There he stood, at the exact pillar-top where fought Master Xehanort. High above the field of keys, Terra looked backward at the mayhem that had happened all those years ago. He couldn’t believe he was lost for so long. It took him finally laying eyes on Riku again to realize just how long he’d been out of commission. How could he make up for lost time? There was no right answer to that. Terra had let the darkness consume him once already. It wasn’t going to happen again, he wouldn’t let it.
Terra looked up at the clouds. The last time he stared up at that same position, a giant heart-shaped moon had appeared at Xehanort’s command. Now, that all seemed even more distant to Terra. Luckily, he had finally reunited with Ven, and he wouldn’t let the darkness in his heart drive them apart again. In fact, Terra would see to it that nothing tore the Chasers apart again. If Xehanort happened to return, just as the bronze keybearer had, he would meet his end. Terra had no more room for error when it concerned the evil manipulator, and he would not let his darkness overtake him again.
The cool wind splashed against Terra’s face and immediately brought him out of his daze. There was more to do than simply gaze at the stars all night. The keyblade apprentice had to begin his life anew, with all his friends, even his new ones. He only made a visit to Keyblade Graveyard to kill any lingering demons from his past. He didn’t need the ghosts of his past haunting him any further. He had a chance to start anew and he planned to take every advantage of it.
The short travel from the tops of the cliffs took only a few minutes. Terra kept a slow pace; he wasn’t in any hurry, not anymore. He could finally begin to live in peace with Aqua and Ven. Nothing would come between them, not anymore.
”Alright, as soon as I find Ven, I’m outta here.”[/b]

((OOC: Yay for fever induced posts!))
Something.. felt off here. More off then usual. A deep heavy sigh escaped the young Chasers lips. But what? While Terra had gona off alone towards the top of the cliffs while Ven had been reluctant to follow. This place.. held so many bad memories. It hurt even thinking of it much less being here. So why was he here? Because Terra had come, and of course he had followed. He'd always seen Terra as an older brother and of course after being seperated for so long he'd want to tag along. So now he sat alone, crouched down beside one of the many lines of keyblades that stood in the dirt. Each one acting as a tombstone for a keyblader that lost his or her life in a great Keyblade War. And over what? An ultimate Keyblade. Something that had come and gone from existance last time he had treaded these grounds. Something that had cost him his heart.
A hand slowly placed itself over his chest. Thump thump, thump thump. A small crack of a smile crossed his lips as his heartbeat came through loud and clear. He'd do it all over again though, if he had to. Hopefully that wouldn't be the case this time around. Ven's head turned after a few moments and randomly swirling his finger in the dirt to see the brunette keyblader descend from the cliff tops. "Terra!" The boy happily exclaimed, quickly standing back up straight and dusting the dirt from his hands. It had been more then great to see his friends again, and to go out on adventures with them. It was like they had picked up directly where they had left off all those years ago.
The young Chaser quickly made his way over to meet Terra the second he was on his feet. He wasn't sure to ask how things had gone while he had ventured off alone or to just leave the subject alone. "Does this place feel.. A little more off to you than usual, Terra..?" The young keybearer questioned. True this place always had an eery feel to it, it was a graveyard... But something was off enough to raise questions in his mind. Questions he wasn't really sure how to explain. Something was just not right and it was bugging him to no end.

A stunning calm had taken over the legendary battlefield. This calm was surrounded by a dark essence. Thousands of outcast keyblades stuck through the sands of the graveyard. Their story unknown but yet legendary. A story with unknown memories affecting a future that's yet to be determined but who's final mark would change life as they all knew it. The new generation of this legacy had enacted part two of this deadly tragedy, resulting in a loss on all sides. Each participate being cornered to their side of fate until time would come for the third generation to step in.
Thus they were here now. A shrouded sun basked the grave site, and it's unnatural beacon signal had called it's victims back within it's grasp. It was truly fate that all battles of legend would begin and finish on it's patch of dirt. Upon the higher landmarks of the cliffs and forged mountains, a soldier sat in waiting for the world to initiate it's curse. His face shrouded by the darkness of which he was created, piercing through each corner of the world with golden amber eyes. Inhaling slowly a devious grin emerged across his face. A familiar scent and aura had returned to life. It gave the Dark Entity rejuvenation throughout his whole body.
"It's about time you've waken up," he said in a crisp tone. He was full of patience to satisfy his needs. With time came knowledge and he completely understand the basics of this from his training. The only thing that perturbed him was when something was weak. It denied him the ability to achieve perfection; to become whole. Hopefully the boy had held onto his power while retrieving nourishment through sleep. If not then his time would end, just as before. There was no point in letting a toy play around with other pieces if it was not fulfilling it's purpose of creation.
Yet, another wave of energy made him enjoy this moment even more. There was more than one bearer upon these sands. It must have been his lucky day to achieve such a gift from this world. Maybe even a world's heart could have a connection with others. Certainly this was not truly on fate, but he wouldn't be surprised if it was. Standing quickly at the top of the peak, Vanitas looked upon the world finding where the victims of Light had gathered. It was time to get answers whether they were ready or not. Without another movement, a wisp of air was heard as Void Gear appeared in his hand. The taste of battle was gathering upon his lips.
Before the two keybladers, a portal of darkness would appear before them. At least just the appearance of it was questionable, but all would be answered as the Dark Entity slowly escaped the void. Pausing before the keybladers, Vanitas only starred them down. All this time and nothing had changed about them. They were still kids and bound to a weapon that they barely knew about when it came to it's true essence. His eyes caught more attention to Ventus, absorbing his feelings about Vanitas' simple appearance.
"I was wondering when you jokes would show up," Vanitas stated. "I was beginning to think that you were afraid of getting your butts kicked. Honestly I don't blame you." With that the Dark Apprentice instantly stepped back into his fighting position. Keyblade gripped tightly in his right hand and only moving due to the pulsing of his body. "Let's see if you're still up to par with the best."

The young man continued his search of new worlds, obviously very curious about them all. That was when he felt as if something was tugging him to this new world. Curious he landed on this new world. The sounds of blowing wind showing off just how deserted this place was. Where the heck was he!? All around him it was just dust and rocks. Was this some desert world? Did people even live here?
Though what was worse about this place was it's aura. He wasn't entirely sure about what it was about this place, but it seemed to be covered in this dark aura. It sent shivers down his spine. Why would he be called to this place? Was it the darkness he felt? Did it call to his darker spirit? The young man needed answers. He wondered around, though still seeing nothing but desert in this barren waste land. Until finally he came across a very large field fill with nothing but keyblades. He was almost in awe of the sight. The young key wielder had no clue there were so many.
'Is this where my blade originates from!?' he thought to himself, eyes wide. Did these keyblades just lay here until it found itself a master worthy to wield it? This was all so confusing. He just wished he had someone to explain things to him. He didn't understand just what these blades were, and he didn't know where to get answers. A brush of wind past him making his hair flow as he looked up, seeing another coming down a cliff. So there were people here? Maybe from them he could get answers. With a smile he began to run, in hopes of being able to ask these others questions but he stopped with wide eyes as he looked at the portal that had appeared. What was that!? He watched with fearful eyes as a dark, masked figure came from it. Just looking at him Night could tell that he was not a good man. Just who was he?
Though as the black and red figure summoned a keyblade of his own, his eyes couldn't help but widen. He had a weapon just like his? So there really were others out there. Or in this case here. He noticed the battle stance, though was not sure what to do. Nght deciding to sit back for now, to see just what was unfolding before his eyes.

Terra wasn’t surprised when he saw Ventus bounding towards his location. Terra had just finished giving himself closure with this world. He never wanted to see the graveyard again, not after the disaster that occurred the last time they appeared on the deserted world. When Ventus made his way, Terra quietly said hello by placing his hand on top of Ven’s spikey-haired head.
”Hey Ven.”[/b]
A salutation wasn’t all Ven said upon his arrival, however. He mentioned something about the world feeling off. Terra could tell they weren’t alone, but his senses weren’t quite as attuned to those things as his master, Eraqus. All he could tell was there were two others on this world. Whether they were friend or foe remained to be seen. The earthen keybearer decided it was in Ven’s best interests to ignore them and let him know that nothing was the matter.
”I think this place is getting to you, Ven. Go on home, and I’ll be right behind you.”[/b]
Unfortunately, there wasn’t time for Ven to leave the Keyblade Graveyard. The masked boy, Vanitas, appeared before both him and Ven almost immediately after Terra told the youngest apprentice to leave. This would definitely hinder that though. He knew Ventus well enough to know that he wouldn’t leave anymore, no matter what Terra said, but he had to try anyway.
”Ven! Go home! He’s mine this time!”[/b]
Terra immediately summoned his Ends of the Earth keyblade and charged forward towards the commander of the Unversed. He decided to catch the masked boy off guard and he dashed the final twenty feet and turned it into a rolling horizontal slash. He turned the single attack into a combo by adding in a diagonal slash, another horizontal slash, and a powerful falling vertical slam. There was no way Terra would let the masked boy leave without feeling the full might of the bronze keyblader.
”I don’t know what you want, but this ends now, Vanitas!”[/b]
Terra meant business as he jumped backwards, he almost decided to use his most powerful Shotlock right then and there. But he knew that this battle wasn’t going to be quite that easy. He decided now to change his command style and go with another direct attack against the ebony-suited man. But that left Terra wondering which style would best suit him for fighting the man. Sure, he’d never fought Vanitas himself, but he looked fast, and speed was something Terra often lacked in. At that, Terra’s query answered itself. There was one command style that perfectly suited this situation and it was time for him to activate it.
A lightning aura broke the plains of existence and hung tight to Terra’s body. Again, he dashed at the masked boy, but this time it was before he made landfall from his backward hop. He dashed downward turning his entire body into an electric missile. Once within striking range, he put together a quick horizontal slash, two crossing diagonal slashes, another horizontal slash and a powerful stab, all of which aimed directly for the torso of Vanitas. He finished his combo by raising his keyblade into the air as it projected a powerful net of electricity that extended a good twenty feet in each direction. Again, he reminded himself that the masked boy would not leave this world in one piece, if his Thunderbolt didn’t finish him already.

A small chuckle and a content smile crossed Ven's features as he felt Terra's had pat down into his spiky blonde tresses. It was a silent greeting that had always given Terra an older brother feel. Ven quietly listened to Terra's words his joy quickly shattered as two simple words left his friend's lips. 'Go home'. Go home? But... why? Those words were never good, they always had some hidden meaning behind them, like, something was wrong which of course only made him want to stay. At least until Terra left with him. "No! Really, Terra! Something feels off!" The young Chaser complained, a look of disappointment washing over his face. Of course, just as the words seemed to fill the air, a portal opened.
Bright blue eyes widened as a black clad figure slowly crept out from the dark void. No.... There was no way... Vanitas... Ven could feel his heart and his muscles tighten at even the mere sight of him. This boy had been cause for the loss of his heart, his life, and his friends... Ventus finally snapped back to reality as Terra ordered him to go home. Again with that... He wasn't leaving Terra here with that... monster. Terra would have a better chance at Master Xehanort coming by and giving them all chocolates and flowers. Ya, fat chance.
"No, Terra! I'm not leaving!" A bright flash of light shot from Ventus's hand as the Wayward Wind appeared clutched tightly in his grasp. Was just jumping into a fight the best of ideas? He watched as Terra did just that, as horrific flashback crossed his mind.. This scene had played out in this spot the last time they had visited.. Only now Master Xehanort and Aqua were not present. "Terra, wait!" The boy called out, still lost in his own recollection of the past. That battle had nearly been the end of them all..
The sound of Terra casting spells was enough to jolt the young boy back into reality as he spun his keyblade around on his fingers before regaining a solid grip on resuming his odd fighting stance. "What are you doing back Vanitas?!" From the way he was talking is almost sounded like he was waiting for them.. But why? "I've beaten you before, Vanitas.. And I'll do it again." Determination came through loudly in his tone. He would not let whatever he was planning happen. He'd stop him even if it cost him his heart again..
Quickly pulling his hand back, Ventus then launched is forward, releasing the Keyblade from his grip as his arm reached the end of its reach. The move allowed his Keyblade to act like a boomerang. Strike Raid. Great for distance and sneak attack shots. Who'd expect to see a Keyblade flying towards them without it's wielder?

(Size 1 hater xD) A panicked fury was played out before him. It was amusing to watch everything play it the way it did. Time proved to change nothing. The heart's true essence always revealed itself throughout each being. There was no such thing as change or redemption. It all led to chaos, revenge, and overall, darkness. He could feel it. There was a hatred for him. A negative feeling that fueled him with energy similar to what an elixir could produce. It was the strongest of all emotions and quickly turned to the worse in all beings. Watching Terra push Ventus back, he was already prepared for the lung Terra took towards him.
Easily Vanitas swerved between and around Terra's attacks, clashing the metals of their keyblades to divert his power away. Upon the final vertical slash, Vanitas black-flipped slowly and landed with a kneel. The power from his flip still pushing him back as he landed but friction slowly stopped his movements. As the dark brunette spoke, Vanitas chuckled as the retaliation the boy spoke about. He was still the same, he was still becoming what they wanted of him. Or rather, he was becoming himself. The boy then made a mistake and paused. The Dark Entity quickly took notice of this movement and closed in the space between them with a light jog. He could smell a plan coming from the keyblader a mile away, and his plan would fail no matter what he figured could happen. With a release of energy, Terra was clouded in an aura of Lightning. Elemental power was useless but he would find that out in time.
Again the keyblades collided with each other. However, upon the final stab, Vanitas spun to the right watching the blade breeze past his body. Unfortunately, the Thunderbolt final command caught him by surprised. The strings of electricity hit him across the body and pushed him back a bit. The other strands of electricity flew around but would not catch him. Quickly, Vanitas looked towards Terra to see Ventus starting to get into the battle. Running in a circular pattern around Terra, he waved his keyblade to fire a wave of his Dark Blizzaga to the earth keyblader. The sheet was ice was cloaked in a dark aura but it's power to free was just as strong as any other Blizzaga spell. The sheet could also camouflage his movements towards Ventus.
Completely putting his focus on Ventus, he noticed the keyblade already coming towards him. Without thinking his lunged his body up into the sky and flipped up. His landing would not be upon the ground but instead on the whirling keyblade itself. As the keyblade would return it's raid to it's user, Vanitas returned with it in a spinning fury. Just before getting too close, Vanitas jumped up into the air and five strings of black lightning would escape his keyblade towards his counterpart for his Dark Thundaga attack. Landing down, Vanitas took small notice of another watching the battle. As long as he was not interfering Vanitas had nothing to do with him. This battle had purpose and meaning for the keybladers while to him it was a study. The war of Light and Darkness was irrelevant but the knowledge gained was priceless.
"Is that all?" Vanitas stated as he equaled the distance from his himself, Terra, and Ventus. "I was expecting more power. More need to rid of me. Please don't tell me you forgot all that's happened. Poor Aqua. Must be a pity to protect friends that won't fight an enemy." Cooldown: Dark Blizzaga: 1 post Dark Thundaga: 1 post

The young man watched with wide as the scene unfolded in front of him. It was obvious to him that they two had a grudge against the boy with a mask. Though personally, it wasn’t all that surprising. The mask one just radiated this darkness he had never felt before. Just what was he? He over-heard the name 'Vanitas' being spoken out by the others. A surprise expression on his face as they summoned their own keyblades. So just how many of them were there!? Well they all had something in common at least, that weapon. Though should he be jumping in? Did he have the right?
He watched as the older teen dash at the masked boy, Night deciding that it was best to stay at the sidelines for now. Well he thought anyways until he watched the dark one's movements. He was matching each attack, slash by slash, or just using his superior speed to out maneuver him. Yeah, this guy was good no doubt about that. Though not unbeatable as a large flash of lighting radiated from the dark hair man's keyblade. What was he called? Terra, right? Well at least that was the name he believe he heard. He watched as then the blond boy threw his keyblade. Was that really a smart move? Just how did he plan on getting it back? OH! Was it like a boomerang? Were they all like that, or was it just his? The young boy shook his head, 'No this is no time to be fascinated,' he thought to himself as the black one easier countered yet again. This time he somehow managed to land on the keyblade and send it right back at him. After which sending lightning bolts of darkness at the other teen. Eyes narrowing as he heard him talk.
Night couldn't just sit back and watch as other were being hurt in front of him. He took one step forward, though that was when realization hit him. He looked up at the night sky with dread. Should he fight!? If he did, that would mean having to use his spirit of darkness. Not something he was comfortable with doing. Already he could feel the spirit's urges to battle. Could he keep that urge under control? He sighed as a more determined look came across him knowing full well that he shouldn't have been debating this. People were in trouble in front of him and he was going to help.
With a new determined look in his eyes, Night raised his right arm, the dark charm on his bracelet engulfing his body with a dark aura. The energy transforming his body into that with a lion armored man. A dark chuckle escaping his masked lips. Ahh to be free. Even though it had only been a few weeks since the last time he was used, it felt light years. And now he was here in the heat of battle. Oh what fun. Amber eyes looked at his opponent as his arm extended a dark aura emanating from his hand as his 'Way to Devastation' appeared. What to start off with. Maybe something simple for now just to see how this dark figure fought more. The attacks from before still not revealing his true methods.
He stepped forward, a dark aura coming from his blade before slashing it Vantias with his Dark Blade. A blade of darkness flying at him with great speed. He smiled behind his mask. He almost felt stronger thanks to the aura of darkness that surrounded this world. However with Night's will still intact he knew that he needed to battle for its light.
Cool Down: 2 post. Notes: I am, and I think I have mention this somewhere before, if I had my way I place in code that would disable it! >D |

Of course Vanitas was fast enough to dodge and parry Terra’s strikes. He’d seen this speed first hand, but he knew his weakness was power, something the bronze keybearer excelled in. The majority of Terra’s strikes missed their mark, but, fortunately, the finish command managed to throw the masked boy off long enough for Ven to get into the action. Unfotunately, however, Vanitas decided to attack the earthen keyblader before Ven could send an attack.
Shards of ice erupted from the tip of Vanitas’s keyblade and soared directly for Terra’s chest. He didn’t have time to dodge, but he definitely had time to raise his keyblade. With his keyblade slashing directly at the ice blast, Terra managed to redirect most of the attack. The downfall was that several shards of the Dark Blizzaga did manage to slash at Terra’s right shoulder. Terra wouldn’t let this single attack tear him down though. He immediately saw Vanitas shift the whole of his attention towards Ventus.
Perfect! Vanitas took out his mobility by landing on the keyblade and letting himself soar towards Ven. If he wanted his attack to go smoothly, he would need to stay on the keyblade, and with the entirety of his attention upon Ventus, Terra had the freedom to attack. He doubted he’d have the chance for a perfect attack like this again, so he decided to use his most ultimate attack.
Terra made sure he was perfectly visible to Ventus before he shifted the whole of his keyblade into a massive cannon that rested upon the bronze keyblader’s shoulder. In the center of the barrel an immense bomb of energy immediately began to charge. The immense power began to radiate throughout Terra’s entire body. Finally, a massive blast fired directly towards Vanitas with the utmost vengeance planned for his attack against Terra just moments ago.
Even if Vanitas managed to jump out of the way, the powerful Ultima Cannon was a Shotlock, and as such it automatically homed in on its target, even if he decided to run away. But even if he did manage to dodge the blast, a second one was well on the way. Immediately after launching the first blast, the barrel began to light up again and a second one launched just three seconds after the first. Now there were two powerful shots of his Ultima Cannon Shotlock well on the way to eliminateing the masked boy.
Terra was even more thrilled to see a third keyblader managed to release a shockwave like projectile from the tip of his keyblade directly for Vanitas. Now there was a second distraction for Vanitas to avoid before he could focus his attention on the oncoming traffic of obliteration. Terra honestly thought he had just forced the masked boy into a checkmate-like situation.

((OOC: I'm terribly sorry for the short posts.. I'm working two jobs so I'm kinda out of it when I come home since it's the holidays.. ;--; ))
Now without a Keyblade temporarily, Ventus watched and waited for his weapon to return. Only it carried an unwanted gift along with it. Bright blue eyes widened as he saw Vanitas not only heading straight for him, but using his own keyblade as his source of transportation. All he could do was watch as his darker counterpart leaped off they spinning blade and sent a spell in his direction. What now? He was left without a keyblade and no defensive magic.. Quickly his hand reached out to snatch the large key shaped weapon that had returned from it's Strike Raid and instinctively held it out in front of him to lessen the blow on his actual body. True this wouldn't help much but it was better than nothing.
Ven's arm trembled as the electricity hit, his keyblade helping absorb some of the blast but not being able to stop it all. His body began to feel slightly numb as the jolts ran through his entire form. He quickly shook it off and resumed his stance. Vanitas' snide remarks and comments only boiled his blood more. "At least we have friends!" He quickly snapped back.
Just as Ventus went to open his mouth again, another keyblader had joined in the battle.. But who was this other mysterious warrior and.. what side was he fighting for? His question was quickly answered as the mysterious man took no time at all unleashing an attack Vanitas's way. He had hoped it wasn't a fluke and that the guy had only mistakenly attacked the wrong target. "Welcome to the fight!" He happily called over to their newly found comrade before he returned his focus to Vanitas.
With Terra just launching his Shotlock, it was surely going to draw his attention his way. And what better way to compliment a Shotlock than with another one? Giving a few seconds to focus on his target, Ventus took a short leap into the air and pointed the end of his keyblade in Vanitas' direction to start off his Shotlock: Meteor Shower. Dozens of star-like projectiles shot out from his keyblade as they sped their way towards the masked boy.

The Dark Entity looked at all opponents on the battlefield. Everything appeared in slow motion but at the same time he ran through it at a quicker pace. The space between both Chasers were centered perfectly not being too close to either one. His eyes shifted from side to side awaiting for who would be the first to strike. Positioning was perfect for whatever they would think to throw at him. This was not a battle for control but just a test of durability. Who would last the longest? Who would fail first? These questions were the resting nerves that settled any nervous tension within Vanitas' being; if they even thought to come up. With his eyes, moving over to Ventus the earth keyblader began his attack. The transformation of his keyblade quickly revealed what was coming his direction. Without any hesitation, Vanitas quickly ran away from the Ultima Cannon, but not just in any direction. His movements were towards that of Ventus. The question now was if Terra was bold enough to fire the shot. Of course...he was.
As the shot fired Vanitas swung his keyblade down to strike his counterpart.
One. Swinging his body around, he watched as the ball came towards the once whole being. Shielding himself he watched to see if Ventus would avoid the strike or have no choice but to take it head on.
Two. The impact from the hit pushed Vanitas back, but he fluently regained his balance by tossing his body back allowing him to push off with his hand to land on the ground.
Three. The second shot was fired and there was no time to wait for retaliation. Holding his keyblade above him, Vanitas swung it down to point the blade towards the incoming attack. A ball of fire instantly gathered in front of him and with a pulse of energy the Dark Firaga ball flew straight towards the second ball. Upon impact the two attacks collided releasing a strong wave of energy as the aftermath. Depending on if Ventus managed to dodge the impact could have possibly reached him also.
Was there time to breath?.....Of course not.
As Vanitas was firing his attack a dark pulse of energy suddenly arised. It was not until after the Firaga attack had been fired that the Dark Entity realized the other being had chose his side. The energy he felt was not that of the dark aura around him, but instead the keyblade he wielded. So there were more keybladers now. Fascinating. The search never ended. This distraction was enough to catch the dark keyblader off guard. As his attention finally returned he had just enough time to cross his arms before his body. The clash of the slash against his body pushed him back and on the ground. Slappin his hand down to the ground he stopped his movement gradually and jumped back up quickly. Damage was something he had adjusted to taking. The blow did take a good hit on him but he could never show any signs of vulnerability. It revealed a weakness that could never be shown.
He took a few seconds to fully stand up and just as expected another attack was coming towards him. This time from Ventus. Rather than approaching him as usual, Vanitas conserved his energy and held his keyblade before him. Each blow being blocked until the numerous hits would take their toll. Allowing the blows to hit his body, his body appeared to not be phased by them. With the last hit the After-Image phased out and several feet to it's left Vanitas appeared. Keyblade set in hand Vanitas starred down his foes as if nothing had happened. His breath was still conserved and calm. His posture was the same and precise as before. Their attacks meant nothing to him, even after the dramatic scenarios he had to put himself and his body through to survive. He had not become weaker! He still had the same strength and agility as before, even if the X-Blade was not within his grasp. The new vessel would have to be just as strong, if not stronger.
The distance between him and the other keybladers was quite a good bit now, especially after each one had sent a distance attack towards him. Were they afraid to match him in keyblade skills? Just as he had demonstrated, he could easily maneuver and force their attacks upon each other, but would they recognize that? He watched in silence like a snake watched over it's prey. Slow movements and breaths just awaiting for the perfect moment to catch them off guard. If the battle was going fast now, it definitely found another gear to speed into. Somehow, Vanitas managed to dodge the first blast from his Ultima Cannon and block the second with a powerful fire spell. To make things worse, he sent Ven spiraling towards the first attack, and, if he didn’t find a way to dodge the attack, he’d meet the blast caused by the second blast colliding with the Dark Firaga. Unfortunately, Terra didn’t have time to save Ven. If only he’d listened and returned home.
Another warrior had managed to enter the fray and, after he sent an attack towards Vanitas, managed to disappear from the battle site. Terra would definitely have to find him and thank him for the much needed distraction. The shockwave-like attack slammed into the midsection of the masked boy and sent him hurling towards the ground. Terra, now halfway across the battlefield, definitely knew his chance was upon him for an attack. He dashed to the side and bounced off the cliff-face before he saw Vanitas use a very familiar technique.
He watched as blow after blow slammed into the body-apparent of Vanitas. He’d seen this Afterimage technique before, so he merely had to find where the real Vanitas was hiding. And it didn’t take but half a second before he saw the real Vanitas appear to the left of the doppelganger, and, luckily, close to Terra. Terra was already rocketing himself towards the back of the masked boy and cloaking himself in the familiar feel of darkness.
A black cloak covered the entirety of his body and boosted both Terra’s power and speed ten-fold. Even though he hated using the power, because the obvious dark nature to it, it provided the much needed speed boost to attack Xehanort’s apprentice. Dark Impulse was the wild card that Terra so desperately needed to end this before it kicked up another notch. Terra swung his Ends of the Earth before he even got within striking range. He knew the power’s extra range bonus would send a black bullet-like projectile soaring towards the masked boy’s midsection. That would most likely gather Vanitas’s attention and allow for Terra’s physical strike to go forward with much less attention.
Terra jumped immediately and sent a falling slash towards Vanitas. He immediately landed and sent to crossing slashes towards the black-clad warrior. He wasn’t worried as much about him jumping backwards and dodging the slashes; because, if he did, he’d most likely get another black bullet following suit. Terra finished his combo by diving towards Void Gear’s owner and performing a slash that would have knocked a lesser warrior out of the ball park.
Luckily, that wasn’t the end to Terra’s attack, because now it was time for the Command Style’s finisher. Terra quickly merged into his own shadow, as it became one with Vanitas’s own shadow. He immediately blasted out of Vanitas’s shadow, from right below his jaw, and performed a rocket-like uppercut straight towards the throat of the ebony and crimson warrior. The power alone from the attack sent Terra rocketing into the air, creating a black shockwave every tenth of a second. He sent both him and Vanitas rocketing towards the former site of the heart shaped moon. Terra’s most epic finish now had the life of both himself and the masked boy held in a swirl of blacks and purples as they went sailing into mid-air.
Terra knew this entire attack would be for naught if they didn’t meet a buffer, and he was prepared to use himself as insurance to make sure the attack did the most damage. Terra curved both him and the leather bound warrior’s ascension directly into a curved cliff top. In mere moments both himself and Vanitas would meet a clay barrier, and, if it meant the end to this unfortunate darkness, Terra couldn’t be happier.
