Disney Castle, overtaken by the dark. Who would have dreamt of such a horrid thing? It's towers purpled in a haze of thick cloudcover and it's courtyards dark and frightening- it was as though the world had become something entirely different. A chilled wind danced among the fallen leaves of undernourished trees and shrubs, causing a hissing noise to echo around the castle's outer walls.
A thick mist descended from the cloudy sky and thickened into a lithe figure, who touched the hard-packed earth with little sound. Silvery eyes danced across the menacing landscape, only to pause as the shadowed towers came into view.
"Something seems to be amiss here. This is not a dark world." Fay Eldridge, better known as Loomy, would indeed know such things. The shrouded woman pulled an old, ratty book from the depths of her cloak, opening it to search for any spell that could dispel such darkness from the world. Not that she would find any such thing, as she had yet to translate much of the language in the old book. In the midst of her searching, she sensed the appearance of another being, and glanced up sharply. She wasn't there to pick a fight- at least, not unless one was picked with her.

A large bulky man in all black looked all around the tiny room he appeared to be in. It was a air ship port. His name is Loz. The bulky man glided up the stair way and out into a large garden. The darkness was calling him to this world, so he could aid it. "Will you be here too, brothers?" Loz had said softly. His green Mako eyes scanned the area gracefully only to see lots of grace and flowers.
"Disgusting little things." Loz had said kicking a small flower which was near him. Now the Remnant knew he was not summoned here just to relax. So where could the enemy be at this moment? He could tell the light was growing a little stronger. Meaning he knew someone else was here beside himself. "A game of hide and go seek?" Loz said with a slight grin on his face. "This should be fun." After saying that the Remnant let out a roar of a laugh.
Up ahead he noticed some large bushes, which looked like a platform he could sit down on. With that thought in mind he leisurely strolled over to this bush and just observed it. So why wasn't he was searching for the being of light? You could just say that Loz was waiting for one of his brothers to show up before he makes a move. After all the Remnant knows he has a lot more strength than in intellect. So it would be best just to wait things out.

With a gleam of light upon the dark invested world, Mickey made his way upon the world he once called his rightful home. For a while now he had traveled in conquest of helping the Light upon the Cornerstone become strong enough to break free from the clutches of the Horsemen. Encountering old enemies and new ones his attempts became victorious as the Cornerstone called out to him. His home was fighting to return to the Light and he would answer their call with the swords and battles of others. He hoped that many warriors of the Light would come in his battle to take back his home but at this time all he could do was hope.
Opening his eyes within the Gummi Hanger, he gasped upon seeing the site of it. The room was shrouded in a Dark Depth. Everything that was once comical or happy was now swarmed in dark filth and clouded in dust and debris. Mickey couldn't believe that he let this happen. He was present during the fight but he was too late. Clinching his fist he recalled the day that everything turned for him. The battle between the two Horsemen, Sora and Terra beside him following them, and then the fatal sight of seeing the darkness swim out from the Hall of the Cornerstone and engulf his throne room. If Terra wasn't present then he would probably be a prisoner of this new creation of Darkness. But now was his second chance to take back all that he had failed to protect.
With a flash of light, the Kingdom Key D was firmly within his grip. A look of determination was placed upon his face. A level of King Mickey was standing within this room. He felt stronger in heart and there was more to fight for then ever. Running up the stairs he prepared to enter the battle of his life. Coming upon the garden there was a shock in his face. The Garden of the Castle had actually survived the change of scenery. The sky was cloudy with no light coming from behind them, a mist covered the outside area, but throughout it all the garden still had it's flowers. It brought a smile to mouse as saw how his world was fighting the darkness even in it's darkest moment.
Looking around, his eyes first caught notice of Loz sitting upon the bushes. Mickey tightened his grip and prepared himself. He had never encountered a fight with Loz but had come across Kadaj during a battle at Destiny Islands, a battle he was forced to leave. That wouldn't happen this time. Kadaj was a strong opponent but he was stronger now. He was unsure of how much different Lox strength was but he'd take him down either way.
"This world belongs to the Light!" Mickey yelled to catch Loz's attention. "It's time the Darkness left...for good!"

Valerius lazily lifted a fist to cover his mouth as a yawn inadvertently escaped, rolling his amber eyes at the same time. He was perched rather comfortably on the throne in the fabled Throne Room at Disney Castle - well, rather lounged unglamorously in the seat, his legs spread out before him and with his free hand drumming his fingers quickly against the arm of the chair. Nothing had been happening recently - not since the Heartless has lost at their attempt to take the World that Never Was from Organization XIII. Mostly, it had just been a lot of talking, and only a bit of fighting - but the end result had proven that the Heartless Horseman were not as unbeatable as the group believed.
That was both unacceptable - and freeing at the same time.
Valerius liked nothing more than a fight - whether it be a full on war, or a man-versus-man battle, anything to get his blood flowing and his sword swinging. And his only desire in life? Well, besides the power that he revelled in so much alongside the other Horseman at the moment, he wanted to find an opponent that could finally destroy him - someone who was powerful enough to take the breath out of his body once and for all. A worthy opponent, in the romantic sense of the word. As of yet, no one had been able to even come close to besting the Heartless' skills, however, and he was beginning to doubt that anyone existed. However, their loss at the World that Never Was proved that worthy opponents still existed, and although none of them had succeeded in actually killing him...it showed that perhaps worthy opponents did still exist. Somewhere.
Maybe one day one would come to him and end this monotony. What a relief.
Until then, though, Valerius was guarding the Heartless' base at the once illustrious Light Disney Castle. Ferser was around the premises somewhere, but Valerius did not care much. He was more preoccupied in his thoughts with the absence of Maurelle, who was off doing other business. It was rare that Valerius would ever be without his female companion, and somehow not having her even on the same world as himself was tugging at the back of his mind, and at the pit of his stomach more than he knew that it should. Ignoring the feeling was proving to be impossible, so all he could wish for was some sort of worthy diversion.
Wish granted.
Valerius' attention perked as a few lesser Heartless came into the dark-enshrined Throne Room with news - there were intruders outside the Castle, and one of them was suspiciously familiar. The ginger's eyes widened for a moment in excitement as a grin spread across his features and he sprang from the seat. "Finally, a touch of fun," he said to himself, letting a low laugh escape from his throat as he made his way outside towards the courtyard gardens. As he entered it, his amber eyes fell on three separate figures - from one emanated the scent of Darkness, which was acceptable. The other two, however, a cloaked woman with a book, and...
Ah, so he had returned - the 'King' Mickey Mouse, the one who supposedly rightfully owned this Castle...or rather, had owned it before the Heartless had moved in and made it their own. It was only a matter of time before he returned, and Valerius' lips pulled into a tight grin in anticipation - what a welcome diversion this was proving to be. And his words - so noble, and yet such an empty threat in the Heartless' eyes. The 'king' of the Light had been bested once....and now it was time to finish the job it seemed. He had come back for seconds, after all, and Valerius was never one to disappoint.
"Oh, but we like it here you see," Valerius then stated, a cool edge on his voice as he approached the mouse. "We like it...a lot, really. So I think I'm going to have to argue with you on that threat." He slowly drew his sword then, running his fingertips along the sharp edge in anticipation for the coming battle. Mara had always been more of the one to talk than he was - he had always preferred talking with nothing other than his blade, but in her absence...well, he was forced into a slightly diplomatic position. However, his desire for a fight was one he was still not going to hide.

The fights had been taking a slow start. Both sides had begun to make their move in this assault. What of the Nobodies? Had they chosen to be in this attack too or had they chosen to sit out, just as they usually do? Their choice, this time around, would help either the Light completely overtake the Dark or vice versa. On the orders of his Superior, the Lancer makes his way into the castle, to assist the Light.
A corridor of Darkness opened in the courtyard, where the battle on the outside was taking place. Xaldin stepped forward, with 2 of his lances in hand. He looked at those that arrived in this battle. All but one were familiar to Xaldin. The King himself had made his way to the castle, along with one of the Remnants, and a Heartless Horseman. The fourth person had been a new one that he'd never seen.
The Lancer walked near the central hedge, out in the open. He looked at the King once more. He brought up a question to the King, to see if he knew the answer and what would have to be done. He asked his question with some sarcasm in it.
"Oh Great King, have you thought of what to do with those on the inside of this castle? These forces out here pale in comparison to those that are on the inside. The darkness on this world is much stronger than what you could have encountered anywhere else..."
The Lancer paused, as he brought his gaze to Valerius. This Horseman managed to get away from him during the Heartless's assault on the World that Never Was. He seemed to have been agile and keen to the ear, but then again, that battle hadn't lasted long enough to fully see the abilities of this Heartless. It was rumored that the Heartless had abilities much like Zexion's own abilities, but that was all Xaldin knew about this Heartless.
"I shall be lending you aid in this battle, King. I expect you to be able to defeat one of these two before they try anything. I suggest fighting whoever you know how to fight most," Xaldin stated, as he brought his gaze to Loz. The remnant was mostly a hand to hand fighter, so the Lancer would have an advantage against that one. However, eliminating the Horseman first would make this battle easier to win and allow everyone to save their energy, in case if the inside forces decide to assault the outside.

However, Minnie knew that she could only save him after she accomplished her task. Minnie stood solemnly before the large, oaken door that lead to the audience chamber. Under this chamber lies the heart of the castle; it is called the Cornerstone of Light. The darkness had spread their filth over the cornerstone; Minnie had to get it back. Without it, light can not come back to the castle. The castle will forever remain a past relic of the light. Queen Minnie placed her hands on the door. The door felt cold and hollow. It no longer contained the happy feeling the whole castle once had. She gave the door a great push, but the door remained still. Minnie tried again, but like before she failed again. Something was amiss. Did the heartless place a seal over the doors to prevent wielders of light to enter? Minnie assumed that this was what had happened. Minnie sighed. The little mouse could no longer recognize her own home, and this thought only saddened her. Then Minnie lifted her right hand, pointing her index finger at the door. So be it. If I can't enter, then no one shall enter. "Light!" Minnie exclaimed. A pink glow began to project from the ring resting on Minnie's right hand. Soon, the pink aura engulfed the door, and now nobody will be able to enter the Audience Chamber without the queen's permission. Minnie turned her back towards the sealed door. She stared at her enemies in the courtyard. Minnie walked gracefully towards the battlefield. One by one she will take them down, and two by two she will regain her crown.[/ul]

Battle... War... Chaos... Death.
Such glorious things! And it was now time to fight off the Light from the darkest place within the Kingdom Heart's universe. The home of the Cornerstone of Light, now the Cornerstone of Darkness was a powerful tool granting the power of Darkness to those who knew how to control such a terribly dark power. The ultimate power. It didn't matter how many warriors of the Light came to attack this world, and even if the Light somehow managed to defy all odds and won over the Darkness this day, the Cornerstone had become stained, tainted with Darkness. Even if the Cornerstone returned to that of the Light, Darkness would always remain within, which in time would slowly start to devour the Castle once more. The Light was finished. The Light was doomed to fall on this day and there was one, very confident user of the Darkness who was sure to make this battle the hardest, most challenging battle the heroes of the Light would EVER fight in.
A Portal of Darkness suddenly ripped open beside the bear-like Remnant sitting upon the hedges within the courtyard. A figure emerged from the portal which swiftly vanished into nothingness, leaving behind a silver-haired swordsman standing tall beside his look-a-like brother, Loz. Shoulder length silver hair, powerful glowing turquoise eyes and a sinister smirk across his lips, Kadaj, the Leader of the Remnant's and younger brother to Loz and Yazoo had arrived at Disney Castle to join forces with the other users of Darkness to battle against the Light. His smirk still plastered across his lips, the silver-haired Remnant first turned his eyes downwards towards his seated brother. Knowing that the bear-like human was eager to get this battle started but was willing to sit and wait for the arrival of Kadaj himself merely made the Remnant Leader smirk with delight. Even after being reunited face to face with JENOVA herself, Loz was still just as loyal and devoted to aid his brothers as he always had been.
Glancing upwards from Loz, Kadaj locked his eyes onto the Human Heartless. There was a rumour going around that the Heartless Horsemen were going to aid the Darkness in this battle, and low and behold, here one of them was. The silver-haired Remnant hadn't met this particular specimen before however, yet he had crossed paths with both Maurelle and Ferser. Each of these seemed interesting enough and were also both powerful and intelligent in their own way. However, this ginger-haired Heartless... the one confronting King Mickey, seemed much more the Remnant Leader's type. He appeared just as eager as Loz did to start fighting. Perhaps there could be something gained here, joining forces with this particular Heartless? Well, being here now was hopefully going to show his dedication to aiding the Darkness, but who was going to get to deliver the fatal blow to the Mouse King? The Heartless, or the Remnant? Then again... Kadaj glanced away from the Heartless and noticed a tall figure dressed in a very familiar black cloak.
~Organization XIII? They have sided with the Light? .... Amateurs... the lot of them!~ Kadaj thought to himself as his smirk instantly turned to a dark scowl. Twisting his body off towards the Org. Member, the leaves of the hedge underfoot twisted and snapped from the motion. Jumping forwards, the Remnant leaped down from upon the hedge, landing with a soft thud. Peering over his shoulder, Kadaj turned himself around to face Loz as he placed a hand upon his knee. "Lets change the rules a little today brother... leave the Organization XIII Member to me, but in return... you can KILL whoever you please." Kadaj said with a smirk, patting his brother's knee a couple times before the Remnant suddenly span back around, the sound of his Souba being drawn from it's scabbard echoing around the courtyard as he decided to take it into his own hands to officially get this battle started!
Still with a wide smirk spread across his lips, Kadaj sprinted directly towards Xaldin and Mickey, the twin blades of his Souba glowing a pale blue colour the closer to ran towards them both. After a couple of seconds, the Remnant slashed his blade before him and quickly unleashed a powerful blade of energy from his sword in the form of his deadly Draw Slash attack. The pale blue energy blade was lethal enough to slice pretty much ANYTHING clean in half, Mouses and Nobodies alike. The moment the Draw Slash was launched in a fast horizontal arc, Kadaj jumped up into the air and unleashed a powerful overhead blow downwards towards both Mickey and Xaldin, in anticipation that one of them would jump up over the Draw Slash, straight into the Remnant's overhead attack.

Why as Barret fighting? He asked himself this several times on the journey towards the world, Disney Castle. Barret was on a mission and he'd be damned if he'd let anything in his way. He knew why he was fighting, so he could live in the Light with Marlene without worrying about the Dark.
Loud footsteps could be heard from the Gummi Hangar as Barret exited his Gummi. The man with the gun-arm was on his way to the battlefield, even if he was a little late. He had heard about a group of Lght making a huge movement on Castle Disney, only a little too late. He quietly prepared himself to madness as he walked the stairs of the hangar.
The battle mus' be crazy up 'ere.
Barret thought that both sides were already deep into the warzone. He only hoped he wasn't too late to fight. He knew he had to fight in this war, and his place was obviously with the Light. He silently opened a compartment in his arm where he stored his canisters of ammunition. He switched his normal rounds out for a special canister with a giant 'X' engraved in the side. He knew he'd probably need the special shells immediately.
He was half right about the battle situation outside. He was right to note that it had already started, barely, but it wasn't quite as mad as he feared. The first move had just been made by a certain Remnant of Sephiroth he was very familiar with. He walked out of the hangar to see a large blue Draw Slash fly just past his face. He immediately turned towards the source to see Kadaj jump in the air. Obviously, he was going for a downward slash aimed at a small mouse and a cloaked warrior, neither of whom he'd ever seen before.
"Watch it!"
Barret immediately converted his hand into the large gun he was accustomed to. He fired off his canister of special shells at the attacking assailant with his patented Ungarmax. The attack was known for its high speed flurry of bullets, and he figured it was the only attack that could reach Kadaj in time.
"Ya'll must not 'ave heard I was commin'! Cuz' I know ya'll numbskulls wouldn't start without me!"
The moment he fired the shells, was the exact same moment he saw the only other familiar face in the area, Loz. He knew the guy for being a straight-forward brawler. He'd be the perfect target for Barret's next attack. Barret quickly dropped the used canister of bullets and placed a normal canister inside. He fired off a half dozen shells at the Brawler as he jumped on top of the hedge statue that would serve as a door for the Gummi Hangar. This would serve as a distraction for the real attack.
He charged a ball of bright orange energy in his central cannon for a brief moment before he fired it at the second Remnant. The orange ball was an intense concentration of his physical energy into a weapon. If it hit, it would prove to definitely cause some damage. His Big Shot was one of his favorite techniques.
He then turned to the final source of darkness in the area, and he'd be damned if this wasn't the main source of darkness in the area. He quietly decided that this person must be the leader of the defense party. He decided this person deserved a stronger technique to start the battle, and Barret knew exactly how he should go about it.
Without hesitation, he loaded a small black sphere into the central cannon and launched it at the villain. This was, in fact, a grenade. He usually used this technique to thin the masses, but a warrior this with this strong of a vibe definitely deserved the best. This sphere would cause a small explosion no matter what it hit, so he made sure to aim it in such a way that none of the light or in-between fighters he noticed would have been caught in the blast.

As various characters began to arrive at the scene of the battle for Disney Castle, the atmosphere thickened with tension. In an almost lethargic way, the Elvin woman glanced up from her spell book and glowered, unseen, at those who held darkness as a master over their hearts. They likely didn't know that childish power hungry actions of the dark only chipped away at their hearts slowly. However...
One man, in a leather coat that hid his features almost as well as her clothing did, seemed... For a moment, Loomy stood transfixed.
There was nothing arising from him- neither darkness, nor light. While this confused her to no end, she supposed he was on their side when he strode forward to stand to the side of the light-hearted mouse. Then, as sudden as a peal of thunder, the fighting began. While she was a short distance away, she could quite easily see one of the three dark beings cut through the air in front of him, causing a ribbon of blue to fan away from the tip of his weapon.
Loomy might not have known a single character on this battle field previously, but she was aware of the fact that this silver-haired man's taking of the first move meant that he was either powerful, or stupid. As the man leaped into the air to attack a second time, the last fighter arrived.
The burly, dark-skinned man wasted no time in trying to defend his allies and shot a volley of bullets at the swordsman.
Feeling that there was enough attention on that side of the battlefield, Loomy gazed at the closest of her foes. He wore a disturbingly sadistic grin (which was more of a grimace) as he ran a hand along his blade. He was one of the heartless who took this place? He didn't appear to be any more than a human at first glance.
She decided abruptly that she was done surveying and concluded that he would be her first target. She held the liberated witch's tome in one arm and traced a rune into the air with her free hand. With a flick of her wrist, she set an Ice3 spell into motion. She would probably regret the action later.

While sitting on the bush, he noticed a little talking rat coming over to him. Now why did they let rats in such a 'nice' castle like this. A few short moments after the rat said something about the darkness something instantly clicked in his mind. Loz simply remembered one of his brothers mentioning something about a talking rat before. Obviously, this must be the rat they were talking about right? Before he could say anything at all, Valerius dropped in along with Xaldin, the queen rat and Kadaj.
Shortly after everyone's little chat, Kadaj told him to stray away from the organization member. In return, he could kill anyone he wants. A small grin appeared on his face as Kadaj patted his knee a couple of times. "Oh this should be fun." The Remnant said in a playful tone. With easy he gently placed his hands on the bush and pushed up. Now standing Loz noticed Kadaj took no hesitation to make a powerful attack. The Draw slash had been made.
The Remnant slowly closed his eyes and then opened them. Anyone could tell there was a difference with his eyes. They were kind of glowing, which meant he activated his ability, 'Hyper Sonic' .With every movement, he will look like a blue blur. That last thing that anyone should do is doubt Loz. Before he could make his first attack Barret suddenly appeared shooting his gun like a barbarian. The Remnant made a mental note that Barret may not be very affable.
The Barbarian first shot off a few bullets for Loz followed up by orange energy blast. Loz simply stood there and let the attack come closer to him. At the last possible moment, he vanished into thin air. If anyone paid close attention to Loz, they would have noticed a blue blur moving over to a near by tree. "Well, your no fun." Which was directed to Barret. Carefully, Loz placed his right hand on the handle of his Velvet Knight mare.
Loz glided his gun out of his holster and pointed it at Barret. Step by step, he moved to-wards Barret, and his animosity was rising for this man. The Remnant knew he was going to have some fun annihilating this man with his brute power. With no warning, he fired off a single shot for Barret's neck, which he immediately put the gun back in its holster. A devious grin grew on the bear like mans face as he started to look like a blue blur. In a matter of seconds Loz was behind Barret. His left hand now clenching into a fist, he pulled his arm back and thrust-ed it forward to attempt a devastating punch to the barbarians back. (If there is anything wrong with my post just let me know. I'll edit it.)

Mickey gripped his keyblade tighter and grunted his teeth together upon the entrance of one of the Horsemen. This specific one he wasn't familiar with but just by his look and the feeling Mickey got from him proved that he was just as difficult to manage as the rest of them. The words he spoke were almost like a dagger to his heart. They had adjusted to this place as if it was there own. This was the rightful lighthouse to all that reached for the Light. Just hearing that this place was becoming the complete opposite put in a pain in him that was difficult to manage. But he would persevere through it all.
Before he could make another movement, he was relieved to see a member of the Organization come to his side. However, he couldn't come to show a smile. This moment was too serious at this time to show any signs of a weakness or opening. Keeping his eyes on the enemies, he listened to Xaldin's words.
"I have the feeling that it's being handled," Mickey said softly. "I can feel a strong light inside. But for now...we have to take care of this first." Listening in to Xaldin's other remark he looked at the two enemies in front of him. He hadn't faced either one in battle. Whether it was their style or simply what they did. He didn't have a care of what they could do aside from what weapons he could visibly see. However, it wasn't long before that answer would change as a ripple opened up revealing the third enemy to the battlefield. Mickey gasped in shock upon seeing who it was. Exactly who he feared to see at this point and the man walked calmly into the field. The confidence he had was obvious for even him to see. This didn't help Mickey's nerves at all. He was going consistently between paranoia and relaxed.
At the sound of his voice, Mickey held up the Kingdom Key in front of him without hesitation. Seeing Kadaj start the movement of battle, he froze himself into position. With his advancement towards the field, the King shifted his weight back to fully take on the force of his attack only to see that his dash was only a false strike. Seeing the Draw Slash coming before him he was stuck in position and could only think to jump up to get out of the situation. As if being read like a book, he looked up to see Kadaj already in attack to strike him. Mickey swung his keyblade up to stop the attack just as he heard the sound of shots being heard. He wasn't sure if the bullets had actually taken it's toll on Kadaj but he still had his keyblade guarding him from the assault.
Coming down to the ground, he turned to land comfortable on his feet and used the energy to push himself back. In a swift movement, he jumped back up across the field, as if he was defying gravity, and landed on top of the gummi entrance. Seeing Valerius as the only one to not enter battle yet, Mickey sprung into action. Pointing his keyblade towards the Heartless a ball of Light gathered around the tip of the keyblade. In seconds the Light took the form of a ball. Flashing his arms away then pointing towards the Heartless the Pearl went flying towards it's victim. Mickey then became to run towards the Heartless to encounter him in battle. His focus was diverted away from anyone except his enemies. This would be a battle that he would win!

[OOC :: AH sorry guys, blame Otakon! I'm back, I promise]
Valerius watched with a grin that he did not care to even try to hide as the battle began to erupt around him. Another silver-haired man that reeked darkness had joined the first, only this second one was more on the offence, and his hair was longer to keep the two distinguishable - not that Valerius cared much about the affairs of other humanoids. A man with a gun for an arm had also shown up, and had sprayed the field with an onslaught of bullets that the Heartless casually avoided. Long-ranged attacks would have to be much more focused before they would ever do any harm to him.
For a few moments, the Heartless continued to let himself be content to watch as those in the courtyard began to pair themselves off into versus situations, but the call of battle was not one that he could ignore for very long. His amber eyes scanned the field, looking for just who he wanted to take on first - preferably someone that was not already fighting someone else, because Valerius had never liked to share his prey much. When he defeated someone, he wanted to be the soul victor. However, just as he was preparing to launch himself into the fray, a lesser Heartless appeared, giving a quick explanation that there was an intruder inside the castle that had done something to the door to the cornerstone.
"You just had to go and make it personal, didn't you?" Valerius snarled at no one in particular, a feeling akin to anger coursing through his veins that he had not noticed that internal presence before it had been able to take such an annoying action. "I don't like other people in my house..looks like everyone will have to pay the price." Momentarily losing control, Valerius cut through the lesser Heartless with his katana, spending tendrils of darkness flying around the area as his shoulders rose and fell in angered, deep breaths. Such insolence - but then, at least it promised to keep things interesting. He glanced to the spot where the messenger had stood just moments before, feeling not even the slightest trace of guilt for his actions. Sometimes sacrifices had to be made.
Amber eyes snapped back to the battle as Valerius' attention was drawn to the 'king' mouse once more as the creature shot off a spell of some kind towards him - it seemed that his opponent had saved him the trouble and chosen him. Valerius sneered - how much damage could that little thing actually do to him? Even though the mouse wielded a keyblade, his greatest enemy, the Heartless still held nothing short of confidence that he would be able to defeat the creature and avoid the sting of that deadly weapon. As the circle of light hurtled towards him, Valerius made no attempt to move. Rather, he spread his arms wide, closing his eyes as he allowed the magic attack to hit him squarely in the chest, a smirk spread across his features.
The attack sent Valerius stumbling back a few feet, but he quickly recovered with a hand to the ground, his eyes focused once more on the mouse, the smirk unmoved from his features. He could feel the pain of the light attack spreading through his body, but it only made him feel more awake, and more aware of the situation. "Keep 'em coming, I liked it!" he then yelled at his opponent, before he began his quick transformation into his battle form - white spread from his chest to all of his extremities, turning his skin, clothes, and even his vibrantly ginger hair all white, leaving only his bright amber, heartless eyes glowing. The half mask that he was becoming known for then spread to cover half of his face, the red lines on the side also standing out against his skin, and leaving that side of his face in the appearance of having a constant, wide grin. "Let's have some fun," he then muttered, before springing off of his feet with unnatural speed.
The Heartless was at the mouse's side within a matter of seconds, giving several quick, successive slashes with his katana, his movements almost nothing more than a white blur. He considered using his deceptive abilities, but decided to wait and see what turn this battle took before he changed from nothing but hand-to-hand combat - after all, this is what made him feel that false feeling that he was truly alive, that feeling that gave him a drunk sensation that he revelled in so deeply and sought after so strongly. After his flurry of quick attacks, Valerius ran his fingers along the blade of his weapon quickly, transforming the single katana into two shorter swords that were connected by a long chain. He then attempted to position the two swords behind the head of his shorter opponent in an attempt to pull them back towards himself and cut through the mouse's neck - it would be a disappointingly short end to the battle, but he had no doubts that the mouse would somehow dodge it.
He just wanted to show that he was serious.

The Lancer turned his head in the direction of the opening ripple of darkness, from which another Remnant of the One Winged Angel stepped out from. This one, of the three, would prove to be among the most dangerous. However, the information that was given to him before the Heartless attacked the World that Never Was still pointed towards the red headed Heartless. Xaldin took up a defensive stance for Kadaj's draw slash technique directed at him and the King. The King took evasion into course and jumped over the attack.
"The mouse chose to evade this attack... Perhaps it'd be best to do the same," Xaldin thought in his mind. He quickly focused wind around his body so that he could quickly move out of the way of the attack. The Lancer jumped up vertically and watched the blue energy soar quickly through the air and into the castle wall.
Xaldin averted his gaze back in front of him, to find the King flying through the air towards the Heartless foe, along with the Remnant jumping towards him with an overhead strike. Xaldin brought his two lances up and shouted, "You fool! What do think you're doing, trying to attack me in the air?!"
The Lancer focused the air around him into a type of barrier, to blow Kadaj back so that an opening to could made to strike the Remnant down quickly. The Remnant jumped straight into the territory of the Whirlwind Lancer and now he would pay for it with his life! This battle would be quick, if everyone played their cards right. The Lancer would be sure that his 'allies' won this battle today for the sake of furthering the Organization's own goals. Everyone was a pawn to them and they will eventually run out of their use, even the Kings and Queens themselves.
