Barrier appeared to be doing it's trick and it was obvious from the roars that the beast was indeed aggravated and upset. There was no way that he could allow his opponent to believe he had the upper hand for even a second. His mind was boggling with different ideas and plans to do put into action as he watched the mist clear from his barrier. Looking at his opponent within the trees, he realized that the Barrier wasn't as strong as it once was. It's color already beginning to dim from just the simple use of protecting himself from the haze. It was then that DATS eyes grew bigger. The beast appeared to be battling with himself. Did his words get across? The whole scene was confusing. There was never anything like this in Space Paranoids or even in his data banks. It was like...fighting but within a body. Was this type of fighting even possible or was it just something with the Darkness? Darkness itself was difficult to understand to the program and didn't seem to settle things. Watching closely, he breathed in softly as he watched the battle appear to end. His curiosity was getting the best of him was again as he wanted badly to know the end result. Did the beast win? Within seconds his question was answered as the second round onslaught began. Watching the beast move towards an attack, DATS was lost at what was going on. Seeing the wood collapse in with the floor of timber he watched as the wood moved around coming closer towards him. Just before it approached him, without thinking, DATS jumped up into the air and watched the flow pass underneath him. Landing back down, he settled his footing and looked up to see where the foe had moved on. He caught it just pushing himself off of a tree. As Hellmasker started it's attack the Barrier took the impact of the first attack and shattered. Glowing 0's and 1's floating off and dissipated like drifted bits of glitter gleaming and then disappearing on site. DATS expecting this stayed for the hit but blitzed away as the next few strikes came. With distance between them DATS paused and starred down his opponent. He allowed a few seconds to come by and then ran quickly towards Hellmasker. When coming close to him, thrusting his body into the air he allowed his momentum to push him forward and he held out his foot to hopefully kick the fiend back. With no extra power in this form, he hoped that momentum enough could give him an edge this time around. (OOC: It's alright, it's the same with me. This is my last post, so it was fun fighting you, hope you win the raid for a reward!)
How this entire fight had been painful and agonizing for both the creation and it's host. The wooden log rolling through the mud had been successful in getting his opponent to move, but when he had dislodged himself from the fallen tree to avoid it the barrier had traveled with him. This was not something the monster had suspected, and it's host internally would have been content with himself if he wasn't already in severe pain, and unable to control his facial expressions. The chainsaw Cerberus was now chewing down with it's teeth into the barrier, which had already shielded from the status-inflicting breath, and had now also protected the boy from the first major blow from the frenzied combo. The rest came erratically for the young male once the shield had shattered, shining particles of light dancing in the air which contrasted against the darkness that still remained in the dark wood, but his melee attacks unlike last time fell short from their target.
The artificial human had somehow moved in the air after jumping to avoid his assault, and was now pausing some distance away. Where he would pause, the fiend would take advantage of his cowardice to move and strike back, already landing on one of the logs below and moving forward once again with it's supernatural speed. A black trail of darkness cascaded off the back of the zombie as it rushed forward, and by the time it had, the boy had started to move once more. Within, Vincent thought how he did not want this, and wanted the boy to defeat him so he would not hurt anyone else. Hurt, hurt, the word seemed to scar into his mind as pain kept thrumming through his very being. Hellmasker raised the hellish chainsaw up once more to strike the boy as he came for him, watching as he held out his leg to attempt to kick him. The swift kick hit him in the gut as the boy collided with him, twisting it's upper body, and the chainsaw came down on the male in a attempt to slash him with a simple counter attack.
But it was not quite done with that simple physical attack, and before DATS got away, he attempted to make a grab for him around his throat. The Hellmasker usually fed from it's victims in this manner, magically being able to drain the life force from a person's soul. But because DATS was not a living, breathing human boy, it would have no effect on his biology. Instead the grab around his throat was just pure strength alone, in a attempt to hold him in place for a moment. He wouldn't be able to choke the boy to death if he could not breathe, but it was better than letting the boy run around and continue to heal himself. Regardless of if he would hit or miss, the urge to kill replaced the normal human emotion of anger, Hellmasker standing firm on a log sinking into the muddy bog as Vincent within hoped the boy would find a way to end his suffering.

After a lot of Voting on the winner, we have chosen that the Dark would have won this battle.
The Dark has captured the Dwarf Woodlands!
Since Vincent Valentine has won, he is allowed an upgrade of one ability or one modification to his powers and will be notified. Requests are to be PMed to Vincent. Congrats!
