After a week of searching, a former detective was beginning to lose hope in her search for her daughter and was almost contemplating giving up. Indeed, it was disheartening to search as hard she did for a week, hardly getting any sleep at all and come up with no solid leads. Everyone she had shown the picture she had of her had said they had no recollection of seeing the girl in recent memory and nothing had come from the police department about it either. It seemed like a futile endeavor to continue searching for her daughter and she had already spent quite a bit of money hiring others to search for her as she didn’t have complete faith in the police department after her departure from the precinct. She wouldn’t have any money for the rent next month due to this and finding work that would allow her the freedom to continue searching for her daughter as much as she wished was rather unrealistic. While the thought of being a private investigator had crossed her mind, she had no real desire to neither look into people’s personal affairs nor compete with all the other PIs in her area for work. Her life was quickly going down the toilet and it was proving rather difficult to continue through all this adversity. If only these powers I had could help me find Eve… at least then they’d be useful for something other than making me a monster, she thought briefly as she pushed open the doors of a café she often frequented when on duty. She made her way to the counter rubbing her hands lightly and blowing on them as she approached the weather outside not very forgiving to those who forget their gloves. Upon reaching the counter she quickly made her order, taking a seat on the barstool in front of her and resting her chin atop her right hand. She glanced around rather quickly, noticing that the café was rather empty, quite a rarity from her experience frequenting it thus far. She sighed lightly at the thought though, not giving it much attention as she went to staring blankly at the wall ahead of her, lost in her own thoughts. How am I supposed to find her? she questioned as her cup of coffee was brought, Aya nodding lightly and giving her thanks. She blew on it lightly as she took a sip of it, enjoying her coffee black before putting the warm beverage back on the counter. It’d be one thing if I knew she was at least in the city but with these random portals opening everywhere who knows if she’s even on this planet anymore. For all I know she’s on a world where it’s always Halloween or they have flying talking rats. Not only that but while I hate to even think about it there’s still the chance that she… she trailed off in her mind, shaking her head banishing the thought. She didn’t want to even consider but in her heart she knew it was quite possible that was the reason she hadn’t made any headway in her search. Her daughter could be dead and while the time she had with her had been just a few months, the bond they shared was incredibly strong something even she thought was strange. She smiled lightly as she begun to recollect on more positive memories like the time Eve had tried to mix the cake batter but had put the mixer on too high and made a giant mess. Or when she had tried to figure out the coffee machine, never having seen one as complex as the one back in the apartment and nearly broke it trying to figure it out. Then there was the time she tried to fix the stereo, another one of those little moments that the former officer knew that only she would laugh at if she told the story. Indeed, it was one of those “you had to be there” types of things and she was glad to have been there. I hope we get to see each other again soon Eve, I still have to lecture you about that cellphone bill you’ve been running up, she thought briefly as she took another sip at her coffee. It was at that point she had decided to slip her hand into the black leather jacket she had on, pulling out her wallet. It was in here that she had the picture of Eve, looking at it briefly with a smile. Upon doing so another thought occurred, the blonde vixen figuring she’d get her money to pay for the drink ready now. Thus she opened the wallet fully, noticing it was rather empty at the moment and if she were in a cartoon this it’d be the cue for the fly to slip out the wallet. “Jeez I don’t even have enough money to pay for a cup of Joe now that I’m out of the station… I really need to find a new job,” she said aloud to no one in particular as the waitress had went to the bathroom although if another visitor had come walking through those doors, perhaps they would hear the statement.

Aya wasn't the only one in the world looking for someone. Tseng was also hunting to gather the rest of the Turks and to find Rufus as well. Then again, honestly, Tseng and Aya probably weren't the only two on the world search either. However, it did not matter at all as the Turk calmly strolled into the small cafe. It had been a long afternoon of finding absolutely nothing, so he had decided to go and get some tea and relax. Hopefully, they HAD tea on this world. Coffee would be a bit too strong today.
As he moved to go take his seat, he caught a glimpse of ... "Elena?" He asked with a surprised and slightly excited tone as he walked over, taking hold of her shoulder to get a better look. It had to be Elena. Even if she wasn't in a suit, it had to be her. He had even caught Reno in civilian clothes. Maybe Elena had ruined her suit and needed to have it repair.
However, after he managed to get a glimpse at her face, the realization sunk in that it wasn't Elena. However, she looked a hell of a lot like Elena, or even her older sister Gun. He also realized he had probably scared the hell out of this poor girl. With a calm half-bow, he quickly apologized, "I am extremely sorry. You look very similar to a friend of mine." Wait, did he just refer to Elena as a friend rather then a subordinate? Great, Tseng was just being a total sap today.
Thinking back as he straightened out, he didn't even try to stop himself before confronting the woman. Was he really that desperate to find Elena? He wasn't even looking that hard for the other Turks.

Suddenly, the distinct sound of a bell rang through the air, signaling that another customer had walked through the door. Despite said sound, the waitress from earlier was still in the bathroom and for some reason it seemed like no other waitresses were available in the café that day. This surprised the former officer a bit but once again she ignored it, her thoughts returning to the issue of not having a job. Be nice if I could get a job where I traveled a lot but that’s real wishful thinking… not a whole lot of people want to hire an officer that got canned after all, the blonde vixen thought as she leaned back, holding the bottom of her stool with her hands. She took a deep breath as she came back toward the counter but before she could so much as let out the breath she had taken, a hand pulled upon her shoulder. Her eyes widened as her head turned to face the shoulder grasping individual, her blue eyes falling upon a rather peculiar sight. A flustered man was the individual in question and it was soon apparent that he had mistaken her for someone else as she heard the name Elena escape his lips. He would then quickly make an apology, implying that he had mistaken her for someone else, something the former officer found quite strange… she looked like someone else? Not exactly a lot of people that look like me being part Japanese and all… there also isn’t a lot of people that are a monster like me either, she thought morbidly but quickly dismissed the thought. She put her hands up defensively as she tilted her head slightly, a smile curving against her lips… no need to give a bad first impression. “No need to apologize, happens to the best of us,” she replied as she began to give the man a once over, quite impressed by his attire. Indeed, from the looks of how well tailored his suit was, the former officer began to wonder if that man was wearing Armani. If that were the case, then he certainly was loaded and thus she began to wonder what he was doing in a place like this. While she hadn’t much experience with dealing with rich folk, she couldn’t help but question why a presumably wealthy man would stop by this little café. One would think that type of person would go to a much higher end place then a little family owned café for whatever they wished to drink or eat. With the possibility of him being rich out of the way she began to ponder the idea of him being a Fed but dismissed that just as quickly. Indeed, Feds did make better pay than your average cop but the pay certainly wasn’t good enough for a suit that expensive. Armani was the kind of suit that only those making at LEAST six figures could afford and your average Fed certainly didn’t make that much. Jeez I really got to stop this habit of trying to deduce everything about a person just from a glance, she noted as she stopped her train of thought at the possibility that the man was a hired bodyguard for a VIP. It was upon stopping at that thought she began to wonder what chance she had getting such a job… If I had to do security on a VIP then there’s a chance that said VIP likes to travel a lot. If he travels a lot and goes around to other worlds it might improve the chances I have of finding Eve. Wonder if the security detail he’s in needs any extra hands… well assuming that’s his profession anyway, I could be off the mark but I sure as hell know he isn’t a Fed or a business man, the blond thought as she took another sip of her coffee. She would then glance back over to the man, putting in a tiny amount of creamer into her coffee as she began to slowly stir it. “So this Elena girl… is she someone you’re looking for?” she started, pausing for but a moment to taste her coffee now with the little bit of extra cream inside, “I imagine she’s someone you haven’t seen in quite some time since you seemed rather excited when you grabbed me earlier. Ah sorry I don’t mean to pry I’m just a bit curious is all and wanted to know if I could be of any help as I am a police officer… or rather a former officer anyway,” she explained, chuckling lightly as she looked back to her coffee a bit embarrassed at her blunder. Or at least that’s what it would seem like, what she was really doing was seeing how she reacted to her declaration of being a former officer. She hoped he’d respond positively and depending on what information he divulged she could get a better grasp on who he was and what he did. Whatever answers I get… she thought as she took another sip of her coffee,I just hope they can get me just one step closer to finding Eve,

Tseng was more than a bit embarrassed, he would have to admit. It wasn't often that he walked into a cafe and practically spun some girl around in their seat thinking they were a co-worker of his. However, she smiled politely and brushed it off that it was fine and it happens. Yes, it might happen, but it never happened to him. He was a lot more calm and collective than the other Turks in his command. He nodded once more.
He'd have to drop it the best he could and just let it go. She really did look like Elena and it was surprising. As his eyes scanned his surroundings to see if he could find a seat, the young Elena-look-alike began to speak to him again, almost prodding into his life. Normally, he would have answered simply or ignored the person all together. Yet with this set of circumstances, he decided to make an exception.
"Yes, I have been looking for her. She's a co-worker of mine." He answered. "I have seen her recently, but the predicament separated us." It was the truth, the Turks had been ambushed in Twilight Town and Vincent had whisked her out of harms way and Tseng had left with Rude. He hadn't seen Elena since and he was worried about her safety. She may have been a Turk, but it didn't mean he wasn't worried about the main female of his team.
However, when she mentioned she was an officer... no, ex-officer, he became a bit leery. His expression didn't let it on, but he was watching her a bit more. She didn't look like she had been in SOLDIER as she didn't have the mako eyes. Then again, she probably wasn't even from his world. He was just being extra careful now. If she was an ex-officer at her age, she probably did something to have her discharged. Luckily for her, she wasn't a turk or she'd of been exterminated. In response to the officer comment, he half nodded, not verbally responded before taking the stool next to her.
"Help isn't necessary. Thank you for the offer." At this time, the waitress reappeared from the restroom and quickly approached the Wutai man. "Can I get you anything?" Tseng glanced up at her and nodded. "Do you have tea?" The waitress nodded and shifted off to get him something. It wasn't too long before she returned and sat the cup in front of him. "Thank you." He took a sip of it and kept a neutral expression. Maybe he should have stuck with the coffee.
He finally looked back at her. "Former officer? You decide it wasn't enjoyable to continue?" Yes, he was now almost interrogating her. Yet, he wouldn't seem to be doing so to any other person in the room. However, Aya may notice the tone change as he took another sip of the tea.

Soon enough the blonde vixen got the answers to her questions, a curt nod being her response and stopped her prying there. Considering the fact the man hadn’t given more details than just “the predicament”, whatever had happened was probably not something he wished to speak of. Furthermore, while it was just a hunch at this point, the ex-officer couldn’t help but think that this man thought of Elena as more than just a co-worker. She wasn’t quite sure herself why she believed so; after all it was reasonable that one would be concerned for the co-worker right? And assuming the “predicament” had been something rather dangerous, surely anyone would be concerned about their co-worker’s well-being. Heh perhaps it’s woman’s intuition, she thought, rolling her eyes at the notion. Regardless, the jobless vagrant’s attention was soon brought to reality again, the man declining her offer for help, something Aya wasn’t all too pleased with. She had hoped for a more receptive response, perhaps not a job offer out the gate but just a simple “I’ll consider it,” type of response. This was troubling but when she thought back on her words, perhaps telling the man she was a former officer wasn’t the best idea. Indeed, she could have just claimed to be an officer and if asked for her badge to prove it asserted she simply didn’t have it on her since she was off-duty. It’s a shame I’m a terrible liar though, she mused as she sipped at her coffee once more that was getting ever closer to the bottom of the cup, then again there’s certainly other ways to prove one’s an officer and if I was caught in a lie I’m sure that wouldn’t end well either. Thus the question becomes, should I just be completely honest with this guy or just leave out certain details while I try to lead this conversation into a chance at employment? she continued in her mind, sighing inwardly. Before she could think on the matter any longer though, the suited individual asked a question his tone changing just a tad. While this would escape most people, having been a detective even if only for a short time, Aya was quite keen at picking up what others missed and was curious as to why he wished to know exactly. Was it just simple curiosity or was there a greater purpose to his question? Whatever the case was, she needed to respond and seeing as she had already let it slip that she was a former officer, she could be at least a little honest with the guy. “Well something like that I suppose although the main reason I resigned was because I wanted more time to search for someone important to me as well,” she started as she shuffled through her wallet, pulling out a picture of Eve and her smiling as they took a picture at an amusement park, “She’s my daughter and during a large scale invasion of a creature called the Heartless she went missing. I’m not sure where she’s at right now but I’ve been turning every stone without much luck at all… heck I’m not even sure she’s on this planet anymore,” she explained, the expression on her face melancholic to say the least. She sighed lightly as she pressed her palm against her forehead, smiling lightly as she shook her head. “Ah sorry I don’t mean to be a drag it’s just been a while since I got to vent and unfortunately you were the closest person,” she started, snickering lightly at herself as she picked her head back up glancing over to the man, “to make matters worse I haven’t even introduced myself and I’m venting on you… the name’s Brea, Aya Brea,” she continued, extending her hand toward the tea drinking patron for a shake… she really hoped she was putting on a good first impression. I hope he has a soft spot for this type of ordeal, she thought briefly remembering her dwindling supply of coffee, because if not a job offer of some sort I need to at least guilt him into paying for the cup of Joe somehow,

Tseng did have a soft spot for Elena, honestly. The two of them had been through a lot in their careers and they were as close as Rude and Reno were. He had asked Elena out to eat after one of their missions years ago, and she had accepted the offer. However, due to unforeseen events, he had ended up in a hospital for a while. There was also the events of Geostigma where they were all cooped up in the Healin Lodge with Rufus. They had also been kidnapped in the Northern Crater when Elena came back to rescue him and ended up getting captured too. They had been through so many traumatic events together, that a bond was going to form.
However, he would never speak of any of these events to anyone. Elena was the only one he would consider speaking too. Rufus had asked many a time for a report, but Tseng declined and constantly gave him the run around. He would give basic overviews, never details. He also refused to give up Valentine as the one who had rescued them from being tortured to death. Thankfully the two hadn't revealed any information to the remnants.
Tseng was listening to the woman when she finally began to answer his question. There was a notable pause before she began to answer his question. He could tell she had practically caught he was interrogating her. Maybe she was better at this then he had given her credit for. When the woman did answer, she stated she was looking for her daughter and calmly pulled out her wallet to reveal a picture. Tseng quickly took not that the wallet was thin and didn't seem to have much of anything inside of it.
This meant Tseng could probably apologize for scaring her earlier by paying for her coffee. It was the least he could do. She then continued on about the heartless and Tseng nodded in response, expression not changing as he continued to drink his coffee. "Similar thing happened on my planet. It takes a while to slowly regroup after something like that." He also made note that this world was her home world, which also meant she was safe to talk to. She probably wasn't after Rufus.
The woman shifted and rested her head on her hand. She seemed pretty upset about the events that had unfolded and apologized for rambling. "Don't worry about it. I have heard worse." Yes, Reno never shut up about how horrible his life was and why he shouldn't have to do paperwork. Her story was nothing on that. Without a moment's pause, she introduced herself as Aya Brea and extended a hand. Tseng sat his tea down and took her hand, shaking it before releasing. "Tseng, of the Turks."
He didn't use his last name anymore, not after joining the Turks. It would have been too risky had anyone found out his history and past and harmed anyone he had cared about. He had cut ties with them years ago, not that they cared after he had left to join the company that had ruined their homeland. So, to Aya is may seem odd that he gave his first name and a title. He then picked up his tea, continuing to finish up his tea. He really needed to be getting back to his search.
"Well, I really should get back to work. It was a pleasure meeting you, Mrs. Brea. You should probably check you wallet next time before deciding to get coffee." He calmly paid for her cup and his tea. "You may not have some stranger feel remorseful for frightening you earlier. Also, I wish you luck in finding your daughter. I know the feeling. I have a few people to look for. If I happen upon your daughter, I'll be sure to get her back here." He nodded and straightened his suit jacket before shifts off the stool and headed to leave. Hm, maybe he should have asked the name of the world while he had her. Oh well, he'd just ask someone else.

And so the conversation continued, the man not seeming to mind the sudden rambling and offering his name up as well. It was Tseng, Tseng of the Turks quite a formal title that Aya was certainly curious about. Who were the Turks and what did they do? Were they a mercenary unit or just hired bodyguards that had a specific title to reflect their skills? This and many other questions began to form in the blond vixen’s head as they shook hands briefly. When she had finished her coffee Tseng had spoken once more, telling her that he’d get the tab for this bill and that he would be departing. Much like her he was a busy individual and now she learned that it wasn’t only this Elena that he was looking for but a few others. Are those others co-workers? she thought quickly as he spoke his piece, It stands to reason that they are, if one of them was separated from whatever “predicament” he spoke of earlier if they were together it’s quite possible all of them were separated. He hasn’t given me a number but a few probably means anywhere in the area of three to five missing persons. If he believes he can find them by himself in this vast galaxy then he’s foolishly optimistic, she mused as she rose from her seat. It was right when he was about to open the doors that a voice would call out to him. “Wait,” the former officer would state as she walked toward the man, “are you really sure you don’t need the help looking for your people? I know it’s none of my business but two heads are better than one and I think we’d both find the people were looking for a lot faster if we worked together. Plus considering how dangerous those Heartless can be it be better to have someone watch your back right?” she started as she stopped only a couple feet away from him. Assuming he turned around to see the penniless blond, he’d notice her taking a breath as she put her hand to her heart, a warm smile curving against her lips as she averted her eyes to the ground. “And if your situation is anything like mine than I imagine you’ll want to find them as soon as possible,” she began in a warm tone before dropping her hand and her smile vanishing as quickly as it came, “plus I think helping you with that task would be one way to thank you for picking up the tab as searching for my daughter hasn’t exactly been cheap,” she noted, a snicker escaping her lips. She would then pick up her gaze back to Tseng as she brushed some hair behind her left ear, smiling lightly to show her sincerity. “So what do you say? Would you mind the services of the former officer Brea or would it be Aya the Turk?” she asked as she blinked suddenly, remembering something he said earlier, “oh and for the record, it’s Ms. Brea not Mrs.,” she started as she showed him her bare ring finger, “hard finding a guy worth tying the knot with in this city, heck even this planet to be honest,” she joked, although she certainly agreed with the sentiment quite a bit. It was irrelevant though, she was just trying to put on a good impression and she certainly believed she had done so thus far. Now it was just time to see how he would react to her repeated offer, hopefully this time just a tad more receptive. Cause I know I won’t be able to find her alone,

Tseng had just gotten to the door when a voice called out to him and he glanced back to see Aya approaching him again. The Turk wasn't sure what she wanted, but he paused for a moment. It seemed she wanted to help, and honestly more help would be great. However, he couldn't do any background checks on her or have her followed for a few days to see if she was a threat. "The heartless aren't much of a problem." He said, still formulating an answer in his head.
The girl moved her hand to her chest and smiled warmly at him. She really did remind him of Elena, except Elena's grin would have been a bit wider with a small laugh added with the slightest tilt of her head. She continued speaking and dropped her hands and the smile disappeared. "There's no need to thank me." He stated, knowing that it probably didn't mean much to the girl.
"Help is always appreciated, however... I don't have the resources to clear you past the security to work with us. Plus, if you knew anything about us, you'd turn it down anyway." He said, almost being cryptic. Maybe he could at least describe the other Turks and give their names with his cell phone number and they could communicate and work together that way. It was a stretch, but that way she wouldn't need to be cleared. Yet, then he'd need to reveal Rufus.
She then paused to correct him in his use of a title. It turns out the young woman wasn't married, flashing her hand without a wedding ring. Tseng had assumed she was married and that she wasn't wearing the ring. Most police officers removed their rings and didn't care any personal information on them in case someone got a hold of it and couldn't harm their families. He nodded. "My apology. I should not have simply presumed it just because you were looking for your daughter." He nodded, it was always hard to find somebody to spend your life with, it was even harder being a Turk since having a relationship could get the other person killed.
"Let's talk outside..." He stated, after getting a look from the waitress from their blocking of the door. He held the door for her and shifted a bit down the street, checking to be sure there wasn't anyone too close. "I suppose I could exchange information on people with you..." If ShinRa was working with Avalanche, it wouldn't be much of a stretch to form some alliance. However, Tseng hadn't known her for years like he did with most of Avalanche. It was a tricky road. Yet, he continued walking at a slow pace, talking with her.
"I am looking for four people, that I know of. It's possible that a few others of our group have also reappeared, but they 'retired' a while back. Elena looks much like you, short blond hair, a bit of a klutz and runs her mouth a bit. Rude is a taller, strong man with darker skin, and always has a pair of sunglasses on his face. Reno never has his suit completely done up, a bit of a slob, red hair tied back into a ponytail with a pair of goggles on his head. All should be wearing suits, but it's possible that they have changed into civilian clothing." He paused. "Rufus... Has blond hair, slicked back with a few pieces that hang in his face. He has blue eyes and is always in his white suit. He's average height, hard to miss."
"We are also aligned with a group called Avalanche who has a few members in a group named the Hallow Bastion Restoration Committee in Radiant Garden. They also tend to frequent Traverse Town and Hallow Bastion. If you happen upon them, it might be best that you not mention myself unless it is to a girl with a pink dress, long brown hair in a braid with a pink bow. Her name is Aerith." He paused again. It was a lot of information to give out and he'd only mentioned the people that the Turks were trusting.
"Lastly would be the WRO, the World Regenesis Organization, head by Reeve Tuesti who is also part of Avalanche. Any of their officers would help you as well." Once more he paused. He still had to warn her about their main enemies as well as tell her who the Turks were. In hind sight, it might have been best to tell her who they were first.

After her spiel and Tseng’s few comments in between, the blonde women was offered the chance to continue the conversation outside the café. She nodded lightly at the offer as she walked out the door he held open for her, scanning the scenery much like Tseng. While she wasn’t particularly worried about people eavesdropping on their conversation, it never hurt to be careful. Furthermore, there was also the off chance that a Heartless might be wreaking some sort of havoc and such an incident was something she would stop even if she was no longer an officer. Regardless, after a moment of checking around it was quite apparent that the streets were dead at the moment, only a few pedestrians here and there. Thus her attention turned back to Tseng who quickly began speaking and boy did he have a lot to tell. Indeed, the first thing he noted was the current situation of how many people he was looking for, four people being the amount Aya had figured as much earlier. Then their descriptions came, the first being Elena, a blonde beauty much like the former officer although apparently much more of a klutz and either very talkative or brash. ”Runs her mouth a bit” could mean either or really but if she looks like me that should make it easy enough to know if any blondes I pass by happen to be her, the vixen thought as she crossed her arms almost as if putting more emphasis on how serious she took the situation. Regardless, the next description came in about a man by the name of Rude, seeming to fit the description of tall, dark, and handsome that some women looked for in a man. A note on his hair would be nice or lack thereof… oh well suppose I can ask him after he’s done, she continued in that overactive mind of hers. The next name was soon thrown out, Reno with a bit of a better description to follow suit. Speaking of suits, it would seem that all of them would be wearing one if she came across them although the former detective figured as much. It didn’t seem likely that he was the only one wearing a suit in a rather professional sounding group called The Turks in the first place. They could also be wearing civilian clothing as well though the detective doubted it a tad since to her it would make little difference in hiding themselves from their foes, assuming they had seen their faces. Unless they wear masks when they do whatever it is they do… or perhaps they’re trained to blend in with civilians in the case of something like this happening and go as far as cutting hair and what not. Well whatever the case is I shouldn’t go that far in my assumptions since I have no idea what type of group they are quite yet, the blonde thought as she shifted her left hand to cup her chin in between her thumb and index finger as she continued listening after Tseng’s pause. He then described the fourth missing person and needless to say the former officer was already working in her head the importance of that man. Considering the fact that he wore a different colored suit it could possibly signify a difference in rank and the slight stretch on the name made her believe that if nothing else he was a bit more important than the others. Before she could ponder on that train of thought for too long though, mention of another group called Avalanche came as well their affiliates and where their bases of operations were. This put the former detective at ease a bit since it was likely that if she mentioned this man’s name that she could get a place to stay as she explored the worlds for the other Turks And Eve more importantly… she thought for a brief second before clearing her throat and nodding to Tseng before letting her left hand rest on her right bicep again, her arms crossed as she shifted her hips to the right. ”I see… I think I’m beginning to get a better understanding of what’s going on now although I have a few questions I’d like to ask. You mentioned a lot of other organizations that work with you guys but haven’t really explained what your own organization does. I imagine since your affiliates are organizations with those names you guys are interested in saving the worlds or something? That aside, I was also curious as to what kind of enemies you might have aside from the Heartless. Sometimes when looking for people it’s better to search for the culprit instead of the victim so if I know what opposing forces there are to your organization, I can try a different angle to help find your allies, she explained, a small pause as she closed her eyes briefly and took a short breath, And perhaps by some stroke of luck Eve, she thought before speaking once more. ”Also since we may be splitting up to explore different worlds, do you have any method of communication we could use to contact each other? I have a cellphone but I’m not quite sure how well that will works across galaxies especially since I only learned of other inhabited worlds being out there just recently. The last question I have is a small one and it’s about that Rude character, what’s his hairstyle like or does he not have any? she paused once more, taking her left hand and placing it on her neck. She rotated it slightly as she sighed lightly with her eyes closed, opening them once more to look over to the Turk, her serious expression still ever present. ”Oh and if you have any questions for me feel free to ask so long as it isn’t my age, she noted, a small “hmph” escaping her lips, ”This is an exchange of information after all so whatever you wish to ask of me please do so,

A world saving corporation? Well, that was a laugh. ShinRa was anything but that in the past. However, with the changes Rufus was implementing with it's recreation, it wouldn't be damaging the planet anymore. "It's a Electric Power Company...the only one on our planet....however it's not currently in full operation and Reeve is overseeing it. It didn't have the best reputation in the past.... but it's changed since some of the incidents. I'd go into more detail, but I don't have the time to give you the entire history of the company." He did not give the companies name as it would give away Rufus's last name and she would be smart enough to connect the dots and know most of the story. Tseng kept a stoic expression.
"It's a very broad range of enemies. Most of the planet's population despises the company and the only thing keeping them relaxed is Reeve heading the WRO. Though a few of our top enemies were part of the army our company had. Sephiroth... and Genesis.... are two you must keep your distance from. They were both First Class soldiers and have abilities beyond anything you have met. Though, I admit Sephiroth would be more interested in attacking over Genesis." Tseng took the time to describe the two in complete details. He paused.
"Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo are .... remnants of Sephiroth, as we call it. They are fragments. I am not sure how they all are managing to exist. The one you need to watch the most is Kadaj. He... is the one that has the Pre-....... Rufus." He paused and described the group of remnants as best he could, even detailing their weapons and personalities. "I'd also keep an eye out on the people in Avalanche. Some of them aren't the biggest fans of us either and aren't in agreement with the truth. So be-friend Aerith first. She's the healer of the group."
When she mentioned the communication, Tseng pulled his phone out of his pocket, flipping it open and offering it to her. "They aren't the most reliable things. But I have a home base in Radiant Garden that Aerith can point you to. I am usually there at night after I scout during the day." This way, she could input her number and he could call her and she would have his. This way, he could contact her if he happened about her daughter.
When Aya started on about Rude, he didn't need to hear the whole question before answering. "He doesn't have hair...Though, he does have a goatee with a moustache..." Tseng stated, slightly amused at the fact she had caught it. He had mentioned everyone's hair except Rude's. "He's also very quiet and doesn't speak very much."
When the conversation shifted to her, he started, breaking the key rule about talking to a woman. "You're mid-twenties..... I don't see what the problem with that is." Because if she was having an issue with her age, that made him old... and he wasn't. "What was your job/company/position, what's the real reason you left, and why do you seem so intent on working with me?" He wasn't stupid and he knew she hadn't been telling the whole truth about why she left. He also noticed she had latched onto him and wanted him to help for a reason. He wasn't sure why she wanted to work with him, but he had to know. Maybe after he knew, he might give a few more details.

Without missing a beat, the leader of the Turks began answering the questions Aya asked, the former officer wishing that people were this willing to exchange info when she was on the job. Indeed, had it been so her job surely would have a lot easier back when she still had it. Although that was a matter for another time, for now she was simply absorbing all this information, grateful that she had seemed to make an ally even if his origins were questionable.
I certainly mind hearing those stories some other time, the blond vixen thought as she nodded curtly, I don't get any bad vibes from this guy but... it would be nice to know what the company I may be getting involved in has done in the past to warrant enemies she finished her train of thought as he began to explain some of the specific enemies were. The first to be described was a man by the name of Sephiroth, a rather odd sounding name but at the very least if she looked for him he'd be easy to find.
I doubt there's a whole lot of “Sephiroths” running around the galaxy, she thought as he began to give a general description of his build, clothing, hair, and fighting style. From all the details she was being given, it sounded like he was a super-villain straight out of a comic book or something. Insanely long sword, lightning fast movement, the ability to summon meteors, and plenty of other absurd abilities. Had she heard this description only a week or so ago, she would have laughed and asked if Tseng was smoking something he shouldn't be.
But I suppose I'm a monster just like that guy, she mused, sighing mentally as he continued on to describe the other super soldier in vivid detail as well. Much like the other story, it was hard to believe but considering all the crazy things that had happened just a week ago, Aya took the man's words for truth. He had no reason to lie to her anyway, it certainly wouldn't help him in any way and it was highly unlikely that this was just some incredibly elaborate ruse. That being said, the tales regarding these soldiers certainly didn't put the officer at ease in regards to what this company was involved in though.
It sure as hell isn't just an electric power company, she noted as Tseng then began to speak of the remnants, another set of super-human beings that sounded like quite a bit of trouble. Apparently, the one named Kadaj was particularly dangerous, that remnant being the one that seemed to have kidnapped the man known as Rufus who's importance was easily discernible.
Not many words start with “pres” that I can think of... the first one that comes to mind is “president”, she thought briefly as he then began to describe the remnants in greater detail. She nodded lightly as she pinched the bridge of her nose, closing her eyes briefly as she made sure to remember all of it. If she ever found these characters whilst searching for Eve, knowing their abilities before a fight broke out would give her an advantage over them even if she had yet to gain full control of her own. Regardless, another warning was given in regards to the group called Avalanche and how not all members were aware of the alliance with Tseng's company. This made the former detective a even more uneasy, the alliance she thought she was forming seeming to have more enemies than allies.
Well hopefully if I speak with Aerith I won't have any problems... and maybe she can give me a better idea as to why this company has so many enemies, she thought as Tseng than pulled out his cellphone. Aya stepped forward as he extended his hand to give it to her, the detective grabbing it gently as she pulled out her own mobile. She then called her phone with his, deciding that testing it would be for the best and as it would seem despite being from different worlds the call went through as her phone vibrated in her right hand. With that test out of the way, she now had his number and quickly saved it as a contact on her phone and likewise with his phone and her number. Last but not least, the question bout Rude was answered, the man apparently a bald fellow which would probably make finding him easier. Regardless, Tseng continued speaking and apparently without thinking as he noted Aya's age, her eye twitching a tad since he guessed it right on the dot.
Jeez do I really look that old? she asked herself and while she wanted to punch Tseng a little bit decided to hold back her urge for the time being, wouldn't want this encounter turning sour over something like that, she finished as Tseng also finished asking her questions she had dreaded to be asked. She sighed lightly, figuring that the man was aware she was being a little skimpy on the details regarding her own situation. Telling him that she had been kicked off the force because she was a bit of a loose cannon probably wouldn't be the best impression to give him.
Well I suppose I can stretch the truth a bit, I doubt he'll have the time to investigate into my past right now and I can always get a local to speak on my behalf, she thought as she rubbed the back of her neck with her right hand, a bit of a smirk curving against her lips.
”I was a detective at the local police station and the reason I'm a former officer is cause I'm a bit more concerned about helping the people than filling quotas and getting involved in the politics of being a cop. I did my job but not the exact way my boss wanted me to and thus we weren't exactly on great terms. Then when the incident happened where the Heartless invaded, I disregarded the orders to report to the precinct and do damage control. I rushed home from theater to see how my daughter was doing and when I got home...” she trailed off for a moment, clenching her right fist as she averted her gaze to the ground, ”she was gone. Needless to say, I wasn't exactly in the greatest state of mind to head back and fight the Heartless threat so I stayed home that night. I came back in the next day and well you can probably piece the rest together. And so here I am jobless and with a missing daughter,” she explained, sighing lightly after her story. She took a step back as she turned on her heel to the left, resting her back on a nearby wall. She crossed her arms as she looked ahead, not meeting Tseng's gaze at the moment as she wasn't fond of others seeing the sadness in her eyes when she thought of Eve.
”And that's pretty much the reason why I wish to work with you, to find my daughter. She means everything to me and I know that I can't find her alone so I need all the help I can get,” she started as a smile curved against her lips as she looked over to Tseng, ”Although that's not to say I'd take the help from just anyone! You seem like a good guy thus far so I figure I can trust you to help find my daughter. Furthermore, if I can help you find the people you're looking for as well then why not? Two heads are certainly better than one wouldn't you say?” Aya asked, as her smile faded and her expression was a tad more serious... and hoping Tseng bought her story.
Well it's not like I'm lying about anything really, she thought as she shifted her back against the wall getting a little more comfortable, I'm just leaving out the fact that I'm a monster,

Tseng normally didn't give out information to people he didn't know. However, if he wanted the chance to find Rufus, he'd have to give the information that she requested. Yet, in turn she would have to be completely honest with him. The moment she proved untrustworthy she was to be removed.
However, he was worried he may have put her in an awkward position. By aligning with the Turks and ShinRa, she would be shutting a lot of doors and making a good few enemies in the process. There was also a chance that she may change sides if she knew the truth of the company. Then again, if he explained the history in a flattering way toward Rufus and make his father look like the villain, then there would be a higher chance she would stay aligned with the Turks.
ShinRa was a bit more than an Electric Power Company. It had it's own army, science and research department... there was so much more he could name. It didn't matter. He would have to explain it to her eventually. It wasn't the company's fault that one scientist had gone too far and created a monster.
Finally, he finished answering her questions and his were being answered. He listened intently to the answers, reading he face and expressions as she spoke. The Director had to be sure she wasn't lying. The woman began explaining she had been a police officer, as she had stated before, and that she didn't exactly follow orders. She hadn't reported and picked her daughter first over her job. He couldn't relate. His job was to protect the president and his Turks, in that order, and that's what he did. Then again, he didn't have anyone else in the world he cared for. Tseng made a note that if things turned for the worst, the woman would probably protect herself and her daughter over Rufus. Then again, Rufus wouldn't want a non-Turk to protect him, especially one that was a woman.
She also explained that she had pretty much picked him as someone who could help find her daughter. Maybe she was just a good judge of character. He could respect that. However, there was something she was leaving out... and the Turk knew it. He also made sure it showed on his face so that Aya knew he knew as well.
"Fine, I'll believe that." He paused, debating whether or not to explain about the company. So he decided to be blunt. "I suppose I should be the one to tell you about the company...ShinRa...before you hear only negitives..." Again he paused. "ShinRa was using the life-stream, our planets life force, to supply energy to the people. Some people thought we were destroying Gaia. Avalanche was one of them and turned to terrorism to stop us. At this time... Rufus's father was in charge. He was your typical greedy business man... and at that time the Turks were known for their spying and assassinations..." Tseng was obviously not pleased with this, but he kept a neutral face before continuing, sounding a bit relieved at his following statement.
"Sephiroth made his appearance and killed the President, which forced Rufus to take over. Rufus made some bad decisions and decided to go after and destroy both Avalanche and Sephiroth. During the manhunts, Sephiroth managed to obtain a special materia and summon a meteor to collide with our planet. This made Sephiroth a common enemy to ShinRa and Avalanche. As meteor approached our major city, majority was destroyed but the planet survived. In the meantime, Avalanche destroyed Sephiroth." He paused, opening his gun and removing a materia to show her what it looked like. He was pretty sure the woman had never seen a materia before and offered her it to see. He made sure it was only his Cure materia.
"This caused Avalanche to be the heroes and since ShinRa had created Sephiroth, it was only fair for the people to blame ShinRa for the close destruction of the planet. It's just easier to pin the blame to someone." He decided to leave how Aerith was a Cetra out of the mix. It would be too much to explain Gaia's entire culture and history to her in such a short amount of time. He also didn't want to distract her with too much information. "Getting into Kadaj would be too much for you to handle. But let's just say Rufus concealed something Kadaj needed for a few weeks while Avalanche got their acts together.... and threw it off a building in front of Kadaj after denying he knew it's location..." Tseng smirked for a moment.
"He can be a bit stubborn and cunning.... so... he makes enemies easier than he makes allies."

After having explained her story, the former officer aware of Tseng’s keen observation of her body language, Aya had also picked up on his own. With the facial expression that he had on, it almost seem as if he knew she was leaving something out, hiding something from him. This was true and while Aya thought she had put on a good enough poker face, she was dealing with a professional here so she wasn’t surprised that he was a bit more perceptive than others. Yet it was hard to muster up the courage to tell someone you were a monster, people always reacted the same to it… fearful. The other officers would jump out of their skin if they so much as touched me and apologize immediately, she thought as she took a deep breath and slowly exhaled, I’ll probably never be able to live a normal life again, she finished her train of thought as she looked over to Tseng, noticing that he had begun speaking once more. He claimed to believe her although that look he had given her earlier seemed to suggest otherwise. It was no matter though, for now she would listen to him as he wished to tell the tale of Shinra. Needless to say, it was more than a simple electric power company and was into the business of destroying the planet, presumably anyway. If there anything like the environmentalists we deal with here I bet they have little evidence if any to back up their claims, the blond vixen noted as she continued to listen and found the part about assassinations of particular interest, If they’re willing to kill people that oppose them I’m sure they’d treat me the same if I did something NOT to their liking, she noted, making sure to remember that particular tidbit. Regardless, the story continued now coming round to the super solider Sephiroth who decided to assassinate the president of Shinra, Rufus’ dad. Due to this unfortunate event, the young and inexperienced Rufus was forced to take that position of power and predictably made a few mistakes. Said mistakes were a manhunt for both the group known as Avalanche and Sephiroth which obviously hadn’t gone well. Otherwise they still wouldn’t exist today would they? she asked rhetorically as the story continued about how Sephiroth gained the power to destroy the planet. It was quite a troublesome power and due to that Avalanche and Shinra decided to work together to take out the threat. How much Shinra did was questionable, most likely just staying out of Avalanche’s way since the story ended with Avalanche dealing the final blow to the silver-haired menace. Another pause in the story commenced, Tseng drawing his firearm and taking a strange small orb out of it. He offered it to her, the former detective driven by her investigator instinct. She examined it thoroughly, quite curious as to what this particular “materia” could do but figured that it was a safe one as she doubted Tseng would hand her a more dangerous one. Regardless, after looking it over for a bit she handed it back to the Turk as he noted how Shinra became the scapegoat for the entire incident whilst Avalanche became the hero of the story. Well to be fair your company was responsible for the entire ordeal in the end, she started mentally, So long as the company owns up to its mistake and is working to redeem itself I don’t see a reason for me not to trust them. If I ask him he’ll probably claim they are but he does have a conflict of interest working for them and all, she thought, now making sure she’d get Avalanche’s side of the story or rather Aerith’s side of the story. Regardless, Tseng’s side of the tale would continue for just a bit longer, summarizing the ordeal with Kadaj and making sure to note Rufus’ cleverness. This made the vixen smirk a tad, starting to believe that Tseng was trying really hard to make his boss look good. I suppose if I did the same I’d probably still be employed, she mused as she nodded. ”Quite the history your company has there and I’m going to imagine that’s just the tip of the iceberg,” the blond vagrant started, crossing her arms as she turned to Tseng, a smirk curved against her lips, ”Although I think I know what I need to know at this point to trust you and your company so I appreciate you being honest with me. That being said, I haven’t been completely open with you and while I know that probably isn’t giving you the best impression of me I hope you can be a bit understanding. The reason why I didn’t want to reveal this part of me is simply cause it makes most people deathly afraid of me but considering what you’ve dealt with as a Turk it probably won’t be too hard to believe when you see it, she spieled, motioning for the Turk to follow him. While she had decided to show him her power, she did not feel like showing it off in public even if there wasn’t many to see. Regardless, once she had found a suitable alley, the former officer would set up a few trash cans (empty luckily enough) around her on all sides except her front which is where Tseng would be watching from (presumably). When the stage was set, the blond vixen would take a deep breath slowly letting it escape past her lips as she closed her eyes. I know it’s probably stupid to show him but… she began to think as the air around her began to vibrate, I’ll do whatever it takes to find Eve and I need his help, she finished as her eyes suddenly opened and the trash cans around her were pushed violently away. The one behind her would reach the end of the alley before stopping whilst the other two on either side of her crashed against the wall, bouncing off the wall and the each other and landing behind the former officer as they rolled about. She would then let out another breath as she averted her gaze, looking to the ground with a melancholic expression. ”Much like that Sephiroth fellow and the others you mentioned, I’m a monster too and have strange powers. I only received them after the Heartless invasion so I don’t know to what extent these powers can be used but thus far I only have three abilities I can use, the other two not as easy to demonstrate without garnering attention. This may produce the opposite effect of you trusting me but this was going to get out one way or the other at some point and I figured it was best you find out now,” she explained as she sighed lightly and brought her gaze back, a confident look replacing the earlier melancholic expression, ”I assure you though, I have full control over this power and won’t hurt any of your friends or colleagues with it! I will also do whatever is necessary to find Rufus and the rest of the Turks and I will not betray your trust!” she finished, her tone strong and confident throughout. Despite the confidence resounding in her voice, she couldn’t help but feel a little embarrassed at the sudden outburst (not that she was shouting but still). I hope I didn’t come on too strong with that speech… she began to think, recalling a certain memory regarding her first day on the job, Although I think I gave that same tone to the commander when he used to like me so maybe Tseng will too?

Tseng kept an eye on the young girl as she listened to his story. The director doubted that she would fully believe everything he had said, since he left out some of the President's actions that really made him enemies. But, it was something he felt was right at the time. He was immature and unaware of the consequences of his actions. But, Tseng truly believed he had changed. He wanted to try and express this to people. Maybe then Rufus could finally begin to open up instead of being so locked up inside.
When Tseng mentioned the previous assassinations, Aya took a bit more interest than before. But, he couldn't blame her. It was part of his past, even if he wasn't directly involved in all of them. It was a wrong that would be righted. However, no need to dwell on that past. As Aya accepted the materia, she rolled it around, examining it a bit closer before handing it back. The turk nodded and placed it back into it's place before holstering the gun once more.
Aya began to speak when Tseng finished. "Yes, it is simply the tip." That's when she thanked him for being honest and told him that she hadn't been completely honest. It didn't surprise the Turk. However, the way she was talking now, it did worry him. What could she be hiding? He calmly followed after her down the alley, unsure why they needed to be so secluded.
She stopped near some cans... and they suddenly shot off in different directions. A bit of surprised appeared on the turk's face as it happened, watching Aya as she began to explain herself. She compared herself to Sephiroth, wrongly, and said she was much like a monster. She then asserted herself and explained she had full control and wouldn't betray him.
"It's good to know you can take care of yourself. You probably obtained them to protect yourself from these heartless. Now I don't have to worry you've gotten yourself killed." Tseng nodded in approval. "And if you have control, I don't need to worry at all." There was something about her that Tseng approved of. It was odd. He never trusted anyone. Maybe he was just desperate... maybe.

With her powers now having been witnessed, it was no surprise that Tseng was a bit startled at the sudden display, Aya looking away for the moment with a frown. She assured him she had control but in the back of her head she couldn’t help but have a little bit of doubt. To trust someone with powers like that was incredibly difficult for a normal person and aside from the Materia that he possessed, Tseng was a normal human. Yes, his body was fragile, his bones brittle, and he didn’t have any powers like super strength or what have you. It was hard to believe that any normal person could understand let alone trust her. Thus when his words reached her ears she couldn’t help but smile softly as she returned her gaze to him, a kind and warm expression in her eyes. Maybe he was lying to her, maybe he was simply telling her what she wanted to hear, maybe he just didn’t truly know how scary her powers were but at the moment Aya felt unbelievably at ease. Ever since receiving these powers she had felt so alien to others whether they knew about them or not. It was hard to swallow; she didn’t want to believe that she couldn’t return to a normal life but she always felt that was the case. Yet here she was, standing in alley just having showed someone her frightening powers and said person seeming indifferent about them. In fact, if anything he was glad she had them as he wouldn’t have to be concerned for her safety in the slightest. ”Thank you… I won’t disappoint you,” she started as she let out a deep breath, shaking her head as her facial expression returned to normal. It was at that point she would raise her right hand in a salute, winking at Tseng as she grinned brightly. ”Aya Brea reporting for duty sir! I’m ready to take my first assignment and assure you I will find out the President’s, Reno’s, Elena’s, and Rude’s whereabouts as soon as possible! she exclaimed, her enthusiasm second to none even if she didn’t shout. Why she was doing this would probably be a question on Tseng’s mind but one she wouldn’t answer even if he asked. It was simply to give herself confidence and to remind herself that she now had an ally to rely on in time of need. How reliable said ally would be was an unanswered question but she didn’t fret about it. As Tseng had said himself, with the powers she had she could certainly take care of herself and Aya wasn’t weak before she got her powers anyway. Thus without a moment’s notice, Aya would snicker lightly as she stood at ease before walking toward Tseng, stopping as she stood at his right side. ”At any rate I think I’ve held you up long enough now and since we can contact each other easily now it’s probably best we got a move on,” she started, glancing toward him with a bit of a smirk on her face, ”lost people won’t find themselves after all right?” she asked rhetorically as she took another few steps forward before stopping, snapping her fingers as she turned back to Tseng. ”Oh and before I forget…” she started, waving to him, ”It was nice meeting you Tseng, and I’ll be sure to treat you the next time, she finished, before turning back and walking away, not having the faintest idea where to start looking for her daughter or the Turks but certain that she’d find them none the less. OOC: AYA HAS EXITED THE THREAD!
