Could a metallic arm sweat? Barret wondered this question as he made his descent. He had just met with Master Yen Sid. His question: Do you know where my daughter, Marlene, is? I haven't seen her since the emergence of the heartless. He left, however, in disappointment, as the sorcerer told him he did not know where she was, but to seek her somewhere close to his heart.
The only place close to his heart was on the Planet, and Barret had searched every inch of the planet. Home is where the heart is. That saying entered his head at the thought of Yen Sid's teaching. His heart was with Marlene, so now what?
Barret also cared for his friends, specifically Cloud and Tifa. Those two helped him reform AVALANCHE so many years ago. The result was a long war with both the Shinra and the legendary warrior, Sephiroth. Does that mean that Marlene is with Tifa?[/i] Barret hoped so, as he finished his thought. If Marlene was with Tifa, that meant that he was in better hands than he could provide, especially since one of his was prosthetic.
As he exited the tower, the bright beaming sun cast a powerful glare off his right arm. He wiped his forhead with the same hand, and almost burned himself. He had to remind himself that his hand was made of steel, and would be a similar temperature to the air outside.
He sat down on the top step of the tower to begin to plan his next move. He wondered if it would be a better idea to fight the heartless, or if he should return to his daughter. If his daughter actually was with Tifa then she was safe, but Barret wasn't sure she was. He cared for all the members of AVALANCHE. That's when it hit him. His heart had always belonged to one woman, Myrna. That meant that Marlene could also be hiding in Corel. Barret believed the former was the likely choice, if his daughter had her choice.
Without really knowing what he was doing, Barret had transformed his arm. It now held the shape of a single, long barrel. He had begun to fire his weapon, however he had no ammunition inserted. His arm just clicked loudly with each shot.
Barret now felt another person growing near. Would this person be friend or foe? Barret had no clue as he reverted his arm back to its normal function. If this was the heartless he was facing, then he would be prepared for a fight. Otherwise, he would be ready to greet the person with open arms, unless their intentions deserved otherwise.
If this turned into an all out battle, then the small field in front of the tower would serve as the warrior or warriors final resting place. Barret made Marlene a promise that he would return to see her, and Barret never backed down on a promise. I promise daddy will be home soon. But there ain't no where to go 'cept where these tracks lead.[LT:System of a Down - Lonely Day]

The corruption and leveling of Agrabah had gone successfully for the Evil Lord, despite interference from a former ally of Chaos turned traitor. Jecht had failed his attempt to stop the powerful warlock, and Exdeath had continued on to the next world he set his sights on. Twilight Town had sadly fallen in the sights of the armored powerhouse, as well as the moon world that revolved around it, known to most as the Mysterious Tower. The Town itself was in the process of contention between Dark forces attempting to turn the rock, and had overlooked a minor entry point into the sunset paradise by train. There were many rumors that surrounded this location, of a sorcerer with great power and his mythic sanctum.
The power of this wizard is what he sought, as well as another world under his command, and Exdeath had made his way through the stars here to obtain both. Upon a beaten, dirt path before the steps to the interior of the Tower appeared a teal circle that hummed and glowed brightly. The gun-armed man would have no trouble seeing such a thing, as it was clearly noticeable to anyone with working eyes or ears. From this circle came a bright sudden shower of light before the great, armored form of Exdeath appeared within the boundaries of the circle, which as if on cue to his arrival, dispersed into nothing.
There was not as much resistance, as expected for a nearly isolated area. It would turn out to be a bit of a bore, as there seemed to be only one man with a tin hand present. The number of the opposition never mattered to Exdeath, for he would sweep them all aside as if they were never there. He stood poised, observing the features of the area before him as his hand remained firmly placed upon his sword like a cane. The light that danced in a glare off of Barret's arm, also played with Exdeath's armored features as well. His many beads, tassels and cloth barely moved, as there was hardly any wind within the vicinity that the two found themselves. The many trees, grass patches and bushes were things that simply reminded him of the Great Forest of Moore, a reminder of a prison where he was bound. Such things would prove to be a benefit for his opponent, providing whoever this was with a soft place to land should they choose to dodge or roll. He would not let this be easy for anyone but himself.
With a clench of his left, white clawed fist, a wall of Firaga burst to life behind Exdeath as he stood there silently watching the darkly pigmented individual. The fire raged, and sought to consume all flammable objects within it's path. After a moment of silence, Exdeath pointed Enuo's Scourge towards Mr. Wallace with his right hand. "Your efforts to stop my press onward are futile human." began Exdeath, his voice booming in echo and his aura's power growing. "Even now the odds are stacked against you. For Death is our spectator, and your waiting guide into the afterlife. Soon you shall be one with The Void." On the last syllable, five golden orbs erupted out of his left palm in Barret's direction. They soared above their designated target and would soon explode into a brief, minor electrical storm each in the form of Exdeath's Thundaga.
A loud, and evil laugh escaped Exdeath as he watched for Barret's retaliation, and his cue to act accordingly.

Barret had noticed the man in the giant iron suit walking towards him, but did not say anything. He just figured it was some Halloweentown nut trying to get some help from the sorcerer. It was only when he felt the intense heat of fire that he looked up. He looked up into a insane wall of fire that surrounded a makeshift battlefield.
Instantly, Barret's hand went from citizen to soldier as the three turrets protruded from the middle barrel. However, before he could act several spheres of electricity surrounded him in midair. He only had time to do one thing, roll. He rolled forward and used his hands to spring him to his feet. During the whole time he began to charge a ball of neon blue energy in his right hand. Before he could fire it the sphere's exploded with a powerful blast of electricity, and, even though it didn't directly hit him, the shockwave still knocked him off balance.
Barret blasted Exdeath at a near-point blank range with the Mind Blow technique. He figured Exdeath would probably be experiencing a severe lack of magical power right now, as almost all of his fighters did. Especially the ones who were more physically adept, like he was. Barret, on the other hand, was feeling a burst of magical power come into himself.
Before the iron warrior had a chance to hit Barret at close range, Barret jumped backwards nearly ten feet. He immediately opened fire on the giant steel figure, and began to run for cover. As soon as he made it behind a bush, he activated his Barrier Materia.
The MBarrier spell was a powerful shield against magical attacks, and that would serve as a great shield against any magical attacks. A blue-green aura stretched tight to is body and the only noticible feature was a tint of the same color visible shining from his skin.
It was now time for a suitible counter attack. Barret had succesfully given himself a slight upper hand in the magic front, but now he had to focus on the physical aspect of battle. Due to the warrior's thick armor, he was most likely close to unharmed physically. Barret now knew it was time to change that. He loaded a grenade into the center barrel of his gun.
"Marlene, this is for you! I don't know why you attacked me, but its to late to 'pologize. Here we go baby! Grenade Bomb"
First the enemy would hear the defening crack protruding from his center barrel, and only before it was too late would he see the grenade flying his way at over 150 miles per hour. He knew that this would be a similar situation to the lightning blast that started the battle. A split second to decide, and even less time to act. The only way Barret himself was able to escape his blast was the adreniline that quickly entered his system. Did this enemy have the exact same reflexes, or was he slightly slower?
The next second would tell Barret everything he needed to know about how this huge warrior fought. Was the magic just a chance at a pre-emptive strike, or did he have a higher knowledge of the magical arts than Barret took him for? Did the Mind Blow do as much damage as he wanted it to? He knew it had drained a lot of magical energy from the man, simply because it was now flowing through his body. Finally, how strong was this man's defense to withstand a Grenade Bomb? The next second would give way to Barret's battle strategy to finalize. [LT:Final Fantasy VII - Fight On]

His moment to move came quicker than expected as the man with the metallic arm, now a gun, rolled forward to dodge the Thundaga. As he did so, Exdeath jumped backwards into a slight hover over the ground as he outstretched his arms, all while the warlock's sword levitated in front of it's master. The Mind Blow collided against the golden shield of Omni Block as it increased in size around the armored combatant, negating Barret's technique as well as the barrage of gunfire that soon followed. Through the semi transparent golden defense that now began to dissipate, Exdeath eyed his target as it ran for cover and let out another deep, evil laugh.
"Pitiful worm" he boomed as the Omni Block came to an end. With a barely noticeable twitch of his right hand, Exdeath's sword sailed forward at the bush Barret now attempted to hide behind, and attempted to slash at him several times. "Your endeavor is futile. Victory does not exist for you here." While the sword made it's sweep on the hero from The Planet, Exdeath formed another Reverse Polarity underneath his own feet and quickly relocated himself. The bright light came again as a bright aqua ring appeared behind Barret in the air, well enough out of point blank range. Soon Exdeath appeared within it's vicinity, and fired a Dispel down upon the one armed gunman. If the spell was fortunate enough to hit the Light warrior, then his MBarrier would be negated.
The warlock did not stop there however, for as soon as the Dispel left his left hand, he followed it up with Meteor from his right. The sky contorted behind the warlock in mid-air as a quadruple barrage of meteorites came hurling from what appeared as outer space. Down on the ground, Enuo's Scourge made another sweeping pass at Barret as the many meteorites sped through the air toward their collision. The bladed weapon was then called back to it's master with an effortless wave of his left hand, sailing upward through the air as it weaved in between many meteorites.
His grasp became firmly wrapped around the hilt of the weapon in synchronization with the many, timely collisions of the Meteor spell as it collided with the earth below. This all happened in several short moments after Exdeath's tactical relocation to the air behind Wallace, and was followed by another evil laugh. "Mwa-hahahaha!" boomed the warlock as he continued to hover effortlessly above the opposition. This was already shaping up to be quite an annoyance to the Lord of the Void, however from the way he had been speaking so far to the man with cornrows, it was highly unlikely Barret would be able to tell.
He would not be stopped here by someone so insignificant to himself, no. Exdeath would not be turned around, but rather continue his relentless drive to corrupt and destroy all in his path. What warrior could hope to stop this inhuman tyrant that possessed more power and force than a freight train? Soon this Tower would be nothing more than rubble, and the power of the sorcerer within it's confines would belong to Exdeath.

The power of both Mindblow and Grenade Bomb had failed. Barret had to wait a little while before he could refire. Meanwhile, the warrior known as Exdeath began to slash at Barret. He managed to dodge the first two, and block the remaining slashes with his arm. However, when he went to retalliate, The ironclad warrior was no longer there.
This left Barret confused momentarily, that is until he saw the slight glow behind him. It seems Exdeath was preparing a magic spell. He didn't like the close proximity, but somehow he managed to dodge it by actually running in close and ducking his head. The spell hit the bush he was hiding behind, and the vegitation began to immediately wither and die. He'd seen this happen before, and guessed that was a Dispel attack.
Another spell immediately followed, only this one was very familiar to Barret. A flashback immediately came to mind of the end of AVALANCHE's war with Sephiroth. A giant meteor almost destroyed The Planet, and Barret would not see that happen here. Luckily this spell was nowhere near as strong as the Black Materia.
Barret dodged the first two comets, but then he noticed Exdeath's blade swinging itself. Barret had a choice to make. Would he dodge the comet's, which would hurt more if it weren't for his MBarrier, or would he dodge the wide slow swings of the steel sword.
Barret decided to dodge the sword. The swings came slow and Barret blocked one and dodged two more of the swings. He was lucky enough to have one of the balls of fire miss, but the others had hit. It definitely stung, but Barret had felt much worse.
The final swing came, and Barret had to act. The sting of the Meteor spell had slowed his judgement momentarily, and he could not dodge the blade. So he decided to counter-act it. He raised his arm and grabbed ahold of the blade and thrusted it deep into the ground. He then began a mad dash towards Exdeath, and prepared his next attack. A small whirlwind of energy gathered around Barret's arm and he threw one powerful punch directly towards the creature's head. He threw all of his weight into the right cross, so he couldn't see if it had hit or not. He just threw his powerful Hammerblow at the enemy, and it was known for sending people flying.
Whether the blow made contact or he simply jumped backwards to dodge the haymaker, Exdeath was now several feet away from Barret. Barret began to charge a special Materia while he walked forward. This materia gave off an eerie red glow as Barret fired off a round of shells to hold his time.
When the time came, the ground itself began to glow. Slowly, it crumbled beneath the green creature that emerged. This was Barret's favorite summon, Ifrit. The creature's giant claws were the first thing to emerge as the massive lion-goat hybrid emerged from the pits of Hell itself. The giant red mane of hair hid most of Ifrit's face, but the one thing that stood out was the evil smile of the burning demon.
Ifrit decided to start things off very fast. He immediately threw a fireball as he made a mad dash into the enemy. He threw what must have been two dozen swings towards the giant metallic swordsman. The creature's mischievious nature tookover, and instead of simply jumping backwards, he kicked off Exdeath hard, and with a couple flips landed in front of Barret.
All the meanwhile, Barret decided not to make things too easy on Exdeath, and he was firing off rounds left and right at the iron giant. As soon as Ifrit kicked off the metallic behemoth he quickly charged and fired his first original technique, Big Shot. The neon orange ball of fire was aimed directly at Exdeath's abdomen.
Barret was beginning to feel like he was a step ahead of the powerful villain. Yeah! Take that, huh! You were 'spectin' me to be smart too were ya?! I'm just too hot to handle! It's last stop on this train for you, big guy! I'm Barret and this is my gun-arm!" With that Barret let off one final round of bullet's just before Ifrit landed in front of him.

[I'd ask that you refrain from speed reading my posts from now on Dyne, as you seem to have overlooked that the sword returned to Exdeath after its attacks were complete. I'll post that he still has his sword, but you should pay closer attention next time.] The evil warlock glided forward and pushed his blade forward in a defensive guard, which collided with the Hammerblow as a bright seal formed around Exdeath's weapon in front of him. The impact from the blow was mighty, however only managed to push the warlock back a few feet within the air as he retained his flight. It was not as far back as the attacker had predicted, which was quite unfortunate for the warrior representing the Light. The gunfire unleashed upon the Entropic Adversary was met with a timely Aeroga sent forth from the warlock's outstretched left hand, which met the projectiles with a violent flurry that cut the bullets apart. A low chuckle emitted from the helm of the evil entity as the remains of Barret's strike fell to the grass harmlessly before him.
However the ground soon began to quake as the human's summon was called forth, a sign of desperation within the views of the aqua armored powerhouse. Once it began to charge, and Barret took his aim upon the warlock, Exdeath held his hands out before him as Enuo's Scourge began to revolve around him. The brightly colored glyphs of Delta Attack came to life around his white claws just as the man open fired on his position. The summon's attacks, as well as the many bullets fired from it's master, were blocked upon contact with the glyph. Unfortunately for Ifrit, the beast was blasted at point blank range from the powerful blast of magic that erupted from the glyph's center. The damage received would be severe, regardless if it had managed to land beside it's materia's possessor or not.
As the glyphs subsided faded from view, a hot ball of fire collided with the armored shoulder of Exdeath. He yelled at the sudden explosion of heat as smoke seethed off of the metallic plating, causing the warlock to clench his white claws tightly. Exdeath watched in annoyance as the man taunted him, then unleashed another hail of gunfire, which he refused to take notice of. There were many pings and sparks as the bullets danced off of his armor, leaving minor scrapes and scars on the fine metal. After the attack subsided, Exdeath glanced briefly to his shoulder which was now blackened and then to his sword as it came around his right side before reaching out suddenly and snatching it from the air. Exdeath performed a quick twirl with the sword before bringing it down to his side, then returned his glance to the man on the ground below him.
His distraction had proved to be useful, as the flames from the Firaga spell unleashed earlier had already spread to the foot of the tower. The many bushes, grass and trees that had been around its base were now burning testaments to the evil lord's arrival. "Imbecile," he began as he observed the metallic arm giving off a warm glow from the light of the fire. "You are powerless before the might of The Void. Soon your hopes will shatter like this Tower, and rest within it's ruins as your tomb." Exdeath then raised his hand high above his two pronged helmet and outstretched his white claws. "Prepare for the afterlife!" he boomed before holding out his palm to Barret's location.
Several orbs, if one has to be specific: five, of dark energy burst forth from the white palm of the warlock. They flew towards Barret's direction and began to circle around his location some feet above the gunman. Some seconds passed as they continued their rotation, then without warning converged on the human's exact spot. Exdeath remained up in the air watching to see whether or not the Grand Cross had removed his bothersome opponent.

Barret could not decide which came first, the heat of the rising flames, or the powerful attack. Either way, he was now surrounded by several powerful orbs, and he racked his brain to find a way to dodge the oncoming attack. This was obviously Exdeath's ultimate attack, or at least one of his strongest if it wasn't. Ifrit was too far away to do anything, so it was all on the man with the gun-arm. There was only one thing he could try, but he barely had time. The first two orbs hit, hard, and almost cost Barret his concentration. He quickly raised his Reflect barrier and sent the last three orbs flying.
Barret fell to one knee to quickly catch his breath as Ifrit prepared the final attack of his summon. A whirlwind of fire surrounded the great beast as his eyes kept on a deathlock to the Entropic Adversary. That was when he kicked off towards the metallic warlock. The flames burned everything around the product of Barret's summoning at least five feet in every direction. It was at that point when he dive tackled the enormous titan. As the flames cleared all that was left was falling ash and Exdeath. Ifrit's Hellfire was hopefully a clear success.
During Ifrit's attack, Barret had managed to lift himself back to both feet. He retrieved his handset out of his pocket, and dialed four numbers. This was not meant to be a phone call, but it was directions. Deep in the space surrounding Gaia a satellite kicked on. It immediately began to lock Barret's coordinates to find his enemy.
The Hellfire had just finished and Barret needed a quick follow up. He knew that he couldn't give a moment's rest to Exdeath. He immediately lanched a second Grenade Bomb at the iron wizard. Another huge explosion would be waiting if that hit.
However, Barret didn't think that was enough damage for him to breathe easy. He uploaded a special ammunition and began to fire. This ammunition fired somehow faster than normal. This attack was called Ungarmax and the bullets were quite as strong as Barret's normal ammunition, but the faster fire rate and armor piercing rounds should ensure of a powerful connection.
Barret now thought that the three attack combo should provide him with some time to think about the fires roaring near the tower. Somehow, he wasn't as worried about those, at least not with Master Yen Sid. Master Yen Sid's magic could easily rival the adversary's, and he believed that he would have no problem putting the fires to rest.
Back in the depths of space, the satellite had finally found Exdeath's location. The countdown would soon begin for one of Barret's most devastating techniques. It would be the most powerful if it weren't for that attack. Yes, that attack would be one Barret is saving for a chance to save himself from a pitfall. That attack has devastating power, possibly even more powerful that the Grand Cross he experienced pain from. Barret felt the power of the attack deep inside him. It had been years since he could succesfully pull off that attack. Could today be the day when he'd be forced to cause a catastrophe?

The powerful Grand Cross was somewhat successful as the evil lord watched on from above, awaiting whatever counter measures his opposition would proceed to make to avoid their own destruction. All of these pawns were the same, no matter what abilities or appearances separated them. They would all seek to stand in the way of the rightful ruler of all dimensions, seek to preserve this false salvation of theirs that was everything. Who were they to lay claim to the greatest mistake of all, and deny creation's inevitable purpose of returning to the nothing that spawned it? No being had the right to forestall the ultimate destiny, and any that thought otherwise would find themselves returned to The Void.
This Barret Wallace that fought on against him was no exception, foolish throwing everything he had against the warlock in blind hopes that his meaningless existence would continue for just another day. Exdeath charged at the summon when it began moving for him in it's Hellfire attack, and collided dead on with the beast as the flames engulfed them both in a giant fireball. The sounds of the flames roaring, from both the fireball and around the tower would surely give any normal being the impression that they were in hell, however it had been apparent that intimidation was not a siding factor to the warlock's efforts from the start of this battle.
The burning sphere was soon fired upon by Barret's Grenade Bomb and an Ungarmax that added to the explosion's radius and temperature. It was several moments before the sphere began to dissipate, and as it did, Exdeath slowly lowered himself to the ground with there being no sight of Ifrit. The impact of his sudden drop created a small, muddy crater beneath his armored knee as it took all of his weight. While Exdeath remained hunched over, the warlock's sword timely pierced the ground near his right claw with a mere 'snikt'. A deep chuckle then came from the great hulk of armor as it began to slow rise to a standing position once more. Taking grasp upon his sword once more, Exdeath rose to his full height and began walking towards the man with the gun arm laughing.
He held out his left hand towards Barret and tightly clenched it. A loud hummed rose from the ground near the human's feet; the temperature began to quickly rise, and was soon followed by a powerful explosion in the form of a Level 3 Flare. Whether Barret managed to dodge the unexpected technique remained to be unseen. Immediately after he heard the hum of his spell, Exdeath then pointed his hand at the Tower itself and unleashed another Grand Cross. Five black spheres created a shower of stone and debris as they slammed into the side of the building, which left a smoking gap in place of the impact. Cracks soon began to fracture around the great wound of the Tower, and soon with several more spells it would give in to collapsing.
Exdeath then charged at Barret in a full speed glide just above the grass, eclipsing himself within a giant sphere of black and cyan energy. Exdeath gave out a loud roar as he came within several feet of his opponent, then detonated the incomprehensible power of Almagest. The colors spread outward as the power was released as quickly as gunfire, resulting in a cataclysmic explosion as the sphere combusted in all directions. The warlock then came at Wallace with three slashes from his sword, and followed up with his Blizzaga spell; a brief hurricane of violent, chilled winds and razor sharp ice. Exdeath's battle skirt and cape flapped violently at the sudden increase of wind speed, while their master let out another triumphant laugh.
He floated high above the opposition as the spell continued until it's end, accompanied by his sword which continued to revolve around him in a fashion greatly resemblant of a moon. The warlock pointed his white claws down at Barret's position and unleashed a devastating Holy spell on the same position he had performed his ice technique. Bright spheres encircled a ray of holy energy as it fired down upon the earth, then slammed down upon the ground to inflict damage upon their target. Exdeath lowered his arms and crossed them as he examined the remains of his assault as he remained airborne above the field of battle. He remained curious to see if the pitiful worm had survived his actions, only for reassurance that he could now continue what he had come here to do. Barret cheered in relief as Ifrit managed to nail Exdeath head on. He'd been expecting him to somehow dodge, but when the Hellfire hit head on and added the power of Grenade Bomb and Ungarmax, Barret knew what was going on. Exdeath meant for all of those attacks to hit. Did he have some kind of death wish? As the smoke finally cleared, he watched in amazement as the still smoking body of the ironclad warlock made a comet-like impact on the ground ahead of him.
Barret had stared numerous Weapons in the eye. He'd taken down the headless mother of Sephiroth. He'd even had a part in the two victories over the One Winged Angel himself. Not to mention, Barret had survived a malicious war with the ShinRa empire. He thought to himself Not bad at all.. as he remembered the millions of soldiers sent to fight a simple crew of nine, later eight. Barret still found himself standing strong at the sight of the warrior named Exdeath.
It was now the steel wizard's turn to attack in the battle for Twilight Town's moon. The ground buzzed and burst into flames around Barret. This magic attack left Barret suprised, however. Barret had his Reflect shield still operating, and he thought Exdeath knew this. He simply stood there as the flames bounced off his shield in a variety of different directions.
The spell ended just in time for Barret to notice a large chunk missing from the tower. He would have to figure a way out to save the tower, but for some reason he still wasn't worried about Yen Sid's keep. He was more worried about himself as a large black and cyan bomb approached his position. He didn't think this power could qualify as magic, so when the orb exploded he met it with a Mind Blow of his own to drain the magic from the blast, and save himself from most the damage. He was unable to stop it all as the sheer force of the explosion sent him into a nearby tree.
Barret kicked the burning pillar that was once a beautiful green maple over. Quickly, Barret braced himself for the next attack. He was suprised to see Exdeath resort to using his sword, as the blade had yet to achieve a succesfull slash at the man with the gun arm. He managed to block all three slashes with his makeshift shield, and he welcomed the Blizzaga with open arms. Luckily, his shield had kept long enough for the ice storm to swirl around him. He managed to aim the spell relfection at the tower, which helped with most of the flames that had reached the building itself.
The trouble finally came, when Barret was forced to dodge a Holy spell. His shield had finally faded, and that left Barret with one choice. Run and jump around like a kid on a playground. He took off in a dead sprint as the first two holy orbs smashed behind him. The next two were better aimed, and that forced Barret to take a leap of faith over a small ledge. He fell hard and rolled past another orb of the spell. Finally, just as he set up, he saw the final section of Holy smash just between his legs.
Deep in space, the satellite had finished its preparation. It was now time for science to prove itself against the armored assassin. One by one, the rings of the satellite glowed a bright blue and, when all five were lit, it fired an immense beam of pure energy.
Barret finally had an opportunity. The warrior had gotten arrogant, and began a mad laugh thinking Barret was a goner. He decided it was time for the gun arm to do the talking.
The beam had made it to the first relay point. The satellite waiting would sent the energy straight towards Barret's gummy ship, where the final relay point was located.
"You think you're bad? You ain't seen nothin'. I took on that headless ***** and survived, I think I can stand up to you! If you think my limit was a few little parlor tricks, you're damn mistaken. I'll show you my limit foo!"
Barret jumped high in the sky, higher even then Exdeath himself. Pure energy began to gather itself around the turrets of Barret's arm. The energy was so strong, that the turrets had to slow themselves down to keep from overheating. The energy had formed a giant sphere of golden plasma around his arm. This was Barret's golden ticket to the train home.
The energy had made it to the final relay point, Barret's vessel. Quickly, it was redirected towards the Mysterious Tower. It would only be a few more seconds before the attack made landfall.
He quickly dove to within inches of Exdeath's skull and began to fire plasma rounds one after another. Each shot sounded like a cannon firing an a ballroom, as the echo bounced off even the flames of war itself. "This is my Catastrophe!" He fired a total of ten powerful blasts at Exdeath before he flipped backwards on the ground. The entity had no time to react however, as the neon blue blast rained down from above at that exact second. Satellite Beam made a bright veil over the battlefield, and all the could be seen was light.
All that could be felt was the immense burst of wind that came from the attack. Barret noticed the flames around him being blown off course. It looked like the tower was a lot safer now that Barret had finally finished the beam. He knew he shouldn't celebrate yet, however. He quickly loaded another round of special shells and fired a second Ungarmax right where Exdeath had last been seen.
He now used the bright light as a cover and powered up a previously unused materia at his side. This materia housed the great healing spell, Curaga. Great green bells appeared above Barret and send a magic strong enough to heal Barret's wounds. Slowly, he saw his bruises and burns seal themself shut. All that was left was to wait and see how his attack had faired.
