Thunder echoed throughout the region, lightning cracking and tearing blue bolts across the grey stormy sky, as they came to earth and struck towers to neutralize their energy. The Thunder Plains was a well known and infamous area for anyone travelling between Besaid Island and Zanarkand, two places on extreme polar opposites of this world, but had been made renowned in their own right from the history and individuals of this world. While not often visited and even less a area desired to remain in, even here the reaches of the Heartless roamed and were left unchecked, electrified Emblem species attracted to the surges of electricity and resembling the fiends native to the area lurking in the shadows around the towers. The lightning flashes only served to stretch the shadows even longer than they would in the sun, even if they lasted only instantaneously. Perhaps a world that best served as an example to the natural chaotic state that Spira was always plagued with, as the Eternal Calm present was hit with wave after wave of chaos, in the twisting spiral of goodwill and malice that was the land and waves of Spira.
Closer to the base of the towers, the Heartless slowly rose up from the shadows, only a few of them present in the hopes of picking off a travelling wander. Either if they fell from the savage fiends that attacked them, or if they were unluckily struck by lightning that the towers failed to ground, another reason why the Heartless were more abundant in this patch of land than any other in Spira. They had arrived out of the darkness to pick off one stranger that had been moving in the twilight, who hobbled and stumbled as if they were critically injured, but all there was to recognise them by was their darkened silhouette in between the highlights of the lightning. The Heartless moved like scavengers after the lone individual, slowly rising to surround them, waiting for the right moment to strike to steal that precious heart.
Whether it was of light or darkness, it did not matter nor could it be distinguished, only that it was seized.
A Shadow swept in, moving across the ground as if it’s feet slid across the shadows, leapt in with clawed hands out to make the first strike. A shadowed hand swept out from the figure and struck the Heartless, throwing it backwards, ripping it apart as it disintegrated and returned to the darkness whence it came. More Shadows swept forward to attack after the first, but they only met the same fate, as the muscular arms of the male struck through them and tore them apart with pure strength one by one. After they were gone, there was a tremendous bellow that ripped through the plains as it was followed by lightning, and the nearby tower buckled as large digits raked through the surface of its metallic base. The inhuman roar was followed by the accompanying crash of thunder after it, and then the blinding flash of lightning as it struck the tower, highlighting the silhouette of a man crackling with violent electricity as he stood hanging from the side of the lightning rod at it’s apex.
Whatever this raging being was… it was no longer human.

The adventure for the young lady dressed in purples and yellows began when the black hole appeared before her as she was walking through the streets of the town where she had met that creature Orthos. While the encounter had been more or less, eventful it did agitate the young woman to be removed from a world where her friends could’ve been. In any case, the black hole removed her from the somewhat peaceful Traverse Town and dropped her in a more dangerous place. Being dropped at the entrance of Spira’s Thunder Plains, Celes only had a second to take in the stormy clouds and listen to the thunder before a bolt of lightening tried to strike her. Unprepared for such a thing, the young lady stumbled back and fell to the hard earth as the bolt struck the ground inches before. Shocked and a bit unnerved, the young lady picked herself up wondering what sort of place this was.
As she looked behind her, she saw some form of an entrance that was blocked, so there was no escaping that way. Turning back to the large area scattered with towers, Celes knew she had no choice, but to move forward. Bracing herself for anything, she hurried out into the field. Learning quickly that this place was full of fiends and black creatures with yellow eyes, Celes found that traveling in the already hazardous place even more difficult. Taking cover under one of the towers, Celes jumped a bit as lightening struck the top of the tower. Such a horrible place! Why had she even been brought here? Surely her friends would not have come to such a place. So why? The young lady’s mind whirled as she looked across the area for the next nearest tower. Relief swept over as she saw that the next tower was only a few paces across the large field; however, her relief became a frown as she saw that between her and safety were the ant like creatures with yellow eyes. Gripping her sword (that she had drawn a while back), she headed out into the little beasts. With elegant circular movements, she sliced through the beasts one by one until she finally made an opening and was able to make a run for the tower.
While she made it to safety, the little beasts followed; however, they did not make it far before a larger fiend destroyed them as it moved through the area. Keeping quiet, Celes watched the hulking beast continue on its way, not seeming to mind the lightening that struck its body occasionally. Relieved that the threat had passed, Celes closed her eyes and relaxed a bit; however, her down time did not last long. An inhuman roar ripped through the area causing the nearby towers to tremble and crack. Startled, Celes opened her eyes and scanned the area for the source of the sound. It did not take long for the young woman to spot what had caused the sound. Some form of beast was on top of one of the towers, with electricity flowing over its body as it roared to the skies. Getting bad vibes from the beast, Celes began to wonder if it was because of this creature she had been sent to this miserable place. Was she meant to defeat the thing?

(OOC: Just be careful how you interpret things, Celes. I didn't say this individual was struck by lightning until he hung off the lightning Rod of one of the towers.)
The creature had been watching from the top of the tower, watching the stranger below him with glowing eyes. The metal it had been hanging onto twisted and bent with the weight he had applied to it, and aggressively he tore it off and threw it away. From his roar which had finished echoing throughout the Thunder Plains, it was obvious it was agitated in some manner. It's large frame moved within the shadows, making a gut-wrenching growl at the newcomer, until suddenly it leapt off the tower. It landed with a solid thud before the young woman, slowly rising, revealing little by little it's hulking body as it towered over her. It continued it's intimidating growl, it's face contorted into one of suffering and rage.
It seemed to be giant metallic creature, covered in silver metal, like an Iron Giant. Not as large, but all parts of it's body was shaped with smooth steel, only jagged in places with spikes and bolts coming out of his body. Like a robot Frankenstein, except it was not pieced together with the parts of dead bodies, but moved seamlessly together with a will of it's own despite it's chest being lined with large stitches. It had almost ivory sweeping spikes of hair flowing down it's back and alongside his face to his chin, a skeletal face that also had stitches running through it, and a red glow coming from the slit of it's intense eyes. The left arm was completely covered in gold armor, and it also had gold plates buckled to it's bare dragon-like humanoid feet. Black trousers ripped at the knee and ankles covered his lower torso and legs, and a strange crimson coat with a black buckle to keep it belted to it's waist like a small robe, with more black buckles and tattered, frayed edges showing as it blew behind him from the air that was kicked up.
The Death Gigas was also covered in a veil of darkness that rippled around and off his body, his broad chest heaving as he inhaled and exhaled loudly in extreme anger, and almost immediately it snarled as if something about the lady had set him off. He moved forward, like a enraged gorilla would do when it was threatened, moving forward with it's hulking mass in almost the same manner. A solid fist came flying down at the girl, attempting to strike her first, slamming into the ground and sending the blue rock below scattering in dust and pieces everywhere. Another fist came at her, a large swing of the opposite fist traveling in a horizontal fashion, as if to punch her across her face... or head it would seem, as that was about the same size as his massive fists. As he swing wide with his swing, if he had missed or not, he staggered just a bit off balance long enough for the female to see there was a opening of some sort in his back where batteries - or perhaps something smaller and rounder in shape - was missing.
For those that knew Vincent, the Protomateria was gone, and he was being controlled by a source of darkness not present in this world.
(OOC: Vincent is using one of his limit forms in this fight, as the cost of being stuck in it, being limited to the attacks only Death Gigas can use and in immense pain because the darkness is not allowing him to transform back for plot reasons.)

((OOC: I will try to make my wording clearer. She saw him hanging there a few seconds after the lightening had hit him. Also, thanks for clearing up what form he was in. Fun. Fun. ^^))
Celes moved slightly forward as she watched the creature at the top of the tower. At first it seemed to only watch her with glowing eyes that made the young woman feel uncomfortable. Then the creature began to move. She watched as it took the rod off the top of the tower and threw off into the plains. Between the action and the roar, the young lady could tell the creature was agitated, but about what she could not say nor did she have the time to ponder the thought as the creature moved along the tower growling at her.
Celes could tell that the creature was large just from watching it on the tower; however, just how large wasn’t revealed until it unexpectedly jumped off the tower and landed with a thud before her. As it rose from its crouched position, Celes took a step back as she observed the huge, growling beast with both horror and shock written upon her face. Anger and suffering, a metallic body with bolts and spikes coming off it, stitches along its face and chest, strange white hair, and more…As Celes took in this strange beast, she began to wonder what had created such a thing. She could not relate the beast to anything within her world nor could she relate it to anything she had run into along her journey. Whatever this monster was Celes had a feeling it was not a typical fiend. Something about the way it acted and the waves of darkness that flowed off it told the young lady, this thing was something worse than any fiend she’d ever met.
Frozen to the spot for the moment, Celes watched the creature as it inhaled and exhaled heavily as waves of anger came from it. Then with a snarl it was in action, moving across the distance at unexpected speed. As the first fist came down, Celes instinctively jumped back as the beast’s fist slammed into the earth inches from her, sending a rain of rock and dust up into the air. Not having time to worry about any injury that may have been caused from the rain, Celes saw the creature make a horizontal swing at her with its opposite arm. As she saw the fist move towards her head, she had a split second to see a strange hole in the creature’s back as it staggered a bit from the force of the blow. Was that its weakness or did it mean something else?
After she had spotted the strange hole, she had no choice, but to move or get hit. Diving under the swing, she tumbled to the right to get away from the creature. Unprotected by the tower, Celes got to her feet breathing a bit heavily from her narrow escape. Calming herself quickly, she took advantage of the slight stagger. Holding her left fist against her chest, she took a moment to concentrate. She felt her finger tips tingle and become cold as she began to pull in the cold energy of ice and focus it into her hand. Once she had gained enough of the energy, she swung out her hand, opening her fingers as she did so. When she did this, a foggy ball of ice shot towards the beast. She could only pray her blizzard spell would hit and do some damage to the strange beast. ____________________________________________________

(OOC: Yeah, you might want to work on that. He didn't completely rip off the entire lightning rod, just a bit of the tower. Also, I meant to not reveal who he was until he attacked to add to the tension and suspense for some intense atmosphere into the writing, eheheh.)
Hard stone met metallic fist as it cracked into the earth, rage increasing as it missed it’s target, the Death Gigas breathing hard of his nose and looking under narrowed white eyebrows at the female human. Moving swiftly despite it’s gargantuan size, it stepped forward with a powerful blow that would have clearly knocked the girl’s block off. However, she somehow even managed to evade that punch, leaving the metallic giant to swing at air. A sharp howl of fury rang forth from it’s broad skeletal jaw, and it lumbered forward to follow up it’s assault on the annoying young female. It moved with the speed and strength of a freight train, but was slowed as a sudden shard of ice magic lanced through the air and stuck him.
The flash of snowy white and the thrum of cold magic was the only warning the behemoth got, and his raised his arm in the air to defend itself, too big to change it’s forward momentum. Digging his heels into the cold blue stone beneath his feet, the frost struck and started freezing up his arm, causing ice damage and freezing a solid block of ice shaped around his arm. A yelp of pain was forced from his beastly jaw as the frostbite set in and assaulted his nerves, and with another sudden roar blasting forth from his lungs, pushed off from his defensive position it had hunkered down into. Closing in on the spellcaster, the horrific giant swung his ice-encased arm towards her in a slamming punch straight into her gut, the force behind his metallic arm along with the water frozen solid around it multiplying the damage used back at her. This should allow the ice to crack, if not completely shattering it, if he was successful in even landing a hit.
If not, he quickly followed up with the energy he had been struck with earlier from the lightning bolt along with his own, a violent crackle of electricity arcing from his back. He pulled his arm away from the solider as he jumped into the air, and came down upon her with a electrified Giga Dunk, one frozen hand balled into a fist into the other to deliver physical damage on wherever it struck upon her. This should break the cold casing around his limb, but if not, his metallic body conducting electricity within would protect him and more than likely melt the ice with prolonged use of his fists. Suddenly lightning struck the tower the beast had been standing on before, and a explosion of electricity surged over it, the lightning rod still intact from the piece of it having been discarded by him earlier. With a pained roar, the humongous hulk made a massive leap from his position in front of Celes, jumping to the tower and climbing up it once more. Using the lightning surging through the tower, he grasped his hand onto the lightning rod and fed off it’s energy once more, taking a ranged position from his victim as he prepared to strike her once more.

((OOC: XD Alright, I’ll do my best. Thanks for helping me out.))
Celes heard the creature’s let out a howl of agitation as its blow to her head met air. Thankful that she had moved when she did, her small victory became horror as the beast started to charge again. As it came at her with inhuman speed, Celes released her blizzard attack upon it. In response to her spell, the creature raised its arm to defend itself as it slid forward, trying to stop itself. The spell struck home causing the beast to yelp in pain as its arm froze over.
While under normal circumstance the young lady would’ve been pleased at such a successful blow, as the creature moved from a defensive position to an offensive one, Celes began regret casting the ice spell. The creature’s speed was too much for the young lady and this time, the beast was able to land a blow. As the icy fist slammed into her gut, the young lady felt the wind being knocked out of her as pain shot through ever inch of her body. The blow was powerful enough to send her flying into a tower on the opposite side of the area, they were fighting in. As she bounced off the tower and landed in a small heap on the ground, she coughed as she tried to catch her breath again. She could hear the sounds of a second attack, but luck was on her side. The first blow had knocked her out range of the second attack. Despite being lucky, Celes was in a lot of pain, but knew she had to fight on. After a few minutes of recovering, the young lady grabbed the sword she had dropped and stood up on shaky legs. As her breath came out in heavu short gasps, the pain still assaulting her from the blow, she heard an explosion of electricity hit the remainder of the tower’s rod the creature had broken earlier.
With a roar, the creature leaped onto the tower and began to charge once more in the flowing electricity. Knowing she could not afford to take another blow from the creature, Celes decided to use another tactic. Waiting for the creature to make its move, Celes began to focus her magic power on herself, charging up her Vanish spell the best she could while trying to ignore her injuries. ________________________________________________________________________ ~Cooldown~ Blizzard –0 posts. Vanish being charged.
((Note: It's not a charge. I meant she will simply use Vanish on her next turn. Sorry about that. I was really tired when I wrote this. >.<))

The attack had been successful, no recognition of satisfaction or guilt on the Death Gigas's skull of a face, just the twisted expression of pain and rage. A tormented howl erupted from between the flesh of his jaws, mixed with agony and fury, the darkness swirling around him growing more intense. Clung to the side of the tower now and charged with electric energy, the steel hulk smashed a humongous fist into his chest like a aggravated gorilla, and several white lightning bolts burst forth from his chest in the form of his Livewire attack. They blasted downwards in a uncontrollable storm, but their main target was Celes. While the female was busy trying to evade damage from the attack, Death Gigas began to descend from the tower.
He clambered down about half way, but seemed to get impatient, letting go of his grip. Instead of leaping off the tower as he did before, he landed at the base of the tower, the ground shaking once more as his massive weight collided with the earth. The earth also cracked and small fissures burst forth, but quickly crumbled into the earth as it was made solid again, Death Gigas no phased nor noticing his impact. Instead, his concentration was on the tower itself, as he surprisingly slammed into the tower with both fists of solid steel. There was the tremendous sound of a sharp crack and the long groan of alloy buckling, and suddenly the tower was being leveled and toppling like a falling tree towards the young woman amongst the lightning bolts.
There was no warning, the only noise from Death Gigas himself was the immense volume of his lungs inhaling and exhaling rapidly, and cold lifeless eyes watching painfully as a solid mass of metal potentially fell on top of the human female. Now the tower was gone as a safety lightning-rod, the immediate area suddenly grew unstable, a thrum of white noise humming through the air as thunder boomed loudly from the dark clouds overhead. The area was now prone to lightning bolts, with Celes the only one in more immediate danger, as Death Gigas could absorb electricity as his element. The ice around his arm began to melt however, and he grunted in pain as there was a piercing crackle of electricity that amplified the electricity in his body and overloaded his power source for a mere moment, forcing him to shutdown and start-up his thunder element source once more which left him immobile for a short time.

Celes's original plan had to been to use Vanish as soon as the creature came charging at her; however, what happened next threw the young lady for a loop. First the creature of darkness began howling before beating his chest with his free hand like an angry gorilla. Following this action, from his chest came an uncontrolled storm of white lightening bolts.
Forgetting her vanish spell for the moment, Celes began to dodge the lightening bolts here and there the best she could through the pain that assaulted her with each move. As she stumbled back from a bolt that landed an inch from her, she felt the earth shake for a moment and looked up to see where the creature was.
To her horror, she saw the beast slam into the tower that had been her cover from the natural lightening bolts of the area. Diving to the side to avoid being crushed by the collapsing structure, Celes hit the ground hard and rolled back onto her feet. She stood up slowly and winced as pain flooded her a from the dive. Above her the sky rumbled angrily as the sounds of white noise reached the young lady’s ears. While she didn’t understand what was going at first, a bolt of hot energy from the sky made things crystal clear as it crashed before her. Stumbling back a bit, Celes took a second to think.
The creature had knocked the tower down and as a result, it had effected the area and the natural lightening frequency within the area. While the creature didn’t have anything to fear, Celes had more to worry about. Frowning slightly at the sour turn of events, Celes placed her hand to her chest for a moment. Her hand glowed a light green hue before the energy flowed onto her body and surrounded her. The cure spell did not stop all the pain, but it took away some, allowing the young lady to concentrate once more.
Refocused, Celes held her sword out to the side slightly before she began to charge at the creature that seemed to be stunned for some odd reason. Not one to question luck, she took the opportunity while she could. ____________________________________________________ ~Cooldown~

A frenzied howl came from the beast as he watched his prey; it was hard to tell if the pained growls were because of the darkness around him causing him intense pain, the ice water overloading his circuits, or the fact the woman was dodging everything he was flinging at her. The beast slowly started stomping towards the young lady, as the tower collapsed into a pile of scrap metal, and she rolled out from underneath it. He watched as she used curative magic to heal herself, the bestial side of him recognizing this with a gut-wrenching snarl. As she came charging towards him with what seemed like a powerful Limit Break, despite the lack of punishment she had taken to gather such energy, he began to do one of two actions.
The first was as she came towards him, to get some damage done over the short distance between them, he reached both giant hands towards the wreckage of the tower. Both fists of steel began bending strip metal off the side of the tower, a large piece of sheet metal, snapping it completely off the haul. The metal piece was about as wide as Celes was tall, and as thick as one of her arms. With a grunt, the giant threw the piece of metal towards her. The metal spun and flipped through the air, making a dangerous projectile she would probably dodge.
But he was not finished with merely a distraction she could simply cut in half with her sword, while she was charging her Limit Break. The monster charged forward, crackling with that violent electric energy again, following up in the path of the projectile. Smashing both of his fists together, he literally charged towards the female human, attempting to hit her with Giga Dunk in the upper chest as she struck him. The plan was for the sheet metal to be a distraction, while the piledrive combo was the actual attack. But if the metal struck her and she somehow evaded his physical assault, that could work to the fiend's advantage as well.
There was no lateral thinking behind this aggression... from the look in his wild lifeless eyes, the human in him was far from gone.

As Celes charged, she could hear the beast howling, but she could not tell if the beast was angry or not. In any case, the beast began to make its way towards her once more. As it did this, she saw the creature take a large strip of metal off the side of the tower and flung the piece at her. As it spun and flipped through the air, Celes swung her sword out to meet the metal. With a screech and some sparks, the metal was sliced in half, bending back and flying away from the young woman, leaving her unharmed. As she continued forward, she could hear the crash of the metal slamming into the Earth somewhere behind her, but remained more focused on the beast that was now charging at her crackling with electricity.
As the creature smashed its fist together and prepared to hit her with his attack, her blade struck home allowing her to unleash her limit break Spinning Edge. In quick session, the young lady unleashed three thrusts to the creature. The three strikes followed as so: left, right, center. To finish her combo, she unleashed a spin attack upon the creature. With her limit break over, she was left open for a moment and that is when the creature’s blow made contact. The force of the blow to her upper chest sent the young lady flying back before she hit the hard earth causing her to release an involuntary yelp as pain once again assaulted her from all angles.
To make matters worse, the electricity intensified the pain as it briefly swept over her body like liquid fire causing light burns on the young lady. Celes remained down as her pounding heart and body did their best to recover from the blow. The electrical strike to the chest could’ve killed the young lady easily, but by some miracle the blow had only paralyzed the young lady for a moment. Either way the situation was not looking good. ___________________________________________________________________ ~Cooldown~

Leaving herself paralyzed would not benefit the young woman at all, but the beast was in no better off himself. As her sword Save the Queen had slashed through the sheet of metal, Death Gigas felt it slash through his left, right, and upper chest, as well as the spinning blow which hit his lower abdomen. Electricity spilled out of the gashes like crimson liquid, and the Limit Break clearly showed it's damage as it successfully hit. The metal hulk covered the open tears with one tree-trunk of a single arm, grunting in pain, and reached out to the tower alongside him to balance himself from falling over. With a loud snarl, the beast snapped off a large metal pipe from the wreckage of the tower, glowing eyes locked on the paralyzed form of the girl.
With a metal rod in the air, that was when thunder resounded throughout the plains, followed by a single flash of light.
The lighting, no longer having an earthly conduit to direct it towards since the tower's destruction, loosely snapped to earth and hit the ground between Celes and Death Gigas. A branch of electricity snapped out and struck the metal pole the advanced iron giant had been holding, conducting it and adding to the reserve of depleted energy in his body. Then, the lightning bolt was gone, leaving Death Gigas as he was before, his current form being able to absorb the element of Thunder healing his wounds. He staggered forward, and with his other arm, snapped the long metal girder in two. Now with two bludgeoning weapons, and with a sudden roar, he charged forward to finish off his opponent.
Coming with the speed of a freight train, and darkness misting around his form to make his appearance even more frightening, he barreled forward with a horizontal swing first from his right arm. The metal pole was intended to hit the lady in the left side, or her left leg followed by her right, to knock her over. Then he came down with his left arm clutching the left pole in a vertical slam. This would strike the female solider in the head, attempting to render her unconscious.
With a thunderous bellow as loud as the accompanying storm raging fiercely overhead, the Death Gigas sounded angry but also in intense pain, and within the feral instincts of the monster Vincent Valentine had only one constant thought; he did not want to be doing this at all.

Unable to move, Celes could only watch the creature's next actions. While her Limit Break had managed to do some serve damage to the creature, the damage didn’t last long enough for her to recover from the paralyzing attack. As the creature was leaning against the tower with electricity flowing from his wounds, the creature managed to snap off a large pipe from the tower before looking at her once more and raised the pipe into the air.
As the creature did this, the sky around them rumbled angrily before a single streak of light came shooting from the sky. The lightening, untamed due to the lack of a tower, snap violent between herself and the beast. As it hit the ground, a branch of electricity shot from the bolt, hitting the metal pipe within the creature’s hand. The lightening not only gave the creature more power, but healed the creature completely.
Celes tried once more to move as she saw the creature snap the pipe in two and then came charging at her like some demon from Hell as darkness flowed off it, making the creature more horrifying to behold; however, her body refused to cooperate with her leaving her with no option, but to take the next set of blows.
From her paralyzed position, she was struck in her left leg causing her body to collapse to one knee before the second blow hit her in the right side. From the right side blow, the young woman was sent tumbling away from the creature and onto her stomach. Hurting beyond belief, she raised her head slightly as she watched the beast come down upon her with a vertical blow from the left. The force of the blow caused a short burst of pain to shoot through her head before her mind began to swirl in a fog. She could hear the beast roaring from a far off distance, but then everything became silent as darkness and a deep sleep took over the young lady.
With Celes knocked out, the creature had won the battle. As the young lady remained unconscious upon the ground, a dark portal opened up and gentle pulled her end before closing, leaving the beast alone.
Celes has exited the Thread.
((Thank you love for raid. It was helpful and also helped me put Celes on a path again. Until we meet again then. ^_^))

The Lightning seemed to slow time down as the transformation of Vincent Valentine swung it's crudely-made weapon towards the mysterious woman. After the lightning flash, the metal rod swung through the air, aiming towards the woman's left leg. The pipe struck her in that leg, knocking her over, as she tumbled and fell onto her stomach. The sight seemed to make the human side of the beast see a different woman in her place, a brunette in a white coat sink to her knees and roll over. But not once, nor in his body language did the creature show any restraint or hesitation.
The woman was now on the ground, belly-side down, defenseless from a combination of paralysis and the Frankenstein-monster's first blow. The lead pipe came siling through the air in a vertical swing, coming crashing down, straight for her head to knock her out cold. Her skull could have been crushed like a paper cup, but instead the blow was so quick in it's execution and it's finish that the battle was over almost instantly. The metal monstrosity seemed to expand in muscle mass as he inhaled, and slumped slightly as he exhaled out, stepping slowly to look over his work. Unable to access the intelligence of his human host, the Gigas poked the small human girl with the pole, checking to see that she moved no more.
When she seemed to have been knocked out, the beast hunkered down over the female solider, his anger dying down gradually. A dark portal appeared suddenly, and the beast snorted and snarled defensively, wondering what this new power was. Strangely, even though the woman wasn't affiliated with the darkness, the corridor seemed to take her until her body was present no more. Alone, the abomination took a moment to register this, before it howled out painfully alongside the crash of roaring thunder overhead.
