"What? Leaving so soon... gah... alright. Fine. Snipers, disembark."
Xigbar wasn't in the sandlot anymore after the man disappeared. His minions had also vanished, leaving no trace behind.
However, as Jecht began showing off to the children, a clapping noise came from behind him. Obviously, it was the Freeshooter, his Sniper's in tow behind him. "Good on you. Showing 5-year-olds and all that. Jeez," the Nobody quipped, chuckling after he spoke. His four odd little 'friends' quivered as their master chuckled in a horribly odd mimicry of joy. Their weapons were lowered, however, so it seemed like the minions had no intention of fighting.
Xigbar stopped, and pulled out his weapons. He began to reload them absentmindedly, yet pointed them away from Jecht, as a sign that he meant no harm at the moment. "You are not from around here. You couldn't make that anymore obvious." He asked absentmindedly as his weapons were being set. "Where are you from... Jecht, right?"

As Jordan left the sand lot and got into trams common the Turk reflected on the fight. It would have gone on a while longer had the cowardly hobo not retreated.
At the moment Jordan passed under the tram tacks a portal opened below him. It swallowed the turk easely and Transpored him away.

Jecht laughed at Xigbar's comment, cracking his neck. "When you're the best there is, you gotta give people a healthy reminder, once in a while." he said, still chuckling. He then turned to the eyepatch wearing gunman and smirked at him. "As for your question, Cyclops, I could ask the same thing about you! You stick out pretty badly yourself, especially with your buddies. I fought similar fiends myself. Probably the only thing keeping me awake in this town."
In his mind, Jecht was thinking about how to answer his question. Or rather, should he. On one hand, he had his weapons to his side and seemed disinterested in starting a fight. On the other hand, he was clearly allied with the Fiends and that's always bad news. Eventually, he came to his decision.
Jecht shrugged and said, "Some place you wouldn't know, probably. Zanarkand. Any other questions you'd like to get off your chest, old timer? I gotta go get some munny."

Xigbar smiled. He could tolerate this guy, even if he seemed like a brute. Perhaps something a bit more profitable could be formed here. He quickly put away his weapons after he finished reloading them, showing with complete assurance that he wasn't here to fight.
"Zanarkand, huh?" He muttered under his breath, already planning on finding out more about that place through his usual methods. He then remembered Jecht's comment about his 'friends' and turned towards his soldiers, and then snapped his fingers. The snipers then bowed to the Freeshooter, and then disappeared. "Nobodies is what they're called. Husks without a heart," he told Jecht, revealing nothing else about himself, and began walking closer to the grizzled man. "Trust me, in this world, right now, they are the least of your concerns."
"You're interested in money, huh? Little small minded, but okay, sure," Xigbar began pacing around the man, arms crossed. "I work for some people. People who might need your services later down the road," he then turned his golden eye towards the sky, betraying no emotion except his usual laid-back personality. "Maybe you might be able to help me out. Interested?"

A job! Finally!
At least, that's what Jecht wanted to think. Instead, he couldn't get over the bad vibes he was getting with this guy. Sure, he seemed like a cool enough guy, but he also commanded these "Nobodies" and Jecht had an odd feeling that this guy was one, too. He didn't understand why he knew that, but he had a gut feeling telling him this man or his comrades were not to be trusted. And if it was true, this guy without a heart did not have the best intentions for him. Of course, he WAS the Great Jecht, so even if he took the job and it turned out to be bad for his health, there wasn't anyone who could stop him from just quitting.
"What's so small-minded about munny? A man's gotta eat, too, ya know." Jecht said. He then thought more about it and came to a decision. He smiled at Cyclops as he backed away, not because he was afraid of him, but because he never talked to anyone without looking them in the eye. Jecht wasn't a coward, after all. "As for the offer, think I'll pass on it for now. Last group of people I worked for threw me under a bus hard. I'll think about it, though" Sure, he didn't say no, but he didn't say yes, either. Jecht was impulsive, not dumb.
However, as he backed away, a corridor of darkness opened up behind Jecht. Xigbar would find that Jecht didn't summon it, for as soon as he turned to see what that sound was, Jecht had lost his footing and, after a moment of trying to valiantly regain his balance, he dropped into the Corridor of Darkness as if he was falling. The gateway closed behind him and the Nobody was left to his devices.

Jecht has left the thread!
OOC Note:
Yeah, I know, lame, but it was the only way I could think of to get Jecht out of there without explicitly saying whether or not he accepted Xigbar's offer, since I wanted to intentionally leave that vague.

Xigbar sighed, shrugging. "Do what you gotta do, guy. Just know that, in order to get munny, you have to actually work for it. But hey, the offer's open. I'm sure we'll see each other real soon."
The Freeshooter was surprised to see a Corridor of Darkness suddenly appear behind Jecht. It was clear he didn't summon it himself, due to the man's reaction to it, but it was obviously not an accident that the portal appeared at that time. He watched Jecht stumble, and decided against helping. Surely, there was something else at work, and Xigbar had no need for intruding. However, as the swordsman fell, Xigbar did yell out, "See you later. And hey, be careful not to die to soon, alright?"
The Nobody turned away from the mess, and put his hand on his chin. He can be an ally, or a pawn, at the least. Gotta be sure to try and lead him to the right way. You always need an ace in the hole, right? He thought to himself, and a smile spread across his lips. Darkness then began forming in front of him, creating a Corridor. Xigbar then walked through the portal, and unlike Jecht, he was sure what he was doing, and whether that was good or bad for the swordsman or anyone else will have to remain to be seen.
The corridor closed behind the Freeshooter, letting Twilight Town return to it's normal state, if only for now.
