Riku walked up the stairs in the Castle Oblivion. After hearing several reports of a mass of Heartless appearing here, he decided it would be best to investigate.
Only problem.
There are no Heartless here.
Slightly perturbed, Riku pressed on, examining the empty halls, his Keyblade, Way to the Dawn in his hand.
"Where are you, Heartless-"
He was suddenly cut off by several Shadows running past him, scuttling into the next room. "Bout time you showed yourselves.." he scoffed, following at a brisk pace. He remembered this place well, and knew that going up was better than going down. He could only imagine the plethora of Heartless in the basement... I wouldn't do well facing against several thousand Heartless... though, Sora faced down a thousand once by himself. he thought to himself. He chuckled, remembering arriving at the top floor and seeing Sora, asleep, and Namine, watching over him.
Namine.. he knew that she had been around, having somehow returned. He hadn't run into her, or Roxas, but if they were back, there was a good chance that the Organization could be as well. Riku's stomach turned at the thought of Xemnas, Ansem, and Xehanort running around. It'd be like turning the Three Musketeers evil and giving them all Rocket Launchers.
After another few minutes of climbing, Riku looked up. He was on t he eigth floor. Just a bit farther.

Naminé had already made it to the upper floors of Castle Oblivion. The massive fort was less of a trap without her power for it to amplify. It was clear that no one had been there for awhile to the many heartless running around. All the memory witch wanted to do was get to her old bedroom. She had been though soon many fights, all she wanted to do was take a break. However it would seem that she would have to wait for the break due to two Dusks that came at her from down the hallway that lead to her room. Naminé snapped her fingers and a Creeper materialized itself right next to her. The Creeper Nobody turned itself in to a sword and the girl in the white dress took hold of it. The Dusks came at her and with two swipes of the young’s sword the vanished in to a black mist. “This would be easier if I had a Keyblade.” Naminé sighed as three more Heartless came at her from the shadows. The result was the same, the Dusks disappeared. “So would anyone else like to take me?” The girl said an overly sweet voice. She looked around and nothing came to her. “Aw, guess not.” She said as she dismissed her sword.
Naminé was just about to head into her room when she heard someone yell about the Heartless. She turned and looked down the hall. Someone was in the castle with her. The person was a male from the sound of the voice and they were a few floors away, but the young girl didn’t want to take any chances. She got out her sketchbook and drew a picture of a girl on its pages. Just then Naminé’s hair turned pink and her white dress became a pink zipped up one. The disguised Nobody snapped her fingers once more and the Creeper Sword returned to her hand. Naminé had turned herself into her other half, Kairi.
Naminé/Kairi waited at the end of the hall. She had thought about activating the Castle’s abilities. That way the person would forget what he was doing and just simply leave. The person was getting closer and for a moment the girl thought she recognized the presences. Unfortunately the person caught her by surprise and without a second thought; Naminé/Kairi came at the intruder with her sword. The young girl jumped back just after she brought her weapon down on the man. She gasped as she got a glimpse of the person she attacked. “Riku?!” Naminé/Kairi said in shock. “What-what are you doing here?”

Riku heard a rush of air of someone attacking, and moved to the side, just in time for a Creeper blade to hum past his ear. He brought his Keyblade up in front of him, eying his assailant for a second, taking in what he was seeing.
Kairi?!
"...Kairi..?" he said quietly. After a second, he squinted at her, leaning forward, and then poked her in the forehead. "...Namine." he said, poking her again. It had taken him a second to register what he was seeing. Somehow or another, he had caught a glimpse of truth, whether by the slight remnant of darkness he held on to, or just because of how well he knew Kairi.
He knew that Nobodies, no matter what, were not the same people as the ones they originated from, and he knew this was not Kairi. "I'm here because I'm trying to find clues as to who these new foes are, and if we're up against Xemnas, Ansem, and Xehanort... the last thing I need is to go charging into a battle I'm not prepared for.. I like living. He crossed his arms, ignoring the prowling Shadows that were hanging about seven feet behind him. "...What are you doing here, and why are you disguised as Kairi?" he asked, smirking with amusement. "If I may say so, the one thing you inherited from her is your stubbornness. Neither of you would go down without taking seven or eight thousand Heartless with you." he leaned against the doorway, pounding his fist against the wall, causing three or four Shadows to fall from the ceiling in what seemed like fright. "How about we partner up here, get what we need, and get out of here. Sound good?" he said, looking over his shoulder at the growing sound of Shadow footfalls.

Naminé/Kairi had a confuse/surprised look on her face. She blinked a few times to make sure the whiteness of the room wasn’t playing tricks on her eyes. When Riku poked her in the head and said Kairi’s name, she was even more confuses. She inadvertently looked down and realized that she was disguised as her other half. She completely forgot that she had turned herself into Kairi. Then the blader poked her in the head again and said her true name. She pouted a bit. The fact that she didn’t have a heart was always the dead giveaway in her transformations. As she stood there looking at Riku with her sky blue eyes the pink in her hair slowly faded back in to blonde and her pink dress turned back into white. “Hello Riku.” She said with a smile, than with a joking tone she continued. “You haven’t come to have your memories erased have you?”
Naminé, in her true form, stood before Riku. She listened to Riku explanation to why he was there. She closed her eyes and shook her head. “You are still living in the past I am afraid.” She said as she opened her eyes but kept them casted down. “Those three are the least of your worries and they are less of a threat compared to the newer foes. There are the horsemen,” She paused as she thought of her battle with them. “And there is something else too. I don’t know what it is yet but it scares me a little and Nobodies aren’t supposes to feel anything. So you can see where this is a problem.” She handed her sketchbook to Riku. It was turned to the page with the ex-heartless horseman, Stroud, drawn on it and behind him was a picture of a strange masked figure. “I have never met anyone like that masked person before and yet I drew him anyhow.”
The young Nobody giggled at Riku’s next question. “The Heartless seem to back off when Kairi’s is around. So I turned into her to make some of them fall back. I really didn’t want to deal with so many of them.” She closed her eyes, tilted her head, and smiled. “I guess it is because of the light in her heart.” The Nobody laughed at the blader calling her stubborn. A few heartless fell from the ceiling as the boy pounded the wall. Naminé looked at the Heartless with a neutral expression. She snapped her fingers and a horde of Dusks came rushing to her side taking out several Heartless.
The mention of Naminé partnering up with Riku made the Nobody turn her head sharply with her mouth half open. She hadn’t partner with him since when the two of them had worked together to restore Sora’s memory. She really hadn’t been considered a partner at that time either, it was more like being a slave to Diz’s will. She was use to be used like that and since she had returned from Kairi’s heart she had done this adventure alone. Well, she really couldn’t say that. She thought of the angel women that helped her fight the Heartless Horsemen. The thought of her made the Nobody smile to herself.
Naminé closed her mouth and looked at the boy…. No…..Young man standing in front of her. She surveyed him for a while. “I will partner with you.” She then said with her unchanging neutral expression. “I don’t know what you have to do here but I am happy to help. I just came to rest a bit. I have been through a lot of battles.” The Nobody then smiled. “You Keybladers make this fighting stuff look easy.” The young girl then got serious again. “But I have to wonder….” She hesitated. “Will you be able to return to the darkness and still keep your heart as it is now. You might have too. You might not be able to win as you are now. You will need all of your former dark powers to stand a chance. I can help you get them back. You can join me on missions and such, than you should slowly be able to get your powers back. You no longer have a weak heart and darkness isn’t always a bad thing. Without Darkness there can be no such thing as light. Those with hearts need both to be in balance.” The Dusks that Naminé had summoned had gathered in a circle around Riku and their master. They were creating a barrier so that the Heartless couldn’t get to the blader and the memory witch.

Riku listened to her. Horseman? He took the picture and looked at it, blinking. Strange... this picture seemed familiar...
But that could just be a side effect of the castle.
He handed back her sketchpad and sighed, a pensive look on his face. Darkness? He was no stranger to Darkness... he looked up to the next flight of stairs, then back to the girl in front of him. "Ok... I think I would be ready for that." he said, looking into her eyes. He knew why she said it. He knew why she had suggested it. She had seen these things up close and personal, had even fought against them. He trusted her, not only because she was a part of Kairi, but because as a separate being, she was kind at... heart. It was crazy to think that she had a heart, she was a Nobody. Even she said it herself. But, just like Roxas... she shows emotions she shouldn't even have access to. He turned and launched a Dark ball of fire into the hall behind him, where he came from, an explosion resounding in the chambers, several Heartless vanishing into dark wisps. "I'll join you, for sure, but you rest. I'll take care of the fighting from here on..." he stepped past her, and walked into the next room, which seemed to shift and change in front of him. He was standing in his Organization jacket again... strange.. He looked back at Namine, slightly confused, but not surprised. He figured, at some point, the Castle would activate. He filed through his memories, and was satisfied with everything he found. He held on to the memory of Sora, Kairi, The King... they would help him through this. Even if he faded entirely into Darkness. "Let's go. We're getting closer."

Naminé didn’t really know how to react to Riku only thinking he might be able to return to darkness. This wasn’t the time to be unsure of yourself. She could tell that Riku’s heart was strong even if he couldn’t see it himself. He had the power to overcome the darkness and use it to his advantage. He was probably the only person that could put the power of darkness to good use without losing himself in the processes. Despite his, what seemed to be a half hearted answer, the memory witch knew that when the time comes Riku would act. So she smiled at him and nodded.
The Dusks Nobodies, that Naminé had summoned to keep an eye on the approaching Heartless, jumped out of the way as Riku sent a Dark Ball of Fire into the Shadows. She watched as the Heartless vanished into a puff of smoke. Something came over the evolved Nobody as she witnessed the dark creatures fade back into the darkness. “That could happen to me if I am not careful.” She thought as a single tear streamed down her check. It was the tear of a person that was never suppose to exist. It was the tear of a person who wasn’t supposes to be able to cry. “One day I might return to Dusk. If that happens will anyone really care? Will I be missed? Will anyone cry for me?” The memory witch tilted her head down so that her bangs covered her eyes. She didn’t want to show Riku her tears.
Riku’s voice had reached Naminé’s ears. It was faint because the Nobody was only half listening. He told her to rest and that he would take over the fighting from now on. “But if I just rested and let him fight then want purpose do I service? Why am I even here if I can’t fight for what I believe in? What do I even believe in to begin with? Are my beliefs only shadows of Kairi’s? Do I and can I believe in what I want to believe in or am I just a puppet, a shadow to the people that created me? “ She thought as her tear reached her chin. She still kept her head down and just nodded to Riku in agreement with what he told her to do. That is what Kairi would have done…isn’t it…..she would just let Riku and Sora handle the tuff stuff? Naminé was nothing more the Kairi's shadow and like a good shadow she would have no choice but to follow her owner’s movements step by step.
As the tear fell from Naminé’s chin on to the marble white floor, the floor rippled as if it was water and the castle activated. The memory witch looked up when Riku walked passed her. She turned to him to see that he was once again in the Organization’s black jacket. “I don’t know what you are looking for.” She said as she tried to keep her voice steady. “But it will be awhile before you are back to your former powers. There are many battles you will have to fight, many people you will have to help, but if you call for me I will come running to help you succeed to the best of my abilities.” She looked into Riku’s eyes and was able to maintain her neutral expression. “You know what will happen if you go further in to this castle so be careful and don’t lose your heart. I can restore you memories afterwards but it won’t work to well if the chain has been broken too much.”
The Dusk Nobodies were ready and willing to fight some Heartless and started to walk slowly toward the door that leads you deeper into the castle. "Let's go. We're getting closer." Riku said. Naminé nodded and as she kept behind Riku she said under her breath “You have no Idea.”

Riku stepped forward and looked down, picking up a broken Soul Eater Replica. "Namine... perhaps I should tell you what I am looking for..." he looked at her, looked at her with eyes of understanding. "I see the Keyblade of People's Hearts."
His hair fell over his eyes as he looked down slightly, raising a finger up to wipe away a stray tear on her face. "I plan to end the tears of sorrow and pain... to keep them from flowing. To allow Sora and Kairi to move on and be happy... to give you and Roxas a chance to find Identity, and meaning... to give Ventus a chance to be with his friends." he looked up at her. "I would give my Heart for this. I would cease to be, just to make sure this war, this sickening evil ended... It was evident this silver haired keyblader had his mind made up. He was indeed tired of the evil resurfacing, the darkness being used to blot out the light. "Sora... is Light. And I... am Darkness. I will allow both Light and Darkness to come together to defeat these men and women who have stood against all that good stands for." he looked away, back towards where he found Soul Eater. "Even if I have to give up my Heart completely... I will end this. he knew he was close. Memories were strange things... you could conjure up physical objects from the past, including those that you had lost. If he found this Keyblade, this Keyblade capable of unlocking and releasing Hearts... well... he'd get to that portion of his plan when he gets there...
Honestly, he didn't find th outcome of his plan appealing, but he saw no other way.

Naminé tilted her head. “Keyblade….. of People's….. Hearts?” She had never heard of that before. Riku seemed to have his heart set on this Keyblade. When the memory witch looked into the young blader’s eyes she could see how serious he was. She admired the young man’s determination. When the young women looked at her companion closer she noticed that he seemed to be shaken. His bangs fell passed his eye level as he tilted his head to look at her. His hand rose to her pale cheek to wipe a tear that managed to cling to her eyelashes. She blushed slightly as he wiped it away.
Naminé listened to Riku speak about his plans. It worried her a little because it sounded like he was giving a goodbye speech. It was like he was telling her all this in case something happened to him then she could go on and tell everyone that this was the way he wanted to live his life. When he mentioned Ventus she tilted her head once again. She had no idea who this Ventus person was, but he must be pretty important to the young Keyblader. She was half attempted to as who he was but Riku wasn’t finished explaining himself.
"I would give my Heart for this. I would cease to be, just to make sure this war, this sickening evil ended... Sora... is Light. And I... am Darkness. I will allow both Light and Darkness to come together to defeat these men and women who have stood against all that good stands for. Even if I have to give up my Heart completely... I will end this.”
Those words flowed through Naminé’s veins like ice. “You would…you would give your own heart?” She asked as if she was unsure of what she just heard. The memory witch’s face went from sadness to anger. “You are so stupid!” She busted out on Riku, yelling at him as tears flooded her face again. “What would giving your heart accomplish? What good would that do?” She sniffed. “ You say you want to end the tears of sorrow and pain, but if you cease to exist then that would only cause more tears, more sorrow! Think of Sora and Kairi!” A strange feeling shot through the Nobody when she mentioned Kairi. But was even more surprising that it was a feeling, she wasn’t suppose to have those…or be able to cry for that matter…yet she was getting angry and crying. “You are not the only one that wants to see the fighting stop! Why do you think you have to do this by yourself?! Why can’t you ask for help every once in awhile?! This fight belongs to everyone! So stop thinking that it all falls on your shoulders!” Naminé grabbed the front of Riku’s coat and cried into it. “YOU ARE SO STUPID!!!!!!!”

[OOC:Forgive the short post. I REALLY WANTED TO REPLY, so I did. XD I'll do better next time. Promise.]
Riku about fell over at her sudden, uncharacteristic display of anger and sorrow. This surprised him, shocked him even. Where did this come from? She shouted at him, the words echoing through the halls of the Castle. He was utterly speechless by the time she had begun crying into his memory-born coat, as he looked down at her. He brought one arm up and patted her back, eyes closed. What else could he do? What was there that was left? This was a last resort. After almost constantly fighting to no end, to no mean, he was fresh out of ideas. He sighed and opened his eyes and looked down at her. "Naminé." he said quietly. "I... I'm sorry. You're right, I should have asked." he said, knowing she was right. But then again, there was always more than one right answer to any problem. "I suppose I was just so used to not asking for help, I just... didn't" He looked behind him as another door had opened. This place... what was it up to now? He narrowed his eyes and looked back at Naminé. "Alright... let's do this together. You and me. We'll help each other in this fight... and we'll win." he looked down at her, awaiting her response to his sudden compromise.

Naminé glanced up at Riku. Well that was easy; in the memory witch’s opinion a little too easy. She was planning to keep a close eye on the Keyblader. She knew that he had a tendency to say one thing but do another. It was hard to read this young man’s heart. She could only hope and wish that he ends up doing the right thing, whatever the right thing might be. Her tears began to dry up as she looked in to the blader’s eyes. Now wasn’t the time to for this. The two of them were surrounded by Heartless and even though the creatures didn’t pose a threat to the young memory witch, do to the fact that she had no heart, she was more worried about the Keyblader.
Naminé let go of Riku’s jacket just when a door suddenly opened behind the young blader. She peeked around his shoulder to see what had caused the door to act. Nothing was there. It seemed as if the castle was acting on its own. “That is strange. I didn’t think the castle could do that.” She said as Riku had turned his head too. “Normally the castle is just an amplifier for my powers and it’s my powers that ran the show….At least that is what I use to think.” She said with a rather convincing look of concern for someone who didn’t have a heart.
"Alright... let's do this together. You and me. We'll help each other in this fight... and we'll win." Riku voice flooded the Nobodies ears. Naminé looked back up at the boy. Fighting and win wasn’t exactly something that she was good at, yet she still seemed to find herself on the other side of someone else’s Keyblade, weapon, or magic power. The strange tingling sensation came back into her hand. She shook it to try and make it stop. All the Heartless sudden rushed past the two unlikely friends into the open door. The memory witch’s ears began to ring. It was like something was calling out to her and the strange tingling rush her entire body. She grabbed her ears to stop the ringing but whatever was calling her wasn’t about to quiet down. She fell to her knees and doubled over as more Heartless passed them and head for the door. After a few moments passed the ring stopped but the tingling continued. The Nobody could deal with that and stood back up. “This castle is more than meets the eye. I don’t even think the Organization members knew of the power that it holds.” She said to Riku as she looked at the open door. “If they would have known more about this place, then I have a feeling Sora and you would have never made it out of here with your hearts. This castle has a spell on it; one that can only be broken by the person who cast it. This place is connected to you, Sora, and Kairi somehow. So be careful.” She said. She had no idea how she knew that. A voice in her head was telling her what to say and her mouth was saying it.
Naminé walked towards the door. It made more sense to her to go first just in case something would attack the moment they walked throw the door. If she got hurt it wouldn’t have matter but if Riku would get hurt then it would be a loss for all the worlds that need his help. As the memory witch got closer to the door the tingling intensified. As she crossed the threshold she was greeted with the binding neon lights of Traverse Town. The tingling had returned to her right hand only leaving the rest of her body alone. She looked around the town when her reflection in one of the store’s windows caught her attention. Her hair was a brownish pink color instead of blond and her white dress had turned into to pink zip up jumper dress! She had somehow turned into her other half without using power to do it. She looked at herself in total surprise. It seemed as if the infamous Castle Oblivion had two subjects in mind for whatever it was planning.

Riku watched her try and go first and quickly followed, seeing her turn into Kairi's form as his clothes changed in a flash once again, now reflecting what he wore earlier, the yellow shirt/blue baggy pants combo he was rather fond of. He shook his head, realizing the worst had happened, but then again... was it the worst? Panic rose in his throat but he pushed it back down, looking around at the now unfamiliar place. It was a... town... but...
"N-Namine. Where are we?" he managed to choke out.
He knew they were in Castle Oblivion, and that memories were lost here. Now, that he was in this room, he knew that his memory was the cost to bring him here... He looked and saw the faded shadows of Sora and himself vanish, Maleficent's form following the disappearance. Riku turned around, but found no door.
"No... turning back." he said, realizing that he most likely just made his biggest, and final mistake.

The wicked shape of Maleficent grew, until it was as tall and terrifying as she was. Emanating darkness, the figure turned and revealed something most peculiar. This was not the dark fairy, Maleficent, for within her vestments were several Soldier Heartless which stood on each other's shoulders, filling most of the garment. Their "tower" leaned this way and that, as they struggled to keep their balance. It wasn't long until the poor Heartless on the bottom stumbled, sending them crashing to the ground. They laid for a moment, dazed. But a booming voice sent them scrambling for every dark corner, alley, and street.
Ansem emerged from a nearby alleyway. "Heh. Is it any wonder as to why I chose to devote my life to the research of these fascinating creatures?" His footsteps seemed to echo throughout town and ring in Riku and Naminés' ears. Ansem didn't wait long for a response. "To think that it has been nearly four years, since we were last gathered here." He kept a slow pace, and took the time to carefully enunciate his words, as he made his way across the plaza. "To think that... You both tried to kill me, and nearly succeeded. That I was cast into the depths of Riku's heart, where I remained in agony, until that light finally brought me the oblivion I sought. And after many more years, in darkness, I have returned." Ansem stopped and turned; his back to Gizmo Shop. He glanced over Riku and Naminé, and then smiled.
"Riku, Naminé. Welcome to Traverse Town's Second District!" He gestured around him with a wide motion, and as he did so a great commotion could be heard. For in every window, alley, and on every rooftop stood a great number of Heartless, of every type imaginable. They were all jumping up and down, stomping their feet, and slamming on the ground with their fists. Together they produced a deafening roar that could inspire fear in the bravest of warriors, for their number could be easily estimated in the thousands. There was even several Darkside Heartless, which loomed over rooftops in the distance. It was no wonder why there were so few Heartless in Castle Oblivion; they were all gathered here. Only Ansem the Seeker of Darkness and Supreme Leader of the Heartless could call this large a force.
"Or at least, I would like to welcome you to its facsimile." With a raise of his hand, the Heartless grew quiet. "Riku, I once thought that only you could stand against a force of several thousand. So imagine my astonishment, when I hear that this girl wouldn't... "go down without taking seven or eight thousand Heartless". I'm eager to see if you speak the truth." Ansem signaled at the Heartless, and all at once they began to pour out of their hiding places. Their charge lasted for but a moment, as he stopped them with another signal. "But, of course, I already know the truth. My mind is not so dead from my time in the void, that I can no longer interpret a jest."
Ansem's voice grew calm; his smile long faded, with no signs of return; as he crossed his arms over his chest. The bluff charge was hardly for his amusement; It was meant to prove to the couple that the Heartless could respond more than fast enough, should they attempt an escape. He wanted them to realize that they were at his mercy and that they didn't have much other a choice than to talk with him. "Have either of you considered why this place would choose Traverse Town? I doubt that it holds any real significance in your memories. But, really. What better a venue than the Realm of in-between, for a boy who can't decide between light and darkness, and a girl who can't seem to determine her own existence?" It was obvious that Riku was foremost in Ansem's thoughts, but he was not about to cast Naminé aside.

Naminé waited for Riku to follow her throw the door. As the boy walked next to her she tore her eyes way from her new reflection as Kairi and looked at the boy. He was no longer wearing the organization cloak but instead was back to his original outfit. The young Nobody that was now the spitting image of her other half looked around. “I-I was hoping you would know.” She answered Riku. “It is a place from Sora’s memories….” She paused and looked directly at the Keyblader. “….and yours, but other than that I am afraid I don’t know much about it.”
Naminé/Kairi looked around just as curiously as Riku did. A Shadow appeared at the corner of the young girls eyes. She whipped around half expecting the shadow to disappear the moment she got it in her sights but to her surprise it didn’t. In fact, Riku was also looking at the creature. He seemed to know what it was. She half saw him turn around behind him to see if they could leave but she kept her eyes on the shadow. It all of the sudden turned into several clumsy Soldiers. The memory witch raised her eyebrow in confusion as the Heartless fell over and scrambled away. “Ooooookay?” She said as she tilted her head.
A voice loudly rang through Naminé/Kairi’s ears. The tingling in her hand was now creeping up her arm. She covered her ears and looked around franticly to see where the voice was being dispensed from. She found the source when she looked toward a big building they laid straight ahead of her. Standing in front of the stain glass windows was a strange man, who oddly enough knew who she was. The man made an over dramatic gesture around and welcomed the two young teens. His movements and speech reminded the young girl of the Xemnas. She stepped back as a load commotion filled the streets of the town. Her eyes laid on a fearfully sight of a thousand heartless as the man motioned.
With a rise of the stranger’s hand the heartless fell silent. Naminé/Kairi removed her hands from her ears and listened to what the man said. Her whole arm tingled so much that she could barely stand it but she did her best to ignore it and keep her concentration on the newcomer with his powers to control the Heartless. She side looked Riku with a half glare as the stranger reiterated the words of the blader when he mentioned that she too could take down many Heartless. She personally didn’t think that was true considering that she has lost every battle that she was in so far.
Naminé/Kairi turned her attention back the stranger. “Are you saying you know why the castle is acting this way?” Naminé said in her normal angelic voice that seemed airy and yet lacking any other emotions. “I didn’t think that there was anyone who could understand how this castle worked, so what makes you so special?” The man’s presents was starting to be familiar to the girl that was now in pink. She remembered sensing this presents inside of Riku’s heart once before. He was making her uneasy but she was more worried about how Riku was going to react to him; plus the army of Heartless didn’t help either.
The disguised memory witch clenched her fist partly to try to stop the annoying tingle and partly as a nervous tick to try to control what her Blader friend might do, much like a passenger stepping on an invisible break petal when the driver is going too fast. As the young girl tightened her fists she thought she caught a flash of light and it felt like there was something in her hand. The feeling and the flash freaked her out and she opened her hand as if she was going to drop something. When she looked down there was nothing there. She looked back at the stranger as four names came back to her. “Xehanort, Terra, Xemnas……Ansem.” She said in total recall. Her bright blue eyes looked at the man intently in its typical intense gaze. Even though her eyes were the eyes of Kairi; for one moment the memory witch shined out of them, piercing through the soulless creature that stood before her. She had no idea who some of them names she just spoke belonged to. “You are the one who took the name of your master when you once had a heart. You are the one who keeps haunting Riku’s heart. You are Ansem the Seeker of Darkness….am I right?” With every word Naminé spook her voice got darker and darker. She wanted to run after this man for putting her friends through the hell but she knew that this man wasn’t hers to fight. “How do you know who I am?” She said as her fists clenched once more. And once again she saw a flash of light and once again it felt as if she was holding an object in her hand. She didn’t bother to look down. She kept her eyes on the man and the thousands of Heartless with her fist clenched over an object that she didn’t think would be there if she looked down. “What do you want from us?”

Riku had seen Ansem before in nightmares. They weren't constant, by any means, but they were always the same thing. Ansem's smug face, smirking at him as he was smothered in the Darkness...
Now, it seemed, those nightmares are becoming reality. Riku stared as he materialized, and for the entire time both he and Namine spoke, he stood there, shell shocked. His fists slowly clenched as he stepped forward , putting himself closer to Ansem than Namine, and put his arm out in front of her in to protect her. He didn't by any means think she was weak, especially since he saw the telltale signs of a certain weapon materializing in her hand... as a matter of fact Riku was more shocked about Ansem's appearance than he was about the sudden appearance of this weapon, so he only addressed her with a slow nod, choosing to speak as well.
So. You're back. he said quietly, slowly walking forward towards the Seeker of Darkness. I'd like to say that I missed you, but yeah... I'm certain you know how I feel already. I was once you, after all. he took another step forward, The Way to the Dawn appearing in his hand. He finally locked eyes with the penultimate Heartless, the progenitor of his kind.
The one weakness that Riku had.
Riku's Heart pounded in his chest, and he felt an odd longing for this sort of Darkness. He remembered the power... oh the power he had. Yes.. he was a very capable warrior, even as a boy because of this Darkness..
No. He said quietly, looking down. I... already chose between Light and Darkness. I chose to be the one in between. I chose my friends over you! he shouted the last sentence, raising his Keyblade towards Ansem, both fear and adrenaline flowing through him like a wildfire. Sora defeated you once... and in his name, and the name of my friends, I'll stop you right here, and right now.
Sora... Kairi...
Namine...
His closest friends suffered because of this man. Now, despite the terror that clutched his Heart, the sense of foreboding that pulled on the back of Riku's mind, spelling his doom, he stepped up to defeat his greatest adversary. But they were surrounded. Namine is more than capable of handling herself now. They can work as a team.
He turned slightly and looked at Namine, smirking a little, giving her a look that said Let's show him together.

Ansem stood above Naminé, much taller than the girl. He stared down at her and responded in a tone that was equally lacking in emotions. "Of course I do. My friend built this castle. She passed away, long ago, imparting her secrets as she did." The Seeker of Darkness wasn't telling the whole truth. "I assume she returned around the same time I did. Maybe you'll get the chance to meet her someday, if you survive." His eyes flashed and narrowed, but they soon returned to his normal emotionless expression. His emotionlessness did not last long though, a wry smile formed on his face. He scoffed at Naminé's keyblade, for the moment it was there. Then he spoke in a pleased tone, intrigued by her words and the blade. "All names that my likenesses have gone by, though the last one belongs to me. I am Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness. It's good to hear that, after all these years. For as long as someone holds that name in their mind, I can keep coming back. It's proof that my quest hasn't finished, that there's so much more to be studied..."Ansem's expression quickly faded back to emotionlessness. His bright orange eyes, forever stained by darkness, gazed back into her eyes and into her very soul. "You're right. How do I know who you are? You look like Kairi, you dress like her, you act like her, you talk like her, and you even seem to carry the same things as she does." He glanced at the weapon in her hand. "Who's to say you're not Kairi? Maybe that's what we should call you, 'Kairi'. Because, really, who can view you as anything but a replacement for Kairi? How can you claim to be individual, to care or be cared for, to love or be loved, without a heart?"Ansem guessed at her feelings, "I don't want anything from you. How can I ask anything of a girl with no heart, that shouldn't even exist? But I think you want something from me. Maybe when you decide to be Naminé again and you pretend to muster up the courage to speak about the things you desire most, you can come to me with the wish that your current form and weapon betray." It was then that Riku stepped forward, extending his arm to protect Naminé. The Heartless could sense the fear coursing through both of them, he would soon prey on it. Ansem smirked at Riku's words, eyeing the Way to Dawn, the keyblade that looked so very curiously like the sword he had given the boy. Their eyes locked, but Ansem's betrayed no emotion, unlike Riku's, which seemed to eagerly display a mix of fear, shock, and fury. The greatest weakness he had? No, Ansem was Riku's greatest strength. He could feel the boy's longing for darkness, a feeling perhaps half inspired by Ansem's own aura of darkness. "I know what you've chosen." The Seeker of Darkness' face relaxed, as he softly spoke. "It's that choice that makes you so valuable. I've come to realize that, and your need for your 'friends'. However..."Ansem slowly lifted off the ground, using his ability of levitation. As he did, the surrounding Heartless began to retreat, silently moving back, they did not wish to interfere with the coming battle. "Did Sora defeat me? Tell me, who did he fight? He fought you and me, with the light in your heart constantly holding me back. Sora never fought me at full strength, and in the end, it was the light of Kingdom Hearts that banished me. Even when you fought me, you fought but a mere shell brought to life by a card. Now I stand before you, fully recovered. Knowing that... Can you really take the risk of fighting me?""I'm afraid that choice is out of your hands." Slowly he extended his right arm, raising his hand to the sky, where a weapon appeared in a cloud of darkness. The weapon was larger than even Ansem, yet he seemed to wield it effortlessly in one hand, hinting that the man was much more powerful than he might seem. The weapon consisted of two great demonic wings with eyes, which joined them to the haft which connected the opposite facing blades. This weapon was a variant of the Soul Eater sword that Riku had wielded long ago, a large double-bladed spear that looked impossibly heavy. Lowering the blade, Ansem approached, gently floating down the stairs that separated them. In an instant, his speed increased. A blazing hemisphere of darkness surrounded him as he flew towards the two 'keybladers'. Dangerously fast, he had used this move in the past against Sora and Riku, even recently using it against the SOLDIER, Sephiroth, who was caught off-guard by its ferocity. With Riku and Naminé standing together, he wondered if they could dodge it in time, without getting in each other's way.
Dark Rush A scintillating hemisphere of darkness materializes instantly, covering Ansem's leading sides (top, bottom, sides, and front) from attacks. Protected by the barrier, Ansem will charge recklessly towards his target. Once hit, the target will slide over the curvature of the darkness and be flung into the air. However, the awesome speed of the attack is also its weakness, as Ansem can be spent spiraling back by a solid defense [Duration: 1. Cooldown: 2]
