Disney Town. The small town that surrounded Disney Castle, and perhaps made up most of the rest of the world. As usual blue vivid skies filled with cotton-candy puffy clouds were in the sunny skies overhead, the only darkness was the occasional overcast cloud blotting out the sun onto the colorful buildings below, all different shapes and all colors of the rainbow. The streets were usually lined with warm colors, yellow sand color for the sidewalk, and a tan orange color for the pavement where automobiles could drive. It was where thousands and perhaps millions of feet, hooves and paws would be going about their lives each day, but one particular set of feet came to a stop just before the wall that led to the entrance of Disney Castle. The castle itself had within it the Cornerstone, which protected Disney Castle from Darkness, however the Darkness that was upon the doorstep of Disney Castle today was there for an entirely different reason than to cast it's shadow over the king and queen's keep. Many eyes were laid upon the figure that stood out from the animated characters that were the citizens of the world, a mysterious man in a orange-hooded cloak stood looking upon Disney Castle, most civilians too intimidated to walk up to such a tall man that stood out like a sore thumb. From beneath his hood, the male stared up at the closest tower making up part of the wall of fortress of light, as if waiting for something to happen. No, the forces of Darkness were not invading the castle today; and neither were they. The forces of neutrality had no need to penetrate the inner sanctum of the throne room and remove the Cornerstone of Light; they were not darkness that could be easily repelled and while his new master had taken with him the sorceresses' knight, he had been left with the unpredictable pirates of whom he could not entirely trust their current alliance given their connections. He could feel the forces of darkness, not content with sitting back and letting the warriors of the Light have all the fun, descend upon the castle town in his direction. With no need for the Cornerstone as the ultimate goal, the man raised his hand towards the large, wide towers he had his eyes on and concentrated. There was a large cracking sound, then the tower began to move, the stone at it's base snapping and breaking off as if being twisted by a giant hand. In the same motion as the stranger's hand as he tightened his grip, and then the civilians looking at the unexpected sound started to yell and scream as the tower started to lift up into the air on it's own. It hung in the air for a moment as the man concentrated, then the people started to run for cover as the tower groaned from it's immense weight as it was thrown into the very center of town, as the 'Apprentice' used Gravity Shift. Conjuring his other hand in the wide space of street before the exposed piece of cracked castle wall, a large Corridor to Darkness grew like a dark wind as he used Control Heartless, before a very large Heartless roared and shifted into gear he summoned called the Infernal Engine. The Infernal Engine began to open it's mouth as it rolled forward, Disney Town residents still clearing out of the way from the falling tower that had yet to hit the ground, a glow of energy forming in it's mouth before it charged forward and spat out the monstrous battering ram that collided into the castle wall to shake it's very foundations in the earth. Disney Castle had never been assaulted like this before, and reveling in the destruction, the hooded man intended to give it one it would not forget for a long time. No matter who he had drawn the attention of, his pirate cavalry should be here soon to join in the pillaging. "Warriors that fall under the shadow of darkness... you're not going to want to miss this."--- Infernal Engine Battle Theme: Fight and AwayMasked Apprentice Battle Theme: He Who Brings The NightGravity Shift: Apprentice can move inanimate objects, the larger the objects, the larger the strain on his magic power as well as slower the speed it can go. He cannot get a grip on the hearts and souls of living objects, so he does not use this on opponents directly to move them against their will. (Cooldown: One round/turn.) Control Heartless/Nobodies/Unversed: If Human Heartless are not present, Appentice can control Heartless present in the world. If Organization XIII/Human Nobodies are not present, he can control Nobodies in that world. If Vanitas is not present, Apprentice can control the Unversed in that world. (Three post cooldown to summon a group of three lesser Heartless/Nobody/Unversed per opponent in the thread, once per thread to summon one boss of either Heartless/Nobody/Unversed. Each minor Heartless/Nobody/Unversed has 5HP, and a boss Heartless/Nobody/Unversed has 20HP. The amount of HP taken away by a opponent's attack is equal to the cooldown of that power.)

| Oh Ivalice, this place is worse than Traverse Town... Lief couldn't help but squint his eyes at the bright, cheery colors of the town he had just stepped into. People really LIKE this architecture? The whole town looked something out of a kids coloring book! Lief glanced over his shoulder as he heard a little squeak which distracted him from his intake of the town. There were the two little chipmunks that had just gotten him to this town, jumping up and down in perfect opposite rhythm, waving goodbye at him. Lief gave a half-hearted wave, feigning a smile before turning away and rolling his eyes. They were... Chocolate and Ale... right? Eh, Lief couldn't remember, all he could think of was how pleased he felt to be away from them. They might have been nice to offer him a FREE trip to Disney Town, but he would never travel with them again if he didn't have too. Their high pitched voices and over-eagerness about the gummiship and flying had driven the hunter up a wall, over a hill, and ALLLLLLLLLLLL the way to grandma's house. But now he was finally free of his "traveling buddies" and had a chance to focus on the task at hand. Not that he was exactly sure what the "task at hand" was... He had picked up a newspaper from Traverse Town when he FINALLY got back to the damn place from the crater of a Jungle he had left. Of course that over compensating hero with the spiky hair, Cloud, had dragged him along side of Yuna to World of Ruin on something called the "doomtrain". After letting them talk it out, while he sat alone fuming that Yuna rather talk with Cloud then with him, Yuna lived up to her first promise and dumped him back in Traverse Town. Yuna... damn, Lief could NOT get her out of his head. He had barely spent any time with her, but when he had saw her there, sprawled on the ground after that pillar of light had crashed on their heads... He had felt so protective of her... Needing to be the one to save her, as if no one else could... He wanted to be the one that held her, saved her and made her smile... He wanted to... Lief shut out the thoughts from his head. There was no way he was at all falling for a girl he barely met... Well, after Lief had made Traverse Town his home once more, he had picked up a newspaper and saw an very interesting ad in it. Something about "NEUTRALIZING... blahblahblah" Lief not exactly remember what the rest of the title was. The rewards for it, though, looked ... promising. Apparently the group in question was rather... known about, a tad bit feared among those who recognized what the heck the article was talking about. And what happened if Lief was among those who took it out? His name would be there in that newspapers, in big bold letters, people knowing exactly who Lief Ramses was! Pfft, who cared about all the particulars? Lief was going to be famous no matter WHO he worked for. Reaching into the small bag on his hip that kept the munny he had acquired and various other things, he pulled out the newspaper article again. Gazing over it, he looked up at the castle the paper described. "THIS thing is where some huge fight is going to be? Doesn't... quite... Eh" he shrugged and read more of the article. Neutralizing Shared Foes (Who the hell thinks of that lame title?) Why HELLO beloved readers of this destructive request! Looking for Fame, Fortune, Glory, and mayhem? Help us absolutely positively DESTORY the disgustingly pathetic war haters ironically attacking Disney Castle! Those weak of heart should be wary, professionals wanted! Help us destroy EVERYTHING!!
Sincerely the Almighty GOD OF MAGIC! Lord Kefka Palazzo
Lief's blood suddenly just turned to ice. With a frantic yelp he read back over the paper's ending... Oh Shiva he HAD read it right! The writer was none other than the freaken clown that put a crater in the jungle! "Oh hell no... what the hell did get myself into?" Lief muttered to himself. Lief sighed and looked up at the skies, half expecting the clown to be floating about the puffy clouds. The entire TOWN buzzed with an ridiculousness too it, as if a song of complete and utter annoyance was playing through speakers. It was a .... suiting place for a man of such flamboyance to be hiding, and Lief was worried the clown would jump upon him at any moment... Lief shook his head and, now with the threat that the evil clown would be popping up at anytime, noticed he had been standing in the middle of the street for far too long. He made his way past the towns people and their cheery attitude and towards the castle. He wanted to check out a place for him to perch so he could be there before any of the fighting started. As he neared the castle, though, Lief paused a decent distance away when he saw a figure that didn't... quite look like the others. Well.. that wasn't exactly why Lief had noticed him from such a distance, no it was the mutterings from the people around him and the amount of people pointing at him. Lief stole himself away before the man could turn and sense his presence (hopefully, since who knows what the man could or could not sense). Hiding on a wall and only allowing a bit of his head to peak over it, Lief looked towards the man as he just... stood there. "Ten gil, that's the guy we have to take care of" Lief muttered to himself, sizing up the man. He was rather large, and obviously mysterious with the strange outfit he was wearing. Something... hellish for sure. Lief was not exactly sure he wanted to fight this man one on one and hoped the ad reached more people than him and the deranged clown. He watched as the cloaked man raised his hand. What on Ivalice is he- "HOLY SHIT!" Lief said, though most of his cry was lost with the large cracking sound that came from the tower of the castle suddenly breaking away from the castle?!Lief slammed his back against the wall of the building he was leaning against, completely out of eye sight from the man. "Ok, really REALLY don't want to fight this guy." he mumbled to himself. "But... a missions a mission... right?" he glanced up to the roof of the building he was leaning against. "Well I could get on the roof... Right, the roof. Hopefully it has a peak..."The building Lief was leaning against was... oddly shaped, just like the rest of the town, some buildings ungodly tall, others really short and with lopsided roofs. This was one of the latter ones, the edge of the roof just a foot or so outside of the hunter's normal reach. But, there was a rain gutter snaking along side of the building which allowed Lief enough leverage to pick himself up and over the top of the roof. Sure, it didn't seem like it was in Lief to be able to scale a building, but the hunter had had plenty of practice climbing up buildings, mountains, trees and other heavy climbing places back when he was in Ivalice as a hunter. Poachers needed to be above all physically fit to outrun and out class the guards when it came to getting caught. And Clan Round Ups were no walk in the park either. Lief was still surprised he had it in him though, yet he was proud of himself when he jumped up onto the roof. There was no peak on the top, but the roof next to him, literally next to him, had one, so the Hunter quickly scurried over to the peak and hid behind it. From there he looked at the big gaping hole that was made in the side of the castle, then towards man who was standing in front of it. Brown eyes shifted over the town trying to locate where the tower had fallen and they came to rest on the ... very slow moving tower that was falling closer and closer to the ground with each passing second. Lief's mouth dropped open when he saw that. "What the hell kind of entrance is this?" he muttered to himself. But that wasn't the end of the entrance. There from the hole the tower had made from being ripped off, was some weird vortex which was getting bigger and bigger the more Lief stared at it. Then, suddenly a HUGE freaken cart slammed onto the ground. Lief's already open mouth just strained wider as he looked at the machine. It was HUGE with four wheels, what looked like a mouth and glowing yellow eyes on the top of it. Was it a ... Heartless? Lief wasn't quite sure from the distance... but on the top it looked like little creatures were running around. The vehicle, turned around from where it was going before... it opened it mouth and crashed a battering ram into the very wall it came out from. Lief felt the castle shake under the force. "..." Lief shut his mouth and shook his head, looking at the roof. Why the hell did he find himself in these situations? First the stupid crater with the clown, now a giant cart ramming into a castles. Things like this never happened in Ivalice... so why here? Why to him? Either way, Lief had a job to do... protect that castle... Not that the hunter was looking forward to it anymore. Righting himself, Lief eyed the motionless figure at the castle door. "He must be in charge of that-" the ram hit cutting the sentence off for a second "... cart thing. Guess maybe hitting one of those-" BAM . "... things on top should slow the cart down ... either way." BAM "Sidewinder is going to be the only thing that'll hit from... BAM "This range and not another person so..."But Lief still had doubts that even Sidewinder was powerful on his own to take out one of those creatures. It LOOK like a normal Heartless but what happens if that cart looking thing was much more than that? Lief had high hopes his cover wasn't blown and used the few minutes he had to activate his Boost |
ability. Lief crouched and held out his arms making himself look like rather ridiculous but allowing a faint orange energy to seep around his. From there he let his mind fall into a perfect concentration mode, allowing his senses to sharpen and his body to gain... well a boost. While it left him powerless and unable to do anything else till the move completed itself, but it strengthened his power the next time he went to attack. Lief was pretty sure he was safe way above here and that maybe the man in the cloak would be more interested in... chaos then finding a measly little hunter hanging above the roof. For once, Lief wanted someone NOT to notice him. [/div] [atrb=width: 100px; height: 400px][atrb=vAlign,top] ~~ ~~ OOC: So this is the first table with Lief. Today was not a good day for Hades. He had suffered a major setback in a couple of his plans, been told off by someone that he was manipulating, and now, Kefka, of all CLOWNS, was "inviting" him to stop Disney Castle from being taken. Oy, some days it just doesn't pay to leave the Underworld. The only saving grace was that by doing this, the head mice would owe him a favor, and that was something he could not pass up. So, off he went to the Castle.
Appearing in his usual burst of flame, he found himself right behand a strange man in an orange cloak. And people called him weird. After a brief second of surveying, the god noticed that the man was taking apart the Castle. Hey, he was all for destruction, but that just would not do. Casually striding up to him, as he did, Hades spoke, "Hades, Lord of the Dead. Hi, how ya doin? I see that you're trying to change the property values of this area. Well, you're going about it all wrong, guy. You don't destroy or downsize a Castle. No, see, what you do is you destroy -or at least ruin- all the other property in the area. You're doing too much work, huh? Why don't you put those towers down and take a lesson from me, okay, babe?"
Truth be told, Hades was just trying to get him to lower his guard, but hey, it's not like he'd ever know that... until it was too late, that is. Course, there was still the chance that he wouldn't accept the god's offer as well, and that he'd go immediately on the offensive. Well, if that was the case, Hades was sure he could take him. After all, it doesn't matter how powerful someone is when he's up against The Lord of the Dead. Either way, he was going to have to do something if he wanted to hold power over the mice, and saving their castle might just be the way to do it.

Captain Jack Sparrow didn't fair much better than Mr. Orange Hood did in the "Be Conspicuous" department. Maybe it was the beads or the headband or the dreadlocks. But Sparrow had a hunch it was because a few feet taller than most of the toons that resided here. Well, he was 75% sure, anyways. He looked around the town and grimaced at it. "Bit extravagant, if'n you ask me," Sparrow mused to himself, "This town could do with dialing it down a tetch. Could also do with some rum. Not a drop to be had since I got here. The pay oughtta be worth it." As he strutted down the street, however, the Tower the Masked Apprentice uprooted and threw to the center of town missed Jack by a few millimeters. Jack stared at the Tower as it violently carved its own path through the town. He kept staring at it as if he was watching a particularly interesting wench dance at a tavern. He then turned to where the tower was and found the Orange Hooded Man. He then smiled and walked toward him as if he didn't just narrowly miss being knocked across town by a giant tower and as if he wasn't looking at a rather large Heartless summoned from seemingly nowhere to batter down the Castle Walls.
"Ah, hello there, Mr. Mysterious. How are you this fine... morning..." Jack then took notice of the large hole that once held a tower. He then turned to the hooded man and smiled in that smarmy way of his. "I assume going to the front door and asking to come in was out of the question?" Then Hades teleported in and Jack looked at him with a rather bewildered expression on his face. He also noticed a weird orange energy on one of the rooftops but he was sure the Masked Apprentice would notice it and not need Jack's humble services of Perception to aid him. Besides, there was tall, blue-skinned monster thing whose head was on fire talking to them. That held Jack's interest more. "I don't know if you've noticed, mate, but the property here seems kind of... well, populated. Occupied, if you will. And people tend to be rather displeased with sudden relocation by fire, if'n you catch my drift. Speaking of fire, your head has an alarming amount of it. You should probably get that checked out, mate." Jack didn't intend to attack just yet. He preferred using words to get out situations such as this. And he had a funny feeling that he would need to get out of this particular one with an alarming amount of speed if he wanted to continue living.
He did so enjoy living.

Much had happened in the absence of the Genocidal Jester, whom had suspended his long term goal of destroying the worlds in order to deal with the rebellion that faced his beloved cult back in the World of Ruin. Yes, it seemed that the jester’s greatest foes known as The Returners were living up to their name and, just like he had done not so long ago after the end of the Dissidia Wars, returned in order to cause Kefka grief by giving the people hope and convincing them to raise arms against the cult that ran the planet in service of their God of Magic. The rebellion didn’t last long after the jester’s return, by destroying a few cities with his ultimate attack as well as torturing the army in front of the civilians he made it clear their rebellion was in vain. Destroying most of what remained of the world, especially those disgusting children, the mad mage then returned his attention to the grand scheme of the worlds as his cult wrapped up the loose ends in the World of Ruin. It was now that Kefka learned that a new force, the Neutral, was stepping up to fill the void that he and the Warriors of Chaos had left by targeting Disney Castle as the location of their first great strike against the forces of Light and Darkness. As much as Kefka loved the idea of the Light’s stronghold being destroyed, NO ONE was going to be doing it but him! It was his target, his arch nemesis, and it was his ultimate goal to eliminate it! He supposed it was time to use an ancient tactic in order to defeat these foes daring to step on the toes of the war he loved so: the enemy of my enemy is my friend. As much as it disgusted the colorful villain that he must team up with the goody two shoes in order to defend the castle, it left them much closer to home for his ultimate goal when this was over. Hohoho, they wouldn’t even see it coming. The first thing Kefka attempted to do after deciding to counter this new threat was to reach out to his newly formed Warriors of Chaos, but to his dismay he discovered that the alliance had crumbled without him there at its head. In fact, a majority of the members had vanished! The only Warriors of Chaos to be found were Hadria and Sephiroth, the latter of which was too busy to be bothered with Kefka’s plan of temporarily aiding their enemy against the common foe. At least Hadria offered her services to the mad mage, after all she was his favorite recruit for the Warriors of Chaos. Her thirst for death, slaughter, and destruction could only be matched by Kefka. Still, if the Neutral was as formidable as claimed by those who spread the rumors then it would take more than the two of them to handle this new threat. That’s when two names came to his mind for an alliance: Hades and Vanitas. Sure, their previous encounters had proven fruitless in Kefka’s attempts to get them to join the Warriors of Chaos. Whether it was the promised reward, a change of heart, or perhaps just boredom and yearning for a challenge that convinced the duo to join them he couldn’t know, but it didn’t really matter. He just knew that together they could crush the opposition, and that was all that mattered in the end. Still, the jester felt that they should pull in some extra fire power JUST in case. One of the leaders of the Cult of Kefka suggested to the mad mage that he place an ad in the newspapers around the worlds for assistance? Surely SOMEONE would come to their aid. The God of Magic thought of this as a WONDERFUL idea, and thus what Lief would read in the newspaper came to be. That was before, the chain of events leading up to the battle. But what of the face off you ask? The Genocidal Jester had appeared on a rooftop near the edge of town, not far from the castle itself. He’d seen the arrival of this ‘Masked Apprentice’, and was thoroughly not impressed even with his display of power that tore a chunk of the castle into the city. Hoping to see the Masked Man he’d heard so much about, he could only sigh at the sight of the ridiculous figure before him. “What’s this? The main man hasn’t come to the show? For shame!” the colorful one shook his head, “Sending a mere minion to do his work! He obviously knows not with whom he’s dealing!” Kefka nodded firmly at that, standing tall with his hands on his hips while he did so. He then shrugged, bringing his hands before him with fingers wiggling towards the enemy. “No matter, I’ll show him why it’s a bad idea to send his cronie SMACK, dab in the middle of enemy territory without his mommy holding his hand! Arise my puppet! ARIIIIIIIIIISE!!” With that, Kefka jumped up and down, chuckling darkly as a cloud of violet energy formed near the Infernal Engine, small orbs of crystal appearing in order to close in on the energy before in a flash of light the light blue Imaginary SOLDIER appeared, black energy seeping off of it for a few seconds as it was summoned to the field. “WHOA-OHOHOHOHOHOHOOO~!!" Kefka’s voice rang throughout the town, announcing his presence to everyone within it. Those involved in the battle at Disney Castle could possibly hear it as it echoed, followed by another laugh from Kefka as he began his continued his opening presentation to the conflict. After all, all this talking was starting to bore the jester. It was time to have some fun, destroy the Heartless then kill the Masked Apprentice and burn down the town all in the same breath! Show him the true power of Darkness! “Ladies and gentleman boys and girls, let’s give a warm round of applause for everyone’s favorite puppet, Mr. Spiky! Come in now don’t be shy, after all Sephy and Maskie seemed to like him. Now then, don’t be shy tomorrow is pay day so let’s earn those coins. Show this little box just how inferior he is to a summon brought to you by the God of Magic!” Kefka commanded, and with a silent nod the manikin charged at the Heartless, swinging its massive blade against it as it pulled back from the castle with the first strike of Cross Slash, ‘Cloud’ swinging it hard from left to right before swinging diagonally upwards in the opposite direction for the second blow. With a final powerful strike the Imaginary SOLDIER swung to the right to cleave through its opponent and send it flying into the wall which it had been attacking if it could before bringing its weapon back firmly before itself with a smirk. “Wonderful! Absolutely stupendous!” Kefka cried out in joy from the roof top, flailing happily before rising above the roof top while he brought his arm before him, “This is so much more fun than striking down those weaklings, wouldn’t you agree?” Shifting his gaze from the attack to the Masked Apprentice, he noticed that fellow associate Hades had arrived alongside a pirate. Was this one of the ones who had answered his call? It didn’t matter, after all it was time to have some fun! “ Now then, my pretty masked fellow, if you’re not going to have a discussion with our friends, why don’t you watch this?!” Kefka ordered, snapping his fingers to cast Trine on the monstrosity that his manikin had attacked, the three ominous triangles of blue magical power converging upon its unintelligent victim. Kefka assumed this would inflict Blind upon it, due to its physical attack on the castle but that was anyone’s guess. With another snicker, he turned back to the trio, though he spoke loudly for any potential allies he might have in the area like the little hunter he failed to notice. “With that underway, why don’t we make this easier on ourselves? Why don’t you go destroy part of the town as we take care of your pet, then together we’ll destroy this pathetic excuse for Light’s capital and listen to those beautiful, SCRUMPTIOUS screams of the innocent! Hohoho, don’t be fooled though my friend, we’re still going to Neutralize you no matter what! You don’t have a chance against us! We’re going to destroy EVERYTHING!! Whoa-ohohohohohohohoo~!!” Kefka laughed at the end then grinned. It was show time! --------------------------------------------------

So what was the red-headed Heartless known for causing untold amounts of death and mayhem up to at this very moment? Well it was rather unfortunate but she was currently assisting in a matter that the leader of the Warriors of Chaos didn’t feel confident in taking care of alone. Indeed, the genocidal jester known as Kefka had requested her skills in combat be used to defend Disney Castle, a notion she found rather peculiar as he didn’t seem the type to defend or otherwise protect something. Whatever the case, it had been a while since she had a real challenge in combat and from what she had been told this event seemed promising. Yes, apparently some mysterious force would be attacking the castle, a mysterious force that was quite powerful and seemed to have more than one ally. That being the case, while it was a long shot perhaps said figure would have some of the knowledge that Hadria desired. Thus taking part in this battle served two purposes, it would quench her thirst for carnage and bloodlust for the time being and perhaps get her closer to finding an answer to the question… was she more than just a Heartless? Indeed, that was a question that rang through her head everyday as she meandered about Hollow Bastion, searching for any conclusive evidence to answer said question. It was the only purpose she had for her life if one could even call it that, perhaps existence was a more fitting word for her. Living implied that one went out to socialize, to create bonds, to befriend others, to find love, and to otherwise be happy. Yes, that’s what living implied but she did none of that and while she couldn’t say she was sad, she was sure that she wasn’t happy. In fact she wasn’t sure what she was, or rather what she felt, her entire existence was an enigma that eluded her to this day. Why could she control her impulses to search and harvest hearts? Why was she able to hold back that primal urge to cause mayhem and destruction? Why was she able to pick and choose her targets instead of attacking without discrimination? She was so much different from other Heartless and yet everyone that she had fought or otherwise had contact with was certain that was the type of creature she was. Yet these were thoughts best dwelled on at another time and venue, for now she had to take care of the task at hand and defend this castle that made her skin crawl. Well not only the castle, but the entire town made her skin crawl; the vibrant architecture looked like an idea for a town drawn by a toddler. It made her quite uncomfortable yet she believed that if anyone felt at home in this place it was probably the equally colorful jester. Looking over to him from the rooftop that she stood atop to his right, she sighed lightly as he went into one of his extravagant displays of verboseness at its finest. Really, the man knew nothing of subtlety and its advantages in combat or perhaps he did and just didn’t care for it as he was a rather powerful entity. Either way, Hadria would watch the scene play out for the moment, a mask in her hand that she would put on as the show started. The first thing of interest to happen in the distance was the appearance of an “ally”, a rather tall figure with a head on fire. She raised an eyebrow at the rather ludicrous “hairstyle” but didn’t dwell on the thought as said figure went onto do his own thing. Regardless of what that figure was up to, her eyes would scan the battlefield as Kefka continued his rather boisterous display, looking for any others that would be assisting with slaying the beast down below. After a moment of searching, Hadria would find another warrior already on the battlefield that seemed to be readying an attack. Well that’s what the red-head assumed anyway, his stance was rather weird to say the least and he could be doing something entirely different. Whatever the case and while it was hard to tell, it looked like the kid wielded a ranged weapon, a bow as it would seem. Would this ancient weaponry prove effective against their foes was yet to be known but assuming the kid was on their side, keeping attention off him would probably prove helpful. After all, if he could fire off his arrows unabated, whether it was the Heartless or the orange-hooded stranger and his cohorts, surely the projectiles would prove annoying if nothing else. Then again he may not be on our side but if that’s the case I suppose that will just be one more body to add to the count, she mused as she gripped the hilt of her blade with her right hand, ready to move as Kefka unleashed two devastating attacks on the beast below, ”Well I suppose it’s time that I join the festivities as well right? Wouldn’t want you to hog all the fun,” she noted, just audible enough for Kefka to hear as she slipped on her mask and jumped off the roof. Now above the Heartless, Hadria would quickly put the sword beneath her, grabbing onto the hilt with both hands and putting her feet on it. She would then come crashing down on the right side Heartless of the three that were on top of the giant one, using gravity to her advantage to increase the power and speed of her attack. Whatever the case, whether the attack killed the little Heartless rider in one blow or not, Hadria would quickly pull her sword out of the hull of the giant Heartless itself and look to the other two little Heartless. She would grin psychotically as she began to laugh manically, running her free hand through her hair as she stopped holding back that urge to maim, to destroy, and to kill. ”Why hello there my pathetic kin, how would you like to die today?” she would ask but without so much as letting a word in edge wise (not that standard Heartless could speak anyway), she would strike at them without hesitation. She would flail her arm about wildly, no real finesse in her sword play as she would attempt to cleave through the two. ”Please tell me you have more in store for me mysterious hooded man in the distance!” she would shout out, hoping to get the stranger’s attention if for but a moment ”Because once this pathetic excuse for a monster is dead I’m coming for you and I would be bitterly disappointed if you didn’t live up to my expectations,” she added pressing her index and middle finger against her lips, licking the tip of her middle one, already enjoying this battle far too much. OOC: Cruentus Adficio - 0% + X% = X% (First attack) X% + Y% = Z% (Second attack) Values will be added when success of attacks and their damage inflicted is accounted for.

"SMEEEEE!" The captain cried, tapping his hooked hand on his boat as he waited for his right hand man to appear. It had been a long few months for him and he hadn't had the time to really think about Neverland. He'd been more confined to his boat then looking for treasures.
After a moment, the smaller pirate appeared, almost tripping over himself to reach the Captain. "Y-yes-s sir?" The first mate asked. Smee looked at though he had done something horribly wrong as he knew that Hook was going to blame him for something. It was then that Captain Hook slammed his good hand into the side of the boat before looking back at Smee. "How could you not TELL me my world was taken by the Darkness!? Well, it was a good thing that that Masked Man told me! We'll have to take it back later." The Captain needed someone to blame for the world falling, and the poor first mate would be his fall guy.
Smee cringed a bit, looking up at the Captain, "S-sorry, cap'n". Hook sighed a bit before shifting to gather his weapons. "Well! Don't let it happen again, Smee! Now, go prepare the men and cannons for a battle!" Smee nodded with a 'yes, captain' before taking off to follow his order. "We're taking over Disney Castle!"
With a sigh, the Captain sat his elbows on the edge of the ship, head on his hand and hook to look out at the land that was approaching the Jolly Roger. He had been spoken to by this Masked Man a few days before and had agreed that neutral was the way to go. The darkness had failed him, and he would never side with the light. So, why not pick a third side in this battle. After a moment, Smee appeared. "The cannons and men are ready, Captain!" Hook stood, hand on his sword and prepared for anything. "FIRE!" Hook shouted.
Within moments, five cannon shots were fired at the land in the direction of the warriors of darkness that were probably arriving to stop the Masked Man's advance. Hopefully none of his teammates were in the way of the blasts as he made his exit from the Jolly Roger. He slid down the ladder and pulled out his sword, ready to take on the first person that looked at him.

Evil tastes the tears of fear! tearing down your helpless fate
Theme: WAR Tagged: Kefka Masked Apprentice Vani leif Hadria Hades Jack and Hook, Oh my. Comments: Ehem... yes, 9 unversed... what is this 24 you speak of?
It had been pure chancre that the clown Kefka had managed to find Vanitas. Pure chance, but not a chance Vanitas didn’t mind. In fact. Seeing the clown was a bonus. Sure, his colors were an eyesore, but sometimes the clown gave some good information on where some delectable chaos was to happen. In this case, it just so happened that the Clown once more brought news, and an ask for a partnership. Vanitas had outright told the Genocidal Jester he had no intention of becoming partners, but temporary allies, that would be fine for this. It had been a while since Vanitas had gone to Disney Town, after all, and if Radiant Garden had changed, what was to stop Disney Town? Perhaps the eye-sore of a world had been altered by the coot as well
…Well, one was always certainly allowed to hope, and when Vanitas actually did arrive in Disney Town, his hopes were more than a little… shot. While the town had certainly grown a little bigger, it still remained it’s horribly colored and mismatched toddler vomit. It was any wonder why Kefka didn’t want this world for himself, given how bright and positively murderous on the eyes it was. Well, either way, he was here to… ugh, defend it. Seriously, defend the world? He’d have to remember to infect it later, but GOOD. Seriously, defending this bright rainbow colored place? He’d much rather sit back and watch the action go on. Truth be told he was half tempted too, except for the fact that Kefka had made some promises the clown had better keep, like Giving Vanitas a leg up in being able to stop any other Keybladers if he found them again. Vanitas had doubts about the clowns ability to actually grant such powers, at least without repercussions, but then again, the promise of a little chaos was also always enticing.
Vanitas came through a corridor to Darkness just as Kefka began his showmanship of laughing and making a large fool of himself. Really? And Vanitas thought that Xehanort had been a bit pompous. The clown’s brain was a like a sack of cats, nothing to look forward too. That being said, Vanitas leapt up onto one of the rooftops, not far from Leif, spotting his target and odd dance. A ranged fighter hmm? Maybe he’d prove more useful than Braig had ever been to Xehanort. Maybe, but it was unclear. Instead, Vanitas leaned against a chimney that, honestly, looked quite disfigured, and tried to survey the scene. So the castle tower had been thrown, and there was some large heartless being attacked that was attacking the castle. Seemed there was a man on fire, and at least a few others scattered about too.
The sound of cannon fire from behind though caught Vanitas’ attention. He saw the giant ship of Hook’s and his eyes widened, putting his mask over his face to keep ready for battle. Unversed began populating the field, Bruisers popping in front of the cannonballs meant to strike at Kefka, Hades, Leif, Hadria and himself and take the hits from the cannonballs, whilst four scrappers appeared, two near the Masked Apprentice‘s crowd and two on Hook‘s ship. After the Cannonball had been taken by the Bruisers, Vanitas leapt into the air and began making his way for Hook’s ship, leaping from rooftop to rooftop to get closer and up to the ship itself. “HEY! Clown! How about a little help with this ship?” he called, hoping to get Kefka’s attention to a potential large threat as the Unversed began their own strikes, with one scrapper going for Jack Sparrow, Another going for the Large heartless machine, and the Bruisers standing by their target summoned near, keeping them defended until they fell. As soon as Vanitas reached the highest point, he quickly teleported to behind Hook and Smee, dropping his key blade down to strike at Hook and distract him. |

The Masked Apprentice didn't pay much attention to the little flea of a man scampering up the rooftop, turning his attention slowly to Hades instead as he appeared right next to him. "Yes... and you would know." he spoke dryly, in a rather flat but sarcastic tone as if implying towards the god's past failures. He was about to summon his weapon, when finally one of his pirate allies arrived, at least before the darkness had surmounted any kind of attack. "Taking down the monarchy will leave the people in disarray... take care of him." he motioned towards Hades, and left the two to continue his destructive work. It seemed like his plan was working, for obnoxious laughter could be heard from a nearby rooftop, making some embarrassingly ridiculous joke about coins or something the Masked Apprentice wasn't really paying attention about. The only one who was actually laughing at his laughable appearance summoned some copy of Masked Man's former puppet, and it and the jester attacked the Infernal Engine. Cloud's Cross Slash would have struck it from behind, the force giving more momentum to the battering ram and breaking down a outer wall, if the Heartless hadn't turned to block the almighty three sword slashes by spitting out three boxes that would be destroyed by the crystal being's strikes. Heartless turned to confront the manikin. Kefka's Trine came next, colliding with the siege engine, but no status effect came as the Heartless was immune to all of them. Apprentice's attention had turned away from the clown's request to watch it, however; he could only smirk under his hood, knowing their plan was working. And such more so, as the foolish warriors of the dark kept attacking the giant Heartless, another woman wearing a mask that didn't fit her in the slightest impaling and stabbing at the smaller Heartless at the top. The first stab from above destroyed the first archer Heartless before it got a shot off, and then a second slash at the other two destroyed them in one shot. Masked Man didn't even bother to pay further mind to the woman in red attempting to call for his name, turning to stare first at the damage the battering ram of his Heartless was making to the outer wall of the castle, before promptly ignoring the rest of the chaos around him to focus on the towers of the castle itself once more unconcerned for everyone else around him. Not even when he took a few steps forward, was he concerned as a giant canon blast exploded behind him, darkening him in silhouette as smoke, stone and ash rose into the sky to blot out the sun. It looked like finally his last ally had arrived, bringing with him his whole ship... despite the fact, as far as he knew that Disney Town or it's castle was no-where near a body of water. Maybe down by that river and the docks where the steamboats used to be in times past, and he had to say he was impressed by the range of the canon fire and how close it came to incinerating him. If only Sparrow had brought a ship with him as well and shown the same competence and ruthlessness as Hook... oh well, that was pirates for you, you couldn't trust them completely. Last and not least came a influx of Unversed, as their master arrived on the battlefield, and the apprentice felt all were coming had finally all answered his invitation. The idiots; all of them had the chance to attack him, but all of them were fearful of his power he had flexed. He had taken all this time to recover from the energy of his Gravity Shift to throw the tower, which they had also all ignored as it rolled and crushed perhaps dozens or maybe even hundreds of Disney Town citizens, save for Sparrow upon his entrance. The Infernal Engine watched with it's ever malevolent grin as the three boxes that Cloud were destroyed to Summon Soldier Heartless now Hadria had destroyed the archers, each when freed by their prisons to split up to use Spin Kick, one on the Cloud Manikin and two on Hadria as the Infernal Engine turned to ram Disney Castle once again. As for the man in the orange-hooded cloak once again turning his attention to Disney Castle, he once again lifted his hand and plucked another tower off the fortress of light like a petal from a flower, aiming it like a missile as in one fell Gravity Shift to not only knock the insignificant flea that was the archer off the castle but to crash into the group of Unversed that converged on Jack Sparrow and possibly Hades. All in one, fell, stone-solid swoop. ~~**~~ Infernal Engine Battle Theme: Fight and AwayMasked Apprentice Battle Theme: He Who Brings The NightGravity Shift: Finished cooldown, used immediately upon being recharged. Infernal Engine: Summon Solider Heartless: When all archers are destroyed (1HP), the Infernal Engine shoots out boxes of Soldier Heartless (5HP), that quickly multiply until the archers respawn (next turn after they are all destroyed). Solider Heartless - Spin Kick: Jump and spin-kick on descent. (Three turn cooldown.) Infernal Engine currently has 16HP. (Minus Kefka's Trine's cooldown.)

| Oh Ivalice, this place is worse than Traverse Town... Concentrate...
Ironically the odd position Lief was squatting in was not hurting his legs. He thought it might, since it'd been a while since he had done such a thing, but he felt fine. Perhaps it was the energy the ability gave him, or maybe it was because he hadn't done it for long enough yet. Either way it one less distraction Lief had to worry about. The Hunter felt a little uneasy as he squatted there, watching the tower fall slowly to the ground, waiting for the Boost to finish. He was so ... open to attack... It almost scared him.
But there he squat waiting for the moment to be right.
The burst of flames was possible to see in the corner of his eyes, but his focus mind tried to blot it out. He didn't notice the appearance of the new comers until a loud obnoxious laugh cut into Lief's thoughts. Oh... no... Come on, Ramses, concentrate! The sharpshooter was able to force his body to not look away from the cart he was concentrating on, not to think about the evil clown that just appeared, not to jump out of his skin and give away his position on the roof of a random building in the town square... His target was the cart... He couldn't let the outnumbering odds overwhelm him. The last time he did that... well... he was massacred. This wasn't the time to fail. This time there was no judge to save him.
But it was getting harder and harder to keep focused...
Some crystallized ... thing attacked the cart, looking oddly like that jerk with the huge over compasting sword. GOOD HE SHOULD BE TURNED TO CRYSTAL! |
That attack was followed by a really sexy woman slashing at the little Heartless things on top with a wicked blade. Get a hold of yourself Lief! he cried in his head to keep his thoughts strait as his eyes lingered on the women for a bit too long. Boost was reaching its conclusion and Lief knew it. He felt his senses sharpen, his body ready, everything in line to fire off a shot. Now... to minimize the distractions. Lief shut his eyes for a few seconds, breathing in and out slowly before slowly opening them once more. It was like everything else on the field had vanished. Every person, every distraction, everything BUT that monster. Lief's brown eyes locked on it, like he had done with nearly every monster he came across. That usual feel of adrenaline, that smirk that he knew it was cornered... Lief, in one movement, slipped the bow off his back and fitted an arrow in it. He pointed the head of the arrow towards the cart, adjusting it as he figured out the distance between himself and the moving, supposed Heartless. "Meet your match." Lief muttered before firing off his SIDEWINDER attack. An arrow covered in energy from the boost and Sidewinder itself fired itself at the Heartless dead on. Boost had strengthened, nearly doubled, his weapon strength, plus the attack itself was doubled against any and all monsters... and if it wasn't a Heartless, Lief was damn sure that was a monster. It rounded that the attack was four times stronger then it normally was going to be... Lief smirked as he watched the arrow race towards the monster, but before he could see it hit... a monster appeared next to him from nowhere taking a out of nowhere canon ball hit from the roof next to him. "WHAT THE-?! Lief was set pitching off the roof with the closeness blast, despite the strange creature appearing to save his skin. He was only able to stop the painful fall to the ground by catching the roof at the last second. The world rushed back to life around him, with the sounds of townspeople screaming, people shouting, words being exchanged and Lief's own heart racing in his chest. He attempted to pull himself up but only managed to get half his body on the ledge. The roof was too slanted for him to climb it up any more, the building next to him too high grab, and the other side blasted by the canon ball leaving.... no roof left! Lief was trapped, save the long fall to the ground... He managed to snake his legs on the drain pipe on the building next to him, leaving him in a pretty bad angle to do much else but watch. He noticed the were more of the strange Heartless looking creatures scattered throughout, a guy with fire as hair, a so very attractive women wearing a weird mask, and some guy with a bandana, all standing close to the man with the orange cloak. Lief was also able to see Kefka from his position and some guy in a full headed mask mask who shouted about needing help with a ship... Ship? Who the HELL drives an airship in HERE?! but regardless LIEF could use some help right now, seeing as he was pretty much stuck where he was... So he waved an arm towards the demented clown and shouted "YO! HEY! I COULD REALLY USE SOME HLP RIGHT NOW! His cover was probably blown now but... it was a small price to pay for some help. But instead of an immediate answer from the clown... ANOTHER TOWER RIPPED OFF THE CASTLE. "This is bad... We are suppose to be DEFENDING that castle... aren't we?" Lief had no idea now... There was too much going on everywhere. Too many people, to little clues. This wasn't a just "kill all opposing foes", this was a mission. And Lief was failing that. The tower took off like a missile and launched itself at the random creatures that looked like Heartless... This was becoming unreal to Lief and the hunter had to serious wonder.... Was he going to make it out of here alive? [/div] [atrb=width: 100px; height: 400px][atrb=vAlign,top] ~~ ~~ OOC: Pffft, Masked dude I wasn't on the castle silly! I was on one of the roofs in the town we are in, like Kefka, and Vanitas are/were. And Ventus Vanitas! It's LIEF not LEIF ~~ ~~

COOLDOWNSBoost: Good to use next post[ Lief doesn’t attack for a turn to draw his power towards him allowing him to have a stronger weapon attack next round. This renders him open to attack, as he cannot use another move for this turn. The buff wears off once he uses an action or counterattacks (as in a counterattack Reaction ability).] Sidewinder: Monster Target: 3 posts remaining[ Lief uses the full force of the bow to aim a heavy shot at his target. The damage is doubled when the target is a monster. Creatures that have no human thought processes and attack out of instinct rather then logic define monsters. Excluded are: Human Heartless, Formed Nobodies, Possessed Monster-like beings, or races that resemble monsters but have human thought (such as the bangaa or moogles).] About the damage:I BELIEVE it should be 8 as boost should DOUBLE the DOUBLED power of sidewinder. Sidewinder has a cooldown of 2 posts it is doubled in power because the Infernal Engine is a monster making it four. Plus Boost ups the strength of the attack, effectively easily said as DOUBLED. So four post cooldown becomes an eight post cooldown, damage wise. But if you want to say the cooldown is only three for Sidewinder monster hit, then the least should be 4 if you aren't doubling but only adding the cooldown of boost, which is one. Honestly it shouldn't be that weak though, boost doesn't expressively state double, but one extra point isn't exactly high enough. I'd settle for 6, 3 for the sidewinder cooldown doubled by boost. Buttt I'll let you work out the damage and hope you're reasonable Masked person.

Apparently the annoying orange did not have a way with words, or he just didn't care. Big mistake. See, at some point, he would have to deal with the Lord of the Dead and the terms of their meeting would be different. A cannonball flew overhead, missing their meeting area by inches. Hades chuckled and spoke up, "Really? You're pitting me against him? I'd sooner fight the one with the Hook. At least I could throw a crocodile at him. But seriously, this guy?" He pointed at Sparrow with a look of disgust on his face, "If I wanted to tango with the flunkies, I would have blown up your machine down below instead." He had heard enough about Jack Sparrow that made him just want to reap the guy's pathetic soul and get it over with.
That pathetic clown's laughter was heard across the entire town and probably, Hades guessed, inside the Castle as well. He was so LOUD! That voice grated on his ears. The only good thing about it was that he knew what Kefka was planning and it was going to be magnificent. Say what you will about the Son of a Submariner, he knew how to destroy things. Hopefully this day would turn out to be more than just him fighting a worthless pirate.
He completely ignored the fool's words, though, and focused instead on Mr. "Orange you glad I didn't say Banana?" It was a good thing he did, too, because another tower was thrown at him and Sparrow. He phased into his Smoke Form and the tower passed through him, knocking his image out of sync. He reformed a second later and said, "Oy, I hate it when that happens. Yoohoo! Annoying Orange guy!" He continued to ignore Sparrow, gliding toward the Apprentice while building fire in his right hand. He didn't even bother to pay attention to the tossed Tower as it continued its rampage through the town. How dare he ignore him! He had no idea the price he would pay for this. Luckily, Hades was ready to give him a taste of what's to come, launching a Fireball Pitch at the Hooded Orange, saying, "CATCH!"
---------------------------------------------------------------------- -Skills- Smoke Form: Hades can transform any part of his body into smoke, making it intangible. This isn't used too much for attacking, but again to enhance a point he's making. Cooldown: Three posts if used to dodge/attack.
Fireball Pitch: Hades will throw multiple fireballs at his opponent, generally three or four at a time. Cooldown: Three Posts.

AND NOW BACK TO THE GOOD PART!
Jack Sparrow didn't have long to wait, as a ... jester? Yeah, a jester was throwing magic at the Heartless. "Either I already drank all the rum or I didn't need it begin with." Then he flinched as cannons were fired and saw a flying pirate ship attack. Jack guessed that he was the other ally Cloaky mentioned before they arrived. Then... Cloaky told him to take care of the guy with fire on his head. "Whoa, hold on there, mate. Perhaps we should let our mate with cannons take care of that jester and take care of..." He watched as the cloaked man just walked off. "Well... a little rude there." Luckily for Jack, the blue man was infuriated at being ignored and proceeded to chase the cloaked man. The cogs turned in Jack's head. "That's right! You go get that Orange guy, whoever you are, mate! Don't let him tell you who you can or can't kill, savvy?!" Jack then fled into an alleyway, hoping the blue guy could keep his employer distracted.
... Or he WOULD have, if a Scrapper Unversed hadn't blocked his egress. Jack cocked his head, first confusing it with a Heartless before realizing it looked far different. "I suppose we can't talk things over tea." Jack said, before the Scrapper moved in to attack him. Jack unsheathed his sword and unleashed No Mercy, an inescapable sword attack. He then immediately fled into the alleyway, whether the Unversed was destroyed or not. He now knew of a few things. One, his employer didn't much care whether he died, which probably meant he didn't care about ridding Jack of the Black Spot. Bollocks. Two, this battle was quickly getting out of hand and Jack knew it. Three, if he didn't get off this world, he was likely going to die no matter which side was victorious. After fleeing for a good while, Jack stopped to catch his breath. That's when he looked up and noticed Gummy Ships fleeing the area. A few had ropes dangling beneath them to help others escape.
Well... there's a thought.

GOOD PART?! My friend, you have no idea. . . Hohohohohoho. . . Out of the corner of his eye Kefka spotted his favorite associate, fellow Warrior of Chaos and a Heartless with a thirst for destruction and blood that rivaled his own, the beautiful Hadria! As she prepared her attack, her little comment made the jester grin, chuckling as he glanced at her and replied. “Of course my dear, have at it, have fun! Do leave some for us though, I’m not leaving until I destroy something! We do have a job you know!” Kefka told her, returning his gaze back to the Heartless as it was attacked. It spat out boxes, blocking the manikin’s Cross Slash to earn an angry grunt from the jester. Weren’t those things supposed to be unable to block or dodge? It didn’t matter though, it would only mean that the destruction of the fiend would be delayed. Then, the Heartless reacted as if it received no damage at all from Hadria’s leaping off of the top of the building to impale it with her sword!! Ugh, this thing certainly was tougher than the Heartless anyone else could summon. Oh well, at least Hadria seemed to be having fun slashing at the creatures. And that shot! What a shot!! It was far more powerful a blow from a bow than Kefka had ever seen, he was sure it was a crippling blow to the Heartless, no matter how tough it was. Even he’d not want to be hit by the attack. Finding himself and Hadria’s comments ignored by the orange hooded buffoon, Kefka’s eye started to twitch. He then began to tap his foot out of a combination of irritation towards the situation against the Masked Apprentice and his pet, and out of impatience that it was taking so long to destroy the thing. At least he couldn’t call the situation uninteresting, his manikin’s strikes had apparently summoned more Heartless to the battlefield when it destroyed the boxes. Pathetic creatures they were, he couldn’t help but snicker at their excuse for an attack on the manikin. ‘ Cloud’ stared at the Heartless that had kicked him with a blank stare, almost as if it didn’t know that a counter attack was worth the energy. YES! Finally some more destruction worthy of his time! The Masked Apprentice grabbed at yet another tower of the castle, tearing it from the structure towards the two that had been near him. Though the display of power was impressive, it was completely worthless in execution. No one even died!! The citizens had probably fled that area by now, and his pest of a minion fled the scene like a yellow bellied coward. Hmph, and to use such a meaningless attack on Hades was laughable at best, but even Kefka couldn’t find humor in the sheer stupidity of the action. Come on, when was there going to be any fun?! It was then that Vanitas’s cries for help finally registered in Kefka’s mind, the mad mage raising a hand to his ear in order to attempt and hear what his ally had said. “Clown?! Ugh, does no one know the difference between a clown and a jester anymore?! The nerve... But fine, fine fine fine I’m on my wa-” as Kefka spun towards the location he’d heard Vanitas’s voice from, dropping his arms to his sides a cannonball tore through the Unversed that had come to aid the jester and the projective erupted in a powerful explosion that sent the lunatic flying into the sky. A few seconds later he went crashing through the hole in the roof which he’d been standing upon and vanished into its interior. For a moment there was naught but silence, though if one had been in the mind of Kefka they’d find just how enraged he’d become. NOTHING had gone right so far in the supposed defense of Disney Town by the Darkness, spare perhaps the archer’s shot against the Heartless. Their attacks had proven ineffective against the creature, and the Masked Apprentice seemed as interested in fighting them as Kefka was of actually making sure the town was safe. All he seemed to care about was destroying the town, taking away HIS shot at doing it! He was the supreme being of Darkness now, the leader of the Warriors of Chaos! It was HIS job to destroy the town, not this masked likely scar faced fruity cloaked fool who besides raw power had proven himself to be absolutely WORTHESS!! Lower than lower than dirt! On top of all that, the NERVE of whoever launched that attack on him! A cowardly attack from behind, not even giving him so much as a signal! Well no more, this was going to end NOW. Kefka made up his mind, it was time to show these fools exactly who they were dealing with. They’d see and feel true power, and tremble at the might that the God of Magic had in store for them. GUWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!Lief’s cry for help was overtaken by Kefka’s scream of rage, the small house he was in erupting in a powerful explosion from his Extra Crispy Firaga colliding with its gas lines. A streak of smoke could be seen escaping the eruption into the street before racing skyward, revealing Kefka in all the glory that was his EX Mode: The God of Magic. On his way seemingly into the sun, he unknowingly (thanks to his blinding temper) swept Lief from his insecure place at the roof’s edge onto his own shoulders, his attention more immediately focused on the Masked Apprentice and his Heartless below. “I told you once, I’ll tell you twice, it is going to be ME that destroys everything, do you understand?! Sure, you can help, but to take it upon yourself to try and eliminate the capital of my enemy? UNFORGIVABLE! And now I’m going to Neutralize you, and blow this place to smithereens! Hasta la bye bye, baby!” The God of Magic announced from his perch in the sky, ensuring that with the sun behind him that it would be very difficult to attempt and counter his attack. He immediately brought his arms before him, palms towards his face as a white magical circle formed just beneath him, a second rising up from it through Kefka and then into the sky as it began raining down the powerful spheres of Forsaken. As each sphere rained upon those in between him and the Masked Apprentice (the Heartless, the Manikin, Hadria, and the Unversed), several spheres would drop towards their opponent before the line of fire started making its way back towards Kefka. Each sphere would explode upon contact with the ground or body, shattering the immediate area and forming small craters in their wake. It was on the way back that one of the orbs crashed upon the manikin’s spiky crystal head, erupting in a ground shattering explosion that caused a distorted cry to escape its mouth. Now, it was time for the true demonstration of power to begin! “Do be careful my dears, I don’t want you to be destroyed before the grand finale!” Kefka taunted his opponents, Forsaken’s hitting the manikin being all Kefka needed to continue on with his onslaught of the town. If music could truly be heard, the current track would be silenced as a much more foreboding sound would fill the air, reaching its opening climax of sound when Kefka finally attacked. A golden glyph formed behind Kefka as he spread his wings to the fullness of their span, arms half cocked at his sides while three spheres appeared behind to form the points of a triangle. Atop and behind his head was the blue sphere, representing Goddess, to his right was the yellow sphere of Fiend, while to his left was the red sphere of Demon, representing the three members of the Warring Triad from which Kefka had gained his enormous power. After a few seconds they vanished, a blinding flash of light emanating from Kefka as he rose his hand over his head. “I’ma firin’ muh lazar!” the God of Magic gleefully laughed at his usage of the meme, before driving his hand towards the orange hooded fool, screaming “BOOM!” as what was arguably the most powerful attack in existence rained from the sky and the pillar of light descended upon the town like a god breaking from the heavens to smite his adversaries. The devastating explosion from Light of Judgment shook the entire area of the world, its shockwave certainly hitting the ship and sending it away if not capsizing the vessel from its force. Back at the epicenter of the attack, the area of town was disintegrated. Immediately around it seemed like gravity had started going sideways as the energy overtook the buildings and sent shrapnel flying through the air like confetti in a parade. A cloud of smoke consumed the town, and from above the God of Magic laughed darkly at his handiwork. It was just like when he used the attack in the World of Ruin, leveling towns that dared to oppose him or his will. “WHOA-OHOHOHOHOHOHOHO~!! Oh, I love it I love it I LOVE IT! Isn’t it such a grand sight to see what true power can do?! Isn’t it amazing to hear the screams of agony from the innocent, the cries of pain from the weak pathetic excuses for life that reside here! Oh, their sound is music to my hears! How it makes my heart skip to hear them pain so!”As the smoke cleared below, it revealed a horrifying sight. Where the grand and colorful town that had been the capital of the Light was now nothing more than an expansive crater. Well, maybe nothing more, there was the ashy and burnt remains of the town scattered throughout the hole in the ground. Still, this display greatly pleased Kefka, who laughed again as he slapped his knee, and started a victory dance in midair. He almost seemed as if he was skipping with his hands on his hips, breaking the fourth wall and started humming a very familiar victory fanfare. It was only now, as the power of his EX Mode faded from him that Kefka noticed a rather heavy object on his shoulders. The God of Magic form vanished and in a flash, he looked over his shoulder as he hovered in midair to finally spot Lief for possibly the first time in the entire battle. He grinned, unable to contain his happiness. “Why HELLO my colorful friend, so nice of you to drop by! I haven’t seen you in a few minutes have I? Not since I did this to the jungle! You did come to aid us didn’t you, after all you know better than to oppose me again! Hohoho, it’s good to see you! Are you ready to finish helping me destroy this world and Neutralize our shared foe, before I finally bask this world in the Darkness to which it belongs?! OF COURSE you have! Now, let’s get started!” Kefka laughed again, dropping out of the sky like a stone before he flipped just above the ground, and hovered there not knowing if Lief was clinging to his shoulders or not. It mattered not to the jester, only one thing did. It was time to finish the job, and send this masked monkey back to the zoo. -------------------------------------------------- In reference to Jask Sparrow’s post’s opening line... THIS IS THE TALE!
