Gaia.
A world locked in an eternal struggle with a select handful of individuals who reside upon her. The Planet had suffered greatly in the past having to fend itself off against the dangerous threat of Sephiroth's Meteor, followed a couple years later by Kadaj's Geostigma. So much had happened on this world regarding the Shin-Ra Company, SOLDIER, Wutai, The Turks, AVALANCHE... the list could go on and unfortunately for this world, there was no rest in sight. No light at the end of the tunnel and no ledges or seats to stop and have a break on. Gaia itself was for now at peace though, with the last battle to have taken place upon this world, changing the alignment of Gaia itself to the Light, the Lifestream regaining it's strength once more and healing the planet of all it's damage. Yet there was never any rest for the wicked, as they say.
No sooner had Gaia only just started to get used to the whole 'peace and harmony' idea, did a man clad in black leather clothing with shoulder length silver hair, return once more, with plans and plots to throw this world back into never ending chaos once more. Last time though, he had only himself and his intelligence to rely on. Fighting such a battle against three powerful users of the Light, plus one of his own brothers, was difficult. Well, a minor challenge. Kadaj, as the black-clad man was known, had successfully fought against a four-some of Heroes back on Spira a few months ago, and was able to walk away relatively unharmed. Things would be different this time around though. Not only was the Remnant stronger with a coulple new tricks up his sleeve, Bahamut SIN had grown in strength plus Kadaj wasn't by himself this time.
Or was he...?
Down a dark, shadowy alley not too far away from the Meteor Memorial, Kadaj was watching in silence as the near hundred or so civilians, perhaps more, were living their daily lives wandering about the huge clearing where Yazoo and Loz once took control of all the kidnapped children, chatting and buying items and whatnot off the odd vendor dotted about. This was also where Bahamut SIN first made his appearance, giving AVALANCHE a run for their money until Cloud showed up. The silver haired Remnant's hands clenched tightly into fists, half wishing that Cloud would show up so he could get even with him... yet at the same time, half hoping that Cloud would stay away. A sinister, dark presence was lingering about and the Remnant knew exactly who it belonged too, for he himself had personally asked for his co-operation in this attack on Gaia.
Sticking to the shadows and leaning against the alley wall slightly, the Remnant looked out into the clearing, up past the Memorial and over towards the building where Rufus has revealed Mother to him. The silver-haired youth's anger grew but he managed to keep it under control for the time being. He was fueling himself, feeding wood to the fire burning within him so that whatever Light-hearted fool got in his way, would feel his full wrath. "Stay away Cloud. I don't want 'him' to take you away. I'll see to that personally..." Kadaj spoke to himself, quietly so that his voice didn't echo around the alley. Upon finishing, he closed his eyes for a moment before eventually nodding to himself. The silence within the alley was interrupted by the sound of a sword being drawn. "I can already feel them coming... Might as well get things started. Hope the others stick to the 'plan'." Spoke the silver-haired Remnant as he begun to walk out from the alley out towards the Meteor Memorial.
It only took a few paces before a woman nearby turned in Kadaj's direction and let out a frightened shriek. She obviously must have remember the Remnant, or perhaps one of his brothers from the Geostigma Crisis. Several other people glanced the Remnant's way when the woman yelped, only for them to witness her being sliced in half. Kadaj had jumped the woman's way and attacked her viciously with his Souba, slicing her across the gut and watched as she fell down to the ground, not moving afterwards. This naturally caused more screams and yells to escape from the massive crowd, to which was music for the Remnant's ears. He just chuckled as he slashed his Souba by his side, removing the blood from the twin blades. This should hopefully cause some attention and result in the Light heading his way. It's time to reclaim this world for the Darkness.

The screams haunted her.
Aerith had seen to it herself to at least visit this new town outside of the ruined Midgar. Where she had promised Tifa to visit the new Seventh Heaven, and she had wanted to meet Denzel and see Marlene again. Of course, nothing could ever go as planned, and the sudden rise of running footsteps started the young woman. Emerald eyes glanced up, and people by her in what seemed to be a blur. A darkening presence assaulted her senses, and soon she was running as well. Aerith shoved her way past the terrified people, trying to find out what was wrong. The hem of her dress nearly tangled about her legs, but she continued on, her heart racing, and the fear rising within her. Why was this happening now? Every time the light managed to win within this world, the darkness continued to seek out any opening it could find. As long as there was light, the shadows would be there to grow. A never-ending cycle, but one that did not have to end in such bloodshed.
Blood stained the ground, and her heart seemed to stop.
The woman laid there, and Aerith had no idea if she was alive or dead. Emerald eyes flickered to Kadaj, and she regarded him with a surprised expression. Not too long ago had she met him within Cosmo Canyon, and now he had slaughtered an innocent woman. Aerith pushed herself forward, though, and she dropped to her knees by the injured woman's side, and she looked over the wound. Dimly, she wondered if this was what she had looked like when Sephiroth, or whatever extension of him, had stabbed her through her back. Stopping the thought, curative energy swirled around her hands, and Aerith placed her hands over the wounds. Her brow was knit in silent concentration, and the young woman sent up a silent prayer to the Planet. The Cetra could sense that her spirit had not quite left her body, and she poured more energy into the Cura spell. Aerith watched the skin knit back together, and with a shaky breath, she leaned back. "You'll be alright. Everything is alright," she murmured gently, the woman suddenly clutching onto her.
Aerith rose to her feet, pulling the woman into a standing position, before gently pushing her toward the running crowd. "Run, and get everyone out of Edge!" she called. Emerald eyes closed, and she slowly turned to face Kadaj, pained at the idea of having to fight him, but she would. Her hand was outstretched, and the Princess Guard appeared in a flash of light. Her fingers curled around the staff, and she turned narrowed eyes onto the Remnant. Why had he done this? Hurting innocent people had never sat well with the Cetra, and she loathed battle. "Kadaj, this isn't an answer to anything, and I don't want to fight you," she admitted, sadness shining in her eyes. Aerith resolved herself, and her gaze turned into steely determination.
"I will if I have to, though!"

Yazoo has walked around again a few times after he had returned. He had frightened some people, but never attacked. Instead the first time he was found by Terra who tried to get some explanations and the second time he didn't bother with them as he had some things to do with Loz. Even if he wasn't causing any terror, the people probably wouldn't just stop being scared of him. Not that it all mattered to him this time. This time... he would hurt... many.
From the Corridors Yazoo could see that Kadaj had already started the fun. However, there was another. A woman was helping another woman in healing her after she had been stabbed down by Kadaj. That wasn't good. The remnant was covered in a cloak, his hood was pulled over his head, making it look like he was part of Organization XIII. He revealed himself at the exact place where everyone was running and Heartless appeared with him. The black creatures surprised many of the people as Shadow and Neoshadow Heartless attacked the people running his way. Air Pirates and Air Soldiers he had been able to gather came from the Corridors as well and soared through the sky to attack more.
Yazoo smirked under his hood as he watched the people getting attacked. He raised a hand and light started to come from his entire arm then he quickly curled his arm inwards and immediately after stretched it entirely out at a building, which released an explosion spell to blow up the building and sent the walls shattering on top of the crowd. This world would be taken by the Dark and the people could just go to the Lifestream with it.
Then his placed his arm crooked in front of himself and a glow came off it again as he stretched his arm again, this time forward to send out a Firaga at a man that just charged at him with a crowbar. Apparently the man thought he could wack him out of the way, instead he ended burning brightly and blasted back into the people again, letting others catch fire as well. The remnant was already very amused with the attack.

The nightmares would never cease to end.
It only took a few seconds, but most of the population wandering around the monument had cleared out of the area in just a few short minutes in startled yelps and screams, the cars in the area long gone before them. And yet, some of the crowd had been blocked off from escape from the emergence of a man in a black coat, which summoned Heartless on the civilians caused even more chaos by exploding a nearby building and setting a man on fire. The building was of little concern if it was just showering small bits of shrapnel, but the Heartless could quickly spread in an area like this, and the burning man was of concern as well.
There was a flash of light as quick as a lightning flash across the square, and then in a matter of seconds, a shower of bullets hailed down towards the Heartless the stranger had summoned.
Piercing sniper bullets, enough to pass through a person and kill them with a single shot, came swooping down on the Heartless in the area with sharp crack in the air as each precise shoot aimed for the center of their bodies where their darkened heart lay. One bullet had also been fired into a nearby water tank on a building, so the entire contents of it flooded down onto the street and put out the fire that had been burning the civilians, and soothing the burns they had suffered while he watched them have enough sense to stumble away into the alleyways. Before the black-cloaked man had a chance to register where the shots were coming from, a single accurate bullet was fired towards the man to graze the side his neck, rip a hole through the back of hood, and with enough blow-black blow the hood right off the man's head. Not that the shooter needed to see his face... he could already smell the man's filthy Mako-filled scent from where the man himself, Vincent Valentine, was boldly standing on top of a building with his rifle Hydra in his hands, and could sniff out his brother just as well as he could lock onto him with his sniper scope. His crimson red cape and flowing raven hair vividly announced his presence, taking a deep breath, with Hydra clutched tightly against him and his hawk-like blood-red eyes piercing through the zoom lens onto the street below at the leader of the Remnants. With the absence of Weiss's expected return, Kadaj had proved to be a rather antagonizing rival the ex-Turk had to deal with, but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle.
But he was glad he was not alone in his fight, catching the sight and smell of the Cetra woman wearing pink.
He was not worried about Aerith at all from this distance from her, and knew she had the power to deal with Kadaj on her own without his help. But in the meantime, he could support her with cover-fire from up where he was standing, and deal with the damage control that Yazoo was creating. The single shot that had been aimed at the Remnant had been a warning shot, and while he knew they weren't ones to retreat unless they had a plan, he was also not without mercy as well being with the Light. Aerith's words had not gone unheard to from his sharp ears, and he would not demean her warning to Kadaj by shooting his brother to provoke him. He took in a deep breath, reloading the gun quickly while he waited for movement below, his index finger locked into place over the trigger when he had finished in mere moments. Then again, he didn't mind if the brothers didn't heed the warning. In fact, he would welcome it, and the chance to put them down to defend this world. He was tired of the constant nuisance they brought to Gaia, and would put an end to it once and for all.
One way, or the other.
Nightmares were only nightmares, after all.
The villains could stomp and tantrum all over the city as much as they wanted, but they didn't seem to have learned from their attack here last time, that attacks like this one hadn't changed the lives of the people here at all except for to become wary of their faces. Before they had attacked moments before, everything was peaceful and as it should be, as if the Remnants had never attacked the monument with Bahamut SIN or the Shadow Creepers. They could never make these people live in fear, and not for long, for their modernization and perseverance would go on without them. Even if they torched all of Edge down, he was sure they and AVALANCHE would be there to rebuild it back again. Because people had hope for their futures, no matter how many times they were terrorized, they would not let go of that hope.
He sensed them... they were coming.
His rifle still trained on Yazoo, and watching Aerith and Kadaj face off out of his peripheral vision, Vincent tensed up with his golden claw wrapping tightly around the underside of the rifle slowly when he felt more presences gradually being drawn to the ensuing havoc. Some were with the light, others were with the darkness, and one particular aura he could feel Chaos inside him sense that it had felt before. He could feel the monsters in his blood crawling underneath the surface of his skin, Chaos more than anything else, itching for the chance to go one-on-one to counterpart with the angel with the one wing. Vincent wanted his shot too, to make the lie he told Lucrecia that her son was dead the truth, but his rational mental defenses resisted the urge with the reminder that only his blond friend could destroy him. The rifleman had Yazoo to contend with, anyway, and focused on taking his resentment out on him in anticipation instead... his red eyes turned steely, focused on taking out vital points of the Remnant's body.
Gaia would awake from this nightmare to the light of the coming dawn, and the hardened expression on his ivory porcelain face did not contradict his determination, remaining still on the rooftop like a silent guardian of stone.

Laughter was just a distant sound in this place now as the screams echoed within the young king's ears. Just moments ago, the people of this world was just simply enjoying their peaceful life without a worry at all, but just like that... it all ended.
How cruel life can be, making unexpected turns on the people. Life was unfair, it couldn't be helped.
Among the screaming crowds, Emil watched the events unfold before her. Standing where she was as the civilians ran right pass her. Screams, heartless, blood, Kadaj, burning, gunfire.... Everything, everything was happening all at once. Who knew such a small place could just turn into war with a snap of a finger and Emil is just part of it. Just weeks ago, she was making a friend, and now she's just making more enemies. A memory... that's all it's ever going to be... Emil thought to herself, her head lowering down a bit as the thoughts Sora mentioning why we protect the things we protected. Everything around her seemed to slow down as if everyone was running in slow motion.
Remembering Sora's words before letting out a small sigh. Even though she knew the reasons for why most fight, she didn't know why... the darkness... the others fight. It couldn't be helped, if this is what her master wished for... she'll only obey. Why? Though she clearly knew she was being used, she didn't mind. Because she was using him too, in a sense. If she learns about the darkness, there's a higher chance for her to find her brother. So...
"For my light... I'll gladly fall into the darkness." Emil spoke to herself before lifting her head up once more, feeling determination all over again. Until a sudden flash of memory went across her mind. That time... where she killed those pirates within Port Royal... She almost forgot about that. Would she have to hurt the innocents here too? Would she had to take the people's lives like they were nothing again? Could she do it? A small sense of panic rising up within her, but she quickly tighten her hands into fists and frowned. No... She won't think about that time now, what happened... happened. It wasn't like she could control herself anyways. Plus, if she kept on rejecting the darkness within her... there's no way she'll get closer to her brother at that rate! For Emil, I'll fight! No matter what!
With that thought in mind, everything else around her seemed to pick up it's normal pace once more. And just like that, she sprinted forward. Dashing right pass the crowds as she dodged from making any collision to anyone as she did so, her scarf fluttering about as it gripped tight around her neck. At this point, a few civilians took double glances on what just ran pass them, wondering why someone would be running right into a danger zone like that but would merely shrug it off before turning back to run.
There, she spotted her master and a woman not too far from him. She kept in mind on what her master told her before they entered this world, about the 'plan'. With a small frown, she narrowed her eyes as she drew out her sword. She stopped her running as she skidded on her feet. Doing a quick 360 degree turn as her sword glowed a bright red color, the heat around it quickly raising before she sliced the air, causing a slice of flames to escape her sword and sent flying to the women in pink. But in her dull green eyes, it showed a quick hint of regret before it quickly faded away within them.

The sound of his feet pounding seemed overpowering in Gilgamesh’s head, to the point where the screams of those around him seemed dull by comparison. From an outside perspective it would likely be the opposite, but the swordsman’s reality emerged the victor today. He held his naginata with the blade to the side and the shaft perpendicular to his back as he covered the staircase, hand closer to the point for use at a closer range. He passed a variety of doors on his way up, and within heard the terrified shrieks of its occupants and the shuffling of Heartless. He could not stop and help though, lest the mob of shadowy beings in hot pursuit close the gap between him and them.
To be honest, he had no idea what was going on. None whatsoever. He had been to this world before, to collect his Buster Sword, and hadn’t encountered any crazy shadow-gremlins. But as soon as he stops in a second time they’re on his ass like cats on raw tuna. Where did something like this ever come from? In all fairness the local populace seemed to have been caught with their pants down as well, so it was possible that he had shown up just as these guys were making their debut. Considering that he had appeared in worlds where a witch wanted to thrash time and a fat queen was off committing genocide (in that order) this wasn’t too much of a stretch. A break now and then would have been much appreciated though.
When he had gone up three levels of building, Gilgamesh decided to stand his ground. He reached the far wall at the top of the steps, pivoting at just the right time to face his aggressors. White eyes grew wider when he came to realize just how many of the little terrors wanted a piece of him. The entire stairwell was practically crawling with the dark figures; to the point where he swore he saw more shadow and yellow eye than he did building. This was not good news. The mob charged at Gilgamesh and he responded in turn, thrusting his pole arm directly into the column of shifting darkness. He managed to pierce two in this way, causing them to dissipate into nothingness, but the rest of the army plowed right into him. Dozens of grasping hands slammed into the Ancient Man of Mystery, forcing him first against the wall, and then through it.
And so did Gilgamesh come to be in the square; by falling from three stories alongside a swarm of Heartless. The mob mostly broke up when their feet left solid ground, giving him a chance to retaliate. His spear flashed forth in a great barrage of attacks, striking at every Shadow above him with a fierce “hoo!”, “ha!” or “hya!” By the time he finally did hit the ground, all of the Heartless directly above him had been destroyed. He lay on his back for a moment, groaning with pain, when he realized that his other attackers had not perished in their fall. As the remaining Shadows leaped for the kill Gilgamesh curled his body up and spun his legs in a series of wild windmill kicks, repelling the attackers with each strike. When finally given some breathing room he leaped to his feet and fell upon his enemies. He found that, while formidable when concentrated, the little shades were quite weak individually, and so easily finished off what remained of his opponents.
Seemingly finished, Gilgamesh wiped his brow and made as of to find somewhere to rest. But it was only then that he noticed a second battle occurring right in the very square he had landed in, between people that looked somewhat more human. The man in red blinked, thoroughly confused by this development. Just what the hell was going on?

Sephiroth had appeared over the ruins of Midgar and floated in the sky. He landed on top of the tallest building and viewed the town of Edge below. The One Winged Angel hadn't been to Edge, but his Remnants had. It was a town fueled by the hopes of the people. Their hope was a useless attempt at trying to avoid the inevitable. Jenova would soon return and use the planet as her own. It was her rightful place, but Sephiroth knew that her control had no effect on him. That was another advantage to him. Anyone under the controls of Jenova, even his remnants, would obey her and to an extent himself.
He wouldn't allow Jenova to control him and in turn he actually controlled her. It was almost like if they were one being. The world of Gaia had fallen into the darkness once before, and it was because of Sephiroth and Genesis that allowed the darkness to take over. The horsemen would not be allowed to enter the world that was rightfully Jenova's. Sephiroth had come back here not only to take the world back, but he was also searching for Cloud's friends. The puppets friends were Cloud's weakness and he would use them to his advantage.

"Man. I've been walking around here forever. It's like getting lost in a maze." Zack said with letting out a sigh. That's when he started to see a few people getting closer and closer. He instantly spotted Aerith and then Kadaj. Slowly, he started to notice all of the people from before too. This day just kept on getting interesting. "Boy oh boy." Instanly he put his right hand on the handle of his Buster blade.
While still walking he pulled out the giant sword with ease; single handedly that is. Zacks peaceful blue Mako eyes looked at Kadaj first. "So your back." He said in a amused tone of voice. He knew right away this was where he was supposed to be. Fair was back on this planet to fight off the darkness again. It appears, he was right when he said the darkness just keeps coming back to Cloud.
What an annoyance these guys were. This time he noticed Yazoo was on Kadaj's side. They looked kind of similar, maybe like brothers or something? That's when it hit Zack like a ton of bricks. Kadaj and Yazoo were two of the Remnants which made up Sephiroth or something like that. On his journeys, he had found out a lot of things. Really, it was nice to see Aerith once more.

The subtle sound of a persons crimson fluid within their bodies, leaving and splattering across the ground was such a sweet and satisfying sound. Perfection to what would ultimately befall all these pathetic humans. Kadaj just chuckled as he swung his Souba around himself, before returning the twin-bladed weapon back to it's sheath on his back. It was when he were about to turn and walk off to continue with his onslaught, did a flash of light catch his attention from the corner of his eye. The silver-haired youth turned and cast his cold glance upon the woman in pink. Aerith had come to defend Gaia from himself and his dark allies? This was unexpected. She were the first Light hearted being to come within range and she had arrived so... suddenly. There was clearly more to this girl then first met the eye.
"Aerith..." Kadaj said, his turquoise eyes narrowing further hide any expression or concern that was appearing across his face. "You don't belong here." He continued briefly, pausing as his eyes flicked to the image of another familiar girl who was approaching from Aerith's flank. Emil had made it to this world as planned and Kadaj held back a smirk as his eyes returned to Aerith, resuming speaking to her to keep her attention held upon him, allowing Emil the chance to score a preemptive strike. Kadaj's face remained emotionless for now as he stared at the woman in pink. "Then I too shall fight if you don't back down and leave this world." Kadaj demanded, his words being followed by the sound of his Souba being drawn once more, half to keep Aerith's focus upon him still, and half due to the other Light hearts he felt approaching.
Six new presences had appeared, indicating that the odds were even and this battle was going to take longer then expected. That was of no concern. Gaia would return to the darkness, no matter how long it would take. Taking a chance to quickly glance over either should and examine his surroundings, Kadaj spotted Emil from before as well as the familiar Zack Fair not too far away. Typical that he were to show his spiky-butt at a time like this. Just as well that the increasingly dark aura of Sephiroth was nearby too. Perhaps he'd deal with Zack? ~Can't count on him to do anything other then stand upon a building and waste my time and destroy my plan. Bastard... I don't even know why I asked him to join us...~ Kadaj thought to himself, hoping that his thoughts didn't come true and that the One Winged Angel would actually pull his weight and help win this fight. Kadaj wanted to sigh, but with his attention still focusing on holding Aerith's concentration, he dare not to least he want to reveal to Aerith that something was bothering him.
Who else was here? Yazoo was close and by the sounds of it, he was already starting his own fun. Good for him. The more chaos, the better their chances of winning. The Heroes would obviously put the civilians before themselves so that's what the darkness would focus on. Yet a gunshot eventually drew Kadaj's focus away from Aerith and off towards a building across the way. "Vincent..." Kadaj muttered coldly through clenched teeth, turning his body away from Aerith as he rounded himself to face the direction he heard the gunshot, spotting the shooter upon a building. A second later and the Remnant was off, dashing quickly through the screaming crowds. A couple of painful yelps escaped from the direction Kadaj had ran off in, as the silver-haired youth raised his Souba to cut down two men who were trying to get out of his way. That'll keep Aerith busy should she avoid Emil's attack. Dodging past a handful more civilians, the Remnant hit the breaks as he neared the building upon which the Ex-Turk resided. Eyes glaring skywards, Kadaj flicked his twin-bladed katana to a more secure grasp before launching himself up through the air towards the wall, kicking himself off as he sprinted up the side of the building.
As he neared the top edge, Kadaj slashed his Souba before him, slicing away half a foot of the top of the roof in order to try and throw up some rubble to stop Vincent from firing one of those sniper bullets directly into his face. Kadaj then continued upwards till he jumped up from the wall to land on the roof itself, hands grasping his Souba tightly as the twin-blades were brought up ready to block and deflect any bullets coming his way. His hands squeezed tightly around the Souba's handle, almost holding onto it for dear life, for if the crimson-cloaked man stood his ground and fired a sniper round at him, the impact would more then likely knock Kadaj back off the roof if he weren't prepared for it. "I'm so glad you came to play again Vincent. I never got to finish what I first started. That will change today! Prepare to die!!"

There was simply too much commotion for her to follow.
Dark presences spiking forth left and right, and the young woman calmed herself into staying focused. Her emerald gaze rested upon Kadaj, hesitant to fight him, and really having no wish to do so. In her mind's eye, she could see the saddened and lost youth, merely searching for that being he had craved to make proud. The mother that had not cared for him at all, and she had reached out. Her emotions had always been a hindrance at times, and the moment at hand did not disprove that knowledge. Aerith's grip upon her staff tightened, her knuckles bleeding to a stark white. Screams and panicked cries filled her ears, and it pained her to her very heart and core. The day had been sunny, and it had been filled with warmth and enjoyment, but all of that had been shattered within an instant. A cruel reminder of how unpredictable life could be, and how one should always cherish the moments had. Her name was murmured, but Aerith merely remained where she was.
"Kadaj, why?" His name escaped her lips with a saddened lilt. She regretted what had to take place, but she knew where her loyalties belonged. Her friends meant everything to her, and she had to keep them safe. Her breath hitched, and she felt a nagging sensation within the back of her mind. Racing darkness mixed with haphazard light, and the magic swirling into an attack. Aerith suddenly pivoted upon her foot, and she raised her staff before her. The energy suddenly flared around her, and a luminescent barrier formed around her, the Materia she used glowing as she cast Wall. The flames quickly hit against the barrier, and she was forced back. Aerith gnashed her teeth together, her brows furrowing as she managed to block the worst of the magical attack. It had been unexpected, and she quickly twirled back to face Kadaj. Until he had disappeared. The young woman was off in a pink blur, rushing after him.
Others had shone up, and she vaguely recognized the presences.
Vincent, Zack, and another armored man. If only she could have seen her friends in better circumstances! The echoes of gunshot rang through her ears, and pained screamed soon followed. Kadaj had quickly cut through several civilians to distract her. Emerald eyes widened, and she stumbled to a stop. No, he could not do this! The Cetra felt her heart stop, and she suddenly through her staff into the air, stretching her arms into the air. Slender fingers laced together, and she brought her hands down in a prayer-like gesture. Curative energy suddenly surrounded her, before spiraling outward to the injured victims. Her breath came out shakily, and the young woman stumbled toward her discarded staff. Emerald eyes quickly flickered toward Kadaj, who had once more vanished, but was quickly found racing toward the perch where Vincent was. Her brows furrowed, and it pained her, but Aerith raised her staff.
The energy coiled, and a hastily cast Firagra was quickly cast toward Kadaj.

Yazoo wondered why there was a water tank nearby where he had been burning people down. It was annoying and in the way. Perhaps an idea was to take down any water tanks near first and then use flames as an attack. He was just about to jump to dodge the water that came down as a shot grazed him and ripped his hood to reveal his head. Just from that instant, he assumed Vincent Valentine was near. Not like he needed to tell from the shots, he could sense the Chaos' container.
The silver-haired man jumped up and onto a balcony to evade getting wet. From there he looked up at Vincent, who was actually carrying a sniper rifle to shoot with instead of using his usual gun. Yazoo, now with his face shown, drew out his own gun. He didn't bothered shooting immediately as he sensed others arrive as well. Instead he focussed on Vincent as the man seemed to have his aim kept on him. If he had a problem, it would be a sniper hunting him right now. By keeping his eyes off the man, he had a much easier chance on taking him from this distance.
Yazoo could sense Kadaj and the woman together, then Kadaj's apprentice. There was a strange person who was taking down the Heartless somewhere, which made Yazoo wonder who it was. He could sense Sephiroth and Zack not far away. He then felt Kadaj moving as his apprentice dealt with the woman. Kadaj went for Vincent and as Yazoo was still under aim of Vincent, he started to move as well.
The remnant jumped down and moved quickly low into the crowd of people that were still scattered there, mostly due to the water having wiped them around. He kept his eyes on the sniper to be able to block or dodge attacks. His Velvet Nightmare was in his hand up ready for averting any attacks. As he moved, he tried to move more in Zack's and the unknown presence's directions. He was already seen, so it didn't matter which he would fight, the question was: what is Sephiroth planning?

All those plans of deception veiled as trust, gone to waste, and a betrayal spared.
And all by one single bullet. Disgraceful.
Vincent watched as the hood blew off Yazoo's head from the velocity of his sniper bullet precisely as he had aimed, revealing Yazoo for the traitor and coward he really was for all to see, as the so-called 'Organization member' he had been posing as ran away from his position towards another part of the city, where the new figures far off in the distance had emerged. Shame, really, but it didn't matter as long as Yazoo was no longer in the fight and injuring civilians. He was glad he had the higher ground and could see all from this viewpoint, because his cross-hairs swept back towards the scene of a young woman casting a fiery spell blocked by Aerith , early enough in time to see that the adversary she had chosen to battle against had abandoned her to come straight for him.
That's right, Kadaj. Come to me.
Watching the leader of the Remnants advance towards him from such a far distance with crimson eyes, he didn't bother shooting him at all, as he dis-assembled his Hydra and put it away on his person just as the silver-haired youth attacked the edge of the building to throw up a smokescreen.
And yet Vincent had nothing to shoot with in his hands, his posture passive and his expression blank as Kadaj came to a stop and stood before him.
Was he that predictable? Surely shooting Kadaj with bullets would just be a waste of ammunition, if he could see them coming, and would not achieve the desired end result Vincent wanted with the rubble he had thrown up at the end. He had conserved sniper ammunition, and speaking of predictable, Kadaj had some smart-alec quip to say to him about wanting to finish him off that Vincent had seen straight through had really meant he was the biggest threat to the Remnant right now.
But he should have attacked him... no, forget that, he should have never have chosen him as his opponent over Aerith.
The Cetra had followed them, much to Vincent's discontent of her safety, for while he respected her obligation to fight Kadaj on her own power, he would soon show her why he had felt concerned for her well-being at this proximity. Watching as Aerith called upon the power of the Ancients through her Materia in a Firaga spell, he acted quickly, having enough time to dignify Kadaj's taunt with a simple reply.
"I'm not afraid to fight a woman, Kadaj... you should be."
Immediately after he said that, he stepped aside, revealing behind him the stockpile of gas-filled barrels used to fill the the rooftop gas main in red warning lettering from behind his cloak. As he stepped to the side past Kadaj, he hopped off the edge of the building, pulling out Cerberus in a lightning-quick draw and fired immediately at the barrels. The invisible gas leaked out from the bullet holes in a loud hiss, and with the spark of the bullets and the flames from Aerith's Firaga, the entire rooftop detonated outwards in a deafening black and orange explosion.
Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice...
The force of the explosion pushing him out and away from the building, the ex-Turk flipped and landed swiftly on his feet, just behind Aerith as his raven hair and tattered cape caught up with gravity and fell over his back behind him. He slowly rose, his golden clawed fingers curled against his back as haunted red orbs fell over the flower girl, nodding at her in gratitude for her indirect teamwork. Whether she had liked it or not, she had helped with his trap, and the horror-teller exhaled slightly at the thought she would condone his destructive actions.
"You should stay out of my way." he said in a soft drawl, being a statement, not a request in his deep tone as he slowly turned his back on her and walked away.
It didn't matter what she thought of him, or not, they were at the two different opposites of the spectrum. She being restorative and tied to the earth in nature, where as he was destruction incarnate in his. While she had not intended to be as such with her attack, he did with every offensive move he made, and the crimson-clad man did not think any different as he turned and set his sights on his target so Aerith could force Kadaj to honor their duel. Just like Tseng had a weakness for her, Kadaj surviving the explosion would be at even more of a disadvantage if he had to face Aerith, and Vincent would make sure the small blond girl would not interrupt them again.
By showing just how cold and professional he was, he could spare Aerith any desire to be near him in case he indirectly got her hurt during his assault... she looked looked so much like Lucrecia, he could hardly bear to face her once more.
That could be his only way he could protect her, as he had absolute faith in her own inner strength. She had died to save their planet with the power of her will in Holy, after all, and her spirit healed them all with the rains that had washed away Geostigma.
They would not let those miracles go to waste.
He raised Cerberus at the adolescent, being true at his earlier words to Kadaj as he guarded Aerith's back, his next plan of this familiar area he had dispatched Deepground snipers in years earlier coming into fruition. "I don't approve of invaders attacking our world, or my friends." he curtly said to the young woman as he started strafing her, and pulled on the trigger of Cerberus as it roared and fired. Three tri-shots of bullet clusters sped out towards the girl to test her capabilities, one fired at her leg, one at her weapon to dis-arm her, and one at her shoulder. He had fought Shelke before, being a female had nothing to do with how well they fared in a battle... the only difference being that these were not the same stunning blank bullets he had used to fire at the Transparent Tsviet.
Perhaps not destruction incarnate yet, not built up as such anyway... but as Vincent looked out of his peripheral vision for an opportunity to co-ordinate with Aerith once Kadaj emerged out of the explosion, he focused seriously on the second rebellious youth in front of him.
He would not hold back. The explosion, was just the beginning.

Emil blinked as a slight gasp escaped her lips. It appeared that the girl was able to block her attack. What a bother. Getting this quickly done easily seemed a lot harder then she thought.
Emil turned her body around, following after the pink clothed woman before realizing what she just did. Watching the fire magic she had released seem to advance towards Kadaj. Her eyes widen as she knew she wouldn't be able to block that in time to protect Kadaj. "Master Kadaj, look out!" Emil quickly shouted, in hopes he would hear her warning and move or something from harm. Though that seem highly unlikely as the male in red seem to have caused gas leakage and with the help of that fire spell, an explosion happened. She felt her breath shorten, feeling her chest tighten up as she felt like she was losing someone all over again. Like that day at Port Royal.
Anger boiled within her, feeling the sudden change of emotion building up as she gazed upon the one in red. She held her ground as she gripped her sword tightly within her hand. Clearly she had no use in being able to attack the woman in pink, it seems her opponent has changed for now. It didn't matter, the results will be the same and determined no differently. A winner and a loser. Emil was not in any way planning to back down without a fight. Even if the view on her may be as a person attempting to take over this world, it's a different view for her. A view that only she could see within her own eyes and understand her own mind. Her eyes switched from that dull green color to that crimson red, changing due to her sudden anger.
Emil merely smiled weakly at the words of this man, knowing how much it meant to protect someone as she was no different. "It's the same for me. Be happy, I was holding back before in a sense of pity. I'm sorry." With that sense, her sudden expression changed as her eyes narrowed watching as the male fired at her and her heart began to beat faster. Feeling the sudden rush within her body kick in as she recklessly sprinted toward Vincent. Easily using her sword to block two of the bullets, but her shoulder became struck with one still. A grunt was heard from her, her mind complaining why her shoulders were always the target in battles before baring with the pain as she went on running. She had enough with pain, enough with injures and crying about it. It was time for her to hold it all in and just give it her best.
"Ha!" With a sudden shout, she stabbed her sword into the ground while continuing on running. Doing a quickly halt as she picked her sword off the ground, causing a row of ice spikes to appear suddenly out of the ground and toward the red caped man.
[OOC: Ahaha... At least I posted. Not much to work with. ; ]
