[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,480px,true][atrb=cellpadding,3px,true][atrb=cellspacing,3px,true][bg=939d8f] WHERE DID YOU GO? I HAD TO STAY. now I'm reaching for you. So now the final battle was taking place elsewhere, where was the boy keyblader that had saved the worlds twice from falling into darkness, when the worlds were calling for him in their most dire hour? Sora was risking his life to keep that very darkness at bay. There was a shiver of silver as the Kingdom Key struck through across the hand of the gargantuan Darkside Heartless he was locked in combat with, as it slammed into the ground and reached into the dark void that grew around it. Small Shadow Heartless grew out of the void, but Sora ignored them. He took the opportunity to run up the arm of the enormous Heartless once more, to get a shot at the more vulnerable target that was it's tendril-masked head. As slow moving as the Heartless was, he only got a few hits of the keyblade in before the Darkside violently shook him off his shoulders, sending him earthwards. Sora took the opportunity to use Superglide to slow his fall, soaring some distance quickly away from the Heartless before banking around to face it. The Pureblood had already shifted into it's next attack to take advantage of Sora's back turned to him in the air, puffing out it's chest and shooting forth four homing orbs of darkness down upon him. Sora dropped as he saw the Heartless in his sights again, putting up his keyblade to deflect the orbs with Guard. He was a little late in his exhaustion from the battle and took the hits of two of them directly into his chest, but managed to block the other two and a scratching assault from a jumping Shadow. Instead of using Counterguard, he ignored the lesser Heartless once more and initiated Trinity Break when he felt his magic power return to him. His personal ultimate attack without the aid of his pals Donald and Goofy to use Trinity Limit, he surged forward with his blade in mid-air and slashed the trailing hand of the Darkside Heartless multiple times, before teleporting once in a burst of speed and appearing behind the readily-made available head to deal a critical finishing move. The Darkside slowly started to tilt over and dissipate, the Shadow Heartless with him also disappearing back into the smoldering darkness covering the floor of the entrance along with their master. Sora let out a exasperated exhale, and noticed a pointed jutting rock his height was nearby, pointing out of the dark waters lapping eerily in this lavender-colored void with little lighting. He staggered over tiredly to it and put a hand out against it's smooth surface for support as he leant against it, his other arm cradling his burning lungs. Now that he was no longer moving to save his life, it was now evident his body and clothing were riddled slightly with battle-damage and wounds. He gasped slightly as he caught his breath, dimly lit blue eyes glancing up to observe the fate that awaited him. The darkside he had defeated... had been his twentith. And before him, filling the horizon with shades of black and purple as far as the eye could see to the back, was a oncoming horde of thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of powerful Heartless. This had been the oncoming horde of Heartless the Horsemen must have sent forth from the final battle up ahead... which meant the Door to Darkness that protected Kingdom Hearts in the Realm of Darkness was no longer sealed as he had done all those many years ago. Which meant these Heartless were the powerful Heartless that were coming out of that door into the Realm of Light, spilling out into the worlds like crude oil into an ocean. If he did not stop them, the seemingly endless wave of Heartless would escape from him and threaten to plunge the other worlds into the deepest black. "They're not... stopping." he wheezed quietly to himself in realization, but pushed himself off the rock and grasped the keyblade in his two hands to meet the overwhelming odds of the next wave of three Dark Follower emerging from their deep purple pools of darkness. Out there, his friends were all counting on him, and he envisioned his island's tranquility in the back of his mind. If he did not stop them here, then who else would stop them from obliterating the peace they all fought for? Even if Sora were to perish and lose his heart to this endless sea of powerful Heartless... then so be it. With the connection of those important to him in his heart, he was never alone. --- Enemies: x3 Dark FollowerBattle theme: Destiny's Force (BBS version) TAG name, WORDS 000, SONG Hymn for the Missing, by Red. Yuna had been looking for him; the keyblade hero shouldering so much responsibility. She’d hesitated at first, knowing that Sora was not of her world and that others may argue that Spira ought to be her primary concern. But when Leon told her of the young keyblader’s hardships, what he endured, all he strove for... her heart went out to him. She’d caught wind that he’d disappeared and his friends knew not where he was. No one deserved to face what he did alone. So she decided. Yuna recalled her own journey as a summoner, the decisions she’d had to make, the battles she fought, but she did not fight them alone.
I trust my guardians with my life, but they are also my friends.
Sora needed allies, he needed his friends, but more than that, he needed his friend’s belief, to instil that belief within himself and strengthen his resolve. It was never easy, the burden was never lightened, but... the journey became more hopeful, with those dear to you, together beside you.
When the keybearer pulled himself up, as he had countless times before, a small shadow loomed over him and the beating of small wings sounded from above.
“You shoulder great responsibilities,” a quiet voice said.
A tiny person lowered herself down from above, hovering at eye-level before the hero. The fairy’s fingers were laced together in front of her, the trace of a sad smile lingering upon her lips, however her eyes held the keybearer’s surely.
“But,” and her smile strengthened, “you don’t have to shoulder them alone.”
She detached her hands from one another to reveal a white light emanating from one of them; a spell. One she’d been casting for some time between her closed palms. She waved her hand over Sora. Sparks of white streamed out, spiralling to form a ball around him. They shot off almost like fireworks, then engulfed him briefly in soft chiming sounds, as though the sparks were multiple little bells bathed in white light. A Curaga spell. When the brightness subsided, Sora would remain in its centre, rejuvenated.
With a small grin and no other word, Yuna drifted backwards, retrieved a pinkish orb from her pouch and held it above her head with both hands. It burst into light, spreading out into a patterned spell circle spinning around her waist. A second wave of light followed, encapsulating her in a blinding, solid ball. Through the fading light, the figure of a young woman spinning a pistol between her fingers was just about visible. The fairy had transformed to full-human height. She stepped forward and lowered her head just slightly to gaze at the teen she held so much respect for.
It was... strange, to see someone so young holding such a huge burden. Her expression flickered. She felt... sad, but it was mixed with the limitless admiration she held for his resolve. She knew now more than ever what strove her guardians, no, her friends, to help her throughout her journey. Their support was something precious, and if he would let her, she would like to offer the same support to Sora. There was so much she would like to say to him, but aware the Heartless were drawing near, she could only speak with a gentle urgency:
“Sora, remember, nothing you do here will be in vain. Our efforts will help those fighting elsewhere.”
With that, she swivelled, brandishing her pistol and closed one eye, aiming carefully at the head of the first hulking Dark Follower making its way towards them. She shot several times, watching the creature slow down, its head lolling back with each hit. However, the other two giant Heartless overtook Yuna’s target, drawing closer to herself and Sora as the bullets zeroed in solely on their predecessor.
Yuna moved her other gun towards the second Heartless, using Trigger Happy to shoot both targets with a rapid round of fire. Her eyes were only able to focus on one mark accurately though. Whilst she was able to hit the first continuously in the head, her aim wavered on the other, the bullets instead piercing its neck and chest area. Consequently, this did much less damage and the Dark Follower stalled less than the other. Yuna had to fight to keep her eyes from straying towards the third Heartless however, which was beginning to fill the majority of her vision, looming uncomfortably close. When the third Dark Follower blocked her view, rendering her unable to shoot, she stopped to frown up at the huge mass of muscle before her. From a distance she’d seen that they were generally slow, so she readied herself and waited patiently for it to make its move.
It did, fisting a clawed hand to punch down on her. Tightening her mouth, Yuna crouched immediately, crossing her guns over each other with a clang to block the attack. There was a thud as the Heartless made contact and Yuna used all her arm strength to keep her pistols locked together. She tried to push against the hand, but the Heartless won out with sheer force, causing her to skid back beside Sora, though unharmed. She took up an offensive position, lifting her gun towards the Dark Follower. Without turning her gaze away from the enemy, she spoke to the keybearer:
“We stand a better chance together. Don’t worry, I’m by your side.” Then softly, but distinctly she added, “we all are.”

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,480px,true][atrb=cellpadding,3px,true][atrb=cellspacing,3px,true][bg=939d8f] will you wait, will you wait will I see you again? He looked out beyond at the bobbling dark-colored heads of the slowly approaching horde of Heartless, wondering if they would ever end, or if he could last to defeat them all. Even though the connections in his heart meant he was never alone... it would be nice to have his friends there to talk to, side-by-side with him. And then when he felt like giving in, a soft voice came from above. An... angel? For half a second, Sora wanted to believe it was... her. His most important person, meeting him at the crossroads like she had promised him. But as a diminutive yet familiar dainty frame floated down before him, he wasn't any less disappointed. More surprised really that she was here, but not surprised she was without her two friends as she was without his two best pals. As her gentle voice spoke, what she said resonated with him, and his ocean blue eyes were suddenly moistened more than they once were. Holding back tears at the thought of that he did have a large burden to deal with, as well as her sad smile and her kindness not to let him be physically alone, a small smile of his own grew from the corners of his lips. Even though her soft voice had already soothed him, a wash of bright curative energy washed over him to restore the excessive damage done to his lithe teenage frame. No Curaga could instantly restore the stamina he had lost in his breath though, and once he had filled up his lungs with more oxygen he nodded slowly in recognition of her charity. "I remember you... I never got your name, but... thank you." he sniffled rather graciously. Blinking, he had to look up slightly as the orb she exposed changed her into a taller, much more muscular human woman. It had been a long time since anyone had shown him selfless generosity she had gifted upon him, and he turned with her as the advancing Heartless drew ever dangerously closer to their position. "Right. Let's send these Heartless back to where they came from... for everyone." he agreed to her words of urgency, grasping his Kingdom Key in his hands and crouching down into a battle position once more. Although he was ready once again for battle, he couldn't help but watch in silent awe as she began to open fire on the giant Heartless that had been unleashed from the Door to Darkness. With such grace, she didn't even flinch or hesitate as she instantly switched targets on the other two and blasted rapidly with her pistols. She really is an angel. He had to hitch his breath himself however as he watched the first Dark Follower make an attempt to slam her with it's massive fist. "Look out!" he called out in warning, almost having moved to block with his keyblade if she hadn't already with her two handguns. "Alright, that does it! I'll draw their attention, you fire on them!" he suggested openly, darting forward and bringing his keyblade to bear. Since the first Dark Follower Yuna had done a lot of damage already on and had his arm down to attack Yuna, he quickly zipped up the arm of the colossus and started using Dodge Slash wildly into the Pureblood's head. The action quickly stunned the Heartless, but the other two were now reacting from not being attacked. One brought it's fist up and then slammed it into the shallow water at their feet to make a shockwave, his arm buried into the ground up to the shoulder as small purple Shadow Heartless began to pour out. The other Dark Follower puffed out it's chest and made shots of dark energy orbs, shooting towards Yuna. Without another word, Sora leapt from the first stunned Dark Follower and attempted to deflect the orbs back with his keyblade, only to miss one and get struck with the first three. Severely hit to protect the gunner and not letting her benevolent Curaga go to waste, he negated the damage by activating the dormant power within his magical clothing. Light shattered off his form like broken glass, flexing his arms on either side of him as a surge of energy changed the color of his clothing. Yuna would not feel any change to her own power, but because of her presence of friendship a new power was born. Falling back towards the ground and making a small splash in the darkened tide, Sora landed and twirled his keyblade as he rose to his feet. His clothes were now blue in color scheme, and a different pattern adorned along the hems of his clothing. Similar to the change of form Yuna had made from fairy to human, Sora was now in Wisdom Form thanks not only to her powerful magic, but also because of her companionship and admiration she shared with the keybarer. Surging forward, Sora seemed to slide along the slickened floor as if it had hardened and solidified into ice. Once he had finished twirling his keyblade rapidly, he pointed it forward and shot magic bullets from the tip through the air using Wisdom Shot. It struck the hands of the Heartless that had shot orbs into him, and effortlessly he slid up the arm of the Dark Follower that had submerged it's limb after disposing of a few of the Shadow Heartless. "C'mon, you Heartless punk! Let me give you a welcome to the Realm of Light!" he taunted, shooting his magic bullets point-blank into the dark titan's head. The Dark Follower quickly righted itself, making Sora lose his slippery footing on him and causing him to tumble backwards to eventually and climsily flip backwards right in front of Yuna to guard her. They had caused some damage, but these were boss Heartless, and it could take a few more before they even took one down. Sora could only hope it was before the rest of the Heartless behind them began to show up. He righted himself to his feet, pointing his keyblade in their direction and looking for another opportunity to either attack or defend. "I'm with you at your side, too. Our hearts... they're connected." he replied in thoughtful consideration to Yuna's last comment she had made earlier, dispensing the same thing he had told his friends all those years ago. They were fighting for a reason, and not together just to prove the strength of their co-operation. No, there was more on the line here than that in this moment of desperation. There's worlds worth saving, even if one has to sacrifice themselves.(OOC: Don't forget Yunie, your Trigger Happy's on cooldown too! And normally you wouldn't control someone else's Heartless, but I'll allow you to do so. ^^ --- Dodge Slash - Sora moves forward while wildly waving his keyblade around, damaging all foes in range while dodging rapidly from left-to-right to dodge attacks. Wisdom Form: The most magical of his drive forms, and one of the few drive forms where Sora wields only one keyblade, but he wields it to shoot magic projectiles and cast magic spells, and cannot use any physical attacks. He can also magically slide across the ground on his shoes, as if he were on roller blades or ice-skates, and can magically flip as he shoots and strafes his opponents. He needs one party magical/projectile-styled party member's power to change into this drive form. His clothes change the color blue to reflect this when he changes into this drive form. "Sora!"
A figure began running through the swarms of minor Heartless, a metal clanging noise made as a weapon the figure carried pushed the Heartless away. His attention seemed more to be focused on the two humans valiantly fighting against the Heartless rather then the monsters themselves. Usually the focus of any normal adventurer when faced with Heartless would be to focus on his enemies. However, this character was far from normal, to say the least.
"I'm here Sora!" The figure called out again, his voice surely familiar to Sora. The figure did an ungraceful jump, landing face first next to the keyblade wielder. He quickly righted himself though, propping himself back up on his weapon, a shield emblazoned with the logo of King of Disney Castle. As he stood, his details became more noticeable; his wide eyes that were covered his his orange hat that had fallen over his face, his long, thin ears, his black fur and peach colored snout with two front teeth sticking out at the end, all the details of the Captain of the Royal Knights, Goofy.
He looked around as he propped himself up. "Uh, ah-hyuk... where'd you go?" He murmured to himself. He then fixed his hat back on his head, allowing him to see his old friend, and as he did, a big smile spread across his face. Knowing there were enemies about, however, he took another cursory glance across the battlefield. They were surrounded by three giant Dark Followers, each one looking like they weren't interested in backing down. It didn't particularly matter to him though. He knew Sora could take 'em down, and he was there to make sure his buddy didn't have to much problems with these Heartless.
"Sora! I've been looking all over for you!" Goofy spoke, readying his shield in front of him in a defensive position as he stared at the Dark Follower Sora had been in combat with. "Ah-hyuk! Sorry for not being here sooner!" He then stopped when he noticed somebody at the the corner of his eye. He looked behind himself and noticed Yuna in full. "Oh! You aren't alone after all! Gawrsh, you look familiar. Have we met?" He asked the summoner, unaware she was the treasure hunter they had met all that time ago at Hollow Bastion. It didn't matter what she said though; he already decided that she was a good person, as anyone who helped his bud was a-ok with Goofy.
Goofy at that point then remembered that they were surrounded by gargantuan Heartless, and realized he should talk and fight. "Gee. How did you get yourself here Sora?" He asked goodnaturedly, his comments coming out like rapid fire. Goofy ran up to the Dark Follower, bobbing and weaving around, attempting to make himself a harder target for the behemoth. He readied his weapon, and jumped back from the monster. He then threw his shield at the Heartless's face, hoping to add on to the damage that the other two had already done.
Normally, Goofy was the last person to enjoy fighting, despite his role as a knight, and that was still the case here. However, a smile was still on his face. He was fighting alongside his friend again. Now, he could make up for losing the castle to the darkness, at least in his own small way. "Are you ready, you two?" He asked confidently as he landed back on the ground next to Sora. He was here to stay this time, and help his friend and this stranger. Nothing was going to stop him.

“Alright,” Yuna’s head bobbed once, “I’ll cover you!” Seeing that Sora had already stunned the nearest Heartless into temporary submission, she shifted her attention to the ones now ready to attack from a further range. She felt the vibrations underground from the Dark Follower who had just dunked its fist under water and sensing something else was in store, she started off in a run towards the creature and somersaulted forwards, the lightning bolts barely skimming the soles of her boots as she lifted off. At her peak in the air, her body began to unfold and she outstretched her arms, shooting at the Dark Follower’s lowered head, getting closer and closer in proximity, until she landed on its shoulder. By this time the shockwaves were fading. Not wanting to give the new Shadow minions an opportunity to strike at her, she propelled herself off again in a backwards somersault, breathing hard as she landed heavily on her feet.
Tired from the sudden burst of aerobics, it took some effort to regain her composure. She had hardly straightened herself up again when she saw the burst homing in on her from the other Dark Follower. Her eyes grew wide. With no time to successfully block, Yuna bowed her head quickly and raised her arms to cover as much as she could. However, when no pain hit her, her eyes twitched and she raised her head again. She gasped to see that Sora had taken the brunt of the damage.
No!
She made to dart forward to check his condition, but held back when the keybearer’s outfit began to glow. At first, she thought that he must be casting some kind of magic-protective spell, like Shell, but the light did not spread to his bare limbs so it must have been something to do with the clothing. A... sphere change? Or something similar at least. She had to raise her hand to shield her eyes from the brightness surrounding Sora, but the anxiousness fluttered out of her upon realizing the Heartless had not hurt him, leaving her heart at ease. She could not prevent a smile from slipping onto her face, watching him briefly zoom and glide across the water as easily as she might in her fairy form. Amazing. And she had to admit the outfit colour matched him well, too. A deep blue, colour of the sea and sky, symbols of endless aspirations and limitless possibility.
Watching Sora zip up the arm of the Dark Follower she’d previously jumped upon, Yuna’s eyes drew away to the Heartless that had shot orbs at him earlier. It was stationary for the moment, so she switched aim and picked off some of the remaining Shadow Heartless scattered about Sora’s feet to prevent them from jumping at him. When the Dark Follower before them heaved its self up to its full height again, Yuna stepped back, her guns moving with its arms, ready to cause damage if either of the hulking limbs tried to make a swipe at the keybearer. When Sora back-flipped in front of her once more defensively, she stilled. Being a head taller than the young hero allowed her to keep watch from over his shoulders, holding her pistols at an angle so she could act as an invisible shield so to speak, shooting easily at any distant enemies closing in on her chosen ally.
”Our hearts... they’re connected.”
She’d never thought of it that way before, but... he was right. They were connected. And it made sense... why people chose to help each other, even when they were originally from worlds completely apart. No matter how different people were, at their core, they could relate, because everyone had their vulnerabilities, everyone needed help sometimes, and everyone needed to connect with someone, at some point in their lives.
Speaking of connections...
Yuna released a joyous laugh, one that filled her with much relief at the sight of Sora’s bright, cucumber-green-dressed friend making his way through the dark swarms. She suddenly felt a very familiar, bittersweet mixture of comfort and sorrow; the essence of her past journey, with the loved ones that had cheered her, like this, and the amount they had suffered together. A warm smile reached her face to greet Goofy when he neared them, and a lump formed in her throat seeing his exchange with Sora. Inside, she prayed, No losses today. Please. Then she closed her eyes momentarily. No. There won’t be. I’ll make sure of it.
“I’m Yuna.” Her expression seemed to glow. It wasn’t difficult in the presence of someone so merry. “It’s nice to meet you.”
When Goofy remerged again into the fray, Yuna stepped up besides Sora and gave him one significant nod, her eyes smiling along with her, as if to reassure what she’d said to him earlier was true. You can do this. We’re here for you. Then she, too, began to open fire at the head of the Dark Follower Goofy was fighting. If they all directed their efforts together, surely, no matter how strong the enemy, they would be able to lessen the throng. There was a renewed prominent energy in her voice as she answered Goofy;
“Yessir! Let’s give it all we’ve got!”

Jecht had been deposited a ways from where the fight was. As he looked around, he could practically smell the darkness around him. It was unpleasant and, even worse, the stench was bringing back bad memories. It reminded him too much of Sin. Of being Sin. He realized what he was thinking and shook his head of the past. What's done was done. His son, his friend, Braska's kid and their friends beat him and beat Yu Yevon. In the end, he was allowed to rest in peace. Not that he did, but it was the thought that counted.
He turned towards the sounds of fighting and saw a group fighting those black Fiends he'd seen around Twilight Town. He spotted a kid wielding a weird-looking sword. The kid reminded him of his son, to which Jecht couldn't help but smirk a bit. Wonder if he's as big of a crybaby. Jecht thought. He then spotted a... hornless Ronso carrying a shield? Nah, it couldn't be. This guy was nowhere near as tall or built as a Ronso. He seemed to be holding his own, though, so that counted for something. The third person he saw...
Braska's kid?! he thought. It was definitely her, as least, how he'd known her during that Dissidia world. And she was definitely the summoner that Sent him when they beat him in Spira. But here she was, in quite the pickle, along with those other two. And there was only one Great Jecht that could bail them out of it.
Besides, Braska would have a fit if he knew his old Guardian didn't protect his kid.
Jecht rushed to the battle, roaring at the top of his voice to distract the black Fiends. His spikes started appearing as he continued running, heedless of the numbers. When he got to the group, he rushed through, rather than at, the group of Fiends, kicking, punching and slicing at any of them that dared be in his way. He then looked at Yuna and thumbed his nose at her, the same way Tidus did all the time.
"Just like your old man!" he exclaimed, "We always had to bail HIM outta trouble, too!" Jecht then continued his rampage through the Fiends. Then, he backed up a bit and charged energy into his fist, readying Triumphant Grasp.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,480px,true][atrb=cellpadding,3px,true][atrb=cellspacing,3px,true][bg=939d8f] Tried to walk together, but the night was growing dark I thought you were beside me, but I reached and you were gone Nodding seriously to the treasure fanatic, Sora pointed his keyblade like a wand at the oncoming wave of Heartless. This situation looked grim, as more Heartless behind them were closing in close proximity and threatening to overwhelm their position. And then... came a voice Sora would have rejoiced by giving him a hug if not that they were already in battle.
"Goofy!" he cheered on as he watch his shield fly in to strike the Heartless Yuna had been shooting at, and fell in side-by-side with one of his well-known best friends. Feeling his light-hearted and confident demeanor present, he could feel more of his confidence rising along with Yuna's arrival that he was no longer physically alone fighting these Heartless.
Yuna shot off a rapid-fire technique at the Dark Follower again, and that was all that was needed as one Dark Follower froze then sank to it's knees as darkness started to peel off it's form, sinking into the darkness as it was defeated. The Dark Follower that had been shooting orbs from it's chest stopped firing, rising up a fist to slam down into Goofy with speed faster than normally anticipated. As if in the nick of time to save the day, yet another newcomer entered the fray and slashed his sword, fists and feet at the Heartless to cause it to flinch and prevent the fist from connecting. Sora hadn't even had time yet to answer Goofy as the new entrant made himself known that he knew Yuna's father somehow, but he did learn from Goofy's inquisition towards the young woman that helped him what her true name was.
"Yuna..." he paused, looking towards her and smiling, eternally grateful that she had been so selfless to wander out into the darkness and save him in one of his most darkest hours. But she had not been alone, and he included the others in realization. "Goofy... and you." he nodded respectfully, looking at the burly man with the giant sword. "Thank you, all of you. I came here in my ship because I heard from Sephiroth that there was a final battle... he wouldn't tell me where. I had to guess that my friends were battling those human Heartless somewhere, and I came here to find them. I found this endless wave of Heartless instead. They must have opened the door we sealed to keep out the darkness and the Heartless beyond." he started saying gratiously, ending up with answering Goofy's question.
Beyond the two boss Heartless they were fighting, something caught Sora's eye and made them widen in surprise. A gleeful surprise as well, because one by one the many thousands of Heartless advancing on their position began to disappear one by one. And not in the typical vanishing into their own Corridors of Darkness to escape to other worlds, but like the first Dark Follower these Pureblood Heartless began to burst apart and melt into fading darkness. They were being vanquished, he wasn't sure how but something was happening! "Guys, look! The Heartless are disappearing!" Above them, the heart-shaped moon in the sky signifying Kingdom Hearts grew smaller as it descended into the darkened night sky, and Sora laughed in relief. "Wherever the final battle was, they somehow stopped the many Heartless coming through the door! They did it!" he cheered again, pumping his fist into the air.
However, not all the Heartless had been vaporized, and it was not time to celebrate just yet.
While he had been busy talking and preparing for what was coming next after the majority of the Heartless horde had dispersed, the Dark Follower that had slammed it's fist into the ground had all if it's Shadows destroyed from Jecht's rampage, and pulled it's darkened fist out of the watery earth below. With it, came a massive dark orb it clutched in it's hands, which began changing up with a loud thrumming noise. Bringing Sora to his senses, he zipped forward to engage the Heartless, using his empowered Wisdom Form to fire off his spells faster than usual, first using Wisdom Shot again and then Blizzaga at the Darkside's face. The spell struck, but the Pureblood began raining down explosive orbs of darkness all over the battlefield, and although Sora zipped through the dark rain he was struck with a stray orb and sent flying painfully across the battlefield while being hit with more huge droplets from the heavens.
"Aaaaaahhhhh!!!"

"Yuna? Yuna, Yuna..." Goofy mumbled trying to remember why that name and this person sounded so familiar to him. As one would expect, this is usually a bad idea in the field of battle, as while Goofy racked his brain trying to remember, a giant Heartless was about to smash the knight. However, a timely intervention by a strange, grizzled man saved Goofy with his random slashes. It was only after the fact that Goofy realized this, and with gratitude looked at the man.
"Gawrsh. Thanks a bunch buddy!" Goofy said to the swordsman, waving at him, and decided to fore go for the moment asking him his name, as that didn't seem to cause good things to occur for the knight. He then turned towards Sora, and attempted to learn what had happened while he was absent. He was a little confused, hearing about a final battle and all the like. Admittedly, he hadn't completely understood what his friend had spoken, but he heard human Heartless, and he didn't need to be told that was bad, bad news. At least people were out trying to stop them, and if they were friends of Sora, perhaps they could do it on their own.
And to Goofy, that thought seemed more accurate when he saw the Hearltess start to vanish. "Ah-hyuk! I knew they would do it!" The dog said confidently, despite the fact that he had only learned of this final battle at this moment, and honestly wasn't sure until Sora basically told him they did. But, hey, they were gone, so that's all that mattered, right? However, while the battle was over, these Heartless, now down to two, were still here, and still giant. Their own battle was far from over, but at least he was with confident fighters.
He saw the dark energy raining down from above, and raised his shield over him like somebody raising a newspaper over their head in a storm. He began awkwardly stepping around, blocking the darkness yet still staggering thanks to the force of the rain. He was able to make it through relatively unscathed, with the exception of the bruises that were sure to appear on his head from the shield slamming into his head after every drop of the dark energy.
"Uh... maybe next time I should ask for a helmet..." Goofy muttered to himself in a dazed state as he looked around the field of battle, targeting the Dark Follower that had sent out the rain. He was about to strike again when he saw the Keyblade wielder slide across the battlefield, hit by a a single orb of energy. "Sora!" Goofy yelled in surprise, and quickly ran across the field of battle towards his ally. The knight proceeded to stand in front of his friend defensively, holding his shield out against any of the orbs to give Sora a chance to recuperate. He was willing to take a few hits for Sora. He just hoped the others would be able to damage the Heartless while he took care of his friend.
We've been separated before, but I'm not gonna let it happen this time! Goofy thought, standing at the ready for his friend, and ready to do it for the others as well.

Yuna had to wonder if she’d simply been staring into the darkened faces of the Heartless for too long. Yet another bright figure was blazing its way under the giant Heartless’ burly torsos. She strained to look at the figure jetting through the spindly legs, but was forced to redirect her attention to the enemy closing in. Little did she know that the one approaching was a figure she would recognize only too well, along with a face that had been engraved in her memories.
“Look out!” She scrambled with her pistol to aim for the closest Dark Follower’s hand, hoping to bite it back with her bullets so that it didn’t do Goofy any serious hurt from above, but the swirl of a flame-coloured waist cape dashed into view from underfoot, saving Sora’s friend. And who was this new saviour, but her father’s former guardian? ”Sir Jecht!” Yuna gasped, and if her guns weren’t in her hands, her hands would have certainly flown to her mouth. What are you doing here? her mind echoed, but did not form into words, because this was not the time to ask such questions. Her gaze returned to the enemy on hand.
She supposed she shouldn’t have expected any less. Sir Jecht was a free spirit, one that roamed where he pleased. Even the eternal peace granted by the Farplane had been unable to hold him. She shook off her surprised expression, watching her father’s guardian rush through the Heartless. It was evident where Tidus got his boundless energy from. A faint twinge inside and her eyes flickered to a softer shade. Funny, how alike they were and didn’t even realize it. She blinked, however, when the ragged-haired man instead used her as a comparison.
My father? That brought a glow to her cheeks. So, she was like her father after all. And he had jumped head first into trouble just as she did. I suppose... we’re both like our fathers in ways we don’t see. Sir Auron had called her difficult to guard. A few years ago she would have apologized with a bashful laugh for being such a nuisance, but now, she wanted to prove that she was a new brand of summoner; one that did not hang back and let others jump in the line of fire for them. She would fight alongside those that protected her. She brightened, shooting again at the head of the Heartless previously hovering over Goofy.
“Well, Sir Jecht, we can’t let our guardians have all the fun.”
However, behind the carefree front, she could not help but think; what an honour, to be fighting by the side of her father’s other guardian. She smiled towards Sora once more at his thanks and shook her head at the boy, aware from Leon’s story-telling that he would do the same for anyone else in a heartbeat. “It was nothing.”
She remained silent at the keybearer’s explanation of how things had come to be. Sephiroth... she knew that name, but where from..? No face connected to the memory, a certain blankness and the sound of it being uttered in a shivered voice. It niggled at the back of her mind. Still, there was no time to dwell on this when Sora continued to explain about the battle against a human Heartless, and how he had heard of the Door to Darkness being opened- though that wasn’t what worried her. What lingered in her thoughts was the notion that someone knew where to find this door and would be able to reopen it- again, multiple times if they weren’t found out. That didn’t sound too promising.
Then... slowly, one by one, the Heartless began to disperse. The Shadows burst in little explosions, raining down into inky puddles before they evaporated completely. Yuna looked out into the distance, amazed, for even the much larger Heartless were rupturing like liquid black fireworks to return to the Farplane... or wherever it was that darkness went to.
“Sora, that’s great!” So it seemed that elsewhere too, warriors had banded together to vanquish the thing that threatened their home. Then she saw the stubborn enemy that refused to leave. “Alright-” a swift nod of the head “-let’s finish these off so we can get you back to your friends.”
She began to shoot at its hands from her current position, preventing one of them from making any grabs at Sora who was rapidly closing in. However, she was forced into movement by the pulsing spheres the creature had sent down from the sky, light enough on her feet to avoid most with quick dodges left and right. She weaved her way closer to the enemy, noting that Goofy had come up with a good system to avoid the darkfall by raising his shield overhead. Whilst Sora, Sir Jecht and herself were fairly speedy, a protective spell might be useful. Her head snapped towards Sora at his outcry, her hand lifting to cast Protect in his direction, but Goofy was already rushing to his side. Her hand stilled, only moving again to seek some place to cast the spell over herself and Sir Jecht. However, they were all too far apart for the magic to encompass them all. Too busy thinking caused Yuna a misstep, and she drew in a sharp breath, jerking away from an energy ball that just about caught her arm. There had to be an easier way.
With little time to slip Sora a potion thanks to the continuous downpour of attacks, they had to find a way to get the Heartless to stop to give them a breather. Then Yuna noticed that no spheres fell onto the Heartless itself.
“Sir Jecht! Get beneath it!”
She made her way underneath the Heartless, using the beast itself as shelter. Grabbing its arm, she rocked herself back and forth few times like a pendulum, until she was able to muster enough force to swing herself over the mass of muscle. She clung there for a few moments, taking the time to balance herself into a crouching position with great difficulty. Then she ran along the creature’s arm, shooting every bullet right into the sea of snakes that were its head.
Hang in there, Sora.

Jecht unleashed Triumphant Grasp on the hapless Shadows, catching one and propelling it into the horizon with an explosion while bowling through the others. As he looked around at all the other Heartless, he cracked his knuckles and smirked as he looked over his shoulder at Yuna. "Braska said the same thing," he said, "That always annoyed Auron to no end." He then heard the kid refer to him and he turned to him.
The kid really did remind him of Tidus in a lot of ways. However, this kid seemed stronger, more mentally resilient. His son always had that wide-eyed idealism about him that Jecht never did understand. However, as Jecht inspected the kid... he was concerned. He didn't show the concern on his face, but as he looked into the kid's eyes, they were the eyes of a war veteran. The eyes of someone who saw too much and wanted it to end, but knew he had to keep fighting for the greater good. The eyes of an adult exhausted with the world. It bothered Jecht that these eyes were on a kid that looked like he just reached adulthood.
Auron had that same look the last time Jecht saw him, now that the ex-guardian was thinking about it.
"Yeah, don't mention it, Spiky. Just tell your... err... Ronso, I guess, friend to be more careful," Jecht said, rubbing his shoulder. He then saw the Heartless disappearing when the kid pointed it out and was just confused. "Who did it? What's going on that you all aren't telling me?" He wasn't going to get any answers any time soon, as the Dark Follower began its attack. The orbs of darkness rained down on the group and Jecht smiled as he charged at the Follower, barely hearing Yuna's advice about getting under the Follower. Jecht, instead, climbed the giant Heartless by jumping onto whatever joints he could reach and then, when he got to the Heartless's torso, he got a decent foothold and pushed off. He then threw his sword up into the air. He'd need both hands free for this.
"ULTIMATE JECHT SHOT!" Jecht yelled, as he caught the meteor he summoned and spiraled up into the air before throwing it right at the Heartless's face. He then saw Yuna shooting at it. "Heads up, Yuna!" he yelled.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,480px,true][atrb=cellpadding,3px,true][atrb=cellspacing,3px,true][bg=939d8f] I sometimes hear you calling from some far and distant shore; I hear you crying softly for the way it was before Sora rolled through the violet purple shallow water as he hit the ground, but orbs stopped striking him when he realized he was being shielded. Azure eyes looking up, he was glad to see Goofy's impenertrable shield was acting as a umbrella to protect them from the deadly rain of darkness. Smiling up gratefully at the help of his friend, he picked himself up. "Thanks, Goofy!" Once back on his feet, he looked over at the other two humans that may not have been so lucky to have their own shelter. Yuna had bounded up the arm of one of the Dark Followers, and directed at the name of the muscular man that had joined them. Jecht. The name didn't ring a bell to him, but after her humorous remark at the man and their own individual modest 'you're welcome' to him, the name Jecht spoke of did. He didn't have time to say anything in reply to Jecht over the sound of the dark rain as they were pinned down in their position, and Yuna had directed them to get underneath the Dark Follower as she shot at it's head. Sora observed for a moment as Jecht didn't quite follow the advice and instead climbed up the other side of the Heartless himself, unleashing a massive boulder from out of nowhere into the Pureblood Heartless. Cracking under the pressure, the Heartless that had swiped at Goofy kneeled over in defeat as it dissolved into the darkness underfoot.
Well, if Jecht wouldn't take their advice, then maybe they would.
Smiling in appreciation at the both of them as one Dark Follower remained that was still pouring Dark Rain down upon them, Sora took Goofy by the arm. "I got you Goofy, you just shield us until we get close enough!" he raised his voice other the loud blasts of magic. He started gliding forward using Wisdom Form's passive ability Mobile Action, gliding along the surface of the water as if it were ice and he were wearing ice skates. He pulled Goofy along behind him so he could either run or even water-ski as he was tugged along, but Sora also trusted him to get on his shoulders or cling on behind him to get his shield in front of them. Once they had gotten close enough to the Dark Follower's legs, he let go of Goofy as the large Heartless swated down towards them with it's hands.
"Watch out!" he yelled, as he was swatted powerfully up into the air by the large fist, but quickly counter-attacked with a ability he could use in Wisdom Form called Retaliating Slash. In his normal clothes this would create a counter-slash, but in Wisdom Form it allowed Sora to sweep his Kingdom Key forward and scatter projectile shots from the tip down upon the giant Heartless. Next he spun around in the air as he yelled "Thunder!", calling down several powerful bolts of lightning from above as he conjured Thundaga. "Hey! You know Auron!? And I'll fill you in later!" he immediately called afterward in Jecht's direction now he had the short pause to in battle, flipping and landing next to Goofy at the Dark Follower's feet. The Dark Follower followed up it's fist attack with leaning back and shooting Dark Missiles once more, giant black orbs from the heart cavity in his chest launching out to home in on Yuna and Jecht. Looking up at the monstrous Heartless before them as the orbs sailed overhead, 'Spiky' turned and added "Incoming!" Hoping that Yuna and Jecht would get out of the way of harm in time, Sora turned to Goofy as suddenly his Wisdom Form ran out and he was returned to normal clothing.
"Goofy! Let's combine our power, okay?" he quickly requested to his fellow comrade, indicating that his amigo had his consent to use one of his Whirli-Goof or Knocksmash Limits. "Not sure what a Ron-so is, but let's show 'em what you can do!" A grin spread on his face as he winked and then nodded to the Captain of the Knights of Disney Castle. Whatever Goofy had to do he'd do with him, as this was his ultimate time to shine.

"No problem, Sora!" Goofy said to his friend as he swatted away the dark rain, a silly smile on his face. In between blocking the energy, the knight looked towards the two other combatants who had managed to take down another Dark Follower with an impressive display of their natural abilities. Still weren't out of the fire yet though, as one of the giants was still up. The knight was considering how to take this one down when he felt a hand grab his arm, and looked back to see Sora.
"Uh... what do you mean by you gowoah!" Goofy yelled out as Sora began gliding toward the heartless, taking Goofy along for the ride. Admittedly, it was actually kind of fun, but that wasn't the goal of this exercise, and it didn't take long for Goofy to climb up and start defending both himself and Sora from the energy until the keyblader reached the giant. Goofy disembarked from his friend and rolled away from the Dark Follower's strikes and watched his friend fire at the monster. Still, the creature stood, to Goofy's disappointment. However, an idea began formulating in the captain's head, and he figured out what he needed to do. He watched his buddy land back on the ground next to him, and spoke about what he thought they should do. A smile spread again on Goofy's face.
"Ah-hyuk! Took the words right outta my mouth!" Goofy responded confidently, and then moved next to Sora. The knight then nodded at his friend, began Knocksmash.
Goofy threw his shield at Sora, trusting his friend to strike it straight at the Heartless, again and again for about five times. After that, it was time for the both of them to throw their weapons at the monster at the same time, each about four times, the synchronized strikes doing more and more damage. However, they weren't done yet.
The knight curled up and jumped up on Sora's keyblade, with the keyblader then proceeding to hitt him with all of his force up into the air.
"YAAAAAA-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOOEY!"
Goofy began ricocheting around, slamming into the giant heartless with every return trip and then bouncing off it again with every strike, until finally, the knight was flying straight up to the giant's face, slamming into it with all of of his power, completing the last step of the limit, with the knight hoping that the combined force of himself and his friend would finish this creature off.
___
Knocksmash: Goofy throws his shield at Sora, who smashes his keyblade into it to launch it to an enemy three times. The two then throw their weapon in sync at the enemy, and Goofy ends the attack with Cosmo Boost, where he launches himself at intense speed at the enemy, doing massive amounts of damage. So her father was also a burden to Sir Auron. Her guardian had never mentioned that before, but she supposed the red-coated man never was one to share his memories. Though he never complained, she knew that her eagerness must have irked him sometimes. She had to bite her lip to stifle a smile at the memory of him having to command her to sit down twice on the Shoopuf she was almost stolen from in the Moonflow. She had felt awful and embarrassed at the time, forgetting that it was dangerous for her to stand even if only to let the driver know they were safe, but in retrospect her enthusiasm was a little funny. Forgive me, Sir Auron. One had to give him credit for running such a rigorous journey twice, and with such troublesome companions to boot.
Yuna could just see a black and tan flash rushing alongside her up the Heartless from the periphery of her vision, but continued to focus on her target until she received any signal or sense of danger. She heard Sir Jecht’s heads up, but did not turn, already knowing what was heading her way after having heard his previous attack call out. Instead, she gave the Dark Follower one final blow to the face the closer she got and used her running start to launch herself over the creature’s head. The sound of the meteor careening closer roared in her ears and she saw the lava-like light flare around her from behind as she descended. Her boot only just touched the ground when the crash of the meteor caused her to shudder and stumble. However, she rolled out of the way of the chaos, not wanting to give the giant a chance to crush her if it fell back. This didn’t protect her from the Dark Rain still in motion though and the Gullwing was struck by a falling orb before she could spring back up. She cried out, her body jolting as the dark energy seared her left leg. Instinctively, her hand moved to press the burn as if to dull the pain, but another purple globe was dropping over her and she could do nothing but roll away again and raise her guns above her head in a minor shield.
She was lucky enough not to be hit a second time, for Sora and Goofy were busy keeping the Heartless pre-occupied with an onslaught of attacks and thunder spells. Yuna limped to her feet, catching wind of Sora’s words and her brows furrowed for the briefest moment at the mention of Sir Auron. The guardian had travelled to other worlds, too? Suppressing her curiosity for now, she distanced herself from the enemy at hand, ignoring her burning leg and waited for a good opportunity to shoot, until eventually she was at Sir Jecht’s side once more.
She watched the fighters before them, feeling a little more eased to see that they were no longer alone. Sora and his friends really made an unstoppable team; she had seen that when they fought the 1000 Heartless in Radiant Gardens.
“U-uh...”
Re-positioning herself for battle sharply reminded her of the pain in her leg, which she frowned down at almost disapprovingly. She had planned to save her Cure spells for later use, not wishing to use them on an injury she could just grit her teeth and bear through, but with the hit being on her leg, it was hindering her movements.
Oh well, better cure it now whilst I have the chance.
She placed a gun back in its holster, freeing a hand to perform the spell when she heard Sora’s warning yell.
Oh, poopie!
With little time to cast, she instead reached behind her for the summoner’s Staff she’d attached to her belt after recently regaining her summons and moved forwards in front of Sir Jecht, swinging the weapon in an upwards stroke to deflect the first ball of energy flying their way. After taking a whack at the second though, her leg failed her and she buckled, open to any other orbs sent flying their way.
”Ah..! Watch out!”

As Jecht landed, he heard a scream in pain and looked above him to see Yuna getting hit by the Dark Rain. He growled, his fists shaking as his fiery aura started emanating around him. Braska's kid just got hit and he hadn't been there to protect her. That irked him quite a bit. He barely felt Sora and Goofy run past him nor even acknowledge Sora's question about Auron. As the ex-summoner landed and limped over to him, Jecht ran to her. "Yuna! You alright?!" Jecht said, almost on instinct. Then he heard the kid's warning and looked up as orbs of darkness homed in on Yuna and Jecht. The Jecht was amazed as Yuna got in front of Jecht and started protecting him from the orbs. Tch... strong kid, but who does she think she is? I don't need her protecting me! Jecht then front-flipped over Yuna and slashed at the orbs, determined to deflect them away from himself and the ex-summoner. "Yuna, I think you forgot, I'M the ex-guardian here!" he said, looking over his shoulder with a joking, arrogant smirk on his face. Then two orbs, which he hadn't seen, hit him square in the chest. He grunted and stumbled back, using his sword to balance himself. That attack had been a bit more potent than Jecht had realized. He looked up at the Dark Follower as Sora and Goofy attacked it. Jecht was angry. That THING had attacked his best friend's kid and was trying to eliminate a good kid and his friend. His fiery aura exploded around him. "KID, RONSO GUY, GET OUTTA OR JUST GET OUT OF MY WAY! I'M NOT GOING TO BE MYSELF FOR A FEW MINUTES!" Jecht yelled, as his hair began turning white and his skin grew darker. Spines started forming around his armored arm as his muscles grew bigger. He looked back at Yuna. "You, too... I don't want you seeing this. Once was enough." Jecht then completely turned into his Final Aeon form with a angered roar to rival the Beast. He then pointed at the Dark Follower. "Time for a shutout victory!" the former blitzball star said and he dashed at the monster, far faster than before. He then got right in front of the Heartless and jumped right up to its face. Jecht then reared back and slammed his head, now backed by his fierce power and no longer holding back, into the giant Heartless's head, not once, trice or even thrice but four times, following it up with a combo. If his combos before were brutal, this was positively savage looking. "Now... let me show why I'm the Best! Why I'm the Blitz King!" Jecht yelled and he started his Blitz King attack. He slashed at the Dark Follower's face, then kicked him twice. With the last kick, he was above the Heartless and was in good position as he stabbed his sword into the Heartless's face and used his own sword as leverage as he launched himself into the air. Above them had appeared another meteor, even larger than the previous one he used for his Ultimate Jecht Shot. Jecht then disappeared behind it and, with one roar, smashed the meteor into smaller pieces and then hit again, sending the pieces roaring at the Follower, converging right onto his head. ----------------- OOC Note: Appropriate~Ultimate Jecht Shot: Cooldown - 2 rounds Final Aeon: Cooldown - 6 rounds

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,480px,true][atrb=cellpadding,3px,true][atrb=cellspacing,3px,true][bg=939d8f] Where are you now? Are you lost? Will I find you again? Are you alone? Are you afraid? Are you searching for me? "Alright! Let's do this!" Sora cheered, as Goofy initiated his Knocksmash Limit by throwing his shield to him. He knocked it each time the Captain of the Knights hurled it his way, smashing it into the Heartless's face and again when Goofy summoned it back to him four more times in addition. Then he and Goofy stood valiantly side by side, throwing their weapons at the Heartless in a combination attack. Finally he held out his Keyblade in both hands like a gun pointed at the Heartless's head, the magical energy building up in the celestial before exploding and shooting him out like a gun. Just before Goofy hit, the guardian he learned was called Sir Jecht changed into a new powerful-looking form and pummeled the Pureblood Heartless, before breaking apart another giant rock and throwing it into the Dark Follower.
The giant boulders did the most damage as they barraged into the giant Heartless and did the most damage, but it was Goofy shooting off like a rocket with his Cosmo Boost that struck the fiend in the chin and did the finishing blow. The Heartless teetered back, arms flailing as it toppled over on it's back. Upon hitting the ground, it burst and splattered through the ground in disolving dark liquid. In this succession, Yuna, Jecht and then Goofy had fairly each finished off a Dark Follower in their own way and saved Sora from being overwhelmed.
"Now that's the power of the keyblade!" Sora hollered gratefully, waving said weapon safely to his left and right, then held it pointed upwards above him before swinging it over his shoulder in a ending battle pose. He checked that the keyblade hadn't hit Goofy, for it was the last thing he wanted to happen after the battle was over. "I can't believe... it's finally over." he added exhaustively in afterthought. If it were not for staggering over and placing his balance on a nearby protruding rock sticking out of the water, he would have fallen off-balance completely on his behind. He rested tiredly on the lone rock in the water, which reminded him of Cosmos's home world, if not that the scenery around him was the darkened world of the Heartless.
After resting for a moment, he pulled himself back up, and walked over to Yuna and Sir Jecht now the battle was finally over. He had already given his thanks; and from the look of reverence and awe at them, even Goofy, they knew he didn't have to thank them a second time for their courage and their selflessness. They were truly admirable people, to aid him from a fate that could have proved disastrous for him. "Hey! So you're Sir Jecht, and you knew Auron, right?" he looked over to the self-proclaimed ex-guardian, looking to formerly introduce himself. He wished they could have met in more... brighter circumstances than the world of the Heartless, but he had earned his respect and trust, so this would have to do. "Auron and I worked together at the Olympus Coliseum against Hades... maybe you'll find him there, if you're looking for him. My name's Sora, by the way; nice to meet you."
He turned to look at Yuna, his warm smile still plastered on his face, so glad she had been the first to arrive on the scene as his back-up so the others could arrive to assist in time. "Your friends are probably looking for you too, right? I never knew you had so much strength; you have a strong resolve." Not forgetting Goofy whom he had left to introduce himself, he laughed and wrapped an arm around his long-time traveling partner and one of his best friends. "Speaking of friends and looking for them... Goofy! I missed you, buddy! We should look for Donald, and then go find the King and Riku! And... the people who are waiting for me to heal their sadness..." he suddenly trailed off as if in reminder, sounding sad as he looked up into the violet blackness into the unseen stars beyond. He would find them just as he found Aqua, and a smile returned to his face as he side-hugged his dearest friend in adoration. "What do you say, Goofy? Do you want to go on another journey, and whomp some more of these Heartless? They won't stop coming as long as there's darkness in everyone's hearts... but, neither will we!"
