IN A SEA OF LIES.
A foolish villain
IN A ENDLESS CHAPTER | [atrb=style, font-family: Tahoma; word-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; background: #000000 ; border: 1px dashed #FF0000; color: 2f405e; opacity: 0.9; padding: 10px;] Even the vast, endless night sky was still a sight to behold blanketed under the small town of Edge. Looking up into the thriving nebula of the sea of stars, after Rhapsodos had taken wing to parts unknown, he couldn't help but wonder what else was out there not only among other worlds, but amongst his own. Both from the present, in which he had not had his sense of self having been consumed by darkness until recently, and his home world's sordid past. If Deepground had been a secret for all these years, what other secret had Shinra left to hide, and what even lay hidden lying in wait in the depths of the Lifestream if the Remnants and the Weapons had been but a taste? Not to mention the Heartless and similar lesser enemies, the origins of the Keybladers, and everything else he had missed since he had not been conscious?
With a faint smile on his pale lips, Vincent shuffled back inside the infamous bar known as Seventh Heaven, crimson tattered cape drifting behind him on an unnatural wind. Tifa and Shelke should be waiting inside after he had seen off Rhasphodos, but as he pushed aside the door that rang out that familiar shop bell ring, the establishment was... empty. The casual atmosphere that had been present when he and Genesis had been drinking a fine reserve of red wine was now gone, the lights were still on and the sign on the front had been flipped to 'Open' to obviously signify the place was still open at this hour, but the females had vacated and the bar clean but empty and devoid of any life. It was hard to tell where the former Tsviet would be currently staying now she appeared to frequent around Seventh Heaven, perhaps possibly with Marlene and Denzel now they were with Barret, but from the background noise he could hear behind the walls of the area behind the bar Vincent could determine Tifa was somewhere behind the scenes. Vincent closed the door behind him as he wafted like a phantom past the booths and tables, until he came to a stop just before the bar counter, feeling the cold wind rush back to signify the door had opened behind him once more.
That chilling breeze brought with it a infamous, unmistakable stench of darkness. Amber eyes of metallic red hue moved as he turned to look past the soft glow of luminescent lighting under lamp and mahogany furniture to see the familiar sight of an old nemesis. Yes, he had conversed with Rhapsodos who wore the same First Class SOLDIER uniform as this man, and they carried themselves with the same smug arrogance of untold power dormant within their very being, but he had not gained the information at first if the two somehow had a connection. All he had gathered from tailing Genesis and the unmistakable stench of familiar darkness he had been following was that he conversed with Weiss and he somehow knew him. And from the threats he gave him as Vincent had come into audible range, before both had split and fled the scene, Weiss was no ally of Genesis. But was he an old friend of the one-winged angel, both of which shared the infamous trait of JENOVA within them, doubtless of which could have any sort of connection where physical appearances could be deceiving?
It mattered because if Vincent attacked Lucrecia's biological son, if social word reached the ears of Rhaspodos there was every possible risk that if they had a mutual agreement together that he would risk an ally in the fellow man in the crimson coat... and that meant indeed the sign of a man with one wing was indeed a bad omen. But it would have to be one he had to risk since the one with the Focused Blade fighting style that he saw through the front door of Seventh Heaven could only be here to cause nothing short of absolute havoc, and if by having to fend him off in self defense meant a alliance was broken that would never have come to pass, then so be it. As Vincent turned to face the once-legendary, now-fallen hero of Shinra, his cloak draped curtained around his shoulders parted at the front to reveal immediately the nozzle of his deadly sniper rifle Hydra. No words or clever, sassy catchphrases were spoken as the gunman relied on pure instincts that had been heightened in caution, the flash and the roar of the Hydra ringing out as three bullets screamed towards Sephiroth. The gun fired more slowly than his handgun, but the shots were more powerful crossing such a distance between itself and it's target, Vincent bracing himself for the recoil accompanied by the hint of smoke from the discharge.
But Valentine was far from being a fool from his past encounters with the delusional abomination of the Calamity From The Skies, and he knew there was every possible chance Sephiroth would simply attempt to predictably block his bullets with his above-human reflexes if he in any way anticipated them coming from a hero that had shot him in cold blood, just as Hojo did to him many decades ago. Immediately while the Masamune wielder was dealing with his projectiles, the once-Turk now gun-for-hire dashed across the distance between them and immediately spun counter-clockwise and slashed with his golden clawed gauntlet from right to left, followed by an immediate uppercut and then a roundhouse kick from his right foot from right to left. Finishing his combo as he came out of the turn-around and now in closer range of Cloud's ultimate rival, he used his right gun-arm to put Hydra away and summon Cerberus to his hand, pointing the tri-barrel directly between Sephiroth's eyes. No, he would not kill him... he had prepared for this day for many years, but Sephiroth would not have the satisfaction of a clean kill. We was not good enough to be spared that way, and Vincent had other devilish ideas on how best to deal with the prodigal self-proclaimed 'son' of the dark messenger. He would die only to return as he had before time and time again, but he would keep his half-truth to Lucrecia all those years ago that her son was dead, it would not be by his own hand but he would defeat the silver-haired youth and protect the people and the world of Gaia.
That strength AVALANCHE had when they defeated Sephiroth all those years ago the first time in the Planet's Core, and again when Cloud's strength returned when he defeated him once more on top of the Shinra building... he had felt it returning to him as well to meet his true potential. Vincent had been training hard though all he had endured and experienced these past few years to have that same inner strength return again, and not just Chaos, his transformations or his equipment, but the inner strength of the light and darkness within his own heart. He would put himself on the line time and time again without word, question or the hesitation of a heartbeat to protect not only his friends who were strong, but those that had the potential to be strong of heart in their own way and the world they would strive each day to live in. Vincent was here, and while some may have wished he was here, they did not need Cloud. Vincent had shown his unofficial family of friends and perhaps the worlds, once he was stable and concise of will, that he had defeated not only Weiss and Omega Weapon but several other powerful Heartless and villains during his journey in harrowing solitude. But he was not alone, because AVALANCHE was here; they would work together after all their time of having fought side by side through thick and thin and any weaknesses between them would remain indefinitely and irrefutably unbroken.

Not a sound could be heard on a rare beautiful night the citizens often got to witness. But none of that mattered, not a single life mattered. No, this place was going to be ravaged like Nibelheim had been all those years ago except for one thing. He needed to find a certain spikey haired blonde first..just to see if he could even get a challenge this time.
His footsteps were silent as he sensed out Cloud's energy, each step leading him closer to the bar. A slight smirk etched itself upon an otherwise rather emotionless face as he pushed the door open, hearing the ring as well as sensing a familiar presence behind the door. In a bright flash of light, Masamune was summoned forth in his left hand as he entered. The sound of gunfire soon echoed throughout the tavern, two of them engraving themselves in his right shoulder while the third found itself embedded in the wall. Pain jolted throughout his shoulder as a small smear of blood began to make itself known, some of it leaking out through the bullet holes left in his jacket.
True to his nature of course he didn't once grimace or wince, or show any sign of pain really. He was a walking legend, the former Hero Sephiroth. Now..now he served the Calamity in the Skies, Heaven's Dark Harbinger. Serving as her sword he watched with a smirk as his assailant vanished, knocking him to the floor and leaving him staring down the barrel of a gun after a fierce combo from the possibly undead marksman. Pain of course once more echoed throughout his body yet once again he didn't dare show it.
That eerie, glowing Mako infused gaze narrowed some as he stared down the barrel of that gun before he vanished, leaving behind nothing but a flurry of black feathers in his wake. Angel Teleport was such a useful technique, especially when he could appear anywhere he truly wanted after using it...and this case would be no exception. Reappearing behind the counter he dismissed Masamune for a moment, using his now free hand to reach for his bleeding and slightly burning right shoulder, shoving his fingers right into the wound with a grimace. It took a few minutes which felt like an eternity thanks to the pain, which he welcomed before he retrieved both bullets from within his shoulder, grasping them in his now very stained black gloves, dropping them upon the floor with an eerie smirk.
"Impressive. However..." he began as Masamune reappeared in his left hand, blade now glowing blue as he drew it back, right shoulder throbbing slightly. He was going to still use his right arm of course..but he had to keep up appearances, make his opponents think they had disabled him..which they had for now. That is until he grew used to the pain. "You are far from Cloud's strength." Swinging the blade forth, four blade shaped waves of energy were launched towards Vincent, cutting the counter, as well as about three or four tables clean in two in their wake. Patiently he awaited..for just one of those beams to strike the cloaked man. All it would take was one hitting him to allow him to teleport directly in front of his foe to knock him away with one powerful swing.
Abilities Used: Angel Teleport-Sephiroth will vanish from sight, leaving behind a single black feather where he once stood, reappearing wherever he pleases on the battlefield. Cooldown: 2 Posts
Fervent Blow-Sephiroth will swing his sword to send about 3-4 beams of energy towards his opponent. If the waves strike the opponent, he will teleport in front of them and knock them away with his sword. Cooldown: 3 Posts[/style]

Post by Tifa Lockhart on Jun 13, 2012 16:04:46 GMT -5
Tifa had been left alone in the establishment known as Seventh Heaven when Vincent had left alongside Genesis for whatever reason; she presumed it was in order to escort him safely from the premises, and yet it didn't leave her any more guests, after Shelke had vanished into the shadows; she seemed to do that, from what little experience Tifa had of the girl's company. Left to her own devices, and having successfully cleaned the place up considerably during the time spent with Vincent, Genesis and Shelke, she went upstairs in order to peruse the condition of her own room.
She observed it tentatively, her chocolate eyes taking in all of the details from when she had last set foot within the room; despite the condition of the main room downstairs, her own was in fair better condition, with some curious additions. It had indeed been a very, very long time since she had been to Edge; most notably to Seventh Heaven, and she was surprised to see that something had indeed occurred within the room, most notably upon the wall; where once Cloud had hung the blade that the party had acquired upon defeating Ultimate Weapon, there now was Cloud's newest blade, the interesting contraption known as the Fusion Sword.
She stared at it for a long while, and drew closer, running her fingers along its blade; it had not been used in a long, while, and the layer of dust that had found its way onto it hinted at just how long the blade had hung upon the wall. It seemed to her, that, though Cloud had supposedly been here recently, according to the man who had identified himself as "Rhapsodos", he had long since returned his blade. What else had he taken? She turned to the bed, for the first time noticing the discarded raiments of Cloud's advent attire; she frowned thoughtfully, approaching them, and lifting them off of the bed.
She fought back a chuckle as she wondered what he was wearing now, as Cloud hardly struck her as the type to go streaking even on his most confident days, and approached the wardrobe that he kept all of his outfits in; and after opening its panels and taking a brief inventory, she learned that the outfit that was a mockery of the SOLDIER attire that he had worn during the cycle of conflicting Discord and Harmony. She let out a low breath, and propped herself up against the panel. What are you up to, Cloud...? She approached the bed, and threw herself back-first upon its mattress, and for a long while, she stared at the ceiling.
Her chocolate eyes attempted to discern any new patterns amongst its colours, and yet there were none. Shaking her head disappointedly, she covered her eyes with a forearm, and for a long while, sat there in silence. That was, until the unmistakable thunder of guns from below shook her into alarmed awareness. She leapt off of her back from the mattress and landed at the foot of the bed in a standing position, her hands up and ready to start swinging. However, there was no quarry within the confines of her room, and the gunfire had come from below.
She sprinted through the doorway, skidded along the corner in the hallway, and bolted down the stairs into the bar just in time to see Sephiroth discard the bullets that had been fired at him; a brief analysis of the situation told her that Vincent had been the one to fire. Seeing that hostilities had already broken out, she began to charge energy into her right hand, should it be necessary. She narrowed her eyes towards Sephiroth, almost ready to start speaking, to ask him questions; because, surely, Sephiroth had been the one to facilitate Cloud's disappearance; yet he spoke solely to Vincent, seemingly oblivious to her presence at the far side of the room, and his trademark katana appeared swiftly within his hands. She narrowed her eyes as he began to wreak havoc upon the furniture within her home, and she couldn't help but feel a surging rage towards the man.
She didn't speak, however; clearly the time for words had either been nonexistent or too minuscule for the two stoic men, and that was alright with her, for a change. She pulled her hand back, readying her Seventh Heaven, and hurtling a ball of flaming energy towards Sephiroth from her position at the bottom of the stairs.

Gaia. Home of some of the most powerful warriors that ever lived. Heroes and villains. Followers of the Light and Darkness. A place of constant conflict and eternal war. A world where Ultimecia knew nothing about. And yet, in the midst of a tornado of black feathers, the woman considered by many to be a master of Time appeared on top of a tower. Her arms crossed as she observed her surroundings with her golden eyes and a cold smile on her lips. Such a perfect world. There was no beauty on it. Just simple chaos and destruction, result of constant war. Ultimecia’s eyes focused on a small bar named “Seventh Heaven”. Something was happening inside and the witch knew it. She was familiar with at least two of the three people fighting within that place. A light energy that surely belonged to a Warrior of Harmony, known as Tifa. The Witch had fought her before in a previous war, where she served the God of Discord. She was a powerful warrior indeed. An opponent that Ultimecia would need to keep a close eye on. The other familiar energy was the complete antagonist of Tifa’s. Power incarnate. The One Winged Angel. Sephiroth. One of her allies in the Warriors of Chaos. Ultimecia was never fond of Sephiroth’s way to do things but… The circumstances were now different. Time was on her side. Time belonged to her. There was no harm done in stretching a helping hand to a fellow warrior. The third energy however, Ultimecia did not recognize. It was powerful. Almost as powerful as Sephiroth. A burning passion for peace. A wish to protect that very world. However it was, it could provide some trouble if it wasn’t dealt accordingly from the start. Even if Sephiroth was considered one of the most powerful warriors in several worlds, he was still one against two. That made Ultimecia smirk. Never before she thought of helping Sephiroth out… and yet, she was about to do it. She was about to favour the odds… to the One Winged Angel’s side. Opening her arms, the Witch gathered her energy to cast one of her favourite spells. A dark orb appeared in front of her, filled with millions of stars inside. The more energy Ultimecia was gathering, the bigger the orb was. The Time Witch then looked at the bar where the conflict was taking place. Such a small space to a fight that would soon become of epic proportions. With a grin in her lips, Ultimecia cast her Shockwave Pulsar towards “Seventh Heaven”. As soon as the magical orb entered on contact with the front wall, a huge explosion took place, destroying half of the bar where Sephiroth, Tifa and the mysterious warrior were fighting. Why be restrained by such a small space? The explosion shook the floor violently and Ultimecia opened her wings and flew to midair, watching as a huge cloud of dust and debris covered what was once the front of the bar. That wasn’t enough. Pulling her right hand back, the witch immediately casted a shower of crystal purple arrows against the location. Sephiroth was skilled enough to avoid getting hit by the explosion or Knight’s Blade. ---------------- Shockwave Pulsar - Creates a magical orb in a arc, filled with millions of stars inside. Can only target one opponent. (Cooldown: 3 turns) Knight’s Blade –Ultimecia fires a flurry of red crystal arrows against her opponent that can follow her enemy until either hitting her target or crashing into the surrounding area. Ultimecia can cast as few as 6 but a maximum of 24 arrows in one attack, depending on the situation she is in. BEHIND YOUR EYES.
A simple shadow
WE CAN FIGHT TOGETHER | [atrb=style, font-family: Tahoma; word-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; background: #000000 ; border: 1px dashed #FF0000; color: 2f405e; opacity: 0.9; padding: 10px;] Gathering back-up was going to take some time, more than the time Sephiroth took to teleport from his current location; fortunately due to the enclosed space of the building, there was only one place for Sephiroth to appear to take an advantage, and more often than not a teleported enemy appeared behind you. Vincent whirled around, and he didn't even take time to watch Sephiroth feed his own already enormous ego by letting Vincent watch him dig out the bullets with his finger, immediately opening fire while his opponent was otherwise occupied and shot six tri-bullets towards the Masamune wielder. There was no point hiding behind the furniture here as he backed up towards the door, attempting to lure Sephiroth out of the building before more damage occurred, holding open the door as Sephiroth spoke to mock him. "Then I should have no trouble defeating you." Vincent shot back dryly, no humor or expression following the reply, smartly flinging a snappy comeback at the fact Cloud was stronger than him and beat him on several occasions. However if Sephiroth was impressed that Valentine had hit him, even if he did not impress the villain once more, the man proclaiming himself to become a righteous god still bleed out from his bullets even if he put up a tough act that they so much as did little to him.
His assumption not to hide behind the counters and tables had been correct in being pointless; as he backed out the door and prepared to open fire once more, the Focused Blade's energy blades sliced through them. Vincent leaped to the side to dodge, having to leap into a corner of the bar or face backing out and getting hit directly in the doorway, dodging two energy arcs but getting cut and slammed back by the third and fourth. Sephiroth had grown in power since his last sighting at the top of the Shinra building, as Vincent did not expect the energy projectiles to curve and home in on him more than he anticipated, and was thrown back and slammed into the wall as Sephiroth teleported and struck him into the wall. He did not take time to recover from any traumatic pain that shot up his spine as he kicked off the wall, spotting Tifa appear behind Sephiroth and shoot off a new technique of hers as well he had not seen in their time fighting together, just as the front of the bar behind him exploded.
There was a ringing sound as the lights of the bar went out as the electricity was cut, then Vincent's hearing returned to normal from the deafening bang as shards of wood and glass flew past him, the force of the explosion throwing him to the back of the bar towards Tifa as he dropped to his feet and swiveled next to her. For half a second he considered Rhaspodos had come back to team up with his fellow one-winged angel, until he saw - and then smelled - a feminine figure of darkness atop a tower in the city foreground once the dust had cleared. "Who is it!? ...Never seen you before. You must leave." he spoke up, low but loud and demanding to the unfamiliar woman. Who was she, was she from this world or another, and what was her motive for joining forces with Sephiroth's assault on the city? His eyes darted quickly to Tifa, checking over her for a moment to make sure she has not severely injured from the blast, before his eyes had to turn back as a purple flash from the woman came before it grew in size of a rain of purple arrow projectiles. He reacted quickly, throwing his cloakover Tifa as he magically extended it around them, becoming the Crimson Phantom as his tattered cloak swirled and absorbed the bullets even more easily than Sephiroth himself had done.
Outside, all his opponent could see during the hailstorm of violet was a swirl of crimson mist; on the inside, Tifa could see along side Vincent the purple arrows that hit their location burn up and incinerate upon contact with the cloak as the Remnant's bullets had done when he had rescued Cloud from them in the Forgotten City. It seemed like Sephiroth and Tifa were not the only ones who had grown in power and had new tricks and abilities, and as the Knight's Arrow ended, the crimson mist dissipated as Vincent span his cloak back around himself. In that moment, he took a fraction of a second to absorb the fact that Tifa's beloved pride and joy of Seventh Heaven they had all considered a home at one stage had been destroyed, all because of a few villains who could not wait just one night to draw them out. Once the heartbeat of a memory had gone, in memoriam, Vincent continued the momentum of the spin as he grasped Tifa's arm gently but firmly as he looked at her with a reassuring nod. They had fought long enough together that now they did not need a audio que to know what the other meant, a bond between friends that could only be forged deep in the midst of battle as well-oiled as a synchronized machine, and knew Tifa trusted him with her life as much as Vincent trusted her to do the same.
Once she was ready and she accepted the boost, he let go of her in half-turn after grappling her, to slingshot her in the direction of her preferred target as a explosive projectile of rage. It was time for her to do what she did best with her flying fury, and he didn't even mean that figuratively; and that was to get in close-quarters and devastate her opponents with her fists. And for him to cover her from afar with a storm of bullets, and together the combination of a close-range and long-range fighter was absolutely devastating, if the one thing they had over their counterpart opponents was their deadly teamwork. The cold night air seeped into them all as the ruins of Seventh Heaven surrounded them, rooftop and beams gradually crumbling and scattering into the streets and side-alleys, Vincent feeling it seep into the pores of his pale skin as he lined up Sephiroth and the newcomer sorceress into his sights as he started strafing rapidly through the debris.
"Fly." I've got your back.
---
Hydra: Finished cooldown and able to switch back.

Well...not all of them missed. A burning feeling as well as slight bleeding in the tear of his sleeve was a telltale sign about two of the bullets had grazed him this time. Yet that wasn't exactly going to stop him, even if it was just a slight burn. Just as he wished, one of the beams from the Fervent Blow technique he used had hit, enabling him to teleport to the man and smack him into a nearby wall.
What happened next, would be interesting. Anticipating someone might first come to help Vincent...seeing as Cloud had seven other lackeys apart from himself who had aided in stopping him all those years ago, and given he wasn't SOLDIER's best for nothing, a back attack wasn't unexpected. The glow Tifa's Seventh Heaven emanated as it passed various table and chairs caught his attention from the corner of his eye. Giving Vincent a smirk he jumped as high as he could into the air, somersaulting backward, leaving Vincent to deal with Tifa's Seventh Heaven.
The power then flickered before giving out, followed by the entire building starting to shake which threw even himself off balance, sending him crashing to the ground. His own ears rang as the sound of exploding wood and shattering glass erupted all around them, followed by a presence he had not felt in some time, and a technique he knew all too well. He had an ally here...if you could call her that. One he had not seen since the battle against Cosmos' forces.
Glowing gaze traversing where he had seen the purple hailstorm of an attack come from, his eyes narrowed some as his suspicions were confirmed...as well as feeling a hint of slight annoyance at both Vincent and Tifa for not only dodging what he had hoped would cause a team hit, but Ultimecia's attack as well. "Good to see you...Ultimecia." he said as he nonchalantly stepped outside, Seventh Heaven crumbling behind him.
"I've gazed deep into both your hearts.. he said slowly, hand coating itself in energy as he decided a reunion with Ultimecia warranted reminding her of what they once were able to do. Leaping up he joined Ultimecia on the tower she was perched before noticing Tifa flying up. "Shall I bring the...Lightning storm of despair you feel out? Taking flight into the air, Angel Wing popping out as he spoke that energy he had been summoning manifested, taking on the form of a warrior only Tifa would recognize.
This Fleeting Flash, or Lightning manikin took on the appearance of the fierce and powerful woman, manifesting directly behind the strafing Vincent, Gunblade in Gun Mode before shifting it into its blade mode. Choosing to remain silent to gain the element of suprise, much like it's true counterpart charged forth with a very powerful combo in mind. Provided Vincent was caught off guard he'd feel the sting of a blade striking from his right as orange distortion energy surrounded the manikin.
That first hit however was part of a combo as the Lightning manikin struck four more times before her Gunblade shifted, firing one shot towards Vincent before backflipping in the air and unleashing another gunshot, Gunblade shifting to Sword Mode once more as she charged in for two more strikes. Army of One technique was powerful indeed...as was this manikin.

(OOC: Note to staff and those in the raid, I am posting in place of Tifa and breaking the posting order momentarily because she's put up a Vacation post here and according to the IM Raid Rules I am posting to pull her out IC with her consent. Any effect from damage Vincent should recieve I'll post when it is Vincent's turn.)
As the bombardment of Knight's Arrow at first appeared to subside, and Vincent seperated from Tifa to come out of his intangible Crimson Phantom form, it seemed like the witch had somehow suspended some of her projectiles as they came at a violent speed. As fast as one of Vincent's bullets, they struck her, Valentine looking on in shock as Tifa was violently wounded. Still in his ghostly transformation, there was deep concern etched in the the ex-Turk's expression as he shook Tifa and uttered "Tifa, can you you still fight?" before he received no reply and decided she was unable to battle. His crimson cloak wrapped around the young woman as he lifted her up, before the bolt of fabric bounded and flew away from the two villains present, flying her into a hole in Aerith's church before settling her on the bed of flowers before the pews. Examining her wounds, he threw a potion's contents over them, watching as the curative salve slowly did it's work. "I'll return. And now... it's time for me alone to save the world once more." he told her, and before she could argue the ghastly cloth surrounding him flew off into the night.
He landed as he ended his form's duration before the ruins of Seventh heaven, becoming the seemingly human known as Vincent Valentine once more, tilting his head to the side before straightening up and raising his pistol toward Sephiroth and his un-named ally as he summoned a strange statue that came for him with the beginning of a lethal combo. He was alone now against the odds, but the battle wasn't over until it was over... and the Planet Gaia's fate from plunging deep into the darkness now relied on him and him alone.
Tifa has left the battle and exited the thread.

The sound of the “Seventh Heaven” exploding made Ultimecia smile. The destruction and horror. The surprise attack upon what was once a precious beacon of hope in the hearts of the Light Heroes. She had destroyed it. Now only memories remained. And Ultimecia knew the truth. Memories were nothing but tricks of time. Pitiful attempts to save something precious to someone, holding them close inside their hearts. But, like what happened with the bar, Ultimecia would shatter those futile hopes and dreams. Her “ally” met her in midair. As expected, Sephiroth survived the blast. After all, he was the legendary One Winged Angel. One of Chaos chosen Warriors. “It is nice to see you as well… Sephiroth.” Ultimecia replied with a smirk on her red lips but still with her cruel and golden eyes focused upon the ruins of the bar. “I kouldn’t help but to krash your little party. I truly hope you don’t mind my intrusion.” Spoke the Witch with her arms crossed and a superior look on her face, while her sweet and tempting voice echoed in the air around them. Gaia was not that different from her home world. Maybe she could find something useful there. If not… this alliance with Sephiroth could bare fruits in the future. Ultimecia knew far too well how Time worked. She needed to be patient in order to collect the rewards of her deeds. Another flap of her dark wings released a couple of black feathers around her. For what she sensed, one of their opponents was taken down by her surprise attack. Tifa. The silly girl that opposed her before in the War of the Gods. She wasn’t exactly weak and yet, Ultimecia was proud of herself to take Tifa down that easily. Now the only one remaining was the warrior in the red cape, standing in the ruins of the now destroyed bar. She did not knew him but something inside of her made her more cautions. Sephiroth usually had no problems in disposing of his enemies and yet, the warrior stood there, looking in a menacing and defiant way towards both of them. “You sure have some strange opponents, Sephiroth.” Ultimecia said before opening her arms, getting ready for her next attack. “Let’s end this quickly, shall we?”With a cruel spark in her eyes, the self-proclaimed Goddess of Time casted yet a new spell. This time, three axe-shaped blue crystal were summoned. Her Knight’s Axe spell. One of the blue axe flew to the right, the other to the left and the final went straight against the red warrior. Her intention was to surround him. Attacking him from all sides at the same time. After her spell was cast, she waved her right hand, casting a huge fireball with a Firaga spell, tossing it to somewhere above her opponent. If he jumped to dodge the crystals, he would meet her fire spell without any further notice. ----------------------------------------------- Shockwave Pulsar - Creates a magical orb in a arc, filled with millions of stars inside. Ultimecia can cast as few as 6 but a maximum of 24 arrows in one attack, depending on the situation she is in. (Cooldown: 1 turn remaining) Knight’s Axe – Ultimecia casts 3 axe-shaped magic bolts to knock the opponent down. She can also cast a larger axe-shaped bolt that flies forward, bouncing on obstacles. The night sky was so overcast with a bluish gray, that it was hard to tell which was the night sky and which was cloud, until one realized they could not see the nebula of the sea of stars from below. The moon itself was curtained for the moment, the villains certainly had picked a chilling night to convert the world back into darkness, as a cold wind suddenly blew in every now and again. One of these gusts blew the infamous crimson cloak to the right, the ghostly cloak ever so slightly responding with the tattered edges drifting as if leaves on a branch to the gale, his raven black hair responding ever more slightly so than his cloak. Now having returned from depositing Tifa in a safe place miles away where she could recover, he stood alone now atop the highest point of the new ruins of Seventh Heaven in Edge, on a literal edge just above the bar on the solid part of the rooftop that did not collapse. Facing the villains on the highest tower there was in Edge currently with all the constant attacks by Darkness... the very same towering building of a high-rise apartment that Kadaj and Rufus Shinra had once fallen from.
As Vincent leapt from the edge of the tower and approached it from the street, no doubt giving the villains what they wanted by drawing closer to them, there was a flash of orange light behind him. Swiveling Cerberus around to point at the incoming object to fire, he was cut into his right-hand side with a single hit, then the crystal-like statue of a woman with a gunblade much like Weiss appeared to launch into a second assault of a magical combo as that same orange glow surrounded her. The embodiment of Chaos used his armor on his left arm and legs to attempt to parry the sword blows, grabbing her foot when she kicked to counter and pull her past him to swap places, but the gun shots and the sword strikes that followed were surprising and decisively quick. As her last spiraling sword strike landed and cut into him as did the rest, he was launched up into the air as he noticed more projectiles coming for him, and again when a savagely sharp attack came from above a slicing of three small blue axes in a tri-attack formation. One slicing across his neck and shoulder, another across the same area the statue's first strike had cut across his right hand side and one from his left, and the ex-Turk realized he had to do something fast or he would be defeated by the crystaline distraction.
Firaga came for him next, and this time the crimson cloaked man was more prepared for a more familiar attack coming from the sorceress, grabbing the shoulders of the manikin for split second so he could attempt to use her as a human shield against Firaga if one could call her human. A simular method that Sephiroth had used to attempt to get Tifa's Seventh Heaven attack to hit him, but he had made a crucial mistake for hitting him against the bar wall and giving him a platform to push off from with his legs to avoid it, but this time pinning the opponent's arms by her sides with his strength so she could not attack and defend him at the same time. Not finished, whether this had been successful or not, he used his hands on his shoulders and she back-flipped away to flip with her in a somersault and throw her weight off-balance, landing on his feet and with her upside-down let her go in a momentum-powered throw back towards Sephiroth followed by roaring bullets from Cerberus's maw followed close behind her from it's master in a combo. He was used to flipping upside-down and shooting bullets, as he had done many a time with Cloud's party and against Deepground, and this was no different as he spun and twirled majestically through the air before recycling the perpetual force of gravity and adding his strength to it to use it against her. Any bullets that did not hit her if she regained balance and evaded them in mid-air after her, Sephiroth would still have to contend with them and bleed out more if they hit him.
Three against one was hardly fair... for them. And Vincent was about to tip the scales of the battle more in his favor, so he had less time to content dodging multiple attacks and more multiplying his lethal bullet combos, the red orb of a summon materia glowing deep within the darkness. There was another gunshot, but straight up into the sky this time, almost invisible from the lack of moonlight save energy circles around the launched projectile and the parting overcast clouds from above. The lunar body shining down upon them all with clear moonlight, from the clouds a thick mist condensed around a single object coming back down, piercing through the glyphs it had left behind. The object condensed from the silverlit fog into a figure, with legs, feet and a skull grinning menacingly, before a cloak black as the very midnight around it to form the rest of it's body. A long silver chain clinked as it dangled precariously from a very damaging blunt object, which upon further inspection turned out to be a cauldron, and from it's right hand came a very demonic looking sword. Hades descended from heaven as a fallen angel, misleadingly from the heavens rather than hell or instead of Vincent's other summon, landing upon the rooftop behind the Chaos warriors. From there, it made a brutal but rapid horizontal sweep from it's cauldron on a chain which acted as a devastating and lengthy morning star, which swept in an arc to smash through both Sephiroth and Ultimecia.
As for Vincent? While the two had their attention on the summons, he began freely jumping his way up the building with a steely expression of determination and unimpressive resolve towards his mortal enemies, unhindered and watching how the self-proclaimed gods would fall into his calculated trap. ---
Cerberus: Bullets shot from Vincent's tri-barreled handgun, finished cooldown from last post, used again upon finishing cooldown.
Hades: This red summon materia summons the Final Fantasy VII deity Hades, a undead fiend wearing a black hooded cloak. Vincent obtained this materia from the Sunken Galnika, a Shinra cargo ship submerged off the coast of Costa Del Sol many years ago during his journey with Cloud’s party. When summoned, Hades can perform a variety of holy and dark element attacks (that will be upgraded in future), as well as abilities with status infliction. (All summons remain out at the most for seven turns until dismissed.)

Ultimecia hadn't lost her touch at all since they had seen each other last. It was like the days of Chaos vs Cosmos all over again. Luck just happened to allow them to repeat such with a former member of Cosmos' foes this day. Yet nothing pleased him more to see that his manikin had succeeded in striking the former Turk.
What he wasn't anticipating however was for him to use the body as a human shield. The manikin struggled in its foes grasp, trying its best to free herself however, it would be too late for him to do anything about it. Ultimecia's Firaga was powerful...and rapidly approaching. Between the gunfire and impact of Ultimecia's Firaga, the manikin shattered, vanishing in the same manner it had appeared, a form of pink energy really.
"Useless Manikin..." he murmured. Vincent's summon went unnoticed for now, that is until the clinking of a chain reached the One Winged Angel's ears. Still airborne he flew far out of reach of Hades' chain, finding Vincent to be foolish to think a sneak attack like that would work. Had he not taken into account that chains do make a clinking sound when moved? He had given his strategy away the moment Hades had moved the chain.
This fight..it was starting to bore him. As was this scenery. Valentine was definitely no Cloud, although the One Winged Angel had to admit he could understand why he had this one as one of his allies. He had an air of stubbornness about him, the one all allied with the Light had. Keeping on the move, he began to form a plan. Nightfall was starting to fall, meaning he could use the shadows to his advantage should he choose to do so. Or he could rely on Ultimecia's power to keep Vincent distracted from this attack. After all she surely had witnessed its use once or twice back when they served Chaos.
Hand reaching out once more, a small glowing orb of light shot out, stopping above Valentine as it took on the form of a small angel, wings flapping and sending down red spores. Contact with these spores meant one thing, and one thing only. If Vincent didnt' find some means to break the One Winged Angel's concentration he was about to find himself on the last legs of his energy, and at his and Ultimecia's mercy. However he was far from done here. He wanted to give the citizens of Gaia a reminder that he was still out there, and had just the technique to do it. Even Valentine would recognize this one.
Arm reaching out, his hand began to glow with a white aura as the Black Materia came forth, radiating its power. High above in the night sky, a red dot appeared amongst the stars. Smirking the entire time he brought his arm down, fixating his gaze upon Valentine and the extremely panicked citizens of Edge and the rest of the world as they recognized that red star and what it meant. It had appeared before in the sky..once when it was stopped by Aerith herself, and again in the fight against Genesis.
"Tell me...do you think the Planet can survive Meteor again? The Cetra Girl isn't here to call forth Holy to save you anymore. Can you smell the fear? Can you feel the despair, the helplessness within knowing everything you and your friends strived for is about to fall as this city crumbles around you?" he asked, fixing that gaze upon Valentine. Hopefully Ultimecia had kept him busy enough so that Heartless Angel could take effect on him.

Ultimecia smiled to herself when her Knight’s Axe hit the target. Such precision. Such a dangerous attack. And yet, soon after, her smile died as soon as her Firaga connected with Sephiroth’s puppet. The crimson warrior was more fast and agile then Ultimecia expected. Not that she was underestimating the man in front of her but… Such skills were on the same level as Squall and other Warriors of Cosmos. Why the wretched Goddess didn’t summon him? He would tip the balance of power in that eternal conflict. The Time Witch narrowed her golden eyes, sensing the energy that the warrior was emanating. Was that…Magic? No. Not from her opponent. But the Witch was sensing something very powerful in the area. Where was it? Where could the source of such power be? The cling of a chain made Ultimecia more aware. Something was there. And close to her as well. Flying towards a higher place in the blue sky of Gaia, the sorceress eyes met with the powerful creature that was brought forth to fight them. If she didn’t move, the summon would have hit her with a devastating attack. “So…” Ultimecia spoke with her eyes focused on Hades. “This is a Summon War, it seems.” She would never admit it, but she was amused by such an attempt to destroy her. Bringing a summon to fight against the Dark Warriors. A brave move. The Witch looked back at Sephiroth and understood, even with the lack of words, what he expected her to do. She wasn’t her toy or dog to do all the dirty things for him. Not when Hades was around. But… this meant that the Witch needed to entertain her two enemies while Sephiroth charged his attack. A complicated move… And yet possible. Time to bring forth her biggest weapons in this war. If her opponent wanted to play a summon war… she would gladly give him some retribution of her own. Arcane words were spoken from her lips as a magical purple crest began to form close to Hades location. He might be powerful, but he didn’t seem fast enough to dodge Apocalypse. With a scream of pride, the Witch sent the magic crest at a high speed towards the feet of Hades with a wave of her left hand, while in the right, a small orb of light appeared. “Your Mistress requires your aid…” Ultimecia said, tossing the light orb to a place near the location of Vincent. He wanted summons? So the witch would give him one. A huge roar echoed around the area as soon as the light orb melted within the ground. Ultimecia could sense the powerful and dark energy of her summon shake the very foundations of that doomed world. A powerful gust of wind releases dust in every direction at the same time that the anthropomorphic dark winged lion appeared in midair. Griever. The ultimate Guardian Force. Griever’s yellow eyes focused on Vincent before the creature let out a new roar, quickly casting Triple upon Ultimecia that began to shine like being surrounded by millions of diamonds. Now the Time Mistress could do her thing. While Griever flapped his wings and flew to a higher place in the sky, Ultimecia opened her hands and targeted the entire floor, keeping Vincent and Hades in her field of vision. “Let it rain.” She said, before casting Knight's Arrow in a even bigger shower of purple crystals that fell upon Vincent and Hades. Under the Triple status, the number of arrows Ultimecia summoned increased drastically. It did not matter where they landed. Houses, buildings, towers, Vincent or Hades. It would be a miracle to escape them without any damage. ------------------------------------------------ Shockwave Pulsar - Creates a magical orb in a arc, filled with millions of stars inside. Can only target one opponent. (Cooldown: 1 turns remaining) Knight’s Blade –Ultimecia fires a flurry of red crystal arrows against her opponent that can follow her enemy until either hitting her target or crashing into the surrounding area. Ultimecia can cast as few as 6 but a maximum of 24 arrows in one attack, depending on the situation she is in. (was ready to use)( Cooldown: 4 turns due to Triple) Knight’s Axe – Ultimecia casts 3 axe-shaped magic bolts to knock the opponent down. She can also cast a larger axe-shaped bolt that flies forward, bouncing on obstacles. (Cooldown: 1 turn remaining) Firaga –Casts a high-level fire spell on the opponent. (Cooldown: 2 turns remaining) Apocalypse –Ultimecia casts a magical purple crest that tracks the opponent. If the opponent is caught inside the crest, it creates an explosion over the field that can reach high into the air. (Cooldown: 4 turns) Summon Griever: Ultimecia summons her Guardian Force, a giant, anthropomorphic lion-like creature to come in her aid. Ultimecia cannot use this ability while in EX Mode. Griever stays on field for 5 turns. (Cooldown: 5 turns) Triple – Under ‘Triple’ status, the user may cast a spell up to three times in a row. ‘Triple’ status stay active for two turns. The Cooldown for the used spell gets doubled. Cannot be used for –GA level spells or higher. NOW THE DARK IS TAKING OVER
Show me where forever dies
Take the fall and run to heaven | [atrb=style, font-family: Tahoma; word-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; background: #000000 ; border: 1px dashed #FF0000; color: 2f405e; opacity: 0.9; padding: 10px;] The tallest towering building to stay upright in Edge was much different in atmosphere than the streets on the ground below; the wind at such a height in the night sky was fierce and whipped against Vincent Valentine, as he progressed up the side of the building in leaps and bounds. The sudden wind bursts changed into continuous howling wind, the current changing direction as it hit and wrapped around the side of the building, often parachuting Vincent's cape behind him. The overcast cloud continued on overhead above, still blotting out the stars and the moon, making it hard to determine anything in the night sky other than darkness. Valentine had been in darkness long enough now, under the artificial light of Seventh Heaven's lightbulbs, to develop his keen senses of scotopia. The vision in dark light watched as Hades was summoned ominously overhead, and as he watched the villains react, he could not have hoped they would have reacted any more predictable more or less.
As Hades was summoned above both the one-winged angel and the mysterious sorceress, it ominously clinked it's chains to gain their attention... but had it really been so careless to reveal it's presence before creating a sneak attack? The lord of the underworld, if it's flashy entrance of being summoned from mist, had not been loud and distracting enough? No, it had not made a mistake, for instead it had already done what was sent through unseen link from it's summoner and had carried out it's task. Was it a diversion, or had the summon actually intended to appear as Sephiroth's now-shattered manikin had in a sneak attack, the clinking chains 'mistakenly' given it away? It appeared as if both would appear to be the answer of this summon's casting, as Sephiroth now had a false sense of comfort as could be seen by it and it's summoner, which accompanied with his overconfidence would eventually prove to be his own downfall.
As the cauldron on it's long chain swept up through the villains, they would move upwards to try to avoid the chain, and the magical weapon would form loops within it's length to ensnare both of them. Sephiroth had flown out of reach, but Ultimecia had not appeared to do so, as Hades' chain would ensnare her and then pull her towards him while at the same time slice her with his Reaper's Sword in a flail and sword combo. Meanwhile, at the same time, the cauldron part of the morning star weapon was pulled back up and flung towards Sephiroth. Not as an attack however, as out of it had leaped Valentine, having leapt in during the attack against Ultimecia for Hades to give his summoner a boost up past the top of the tower. As Vincent rocketed upwards, he watched as Sephiroth predictably started Heartless Angel while he had distance from the gunman before, at the same time Hades remained stationary and took the hit from Ultimecia's Apocolypse.
The wind whistled past him, blowling his raven-black bangs and tattered cloak all around his body, also keeping tabs on Ultimecia as she summoned her own summon creature and it cast a spell on her. It must have been a Haste-like spell, because somehow she had also gotten in yet another action, shooting Knight's Arrow at him in a storm. Now was the time to act, and as Hades was pelted with more Knight's Arrow, Vincent zoomed up and past Sephiroth the moment Ultimecia concluded her long-range attack to force her to also aim at Sephiroth and disturb his concentration on Heartless Angel. He had not done anything as he reached out of range of the instantaneous Knight's Arrow and passed by Lucrecia's son, letting him realize what Vincent was doing too late before his health-sapping spell could complete. As Sephiroth went on to produce a black materia from his hand and taunt him in an attempt to share the feeling of fear, Vincent looked away from an upwards glance at the small red meteor down to Sephiroth with a unimpressed look, knowing fully well that the fake black materia in the progical son of JENOVA's hand was nothing more than a mere fraction of the behemoth of a calamity that had taken days to both be summoned and to descend upon Gaia.
Not only that, but with Chaos within him, he trusted it's judgment that it did not feel the same swell of Lifestream energy that Sephiroth had used on that day he had forced Cloud to give him the Black Materia to summon the Meteorfall, not to mention his past intel from Sephiroth's previous battles indicated the true Black Materia's full power was no more. Very high above the rooftop of the building above the villains and feeling the slowing of his ascent, the Ex-Turk began to descend back downwards towards the former first-class SOLDIER, using his descent to increase his interception speed as well as the speed of his projectiles, as he summoned Blast Machine Gun into his hands where Cerberus used to be and opened fire. The bullets flickered down at twice the speed due to the gravity shift as the blasts from the gun echoed and roared across the landscape of Edge, deafening even Vincent himself, the Crimson Demon aiming the shells that would plug into Sephiroth would explode and send him knocked back into the rooftop of of the building itself. The meteor plummeted to earth behind him as it would build up power, but the devil-may-care gunman would deal with it when it came based on his observation, as he was already deciding what to do with it when it came as yet another strategy slotted within his mind. "Enough, Sephiroth... defeating you time and time again will never be, but I've heard enough." he called loudly over the howling wind gushing around his lithe frame as he plummeted, with both his summon and the two warriors of Chaos in his sights to prepare for the next onslaught.

Cerberus: Finished cooldown.
Hades: Six turns remaining.
Blast Machine Gun: Vincent can summon this weapon as a attack, and it is instantly dismissed the moment after it is used. Unlike his Griffon machine gun however, the Blast Machine Gun fires at a slower rate, but with the advantage it's bullets can inflict Knockback to an enemy which can send them flying into a nearby wall, floor or surface for extra combo damage. Duration of Knockback: One post. Cooldown once used: Once per following post. Cooldown after switching: Three posts.
