She'd never get used to the darkness.
The inky waves crashed onto the shore as lightning flashed on the horizon, the rumbling thunder echoing faintly as the storm approached quickly. Aqua stood on the dock, the wind wildly tossing her blue hair about her face as she looked out over the ocean with a fierce gaze. No matter how many dark covered wastelands she had endured, no matter how many creatures of darkness she had fought, she was completely unprepared and shocked to see the islands suddenly turn into a state like this. Once, Destiny Island was the stuff of legends to her, and so long ago she had finally visited it to see that it did live up to the stories it created. It really was full of Light- and no one was about to ruin that.
The young keybearer had been taught that her duty was to protect the balance of the worlds. Aqua did her best to uphold that mission, but right now she wasn't just protecting the balance... This fight was personal. She was going to fight to protect the world where the new generation of heroes hailed from, and more importantly, for the unbreakable connection this world seemed to represent for not just herself.
Aqua wrinkled her nose as a few drops of rain began to fall on her face, and she looked up at the sky. The storm had moved quickly and was now above the island, a torrential downpour threatening to fall at any given moment. The clouds were so dark that even though it should have been around mid-day, the world looked like it was just having a thunderstorm at night. Aqua shuddered a bit, and knew that if a moon were showing, someone, somewhere, was surely mocking her.
It was then that the sparse raindrops stopped and a steady downpour began.
Aqua gasped, her skin beginning to crawl, and it was not because of the cold rain. She knew that a being (multiple beings? There had to be) of darkness was close by, and she broke her hard stare at the ocean to look for whoever was causing the destruction of the islands. Aqua summoned her keyblade in a bright flash of light, and held it out to her side in her usual battle stance. "Who's there?!" She managed to call out over the rain, thunder, and crashing waves. Even if they didn't hear her, the message imposed by her glare and keyblade was enough: get out.

A corridor of darkness ripped itself open near the beach on the main side of the island, where the children of this world had once played. From it, a man dressed in nothing but black stepped out. The winds quickly picked up his coat, causing it to push into his body for he had his against the wind. He had his hands in the pockets of his coat. His hair blew in front of him, practically covering his face and eye sight. However, he was able to see much of what was around him. The storm had brought with it dark, heavy clouds of rain. Lightning bolted through the dark giants above him, their thunder sending enormous vibrations through the air and into the man's ears.
He looked towards a small island near by, then to an enormous tree with a small tree house built on it. He looked behind the still open corridor of darkness, turning his body as he did so. His cloak picked up in the winds, the bottom lifting upwards, as if trying to fly off into the stormy ocean. His hazel eyes examined a much larger tree house behind a dock. At the dock, stood a girl dressed in odd clothing with blue hair. The Light radiated off this girl, much like the Light radiated from the boy he fought at the jungle world not that long ago. He snickered a little, while taking his hands out of his pockets. The coat lifted upward much more, revealing the man's attire under the coat.
A black long-sleeved shirt, a pair of black jeans that are slightly longer than his legs, so the extra could reach his heels that are held up by a black belt with a silver, dragon-like belt buckle, black boots with iron bolted on the outside of the toe area, and a long double-edge sword strapped to the left side of the man's waist. He placed one of his hands on the black handle of his sword and drew the sword slowly. The blade singed while the weapon was being drawn, as if craving the next victim to fall to it.
"It seems that the Light has become greedy... So shameful of them," Yukimura stated, bring the sword out entirely and having the blade rest on his shoulder. A smile crept over the swordsman's face in a twisted manner. He wanted to see who would come to defend this world, aside from this girl. He could feel them... The others that were coming here from the Light... and the Darkness!

As torrential heavy rain began to pour down from the blackened, lightning-stricken clouds, a man emerged out of the shadows in timing to the call made by the wielders of light and darkness present. Cold raindrops trickled down his raven-black hair as the red-eyed man emerged from the place within the island he had told Marlene to hide, having come here to retrieve her when she had gone missing within the darkness. A tattered crimson cape blew out behind him as gale-force winds whipped at the coastline from the incoming storm, also tussling his coal black hair, revealing the black-strapped bodysuit and golden armor he wore underneath. The islands were now being coated in a light coat of condensation from the downpour, bending the green leaves of the foliage at their weight and turning the golden color of the sand into a depressing brownish-grey that stuck to his boots. But he moved as silently as the breeze, which was unheard compared to the deafening sound of thunder overhead, but it was not something which caused Vincent to flinch or even look up.
He had operated in rain before; a time or two during his journey with Cloud, out in his travels during the Geostigma crisis, and again in Edge during the assault from Deepground. Like it had begun when Sephiroth had been called back to their world time and time again, the arrival of a dark storm seemed to be the herald of the arrival of dark forces... and if they were anything as deadly as Sephiroth could be, it was a horrific and terrible darkness. But, why here? Why this small world, dotted with tropical islands like this one, where all was calm and tranquil in it's natural state? Did it have something to do with the fact this world was the home world of the keyblade master, Sora, and his friends? It belonged to them and their loved ones, and it was through him working with Cloud that Vincent had first come to recognize this place as something special, but he hadn't actually realized how peaceful and heavenly this place seemed until he had come here.
He would have liked it if she had been here with him... but, that had just been a dream, and now that time had passed. He had to focus on the present.
Sora had helped them so much... he had defeated Ansem and driven his dark presence out of Hollow Bastion on more than one occasion... depending on which half it had been at the time. But he had also helped the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee out when they needed it, which he was loosely affiliated with since AVALANCHE made up most of the committee, and completely revived it as the city of Light which was now Radiant Garden. The keyblade master had saved their world and kept back the dark forces looking to either demolish the world or their citizens, so it was time that they returned the favor with his home world, when the young boy needed it the most while he was busy fighting to protect the Light in other worlds. He may have not been present during those events, but hearing them through the Restoration Committee about the young man's exploits was never a hard thing to miss, and as long as he was now caught in the middle of things he may as well be involved in what was going down here with the dark stench he could sniff out. Especially to make this world safe for the children - not only those that lived here, but ones that crossed through here like Marlene had - so she need never fear the darkness that this world had had wrought upon it by those who thrived on greed and power.
His eyes flashing with the reflection of a lightning strike out upon the ocean of dark waves which were now crashing on the shore more violently than they once were, Vincent's eyes caught sight of two figures standing out in their silhouettes against the brightness of the bolt, which he could sense before he had even stepped foot out of the shadows. The first was not only very hard to miss because of the bright glow of her brilliant keyblade she summoned, but the significance of the shape of the weapon, which Vincent immediately recognized. The young woman with blue hair looked about the age of the women from the Restoration Committee, but there was not an air of darkness about her, which immediately relieved the gunman. The last thing Sora and the Restoration Committee needed to deal with was another dark keyblader hindering their progress, and this young lady had a Light about her that not only was as brilliant as the gleam of her keyblade she summoned in the darkness, but Vincent had a sense she was immensely powerful as well. He shifted his stance as he came to a stop some distance away from her at the beginning of the dock on the beach, content she was not about to attack him, even if he did look like - and was, in a sense - a wielder of the darkness.
He turned to look at who was their adversary, a man in dark clothing wielding a dark sword and a dragon insignia on his belt. This man he couldn't tell much of from his senses, apart from the fact he was strong as well, and the darkness he was steeped in he wasn't trying to suppress in his heart like Vincent did with his alter-ego, Chaos. No, this man was not afraid of showing his power at all... and that told him all he needed that the man was partially, or maybe fully responsible for bringing the dark storm to the islands, and in turn must be accompanied by some dark presences one way or the other to bring about such a chaotic shift in the weather. The man had drawn his blade, much like Aqua had drawn hers, which meant either he was about to attack or simple had his weapon out to prepare to defend himself as she did. And most likely because of the darkness he had brought, he was not here to talk or negotiate, or else he would have said something to them by now that he was as such.
Vincent was secretly hoping that. He was done negotiating with villains who brought about terror and malice to their worlds.
Suddenly he spoke aloud to the girl so she could hear him, but since he had traveled so quietly with using the sounds of the raging storm above as a buffer, it almost appeared as if he simply appeared out of the darkness after another streak of lightning as he stood alongside her staring down at the villain. "This island... it is hard to believe that the keyblade master was once here, when it was at rest, but... this was his world." he spoke, slowly and calmly, so as not to startle the keyblader if she had not noticed him until now, talking in a admiring and grateful tone. Light reflected off the raindrops on his pale skin, but a slight curl to his drained bluish-purple lips brought about a soft and confident smile. "The boy could not be here, but he is out there, still protecting the Light. I don't know what his reason is to keep fighting... but, not all of us need a reason to." he added, inadvertently giving his gratitude to Sora, the reason why he felt obligated to protect his world. Quicker than the eyes could follow, he had pulled out his intimidating handgun, the tri-barreled pistol known as Cerberus, and pointed it at the man in black clothing. "I may never be accepted by the Light, or give myself completely over to Darkness, but when evil is when people start bringing chaos to the world. Looks like we have some work to do, wielder of the key."
He reloaded the gun with a sharp, gut-wrenching click, as if the gun was the mythical hound Cerberus itself, growling to defend it's master from a maniacal menace. Vincent did not batter an eyelash as the storm crashed and thundered above them, rain pouring down his face and clothes, not wanting to come between the two melee wielders if they were about to duel but not about to let the blue-haired keywielder face the man alone even if she wanted to.
But his senses told him that with more dark presences in the area, they would not be alone for long.... he just hoped Marlene would stay safe.

“Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” That seemed to be a fitting theme for Jenova’s mood. Not for any special reason, but today she was extremely irritable. Maybe it was the world she happened to be gracing. The Calamity found herself standing high in a structure that clung tightly to a large tree. The tree happened to have sprung from the ground of a small island. The island obviously wasn’t large enough to house any civilization, but had obviously been used for family outings and, possibly, vacations.
A storm was beginning to brew in the tropical paradise, and Jenova definitely approved of the pillowing black clouds that rolled their way into the scene. It wasn’t because Heaven’s Dark Harbringer approved of foul weather conditions, but it was mostly the fact that the storm was a definite metaphor for the events that would most likely be occurring in the world’s near future. A battle was brewing, and Jenova watched, silently, as the first combatant entered the silent arena.
The woman had hair nearly as blue as the water she was standing near, but that wasn’t necessarily what caught her attention. She was holding an odd weapon that Jenova immediately decided had to be a keyblade. She’d only heard small bits and pieces of the powerful keys, but every tale pegged the holders for near-invincible. Obviously, the scholars who preached these legends had never heard of Mother and all that she could accomplish. She was the being responsible for the genocide of the Ancients, the complete and total destruction of the entire race. One small warrior would clearly be no match for the might of the blue skinned fiend.
The other warrior definitely had a heart of darkness, something Mother felt relieving given the sight of the third combatant. Jenova was definitely familiar with the scarlet cape that made its way towards the keyblader’s side of the beach. Vincent was part of the group responsible for the failure of her plans in the past. He, personally, had also been responsible for saving that damned ‘black sheep’ at the City of Ancients. If he hadn’t interfered then Jenova would have fulfilled her destiny and the Second Reunion would not have been hindered at the hands of Cloud. Why did he not accept his destiny to fall at the hands of Jenova? Why did everyone question the might that the harbringer possessed? Jenova had found the first victim that was to fall at these islands.
Slowly, she descended into a Corridor of Darkness that opened beneath her feet. She planned to surround the two worthless peons of the Light. That way, the odds of their victory increased dramatically, as if they needed the edge with Mother on the scene. Jenova knew she could easily defeat both Vincent and the keyblader by herself, but add in the mysterious villain with them, and AVALANCHE’s resident monster gunman would not see the storm subside at the end of the day.
Silently, the Calamity emerged behind both the keyblader and the former Turk. Rather than dictate some long speech, she would devastate her future victims and leave them wounded on the get-go. Jenova brought a foul toxin up her respiratory system and began to exhale powerfully. The result was a green cloud of foul odors, that, when inhaled, would immediately begin to shut down the organs of whoever was unfortunate enough to be caught in the vile cloud. She watched as her all-powerful Gas.

Ahh vacation time down at the islands nothing was quite like it. The sun was bright and glistening the beach with light, providing warmth for anyone bathing in it. A nice cool breeze was blowing, gently touching one's face and putting them at ease. The Papou fruit was growing like crazy, the waves were splashing and everything seemed so serene... or rather that's what Felix had imagined Destiny Islands would be like. Shortly after having arrived, a storm had started to brew and Felix had decided to take shelter up above.
“Man this is lame, I thought there was going to be more ladies here,” he mumbled softly as he leaned back against the railing of the deck that was built up near the top of the tree. He sighed watching the leaves on the tree blow wildly with the wind, a rather irritating sound accompanied by what was only a drizzle at the moment. He turned around, facing toward the shore and wondering why the weather had changed so suddenly. That foreboding stuff only happened in novels not in real life. Surely today would be peaceful, no physical exertion would be required today right?
'Who's that?' Felix thought as his eyes had fallen upon the girl with sapphire hair, 'because man I'd like to get to know her!' Felix had begun to step back, about to turn around and head down toward the shore to meet said girl until a portal of darkness had opened itself. Out of it came a figure in black, Felix not able to discern much from the distance aside from the far too big sword he was wielding.
'Why do so many guys have swords as big as cars? What's the freaking point?' Felix asked himself as he placed a palm to his forehead letting out a sigh. Not only had his vacation day been ruined by bad weather, but now a guy with a giant sword was making his presence known, attempting to duke it out with a woman seemingly half their size... well Felix certainly wouldn't stand for the mistreatment of a lady he had wanted to flirt with.
Felix made a dash toward the railing, figuring that jumping down would save a lot more time but stopped himself short as yet another figure appeared. A man in red made his arrival, his cape blowing in the wind. He wasn't sure whether or not he was good news but he wasn't attacking the blue-haired woman so that was good news right? Maybe he was just one of those creepy looking heroes with a dark and disturbing past. Perhaps he was a champion of the light but just had that whole anti-hero vibe to him.
'I really hope that's the case,' the freelancer thought as he unsheathed the blade strapped to his back. His hands gripped around the hilt tightly, a grin curving against his lips as the rain continued to pour down and the wind picked up. While he had wanted to enjoy the day off, Felix couldn't help but feel excited at what was happening here as yet another figure arrived on the scene behind Vincent and Aqua. His blood was pumping, not sure what was going on but not caring all the same. All he knew was that the good guys were fighting the bad guys and one of them had just dealt the first attack, a green gas that didn't seem friendly. Without a moment's hesitation, the red-haired man had jumped forward, a bolt of lightning masking any noise that he was making as he looked down upon the rather strange figure now that he got a better look. That didn't matter though and now that he was above whatever it was, his body would begun to descend far faster than possible relative to the height he was above the creature. At least it WOULDN'T be feasible if Felix wasn't using Mass Manipulator already. He had changed his blade's mass to 3000lbs, coming down on JENOVA like a shooting star. While he certainly wasn't as noticeable as one, surely the impact that would come directly on her head with his blade stretched out would feel like she had gotten hit by one. Not only that, but the likelihood of even expecting the blow was slim to none seeing as the weather was masking any sound being made and she was in the middle of an attack. Regardless, whether the sneak attack hit or not, as Felix' body would come within range of the gas left over, he'd hold his breath hoping that it only did damage through inhalation. He would release the blade's mass change and quickly jump back toward the direction the wind was coming to escape the quickly receding gas. It was unfortunate for whatever this being was that the wind was blowing away it's poisonous gas, but Felix would none the less stay attentive, keeping both JENOVA and Yukimura within his sight.
“Are you two alright?!” he would ask upon escaping the gas' range, wondering if the two had made it out of the gas unscathed... he certainly hoped so anyway.

Darkness swirled above as a Corridor ripped itself open. The Genesis Copy had been starting to get used to moving through the Darkness, even if he had no idea where it led him. The Corridors were usually rather empty, but it did appear that there were black fiends moving within them at times. The same manner of fiends he had fought only once before. Now he moved again, but he still had no knowledge of different worlds, seeing every world as another place and hoping to find Midgar from there. Having moved through a large part of Archipelago would have made most wonder if they were truly still in the same place, but the G Slayer had too little ideas on that subject.
The Corridor opened high above the bridge that led to the small island. The G Slayer stepped, or rather fell, out of it and went down. Before he would crash, it came to his notice that the place was familiar. Did he not... wake up here? Then the Copy crashed into the bridge and fell into the water. With the crash he would surely have alerted all of his arrival.
The Copy had fought here, not once, nor twice, but three whole times before having found his way to another place. The first time he was with Kadaj, against two Keybladers, Kairi and Mickey, along with Cecil. The Copy knew no names, but there were pieces of memories were he shot his large gunblade at all three of the Light once. The second time he had fought alongside Kefka and Emil. Both carried no S Cells unlike Kadaj. Their opponents were two Nobodies, Roxas and Axel, along with the Keyblader Sora. An attack had hit him that time straight through the treehouse and into the forest. It was a battle they lost. The final battle was with him in the secret cave within the forest after he had been beaten there. This time there were two Keybladers opposing him again, Sora and Terra. Along with them the Replica, Riku, and the Nobody, Naminé.
That battle he had fought alongside a strange woman, Silv. He still knew no names, only pieces of memories he did not care about. All he wanted was to get off this island as fast as possible and find his way to Midgar. To complete his mission. All these people were just in his way, he would destroy them and move further. Still, he had not come any closer.
The G Slayer came up from the water with his head and shoulders, but while standing straight, the rest remained underwater and the large gunblade felt even heavier than it ever felt. The Copy started to drag himself to the beach.

The heavy rain was pouring down with no end in sight, throwing down it's endless barrage as if an enemy artillery was firing shot after shot onto the beach. It was certainly doing this world no justice. Not helping the world reveal it's true colours, to welcome it's vistors and holiday makers with beautiful blue skies, bright sunny weather and a temperature that just screamed 'girls in bikinis!'. No. The world was once more under attack by the forces of Darkness and it appeared the attacks would never end upon this world of peace, this world of Light. The home of Keyblade Master, Sora. Was it merely that small fact that brought attack after attack here? Endless swarms of Heartless. Powerful Darkness deities. All wanting to claim this world for their own so they could use it as a weapon the brunette Keybarer and his friends? Seemed there were certainly some who thought that and so long as these guys continued to live, their attacks on this world would never come to an end in the foreseeable future.
~I have my work cut out for me as it is back in Radiant Garden...~ The figure of a lone swordsman appeared from over the horizon, walking along the beach towards where the forces of Darkness and Light could be felt. Clothes sodden from the falling rain, long brown hair thrown back over his shoulders with a few strands sticking to his face, the blue-eyed male continued to slowly pace himself across the beach, taking a second to glance down at his boots to see the sand starting to stick all over them. Casting his head back up as a bolt of lightning flashed throughout the sky, the SeeD started to hear the distant sound of battle. He was getting close now. Though the swordsman didn't pick up the pace. He just walked along at his own speed until the familiar scene of the infamous Destiny Island beach came into view.
Lifting up one of his gloves hands, Squall Leonhart brushed a hand baclwards through his hair to remove any stray strands that might have wanted to blow into his eyes in the passing, relatively strong winds. Coming to a stand still, Squall crossed his arms before his chest and frowned in disappointment. Seems like the party had started before he arrived. A man dressed in pure black was staring down a woman with blue hair who was accompanied by a figure in crimson and black hair. Facial expression unchanging, Squall's sharp blue eyes locked onto the figure of Vincent for a moment. ~Crimson cloak and black hair... Golden armour. Hm... That must be who Cid and Aerith keep mentioning...~ He thought to himself as he continued to stand his ground and watch from a distance as the battle begun to unfold further details. A strange female-like creature descended from the thickened skies above and quickly unleashed some sort of thick gas upon the blue-haired female and her crimson cloaked partner.
A moment after that and some red-haired kid came falling down from the skies as well. Squall however didn't follow the red-head down as while he were staring up towards the skies, a third figure was spotted falling out of a Dark Portal. So it was raining heroes and villains today, not the usual raindrops? This time, Squall watched the figure of G Slayer crash into the wooden bridge and smash into the water below. The tiniest of smirks appeared on his lips for a second as he raised one of his arms up from his chest and placed his palm against his forehead. Shaking his head from side to side, Squall let out a small sigh. "I bet that hurt..." As the gray-haired man emerged from the water once more, the Proud Loin noticed that the red-head had decided to play with the female who produced the gas-like cloud moments before. This was going to be one busy battlefield at this rate, one where every hero was going to need eyes in the back of their heads and watch their six's.
Starting to walk once more, Squall found himself leaping up a hill to find himself at a raised vantage point where the wooden bridge stretched across a small gap of sea to a small island with palm trees. Knowing the G Slayer was down in the sea nearby, Squall decided to pay him no heed for now and watch what was happening between Yukimura, Aqua, Vincent, JENOVA and Felix before deciding on what move to make himself. Reaching one arm out before him, the leader of Restoration Committee seemed to grasp at thin air before a flash of light escaped his palm to reveal his one most trusted companion; his Revolver Gunblade. Swinging the half-gun half-sword up to rest on his shoulder, the Proud Lion stood his ground and waited a better chance to attack after perhaps witnessing what the forces of Darkness were capable of. "You owe me big time, Sora..."

Ansem appeared out of the Darkness into the wind and rain that covered the island that belonged to the cursed keybladers of Light that had defeated him some time ago, With the air full of Darkness, the Heartless was quite content with the way the island was being ripped apart by the storm; however, he also sensed warriors of Light there to bar the way of the Darkness. Well...that would not do at all.
Ansem moved from the portal and took in the islands carefully. He easily spotted that a battle had begun near the docks. A man in crimson stood by a woman with blue hair weilding a.....keyblade?! Ansem narrowed his eyes at this. A keyblader had shown up to defend the islands after all, eh? Just how many of the vermin were around and how many worked for the Light? The Heartless began to wonder becoming annoyed. Deciding to leave the question of keybladers alone for the moment, the Heartless focused on the others around. The one in crimson and the keybearer were being attack by a blue woman of Darkness who unleashed some form of gas upon them. In the same area, a red head man who seemed to belong to no side at all came dropping out of the air, aiming to hit the woman. The scene was very strange, but Ansem did not pay much attention it as he focused on the the last three presences in the area.
One prescence was the familiar one of Yukimura and the other was the G-Slayer he had met in the Underworld. As he spotted Yukimura and then watched as the G-Slayer crashed first into the bridge and then the water, he shook his head a little at the creature. At times, he felt sorry for the creature, but after seeing it fight, he knew better than to underestimate it. In any case, Ansem's attention was drawn away from the G-Slayer as he sensed a Light prescence nearby. Ansem paused by a hill and looked up to see a young man with brown hair and a strange weapon standing there. He seemed to be completely focused on the battle at the dock. How foolish... to be so focused on the battle instead of what was underneath him.
With a smile, Ansem gathered the Darkness into him and then used it to summon his Guardian. Moving slightly back so that he could get a better view of the man on the hill, the Guardian charged up its power and then unleashed its Shock Slash attack upon the man. With any luck the blades would hit or at least cause the man to come back to the ground where Ansem would be waiting for him.

Aqua blinked as she saw something move in her peripheral vision. It was hard to see the portal that appeared- the dark, swirling entity hardly stood out against the bleak state of the beach, and the loud, almost liquidy sound it made was hard to hear over the storm. Regardless, Aqua did see her first opponent, an individual in black attire with a rather large and lethal looking sword. Her lips curled into a sort of snarl as he spoke- greedy?! How?! She didn't understand, although she knew from experience that those who allied themselves with darkness liked to spew nonsense to try and catch their opponents off guard. She opened her mouth to retort when another silently came up and stood beside her.
While the man looked threatening (and his sneaky entrance didn't help, either), with his metal gauntlet, torn cape and piercing red eyes, Aqua could sense that he was on her side, and offered him a faint smile. The grin faded as soon as it had came, though, nodding solemnly at the man's words. She knew who he was talking about. She also knew what it was like to return to a ruined home, and vowed to herself that Sora wouldn't have to do that.
A determined glint appeared in her eyes as she looked at Vincent, "Let's start with this one first?" She said with a wry grin and was about to launch into a command style to attack Yukimura when a chill ran down her spine and she suddenly felt a lot colder- an extremely dark, evil presence had joined the sword wielder.
She whirled around to face her newest challenger, and her blue hair would've swayed a little if it wasn't plastered to her face. Aqua supposed she couldn't be too surprised at the appearance of a new enemy- the aura of darkness that was trying to infest this world was too strong for the swordsman to be the one causing trouble. What she was surprise at was that her newest opponent was a creepy alien-esque woman. Aqua narrowed her eyes, briefly wondering if this woman was some sort of Heartless or Nobody.
The blue-haired keybearer wasn't given much time to ponder, however, because the woman exhaled a revolting looking cloud of green gas. Green gas that was rapidly advancing due to the wind. Aqua decided to do the one thing she could do to defend herself against this: hold her breath. In hindsight, this plan was not thought out very well, as she had not allowed herself to take a breath, and it wasn't long before the colorful lights signifying oxygen deprivation were popping and appearing before her eyes. Although the wind had blown the gas past her by the time she finally took a gulp of air, her lungs ached and she felt lightheaded and dizzy. She stumbled back a bit, close to falling off the dock. Aqua kept telling her brain to pull herself together but she just couldn't react fast enough and was sure JENOVA was going to attack again, and didn't see Vincent's state due to being so horribly dizzy. However, someone else had arrived on the scene, falling from the sky, bringing their sword down upon the dark alien lady. Again, Aqua had no clue as to who this person was, but was glad to see that more warriors had come to help defend the Light.
As she regained consciousness, the Keyblade Master noted three others had arrived while she regained oxygen. Another minion of the darkness had crashed his way in, a denizen of Light (she smiled as she realized this), and another being of darkness that gave her deja vu in more ways than one. Seeing as some of the others had already busied herself with attacking, Aqua figured it was finally time to enter the fray.
Locking her cerulean eyes onto Yukimura, Aqua just sent him a fierce glare as she glowed white, and with a burst of light she launched herself at him, swinging her keyblade as ice crystals spurted from the ground all around him, as she used her Diamond Dust command style.

Man oh man, did a party get started up quick! Yukimura took note of each individual that arrived on the stormy island. First, right after he himself arrived, a man dressed in a very gothic-like outfit with a metal, golden claw on one of his hands and a 3 chambered magnum of ridiculous proportions in the other arrived. He loaded his gun and prepared to fire at Yukimura with the gun, which then led up to the next person... At least, Yukimura thought it was a person, had arrived.
A woman... human female... thing, appeared behind the two people that had been sided with the Light. It let a disgusting green gas from its mouth, causing the girl to immediately hold her breath, almost passing out entirely from loss of breath...
"Is this really one of our opponents? That's just downright idiotic," Yukimura thought in his mind, as the blue haired girl with the strange sword-like weapon fell backwards. He brought his hand to his face and wiped it of the rain water in a manner directed as an insult to the girl's reaction. He then noticed another figure... Wait, 2 figures, fall out from the sky above them. One landed in the water, whilst carrying a massive sword of red in his hands. The other seemed to have been directing an attack at the odd thing that appeared behind the blue haired girl and the Gothic gunman. The weapon in his hands seemed to have slipped from the man's grip on his sword. The man's sword smashed into the doc like a ton of bricks smashed into the Doc.
Yukimura whistled and stabbed the sword in the moistened sand. He began to clap for the man's attempt at a sneak attack, as the man grabbed his sword again and hopped back, asking to see if the two people were alright. He stopped clapping when the blue hair girl began to activate some sort of spell. He grabbed his sword once more with his right hand and held the blade low to the ground.
As he did so, a familiar presence entered the world... One of which Yukimura had just met and quickly began to respect. Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness! A man that had been brimming with intelligence, despite being a Heartless individual. This caused Yukimura to smile, as he took note of another swordsman with weird gun sword appeared and was being sneaked up on by the Heartless.
"Come on, Missy! Lets see what you can do," Yukimura shouted, while charging towards the girl. A distinct decrease in the temperature caused Yukimura move over to the right side, while trying to keep his footing in the slippery terrain. A huge blast of ice came forth from the girl, causing Yukimura to dive onto the higher platform and out of the way. Not giving much care for what the attack would do if he weren't careful, he began to charge up his own magic at his feet.
His smile reappeared once more, though much wider this time. Electrical power zipped around his feet in an invisible electric flow that slightly distorted the air around him. Yukimura thought in his mind, "Since I have nine steps, currently, I should be able to fly towards her before she could get in another spell."
Yukimura brought himself to a slow stop, whilst keeping his gaze upon the girl. It would be between him and her this battle. It seemed to be a bit similar to a another battle Yukimura had in the past, though it was with someone else... though, it didn't matter currently to the swordsman.
He pushed off the ground with one of his feet, immediately causing his body to fly forward at tremendous speeds! He slid a little bit, while trying to straighten himself out so that he could push forward with another step so that his body would be propelled towards where he was aiming to strike with his sword... The blue haired girl's heart.
(Thunder Burst activated. 8 steps remaining/1 post remaining before cool down.)

It had been the longest journey, and the first major one he had taken in his life... which, sad to say, came after his almost permanent death. Being revived through experimentation by Lucrecia, and further experimented on to sustain his degradation in amusement before being locked away by Hojo, he had been transformed from his original human form along with being sealed away in a coffin, which he had convinced himself through nightmares that he deserved as punishment for his sins. Sins to stop the madness of the unborn child of the one he loved from being injected with JENOVA cells, only to be awakened by Cloud and his group to ask questions of what had happened in his resting place, refusing to join them until Hojo was mentioned. He had never heard of this 'Sephiroth' before... but learned all too quickly through his adventure as he battled the swordsman taken form by remnants of JENOVA herself, that the greatest swordsman to have lived became as such because he was Lucrecia's child. Since then, battle after battle of Remnants and Deepground, he had found the resolve to finish what he had started with a second chance and stop the madness that all originated from one foreign entity - JENOVA.
So when JENOVA suddenly appeared behind them from the darkness and attacked them herself... there were few things in his lifetime that surprised Vincent, and made his crimson eyes open a faction in sudden realization that she had re-assembled a sentience of her original form. This, was one of them.
With no time to waste as he turned to the young woman next to him, the ex-turk didn't need to call out for Aqua to warn her of the incoming enemy as an answer to her question, as Aqua held her breath. As he held his own - as vampiric as he was, he was not undead, and still needed to breathe for his immortality - he knew the gas cloud falling around them was not going to be navigated through quickly enough before their breath held out. He immediately launched from the spot and dove into Aqua, offering his cape over her head as he attempted to push her out of harm's way, so at least she had a air bubble to breathe with even if it had to be the trapped air of his musk-scented cloak. This was also the gentlemanly thing to do to stop the rain bucketing down on her, but now was not the time to be thinking of such things. As of now, he could not hold his own breath for longer than Aqua could, so once they reached the clean air offered by the gale-force winds of the storm coming in he pushed her out of it before swallowing the polluted air itself.
He coughed sightly, the poison afflicting through his lungs and into his system... but that did not matter much, as Hojo had made his body near-indestructible. As soon as the poison made enough damage... well, his body would soon take care of the toxin before it reached his heart. He breathed into the tall collar around his neck to try and filter the air and the potency of the venom seeping in... it was not the first time JENOVA had attempted to poison him, and it would not be the last. As the air cleared around him while he remained crouched down low to the ground as the pollution floated upwards and away like smoke, he rose slowly to his feet at the womanly menace above him, the one that caused so much malice to his and other's lives on his home world. "The dark harbinger, the calamity from the sky... JENOVA. Leave her to me." he declared in a low and deep tone of voice to not only the keybarer, but the newcomer that had arrived on the scene and attacked JENOVA with some sort of gravity attack.
He noticed, but could not look directly at in the moment, the other forces that had gathered. There was no ignoring the loud crash of the man he had glimpsed while whirling around, that looked like a copy of the man he had fought and met before with red hair and rapier, whom the imitation itself he had encountered in Twilight Town recently. What was he exactly, a 'clone', or a Remnant of the man that quoted LOVELESS? Whatever the degrading facsimile was, it had only attacked the group in Twilight Town that Kadaj and Loz had been part of, muttering loud and coherently about S-cells. S-cells were Sephiroth's cells, and it did not take much guesswork to realize that since the LOVELESS quoter had a black wing like Sephiroth, that the degrading facsimile needed similar cells of JENOVA's in order to function and work. So it wouldn't attack him, or anyone else here... unless it held a smarter intellect behind it's zombie-like facade.
Within the next second he noticed surreptitiously an ally that had come to assist them... brown hair, black leather, symbol of a lion and a gunblade... it could only be who his fellow friends from his home world kept mentioning. When their world of Gaia had come under raid from the first wave of Heartless, they had become separated, and some of AVALANCHE found themselves on Hollow Bastion with this man named 'Leon'. Hollow Bastion had also fallen under attack from the darkness, and soon that group had moved to Traverse Town, when they came into contact with the first Keyblade Master they knew of while Vincent traveled with Cloud to Olympus Coliseum. Vincent had been too busy moving around behind the scenes and split off from Cloud at the time, but he heard bits and pieces from the others to know enough that the man had helped out both his friends and Sora a lot, but the man himself to him was a complete mystery. He didn't care so much about that, as a man's business was his own which he didn't want to get involved with, but as long as his friends trusted him then so did he.
And then the final figure, which caught Vincent by surprise as to his presence as well... the man that had been behind the Heartless invasion of the worlds and had been defeated by the Keyblade Master himself. Or Heartless, as he was well known more-so to his true nature, as well as the known fact that he was the half of one man which had started the darkness invasion and the destruction of the worlds and the worlds between them. Xehanort's Heartless, but... Sora had defeated him. If he had returned, that meant that like Sephiroth had, there must have been some Lifestream-like force within the sea of stars the Seeker of Darkness had refused to be diluted into and returned like the Remnants had along with their brother soon afterward. If Sora and the rest of the Hollow Bastion Committee did not already know he had returned, if Vincent did not tip them off, then he knew the latter's leader would.
Speaking of which, the gunblade wielder was being attacked by the man in question, all of this registering within Valentine's mind as he remembered his own safety at risk as he kept focused on JENOVA looming above him. Leon could handle himself, as well as the young woman whom had gone to face the man in black they had been facing off with at the beginning, before this sudden wave of combatants blew in. Much like the winds the storm had done that was now thundering and pouring down above them, and the wielder of Cerberus raised his intimidation weapon, slicked hair dripping condensation down his back he ignored as he absorbed all this information. He had these new allies, but it looked like Xehanort's Heartless was not alone, and had joined forces with the young man with the dragon buckle. The crimson copy he was uncertain about, and had not attacked him in Twilight Town, so until he went against that unspoken gesture and attacked him or his allies he was not a threat in his eyes. The young man that attacked JENOVA, also with redish hair, might have had some devastating power with altering his weight but did not have the same experience battling JENOVA as Vincent had with her in the past.
For these reasons, the poison sapping away his health in his system and the growing force of the presence hidden deep within his body, the man had no choice when it came to what he had to do. His body started to glow with a brilliant red aura, as he mentally restrained the beast he held back from unleashing using his Protomateria, activating Chaos Augmentation throughout his body. One moment he was there, the next he was gone and appeared above JENOVA in mid-air from his speed increase, leaving behind a wispy trail of crimson and ebon light streaking off his body like a fireball. Speaking of which, he activated the Fire Materia inserted into the relief keychain of his Cerberus, firing a large rapid fireball from the gun swinging off his fingers that would cause a large explosion upon impact.
He didn't answer Felix's cry if he was okay; he let the action do the talking for him now. The beast within was about to be unleashed... this would be one hell of a storm to weather through.

How dare those pitiful fools challenge Jenova? A lot had happened in just a short period of time, and it Jenova immediately began to adjust and correct her game plan accordingly. First, other warriors of both light and dark began to clutter the surrounding area. The first was a redheaded child who immediately attacked Heaven’s Dark Harbringer. No matter, Jenova simply dove into the air at just the right angle to avoid the attack. As for the attack itself, it actually took a moment for Mother to notice that damage would soon be inflicted upon the perfection that was her body. It wasn’t until she heard a constant sound that was almost perfectly masked by the storm brewing around them. Jenova only had a quick moment to dodge the attack. As she drove into the air, she noticed a large crater form at the impact zone. That fool must have some sort of technique to alter the mass of his weaponry. I will have to pay closer attention to that child. It would not kill me, but it was drastically hinder my plans.[/i] As Jenova lifted herself a good thirty to forty feet in the air, she noticed others arrive on the scene. One of those individuals definitely caught her attention, mostly because it had the striking resemblance to another ‘failure’ of a son, Genesis. But that was impossible! For all she knew Genesis had died years before Jenova executed her first Reunion. Of course, she too walked the planes once more, so it wasn’t that extraordinary after all; however, this wasn’t Genesis. No, this was one of the experimental clones made from cells taken from her ‘Angel.’ She would definitely have to interrogate the clone later. The Harbringer, however, made a vital mistake: She failed to keep an eye on Vincent and the sapphire haired woman below. It wasn’t until she was nailed directly in the chin by a fire spell that she remembered that this was a group affair and not a time to reflect on events from the past. If Jenova was already in a foul mood, the nerve of that damned Turk definitely escalated it. Did he not recall the dangers Jenova brought with her to the battlefield? No matter. He would now face the full extent of the Calamity’s anger and talents. If Jenova could wipe the floor with the Cetra single-handedly, then a single Turk would be no match for Heaven’s Dark Harbringer. Jenova’s eyes let off an eerie crimson glow, much like that of any other time she was about to unleash her fury. She needn’t move a muscle to execute her next move. As the two once-again-rivals both held themselves high above the rest of the battlefield, Jenova unleashed her powerful Firaga spell. An inch from Valentine’s body, an explosion of flames burst into form. The powerful blast spread itself approximately thirty feet from the epicenter. It was not as simple as an explosion though, as small secondary blasts also emerged deep inside the sphere to increase the pressure inside the explosion. Vincent would learn the treason behind denying Mother her dynasty. She wouldn’t stop her onslaught there, however, as she rushed in behind the veil of smoke left behind from the blast that had only ended a second prior. She knew where gunman’s strengths rested, and long range warfare was the majority of them. When she found herself within striking distance of the monstrous ex-Turk, she slashed at the crimson-clad gunner in a cross-style with both her clawed hands. It wouldn’t be enough to kill him, but it would definitely hinder his movements and give Jenova the advantage of unpredictability. She’d faced the near-immortal enough to know that he expected magic from Jenova; therefore, a physical attack was usually a surprise, even to someone as logical as Vincent Valentine. The battle would now surely tip into her favor. A sigh of relief escaped the freelancer's lips as he was fairly certain that the smog he had found himself in earlier hadn't gotten in his systems. Indeed, breathing it in seemed to be the only way to be effected by it and fortunately enough for Felix, holding his breath for long periods of time was something he was pretty good at in case the attack presented itself again. Because as he was watching as many participants in this battle as he could, he noticed Jenova had looked back to the crater that he had left. Needless to say, if the attack was dodged it had no effect but surely it was something anyone regardless of endurance would be worried about it.
'Assuming that thing has the same anatomy as a human, I doubt that massive of a blow to the temple would be nice, even with that stupid looking helmet... she'll probably attack me now,' the red head thought, getting ready for any counter. Before one was even launched though, a few new arrivals had made their dramatic appearances. Two men had come with a hair color far too close to silver for Felix' tastes, something that always put him off when seeing someone... silver hair was never a good sign
'Either they're aging really badly or they're evil is the only explanation for that hair and considering the day so far...' he quickly looked back to the other two villains before turning his head back, 'it seems the latter is far more likely... gah and I thought today was going to be relaxation day with a few ladies clinging to me!'
After this thought process though, he noticed that the one silver-haired man (with clothes that seemed way too impractical to be comfortable) had already begun attacking the gunblade totting warrior that had appeared after the other one came. The attack worried the freelancer a bit, making a mental note to be careful of that man... jeez magic users were such a pain.
'Why can't people just fight with their fists? Be a lot simpler that way,' he whined mentally as he heard the red cloaked man yell off from the distance about taking on the blue creature thing himself surely meaning he was in fighting shape. This was surely something Felix was worried about seeing as he wasn't too sure how he'd fare against Jenova anyway. Although this put him at ease, it didn't answer a far more important question that had just came to the forgetful freelancer.
'Wait what about the hottie?! Is she alright?!' he thought looking back again for her frantically. As it would seem though, she had managed to evade the attack but now was stumbling around like somebody who had just a tad too much to drink. He chuckled lightly at the scene but soon put his eyes back on the only man without a dance partner. He would have loved to go help the girl with her opponent but the best thing he could do is take care of the lonesome and soaked villain by the shore. He wouldn't want to leave said foe unattended and possibly give him reason to try a sneak attack as Felix had done.
'Plus she looks like she can take care of herself... I'll flirt with her later,' Felix thought as he stepped toward the G Slayer who had finally reached the sandy part of the shore, probably having exerted a bunch of energy to get there. The rain continued to pore, Felix putting his back to the wind as he faced the G Slayer, a grin curving against his lips. As he approached the G Slayer with only about ten feet separating them before he stopped, he had managed to take off his rather soaked shirt, figuring it'd just weigh him down during this fight. Not only that but it may come in handy for waving a white flag that he could attach to the end of his sword if things got too serious... yeah that's why he was taking it off... totally.
“Well as it seems all the other dance partners are taken so you'll have to do the tango with me... let's be quick alright?” he pleaded as he suddenly threw his shirt toward the G Slayer's face. With the wind blowing as violently as it was, the “projectile” had a fairly good speed and surely would block the G Slayer's vision within hardly a moments passing. That being noted, Felix would take the opportunity to once again activate his Mass Manipulator, reducing his mass to 1/10th. While he certainly wished to reduce it further, doing so would be risky with the current weather conditions seeing as he could be blown away at any lower a mass. Realistically though, he probably wouldn't need his mass any lower anyway, knocking it down that much certainly being enough to move at a speed that'd catch the G Slayer off guard... especially if the shirt had gotten caught in his face.
Regardless, Felix would get to the man's flank which wasn't lugging a giant piece of metal (at ludicrous speeds of course), his arm flailing about with a slash starting from the shoulder and working all around that flank. While the blows would be weakened due to his reduced mass, they would also be numerous and, if allowed to stack up, would quickly deplete the opponent's stamina. Open wounds had a tendency to do that and moving around only made them worse and that's what Felix was hoping for. If he could get his opponent to tire himself out that would make life a lot easier for the money obsessed freelancer. Certainly if the opponent was defeated swiftly he'd have extra time for the more important things in life.
'I really need to finish this guy quick... I wanna flirt with that blue haired girl already.'
