer]
Where had everyone else gone?
Seifer glared around him in rage and frustration, wondering where everyone else that he had been counting on had gone. This was exactly why he never counted on anyone other than Fujin and Raijin - everyone else simply disappointed and failed him every step of the way, and it seemed that these strangers had done the same. Granted, Seifer had never had real control over any of them, had never directly asked for their aid, and had no intentions of ever sharing the glory with them if they had survived this encounter....but all the same, he had been depending on their support and their lasting a bit longer than the creature's first attack!
After gritting his teeth, cyan eyes snapped back to the creature at hand, noticing that either his own weapon - or that of another, he really did not care at this point - had at least done some damage to the beast, but not that much. Seifer growled in anger, frustrated both in the fact that the creature seemed unstoppable and in his own anger at himself for not knowing what to do next. He had no idea how to handle this situation or this level of a fight, and wondered if perhaps he had done the right thing by jumping into this so blindly...
Seifer's arrogant, self-confident nature told him to brush off those thoughts and carry on, because if he was ever going to become what he wanted to, and have the power that he desired so much, he would have to fight - and this might not even be his hardest battle, no matter how it felt right now. He was the strongest thing in all or Archipelago, right? Wasn't that what he always told himself? It was all the more reason to dispose of this beast, and quickly...he had little time left.
The gunblader recognized the creature's next attack when the purple bubble of energy appeared around him, but just because he knew what it was did not necessarily mean he would be able to stop it. Manipulating gravity was a common enough form of magic-based attack, and when it was successful, it was always devastating....and there was little the victim could do to protect oneself. And as Seifer began to feel the pressure on his entire body as the bubble of energy surrounded him, blocking his movements and making him unable to fight back, he knew in his mind that it was going to work - and work it did. When the gravity finally released its hold and disappeared, Seifer felt weakened - but it only made him more angry.
"Is that....all....you've got?" Seifer demanded between breaths, in-taking the cool air sharply as it struck his lungs which had been so recently almost crushed out of existence. His voice was nothing more than a low growl - the beast showed no sign of intelligence as far as speech recognition went - but it was a threat nonetheless. Hyperion was used to support his weight for a few moments as Seifer steadied himself, preparing for the next attack, and assuming there would be another considering the creature previously attacked twice in quick succession before he was able to do a counter attack.
The next attack was even worse than the previous ones.
The gunblader could only watch as the energy formed n the beast's mouth, and it seemed to be looking directly at him - seemed he had caught its attention after all. After standing frozen for a few moments, the blonde took off running towards a near alleyway that barely remained between two almost-demolished buildings, hoping that even that small amount of protection might save his life. Seifer crouched down in the small area, covering his head and closing his eyes. He could hear objects going past him at high speeds, and was glad that he was not in their direct path, but he dared not open his eyes.
The next thing Seifer remembered was waking up on the ground, far from his small hole of protection.
Ears ringing, the gunblader tried to get his bearings but found it extremely difficult. As his eyes fluttered open, he realized he was laying on his side, and he could vaguely see both the creature in the near distance and what he thought was possibly the place he had been hiding. Everything looked even more wrecked than before, though, and he could only assume that another explosion or shock wave or something of some kind had happened, and that was the explanation for his current state. He took in a deep, shuddering breath, feeling pain shooting through his entire body as he tried to push himself to his feet, again using Hyperion which was somehow still in his grasp to support his weight as he rose, facing the beast once more.
"One more time, chicken wuss."
Seifer closed his eyes for a final few seconds, concentrating on his adrenaline coupled with the pain coursing through his very veins to find that power within himself that could only be unlocked in situations like this one - situations where he was nearly beaten, but not quite. Situations where he had one last chance of redemption. His hands began to seem to glow as the gunblader initiated No Mercy, before firing off the first two fireballs at the beast before him. However, that small move was only the beginning. With his remaining strength, Seifer began to twirl Hyperion at his side quickly, its form becoming a blur with the motion, before firing it, the force leaving a visible trail of energy as it travelled towards the creature before striking it, and engulfing it in flames for a few seconds.
Hopefully, those seconds would be vital.
And with that, the blonde fell to his knees, forehead resting on the hilt of his weapon, eyes closed to everything around him as he simply struggled to remain conscious, hoping against hope for some sort of...victory? Was that just too much to ask?
