While not quick enough to keep Roxas from sustaining some damage, blocking the attacker turned out to be good for another reason--more specifically a dual-wielding one in a shining silver outfit who had crumpled like a ragdoll. Roxas’s scream for his other was so full of what sounded like real fear that it made Axel jolt and lose his concentration for a few seconds, jade eyes knifing past a thunder spell until they found a pair of Keyblades operating on their own above Sora’s collapsed form.
The urge to swear tickled at his throat. Axel indulged it. If something had taken Sora--of all people--off his feet this early in the game, they were beyond screwed.
But he couldn’t think about that right now. Roxas was playing his role, the body shielding Sora’s heart, and the two of them seemed focused on clown guy in the sky with diamonds. Axel had lost track of the other target, but his first impression of the guy hadn't been all that threatening, so for the moment his focus narrowed to the girl. She was definitely aggressive enough to be a problem, and if Axel could nip that in the bud, so much the better.
His lips quirked in an unfriendly way at those words, not a far cry from the ones he once shouted to Sora. It seemed unusually noble for a servant of the darkness to want him alive when he definitely wanted her dead, but hey. Sora rubbed off on the weirdest folks, he wouldn't be surprised.
And then the ice hit and Axel really didn't want this to be an acquaintance of Sora's because then the kid wouldn't let him melt her eyeballs.
The Flurry of Dancing Flames sought to dance right out of the way of that advancing spikeworm of corpse-cold suffering, and almost wasn't quick enough to do that either. Reality jolted like he was just waking up and first blunt pressure, then burning pain ripped along his shoulder. "D--AUH--ghff--!" It felt like his whole chest had gotten torn open, but he knew that wasn't the case. It wasn't serious, but it was going to slow him down, and that's where ambidexterity came in--so once Axel got done stumbling back and clutching at it and just breathing long enough to get used to the pain, he shook his head with a bitter chuckle. "Cub's got teeth." It only took one swing of his good arm and the area around the two of them lit up in a circle, flames obscuring the rest of the beach from view and magma encroaching on the sand below to make short work of what remained of the ice spikes. Risky? Yes. But the sooner he got done with this one, the sooner he could concentrate on the rest with Sora and Roxas. He could only hope he wasn't wasting too much power here.
Eyes glittering and flame-laced chakrams in hand--he'd be favoring his left one but she didn't have to know that--Axel flew at her like a firestorm. "Let's see you bite me now!"

G Slayer noted that his attack made a hit. Also there had been more fighting on-going. He didn't bother with it all that much. He viewed over the people as moving targets and watched what would hit multiple in one strike. Not really bothering whether it was a weaker, injured or fighting target. He watched Roxas protect his other half and figured that would be two in a single strike.
Instead a spell was fired his way. A secondary fire spell, Fira. He didn't bother himself really with it and braced himself as the flames engulf him and the impact sent him sliding over the ground back into the tree house. After this, while still burning, he moved agile out of the house and over the ground straight for the beach where he jumped an impressive quick jump towards the two. Lifting up his massive gunblade, he started to make a downward slash. He knew that Sora would awaken again now, but he was certain that the boy wouldn't be able to move that quick immediately after having been stunned for a moment.
The downward slash was perhaps a bit of a gamble as well. G Slayer was entirely open for attacks without able to defend, but due to the force he placed behind his attack, Roxas was either going to have a hard time at blocking or having to evade the attack, which would be easy and even get him a chance to strike at him, but that would leave Sora there. The copy didn't see how Roxas could move Sora with him out of the way that quickly. Let alone also attack him at the same time.

As the thought of his most precious memory ebbed and faded from his mind, the sounds and cries of battle flooded around him, like he had been submerged underwater in the ocean and falling towards the bottom again like in the dream that one fateful day. All the lights and noises were faded and muffled, and Sora found himself hard to understand them, fearful also because he was aware that he was vulnerable to attack. His mind felt like it should quickly succumb into restful slumber to stop the confusion, but he knew somehow it was important to wake up, he just couldn't remember what it was. And as if it was a reminder in a dream that would jolt him awake, he felt something thud against his shoulder, and the scratchy sand rub against his cheek. He heard a muffled voice call for him within the haziness of his mind, and suddenly he remembered that he was on a beach, the island he was born and raised in.
Jolting back awake, Sora pushed himself up off the ground, as if he had been shocked back into life and took a deep breath as if he had just submerged his head above water. The muscles in his body ached and he could feel the hand of who he recognized from his voice as his Other collide into him, the feeling like pins and needles all over his skin. The haziness of his brain was defogging, and it felt all that more hard to get back up, but he had to solider on no matter how hard and painful it felt for him. The memory started flooding back of what had happened before he had been paralyzed, his keyblades orbiting him before crossing back behind him, azure eyes focusing on the man that had inflicted this bad sensation to his entire body. If there was anything Sora was going to do today, it was going to get back at the white-haired assailant for having done this to him, to his home.
But it seemed like he was already being taken care of, for as soon as he was regaining balance on his feet and his eyes leveled, he saw his Nobody shooting off a Fira spell with his keyblades at the corroded man, who had flown backwards into the destroyed treehouse from the force. "Thanks..." Sora gasped to his Other as he got his bearings back, remembering there was that floating clown off somewhere above them, and the sounds of another fight going on. It wasn't long however before the man with the large gunblade came sailing back into the battle wielding his weapon slicing down towards Roxas, and with the clown floating somewhere nearby shooting spells at them, the spiky-haired adolescent didn't think it was a good idea to stay put and try to block one attack when there could be two coming from different directions. He lightly shoved his blonde counterpart away from him and out from under the shadow of the blade coming down above them, using the momentum to dodge in the opposite direction as he regained levitation and floated away from the range of the man's blade, also serving his body around at an angle to keep both him and the clown in his sights.
The man clad in makeup and rainbow clothing had a long time to take the opportunity to attack them by now, and while Roxas had switched targets to protect Sora, he felt he should do the same. The best defense was often a good offense, even if it was to distract, and they could always switch opponents when the timing was right. It seemed advantageous if he and Roxas attacked the same target at once, but then there was still one enemy that was left unattended, which could easily gang up with the girl that was now fighting Axel. Sora had no idea why that girl was fighting them when she didn't look like she fought on the side of darkness, but then again Riku hadn't either when he did, and he watched as suddenly part of the beach was closed off by a wall of searing flame created by the flammable Nobody. He'd never seen that power of Axel's before as he felt the heat lick at his skin... more proof that you could never see the potential of one's heart - or mind - until it was on the line fighting for what they believed in.
Feeling the anger that his island had been desecrated by darkness fill his veins, Sora took a deep breath, suddenly stepping back and reminding himself that he shouldn't fight with anger fueling his heart like he had told Xemnas. That was what had cost him to be shot in the chest in the first place, and if he wanted to win he had to keep a level head, and a strong heart. Maybe accepting things were not always as they seemed helped him realize that, and he focused on the split-second situation at hand, as thoughts filtered away and battle resumed it's insane pace around him once more. He raised his hands above his head with his palms facing each other as Two Become One and Bond of Flame circled around him in synchronicity, using Final Form's power of Crime and Punishment to deliver a powerful magic spell, in this case the upgraded form of Roxas's spell in the form of Blizzaga. The power of Final Form would last for a short while, but the power of the drive form boosted the speed and power of the spell, as ice shards shot out at an insane speed like bullets from the tip of the keyblades as they circled and moved up and down at the rate of automated pistons above the Keyblade master's spiky head.
The clown would have a taste of his own magic.
This would be hard, and most of his friends had already forgotten about him, but... the ones that hadn't were fighting alongside him. And that had to mean something, or else they wouldn't be here, and Sora wouldn't even have the power he had. If anything to save this island, he had to believe in that. He had to have hope, because just as much as people wanted destruction, people were willing to fight for serenity as well. And as much as conflict raged on for either to exist, peace could not last forever, but war could not either. Even if it was just for a short moment in time... he wanted their island to be back to the way it was, the way he was born and raised on it, so that others may find the same relaxation and happy memories that they all shared together and made them stronger.
There were good things in this world... there just had to be people willing to stand up and fight for it.

After Voting on the winner, we had chosen that the Light would have won this battle. Three of the staff were exempt from voting so it didn't seem bias. If you disagree with the discussion, please inform Larxene with a well stated PM listed why you disagree.
The Light has captured Destiny Island!
Since Roxas, Sora, and Axel have won, they are allowed an upgrade of one ability each or one modification to they're powers and will be notified. Requests are to be PMed to Vincent. Congrats!
