Vivi could sense that the priest was glad to get a chance to explain, but also that his comrades were not happy that he asked his questions. There was no taking it back now, however. It was done. But the information was a relief to Vivi, who had been suspecting for a little while that this mission might end up leading to a heartless nest of some sort. Thankful these fears were unfounded, the tiny mage began to think on the "spirit" business.
Vivi had dealt with Eidolons, sure, but this spirit stuff sounded more complicated than the guardian spirits summoners could conjure.
In the midst of all this, the littlest black mage had noticed that this Artemis person did not seem too terribly comfortable with this mission at all. Vivi tried not to think of Cloud's opinion of all this because he had a feeling it would be similar to his opinion when they'd met before... Vivi doubted he would ever gain the man's favor at this point...
The little one was snapped out of his reverie to see Cloud blocking most of an attack; the little mage put his arms up over his face to keep the cinders and flame from striking there, which was the only really exposed part of him. He brought his arms down and watched as Cloud and Artemis took off into the sky after the creature, having been told to stay behind and protect the priest.
The tiny mage pulled out his staff and did as he was asked, knowing Cloud did not think Vivi would be able to help in any other way, but not being overly eager to prove otherwise. Vivi had a feeling that something else would approach at any moment. The surprise attack had the two most powerful warriors occupied; the little mage had to stay alert.
He brushed the ash and charred bits off his jacket, golden eyes still looking about.
"Stay close, sir..." Vivi said quietly, trying not to attract the dragon's attention from it's current adversaries.

Fear was plastered on the old man's face as he looked at the dragon that had made its attack. The priest just cowering behind the warriors as the warrior with the large sword as able to block most of the attack. Tobias covering his face to protect himself from any extra flames. It was quite an amazing sight to see such power displayed. He watched as the woman's coat caught fire worried at first before watching her remove it. Eyes widening when he saw the wings. "An angel...." he couldn't help but be amazed, after all he was a priest.
The dragon roar as the two attacks from the winged humans connected with it's body. The beast crashing into the side of the mountain making it shake dropping a few rocks near where Vivi and Tobais stood. The dragon roared again as it sent two fire blast at the wingged humans.
As the battled raged on the skys grew darker, and they began to roar with thunder. Tobias looked up in fear. "Its the spirit! It knows we're here! he cried out in slight fear before yelling to Cloud and Artemis, "WARRIORS! This thunder is the doing of the spirit watch yourselves!" he tried to warn as lightning shot down from the skies aiming at everyone, Vivi and the priest, the dragon, and the winged people. After the lightning struck the winds would have begun to pick up to try and make it more difficult for Cloud and Artemis to fly.

The Lightning Rod Good, everything was going according to plan. The dragon plummeted out of the sky due to the combined efforts of Cloud and Artemis, the angel following his lead as directed. A glance downward showed that Vivi was sticking close to the priest as well, everyone was doing as the Imaginary SOLDIER had ordered and as planned the dragon was quickly becoming subdued. It was still lively though, enough alive to send a powerful blast of fire at Cloud and another at Artemis.
“Look out!” Cloud warned as he arched his wing, tucking it to roll out of the way of the powerful fireball just in the nick of time. He barely had time to notice how singed the side of his outfit had become when a bolt of lightning tore through the sky directly before him, vanishing from a stroke of luck just before Cloud made it to the discharge had been. It was now the priest’s warning reached his ears, an amused snort escaping Cloud’s lips. Better late than never, he thought, glaring back down at the dragon once more. Even it wasn’t discriminated against as a target it would seem, the reptile being struck by lightning just like had been attempted on himself. I need to end this now, so we can focus on the spirit. It’s stronger than I thought, distractions could be deadly.
Pulling his wing against his body Cloud plummeted out of the sky towards the dragon, an orange aura consuming him as lightning filled the sky around him. He’d shoulder Ultima Weapon and try to fly straight through the enemy, changing course without warning to dart through it four times in rapid succession from all around with Omnislash Version Five. He drove his foot into the ground after the final strike, spinning on his heel to leap into the air above the dragon then plummet downwards to slam his sword into it and cause a ground shattering explosion in an attempt to kill the beast once and for all.
“You know I couldn’t stand the guy at first, though I can’t help but enjoy the demonstration of his power,” |
Dusk spoke aloud in his head, as if he didn’t care Cloud could hear him. “Agreed.” Ignoring the pair of voices in his head, Cloud landed nimbly on his feet nearby and reached up with his right hand to catch his blade just as a bolt of lightning targeted his position. He didn’t even know he was struck at first, the full power of the discharge coursing through his body as soon as he grasped the handle of Ultima Weapon. “Aahh!” Cloud cried out in pain, immediately dropping the blade as he dropped to a knee and grasped his right arm. He looked down at his hand, it was smoking from the contact with his weapon during the attack and severely burned from the electricity that had coursed through him. Cloud coughed, burns littering his body and his outfit singed a slight black. He spread his wing and winced from the pain, growling as he looked up towards the mountain top. It’d take another minute before he had the energy to cure himself, and the burn on his dominate hand made him more susceptible to attacks than he’d like to admit. Right on cue, Dusk made his opinion known. “Tch though there are times where he seems as weak as the kid.” Or maybe this spirit’s even stronger than you. Cloud thought in retaliation to the dark one’s quip. “Ha, as if that’s possible.” That bolt was powerful, and it didn’t take much to beat you before Cloud thought, a small smirk on his face the only sign this conversation was happening. “I blame that on my host, not much I can do about that, but this spirit is not as strong as me, hmph.” Let’s just hope... Cloud sighed, all he could do was wait and hope that the others had fared better than him and were ready to assault the main objective.[/div]

As her Wings of an Fallen Angel kept her in the skies, 'Artemis' stared at the dragon as it fell. While the fallen angel physically appeared to be focused on the fight on hand, her mind was somewhere else on another world where it was always freezing cold. 'Artemis' tilted her head to one side and her mask gave in to a small frown as she began to pity the fallen dragon. He probably never had a choice or maybe it did thus his fate may end like the Dark Dragon... mused the dark keybearer until Cloud's shout snapped her out of her thoughts and back to the battle. The dragon had breathed a blast of fire at her and another at Cloud though not in that order.
As Cloud ducked under the flame, the fallen angel's wings flapped once and carried her closer to the darkening skies to rise above the blast of fire that had been rapidly coming at her. She had felt the heat from the sheer vicinity alone and being unused to high temperatures, Selena felt herself sweat because of it. While Cloud began to attack the dragon with his Omnislash technique, the dark keybearer quickly used her free arm to wipe the sweat off her forehead. Selena briefly wondered what Hell, if it were a world on its own, was like as she figured that the stories and legends she had heard during her own journey had to start from a single grain of truth. She decided that the temperature would be hotter than Agrabah, a world she had already grew dislike for. However in regards to the SOLDEIR’s actions, all she could do was shake her head. “Show off.”
Her other hand tightened its grip on the Heartsickness keyblade as a measure of security. Despite the knowledge that it would faithfully come back to her hand even if she dropped it, 'Artemis' had always felt safer with the keyblade close to her while in a casual situation where everyone and everything should be fine, felt insecure and even anxious without it. A certain Nobody’s word of advice or else Selena may lose her ability to use the keyblade echoed into her mind and the fallen angel gritted her teeth. Needless to say, the thought of losing her Heartsickness keyblade after a decade’s worth of faith terrified her. However, nobody is allowed to tell her of what she should and should not do. Pun not intended.
The roar of the thunder startled her and ‘Artemis’ rapidly glanced around as if there was thunder, there was lightning. She quickly aimed to land as soon as possible. Selena had already had a taste of lightning during the last round of a tournament and she certainly didn’t wish for another taste test. When ‘Artemis’ managed to land on the ground, she had heard the SOLDIER’s cry of pain and turned toward his direction. “Cloud!” The dark keybearer quickly ran toward Cloud to support him, and unintentionally avoided a lightning strike as it struck where she had previously stood. She quickly rummaged in her jean pockets, but couldn’t find a potion. ‘Artemis’ inwardly cursed herself as she realized that they were in her cloak that she had left behind. “Sorry…You think you can hold up long enough to beat the spirit?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wings of an Fallen Angel: The ebony wings on Selena's back allows her to fly to great heights and jump higher than any normal human would. Unfortunately, it hinders her ability to physically run [unless she's flying too close to the ground], by making her slow. They are also a nuisance when near water especially since she has little to no ability to swim. [~Passive~]
Vivi's golden eyes were glued to the sky; he was watching with concern as his "teammates" were fighting the dragon creature without his help, growing more and more concerned for them as Artemis seemed to have trouble concentrating and Cloud appeared to plummet from the sky for a moment before going into a rather impressive attack.
The littlest black mage could feel the tingle in the air as a thunder attack was rained down on the group. Thinking of the priest and his age, the tiny mage pushed him out of the way of a lightning strike, ending up falling down on the ground himself. For once, being small helped him a bit as, though he felt the shock, it was not full force, and like with the fire, most of Vivi's body was covered and cloth didn't conduct electricity. Vivi slowly stood up and checked himself for an exit wound the lightning might have left behind, but realized it didn't matter right now.
He had been given a job to do. Look after the priest.
Vivi returned to the man's side and looked him over.
"Are you ok?" He asked as he tried to shake off the tingling in his face; though whether it was from the attack or adrenaline, Vivi didn't know.
In the back of Vivi's mind, he was deciding what to do. If they were attacked again, he would have to fight for sure. They probably wouldn't be able to carry Cloud down this mountain path if he was injured further... At the same time, Vivi had been trying to save up his energy for the Spirit, which he hoped they would be able to take down quickly if they all worked together. Hopefully Vivi wasn't wasting the effort in reserving his strength.
"If it's able to attack us like that, we can't be far off from it... That kind of control, to be able to strike multiple targets, takes concentration and aim... and a lot of power." Vivi's musings were mostly to himself, but his senses were on high alert now, waiting for another attack.
((OOC: Fail post is fail; sorry for it.))
The dragon roared as again it was struck by the powerful attack, its body going limb as the dragon fell from its place on the wall and falling down the mountain with a loud crash. The dragon no longer an problem for the warriors that wished to destroy the spirit. As the dragon were taken care of the pirest nodded to the small one. "Yes, thank you very much Sir Vivi," he nodded to him happy to nod have gotten any injury, though by the looks of things he could not say the same from his protectors. Both Vivi and Cloud having caught the lightning of the spirit. Though it seemed to have only grazed Vivi Cloud took worse damage.
The holy man stood up as he clenched onto a necklace on his person as he walked toward Cloud casting a small cure spell on him. He probably would have done so with Vivi however it seemed the taller warrior was in more pain. The spell seemed weak and it would probably at least help the burns Cloud receive from the lightning but would not completely heal it. "I wish I can help more, though I have never been to good with healing magic," he said before he looked into the sky. He could hear the thunder booming as the sky became darker, the whole group would start to feel droppings of rain.
"We must hurry and go up before the spirit has a chance to stop us again." he said before he began climbing again, now seeming much more in a hurry. It would take some time before the group would finally reach the top. During their travels up they would have experienced heavy winds which would have made their movements slow. As well as thunder strikes that would have hit the mountains walls to crush the group with rocks. Whether the warriors were able to block or avoid it didn't matter. What was important now was that they reached the top.
Once up top the rain would have grew, which would undoubtedly make all thunder attacks grown in strength. At the top of the mountain they would have noticed the small shine dedicated to the spirit. In the middle of it was a statue of falcon was there. "That there is the spirit's medium, we destroy that we can get rid of my village's problem," he pointed. "However it is protected by a magic shield, given time I can break it"
"PRIEST!
A voice yelled out, the statue glowing for a short while before it seemed to spark with lightning as a falcon made of lightning came from it, sitting on top the shrine. "You were warned not to come here again"
"I came here to protect my village from your attacks!"
"You are a fool! But now as promised I shall kill you and your fool hearty warriors"
"WARRIORS! I need you to protect me from being hit for a short while so that I may conjure a blast strong enough to beak the spirit's shield!" he ordered as he began a chant, the seal glowing and released an energy around him.
The Spirit then began to flap its wings against each other to create a powerful shock wave of wind to blast at the warriors. If they did not avoid they would have found themselves struck by a powerful wind that would have felt as if they were stuck by a steel wall. After the attack the bird form retreated back into it's statue.
I'm still here guys Cloud looked over his shoulder at Artemis, nodding in response to her question before he glanced at Vivi. “Don’t worry about me, I don’t need any-” Cloud paused as the small green glow of Cure consumed him, earning a sigh as he finished his sentence: “...Help.” His hand’s burns seemed less severe now, more reddened than anything as he reached down to grasp Ultima Weapon and lifted the large blade to perch it on his shoulder. The fingers of his free hand curled, a green glow consuming Cloud once again while he cast Cura on himself. In contrast to the slight burns that the priest had healed, much of the reddened and blackened tones of his body seemed to fade away to nothing more than slight sunburn. The cold rain felt good against his skin, cooling him after his shocking experience. Wanting not to discourage his comrades, Cloud took the lead behind the priest once more and followed up him the mountain path towards their destination. The natural reaction to flinch aided in dodging much of the smaller rocks, a few of the larger ones bouncing off his blade or easily missed with a step to the left or right. Apparently now the spirit was trying to scare than off rather than deal with a full scale assault.
“Going to let this weakling push you around now? Heh.” |
He knows know we’re going. Better to follow him than look all night for this in the rain, Cloud retorted, narrowing his eyes while he brought his free hand over his eyes to shield them from the rain so he could get a better view of the structure before them. It looked quaint, in Cloud’s opinion, nothing really special about it. Apparently the spirits felt otherwise. “Lucky bastard seems to have a nicer shrine than we had.” “Lucky Almost seems regularly kept.” “By the beasts he apparently controls?” “Could be.” ...Beasts taking care of a temple? Doesn’t sound right.“Not all beasts are monsters, our world is proof of that though I’m sure our host would say different.” I wouldn’t know. Still, what I’ve seen so far was just a regular monster.“On our world we are considered beasts, do you see US as monsters?” I guess there’s no way to know if the dragon was sentient... Either way, it’s time to get serious, Cloud wrapped up his thought just in time, the priest briefly explaining that they needed to destroy the statue before the spirit bellowed and roared at the priest. He shrugged, blowing off the spirit’s threat though he couldn’t help but admire the beauty of Zapdos it. For some reason the spirit reminded him of one of the Guardian Forces that Squall used to use, but he shrugged it off and returned his attention to the priest as he asked again for their assistance. With yet another nod, Cloud walked in front of the holy man and stood just to the side while he brought Ultima Weapon in front of him like a shield, placing his left arm against the back of the blade as a brace while he remained ready to protect the priest from any attack the spirit could throw at them. And attack them it did, the wind hitting the sword made Cloud flinch but he stood firm as it channeled around them due to the massive size of his blade. “Make it quick, with power like that it’s going to be tough to protect anyone but ourselves,” Cloud bluntly warned the priest, glancing over his shoulders to make sure that Artemis and Vivi were alright. They needed to all work together, they couldn’t deal with any of them falling. Not against a power like this. Cloud felt confident they could take the spirit, the only problem was protecting the fragile priest that was leading them. ------------------------------ Abilities Used (Forgot Last Round):Omnislash Version Five: Four Post Cool Down Cura: Three Post Cool Down [/div]
As if accepting the SOLDIER's answer, 'Artemis' slowly nodded and backed off from him just as the Priest casted his cure spell on him. Unfortunately due to her immediate concern for Cloud, the dark keybearer never saw the small mage save the Priest from the lightning strike and didn't acknowledge his heroic effort as a result even after he thanked him. How was she to know why he was thanking him? Did Vivi somehow give him some support magic? Her cold eyes glanced up at the dragon and watched it fall and eventually crash down at the bottom. That dragon's a goner...And better off dead. mused the dark angel. She cautiously walked back to where her cloak was, crouched down and rummaged through its pocket to pull out the potion. 'Artemis' stood back up with the small vial in one hand and her cloak in another. The keybearer had full intention to give the smal vial to the SOLDIER who had already healed until she had noticed that the mage's clothes appeared to be slightly ruffled and dirty from the rain and mud from the ground. "Catch." said 'Artemis' to the mage as she lightly tossed the vial to him. Sensing the urgency, the dark keybearer nodded and continued up the mountain right behind them. 'Artemis' quickly shoved any and every thought and reminder that reminded her of her home world to the dark corners of her mind. She learned by now that her lack of concentration could have cost her life, and possibly her comrades' as well. The dark keybearer didn't wish to be at fault for their deaths except for maybe her own. Turning to the Priest, she had been about to ask him if he was 'alright' before the voice of what she and likely everyone else assumed to be the spirit they were hired to take care of. She frowned at the exchange and her head tilted to the right side. It had sounded well-rehearsed as if it had been said many times before. Then again, the Priest did mention before that there were others before us who had attempted this feat and failed... thought Selena as another thought made her even more suspicious, Although if what the Priest said was true...How did he surivive? Silver eyes narrowed at the spirit as it came to life from the statue. Acting from instinct, the dark angel quickly spread her Wings of a Fallen Angel and flew out of the way of the gust of wind. 'Artemis' knew she could count on Cloud and Vivi to keep the Priest safe long enough for him to cast his spell. Landing gingerly on the ground, an aura of darkness surrounded the keybearer as she transformed into her Dark Form and tightened the grip of the Heartsickness keyblade in her hand. As her tail swished to the left side, she icily glared as the bird retreated back to the statue. If the Priest hadn't been working on the spell to remove the enchantment, 'Artemis' wouldn't be hesitating to break that stone to pieces. Knowing that the spirit was listening, the Demon beckoned in the statue's direction for the spirit that inhabited to come at her with her free clawed arm. "Coward, you claim that you have the power to kill us, and yet you're hiding in that pathetic little statue of yours. Come dance with me, and show us your true power." smirked the dark angel as she readied her keyblade for the offense. If the spirit decided to take the bait, she had planned to keep it distracted long enough to complete his spell. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wings of an Fallen Angel]: The ebony wings on Selena's back allows her to fly to great heights and jump higher than any normal human would. Vivi hadn't expected anyone to be concerned if he took a hit because he was already off the good side of Cloud and Artemis, so he was rather surprised when she tossed him a potion. The littlest black mage caught the potion after bouncing it between his gloved hands by accident, shifting nervously as he'd nearly dropped it in surprise. He opened it and gently drank it while walking so as not to hold up the party further, listening carefully to the interaction between the Priest and the Spirit. He made no comment on it... but something began feeling wrong. Vivi knew that others had come so far but... why would the spirit allow the Priest to return home, knowing HE was the one with the power to seal the creature? The littlest mage followed obediently, trying to be seen and not heard as he knew he'd already inconvenienced the group greatly by asking "silly" questions. The problem was, his mind did not feel like being quiet and curiosity continued. Curiosity was a dangerous thing, Vivi supposed. It was good to be curious about what was going on... but dangerous to be curious about the wrong things at the wrong time. At the same time, he couldn't suppress the niggling feeling of doubt over having come along on this mission... He'd been asked to under mistaken identity, he'd accepted, which was foolhardy, he guessed, and he had been a nuisance to Cloud and Artemis. When they reached the shrine, Vivi was covered head to toe in dirt and debris from climbing and didn't bother dusting himself off when he saw the spirit. The littlest mage had been thinking for a while that this spirit was likely a spirit of storms... and it seemed he had been correct. The creature controlled thunder, and a great blast of wind that had been blocked from tiny Vivi by standing behind Cloud but before the Priest. Seeing Artemis take off to distract the creature, the mage began preparing another form of defense against the creature. Vivi looked up at Cloud and stage whispered his plan. "...should I call down a comet as a buffer for future attacks? If I position it right in front of the statue... it might help us..." came the timid request. Vivi surely did not want to agitate Cloud further by doing something unnecessary. He kept his stave up and at the ready, concentrating to be able to deflect or take any stray attack that would head towards the priest. ((OOC: Last post of Vivi not doing anything, I swear... vv; )
The priest tensed when the wall of wind was coming at them, however he still continued his chant as the seal now floated between his hands and a red aura of magic began to release from him. "Yamamemo Yamamichiwa," he repeated over and over again as the blond warrior with the large sword defended him from the blast of the wind. Good good, these warriors were definitely doing much better. Well most of them while the guest of win had knocked back the small one off the mountain completely due to his light weight. He was sure he wasn't dead, however he needed to be sure the other warriors wouldn't go after him. "Please do not leave to save him," he spoke quickly to break his chant in fear the others would leave to save the small one, "We can look for him after but we may not have another chance to defeat this spirit." And that was the end of that as he continued his chant once more.
The spirit did nothing from its spot as he watched the swordsman block the wind from hitting the priest. He really didn't care to kill the warriors for this was their first offense. He wasn't a killer, though if this kept up he might have to. He watches as the woman turns into some sort of demon, the shrine not reacting much to her threat. "I am no brute, wench, and I chose not to be when its not called for, though in this case you all have indeed forced my hand," he answers before again the thunder bird took physical form. It cried a hawk like shriek into the sky as the small rain began to pour and the thunder increase. The spirit using it's Raging Storm to cause the rain and lighting.
With the rain and lighting now in effect he watched as two lightning strikes aimed at Cloud and the Priest in hopes to stop the spell. With that in place the lighting bird flew from it's coop as it dashed at Selena flying around the demon before diving down to try and ram her. And if the attack struck her should would have been electrocuted, and in this rain where the water would only make it worse, was not a good idea.
I Can Summon Too Good, Artemis was able to hold her ground. Even better, she transformed into a sort of demon... He sighed, glancing at his own wing before back towards her. She somehow seemed... A lot more confident in this form, perhaps it came with a boost of strength. They’d need it, since Vivi wasn’t able to hold his own.
“Damn...” Cloud muttered, then turned his attention back towards the spirit as he responded to Artemis. He ignored the priest; Cloud already knew what needed to be done. It was terrible that they had to abandon Vivi like that, but the mission came first. Besides, Vivi was a lot tougher than he looked and Cloud knew the littlest mage would be alright. Still, that didn’t help how bad his disappearance made their chances. If this spirit was anything like Dawn and Dusk, if it was given its element to support it the spirit would give them more trouble than it was worth.
Any advice? Cloud thought quietly, so only the spirits could hear.
You're looking for advice from us? Dawn would ask with some surprise in his tone while Dusk chuckled a bit.
Yeah I have some, don't get killed before you can give us back! Dusk chuckled some more before Dawn gave his brother a huff. Cloud visibly rolled his eyes.
Nothing can be done until the medium is destroyed, destroy that and the spirit won’t be able to do anything. |
Noted. Cloud thought, continuing to hold the sword firmly before him as a shield. The thunderbird took form once more, shrieking to bring about the very change that Cloud had feared. He felt the rain grow harder, heard the thunder grow more intense. “Terrific,” Cloud muttered, closing his eyes as the small red material in his armlet began to glow. From it, a wave of magic pulsated upwards into the storm above and generated a giant scream that thundered across the heavens. From the sky dove the greatest king of dragons: Bahamut Zero. It spread his wings as it drew near to Artemis, flapping the large metallic wings to stay aloft while coincidentally drawing one of the bolts of lightning away from Cloud and the Priest. Like a lightning rod, the metal dragon practically absorbed the bolt while the other collided with the braced ‘SOLDIER’ beneath them. Cloud winced, grunting at the strike but was able to take the blow. “I swear one word joking about smoked chocobo...” Cloud growled under his breath at the spirits, before he spoke louder for the others to hear. Cloud could hear Dusk chuckle, then start to ask a question before being muffled by Dawn. Good, he didn’t have time for them right now. “You’re not the only one with friends,” Cloud announced to the spirit as Bahamut Zero dropped to the ground atop Cloud and the Priest like a shield, roaring at the shrine as it spread its wings once more. The only way to the priest was either through Bahamut Zero, or through Cloud. Was the spirit confident enough to keep up its assault? "If you're gonna do something do it now... I don't know if we'll be able to hold him back much longer..." Cloud whispered to the priest, loud enough for him to hear but not so the spirit would know just how dire it was. Cloud was weakened a lot more by the strike than he'd like to admit, and was grateful both bolts hadn't struck them. If they did... Well, for Artemis's sake he didn't even want to think about it. ------------------------------ Abilities Used (Forgot Last Round):Omnislash Version Five: Three Post Cool Down Cura: Two Post Cool Down Bahamut Zero: Two post duration left! The winged warrior didn't look. She didn't want to watch, but her Heart already knew that Vivi wasn't a part of this battle anymore. Artemis knew that there wasn't anything she could have done to prevent it and that alone pissed her off to no end. The pipsqueak better be alright... mused the Demon as she readied herself for the creature to take up her bait 'Artemis' briefly glanced at Cloud, who had summoned Bahamut, and was a little bit fried for wear. Fortunately, the dark keybearer had never been on Gaia and wouldn't know what a chocobo was therefore couldn't make the connection. Unfortunately, Vivi had taken her last potion so she couldn't help Cloud or defend the Priest out there. Right now, she needed the SOLDIER to defend the Priest from the spirit’s assault. Hearing the roar of the lightning above her, the Demon immediately became drenched in water and grimaced as she remembered the closest experience to getting struck by lightning in the previous tournament. She leaped backward and decided to keep moving to avoid becoming a fried bat. With water plus her horns, 'Artemis' knew that she was a walking-talking lightning rod. Her eyes widen as she spotted that the spirit took her bait. She needs to act fast now and quickly points her keyblade at the hawk-like spirit. "Umbra Vitis Shield!" shouts 'Artemis', but the roar of thunder from a nearby lightning strike drowned her voice. Vines of darkness rose up from the ground and wrapped themselves around Selena to shield her from the spirit's tackle. The lightning however caught her off guard and because of the water amplifying the electricity, the dark keybearer screamed as she and the vines were electrocuted. ~~~~~~~~~ Dark Form: APPEARANCEWith the darkness of her heart, Selena takes on the form of a dragon-like demon of the night. During battle, the most notable difference between this form and her normal form is the increase in speed and strength but a considerable decrease in defense. [Duration: 4 Posts] Umbra Vitis Shield: Selena can raise up many large, thorned vines of darkness to wrap around herself and/or her allies to act like a strong shield. It can be used normally and in her Dark Form. It may also be used in battle and outside of battle. [Cooldown: 1 Post]
