Kefka watched as the bodies of his latest victims lay burning at his feet, filling the air with their soul scent. The mad mage simply shook his head, before letting out an exaggerated sigh.
"They were hardly worth destroying," Kefka grumbled, before stepping over their bodies and walking a few feet. "There's nothing left to do anymore, no more exciting toys to play with, nothing left to destroy, this is positively BORING!! Ugh!!" Kefka flailed his arms, before sitting cross legged with a huff.
"There has to be something else to do, I can't just sit around doing nothing forever! Oooo..." His eyes twinkled as he grinned, rising to float just above the ground, "I know!! Just because the wars are over don't mean that there aren't other worlds out there!! There's plenty more for me to do, plenty more to destroy!! So many screams, so many explosions, tons of toys to break and play with!! Whoa-ohohohohoho!!"
Kefka's laugh echoed throughout the tower, before he vanished into a black void, which too disappeared as quickly as the mage that summoned it to take him away.
He appeared in the middle of a thicket, immediately crying out in annoyance of the vines and thriving greenery around him. He pulled his arms from the vines, stumbling over the brush before he leaped into the air to hover above the ground. Kefka then looked around him, wriggling his nose before he cringed, sticking out his tongue.
"Eeeewwwww... This sanctuary has too much boring and not enough burning... LET'S TORCH EVERYTHING!" Kefka spun like a ballerina in the air, before throwing his arms forward as he cast Extra-Crispy Firaga. The three fireballs flew from his hands landed in the brush below, though not setting it on fire the heat drained it of its moisture. Kefka blinked, bringing a hand to his mouth.
"What? Is that all?!" He demanded, bringing his arms above his head, "I just need to try harder!!" With that, he threw his arms forward again to cast Zap Trap Thundaga on the brush he'd just dried out. Bolts of electricity struck down, the spark starting the flame that Kefka so desired. It quickly began to spread to the entirety of the dried brush, its heat drying the plant life around it to slowly allow it to spread.
"Now THAT'S more like it!! Whoa-ohohohohohoho!!!" Kefka's laugh echoed through the forest, his entire body shaking from the effort of his glee.

What have we learned, of other people burning, purifying flame
[/div][/sub] (OOC: It's about time someone should post in your first thread on the site, Kefka. My apologies for taking so long, RL stuff gets in the way at times, and if it's no good since I'm tired but wanted to put something up for ya before the next time you logged in. But I'm honored I could be the first to RP with ya as one of your favorite charies.)
The center of the dancing flame held but a haunting, disorted memory as intangible as the smoke that poured from it.
Cloud hadn't planned to be here. He had hoped to find Sora, or another one of his friends that seemed to have popped up recently carrying the mystical weapon called the keyblade. Having recently returned Marlene home from Destiny Islands hoping to have found Sora there instead and Tifa taking care of things back at home, he could focus on the nagging errand thought that had been weighing on his mind. This weight wasn't so easy as to dilly-dally around and shrug it off... he had to learn more about this 'χ-blade' that Sephiroth and Kadaj were apparently after. Even if it was a trap, the only way to set it off was to spring it.
He hadn't come to this world to find a keyblader, however. This jungle world looked devoid of any civilization, much less someone who could educate him on where the χ-blade could be found. He thought about trying Vincent's cell phone again as he was always the first to know about these things from his travels within the world's shadows, but he wasn't answering his cell phone and Marlene claimed to be the last person who had seen him before he had ushered her away to safety. He would have to find the answers on his own, however this world had drawn to him from the thick plume of smoke from the zenith of it's atmosphere.
The smoke, the ash, the burning flame... the flickering memory of Sephiroth standing against the flames flickered across his mind for a moment, recalling the smells of thick soot suffocating his breathing before the recollection became as fleeting as the flickering embers.
He had arrived at a abandoned treehouse, and could see the unnatural pillar rising on the horizon. After a moment of studying the surrounding landscape, he leaned over on his motorbike Fenrir and flickered the throttle on the right-hand steering handle, the mechanical beast roaring to life. Wheels spun over faded wood and mottled moss as Cloud lurched forward off the wooden balcony and beyond the safety netting below, the weight of Fenrir free-falling through the treetops before hitting solid treetrunk once more. The trees in this place were as thick and continous as the highway back in Midgar, so it didn't take much trouble for the ex-SOLDIER to navigate his way down to ground level and weave his way around the forest floor he landed upon. Stopping Fenrir's brakes suddenly and swinging his legs around to one side, he looked up at the infamous figure spinning around carelessly in the air he had the misfortune of remembering only because his role as Cosmos's warrior had allowed him to remember from winning those remaining cycles of war he had been drawn into.
"What's so funny?" he asked Kefka seriously to announce his presence, slinging the Main Blade over his shoulder he had unsheathed.

By now the fire had spread considerably, swallowing much of the forest around Kefka. He watched on, filled with joy as trees that once filled the sky fell to break into pieces of charcoal. The soot filled the air, choking the animals that hadn't been able to escape. The swent scent of death entered Kefka's nose, bringing an obnoxious grin to the jester's face.
"This is positively stupendous!" Kefka squealed, "Finally, something that can fire me up! Whoa-ohohohoho!!" Kefka slapped his knee at his joke, doing a back-flip in midair as Cloud's voice reached his ears. Kefka spun around, gazing upon the EX-SOLDER as his eyes lit up with recognition.
Yes, this was that same blonde he'd encountered traveling with Terra and the other Warriors of Cosmos. Last he'd seen of the EX-SOLDIER, Cloud had helped defeat him in his own tower. This time, though, Cloud didn't have Terra and the other Warriors of Cosmos to help save him. This time, Kefka was going to destroy Mr. Flagship.
"Welcome, friend! I knew someone like you would come find me, so I prepared some suitable entertainment! Isn't it splendid?" Kefka spread his arms to his sides, as if showing off the fiery destruction behind him, "It's not much, but without bodies to kill and screams to be heard there's only so much one can do! It's a pity really, destruction without death can turn so positively boring... But that's why you're here, isn't it, you've come to be destroyed haven't you, Cloud? You're not coming to rain all over my parade have you?"
With a chuckle Kefka spun like a ballerina into the air, before bringing his arms up above his head with a grin, wiggling his fingers. He interlaced his hands to crack his knuckles and then bringing his arms back down to his sides, palms skyward. Behind him a tree fell, the flames flaring to darken his figure and highlight his features. In particular, his eyes seemed to glow with delight at the thought of killing the former Warrior of Cosmos, his grin devious and insane. "This will be fun, haven't played with a Chocobo plush in quite a long while! Hope you're more durable than before..."

Where were you when, all of the embers fell, I still remember them covered in ash, covered in glass
[/div][/sub] Well. Had he expected anything more?
It was quite clear at what amused Kefka so, the trees around them being reduced to nothing more than burnt husks as the jungle fire began to ignite at it's height of a massive beast that threatened to snuff out all life on this world. From what he could remember with his time with Terra Branford, someone that labelled her 'destruction incarnate' could only be amused with that one focus on their mind and that alone. The fire itself could describe Kefka metaphorically, a raging inferno of annihilation that sought to consume itself and everything around it because no other emotion could help them deal with their reality. And for such single-minded devastation, Kefka was a tapped power keg waiting to explode.
Cloud considered his options mentally. Can't talk out of this one. Not only was the firestarter well underway, but any attempt of delaying him would achieve nothing as the wave of flames threaten to consume everything that stood in it's wake. Trying to put it out with what limited resources would have was also pointless, as Kefka was the source of the fire. The fire was the brute force ripping through the landscape, but Kefka was the brains behind the fuse.
If he could cut down the summoner behind the waking beast of flame...
Summoner... beast... flame. An idea flickered to life behind glowing blue mako eyes, and he realized he could do both as a idea came to mind.
And as he looked up at Kefka, a painful memory that he shouldn't have remembered that made his breath hitch, and his mako-glowing irises thin into a slit of blinding black.
"Oh my... Look who it is! If it isn't Cloud... I thought you'd taken off with Sephiroth."
"With Sephiroth? What are you talking about?"
"I just passed him by a second ago. He said he was going out, so I assumed you'd be with him."
"Why do I have to wander around with him?"
"Well, he's going to see her, you know. The girl from your world?"
"What?"
"He said he will beat her into oblivion. He thinks it will return more of his memories... Why don't you hurry and get some of the scraps? You'll make it in time if you leave now."
"Gr..."
A blinding white beneath closed eyelids faded as Cloud returned to the present, clutching his forehead as Kefka's image made him re-live the memory. He had been on Chaos's side... and Kefka had talked him into going after Sephiroth? As the sting of the memory faded that left him, he felt that it had to be true. Well, no more. It was a shame he could not return the favor in kind to Kefka, as some other unlucky world or soul would be his target no matter where he went.
"Quiet." his voice commanded as it cut through the air, as if trying to clear a bad headache by demanding silence. And quite honestly, Kefka's assumptions were having that effect. He didn't answer them or the bad pun, instead slinging the First Blade in the sling on his back while retrieving an object from his pocket with the same gloved hand. A red, glowing orb was revealed as he fluidly inserted it into his left arm, the thrumming of magic pulsating in waves as it made contact. Without further word he thrust his arm upwards towards the sky, more pulsating magic twisting the air as it shot into the clouds. The mist condensed as a shape was summoned from within, a gigantic roar thundered across the heavens as the king of dragons Bahamut burst forth across the dense jungle atmosphere.
"Put out the fire." Cloud ordered calmly. The dragon began flying around the fire, flames licking against the plates of it's skin. It began circling the fire, gliding from the height at which it had been given birth upon this earth, until it dropped down to ground level. Then it tipped it's wing, until it dug through both trees and earth as it left behind a ditch of earth to cut off the flames. Once it had cut off most of the fire and could not glide any further, it landed upon the ground. Scales still resistant to the intense heat, it began inhaling, breathing in the fire it so often used as it's weapon to gather as it's own power.
Cloud didn't wait around for Kefka to consider the option to go after it. He seemed set on setting alight the chocobo-head and if it was a fight he wanted, it was a fight he'd get. Right hand lowering and grabbing the Main Blade behind his back, he leaped into the air as he felt the tension of the encounter reach it's boiling point. Since Kefka was still floating in the air, he launched the blade out of it's sheath on his back in a arc much like a sling-blade, then repeated the action in a one-two motion in the action of Double Cut. Regardless of if he hit or missed Kefka, he barrelled through the air and despite his doubts if he still had the same strength he had three years ago, spun around and landed some distance away to turn and react to the mad clown.
Destroyers like him, and Sephiroth... if they were beyond reason, he could at least remind them to curb their bloodlust as a warning before he had no choice but to finish them.
"I can't ride with you on your road to ruin."

When Cloud came down, suddenly a Gravira spell appeared around him. Just before he hit the ground, the intention of this spell by its caster, Yazoo, was perhaps in the hopes to break one of Cloud's legs or at least bring him down to his knees, so it was pretty much impossible to dodge what came next. Not that far off, Yazoo had appeared and held and arm up, with a quick movement flames appeared and scorched in a wall of fire at Cloud as he launched his Flare spell.
The Remnant had just arrived in this world, while having noticed Kefka, whom he knew from a previous raid when they attempted to destroy some worlds, he and his brother couldn't let the opportunity go to crush the black sheep of the family.
The more stranger part was that Yazoo was now in his usual outfit, not in the Organization’s cloak. He had ditched the cloak on his Gummi Ship, feeling that the Remnants should remain together. He and his brothers had been through a lot since their return, their lives were lived much longer now after their return than before when they had searched for Mother.
Their goals had been set for some time as well, Yazoo felt it was quite a good opportunity to test his new abilities against an old foe. He suspected that Kadaj would deal with the Bahamut first, but probably wouldn’t want to miss this either. After this, perhaps they could destroy this jungle. He was already burning everything that came across his Flare and he couldn’t see Cloud dodging it in time.
Active Gravira: Two post active for Cloud (if worked). Used just before he got down on the ground, so might be able to hurt his legs or something? o.o;
Cooldowns Gravira: Five post cooldown. Flare: Three post cooldown.

Over the sounds of the burning fire and panicking wildlife within the thick, tree clogged jungles of Deep Jungle, came an even greater roar. One of threat, violence and anger. It came high above the canopy of the jungle, thus making spotting whatever it belonged to, difficult. However, the massive beat of wings started to force the trees to sway from side to side as powerful currents of air blasted down with each echoing wing beat. Another roar echoed out before a light as bright as the sun itself began to glow within the skies. A subtle blue tint, but still very bright, the sound of what seemed to be energy being charged and gathered began to drown out the other sounds within the forest. A dragon was flying above Deep Jungle, and it's monstrous, hideous form indicated that it was not of the same family as the Black Sheep's Bahamut.
No, this was Bahamut SIN, the Darkness evolved version who was bigger and stronger then perhaps Zack's Fair's Fury. It wasn't waiting around either for anything to happen. The moment the bright turquoise eyes of SIN's owner caught sight of a fellow King of Dragons within the area, it forced the silver-haired youth to take action. The bright light within the sky was in fact a Mega Flare, and the humming of gathered energy suddenly exploded as the massive attack was set loose, carving a path through the jungle like a hot knife through butter. It's intended target? The King of Dragons summoned by the Black Sheep of the family. Regardless of it the energy attack found it's target or not, the Mega Flare crashed into the jungle floor and the following explosion would be enough to create a massive clearing within the jungle, like a meteor had landed and caused a huge crater. No more places to hide. The only pause for thought the silver-haired youth had when ordering this attack, was whether his dear brother Yazoo would get out of harms way. The same could be said for the clown whom seemed to hold most of Cloud's attention.
As the dust began to settle and the winds died down after Bahamut SIN flew off, the Remnant Leader stepped forth on a protruding tree branch that poked into the clearing that was just created. Arms folded across his chest, the silver-haired youth scanned his eyes across the battlefield in signs of any remaining life. A proud smirk spread across his lips, he hopped down from his perch and onto the burnt grass down below. Turning his head skywards, the Remnant watched as the clouds that Bahamut SIN flew off through slowly materialized back into existence. Looking back towards the scene of destruction before him, Kadaj chuckled darkly as he spread his arms out wide and low before him, hunching his back and walking forth with sheer confidence in his stride. "CLOUD!!! You really thought you won back on the SHin-Ra HQ building??!! Hahahaah!!!" He cackled, darkly, violently as he continued to stride forth towards the center of the clearing. Kadaj knew it would take more then a single Mega Flare to end him, and he was going to take great pleasure in dealing the final blow, personally.

"Hmhmhmhm," Kefka chuckled, watching Cloud as the young hero looked up at him. As old memories came back to Cloud, a plot began to grow within the mind of the demented jester.
Much like Terra, there was much potential within Cloud. Not as much as his beloved half Esper or himself, but plenty for a destructive power that could surpass even Sephiroth. This thought pleased Kefka, yes it brought about a plan that would serve Kefka's scheme to destroy all worlds very well. He wouldn't destroy Cloud, no that would be a waste to do so soon. Instead, Kefka would defeat Cloud then replace his memories with false ones that would allow him to more easily be controled. Then as an added protection, he would force the EX-SOLDIER to wear a slave crown before ordering him to destroy his own world. His friends wouldn't even know what to do, they would be easy prey! Then Kefka could kill him, thus preventing Sephiroth from coming back after he was destroyed. Yes, it was a great idea filled with dispair and destruction!
Kefka blinked a few times at Cloud's command, tilting his head.
"Come again?" Kefka asked, then narrowed his eyes, "Excuse me!! Just who do you think you're talking to?!" Kefka demanded before the red glow of the summon materia caught his eyes, widening them with interest.
"OoOoO, what do we have here?" Kefka seemed to have completely forgotten Cloud's rudeness and watched Cloud's movements to summon. He looked up, then with a grin he flailed in midair with glee. "Hohoho! If it itsn't my good friend Bahamut! Many a town he's destroyed in the past, oh how I've missed watching things burn cus of him!" Kefka blinked at Cloud's command, looking back down at him. "Wait what, but it out?! Are you out of your mind?!"
Kefka turned back to Bahamut to watch as the King of Dragons land and begin throwing earch to cut the flames. "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Kefka screamed. "What are you doing?! Stop it, beautiful creatures like you are meant to destroy not to save!! This is a complete WASTE of your magnificent POWER!!" By the time Kefka took notice of Cloud's movement it was too late to completely avoid the blows. Spinning in midair, the jester leaped to the side to avoid the first blow, though the second slashed across his chest and sent him tumbling backwards through the air. Kefka caught himself, and hovered above the ground while he glared at Cloud.
"OOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!" Kefka roared at him, "That really hurt!! But not as much as this..." Kefka's tone changed to a happier, almost gleefilled tone halfway through his sentence as he brought his hand before him, prepared to snap his fingers. Then, everything almost seemed to happen at once. First a Gravira spell was launched at Cloud, followed by the line of flames that came from the Flare spell. His eyes followed them to their source: a silver haired youth that reeked of resemblence to Sephiroth. He cocked an eyebrow at him, but before he could have even another thought the area lit up as Mega Flare crashed into the jungle towards Bahamut, causing Kefka to jump before fleeing back away from the radius of the attack. When he stopped, he waved his hands in front of the face to try and clear some of the dust and smoke that it kicked up, before his eyes widened at the sight of the impact.
"Positively STUPENDOUS!! Now THIS is what I call a good time!! Whoa-ohohohohoho~!" It was now that Kefka spotted the other youth, tilting his head as he set both feet on the ground. "It seems that Choco-brain has brought some friends to play with us! Isn't that sweet of him?" Kefka chuckled once more as he brought his hand up before him, spotting Cloud before he snapped his fingers.
"This is gonna hurt..." Kefka said as he cast Trine, causing three triangles of blue energy to form and converge on Cloud's location. Almost immediately he leaped into the air, hovering bringing his hand above his eyes to gaze towards his spell.
"Did I get him?"

Where, where will you stand when all the lights go out, across these city streets
[/div][/sub] Why was Cloud fighting?
There was the obvious reason to stop the jungle fire and preserve the life on this world, but why should he care? What did it matter to him if a entire rainforest was razed, and no-one he knew or cared about were in danger? What's more, why had he been rushed into a battle when he refused to have one with Sephiroth back at Radiant Garden recently? Had Cloud found his reason to fight? No... it was something more than that. It was like when he had come across Terra and he had drawn his sword to quell her powers without so much as even a thought in a single heartbeat... he wasn't even sure if he could help or if anything could be saved.
But even if it was pointless and all was lost, he still remembered... he could still help someone.
As a roar echoed across the jungle valley that did not belong to it, the original and only King of Dragons had finished swallowing up one massive spot fire Kefka had started. Having filled up it's reserves with pure fire, it turned it's head towards the source of the glow in the sky. Instinctively, it knew that glare because it was of it's own signature move. Moving in retaliation to counter the Mega Flare from it's shadowy cousin, it pushed off with a kickstart from the ground and effortlessly moved around the large fireball as it crashed into the ground below. For it had begun charging itself, but by the time it slammed into Bahamut SIN and pulled it's arm backwards to knock it off balance, it was already too late. Clamping it's massive jaw into the leathery skin of it's neck, Bahamut had finished charging it's own Mega Flare, the massive fireball making point-blank contact with the both of them resulting in a devastating explosion that would instantly consume and destroy them both.
As Cloud missed and then hit Kefka, already on the ground as it glanced upwards in watching Bahamut's kamikaze attack, the air around him began to darken as a Gravira spell was cast around him. Whipping his head around, he took in his sights the newcomer was none other than one of Sephiroth's Remnants. What Yazoo had failed to notice however, was his spell had been cast just a little too late, as Cloud was already on the ground from his landing after Double Cut. Cloud still had been caught by surprise and gritted his teeth as the gravity around him increased and drew him to the ground magically, even if the damage had not been greater for being caught in the air. He was going to have to change his tactics on-the-fly as long as he was stuck on the ground in this gravity well.
Since he had taken in Yazoo's presence from the Gravity spell, he saw the Flare spell come for him. Within a second of arm movement, the Main Blade was before him, the flat of the blade blocking the brunt of the blast. If he was surprised at Yazoo's entrance, it would be even less of a shock when Kadaj had made his pompous entrance. What from Bahamut SIN's short appearence, and from what Sephiroth had told him. "You're not getting the χ-blade." he said flatly, a hint of anger rising in his voice that he wasn't the least bit stunned Kadaj had come for him for a rematch, as well as hinting he knew of his plans.
So much for not honoring a fair one-on-one battle. Figures, what of villains and Remnants.
If Kadaj's entrance had served one useful purpose for his own self-satisfaction, it was to distract Cloud. Soon enough blue triangles of death appeared around him to converge on his location. Even as he took notice and tried to dodge through them, he was still caught and was sent flipping backwards to slam face-down into the dirt and ash beneath him. Letting out a pained grunt and spitting out blood from biting his tongue, he pulled out Merciless from his back harness in his left hand and the Main Blade lowered before him as he pulled himself back to his feet. "I'll take you all on!" he declared venomously to answer them all, then rapidly charged forward.
He quickly closed the distance between them with Climhazzard with Kefka as the closest target, the Main Blade outstretched aimed at him to push him along the ground as he cut into him. Since Yazoo's Gravira prevented him from leaping to perform the leaping half of the combo, instead he improvised and used the flat of the blade of Merciless to bash Kefka into Yazoo, who was now close to them because of the distance he had covered. Shoving those two out of the way, he immediately merged into Cross Slash after he attached Merciless to the Main Blade to add to it's power. The first swing crossed across a distance quicker than most people would anticipate, and since Cloud never used this move on him and from just having used Chimhazzard he knew it was unlikely Kadaj would not be caught off guard from being hit from it. The second swing would sweep up into Kefka as well as Kadaj, then the third and final swing scooping up all the villains as it should strike into Yazoo. The resulting kanji symbols the ability made on any one of them would gather them up for the final swing regardless, the resulting completion's force knocking them all backwards.
Now all that had to happen was for Loz and Sephiroth to show up, and it wouldn't make any difference to the resulting cruel irony that followed. Whether it had been pure bad luck or Kefka had lured him into a Remnant trap, Cloud knew it was very unlikely he was going to come out of this ambush the victor or even in one piece.
But with insurmountable courage in the face of overwhelming odds, he remembered in the heat of the battle the reason why he had been swept up into battle as he thought he saw the ghostly silhouettes of gorillas fleeing through the smoke between the trees.
Even if it was all for nothing, he had to remember even he could try to help someone.
---
Climhazzard: Cloud sides a long distance along the ground with his sword forward to strike the enemy, then strikes them up into the air with an uppercut slash, then while in the air points the sword downward and stabs them earthwards with a third and final slash. Cooldown: Two posts.
Cross-Slash: Cloud slashes forward with three slashes, each slash making a piece of kanji on the target so when all three slashes hit, forms a complete kanji. The kanji is only for show. If he misses, the kanji will not be completed, but he will turn and track his target to make sure the remaining slashes hit. If successful in striking and following through with the attack while using The Power of Mako, it will trigger Omnislash. Cooldown: Three posts.
(OOC: Kadaj, I sent you a PM about why I wrote what I did about the Bahamut's. As for you all coming to tag-team me 3 vs. 1, ha, this is the last time I do something kind for a new villain. I heard about the analogy Kadaj made of Keldy, Namine and Kadaj compared to Genesis, Angeal and Sephiroth respectively, and it made me snicker. All I have to say to that is that this thread reminds me of this... you think basically you're all going to kick Cloud's butt, huh? Well, guess again. Here's another analogy for comparison. Cloud is Optimus Prime, Kadaj is Megatron, Starscream is Kefka (both have comedic moments) and Yazoo is Grindor. So bring. It. On. Haha.)

One had to love light shows, but this one wasn’t Yazoo’s thing. It was the completely wrong type of light show in the air. He had immediately rushed away from the place where Bahamut SIN’s attack had hit, but the light show in the sky seemed more awful and he wasn’t sure if the two summons would appear again from the cloud that now stood in the sky. His senses did sense a little still, but the presences were fading fast.
Yazoo didn’t bother to watch the two in the air fight their fight, instead he concentrated on Cloud. His spell, as he could’ve expected, hit too late as he had to throw it quickly at the time, but at least the man was now stuck to the ground, so the Remnant could get up high and shoot from there. Then again, that seemed awfully cowardly, so he supposed it would suffice as a reason for having less escapes from other attacks.
The long-haired Remnant knew of Kefka’s magic tricks, so he hoped the clown had something good in store for the black sheep. The impact of his Flare spell didn’t do that great either, seeing it was blocked when the flames vanished and Cloud was still standing with a smoking sword. The man, however, mentioned a word he had heard of but still knew nothing of, “χ-blade?” He said questioning in a calm voice. His smirk didn’t fade.
Yazoo saw Kefka’s spell then take form and damage Cloud, he actually got off the ground for a moment there with the Gravity spell still in effect. It amused the long-haired Remnant quite a bit. When the man declared that he would take all three on somehow, Cloud charged and attacked Kefka. Even if the clown would block the attack, he would probably fly in Yazoo’s direction, so when the Magitek Knight came his way Yazoo jumped agile onto his shoulder and launched himself into the air.
Flipping into his hand, he took up his gun and started to release a gunfire at his ‘brother’, Cloud, while attempting to flip over him until the Cross Slash started and he got hit out of the air with the kanji marks started to appear.
After Cloud’s attack and Yazoo got knocked away, he rolled over and quickly worked himself back onto his feet to release more bullets in Cloud’s direction. He really missed having Loz there and enjoy the gun alongside them. He hoped Vincent didn’t make another appearance and save his comrade here.
Active Spells Gravira: Still one post active for Cloud.
Cooldowns Gravira: Four post cooldown. Flaire: Two post cooldown.
OOC Note Tried to think of a way to do some good fighting back and still make it fair for Cloud instead of jumping away all-together and launch an attack from where none of Cloud's attacks could have hit Yazoo at all.

Kadaj could merely smirk just as much as his brother and their new temporary ally were. Cloud Strife seemed to be in, perhaps, an awkward predicament here, no? While Loz was absent, Kefka wasn't, and while the Psycho Clown lacked Loz's amazing strength, he easily made up for it in his insanely twisted knowledge of magical attacks. Thanks to Bahamut SIN's Mega Flare clearing a nice open space for the quadruple of 'gifted' warriors to fight in, it would only lead to things getting more interesting. True, it made for less hiding places for Cloud, but the same ting could be said for the Remnant's and the Clown. It mattered not. Kadaj didn't hide when fighting Cloud on the roof of Shin-Ra HQ, so why would he here? Before jumping forth to get engaged in combat, the silver-haired Remnant Leader turned his eyes skywards once more and watched as both the King of Dragons and his mutated sibling destroyed one another with their attacks. This actually caused the Remnant to raise an eyebrow.
~Hmm... that was unexpected... Perhaps just me growing stronger doesn't pass onto Bahamut?~ The turquoise-eyed youth pondered as he raised his left arm and watched the red glow shining within his forearm fade away completely. Did he have to summon him more on these worlds then in order for the King of Dragons to grow in strength? Or was it simply that Cloud had indeed kept up his own training? Nah, that wasn't right. All Cloud ever did was mope about and look for Tifa and Aerith all the time. He never trained. He didn't like to fight. That's when his ears picked up something of interesting leaving the lips of the Black Sheep. Kadaj stepped forwards a single time and tilted his head slightly, casting his full attention onto Spiky. "Who told you that, brother? Oh... I see... You've met Sephiroth again, haven't you? That traitor..." Kadaj smirked wildly as he hopped down from the protruding tree branch onto the dirt and ash covered jungle floor. Two small clouds of ash kicked up when his feet landed and blew away in the subtle wind as the Remnant Leader made his way towards the trio, watching the spells and attacks sent out from his allies.
"You're hardly in the right situation to be giving out orders, Cloud. I will find the X-Blade and after I destroy Sephiroth and JENOVA, you'll be next! That is, if you survive THIS encounter! Now... tell me 'brother', have you kept up with your training? For the past three years, how many fights have you been in?" Kadaj asked, the singing of a twin-bladed katana being drawn followed his dark-toned voice, a flash of sunlight reflecting off the blades that were polished to a mirror sheen. Kadaj's Mako fueled eyes could see all, especially the sight of Cloud darting towards him with an attack already in motion. What was this? Cloud didn't even have his weapon fully fitted for maximum power. Did he really think he had any chance when not attacking at full strength? The smirk spread across Kadaj's lips never shifted as he flexed his knees slightly and leaped up into the air, only just enough so the silver-haired youth could 'kick' himself higher into the air off of Cloud's weapon as the first strike of Cross Slash sailed harmlessly beneath him. Tucking his knees into his chest, Kadaj flipped himself backwards and opened up the gap between him and the Black Sheep slightly, taking this chance to glance at Yazoo and notice that strange Kanji that had appeared before him.
Yazoo was blown away somehow, possibly from the Kanji itself and Kadaj pondered on how he was able to do that if he hadn't kept up his training. Regardless, he must have simply caught Yazoo off guard. His brother seemed to be fine though as he rolled back up to his feet to fire bullets at Cloud. Kefka was off doing his own thing as well, and for the smallest of moments, the Remnant Leader wondered if he should wait for his chance to attack. In their last match it was one-on-one... Kadaj having the disadvantage of having to protect JENOVA's head from that massive sword. "Nah..." Kadaj said aloud, bringing his Souba up to before him and holding the blade out at arms length in Cloud's direction. But what attack to use? Something to cause a distraction to open a window for Kefka and Yazoo? Something to attack head on and cause maximum damage? Kadaj's smirk widened as he subtly nodded his head to himself. Quickly he started to sprint towards Cloud, side stepping every now and then to avoid a bullet shot from Yazoo. After closing the distance, Kadaj leaped forth and simply went in for a basic strike across the lower half of Cloud's torso. But whether this attack was blocked or not, Kadaj's Souba would pass completely through whatever it struck, causing no damage at all, but hopefully introducing a little disorientation. An After Image of the Remnant was used as a distraction, before the real Kadaj appeared an instant later directly behind the Black Sheep, Souba in motion to cut as big a diagonal slash across Cloud's back as possible, maybe even cutting that large sword scabbard from his back.
-=Cooldowns=- After Image - 2 Posts. Kadaj moves with such amazing speed that he can create an 'after image' of himself in place of where he once was. The after images are completely harmless and serve only as a means of distraction while the real Kadaj attacks from a different direction.

Where in the worlds was he?
Terra was lost somewhere in the middle of a dense forest, with no sight as to where he was. As far as he knew the dense humidity of this world was a natural occurrence for the strange forest he found himself in. He still wasn’t sure how he’d found himself in the middle of a massive ocean of trees with a single tree house barely visable in the distance. I guess that’s what I get for falling asleep…
Terra had somehow let himself fall asleep while he was journeying between the worlds after reuniting with ‘Artemis’ and Aqua in the Pridelands. Now he was stuck looking up the massive towards of oak and sycamore to see the massive eclipse of greenery above him. He had no idea that he was walking towards a battle nearly half a mile ahead of him.
The walk forward took him through several natural traps set by Deep Forest’s own living scenery. Brambles and thorns had cut into his shirt and left him with several miniscule abrasions while the heat had left his body soaked in a pool of sweat. Somehow the temperature kept rising with each step he took forward; it was something Terra had never heard of before. It was when he saw a faint neon glow that he decided he was going to eventually find something.
”Finally, I think I’m getting clear of this scenery.” Unfortunately, the glow was a blaze that had been started by the clown, the spiky haired guy in leather, the other guy in leather, or…Kadaj. He had only seen the villain a few times, and the first two had been on a battlefield against one another, even though Terra withdrew from the tournament the second time he’d met the man in black. He was sure there was good somewhere in the short tempered man, and it just needed rooted out. Terra quietly observed the scene for a quick instant to discover that the blond haired man was fighting the clown, the long haired guy who looked like Kadaj, and the short tempered villain. If Kadaj was fighting, then the three were probably the ones who started the fire, and the man with blonde hair needed help. With its usual entrance, Ends of the Earth found its way to Terra’s hand as he leaped down towards the three just in time to send his first massive bolder of light towards the short haired Remnant. He then immediately turned his Ultima Cannon that had flashed into his hand in midair, during his descent, and fired upon the clown that might possibly be insane. I mean, c’mon, who laughs uncontrollably like that? Mentally unstable people, of course. ”You look like you could use a hand, I’m Terra.”[/blockquote]

Kefka grinned widely at the sight of Trine hitting its mark.
“YES!!” Kefka shouted, throwing his fist into the air before jerking his arm back down to his side in victory. “I got him, I GOT HIM!!” Kefka looked right at Cloud when he declared he would take them all on, and was ready for the blonde’s assault. He jumped over the initial slash, letting the blade pass harmlessly beneath him.
“Ha!! You’re not going to hit me so-“ Kefka gloated, before the blunt edge of the blade caught his side while he came back down and sent him flying towards Yazoo. Kefka cried out as he was rocketed towards the remnant, only to be leaped off and sent out of range of Cloud’s where he crashed into the ground. He slid across it for a few feet, building a pile of dirt up before his face. Pushing himself up, he shook his head to rid it of the dirt.
“Yee-uch! Who’s side are you on?!” Kefka demanded aloud as he spun to face the combat before him from his floating position. The jester watched on as Yazoo shot at Cloud, and Kadaj used an after image in his attempt to attack. Kefka didn’t care if the remnants were in proximity of Cloud, he never asked them for help. Besides, they’d get out of the way if they really wanted. They had meddled in this battle without even asking, so if they were caught in the crossfire they had no one to blame but themselves. He was going to destroy EVERYTHING, there was no ally that was safe forever, or in this case even for long.
”Ha!" Kefka thrust his arms forward, firing a massive block of ice towards the battling trio before him. The block then exploded into several blocks of ice, each of which raced towards the warriors from VII without any discretion towards who was friend of foe. "Come on come on COME ON!!"
-------- Cool Down Scatter Spray Blizzaga: A block of ice stops shortly after being fired, and shatters over a wide area. (Cool down time two posts)

Smoke; it was rising from the distance. And not the small campfire kind either. The instant Yuna had caught sight of it her stomach turned. Other than the Hunter she’d just been with moments earlier, she’d found the world empty of its inhabitants during her time here. Even the gorillas had gone into hiding, so for imposing thick, grey clouds to be spiralling out of the trees something very, very wrong had to be going on. And she fully intended to find out what.
She weaved through the trees without stopping, a slender blur of blue, pink and white shooting past the brown bark, only the sound of rustling and the stray splash of mud left in her wake. The blood pounded in her ears and her breath came out in gasps, but she wouldn’t allow herself to pause, her eyes raised permanently to where the smoke may be coming from. She continued even when she heard the loud outcry of some beast in the area. What was that? However, when another, thunderous roar pierced the area and an expansive dragon-like creature blotted the sky, the gunner grounded to a halt. Is that... a summon? Her eyes widened and she did not blink for some time. Not only was that a summon, but it was a very familiar summon to her at that. Her mouth fell open at the sight of the magnificent creature unleashing its power on a section of the jungle below it.
”NO!” The word tore through her lips without her permission, the sudden unexpected strain on her voice burning her throat. Someone was summoning that, but who? What kind of summoner would do such a thing? Gripping her staff with whitened knuckles in one hand and her pistol in the other, she doubled her speed in order to make it to the place of fire.
When she did at last reach the source of the disaster, she could hardly believe her eyes. Four warriors, locked in combat, but it was the most colourful that shocked her most. That jester... in red-and-gold; she knew him. A memory flashed behind her mind; his laugh, that crazed guffaw and his figure set amongst a gathering of dark beings emanating equally sinister auras. What she remembered of that time was still fuzzy, but she knew one thing for sure; he was the cause of this.
Having the advantage of not being seen yet, Yuna waited and watched for an opportunity. She quickly deduced that the silver-haired men were working as a unit against the blond haired man. And it appeared he was the jester’s target, too. However, it wasn’t until the blond turned to attack that recognition hit her.
Cloud!
She’d heard his name in snatches when she’d been working as a spy for Maleficent, sneaking around Radiant Gardens in her fairy form to dig up what information she could. She’d noticed him in the area a few times, but had never approached him. Now knowing that he was an ally of Leon’s, she had to help him. If anything, she owed Leon for causing him so much trouble by picking missions with the wrong side. Yuna bit her lip. The odds were stacked against him, but if she waited for an opening she could get a good-
Yuna gasped, noting the double-image left of the silver-haired man and the true one appearing at Cloud’s back. Darn it! There was no time. She couldn’t cast Shell and Protect simultaneously to shield Cloud so had to blow her cover.
“Behind you!” she called, completely abandoning any attempt at a sneak attack. She then waved her staff in the direction of Kefka’s Blizzaga onslaught, casting Shell on Cloud and consequently shielding anyone within the spell’s bubble from magic temporarily. Quickly, she fastened her staff to her belt and retrieved her other pistol, aiming one at Kefka, the other at the long-haired remnant. Her eyes darted between the two, her voice filled with resolve.
“It’s time to even these odds.”

Of all the blasted things…
Fire. It was apparent from the smell in the distance. It had started off small at first, nothing more then maybe a campfire going a bit sour, but as Lief stayed longer, it was impossible to miss that SOMETHING was going wrong.
The two dragons that flew in within the next ten minutes were impossible to ignore as well.
“HOLY SHIT!” Lief couldn’t help but yell as a dragon, twenty times more threatening then the flying thing the summonor had summoned, rose into the sky a distance away from the clearing Lief stood in. Wide eyed the hunter started to babble something about “never seeing a thing like that at home”. A few moments later, the ex-poacher nearly had a heart attack as ANOTHER dragon EVEN MORE THREATENING decided to fly right over where they were standing. Mouth hanging open, Lief saw the latter dragon fire some super fire spell and practically (and most likely) creating a crater in the place.
Lief Ramses stood there for what seemed like an hour before the shock actually wore off. He was in a jungle, a deserted jungle that suddenly was over swarmed by giant summoned GODS and set on fire… ALL IN A MATTER OF TEN MINTUES TOPS!
Lief had turned back to say something to the Summoner, something to make sure he wasn’t seeing things and looking like a babbling idiot… but she was gone. The Hunter nearly spun in a circle, looking around her, praying to every Judge in Ivalice that she wasn’t…
He saw her blur in the distance.
“Oh come ON!!!!” the hunter growled. Of course, leave it to the animal lover to dive head first into the action. Save the animals! Never mind your own skin!
The Hunter darted expertly through the trees, years of running from the law in jungles just like this (minus the burning part of course) had the young deviant easily staying with the summonor. He was in arms length about to grab her and force her to stop this madness, when they had reached the destruction. And if gigantic huge dragons and a jungle being burned down for no particular reason wasn’t strange enough…
A clown… a freaken CLOWN was there. Attacking some man with spiky hair and a sword that must have been compensating for SOMETHING. Two men with enough likelihood to be brothers seemed to be ganging up on the Mister I-defy-gravity-with-my-hair as well. It was something out of a comic book, really. If it wasn’t for the smell of fire and the obvious looks that there was fighting going on, Lief wouldn’t have believed they were actually there.
The summoner seemed to panic at the thought of the blond being blown sky high by three unlikely strange looking people, for she yelled at the swords men to watch out then shielded him with Shell.
Lief fumbled with his bow, feeling stupidly weak against the magic using Clown and the huge sword-wielding dude, fitting an arrow into place. He wasn’t going to get involved in the fight if he didn’t have to… but there was no way he was just going to be a sitting duck.
It was the summoner pulling out her guns that sent a groan from the hunter. “Are you REALLY that much of an idiot?!” he couldn’t help but cry out, darting into the field. The bow slackened a bit as he grabbed the girls shoulder, attempting to half drag her away from the fire, destruction and evil strange looking clown. “We have to get out of here before the place goes to hell. If you want to save spiky, tell him to come WITH us.” Lief hated the fact that he was an open target right now, but there was no way he was letting the summoner get hurt over some dude with a sword. Or a jungle on fire for that matter.
For once he kind of wished there were Judges.
((OOC: Alright coolness! Now I'm in too. Sorry to crush your plans, Cloud, but Lief has no intent of letting Yuna stick around. Yeah, I'm getting to the other threads, just wanted to make sure this was in before Cloud posted... Right if I messed something up, tell me, highly likely I missed an attack somewhere.))

If there's a place that I could be, I'd be another memory Can I be the only hope for you? 'Cause you're the only hope for me
[/div][/sub] It was satisfying for a moment at least that his more poweful Cross Slash had hit both Kefka and Yazoo, even though Kadaj had somehow evaded it by jumping off his blade... while he was attacking? Surely Kadaj must have been hurt by such a reckless manuver and been punished for it in some way, for there was no way someone could kick off against the sheer force of a swinging metallic weapon unless they were trained in martial arts. One that was cutting forward already, without getting that limb chopped off or even sliced even if they were going at a fast speed against such a tremendous force. However he managed to pull it off, Cloud had to focus as Yazoo was now shooting bullets at him. He managed to block the first set, but the next round a stray bullet shot him in the leg and set him off balance, another bullet nicking his lower arm and another piercing the side of his lower abdomen as he fought to guard his vital organs with the less wider blade of Avenger as he pulled it out of his back harness.
"Like you'll ever know!" Cloud grunted in frustration at Kadaj's rant, for if it wasn't frustrating enough that he miraculously 'kicked' himself off his weapon while he was attacking, the Remnant leader was now closing the distance between them and made a distraction slash at him. Easy to tell from his movements that it wasn't a strike meant to do any damage, what with the time he took to reach him and the easy movement he had made. Nether the less he dodged backward from the strike, about to follow up with one of his own when Kadaj suddenly seemed to freeze. Confused for a few seconds, he was about to follow up with a strike of his own when a voice called out to him.
He sensed what the voice told him was true, as the same method he used to 'sense' Sephiroth's presence had him felt another presence materialize behind him, and whirling around with the Main Blade brought the edge up to block Kadaj's sneak attack with a resounding clang. Not giving him time to retaliate, he stabbed Avenger down over in front of Kadaj's Souba from his perspective to lock the Souba between his two blades, then attempted to give him a hard kick to the chest as he pulled the blades away to regain some distance. "Nice try." he dryly added as he started strafing quickly around Kadaj to get Yazoo and Kefka back in his sights, glancing up at his savior. We was met with a young woman with kind heterochomatic eyes, and he could only wonder if he had seen her familar face before he had to snap his attention quickly back to the battle at hand.
Kefka had cast an ice spell, and the Blizzard shot out slowly and then suddenly shattered as it scattered towards him shotgun-style. Cloud had blocked at the slow-moving ice-block coming his direction, but hadn't anticipated the randomness of the spell and removed his sword at the last minute. Luckily the gunner had come to his aid yet again, sending a protective Shell his way and absorbing half the damage as it successfully struck into him. The ice shards shot into his leg where he had been shot earlier, and he sunk to one knee involuntarily. At his time a newcomer had entered the fray, yelling at the top of his lungs to curse at the spellcasting young woman and suggesting they get out of there. Anticipating that he was 'Spiky' and he was the cowardly type, he rapidly attached Avenger to the Main Blade and pushed himself painfully onto his feet again.
"Get out of here!" he yelled, but it was directed more at the hunter-looking male than it was the female. Unlike him, she actually looked and sounded like she could easily handle herself in battle. He pushed himself off from his position and launched at Kadaj, still feeling the effects of the Gravity materia Yazoo had cast on him earlier. The avatar of Sephiroth must have recovered from the kick he had tried to apply eariler when he had locked his Souba in his blades, sliding over the ground and striking against his katana on purpose with his newly-produced Ascalon which he had just flipped up into the air before he took of. He caught the hinged weapon and blocked Kadaj's with the short switchblade as he chopped vertically down at him with the Main Blade, then spun around as he passed him to leap the distance past him and chop down vertically again on Yazoo with Double Cut yet again. Once he had done so, with Ascalon in a reverse grip to shield him from any attack Kadaj sent his way while he attacked Yazoo, he dodged-rolled to his right around Yazoo to get the two Remnants and the clown in the distance in his sights again.
He didn't target Kefka this time, as he noticed as well as the calvary that had arrived in the beautiful young woman that had appeared that Kefka was shooting at any targets, be they friend or foe. He would use that to his advantage for as long as he could, and take out whoever was the survivors when he endured this battle himself. And he was going to survive this battle, despite what Kadaj thought now the odds had significantly evened in his favor. Even though blood ran down his face from a bullet of Yazoo's that had also clipped his chin and down his limbs and body, he wasn't willing to give anyone the satisfaction of falling over in defeat.
Not yet.
(OOC: Sorry you couldn't join us, Terra. But thanks for joining Yuna and Lief, even if Lief is going to make you leave the thread now... xP)
