Why did I agree on coming here again? Vargas questioned himself as he walked through the street. He stopped when he came out on the marketplace, there he took a look at the shops. Few people were walking around as the martial artist was taking his 'tour' through the city. It was already evening, so he wasn't expecting that many, but it seemed boring without having a crowd. Meanwhile he took a look at the shops in the place, one was obviously a weapon shop from the sign with the sword, shield and staff, but Vargas didn't use weapons. Another appeared to be a clothing shop and next to that had at least a normal sign with letters on it: 'Accessary'.
Still none of it was really what Vargas was looking for, but he wasn't too sure what he was exactly looking for either. "Where's that silver-haired kid?" He asked out loud, rather pissed with being there alone at the moment. He was certain that the guy was somewhere near. The people that heard him was looking strange at him, but with one stare Vargas quickly got them moving.
He hoped this was all worth his time. If I could just find Sabin, he thought to himself as he looked around in search for anyone that he knew, but only strangers. All probably civilians that had no clue on what was going on, doesn't matter. The guy walked back towards the Borough, but halted as he looked at the area around him, it seemed more fitting to fight there. Maybe if the opponents he would get were too weak, they could go to a shop and get some gear that made them tougher. Trashing some shops in the progress wouldn't matter to him.

Though the world belonged to the Light and was considered by many to be the Light's stronghold in this war, a powerful Darkness quickly made it's presence know when a dark portal opened upon the roof of the weapons shop, swirling and howling as it remained open for a few seconds. A man with shoulder length silver hair and wearing tight leather garments emerged from the portal, which closed behind him after he was fully through. The clank of a scabbard rattled against the back of his thigh as he took a couple of steps forwards, perching himself upon the edge of the roof where he glanced down at the sight before him. Turquoise eyes narrowed dangerously at the large, shirtless man standing down below. Truth be told that the man known as Kadaj was still feeling pretty bitter after having lost Disney Castle to that idiotic key swinging brat. But, what was to be expected? Kadaj wasn't on Sephiroth's level of fighting and should have expected to loose to that stupid brown haired fool.
No! What was he thinking? Comparing himself to Sephiroth of all people!?!? Kadaj wasn't anything like that man, at least to himself and his brothers anyway. The rest of the world judged on appearances and that was what made teaching people a lesson all the much sweeter. But how did he lose in the last fight? It didn't make any sense and due to him... being weak... he lost the castle. The silver-haired Remnant's leather bound gloves clenched into tight fists as he continued to stare at the blue-haired man down in the marketplace of Radiant Garden, the urge to jump down and slice him in half growing greater and greater. ~Calm yourself...~ He thought to himself as he closed his eyes and forced himself to take a couple of deep breaths, regaining control. ~This guy is part of the plan. The others shall come and while all focus is on Kingdom Hearts, this world shall crumble under my might!~ A smirk now appeared upon his lips, followed by the Remnant youth relaxing his hands and folding his arms across one another over his chest.
Hearing the man down below mutter something about a 'silver-haired kid', Kadaj just smirked and cleared his throat. "It won't take long for the Light to detect my presence in this world. You'd ought to take a look around for the enemy before wondering where I am." Kadaj said out loud, smirking wildly at the man below him. There would be no mistakes this time. No slip ups. No excuses. The silver-haired youth would pour every last ounce of his strength into his Souba, rendering anyone who steps before him asunder. The Light took the Dark's stronghold. Lets see how they like it happening to them!! Jumping down from the rooftop, Kadaj landed gracefully before standing up straight and walking up towards Vargas, looking up at him due to his massive size. He seemed strong, which was good. Valeruis proved to be a disappointment. Perhaps he was still tired from the first part of the battle in Disney Castle? Maybe he just wasn't a match for the Mouse King... Pffff... The Remnant had fought the Mouse before and beaten him. How could a famed 'Human Heartless' not do the same? Over confidence was a warriors downfall. Thinking about that, Kadaj wondered if this big guy before him would suffer the same fate?

With all of Gaia still under the grip of darkness, Zidane couldn't afford to stay away for long. He'd originally thought that, with the darkness oozing into every crevice back there, that he'd need information just as foreign as the Heartless in order to defeat them. But in retrospect it seemed pretty straightforward. Even the Heartless came with leaders, so defeating them would resolve the situation at home and then he could concentrate on finding a permanent solution.
If he could afford to beat himself up for the loss then he'd do that, but that Heartless guy had done plenty. Potions had mostly taken care of the burns on his legs, but he kept forgetting not to use his tail so much until it stopped lighting up with every daredevil mistake so he'd bandaged it mostly as a reminder. Plus, it wasn't the loss that mattered but the eventual victory, and he'd have all his friends believing that too if they were here. He should've looked to them for help, but Zidane didn't always think of assistance when he was already on the scene. It wasn't pride--well, most of the time, depending on whether a pretty girl Dagger was there--but Zidane always believed he could make it because he had to, and for no other reason. Getting proved wrong only told him to come at the problem from another angle.
Meantime, the recoil sent him offworld again, in part from giving chase. He'd gotten lucky there; diving through a Heartless portal had been reckless and made his chest feel like it might crack from pressure, and collapsing onto the cobblestone in the aftermath hadn't been the desired outcome, but he'd gotten rescued by a few well-meaning Moogles that he figured were Eiko's friends at first. With Dagger and Steiner and Beatrix holding down the fort at Alexandria there was at least one haven for all the refugees, so while he tracked down either the Heartless leader or a ship to get back he could afford to recover.
It was while he was haggling for blocks that he heard a sound from behind that made him whirl, tail arched, to spot the portal atop the shop across from him. The blank stare and cold sweat he saw on the attendant behind him meant the place was going to fly into a panic any second, and Zidane knew without having to be told what that meant. "Forget it and get somewhere safe!" Zidane did the same, leaving the money behind--dammit, maybe he'd just have to swipe a few--and drawing his daggers at a run. From the looks of things, the dark guy had a friend, and for a fleeting second an uncomfortable twist in his chest asked Am I really up for this?
"Hey scumbag! What's your hurry?"
Whatever they were up to, if they really were allies, Zidane would have them focus on him and not the innocents around him.

[OOC: -is trying to put as much muse forward as he can- I'm rather dry. @_@;; Sowwy~ Hope you don't hate me... I'll do better next time! Next post!]
Vargas watched the one appear and speak. It sounded all like nonsense to him and he didn't even bother trying to listen to what the guy had to say. Instead he turned towards another source of sound, which spoke afterwards. Another kid, was all he thought for a moment, but remembering whom would help, this kid was not one of them. And he was clearly trying to annoy them.
"Hurry? You!" He started to move in Zidane's direction, "once I get there, you'll be in a world of pain!" This brat was really unlucky to meet me here, he thought annoyed while having been annoyed for some time already. He wasn't planning to use any special techniques yet, but as he ran in Zidane's direction, he attempted a blow right in the guy's face.

It seemed as though she was always fighting.
Every new world led to a new battle, and every battle led to more enemies.
When you are a Turk, the last thing you need is enemies.
Helen sighed and stretched, feeling her spine pop pleasantly. It seemed something of an argument had begun. With a weary grunt, she rolled herself onto her stomach and peered at the streets below. She vaguely remembered clambering up onto the roof to chase a heartless that had stolen her materia, and she must have dozed off afterward.
"Hey! You three! Wanna take it down a notch?!" and... then one of the three attacked. She sighed and stood. "Really? You'll start a fight in public?" she quickly dropped to the ground and only narrowly stopped herself from breaking up the beginnings of the fight when she noticed exactly who was there.
"You have GOT to be kidding me."
Of course, the remnant would be here.
[OoC: Guh, I know this was an epic fail... Sorry ^^;]

{I apologise if this post is of a poor quality. I'm still sick, but I've wanted to reply here for a long time and I want to do so before I get kicked. So, here we go! (in b4 this is the best post I've ever done aha)}
He had been wandering, his decrepit mind fraying and tangling as desperation and impulse made themselves kings of his heart. He knew only this castle, with it's smooth, rounded walls and butter-gumble, impossible structures which wound their way through the crystallized air. He had been driven here because this was supposed to be home.
Home, no, this was a vile, putrid defecation compared to the shimmering, glimmering butterflies of home. Yet here he was, shuffling through the corridors, hearing his heart trundle on towards oblivion. He was lost. His eyes flashed and dulled, his mind whirred and cracked, his body lurched and failed.
Voices groaned in his mind, twitching and shuddering into a abysmal existence, sometimes roaring and other times whispering - each time more and more persistent and destitute. Retrieve the princess retrieve princess the the retrieve princess retrieve princess princess princess... Then there would be that seething pulse which would fester in his soul and grow more and more inflamed until he felt it like bile choking in his throat. He would be drowned by her.
And in all his desperation and longing and desire and thoughts dedicated to her and her alone he could not find her. Her warmth was far from him, and he was growing colder and more and more stale. Eventually apparitions of herself would begin to scour his mind, more vivid than the world around him which was quickly fading to grey and out to nothingness.
Yet through the tangled webs he would always proceed, her words engraved upon his back, a remembrance of his purpose and a re infusion of his drive to find her as again he wandered in circles around that castle.
Then... Then! When he had relinquished all hope of finding home again, he saw an idol of it. His gut twisted in rage and fear and pure and utter hatred, the feelings thickening as his memories grew stronger and more lucid. This was one of the creatures which had ruined his chances in gaining the princess - but more importantly, he had stolen his spare steepled hat and his silver gloves - which was absolutely unforgivable.
However, desperation racked his bones, and when he saw that dark skinned man attacking what was his, a swelling of emotion drowned any logic. He cared little for allies, particularly not those as mindless as the black mages who struck without rhyme nor reason.
Where true offence was conjured however, was that he was attacking what was his. Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine. His talons flexed and his wings did spread as he soared down towards the scene of the battle. Excitement gripped his stomach and his eyes grew wild as he raised his staff above his head.
Driving it down with immense force upon Vargas, he shrieked, ""MINE!" He had lost all elegance of the tongue - there was no time for it. He turned upon Zidane, eyes waxing and waning as he contemplated what to do with him.
Thundaga gathered at his finger tips, though he would not cast it until an answer resonated from the others lips, "Where is the Princess?" he snapped, desperation quivering his voice in a plea towards the monkey tailed thing.
{Again, apologies!}

The space between worlds had been graced with the presence of a true deity. Fiend, the physical powerhouse of the Triad, had left the World of Ruin in order to pursuit a new domain. He was tired of sharing his rule with Goddess and Fiend, so he left for his own world to rule. He would enter the first world he came upon and force the people to bow before him. The people would see his might and immediately kneel in service to this god. The first world he came upon happened to house a massive castle, and a sizable town around it. Good, he would place himself in the castle and make the people build him an alter at the entrance to the castle. Of course he didn’t want to disgrace his own image by allowing them look upon the glorious Fiend. First, he decided to take a tour of the world and see his newest acquisition.
How long had it been since Fiend had disgraced himself enough to walk among the people? Apparently, not long enough because the god of ice had chosen to fly in the skies rather than walk among those lower than himself. He wasn’t even sure why he had chosen to end up in this strange new world, but it didn’t matter. Soon, Fiend would become the sole god of Radiant Garden, absent sharing power with Demon and Goddess. The time for change was at hand, and Fiend would send the people of this world into servitude.
He approached the streets of Radiant Garden only to already see the people disgracing his new world. As he landed on the roof of a nearby building, he couldn’t help but see the people were already fighting amongst each other. Why would slaves fight when they should be bowing before him? With skin of onyx and wings of gold the physical titan of a god had decided to make his presence known amongst the worthless people.
”You would fight amongst yourselves, even in the presence of your new god? I have not been here for even a full day yet, and already you make me wish I had not graced this world with my presence.”[/b]
That decided it; the deity would show the people his might by forcing it upon them. Who would he attack though? Would he attack the more powerful fighters such as the silver haired boy, or would he end the fighting by taking out the weaker warriors then asking the others to bow before he did the same to them. The latter sounded like a choice of plan, and what better way to start than by the tailed boy. Tails on humans were just unnatural so Fiend decided it should be removed.
Fiend raised his hand and pointed it directly at the tailed thief in question, and, from the tip of his hand, four boulders of ice emerged, one after the other, and immediately fired themselves like a cannon at the thief. His Blizzaga would begin a world of pain for the tailed boy wonder.
