In her ten years of her lonely wandering in the universe, there has been few worlds where certain beauty has taken her breath away but this world had felt familiar to her as soon as she walked out the corridor of darkness that is still behind her. Her mind reasoned that it was because of the cold air but Selena's heart knew that her home world was much colder than this by far and it left a nostalgic stain inside her heart.
Closing the corridor behind her with a wave of her hand, Selena pulled down the hood of a recently bought cloak from the previous world to feel the chilly water vapor. Although this dark keybearer won't admit it out loud, she missed the cloak that had been destroyed by a certain Remnant and had felt insecure uncomfortable without it. While others may have worn cloaks for stealth (and failing at it), to protect themselves from the elements, or even to look 'cool', Selena wore hers because she wanted to hide in plain sight. Although the soft velvet material can rip and tear from any sharp object or powerful technique that could leave her body broken, it was her preferred armor over her own heart.
Her silver eyes studied the strange waterfalls (The water is rising up instead of down...Why?) as a sense of calm relaxes her body almost to the point that anyone could see the 'bulge' that her wings had created against the fabric of her cloak if they were staring from behind. The cloak had uncomfortably prevented her wings from stretching out to their full wingspan and realization had them flattened against her back once again. Nobody would have taken ebony wings very lightly if they had known the story behind them.
Selena had found it strange that none of the Heartless had appeared to fight her so there had been no need to summon the Heartsickness keyblade. Maybe it was from all of this Light that I am sensing here...reasoned the dark keybearer as she walked down the stairs before gracefully jumping down platform to platform to reach the larger one below. It was in front of one of the pillars close to the pool of water that she had sat down and leaned against after pulling the hood back up to cover her head.
At first glance, one would assume that Selena was asleep. That assumption would be correct as she had decided to take a short nap. However, this dark keybearer is a light sleeper so anyone who dares to wake her, beware.[LT:Epica - Consign to Oblivion]

Tainted light. That's what Terra thought of as he pondered the current smell of Hollow Bastion. Since he had last come to this world, when it was Radiant Garden, the castle had taken a much darker appearance. He could even still smell the lingering darkness from either someone or something horrible that had once inhabited the castle.
However, that wasn't the only thing he had noticed. He could also smell a great source of light that had once visited the castle. He doubted it made the castle its home, as the scent wasn't as strong. At this moment, he could smell another powerful dark figure. This one was close. Maybe even outside the castle.
Terra heard the door shut behind him as he walked outside the castle. The fresh cool air felt good against his exposed face and arm. The castle had a stale feel to it, especially in the library he had visited. He slowly walked towards the waterfall where he had entered the world. That also seemed to be where the smell of darkness was coming from.
Terra boarded the platform that would take him to the falls. A few short moments later he was standing on a blue stone staring out at a cloaked figure. Something looked a little off, though.
"Are those wings?"[/b]
With one huge leap, the earthen keyblader landed on the center platform, just a dozen feet away from the cloaked figure. For a few moments his simply stood there taking in the figure in front of him. She appeared to be asleep, but he found it odd that she decided to sleep in an upright position. He noticed because of the physique it was obvious that the cloaked figure was a female.
A quick sniff easily told him that this was in fact the darkness he sensed moments ago. That was a shame. He would try to get her to leave the world before he would force her off. He wanted to keep the castle as pure as he could, even if, like his own heart, it was stained with the darkness that had once inhabited it.
"Excuse me, but you're going to have to leave this world. This is no longer a place for the darkness."[/b]
All that was left was to wait and see if it would be that easy, or if he'd have to use his keyblade to get him out of this one. Even if he wasn't yet a keyblade master, he could still use a keyblade with a high proficiency.

The sound of the water rising up the falls was like a lullaby to this dark keybearer's ear as it lulled her into a slightly deeper sleep than she normally allowed herself to. The ghost of a smile that revealed her contentment in the cold was hidden by the shadow of her hood and a crack in her own cold emotionless mask. For about an hour, Selena had been able to sleep when an unfamiliar voice ruined her nap. That smile had disappeared in less than a second and was replaced by her usual emotionless mask.
The hooded keybearer was quick to wake up even though she had kept her upright sitting position. Her eyes had snapped open in an instant while her body tensed as he(The voice had a deeper tone than a female.) asked about her wings despite that fact that she was sure that they were hidden by the velvet cloak. Whoever had dared to awaken her was lucky that she had not summoned her poisonous keyblade and slash him right off the bat. Instinctively, Selena folded them uncomfortably against her back as she stood up to face the unknown stranger and folded her arms across her chest as she did so.
"It might be so but it's also a place for rest."answered Selena as she ignored the first question entirely. If she had played her cards right, then this dark keybearer would appear that she had not heard the first question at all.
From under the hood, it was easy for her to see that he was a warrior from his physique but noted that he seemed to carry no weapon. However, the man's own words gave away the fact that he did not belong to this world either. "Who are you to decide who can stay and who should leave when you are not of this world yourself?"asked Selena coldly but with no intention of starting a fight.[LT:System of a Down - Soldier Side]

His world was no more. Xehanort had been responsible for that, but that was not relevant here. The creature of darkness had spoken and asked him why he chose who could stay and who could go. Terra was taken aback for a moment, although you couldn't tell by gauging his appearance. That's what Terra was good at, keeping an iron face despite whatever was going on around him.
"Trust me, I do not belong here either, but I can help this place grow by ridding the dark stains that ruin its surface. I am Terra, Keyblade Apprentice of Master Eraqus."[/b]
Master Eraqus. He still grieved for the loss of his master all those years ago. Its funny, he shunned his former master to open his arms to Xehanort when the man who denied him as a Master was right all along. Xehanort had been responsible for leading Terra down his dark path, and he had his eyes set on revenge. That, however, was not important right now.
He had clearly agitated the dark creature, and he began to doubt that he was going to leave Hollow Bastion unscathed. With a flash, his keyblade, Gaia Bane, appeared at his side. Terra let it rest against the ground, but he kept a firm grip on the handle, just in case.
"I'm going to ask you one last time to leave. I don't ask a third time, so consider this a warning."[/b]
He really didn't want a fight here, so he silently prayed that the dark warrior in front of him would leave the castle. Ansem the Wise still owned this castle, and he'd be damned if he let the darkness take it back over. He would see that this affair ended as quickly as possible, to avoid any damage to the castle itself. It already looked like it had been severely mistreated by whomever last inhabited its walls. the warrior in front of him would not mistreat this castle further.

Selena was a lonely traveler who had no map to guide her to her own home world no matter how cold it may have been. It had been her birth place and even when everyone else had hated her, she had her own mother and younger twin to lean on until her mother was murdered in front of her own eyes and the Heartless attack that separated her from her twin and home in the midst of the chaos. Ten years ago, this young keybearer had been forced to learn how to stand on her own feet without anyone's guidance except her own Heart, her mother's promise, and the trials that came with the wings and the keyblade.
At Selena's unbelievably young age at the time, her Heart had accepted the Darkness out of grief, sorrow and the hope of using it to return home. As a result of her past, Selena closed off her Heart and traveled the worlds in solitude where everyone she met is either considered an enemy or an acquaintance.
"Artemis. You called us 'stains' meaning that there had been others from the Dark once upon a time that have done damage to this world. So why confuse me with the last bunch who had sent it to hell and back when I have no interest in this world's affairs?"calmly stated the cloaked keybearer as she introduced herself as her false identity and first lie effortlessly(Her other armor covering her Heart.) before stealing a glance at his Gaia Bane keyblade in recognition, "...Hn. Another keybearer...." It was stated with a mild hint of interest her voice but no fear of the blade itself.
In the past, 'Artemis' had met other keybearers, namely Kairi, Riku and Sora, but she was only aware that Sora was one due to the fact that she had never witnessed Kairi or Riku using their keys. Actually, she was only on a first name basis with Sora and Kairi but not with Riku due to the fact that he was playing with the stranger who somehow managed to maintain human form while he, Kairi and herself were stuck in wildcat form.
Despite the warning gesture, the dark keybearer hadn't felt the need to summon her own keyblade and cause mayhem. She had no intention of leaving but clearly did not want to fight Terra either. So the dark keybearer simply stayed where she was in the same position in front of the pillar across from the keyblade apprentice.

At first it seemed that 'Artemis' was trying to ignore Terra. He had just given her one final warning. He had told her that if she didn't leave Hollow Bastion, then Terra would be forced to act. Unfortunately, she stood there, at least until she finally spoke. She wondered why she was confused with other dark beings to come to the castle. Apparently, she had no use for the world. That did not matter, not to Terra. He had to redeem himself, and ridding Hollow Bastion of this being seemed to be perfect way to start.
"I do not know who previously ruined this castle, but I can tell you that no one else will. Even if you mean no harm, your presence alone is enough to ruin this world. I've warned you twice now, so you have five seconds before I remove you myself."[/b]
What happened next almost confused Terra. She simply stood still. It was almost as if she was either caught deep into thought, or indecisive regarding the ultimatum he had given her. He waited almost a full minute before he acted. He really did not want to fight here, but he needed to start to make up for all the wrong he had done.
Terra finally decided it was time to act. Hopefully, this would scare her off. He dashed the couple feet between them and performed a diagonal slash from the bottom right towards the top left. He then hit a combo with a direct vertical slash that almost caused a shockwave as his smashed against the rock face.
The entire time he attacked the warrior named 'Artemis,' he kept his eyes locked on the cloaked warrior. Something still seemed off to him. For some reason, he felt he shouldn't underestimate her. He knew a warrior who could stand this still in the face of a keyblader could defend herself. He kept himself in a ready position, waiting for whatever 'Artemis' would send his way. He had just initiated conflict with a warrior he should have feared. Too bad Terra doesn't have many fears.

The cloaked keybearer had remained still to see Terra's reaction to her subtle action and she could have sworn that he was confused. "So you assume that the presence of even one citizen of the dark who has no desire to destroy would lay ruin to this world as soon as your back is turned?"asked 'Artemis' calmly as if she was not surprised by his choice of words and she wasn't to say the least. The woman had already made up her mind and she was going to fight him but wasn't going to be the one to trigger the battle.
She was aware that her five seconds were up but had taken notice that he had waited at least a minute before attacking. 'Artemis' quickly reacted by shifting to the left to dodge the first attack. It had barely given her enough time to summon her poisonous keyblade to her hand to parry off the combo before allowing her Heartsickness to meet his Gaia Bane. Normally the hooded keybearer would need only her right hand to hold her blade but she had taken precaution by wielding it with both hands. A good thing too, the force of impact between the blades had almost forced her to her knees.
The cloaked keybearer had never taken her silver eyes off his as she used her thorny keyblade to push away Terra's keyblade before performing a combo of her own then a horizontal slash. He should have feared her poisoned keyblade and the wielder whose curse power of Heart's Blood is the main ingredient of the temporary poison. However, she was holding back by not using the power that usually fuels the poison and had no intention of using it at all.

The clashing of their blades had taught Terra a lot. Its funny, he could have written a book based on a two second offense. First, she was fast. That much could easily be seen as it took him less than a second to close the distance, and another nano-second to slash upwards.
She countered the second slash by connected it with a...keyblade?! Terra thought he knew of every keybearer there was, but it looks like someone changed the answer sheet without telling him. She used both hands to counter his attack, and it seemed like she made the right move as he overpowered her. That wasn't suprising, given her small stature.
Terra quickly flipped backwards to take this in for a second. Good thing too, because she countered with a horizontal slash that would have hit him directly in the breast plate. He had to completely rewrite his strategy now that he knew she was in fact a keybearer.
That's when the perfect idea hit him. He would have to combine all of his strengths to topple her, even if it didn't seem like she had her all into this battle. He would also have to begin to expect the unexpected. Each keyblader he faced previously had outstanding abilities, and he was sure she was no different. He also had his own powers, and they would be the key to winning this skirmish.
"I was hoping you would take this opportunity to leave. I'm sorry, but I will not back down. Even if you mean no harm."[/b]
Terra darted straight for Selena. Right before he came withing striking distance he performed a dash to the right. He jumped in midair and thrusted his keyblade in front of his body. Six small spheres of orange earthen energy formed around the tip of the keyblade. The entire volley then fired towards 'Artemis,' homing towards her exact location. He repeated this with three more volleys to complete his Ragnarok technique. The Shoot Lock would be extremely difficult to dodge as they even curved to meet a quick dodge.
Terra knew that wouldn't be enough to finish off the mysterious keyblader. He focused the energy and released a bronze colored aura about an inch from his body. He suddenly felt his muscles flex and he knew that the added strength would help immensely in his efforts to combat the cloaked keybearer.
He now dashed directly towards 'Artemis' and slashed at her with a five slash combo: Horizonal slash(left to right), top right to bottom left, upwards vertical slash, top left to bottom right, and 360 spin slash from the right. Following the attack he jumped high and the air and slammed his keyblade into the ground creating an enormous shockwave that extended halfway across the rockface.
Terra now looked up towards Selena with a face that looked to be carved out of granite. His determination was absolute, and he knew he would not give up as he looked onwards to see the results of his onslaught.

Selena knew she had the element of surprise when their keyblades met and wasn't disappointed when he had flipped backwards to avoid her slash. The cloaked keybearer was actually glad because she normally did not like hurting anyone (except the Heartless) with her keyblade which she knew could take down a huge Heartless with well-aimed attacks if done with the aid of the poison.
She took advantage of the few extra moments Terra had given her while his mind worked on a strategy by pulling out a potion from her cloak pocket and drank it to temporarily renew her strength before putting the empty vial back in that same pocket as there was no need to litter. Did the keybearer before 'Artemis' believe that she had not arrived at this world in full strength?
"You don't sound 'sorry'."replied Selena as she dodged to the left to the potential strike of the keyblade and from under the hood, her silver eyes widened as she recognized the element the spheres Terra had thrown at her. Why was it okay for him, one who is able to use the Dark power, to dwell in a world of Light while she was apparently banned? It did not make any sense to her at all.
Determined to face Terra head-on, her right hand tightened it's grip on her keyblade as she slashed away the first fifteen spheres of darkness in perfect rhythm but the last nine shots had hit her in the abdomen due to a misstep. It had left her lost for breath as Selena realized that he wasn't holding back and she shouldn't either. The earthen-colored aura surrounding the warrior was proof of that.
Suddenly a blood-red 'flame' was surrounding the Heartsickness as she held her ground to face Terra who had darted toward her. She manages to parry off three of the slashes but the 360 spin slash had caused the dark keybearer to stumble a bit and with a unladylike grunt, she was hit in the side by the previous one. 'Artemis' quickly noted Terra's sudden disappearance and instinctively jumps away to the top of one of the pillars as she assumed that he was going to do a finishing blow to the previous combo.
However, the shock wave had caused her to stumble then fell forward off it with a startled cry and the hood flies off of her head. As the woman landed on her knees, Selena glances in Terra's direction with a grim but determined expression in her silver eyes as she stands back up. Not giving herself a chance to catch her breath, the dark keybearer darted toward her opponent as her keyblade was dragged against the rock surface, sending sparks everywhere as it was sharpened.
The cloaked keybearer lifted the keyblade up and performed a triple-slash combo consisting of a vertical (down to up) slash to a diagonal (left to right) then to a horizontal (right to left) slash. 'Artemis' jumps back for distance and the blood-colored 'flame' turns silver as she concentrates for an technique that had not been used in a long while for legitimate reason. However, it would take some time for her to gain enough focus for it.

For the most part, Terra's attacks were a success. He managed to not only suprise the dark keyblader, but he dealt pretty heavy damage to the cloaked keymaster. He was especially pleased with the damage his Ragnarok dealt. Not to meantion, his Critical Impact provided a powerful blow to his adversary.
He was able to formulate the next step in his amazing plan to dismiss the source of darkness in the area. Before he could act, however, Selena decided it was in her best interest to perform a counter attack. He did notice her keyblade emit a flame of some sorts before she attacked. Was that flame blood red?...Yes it was.
That wasn't the only thing he noticed. The hood had been removed from the keyblader's cranium. He noticed bright silver eyes and extremely dark hair. Not to mention the face he definitely took for cute. If this had been better circumstances, he probably would have befriended the girl he mistook for young.
Unfortunately, the situation called for a much different approach. He wasn't going to allow himself to be influenced by the darkness anymore. He had already chosen his path, the path of redemption. Selena would be the first to taste reformed light. That's when 'Artemis' decided to act.
She darted forward with a three slash combo. The first slash caught him off guard and hit his left shoulder. Terra managed to barely dodge the second swing as it crossed his chest. The final swing was parried with ease as he was somehow able to predict the swing.
What happened next definitely caught Terra off guard. She stepped back and changed the color of her blade's aura from red to silver. He figured it meant a strong attack was coming, but that was of no concern. Terra had much stronger attacks then Ragnarok and Critical Impact. He decided he'd use one of those now.
He released his bronze aura for a different one. This aura was pitch black with the smell of darkness. This was his Dark Impulse. The power came not only with his immense newfound strength, but with the blasts of darkness fired from each swing. He dashed forward with a horizontal (left to right) cross-body swing. He then continued by flipping over 'Artemis while keeping his blade extended for a vertical-360 slash. He finally finished with a powerful bottom right to top left slash that used his weight to speed the swing of his blade. Not only did Selena have to worry about the swing of the blade, but also the darkness released towards her with each swing.
He wasn't quite finished yet. He still had a powerful attack her mentally promised his foe. He leaped in mid-air and, with a bright flash, his keyblade transformed into a large cannon. At the tip, a focused blast of orange light began forming. He charged a huge concentration of his energy into this cannon and launched it with a powerful beam. His Ultima Cannon was on a crash course for Selena.

Terra was incorrect when he had thought that silver Blood meant it was stronger than the crimson color. Silver just happened to be her favored color of the two and the crimson flame was draining her too much. The use of her curse power, Heart's Blood, plus Terra's attacks were already taking a toll on her. 'Artemis' knew that those hits were going to leave fresh and painful bruises the next day.
Not to mention that the keybearer in front of her had already taken a hit from her Heartsickness keyblade meaning that he should be feeling the effects of the poison soon. Selena had already begun to feel guilty already for it but didn't dare to let it show on her face.
He was also incorrect about her and the Darkness. Why does everyone mix up Evil with Darkness? They're completely different![/i]wondered Selena as she looked toward Terra in time to notice that the color of his aura changed from bronze to one that was familiar to her. Her concentration was broken as realization told her that the warrior in front of her was a user of the Dark even when he was defending a world of Light.
"Ack!" cried out Selena as she somehow managed to bend backward far enough to perform a perfect 'limbo' for Terra's horizontal slash but the action had left her vulnerable for the 360 slash. The dark keybearer had barely reacted fast enough to block the third slash but the force of impact between their blades had knocked her to the ground toward the ledge with a sharp pain and a loud crack from her back as she landed on her wings. The hits from the darkness of each of his attack she had taken didn't help her much either as the last hit had forced 'Artemis' to lose her grip of the keyblade.
I come here for a nap and a battle from a keybearer is apparently what I get. What the hell did I do to you this time, Miss Karma?[/i] wondered Selena as her eyes widened at the keybearer's next attack, mainly his weapon, Oh crap, where did that canon come from?![/i]
However an insane idea that had formed in her mind, caused Selena to take a risk in order to avoid certain injury by purposely (and awkwardly) rolling off the ledge and to take the fall.[LT:After Forever - Sins of Idealism]

*caution this post contains BBS spoilers*
What the hell did she just do?! Terra definitely just witnessed the keyblader take a dive to avoid his Ultima Cannon. Terra didn't think she meant to fall, but to avoid his attack like she did his first slash of his new Command Style.
Whatever side she was on, that didn't matter anymore. He had to do something. Without hesitation, he tossed his keyblade up in the air and sprinted towards the edge she had just dove over. With a tap on the shoulder and a flash of light, his appearance changed to reveal a orange and bronze suit of armor. His keyblade was also in the middle of another transformation.
This time, however, it looked nothing like a key. It looked like a small hovercraft with a burnt orange nose. He hopped on the Keyblade Ride and took off after his fallen foe. The fact that he had guessed the bulges in her cloak were wings had escaped him as he raced for his acquaintance.
He managed to wrap his arms around the keyblader, but something else started to happen. Was he seeing double? This had to be some effect from the single time her keyblade came into contact with his body. He almost felt like he'd drank a half a pint of top shelf whisky. He needed to focus. There was a woman in his arms that he just made the valiant effort to save, and he couldn't even think straight to pull up and avoid the ground.
He lost his concentration on his ride as it dispersed in a white light leaving Terra holding 'Artemis in his arms as he barreled the final twenty feet towards the liquid surface beneath him. He managed to roll just enough that his right shoulder made the first impact. How could crashing into water feel like he'd just kissed pavement? He let go of Selena as he rolled several feet further. He must have been both mad and stupid to risk his own life for someone who had fallen into darkness as he had. And that's when it hit him.
She reminded Terra of himself. Memories flooded back into his mind of his life as Xehanort's apprentice. Had he really done all those terrible things, or was it the keyblade's poison affecting him further? Either way, he now felt smpathy for his foe. He knew what she was going through, hell he'd been responsible for the destruction of his own world, as well as his former master.
"Are you okay...?"[/b]
He managed to open his mouth just long enough to enquire about the girl's well being. If she really meant no harm, then he felt comfortable to let her go about her well-being. He wasn't in any shape to stop her anyway, as he was pretty sure his shoulder was dislocated, among other injuries. In another flash, his armor also left his side as he strained his neck to check on his former opponent.

When Selena had rolled off the ledge, the dark keybearer had no clue what the hell she was thinking other than 'Get the hell out of there!'. However in the midst of the fall, 'Artemis' had shakily tried to remove the cloak but her wings were tangled in the cloth. Plus the effect of using her power had gotten to her as she couldn't feel her wings or her arms at all. In fact, her hands couldn't get a good grip of the cloak at all. Expecting impact with the water, she had tightly closed her eyes.
However, the impact she had just felt didn't feel like water at all. It was more like cold metal and somehow curiosity got the better of her as her eyes reopened to see bronze and orange. Surprised, the dark keybearer glanced down to see the hovercraft in the same color shades as the armor and simply wondered how he was able to use his key for multiple uses.
A few seconds later, her mind just registered the connection between the cannon, the hover craft and his keyblade the same when Selena realized that they were still heading towards the water. Even though Terra's helmet would hide his expressions, the dark keybearer knew that the poison from her Heartsickness keyblade had just decided to take effect and that he was already losing his focus.
"I'm sorry." muttered 'Artemis' as she braced herself for the impact right before the ride disappeared in a flash of light. The cloaked keybearer closed her eyes again as they hit the water but was surprised that Terra had taken the brunt of the impact even as they rolled on what seemed to be a water surface. Selena was not sure if she should be more surprised about the surface or the fact that warrior that had been so determined to remove her had saved her of what she had thought was a watery doom. Selena hadn't known that the water surface would feel solid.
The release caused her to land flat on her right side and thankfully, not on her back. Closing her eyes for a moment, 'Artemis' took this chance to catch her breath and to think about what had just happened moments before. Terra's sudden but valiant rescue had caught the dark keybearer by surprise especially because that he wasn't holding back when they were fighting! He had wanted her gone in what had felt like seconds ago so why the change of heart?
A deep voice inquiring if Selena was 'okay' (Okay? You just tried to kill me ten seconds ago![/i]) interrupted her thoughts as rolled to her left side in time to see the armor disappear as well. In honesty, Terra looked horrible but she knew that it was her fault because it was her poison that had made him like this.
"I'll be fine. Sore and bruised, but fine."answered 'Artemis' as she gave him a grim expression of concern that somehow made her appeared older than she was. Burdened with guilt, Selena managed to crawl over to his side and forced herself to sit up on her knees with a flinch.
"You, however, are not okay....My keyblade is poisonous and even though it's temporary, you're still going to feel like hell in a moment.... I believe you'll live through it though since it was meant for the Heartless."added Selena as she rummaged through the pocket of her cloak for a potion and manages to find one. She knew that potions won't cure the poison but it will lessen the effect of it. However after the fight they had just gone through, the dark keybearer wasn't sure that she could trust him.
For one, 'Artemis' wasn't aware of the similarity that Terra had just found between them and would most likely deny it if he pointed it out. For one, the dark keybearer had not become pawn to any evil doers (yet) as she had wandered from world to world too fast for villains to even notice that there was a dark outsider among them. Two, despite the fight that had just occurred, Selena had been reluctant to use her key to fight people because of the knowledge of the poison. Heck, even when the dark keybearer had fought Oni in Halloween Town, the seemingly innocent demon kid that had tried to kill her twice for rescuing the 'toy', she had hesitated. Three, she doesn't trust people that easily and it was easy to her to become suspicious.
However, the mentioned reasons were no excuse for her usage of the Darkness even if it was only in the form of corridors. It had been her only mode of transportation (if it's qualified as transportation) as there had been no Master to teach her how to use her keyblade. For ten years, Selena had to solely rely on herself when it came to surviving on her own and even then, the dark keybearer had blood on her hands for the slaughter that she had unintentionally done when her first Bloody Berserk happened though she could never remember what exactly happened during the said Berserk. The girl had blamed herself for the accidental deaths though it could be argued that she had been defending herself from the ones who had tried to kill her.
Indecisive and unaware of his other injury, 'Artemis' glanced at Terra for a moment as she tried to decide what to do with the potion. She wasn't sure that if he would try to fight her again after taking it. But it had been her fault that he had been poisoned by her keyblade. So she placed the potion in the palm of the hand that didn't belong to the dislocated shoulder. "Sorry..."

The combination of the pain from the fall and the poison's effects were really beginning to get to the keybearer, Terra. His shoulder burned as he silently examined it to make sure his early prognosis as a dislocated shoulder were accurate. It definitely appeared so, because he was pretty sure it wasn't broken. If he'd broken his arm, he probably wouldn't be able to move it without screaming in pain. If it was just a dislocation, he could jam it in place with little to no pain later. He made a mental note to shoulder tackle a boulder later to pop his arm back in.
On another note, it seemed as if Selena was ok. She had rolled over to her side and forced her self up. That was a good sign. She looked irritated for a moment though. She probably thought he was an idiot for attacking her then trying to save her. Terra just couldn't help but see things clearer, even with the poison coursing through his veins. Selena and Terra were both on the same side of things. They had both been introduced to the powers of darkness, even though they had no intention of using it for wrong-doings. It made Terra believe that his own stained heart could be cleansed, somehow.
'Artemis' seemed to be going through an immense internal debate of Terra's character traits. She had her hand in her cloak, and it looked like she had a grip on something. Was this another weapon, or was this something to recover her wounds. There was no way it would be anything to help Terra out, not after what he'd done to her not five minutes ago. He didn't even deserve the time of day from her. He'd seriously tried to kill her with that Ultima Cannon, and now the thought entered his mind that she might help him. That's pathetic, he thought to himself. I wouldn't be suprised if she'd just do me in right now and let this water be my grave.
He was wrong, though, because his former adversary had just lifted a vial out of her pocket and placed it in his hand. Another poison? That's what he deserved. He didn't quite think so, and her story was all starting to make sense. She really had come to Hollow Bastion in search of a place to rest, and Terra had played a bouncer to someone who hadn't even made it in the club yet. Without removing his eyes from hers, he popped the cork and tipped the bottle to his mouth.
It wasn't quite an immediate reaction, but somewhere between five and ten minutes passed while the pain continued. He simply lowered his head and let the pain fill his body. All the rising water wasn't helping his condition anymore, anyway. He was only feeling dizzier staring out at the waterfalls surrounding the canyon. After about five minutes, the pain started to subside, and his head began clearing up. The liquid he drank had definitely had some healing qualities to it. He slowly rolled to his back and let the fresh air enter his lungs after breathing his own recycled air for the past ten minutes.
"Th..thank you...I'm not sure I deserved that."[/b]
His eyes gazed up at the sky with nothing but a blank look to them. He had to hold off a second before he did anything strenuous like getting up. He wasn't done with her yet though, she deserved a more formal apology for clearing the poison up. He wasn't even sure if that poison was meant to kill or not, but either way, he was glad it was gone.
Another minute or two passed and he kicked himself to his feet. He still wasn't ready for anything like that, however, as he immediately fell back down to one knee and began breathing heavy. Yea, it wasn't his greatest idea, but he wasn't trying to show his weakness. He was trying to let on that he had completely recovered.
His attention fell back on Selena as he rose again to his feet. What would happen now that they had unofficially made amends? Would they continue to fight until one of them finally was felled, or would something happen to make these two unlikely keybladers allies? He doubted even Merlin or Yen Sid would know exactly what would become of 'Artemis' and Terra.
"I realized something right after you fell off that platform. Me and you, we're almost exactly alike. We both bathe in the darkness, yet reject the evil that comes with it. I honestly doubt you've done anything worth regretting yet. I can tell because you don't have the look of regret on your face. Me, I am responsible for a lot of what's happening around these worlds, and trust me, you don't want that on your conscience. Take my advice and lay low for awhile. Don't let those that would try to control you into your life. It will only lead to pain and suffering for those you know and yourself. Thank you again for saving my life..."[/b]
The lingering pain of his shoulder was still standing out, however, and he needed to take care of it. He quietly turned to a nearby rockface, and slammed his right shoulder into with crushing force. The resulting crack was loud enough to wake the dead but perfect in fixing his shoulder. He clinched a fist a couple times to make sure everything was ok.
Then he did the one thing he would never let a wielder of the darkness see, until now. He turned his back to Selena and began to walk to the falls. He wasn't quite done with his reconnaissance of Hollow Bastion, and he needed to make sure no other dark beings had infested Ansem the Wise's castle. He still wasn't feeling one hundred percent, but that didn't matter anymore. He had hoped to avoid further confrontation, at least for now. Whether or not 'Artemis' accepted his little piece of advice was up to her, and Terra wouldn't do anything to hinder her judgement.

After Selena had given him the potion, she had managed to stand up and walk to a rock before sitting down against it in an upright position. The solid water surface was irking her a bit more than it should as water shouldn't feel so solid. When the dark keybearer had fallen off the ledge, she had expected herself to drown because of the weight of her wings and her somewhat inability to swim. (Demyx had attempted to teach 'Artemis' how to swim in Atlantica where her wings were non-existent.) She didn't think that Terra would try and save her.
Just then 'Artemis' remembered her wings but she couldn't check the damage at the moment. For one, it didn't seem appropriate for her to check on her own injuries when the person in front of her was injured because of her. It wasn't right.
The dark keybearer just sat there for a while and listened to the falls. Somehow despite the absurdity of the water rising up and the solid form of should have been a 'liquid' surface, the sound of the falls and the cold air that had reminded her of home had calmed 'Artemis' enough for her wings to relax from their folded position. Her ears had heard him thank her but the cloaked woman didn't know how to react to it so she kept her mask of indifference on.
"I don't know if you deserved it either but the action's already done so don't give me a reason regret it."warned Selena as she briefly closed her eyes before glancing over in Terra's direction in time to see him kick himself to his feet and fall back down, "You should try to rest..." The last sentence must had fallen to deaf ears as the warrior had stood up again.
'Artemis' listened to Terra's words and took a few moments to think over what he had said. What had surprised her the most was what the keybearer said about 'have done anything worth regretting yet' and that she didn't have the look of regret. It had made Selena wonder if she had completely closed off her heart and the expression of emotions that came with it from the people she had met, including this man that she had just fought.
Yes, the dark keybearer had regrets but it had started before she had even received her keyblade and accepted the existence of the darkness inside her heart. Selena had regretted not doing anything to save her mother and regretted the accidental killing of the men who had tried to kill her when the first Bloody Berserk triggered. The dark keybearer was also regretting not reaching her home world fast enough and sometimes the woman wondered if she deserved to live.
"You don't need to thank me for something I had not done."answered 'Artemis' right after Terra had popped his shoulder with a crack loud enough to make her flinch but meant to refer to the poison, "Your Master had taught you well." The last statement was meant as a compliment but she was unaware of the situation between Master and Apprentice.
The dark keybearer had glanced in Terra's direction as he walked off toward the falls but made no motion of standing up. Selena had no intention of stabbing him in the back when she was aware that he could kill her off with that one technique nor did the dark keybearer had the intention of leaving just yet since she wasn't in full strength either. 'Artemis' might just lose her heart if she tried to open a corridor now. She rests her head against her knees as her eyes closed to briefly rest.
