Perhaps his last venture had been too hasty. His retreat--Kuja was too proud to call it a loss--was a little humbling, whether he liked it or not, but with his own domain under constant attack from the other side he had no choice but to back off. For what seemed like eternity, his coveted Blue Planet would lie untouched, unmarred by war or strife, and every passing second got right under Kuja's skin. The uncomfortable silence of uneasy peace needed to be broken; Kuja had reigned over his own planet Gaia for long enough.
It was time to expand his empire, and it felt only right to strike now.
How long, he inquired of the planet, do you intend to deny me my due?
The planet reeked of light. For Kuja, the light had once seemed like a beacon of hope; his brother's forgiveness--no, not forgiveness, never forgiveness, but something like it--made him think twice about the light that he had tried so hard to extinguish. For a time, it seemed like he could learn to love what he had so loathed; it became a lingering pain, trying to adjust to such an alien life, and without guidance--without Zidane--that pain worsened and worsened until Kuja could no longer stand it. He fell back into the shadows because he had nowhere else to go. He rejected the light because he convinced himself that it had rejected him, too.
And he would reject the light that contaminated this world.
Kuja wasn't going to waste time planning it, though; his last mistake was to start somewhere barren, beyond the scope of the worthless humans that should already be worshipping him as a god by now. He had to start somewhere populated, where news of their new Lord King would travel fast, and where his conquest would spread like a plague until every inch of this planet was scorched bare and engulfed in darkness.
Somewhere like Baron.
"Ladies and gentlemen, if I could have your attention please~!" If his booming voice, carried through the streets through a tangle of magic, didn't catch their attention, then the darkening skies over Castle Baron hopefully would; their Dark Messenger, silhouetted by the light of the Red Moon, lit up with crackling white orbs of flame as he weaved his spells into the perfect opening act: the first few Flares began to multiply, swollen meteors suspended in amongst the clouds, until the stage was lit and he was ready to lift the curtains.
"Your new god has arrived."
Fire and brimstone rained down.

Deumion had no idea there even was life outside his world, let alone a multitude of environments and cultures at his disposal to visit. After just finishing a thrilling enlightenment by the wielder of one marvelous weapon, the keyblade, Deumion now began his search for the one named Sora. He had to defeat the Heartless and their associates with the darkness at all cost. Sora was the one to bring Hope where there was none. If what the young Kairi said was true, he always saw the light, even if there was none to be seen. The guardian would glady serve his side in the war at hand.
The keeper of Destroy found himself traveling in the vast emptiness between worlds in a beam of solid violet light, and it seemed like he was dead on course for a massive planet to which a large castle would be his landing pad. It was his ability to use magic that enabled the Keeper of Hope to travel between worlds, and it was definitely strong enough to enable his travel to breach the barrier surrounding the foreign worlds.
It seemed fate had guided him to this marvelous keep for more reasons than seeking out the chosen Keyblade weilder. As soon as he landed upon the tallest point on the tallest tower, he immediately was made aware of the presence of a man who claimed he was the new god on this particular world. It was exactly as Kairi informed him; a war was raging between good and evil, and it was up to those capable to be the force to protect those who cannot protect themselves. It was completely and entirely up to Deumion to protect the innocents of Castle Baron.
Deumion hated using his magic, it was a terrible force that brought about the countless suffering to tens of thousands of people on the world he called home. Unfortunately, however, that same destructive force must be the equalizer between these two men of great power. A rain of boulders and blaze began to descent into a torrent of torment to those who would have the image of their demise cast itself before their very eyes. The guardian could not stand for this, not at all. The eerily powerful wind forced the cape around him to blow to the east and display the lightly armored form of Deumion to the city's ravanger.
"If you are indeed this world's god, then the heavens have called me for a change in regime. I am forced to act to defend the people who call this castle home."[/b]
Deumion lifted his staff and pointed it directly at the silhouette in the skies and immediately two things happened simultaniously. First a rain of equally large spherical warheads fell from the skies that had not yet been touched by the veil of clouds. These spheres were perfectly aimed to counter-act the meteors befalling the town. He didn't have enough in the spell to counter-act them all, so he merely concentrated on the castle town and its surrounding village. The rest merely crashed into the surrounding scenery, each one with its own blast and resulting crater. The meteors that were targeted, however, met their unfortunate end before they came within mere feet of causing damage to the wonderous castle below him.
The second effect of his spell was a massive pillar of blaze that erupted from the tip of Deumion's staff and set itself in a dead sprint for the shadowed man behind the attack. Deumion silently wondered if the man could be saved, and if he'd repent from his actions. The guardian did not want to endanger the life of the attacker, but the people were far more important in this moment.
"Leave now, before I am forced to act in the best interest of the citizens below."[/b]
All hope rest on the shoulders of the hope itself.
Cooldown[/u]

Kuja has failed to post for 4 days.
The Light has captured Blue Planet (FF4)!
Since Deumion has won, he is allowed an upgrade of one ability each or one modification to his power, and will be notified. Requests are to be PMed to Vincent. Congrats!
