Essentially, I want to know if you all are in favor of a move to a new site or not. It would allow members to restart their plots if they would like. It would be like starting a new save file on one of your favorite Kingdom Hearts to play it all over again.
Please post your questions and concerns about the moves below or via PM/MSN and I will be sure to answer them! NOTES:You would not lose any of your characters in the move. You're simply repost your already approved applications and be reapproved.
Plot threads can be continued from V3 as I will be keeping the site archives open to be viewed. However, you can start fresh too if you would like.
All munny will be transferred to your new accounts as well.
It will be a proboards site and we will redirect you to the new version incase of a mistyped url.
If your character has been approved on V3, than it will be approved for V4. However, we will ask the older members to edit their profile's coding to reflect the newer layout. Other than that, they will be accepted as is. If a member wants to edit their profile, it will be treated like a new applicant and reviewed.
The current staff [Selena, Terra, Shadow, and Night] will remain staff. That will not change. We are just going to be accepting application for the three opens staff positions. We are looking for a bit of help just to get settled in, however the staff should be able to handle that. I do not see the move as that difficult. If anything, it will be the influx of applications.
During the move, CMV3 will be open for members to finish rps and proceed to work the move to V4. After the move is complete, the site will be shifted into "archive" mode. This means that only the archives will be viewable and that no new threads can be made. This is so that members moving over may use their previous thread and plots if they would like.

So long as I don't lose all my hard earned abilities and upgrades, I don't really care what you do with the site.
Personally, a reshuffling of the deck to attract more members won't hurt and with the Plot Staff leaving, now is good a chance as any to get something new started.
But as I said, I'll be keeping Genesis and Kadaj exactly as they are, regardless of what happens.

Hmm... A new forum would allow a good start for plot, I suppose... but I don't want to loose my characters, my plots (and thread, kekekek~) and my abilities that I've earned... Hrmm... This makes it more tough to decide.
I would think for the newer members that are joining, this all would be incredibly confusing. I still have V1 and V2 also linked on my favs, btw, hahahah. -bricked- Anyhow, I'm not sure on it all. Maybe some shifts in some area's would be good? I don't mind to help anywhere either, if you need some help with anything... o.0;

I have a question. WIll the site be a proboards site or an actual .com site? confused memory 3 has been just that for so long, so a change might be a bit confusing. If it is going to happen, then I suggest that this forum be made to automatically redirect to the new site temporarily. Might be easier getting used to a new site for a some.
Next question, while it seems that we will be able to bring over out characters from here to there (correct me if I'm wrong here or further in), will we be needing to get our characters re-approved? This could be good or bad depending on what the plans are for the new site.
Finally, with this new site and the recent issues with the admins/mods from the important site information topic; will mods/admins on this site who are moving over to the new site be keeping taking those positions right from the get-go? Will you also be looking for serious help with the new board while it settles in? This question is more to understand what to expect in terms of stability during the move to the new site. One can expect that not everything will be completely easy because there would a move to a completely new site.

The site will be a proboards site. We are debating between two urls. One being confusedmemory4 and khcmv4. As we have done with every confused memory site, I will have a link to redirect members to the V4. - confusedmemory2.proboards.com/ - ExampleIf your character has been approved on V3, than it will be approved for V4.

We will ask. But you do not have to, Yazoo. You are grandfathered in, technically.

Well, I'm not sure the new template looks well with my old profile, seeing when I applied, he had four sentences for personality and currently you have to have two paragraphs of five sentences at minimum, I think? Also his history is rather short... I think most would suggest me retyping the entire thing... hrmm... -wonders if he should type a new full profile for Yazoo- Would make things look more neat, I think?
Edit: Still, I would want the old profiles and things remain viewable when (and if) we move to CMV4... Just viewable would mean already a lot.

That'd be completely up to you, Yazoo. I know that if I keep Larxene I plan to do a complete profile make-over... Mine's a bit depressing looking.

Reading what I see here - a move won't affect those with existing characters and plots badly at all. I know that moves with smaller sites don't work out well because you loose members that aren't devoted to the forum.
But this doesn't seem like one of those places at all. And I don't know what happened with your staff, but it does seem like this is as good a time as any to get that fresh start that a new site would allow for. Move or stay, I wouldn't mind either way (:
If we move I'm heading on over of course. I'm new, but I like this site, you guys are great ^^

I'd rather not have the move. In my opinion it'd just be too much of a hassle. Besides you already have tons of affiliates for this site and it's been on those top lists for awhile.

*nods* Thanks, Joshua. That means a lot.
It really won't be much of a hassle for the members at all. The only thing that you'd need to do is register and repost your profile. After you make sure everything good, you go back to posting.
As for the affiliations and tops sites, it would still direct people here, but we will have a link to the new site. So we'd have the old affiliation links from previous versions as well as the new affiliations with version 4. It would not be any problems at all.

I can certainly dig it and if you'd like to have me back I wouldn't mind applying for staff again. It be nice to start things over and I'd like to try and do what I did before and make the board a better place for all hehe. Whether I'd like to be a supporting one or one in regards to plot I'm not quite sure but either way I support a new site.
My thoughts aside though YX brings up a good point regarding the affiliates/top list sites... it might be prudent to talk to them first and see if you can work something out with that? I'm sure the affiliates will be easy enough to deal with, just provide them an updated banner but the lists might be a little more troublesome.
EDIT: Ah your post came just after mine hehe well if the top sites aren't adamant about making you have to build up the rank again as it would technically be a "new site" then yeah all should be good.

You know my stand on this already. If you move or stay, I'll come and if I can transfer my characters over that is cool too. Also I am willing to support you in anyway I can. Just keep me updated. =)
