Even with avoiding a direct strike from Bahamut Zero, the kid was still sent flying head over heels through the air before bouncing across the ground and skidding across the ground. The ‘EX-SOLDIER’ dropped out of the sky, landing nimbly on his feet before starting to walk towards his fallen opponent. He kept Ultima Weapon firmly at his side, just in case this was some sort of feigned defeat to lure him in for an underhanded attack. As Cloud drew closer though, it became apparent that the fight was indeed over as he had suspected from the air. The kid could barely move, shaking terribly in his failed attempt to stand before he collapsed back onto the ground and reverted to his original human state.
"I'm sorry Kadeo," were the final words that left his mouth before his eyes shut and he fell into unconsciousness. Cloud sighed, feeling terrible about what he’d done. His opponent was still just a kid, and despite his pride was still too weak to stand up against the most dangerous threats the worlds had to offer. Still, Cloud knew in his heart that he’d done the right thing. He himself had survived Kefka’s devastating Light of Judgment, thus knew the full extent of the mad mages power. If the kid was defeated by Cloud’s summon, he most certainly would have been massacred in a battle against Kefka. Though now unconscious, the kid would stay alive a little longer. He’d wake up to find that Cloud was gone, and wouldn’t be able to go after Kefka and throw his life away in a senseless battle that he couldn’t win.
Kadeo... So that was the name of the friend that this boy was trying to get revenge for. Surely his friend, if he had any sense at all, would feel terrible about the kid trying to go out and throw his life away. He’d be grateful that though he’d failed, the kid had at least tried to avenge him. Tucking the name away in his mind, Cloud looked over the boy one more time before turning his back on him and starting to walk away. At least now there would be peace and quiet, giving Cloud the time to reminisce and think like he’d come here to do before meeting the Masked Man in the Castle of Dreams. Unlike many others, Cloud was unable to sense great powers of Light and Darkness. Due to this, he remained oblivious to Night’s transformation until the pulse of wind from his bracelet let an unnaturally cold blast of air run across the blond’s skin.
“What?” Cloud thought, stopping to look over his shoulder to see a dark aura overcoming Night as he stood. “Tch,”, Cloud turned to face Night once again, slightly shaking his head in frustration. The battle was over, what else did this kid think he had to prove? More importantly, how was he standing again? The answer was painfully obvious to Cloud: the kid was diving into the Darkness just like he had all that time ago. He glanced at his wing, then back to the kid. He was making the wrong choice, and needed to be stopped before he ended up like the One Winged Demon. Mako Blue Eyes fell into eyes that were now yellow, and they narrowed as a darker voice came from the kid to taunt him. As the darkness formed new armor around the kid, Cloud once again prepared for battle by bringing Ultima Weapon firmly before him.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, but the Darkness will only cloud your heart and bring about your doom,” Cloud warned the creature, unsure what exactly it meant by ‘freedom’. Was this Darkness an actual entity without the kid? Well, he’d heard of stranger things... But for now, Cloud only assumed that the kid was simply overwhelmed by Darkness and wasn’t making any sense. As the creature announced the beginning of round two, it dashed towards Cloud in what was almost a blur. Though it wasn’t the greatest Cloud had ever seen, it completely caught him off guard when based on what the kid had accomplished before. It was like Cloud was fighting an entirely different being! He drew Ultima Weapon upwards to block the powerful blow, but it still drew a grunt out of the Imaginary SOLDIER as it forced him to stumble backwards. Before he could react, Cloud screamed as he was cut down by the powerful blades of Darkness that sent him reeling backwards before falling hard onto his back. Almost like an indicator of his health, the blade was now beginning to emit a brilliant sapphire glow. Cloud coughed, bringing the blade beneath him before slowly pushing himself back to his feet.
Gazing back up at his opponent, Cloud was at a loss at just how the kid had managed to become so much more powerful. These armors of his were obviously a full transformation, not just some sort of ability or armor. If Cloud didn’t start taking this fight serious, he could have some real trouble in his hands. In this state, the kid was actually a threat now and needed to be dealt with.
“I’ll admit, I’m impressed,” Cloud told the spirit, holding Ultima Weapon with one hand while his freehand began to glow green. The glow extended across Cloud as he cast Cura, many of the scraps sealing as they healed and Ultima Weapon grew more transparent once more while Cloud’s health was restored. “But don’t think you’ve sealed your victory.”
With that, Cloud spun Ultima Weapon over his head as a teal aura rupted around Cloud signaling that he’d activated his EX Mode. Holding his sword firmly before him he glared at the knight as his aura flared outwards. Without a word he rose his sword over his head, blue energy rippling across the blade as it charged before Cloud slammed it hard into the ground to unleash Blade Beam, the wave of energy tearing across the ground towards the knight with speed mirroring that which the Dark spirit had demonstrated a moment before. Upon impact with him or the rubble behind him, it’d erupt in a powerful explosion that shook the ground and filled the air with its mako reminiscent glow. Cloud stood tall as the light overtook him, bringing his sword before him in preparation for what was to come.

A mock laugh escaping his lips when he spoke on how the darkness would clouded his mind, "Awww you wound me by saying that, after all I am pure darkness," the dusk replied with a chuckle watching as the soldier. He was just enjoying this way to much. For many years now he had been locked away in a cave after his previous host died. And out of the many who tried to claim him and his brother for themselves they had only found this keybrat worthy of their power. Heck if the keyblade chose the kid his brother and him felt that he would be the best to use him. After all if any were to know about balance it would be a keyblader. Though this kid was still just a child, a naive one that that, so he often held them back in fear of their power. Though now he was calling the shots and he wasn't going to hold back. “I’ll admit, I’m impressed, but don’t think you’ve sealed your victory.”
The dusk spirit just chuckled at this before groaning lightly as he felt his chest in what seemed like pain. He shook his head as the pain feeling went away. Damn brat was still affecting him even light completely knocked out he was hindering him. "If you're impressed now, its to bad you can't seem me in my prime with this lame host of mine," he chuckled as he watched him heal himself, how pathetic the wounds and scare you received from battle were all part of the fun. Though he wasn't going to insult someone's fighting style not everyone could deal with the pain like he could. That was when his opponent began to glow making him smirk knowing that he would now be stronger. For now Dusk just stood and watched his opponent watching the glow coming at him from the ground. Dusk quickly jumping at the last second, narrowly missing the explosion, but it did help in sending the armored keyblader forward at him with an extra boost spinning his body before slashing downward at Cloud with a downward slash of his keyblade before following it up with a kick at his head to try and send him back. Cloud thought, letting the words that left the kid’s mouth run over in his mind. He said “It’s too bad you can't see me in my prime without this lame host of mine.” So, the boy’s ‘transformations’ were not his own, but were each a consciousness that existed within his wristbands and allowed him to summon their strength... They weren’t even of his own heart. No wonder the kid lost control, he simply wasn’t strong enough for them. He had no idea how to balance Light and Darkness, and used either far too much before it pushed him into unconsciousness and left them into control. A mistake, the kid would most certainly die if this continued to happen. It was now that Cloud made up his mind: he needed to rid the kid of these transformations, even if it was only temporary, so the kid could learn to balance the Light and Darkness within his heart. This would allow him to use the transformations responsibly, and not end up being tainted too much by one or the other like Cloud had.
The creature not only dodged Cloud’s attack, but used its momentum to send him racing through the air towards the blond. Cloud snorted, sweeping Ultima Weapon upwards to clash into the keyblade as it came down. As sparks danced across the two blades while they clashed, Cloud’s eyes remained emotionless and determined. This was just another fight, and certainly not one he was concerned he wouldn’t be able to win. He spotted the kick coming towards his head, and without any hesitation he brought Ultima Weapon down upon the creature with the first strike of Cross Slash, a sign of the kanji forming if it made contact. He slashed hard at Night from the right, before swinging as hard as he could to the right to send the armored keybearer flying back where he came with the final strike of his powerful attack. Again Cloud stood tall as he finished his attack, holding his blade firmly before him just as he had before Night’s previous attack. It was almost as if he was an immovable statue, a trial that the Dusk simply would not be able to topple.
“In your prime? Not interested, I don’t want to waste anymore time against someone so weak,” Cloud taunted, letting a small smirk cross his face. It had been so long since he’d been able to truly enjoy himself in battle... Ugh, what was he thinking? Maybe it was the growing Darkness in his heart, or the pride of a SOLDIER that lingered deep within him from what he’d absorbed from Zack through the Jenova Cells... He didn’t know, but the last time he felt like this was when he fought Kadaj in Midgar just before Sephiroth’s initial return. Maybe taking pride in his fighting, and enjoying it would help him be able to accept the Darkness..? He didn’t know, but he’d sort it out after speaking to the Masked Man once more. For now, it was time to end this.

The sparks flying from their collision. Sure he wasn't at his prime, but that wouldn't ruin his fun. He enjoyed clashing blade with a strong opponent, he loved the struggle behind trying to beat your opponent down. It was all just so exciting, the excitement in his eyes could easily be seen. As he aimed his kick the blond hair man blocked it with a slash of his blade. Thankfully it only hit the sharp end oh his leg armor so all it did was push him back lightly, the next 2 slashes hitting him in the chest due to his fulturation sending the dark being back, though he quickly recovered as he back flipped his body to go back on his feet. Some scars on his armor on his chest. Though despite the connection, despite being struck back a laugh would still erupt from the dark keyblader. He was having fun with this, perhaps a bit too much fun though. Not having a body for so long he had almost forgot about what it all felt like and he was probably allowing to many hits to strike, something that was normal before but with his host in such a weak state right now it wasn't something his body could handle. Not yet anyways, though Dusk still wanted to push it. "In your prime? Not interested, I don’t want to waste anymore time against someone so weak" "Not interested you say? Heh then I guess that smirk on your face is a smirk of boredom then," he spat back, the man's taunts to get him annoyed not going to work with him. Dusk knew how to keep his cool in battle, he enjoyed it all to much to be upset, besides he knew his strength and knew he wasn't weak. Though with that thought in mind a sharp pain came over him lightly making him look down as he brought up his arm near his head. Damn his host, now the brat's condition was affecting him. He shoot his head, yeah he probably won't be able to hold this much longer. Which meant he was going to have to give his last few attacks more if he wanted a chance at winning. Dusk took in a deep breath of air as he readied himself for another attack, the warrior spinning his keyblade before slashing it in front of him and getting his focus back on. He smirked under his mask before dashing at his opponent, he looked about ready to slash his blade from right to left across Cloud's chest before kicking the floor to instead slash downward at his right shoulder. After the single slash he then would have followed it with a combo that would slash his keyblade at the warrior slash after slash after slash until he could find an opening that would allow him to stab at his opponent's side before jumping back an reading his keyblade for whatever else to come. He could tell that the boy’s body was finished; it wouldn’t take much longer to wrap up this nonsense. Of course it was more than likely that the Dark Being wasn’t going to go down without a fight. He was probably charging up one final attack right now, to try and end the battle before the fatal final attack was launched to send him reeling into unconsciousness.
Just as expected, the final attack came. Cloud turned Ultima Weapon, swinging it to the left to block the slash like before but was caught off guard and let out a grunt as the keyblade met with his shoulder, causing Cloud to cry out as he was slashed several times in series before falling to a knee with the final slash to his side. He glared at the knight at first, coughing a few times from the attack. Though his blade had begun to glow, it was already beginning to fade from the effect of Regen. Still, Cloud’s weakened health was probably what was going to save Night’s life with what was coming next.
“I’m tired of this, let’s end it,” Cloud told him, slowly getting to his feet. He cracked his neck to the left, then right, before taking a deep breath. Then, without warning Cloud dashed forward at the knight, swinging his sword upwards with a powerful slash to scoop him off the ground and fling him into the air from its sheer force. Leaping after him he slashed again to continue the combo, an orange aura erupting around him as he shouldered his blade. The aura flared as Cloud raced through the sky at his opponent, leaving an orange streak while slashing at him as he darted by. An orange after image of Cloud remained as he spun on his heel and charged through Dusk again, darting to the side before again spinning and charging through him again. Twice more this continued, leaving five slashing Cloud after images around Dusk while the blond kicked off of the spirit to leap into the air above him. Removing the blade from his shoulder Cloud spun it over his head before he plummeted downward, blade first, slamming the sword into the knight to cause a magnificent explosion that filled the night sky with its eerie glow while knocking down the keybearer. Cloud landed immediately beneath the eruption of light, raising his hand to catch Fusion Sword as it fell from Omnislash Version Five.
“You broke my limits, and now you pay,” Cloud warned Dusk as he rose Ultima Weapon over his head with both hands, then brought it before him while its tip glowed with a brilliant white light. The second seemed like an eternity as he stood perfectly still, hand alongside the blade with his eyes shut as if gathering concentration for his ultimate attack. Then he charged, rapidly slashing at the spirit from seemingly all directions in a series of fourteen blows before he leaped into the air. Holding Ultima Weapon above his head, its top glowed with the energy it’d gathered from the attack before Cloud slashed across Dusk’s chest to finish Omnislash. The ensuing series of explosions erupted in his opponent’s face, adding an additional six blows to the devastating attack that would certainly bring an end to this meaningless squabble. Confident in his victory, as soon as Cloud landed on his feet he spun Ultima Weapon over his head before returning it to its perch on his back. Releasing the handle he let out a sigh of relief as he let his arms drop to his sides and he watched for signs of life in his opponent while the glow faded from him.
He hoped the kid was alright, he wasn’t trying to kill the poor guy.

A small groan then taking over him again, stupid body it was nothing like his old host. Though then again his old host was never this young when he and his brother granted him their power. The guy was already a grown adult who was already powerful on his own. This boy was defiantly nothing like him. He tried focus again on the battle as he heard his voice once more. Dusk quickly looking up to see the warrior coming at him once again using his keyblade to block the attack from hitting him, but the force behind it alone was enough to knock him into the air just like Cloud wanted. The Dusk spirit take bow after blow, every now and then able to block a slash or two , but it was all going to fast and his body was slowing way way down because his host couldn't take the strain of damage or power that he was using. The explosion hitting him dead on causing a small yell of pain. The spirit hit the ground hard on his hands and knee his body smoking from the force of the attack. Though he was still up and kicking. Well, barely if nothing else his body was getting harder and harder to move. The constant slash by slash on his armor hurting both himself and his host. He was breathing hard yet he couldn't help but smile under his mask. As short as this battle was he had fun with it. He was able to call the shots for once and not be held back. Well sort of, he was limited with his power due to the boy but he still had fun. He got up onto his feet as he looked toward Cloud. He allowed the last fourteen blows to hit him without a fight since he knew he lost, Dusk accepted this fact, his armor was cracked in many places though only a few broke pieces. Though oddly enough he was still standing, a smile spreading under his mask, "Don't care you say, that was fun," he weakly looked over to him, "Until next time blondy." With that said a dark aura covered his body as it retracted back into the young boy'd bracelet. Revealing the young keyblader completely battle damage. A few cuts were on his body, though by the look in his eyes he obviously wasn't even conscious. Once the hold on him was free the boy flee to his knees before falling on his side. Completely knocked out, and had been knocked out the whole time, knowing little to nothing about what had happened after the dusk took control of him. Though when he woke up it was obvious that he was going to be in grave pain. Cool Downs ★ And i'm just wishing i can stop

The knight had already been pushed to its limit, and now was buried under thirty two blows that made his armor nigh useless. As Cloud finished and he watched on, the words that came from Dusk’s mouth didn’t earn him a reply before he reverted back into the bracelet. Cloud snorted as he made his way to the boy as he fell, dropping to a knee before he gently places his hands on the kid’s eyelids and shut them.
“Don’t worry kid, at least you’re safe now,” Cloud said quietly, turning the boy onto his back. He was in terrible shape, undoubtedly going to feel the repercussions of his arrogance when he woke up. Cloud sighed, shaking his head. He hated having to have done this, but by doing so he proved to the boy that he didn’t have a shot against Kefka and hopefully now he’d give up his suicidal hunt for the jester. Still, he relied too much on the Light and Darkness to fight his battle. The Darkness had even just consumed him, forcing him into a pointless battle which he lost. If he continued down this road it would only bring him to ruin, and Cloud didn’t want to see that happen to him.
That left Cloud with only one choice. He needed to remove the bracelets from the boy, take away his abilities to use Light and Darkness through them and force himself to rely on himself for battle. Furthermore, if the kid wasn’t relying on Light or Darkness then hopefully he would learn how to balance them in his heart and help him find peace for him and his friend. Cloud wouldn’t keep the bracelets forever, just long enough for the kid to mature and learn the wrong in his ways. He didn’t know why he was helping the kid so much, but it’s what you were supposed to do... Right?
With a heavy hearted sigh Cloud reached forward, grasping the boy’s hand to lift up his arm. He grasped onto the bracelets with his free hand, pulling at them to remove them as he stood up. Now all that would be left to do is heal the kid enough so he wouldn’t be in so much pain when he woke up and then head towards the Castle of Dreams to reunite with the Masked Man.

His body looking more like dead weight as he was moved to his back. Thankfully though he was still breathing just fine so despite the harsh beating he had just taken he was going to be fine. Even if it would take time to recover since it wasn't like he knew any healing spells. The keyblader still didn't budge even as his wrist was raised and the bracelets were grabbed, soon to be removed leaving the young boy powerless if taken. Not if he could help it though.
Suddenly the light shinned on the light spirit on Night's wrist, eyes suddenly opening as he brought up his other arm to grab Cloud's wrist to make him stop. "I am sorry but I'm afraid I can't let you do that," a voice said through the boy's body. Again it was different making it obvious that it wasn't the kid's. It sounded a bit similar to Dusk's voice actually though just removed the dark tone behind it and replace it with a kind peaceful tone. After those words were spoken the light engulfed the boy's body and transforming him into the small wolf creature Cloud first saw when he was here. The bracelet now gone and out of his reach as the wolf sat up. Thinking that the blond man would see him as a threat he quickly put up a hand to signal him to stop anything he might have done. "Don't worry warrior I have no interest in fighting you so no need to draw you're weapon again," he said calmly to him though there seemed to be some pain in his voice.
Without another word he seemed to struggle to get to his feet, oi his brother really over did it with this body. How could Dusk not understand that this kid just didn't have the same power as their previous host and couldn't handle their power very well yet? Honestly to go as far as he did was ridiculous. He held onto his head in slight pain shaking it a bit as he tried to keep focus. After a minute to himself he looked toward Cloud. "Forgive both my host and my brother for this battle, I understand that there was no need for it. The boy is naive and my brother.... well he doesn't need any reason to battle other than 'its a fight so its fun'," he apologized to him the last part using a darker voice to imitate his brother as a joke, giving a small chuckle to it, but stopped as even the chuckle seemed to put him through some pain as he held onto his chest with a small hiss.

The voice reminded him of the dark spirit he’d fought off, but this time it was more soothing and relaxed. He assumed it was the Light spirit, possibly to start another battle in order to defend its host from harm. Cloud stood up, bringing his second hand up to grasp the blade just as Dawn pleaded with him not to fight. Cloud suspiciously narrowed his eyes, hesitating as he let his hands move from the handle and then crossed his arms over his chest. He could hear the pain in his voice, as to be expected with someone who’d taken such a beating. It was apparent they all shared the same body, shared the same pain. These spirits were likely able to handle it better though, meaning the kid would be a wreck when he awoke.
Dawn began explaining how what happened occurred, and Cloud nodded before letting out a sigh. So this was the source of logic within the kid. Cloud extended his right hand, placing it upon Dawn’s shoulder as he set his gaze within that of the creature.
“I understand,” Cloud began quietly, “But I think the kid relies too much on the two of you... Too much on Light and Darkness to win his battles. The Darkness could’ve got him killed today, if I wasn’t who I was. I think it’d be better if he didn’t have the two of you until he learned to better control the two within himself.”
The blond’s hand began to emit that soft green light from before, but this time it would consume the kid as Cloud cast Cura on him to help reverse some of the pain he’d inflicted. When the glow faded Cloud crossed his arms over his chest, not once removing his cold gaze from the eyes of his opponent.
“Don’t think I won’t strike you down if you attack, the only reason I healed you was for the kid. If you don’t convince me, I’m taking you by force.”
Unfortunately, Cloud didn’t know if healing the creature was the smartest idea. Literally just moments ago they’d been at each other’s throats as if trying to kill one another; it was taking a lot of trust from Cloud to heal him and expect not to be attacked. Still, Cloud was confident even after being healed it would take next to no effort to dispose of his opponent again if it came down to it. He could only hope that Dawn was smart enough not to incur his wrath again.

This body was in no condition to fight, and unlike his brother he was much more peaceful. He only fought when he needed to defend either himself or another, other wise he would never raise his blade to another. After he did his explanation he just watched as Cloud came closer and put his hand on his shoulder. Though he showed no fear, he could tell that by his attitude alone that he wasn't going to harm him anymore, not unless he attack that is. Something Dawn just didn't have it in him to do. He looked up at him to gaze into his mako-blue eyes with his crimson ones as the soldier spoke to him about Night relying them way to much.
Though he couldn't help but chuckle at his words slightly. Yes, I'm quite aware on his abuse on using our powers. And yes he does depend on the light and darkness a lot but that is only because that is the element my brother and I are formed from. Would you be having this concern if he and I were different elements and my post was using that rather than the light and dark? he question having a good feeling it would be no if it was the dark and light this warrior was concerned with. "As for my taking control, I do realize the dangers of that, and what he did and I thank you for not killing him. My brother is just a tad annoyed having been lock away for so long," he tried to explain his brother's actions on taking control of his host. Though he knew in the end that it didn't make things right.
Then suddenly he noticed the green glow around him, and all of a sudden most of his pain was gone. He looked toward Cloud who took a step back, Dawn rotating his shoulders a few times, and swiping the air with his claws to test just how much of his body was healed. It was still stiff but he was pretty much better, at least Night wouldn't be in as much pain when he woke up. He shook his head to his Cloud's words, "As I've mentioned already I have no intention on attacking, unlike my brother I understand this body's limits and even if I wanted to fight you I couldn't get the energy I needed from my host to attack once let alone a whole battle." he said to him with a shrug as he rubbed his neck a bit.
"And as much as I would love for my host to grow on his own and be more dependent he has no prior experience of fighting on his own, and I fear if we leave him he would end of dead in a ditch somewhere. I lend him my power for now in hopes he will begin to understand how a fight in the real world someday, you know that whole muscle memory thing, he replied about the whole 'his host would be better off without them for awhile.' Dawn had a plan, unlike his selfish brother, to let Night used his power for while then slowly cut him off to it until he got stronger on his own. "I will have to ask if you can just let us stay with the boy still, I'm in no condition to fight you if you do try to take us away."

Well... Perhaps he was right. Still, there was a major reason why Light and Dark were such a problem: they were after all driving the war that engulfed the worlds. Gathering his thoughts together for what he was going to say back, Cloud nodded in response to Dawn’s thanks. He didn’t deserve it, he was just doing the right thing. No one should be thanked for doing the right thing, it was something that should be expected of everyone regardless of the situation. Still, the spirits were being locked away... But why? Was it because whoever locked them away knew that the spirits were too powerful for the kid, or was it because they were trapped in the bracelets?
Regardless the reason they were trapped, it seemed that Dusk was adamant about remaining with the kid. But why? It seemed like he didn’t think that the kid would be able to survive without their aid, that he was simply too weak. Cloud could understand their worry, but... Well, after his dealings with keybearers in the past he knew they were not a group to be underestimated. He’d had to prove that to this spirit too, though for now... He would do as the spirit asked, with a warning. The spirit obviously cared about the kid, so perhaps it could do what Cloud wanted to do by taking the spirits away from him in the first place.
“The problem with Light and Dark is that unlike other elements it can corrupt them if they are relied on too much. That’s why the war between the worlds is so difficult to end,” Cloud began, getting straight to the point per usual. He didn’t feel like staying here and having a conversation for much longer, or for fighting to just do was he thought was best. “As for the kid... Don’t underestimate him, he is a keybearer after all. I’ve seen what they can do first hand, even without having special abilities such as yourself... He could hold his own, just like Sora did against me. Still if it worries you... I’ll watch over the kid from a distance, make sure he’s safe. Still, if he gets in my way... I’ll be forced to remove you from him and do it my way. Is that clear?”

One hand then resting on his waist as the other on his chin as to ponder what he said. "True either or can corrupt, the dark usually focusing on more evil intentions while the light can be used to just justify that their justice is right. My brother and I do try to keep any outside forces from manipulating the light and dark withing my host heart and we have no intention of doing such a thing our-selves. Its easier to use our power with a host whose heart is near balance." Dawn replied to him to try and convince him still that using his brother and himself was no threat to the boy. Sure while in their armor there was some influence but once released from the armor the two of them released him from any influences of theirs to keep his heart the way it was. Though he had no opinion about the war outside their body. Whether Night chose to fight for Light, Dark, or Neutral the spirits were going to support him. Though he wondered if this guy realized that fighting for neutral just meant that he was adding another fraction to this war that had both light and dark as enemies. "Sora?" the spirit couldn't help but question, not familiar with the name. Though if another has done it then maybe his host could, but he wasn't to sure. He didn't know the background this 'Sora' came from, but he knew Night's and he didn't want to leave him on his own. That was when he mentioned that he would watch him from afar to make sure that he would be safe. A soft smile appearing on his face, "If you did I would be externally grateful, my host has had it tough in life and I would hate to leave him alone. And I really do hope that our path's don't cross too soon I would hate to have to lose a body again," he answered him as once again he bowed to the blond warrior. "Until we meet again," with that said Dawn turned his body and began running summing his keyblade, once he had his running start he threw the blade into the air and suddenly his body transformed into that of an armored wolf running on all fours before jumping up. The keyblade's form transforming to attach itself to the armored beast before the keyblader took off to another world where Night could get some rest and heal up. They attempted to keep his heart as close to the Neutral as they could, since it allowed them to use their power more ready than one stained by the conflict. That meant that having a balance in the kid’s heart was in their best interest, and that they would help Cloud so long as they were within him. This also meant, however, should they be at odds like they were today that it was easier for the boy to be tempted and push himself to either Light or Darkness... More likely the latter, since Dawn seemed to have his head on straight. When the spirit questioned who Sora was, Cloud nodded them quickly explained who he was.
“He’s a hero of the worlds, a kid just like your host. He has no spirits, but have proven himself time and again able to handle himself,” Cloud finished and turned away from the spirit to look towards the massive scar in the earth left by Kefka. The spirit was grateful for Cloud’s decision to let him go for now, though how he ended showed that he was willing to give up the body if it became necessary to do so. As Cloud glanced over his shoulder he saw the spirit bow, giving him a nod in return before watching him run off. “Hmph,” Cloud grunted, shaking his head a little at the dramatics of it before the kid vanished into the sky. The blond turned his attention forward again, slowly walking back towards the crater through the ruin. Alone at last, Cloud could finally begin thinking about what he’d come here to let his mind wander about.
Cloud had already decided to abandon the Light and take refuge with the Neutral underneath the Masked Man in order to bring the conflict that had plagued the worlds for so long to an end. He knew that those closest to him wouldn’t understand, so it was better to avoid them if he could and keep his presence and intentions hidden from them. When this was over he could return home, and everything would be alright again. Until then... This was the path he’d chosen, now it was time to walk it. No one, not Sephiroth, not Genesis, not Leon, not Tifa were going to get in his way. Turning his gaze to the sky, Cloud closed his eyes and enjoyed a few more minutes of peace... Letting the wind blow through his heart, pulling away the tension before with a flap of his wing the One Winged Demon was gone.
To the Castle of Dreams.
