Slowly, the darkness started to form a portal for a certain person. As this person walked out he had on a white robe, which covered his entire appearance. Besides seeing only his white robe, a person could see bits of his long shaggy hair from the front. This man is known as the White Robed Man. He had tried to form some kind of party to aid him in this fight.
Unfortunately, only one person had responded to him. Was the darkness really started to die off like that? Slightly his head moved to the left and then to the right. Instantly, he noticed he was on the smaller island. Not to far away from him was the hidden cave.
Un-doubtfully, the warriors of the light were going to swarm this area now. It was most unfortunate nothing could be fair anymore. Yet, this is a war and there will be only one victor. Regardless if he looses or not, Shin must try his best to win. Noctis is his only real opponent to beat. The WRM remembers the last time they had fought, was at Noctis castle.
They were both equally matched, until his opponent had gotten a few ‘lucky’ hits in. Nevertheless, this battle will only make him grow stronger. The balance between the darkness and light is totally off. As the light gets stronger the darkness weakens. While he had the chance, Shin walked near the short and just looked out at the horizon.
He could hear the cool, crisp waves collapsing over each other. It was just en endless cycle the water was going to make. Until this fight would actually begin, the WRM was simply going to reserve all his emotions for the fight.

What was it about this island that attracted the bad guys like swarming bugs to be stomped?
It must have been the Light of this place, it's glow, it's warmth. The madman and madwomen hidden in the darkness must have hated it, loathed the scorching light that burned them, looking to stomp out the luminescent fire like any hero would flock to a world teaming with darkness. But this world had it's own special, natural light that was obvious to any that entered the world, unlike any other, a unspoiled shine of innocence as if created from the hearts of the children that called this world their own. Returning from other worlds back to this one, one of the many children that grew up on this world was reminded of this light, and how it was threatened to be extinguished by the engulfing darkness he had been warned about.
Brown spiky hair bobbed up and down as yellow and black sneakers squeaked their way over the hot sand, as Sora ran up the beach on his island that the villains usually liked to appear and gather, determination etched into his furrowed brow and heavy breaths over his pacing heart. Whoever showed up on his island and expected to take it for themselves, smothering it in darkness to destroy and pollute it's naturally beautiful landscape, was going to get a good wailing upside the head with his Kingdom Key and then some. The Light this island possessed was for everybody, even for those hiding in the Darkness, choosing to cling to it to veil their petty schemes instead of embracing both like Riku had. His best friend crossed his mind for a short moment, if all of the users of darkness could be like Riku, the worlds could be a better place in absolute harmony. He thought of his other friends as well, and wondered where they were too, hoping for their safety and freedom amongst the worlds outside this one as he prepared to risk his own for this sanctuary for them to return to.
Sprinting up the beach from the docks, he suddenly saw a lone figure emerge from near the Secret Cave towards the shoreline, a shadow outlined against the bright sunlight shining down from above. As the Keyblade Master in-training slowed down in his footsteps, squinting through the sunlight, he could see the mysterious figure was a man in a hooded cloak. A white cloak, but a hooded cloak none the less, and regardless of what the color stood for the visage remained the same. Xehanort, Xemnas, the Organization... anyone who veiled their face from the public eye were never far from messing with the worlds. The cowardice made Sora angry from his experience with enigmatic silhouettes covering their face, and Sora began increasing the pace in his step, a flash of light appearing in his hand as he summoned his keyblade.
"Out with it, kook! Veiling your face is really starting to get old!" he growled to alert his presence suddenly, feeling the anger that was once the Roxas side of him start to flare up, holding the Kingdom Key in both hands as he dragged it's tip alongside him in the sand. Seconds later, he slashed the keyblade towards him, but in a mock blow not intended to hit the man in white but throw sand into his face from the tip of the weapon. While the man was distracted with that, he strafed around the man to come in from a different angle from behind him, opening with Sliding Dash, closing the distance to his foe to slash at him and force him backwards into the crashing waves.
This was his island. He was not going to let some Xehanort-wannabe from getting the upper hand and taking his island back from him again.

He would never get tired of these shores.
The endless tranquility, the haunting yet soothing waves, the lush foliage and the tropical freedom he had long been ignorant to. How could he have been bored with all of this, been dissatisfied and went off for uncharted waters? There were uncountable worlds out there, an expanse of infinite possibilities that would take lifetimes to chart and explore. Maybe when he was younger, less cynical, he would have jumped at the chance to touch what was beyond that horizon. There were many who would have killed for the chance to escape their so-called prison. Those easily tired and far too selfish of their lot and the good grace that favored them. He had lived a legion of dreams and nightmares, seen the depths of the worlds and the hearts of people. There were experiences he cherished but many he would want to never live through again. All of it had shaped him into the person he now was. He was almost ready to let go and just rest in the peace that was his home
But darkness never lets go. Even after it has failed again and again, when it was at the cusp of defeat, it was still capable of a last gasp. Riku knew all too well that while the darkness will never fully go away and that there will always be those who would seek to use it to satisfy their own greed and ego. They seek to snuff out light out of fear or pettiness and think themselves gods above men. It was absurd that so many would be so blind to the evils eating away at their heart but of course, it as well-travelled ground for the young Keyblade Wielder. He knew that people like this had two choices. They can wallow back in the darkness or try to fight their way to a better future.
Unfortunately for this latest batch of villains and rogues, Riku was in a particularly uncharitable mood.
Destiny Islands, as always, was pristine and perfect, a jewel of light in a sea of darkness. Is that why so many would seek to take it? Are they so jealous of the light that they would seek to destroy the peace of others? They were certainly tenacious given that they had resorted to basically throwing warm bodies on to the islands and hoping that they stick.
When will they learn that there will always be someone to throw them out once more?
Riku did not need a preamble or a grand entrance. That was for idiots looking to lose a fight. Sora had already begun the attack, first always when his home is threatened. Riku felt his heart twist and for a moment, he saw that remnant’s mocking sneer. No, that was better discussed after battle has passed. He had seen this white-robed man appear from the darkness but Sora had beaten him to the punch. Well, that did that not mean he will opt out. As Sora’s Sliding Dash closed in, Riku materialized out of the air and landed next to Sora, Way to the Dawn clutched tightly in his right and a glowing ball of darkness in his left. “You’re not welcome,” Riku sneered and threw the ball of Dark Firaga with all the force he could muster.

Within the Corridors a man was watching the portal appear in Destiny Islands. From it coming the White Robed Man. He had noticed his presence, his Darkness. Darkness. A concept he wondered about many times. Not only people carried Light of Darkness, even inanimate things and even worlds. However, within the Darkness he had heard of worlds having 'hearts', a concept he could not understand.
His gaze went back at the hooded man that was wandering about from the cave to the beach. This world seemed to carry the Light, which made the man within the Darkness wonder what would happen if that Light was taken away. Opening it up for Darkness? Or will it break apart and vanish like the Heartless? They fed his curiosity, and brought many new questions with it. Whether worlds became Heartless as well or if they would simply be gone forever.
The man's gaze then went to a boy that came running, this one carried the Light. A meeting between Light and Darkness, he thought for a moment and wondered what would unfold, but what then happened made him raise an eyebrow as the boy went immediately in attack and shouted angered at the man. With a sight, he guessed the boy already knew the man and when another boy appeared and attacked, he no longer bothered with it at all.
Apparently the hooded man was not welcome. Who cares? The man finally stepped out of the Corridors, opening one at the tree house and walked out while watching the three people. Let's throw in some crazy stuff, he thought and in his hand as a shadow appeared the ghostly gun he had seen before. He let out a gun fire without exactly aiming, shooting pretty much ten bullets randomly in the three guys' position. He had totally no aim whatsoever.

It didn't feel that odd to be back on the islands with Sora, even though it was a combat situation. Sora and Riku wouldn't've thought twice about it once they'd landed at home, but before they arrived the beach air had been thick with tension. The thought of the islands lingered in Donald's head alongside the troubled look on Goofy's face with that one finger raised to his lip, his own moody pacing, the King's slowly faltering words of consolation, and the silent figure of Kairi standing by the water's edge. But at the same time it linked back to that memory of the unbridled joy of seeing Sora back--not victorious, who cared if he'd won as long as he was back, with Riku at his side, as promised.
Destiny Islands had been a target of the darkness for some time, Donald knew that much--and even if it wasn't the Light's most important stronghold, Donald would choose few other places to defend with the darkness closing in on all sides. If nothing else, this was the place most important to Sora. And even if they lost Disney Castle or Radiant Garden or the islands themselves, the Light could not afford to lose Sora.
Webbed feet sent sand up in awkward sprays where they didn't slap wetly against the damp water's edge, and Donald's zippered hat bounced dangerously on his head in the run at Sora's heels. Much like it, the Comet Staff always looked like it was about to topple from his hand, but never quite did. He met Sora's realization with a quack of surprise, spotting the white-robed stranger and honestly not sure what to make of it. "Orghanezayshen XIII?!" Sora must've thought the same thing, since he called the stranger on his hidden face and took off. Donald followed after a beat, pleasantly surprised to see Riku join them--Sora's best friend had always been hard to trust, but Sora's boundless faith in him made Donald secure--and just when he was about to round this off with a well-placed fire spell he felt that exact element catch him right in the foot.
"OWCHH!" Nearly tripping, stumbling to a stop, and hopping on his good foot while he gripped the injured one all did nothing to improve Donald's pain or spirits. Where in the heck had that come from?! He scanned the beach amidst angry mutters and through a glare, catching movement out of the corner of his eye that made him see the ragamuffin shooting at them. At first he thought it might be someone from the islands (in which case why were they attacking and they deserved a hunk of ice to the face anyway), but that weapon and those Heartless eyes tipped him off. That kid was high up, but just close enough that Donald had a better chance of hitting him with something nearby than ranged. For the moment he set his foot down--cure spell on that if it got to be a problem later, but for now he could still cast and one of the others was more likely to get hit--and raised the Comet Staff. "ZHUNDAH!" he yelled scratchily, striking with a quick series of bolts targeted to Whatever's position.

There was never a question in Goofy's mind to follow his friends to Destiny Islands to assist in its defense.
It was important to Sora and his friends for obvious reasons, but there were other people there who needed to be protected. And with this guy coming in and trying to muck up the world, Goofy definitely wanted to help anyone in need; it was reason alone for the knight to eagerly come along into battle with Sora, Riku, and Donald.
The white robed man was the first to make his appearance to them, and Goofy stood back for the moment. If anything, rushing into a fight was not going to make things any better, especially if they underestimated the man. And Goofy was sure if this robed man was waltzing around and initiating an attack that he wasn't exactly like one of those little Heartless that he had fought time and time again. Sora was first to rush in with an attack on the man, followed by Riku. He stood back still, readying his shield to jump right into the battle and help.
However, what came before Goofy could launch into a spin was a flurry of quacks and gun report all around him. Goofy was quick to act, but not quick enough to avoid getting clipped on his arm as he scrambled to bring his shield up to protect his head. He let out a yelp as he felt the wound on his arm and briefly looked down at the torn sleeve of his jacket. After all, there were certain kinds of conks to the head he could take and others he couldn't--and this was definitely one of the kinds he couldn‘t. He glanced to Donald next, seeing him nursing his foot before tracking his shorter comrade's line of vision.
"Gawrsh, you could really hurt someone with one of those!" he called out, inching closer to the mallard mage to provide cover with his shield. However, it took him a moment to recognize the citrine glow of yellow in the messy fellow's eyes as being the unmistakably hollow gaze of a Heartless. He swallowed before giving another glance to Donald just to make sure he was going to be alright. Of course, when Donald rattled off his powerful lightning spell, he was sure his injury could wait for a moment.
His shield remained raised as he looked back to Sora and Riku to see how they were fairing in their own battle before looking back up at the gun-toting guy. He needed to go up and take care of this guy so they wouldn't get hit in the back while fighting the other guy. He knew that getting up there and splitting up with Donald might not be the best thing for him to do; going uphill seemed really kind of dangerous. So for the time being, Goofy steeled himself and kept the shield up over his and Donald's heads.

It’d been awhile since Sabin had visited anywhere this pristine. He now found himself on the shores of a small island, again with no clue as to how he got here. Again, he’d fallen asleep in another world to awaken in a new one, but he liked this one, so he didn’t care as much. The climate was perfect, with a Fahrenheit temperature in the upper seventies, maybe lower eighties. Combined with the cool sea breeze, it made for the perfect climate for Sabin to try to sleep once again. He passed out in a small wooden cabin atop a massive tree.
Of course his slumber didn’t last long, maybe an hour at the most. He awoke to hear a hail of gunfire, one of which barely missed his head. The bear rolled his way to an upright position to see that the man firing the gun was right in front of him. His brother, Edgar had well over twice the aim that this fool had, but his brother wouldn’t have tried to shoot him.
After the next moment, Sabin didn’t think he was the only one to be on the receiving end of a bullet. A barrage of lightning arrows found their way towards the yellow-eyed man. Sabin didn’t waste another second, as the power of wind whipped itself around his hands. With two massive swings, he released two powerful shockwaves of wind towards the enemy. This was one of Duncan’s famous Blitz techniques, and a favorite of Sabin’s when the time called for a surprise attack. That favorable power with wind is, for the most part, its silent. Such was the power of Sabin’s Razor Gale
Knowing that it was impossible for him to return to sleep, he hopped out the cabin window below to see five more fighters had gathered themselves, ready for combat or already deep in the midst of combat. Two were fighters holding key-like weapons attacking a third man, who shrouded himself in a white robe. The next two fighters were the cause of one of Sabin’s signature fits of booming laughter. A duck and a dog-man-thing had most likely been the cause of the Thunder attack, but which was it. If Sabin were Setzer he’d bet money on the duck, because somehow the dog-man-thing didn’t look smart enough to cast any magic. Hell, he barely looked like he could stand on his own two feet. Of course that’s how Umaro always looked to him too, and he proved to be a valuable asset to the Returners in the final battle against Kefka.
The two boys looked like they’d been in a battle before, especially the silver haired kid. Sabin was willing to bet this wasn’t their first time around the block. The younger kid almost looked innocent to his eyes, but the fashion in which he wielded that key made Sabin think he too had been in a battle or two before. That left the physical titan with an ultimatum, which duo should he aide, or should he just rotate back and forth beating on both of the villains?
”Hope you guys have room on your team for an overgrown meathead…”[/b]
He’d let the Esper in his pocket decide, that was Sabin’s final answer. He held the mysterious gem to the sky for a brief moment before a neon green glow emitted itself from the crystal’s interior. Sabin knew that the Magicite was summoning a creature; actually it was his favorite amongst all the Espers. In the sand before him, a bipedal cactus burst through the ground with an actual mouth and eyes. His appendages all curved themselves at different ninety-degree angles.
Watch out! This might sting![/b]
Cactuar[/color] bounced twice before he took aim at the man in the white robe. Shifting his body, he began to fire exactly one thousand needles at the White Robed Man. Cactuar must have been feeling lazy today, because he usually decided to go for the more grand Ten Thousand Needles when he was faced with conditions close to that of a desert. After the technique, the bouncing cactus vanished in a flash of the same neon-green light. The cactus decided it, Sabin would lend a hand to the two boys first, and he’d switch opponents should the duck and the man-dog need a hand.

While watching the beauty of this world, he herd foot steps getting closer and closer. So, he had to fight them now? It was such a shame that he could not stand here and watch the waves a bit longer. In a moments notice, two holy crests formed underneath his palms. These two smaller crests were going to act as his own unique weapon. As Shin herd some kind of weapon coming down on him, he easily collided his holy crest in to the Kingdom Key.
However, it only took moments before he was staggering backwards from Soras Sliding Dash ability. Slowly, he turned around and saw more heroes of light appear for the battle. Shin had no time to worry about the slight pain he felt in his legs from the attack. Besides, he was used to pain and suffering. If these pathetic heroes wanted to beat him, they need to try harder. The moment the Dark Firaga was launched, Shin turned his body so it would only hit his back.
Now, he could have easily dodged the attack. Though, he wanted to at least let them get a few hits in, before he wipes the floor with these little kiddies. The black fire made a hole in his white robe, only showing his white shirt underneath. Before he could do anything another man came and launched a thousand needles at him. Instantly, he activated his Holy Barrier to completely null the thousand needle attack.
Once his opponents attack had finished the barrier had slowly vanished. “Just as I thought, the heroes of light can only attack in groups.” Soon Shin had let out a laugh as his white robed vanished in a white flame. Upon this happening it revealed his long brown shaggy hair. Now his opponents could see his near complete white attire, which consisted of a white shirt, white baggy pants and white shoes.
Once more, he turned around allowing his opponents to see his face this time. The first thing, they would notice is his bright sky blue eyes. “My turn.” he said softly. Soon a medium sized holy crest appeared behind and to the side of Sora. While, One appeared behind Riku and another behind Sabin. With all of them in place, all four holy crests shot out powerful holy rays towards the men. Thanks to his teammate, he was distracting the duck and the dog from making any attacks on him. ------------------- Holy Barrier - 4 Cool Down Holy Crests : Small - 4 uses left Medium - 0 Uses left 2 Cool down Large - 4 uses left

Sure that Donald and Goofy were right behind him after they had arrived on the shore that felt heavy with malice, the younger man that was raised on this very island watched as he slid across the sand anticipating for the blunt end of his silver and gold Kingdom Key to impact into the white-robbed figure's side, but he should have known it couldn't have been that easy. Instead his keyblade impacted into a white disk that was summoned into the mysterious stranger's hand, his keyblade bouncing off it's glowing surface as he heard Donald's exclamation of their shared belief it was a new Organization member, his brunette eyebrows furrowing intensely in concentration and concern. If this wasa member of Organization XIII, they had some holy power over light or something, just like his Nobody Roxas was, but there was no time to split hairs. He pulled his keyblade back in both hands before him as he staggered back slightly to recover, resuming a defensive stance quickly, before resuming a another attack. Before he could pull off another combo though and before the other man could hit him, a sudden familiar presence appeared out of nowhere and launched a dark fireball into the man's back, but Sora didn't even need to glance sideways before he recognized that an old friend had finally returned home.
"Riku!"
He had not seen his best friend for a very long time, but of course he shouldn't have been so surprised to see him after he had taken a long period of absence, as this by far had not been the first time. Throughout his adventures Riku had gone missing since his world first fell to darkness, vanishing in that same darkness and Sora inadvertently carrying Kairi within his heart along with the Kingdom Key meant for Riku. He had popped up every now and again in the worlds becoming a little mysterious and darker each time, until the point the spiky-haired kid recognized Riku was going against his better nature which evolved drastically into fighting him one-on-one over Kairi's heart and eventually, his own ensnared by Ansem possessing him. Xehanort's Heartless, he reminded himself his true name was - he had been the cause of him having to eventually fight him while he wore Riku's body like a suit. When Sora had no choice to defeat him and watched as Riku closed the door of Kingdom Hearts behind him, it was no wonder the next time he saw him he had sunk to his knees and burst down in tears from all the guilt he had built up inside him, from scorching him into his own darkness that it had permanently scarred him so.
Kairi he had seen off safely between that time and his reunion with her in the Castle That Never Was only added to the shame felt upon his heart as he tried to keep himself together, but even she would never understand the pain he felt at having to turn against his friend... and he hoped she never would.
There would be time to play catch-up later, right now in that split second Sora had reminisced the past and felt himself mature that he could keep a straight face this time, a gunshot whizzing past his head snapped him out of his thoughts followed by crashes of thunder and Goofy hollering somewhere behind him. Sora whipped his head around from Riku to the dark figure taking potshots at them from the treehouse - their treehouse... - at the same time he heard equally thunderous laughter from a burly man that hopped out of it. Another of the enemy? Thankfully not, as the man thrusted a crystal that resembled the one Sora received from the Struggle trophy to the sky and called from out of the sand a living cactus, which shot thousands of needles towards their main antagonist in ivory robes. It took another few seconds to register all of this as the battle intensified in speed, along with the subconscious recognition the sniper in the treetops with that black physique and amber eyes was a Heartless, before Sora focused his attention back on the white Organization member who instantly blocked the needles with some sort of barrier of light.
Even if Riku's had been the only one out of them all who had actually landed a hit... it was good to have friends.
"Don't mind at all! Looks like us heroes aren't the only ones who have friends, but this is our island, so we'll beat you anyway!" he exclaimed jubilantly, answering both the bear of a man and the white-hooded one, the latter revealing his face and showing his youth underneath long shoulder-length hair. The visage triggered a far-off distant memory of someone he felt looked similar, and for some reason it was associated with the smell of roses, but he couldn't quite put a finger on the facial features much less outside a dream where he remembered them from. The man boldly announced it was his turn, prompting Sora to pay attention as he maintained his natural defensive posture, but even he wasn't ready for the new power that came from this unwelcome visitor. White disks whirled out from his hands and surrounded the young man brandishing the Kingdom Key to his side and back, white rays of light shooting out of the pair, both of them striking Sora in the shoulder and the back. While the one that burst into his pauldron armor hurt less, the one exploding into his back racked his body with intense pain and caused him to stagger forward slightly, forcing him let go of his keyblade with one hand and spreading his legs apart even further to maintain his balance as he endured the hit.
Hot flashes of white agony laced through his nervous system, but when their intensity subsided over a further moment and he unclenched his teeth, Sora separated them as he breathed in deeply while using the same provocation to continue his attack, still near the enemy and convinced the white disks that had attacked him and Riku would not protect the man this time. He went into a simple Ground Combo, feigning a diagonal slash towards the man's lower abdomen, then pressed the assault more seriously as he shoved the man with the blunt of it's tip before making a one-two-three combination slashing at first his left arm, then his right shoulder, followed by his upper chest. These blows had only been a distraction and it didn't matter if they accumulated into damage or not, trusting that Riku had been able to take care of himself as always, the Key that connected everyone jumped backwards into the air and thrust his weapon's tip into the ground instantaneously in initiating Finishing Leap to cause a huge explosion upon contact with the shoreline. This technique if it was successful since it was under the White Robbed Man's feet, the resulting blast would throw the man up into the air where both the antagonist and Riku could attack from, and even if he somehow managed to avoid the wide area of effect it would force him either into the water straight behind him or the sand which had been blasted upwards into a stormy cloud. Sora landed from finishing performing the ability into this very veil of dust, setting up the intruder for Riku to make his aggressive assault with co-ordinated teamwork, looking for their foe as he prepared to follow after him in his shift from earth to air.
"Who're you!? Out with it, Nobody!" --- Slide Dash: One-turn cooldown. Finishing Leap: Three-turn cooldown.

Fighting, fighting and more fighting. It never really ends.
If Riku had taken a trip down memory lane, he would have found a great deal of swordplay, a generous amount of battles and far too many brushes with death for any normal life. Then again he had never hoped for a normal life. He had never wanted to grow old and relive a lifetime of regrets, staring into an endless shifting ocean and cursing the waves. The life he had envisioned would not be confined by a sea; it was to be writ in the stars and path he would carve out for himself. He was better than sandy rocks on some dull, never ending sea. He was going to prove it by becoming stronger than anyone and becoming better than where we came from. Destiny Islands was just a beginning and Riku will chart his ending far away beyond the stars.
If he could, Riku would like to choke the life out of his younger self.
He had many regrets. He could rhapsodize about them till his throat tried to kill himself but they will stay with him, unforgiven because he didn’t have the guts to forgive himself. But one thing he would never regret was finding the rest of the world. Who knows what could have happened if three foolish kids had paddled out to the horizon in their flimsy, makeshift raft? His world destroyed, his life thrust into the hands of a mad witch and an even madder spirit, his friends endangered by his foolishness, those he saved for his deepest nightmares. Stepping through the door, that was his sweetest dream and darkest despair. He would never be the person he had become if he had chosen to let the door close but his friends would never have been ruined if he had chosen to stay. Everything that had transpired, every blow and indignity suffered, they were just penance for all he has wrought.
Perhaps that’s why he fights. Not to right old wrongs but to make sure that no wrong will ever happen to those he held dearest.
Riku did not know who this white-robed stranger was and for the moment, he did not care. Even if the Organization had finally realized that the fad for black leather had passed, Riku did not sense that utter sense of wrong that he sensed from Nobodies. This man wasn’t an anomaly, just another pawn too overcome with darkness. But combat draws more just as a corpse draws vultures and soon, Riku felt a sharp influx of darkness long associated with the Heartless. Gunshots rained the air and Riku’s first thought leapt to Sora, only to find him uninjured. From the distance, he saw the ungainly but comfortingly familiar forms of Donald and Goofy engage the Heartless with courage and gusto. A burly man emerged from their cabin, which rankled Riku’s sensibilities for a moment until he summoned a green cactus which proceeded to unload a hail of needles at their adversary. “There’s always room for more,” he murmured, not exactly elated that this mysterious man in white had deflected their attacks.
Why do villains love to talk so much? By the time his grandstanding was over, Riku had noticed the holy crest forming behind him. Having no room to dodge, Riku instead braced Way to the Dawn and reached out a hand, creating a Dark Shield. Light battered against darkness and Riku tried to hold on, pushing against the blast with effort. The force was too much and Riku found himself flying into the air and lading heavily on the ground, right behind their enemy. Muscles spasmed and skin cracked against soft ground but Riku quickly got back to his feet not wanting to lose momentum. He knew the effectiveness of always being in control and his recent battles served to bludgeon that lesson into his head. Sora had finished his combo attempt and now it was his turn. Running forward as the fires of darkness coated his Keyblade, Riku delivered a forward slash before flipping backwards and throwing it at that incredibly noticeable white robe with a Barrage of fire and blade, landing on his feet.
“He’s not a Nobody, Sora! Just another pawn of darkness.”

Whatever didn’t exactly look strange at the duck that appeared and got hit by one of his bullets. The dog neither made him look up when he appeared and started to block some bullets from his crazy barrage. His concentration was now on this strange duo and he thought he could better bother himself with these two than see how he could aid his ally. Especially since he was certain that Shin was better able to defend himself than he was. The dog called out how he could hurt someone with the bullets, “of course,” he replied in a bored tone.
The duck’s glare changed into bolts of lightning as he used some sort of spell. The man had noticed the staff, so he was certain that the duck was some sort of spellcaster while the dog wielded a shield, so he thought of him as a defender. Perhaps a duo that worked well together, one showering spells while the other made certain the first would not get beaten. Spellcasters were more than once weak and defenders were the hardest to get through.
When the bolts came in his way, in his eye corner he had noticed he had almost hit another person that he had not seen yet. Some man which he ignored for now as he attempted to dodge the bolts that came his way. Not with great success as some bolts hit his body, so he tried to duck away instead, able to evade some. Afterwards he attempted another barrage before he got hit... by something he was unsure of. It seemed to be the wind or something and he saw the man had done something when he was launched into the treehouse and against the wall there.
“Ughh...” At least he had held his grip on the gun, so he wouldn’t be weaponless. When getting up, he was certain the other might come his way, so he started to shoot at the door opening while he walked to get outside. Just releasing more bullets.

Donald was so focused on the Heartless, spitefully glad that he was doing some damage in turn, that when the imposing stranger joined them from the cabin he had to pull a double take. That booming laughter was anything but comforting, too, but from the look of things he'd sent the Heartless flying with another magic-based attack. Donald looked to Goofy, stymied. That wasn't anyone he recognized from their travels, so maybe Goofy had run into him on one of the few missions he took apart from Donald. More likely, knowing Sora, this was a friend of his--and even if that wasn't the case the stranger made his position clear with his next attack.
So, first shrugging in bewildered acceptance, Donald turned his attentions back to their targets. Sora and Riku and from the look of it their cheerful new ally had the cloaked guy on the ropes, so for the time being Donald would focus on the Heartless. The gunfire from above wasn't aimed at anywhere in particular and couldn't really hit them at that angle without going through the outcropping wood path, so while they had a minute Donald cast MP Haste to buffer his arsenal and took off towards the ladder. "Kham on, Goofhee!" By the time they got to the top Whatever may very well have jumped down, but as long as neither Donald nor Goofy could do a whole lot at that distance he didn't see much of an alternative besides chasing the kid. If they could corner him in the treehouse it'd be over, and they'd still be close enough to cure Sora and Riku as needed.
A powerful twinge shot up Donald's foot that only ebbed every other step, but he could favor it on the way up the ladder and it didn't slow him down. If any other bullets found their mark, he'd definitely have to spend some magic--but he really didn't want to have to do that while his magic was so ready and humming at his fingertips. Feathertips. Things. For the time being, he'd rather count on Goofy to be there with his shield.

In all of the excitement, Goofy sure was happy to see the really muscular man come in from out of nowhere to help with the fighting. He watched him as he started to deal a rather powerful blow to the disheveled guy before turning toward them. Despite the situation, a grin spread right across Goofy's face with an even greater sense of determination and thankfulness for the distraction. And with the way the man spoke, he was positive that this man with the funny-looking cactus thing was going to be of help. Of course, the kajillion needles blasted toward them were an issue, but at least they didn't hit him like the scruffy man's gun did.
"It's great to have you on our side!" he called out to the cactus user. However, even if he was a friendly sort, Goofy knew better than to start chatting away on a battlefield.
However, what he saw appear behind the man almost made him jump with surprise. The holy sigil appeared behind him in a bright display, and by the looks of things to him, seeing such a thing was not a good thing at all. "Hey, mister, there's a big white disc thing behind you!" Goofy said, cringing for a second as he lifted his injured arm up to his mouth to call out to the new ally.
The gunfire continued, but Goofy was prepared now that he saw the target and could provide cover for Donald. He glanced down and saw Donald closing in on the Heartless above them, and he started to move to continue to provide cover for his avian buddy. Goofy glanced over his shoulder one last time to Sora and the white-robed man before turning to keep up with Donald again. Taking care of this fella would help out Sora, and as far as Goofy could tell, he only had a gun. He continued to provide cover for Donald, even when they were stopped for a second.
"Let me go ahead of ya, Donald!" Goofy said, already stepping forward to take to the ladder for his friend. It made perfect sense to him: he had a shield, Donald did not. However, as he gripped the rungs of the ladder, he could not exactly keep his shield up over his head until he reached the top. The shield went back up to defend as soon as he was on two feet again, providing more time and protection for his mage friend.
