Slowly, Zack walked to the edge of the cliff where his sword was. That is until he found it and took it back. His calm Mako blue eyes simply watched the sun slowly rise. Within thirty minutes to an hour, the sun will be fully up. "That looks so... liberating. " Suddenly, Zack let out a small sigh and started to think about Aerith and Cloud. Boy he sure did miss them. He also missed his old friend and mentor Angeal. Whatever happened to him? He slowly pulled his Buster Sword out single handedly with his right hand. This sword had been through a lot of fights. Today was going to be his most challenging battle of all time. "Embrace your dreams and protect your honor as SOLDIER" Those words echoed throughout the 1st Class Soldiers head for several minutes. For Angeal had told him that after a training mission. It was just before Angeal recommended him to be a 1st Class. This was the spot Zack wanted to fight off the darkness. He knew the darkness was going to bring someone or something tough. The darkness wanted this world so it could devour the life of Gaia. Time was quickly passing and his time was running out before the big battle. As long as he has his friends supporting him, he will always win. Hopefully, things will not get too out of hand today. (Kadaj you jerk.. << XD)

Yazoo moved a bit on his Gummi Ship. It stood still in the space that allowed travel between worlds. Nearby was his home world, he had heard the report of that it had fallen to darkness, but the one to bring it to darkness had been Sephiroth and Genesis. There was a thing that he didn't like, but it also gave him the chance for some research he had been working on. His work on all sides still continued and he expected Sephiroth to appear on the world to defend it in case one would try and take it.
Soon he could sense one carrying mother's cells on the world. He wasn't well able to figure out which it was as he was too far to sense the presences on the world. He had initially taken a far distance from the world in case one would find him there. Since he worked with both Light and Dark, and even had his contact within Organization XIII, he preferred to stay hidden from any conflicts that would cause him trouble.
From his pocket he pulled out his phone to check if it could connect with any nearby and noticed Zack's phone was available when he wasn't trying to connect outside to other worlds. So one of Light has appeared. He noted calm to himself and awaited if he could sense another one of mother. He was glad he had attained this ability back when he got surrounded by the monsters that had all been followed out many projects on Jenova. He was certain none of the others would sense him. Perhaps Kadaj or Loz can...

A great distance away from where the black, spiky haired male stood upon the cliff, admiring an old and rusty looking sword, an old visitor of the planet had returned after having sensed the large amount of Darkness having being gathered here. High upon the roof of the Shin-Ra HQ building, the figure of a dark hearted, black clothed male could be seen walking across it's roof, stopping after a short distance before kneeling down and pressing one of his gloved hands against the floor. ~This is where it happened...~ The silver maned male thought to himself as he scratched his fingertips across the metal surface of the roof, clenching his hand into a tight fist before standing back upright to his feet. This was where Sephiroth failed and Kadaj lost his life because of that. It was here that the Remnant met Aerith as he returned to the Planet. That girl in Pink... Didn't Kadaj see her at the Forgotten City? So she had returned to life as well?
Lowering his eyes to stare at his feet, Kadaj just stood there as many thoughts and questions entered his mind. Mainly that the world has fallen to Darkness thanks to that of Sephiroth and probably Genesis. Sephiroth knew this planet better then anyone else... apart from maybe Jenova, so it was the most likely answer to how Gaia fell. So what of Cloud? Didn't he even bother coming to defend it? Was he too tired with all the fighting? Sephiroth was initially eternal, of sorts... never becoming a Memory, always returning to haunt the ex-SOLDIER. Yet the 'General' as Kadaj had heard him being called before, was just as much alive as himself and Cloud. So what was going on? More then likely it was Kingdom Hearts, bringing life back to the Darkness to counter the ever growing forces of the Light. The exact same reason for why Kadaj himself, as well as his brothers Loz and Yazoo were once more able to walk freely across the planets and worlds.
Not that Kadaj believed that.
"MOTHER!" He suddenly shouted as he threw his hands up into the air, staring upwards at the sky with a sadistic grin. Kadaj beamed as he grinned, staring at the sky as if awaiting an answer from the Calamity. "I've come home Mother! The Planet is covered in Darkness, so I ask of you for some of this incredible power!!" Kadaj's grin vanished in an instant and was replaced by a more confused looking expression. Tilting his head slightly and having to blink a couple of times, the Leader of the Remnant's paused as he thought he felt something incredibly familiar. Lowering his arms, causing his leather clothing to creak, Kadaj's face lit up as he discovered what it was. "Brother? You've felt the Darkness here too?" The Remnant said in a more causal and quieter tone now as he nodded his head and chuckled slightly. Was it Yazoo, or Loz? Well Loz had gone... he was with Mother once more. What about Sephiroth? Maybe... Genesis? Well, whoever it was, they were too far away to make an accurate guess... and was this presence actually coming from the sky itself? "Mother...?"
Kadaj reeled around where he stood and glanced off far into the distance, over towards a cliff far across the horizon where the smallest speck of a silhouette could be seen. This was a very subtle presence as well, mainly thanks to the fact that it was so far away too, but the Darkness surrounding this Planet had enhanced the Remnant's sensing abilities slightly. Even so, this one felt familiar too, but unlike Yazoo or Sephiroth, this one was a 'Black Sheep'. Instantly, Kadaj's hands tightened into fists as he growled quietly a single word through clenched teeth. "Cloud..." Thanks to the pressure of clenching his hands into fights, his arms started to shake slightly. This would be the perfect chance to extract revenge upon the one who defeated him back in the past, especially thanks to having Gaia covered in Darkness. Clearly, whoever this was, they had come to fight the Darkness and return Gaia to the Light. No! No way! That wasn't going to happen and instinctively, Kadaj knew that Cloud... or whoever this guy was off in the distance, was going to bring allies. Who though? Kadaj just grinned and shook his head before raising up his left arm and staring at the red glow that started to escape from it. Tifa Lockheart and Vincent Valentine weren't going to be far behind, no doubt about that. AVALANCHE was coming to fight for Gaia and the Remnant wasn't going to stand here and let them do it.

The last time...they had failed.
Sephiroth and Genesis had overpowered the Light. Gaia was full of darkness. And it couldn't stay. Tifa just couldn't sit back and just let the darkness spread. Not with Denzel and Marlene in her care. She was the one looking after them. She wanted to be able to give them the best life that she possibly could. And more. It pained her so much during the times of Geostigma. When Denzel had been so ill and weak. Marlene seemed so upset also. Probably because Denzel had been so sick. And now that the darkness was back in the world, was it possible that those sad times would return? Things had been so happy for awhile. It just felt like everything had been coming together. But now it felt like it was all falling apart. Piece by piece. Something needed to make the pieces stick together. Maybe if the light could just come back. Things could be right in the world again.
Which is exactly why Tifa was going to fight. She had tried to fight last time and failed. But just because she had fallen, it didn't mean that she was going to stay down. She had so much worth fighting for. Which is exactly why she was going to fight. She had a reason to fight. And that made it all the more of a reason for her to. It gave her dedication. Inner strength. She just kept her mind focused on her reasons for fighting when in the battle. The people in her life. Her newfound family. Denzel...Marlene...and Cloud. The three of them, along with all of her friends, were her life. She would do anything for the ones that she loved. Which is why she came here to fight. To ensure the life of her loved ones.
Tifa was running to where the battle was being held. She could sense a prescence of darkness off in the distance. It was strong. And yet. Oddly familiar. Maybe it was someone that she had met before. Or fought before. Either way it made her want to run faster. She felt her heart beating quicker and quicker. She was anxious for what was going to happen this time. With luck...it would go better then the first time. And she wondered who would also be there to fight. Usually, others of the light were present to fight. Last time, it had been her, Cloud, Vincent and a man named Laguna. She thought that they would do well, but it hadn't been well enough. This time...it had to be different. The darkness had to be conquered. And the light...it needed to be brought back to Gaia.
Tifa caught site of a figure off in the distance. Why...why did he seem so familiar? Like...someone she thought had been gone a long time ago. Either way, Tifa picked up her pacei into a faster run. She wanted to see who this person was. When she was close enough to recognize who it was, she gasped. Was...she seeing a ghost? No. He was really here. Like Aerith, this person had been brought back from the Lifestream. "Zack..." Tifa muttered quietly to herself. She had known this man before. She had been the one to guide him to the reactor in Nibelheim. He had been with Sephiroth. That same time was when Sephiroth destroyed her village and killed her father during that same time. Not just her village. But Cloud's also. Zack and Cloud had been so close. And Zack's death, along with Aerith's had been one of the things troubling Zack. Tifa had tried so hard to try and make Cloud feel better, and not take all of the blame for it. Maybe now that both of them were alive and well, things could be a little better.
Tifa moved a few steps closer to Zack still a bit taken back. She cleared her throat before speaking again. ["Zack...are you going to fight for Gaia as well?" Tifa said as she looked around for the presence of darkness.

The world had fallen to darkness.
The sky was black, encrusted with grey storms clouds that flashed a rainless storm that raged across the entire planet. Just like last time, on the very cusp of the Geostigma outbreak, and the last time he was here. Vincent Valentine appeared on the ruin of a destroyed part of the Shinra building, having sensed only a lone dark presence there. It seemed Sephiroth and what could only be recognised as a clone of Sephiroth with crimson attire and a black wing were no longer present to defend the planet, making it all the much easier for the Light to take back what was rightfully theirs. The only person that was standing in their way was present somewhere in the Shinra building, and although Vincent could not sense the power of the one-winged angels, he could smell the distinct scent of sweaty leather and mako. He turned to look upwards towards the top of the building, and sighed to himself.
Why was it always the Shinra building?
He looked down, detecting a presence, and for a minute thought it was Cloud. But that couldn't be right, as Vincent knew only himself and Tifa were here. On further inspection, he realized that it was a man with black hair, and wielding Cloud's Buster Sword. His suspicions were only further confirmed when Tifa approached the man and spoke his name, proving it was the man only known as Zack Fair. From Cloud's story that he could get out of him, this had been one of his friends that had died before he had met him, which because of Mako poisoning Cloud had believed to be himself. But that was none of Vincent's business, however, as long as he was here to help defend the planet.
He was glad Tifa had accompanied him, and a faint smile threatened to tug away the serious expression he always held in the face of adversity. Even in the absense of Cloud, and although another man with a giant sword was present, she would always be where Cloud was not to be there for him. Vincent knew he could count on her and revolve his battle style around hers like clockwork, but there was another person that had come along to help them. Vincent turned another direction and saw Yazoo, who did not display any signs he was being hostile towards them. Assuming that the presence in the ruins was another Remnant... that meant there was discord among the brothers.
The question was, why?
Perhaps this was a good opportunity to find out. Vincent jumped up the building, scaling it within a matter of minutes. He knew he would be revealing himself to the dark presence on the rooftop, but he was not afraid of it, drawing his gun Cerberus as soon as he saw the back of the figure. The shoulder-length medium hair he could see from behind only meant it could be Kadaj, and that meant by now he had already sensed their presence to allow them to draw so close. Although this time, it was Vincent's turn to speak first, a rather unusual turn of events but Valentine was rather curious of the discontent that had taken place. "It would seem you and your brother do not see eye to eye." he simply said. Not a question or an accusation, it was a simply an observation. The crimson caped man pointed his tri-gun square at the back of the avatar of the one-winged angel, eager to hear his reply before they went back into the deadly dance that was combat once more.

Zack felt several more appearances appearing. All these appearances felt rather close to him. The darkness had already summoned its fighter while the other warriors of light had just shown up. Then he herd a familiar voice. It was Tifa. He had met her a long time ago when he was in Soldier still. Zack slowly turned around with his Buster now somewhat pointed for Tifa.
"I will always fight to protect this planet." Zack always wanted this planet to be safe and well protected. Sure he cannot stop all the bad things that would or even could happen. Though he could try his best to stop the darkness. He was going to use all his knowledge and abilities to win this fight. "It seems everyone is here." Zack said softly. However, the opponent was just way to far away. Fair could also sense that Vince was by Kadaj now.
"We best better head to the town. That's where the fun happens." Zack said with a laugh. Even till this very day he loved fighting. Ever since he joined Soldier, he loved fighting. Zack slowly walked passed Tifa and made his way down the cliff. He made sure he held onto his Buster Sword. The ex Soldier was never going to leave his newly refurnished sword again.
"We can make it in twenty minutes on foot." If they had wheels they could make it to the town in a matter of minutes. Unfortunately, the 'bad guy' was not just going to come over by them. Zack would laugh if Kadaj would just come to them. Sadly, it works more in the darkness favor. By walking on foot they would lose some energy. Walking slowly drains a person of their energy.

Yazoo stood in his normal attire in his Gummi Ship and entered in some data to move towards Gaia. He knew Zack and Kadaj were there, but he needed to know a few things more. Sephiroth and Genesis had taken the world to darkness. Genesis had created copies he had found from files and from Deepground. The bigger problem was Sephiroth, Kadaj, Loz and himself. He needed some answers and he had searched for very long now and perhaps it was time for this search to end. Organization XIII had once messed with his mind and he would be glad to find an answer to it all.
After the data was entered the Remnant flashed up and vanished. He reappeared on the Planet nearby Zack and Tifa. He could also sense Vincent. Zack, Tifa and Vincent. He thought to himself and nodded in Zack's direction. The remnant followed towards where he sensed Kadaj, his brother, and Vincent. Apparently there wasn't any other of darkness, but he was certain that Kadaj knew what he begun. And there wasn't exactly just him... Perhaps he has this planned out well. Yazoo smirked a bit to himself and continued calm.
A former first class member of SOLDIER, a former Turk, a martial artist and a former enemy gunner against an avatar of Sephiroth and leader of the three Remnants of Mother's Legacy. Perhaps this battle would be greater than one would believe. He suspected Zack to take on Kadaj. Hopefully Tifa nor Vincent would be attack him all of a sudden and focus on the battle ahead of them. He had tried to make clear to both of them at times that he was on their side, but neither was believing him it seemed. They kept most likely an eye on him.

Turquoise eyes glowed with a sadistic, vicious expression as they stared intently at the now bright red glow escaping from the Remnant's left forearm. A red aura started to seep out from the leather clad arm, emanating from the glowing red light itself until this strange light was able to physically form itself into a manifestation, which quickly snaked around Kadaj's arm heading up to his open palm. The silver-haired man threw his arm towards the dark, cloudy sky and watched with excitement as the summoning moved into stage two. The strange manifestation of light suddenly bolted up into the sky and vanished into the cloud, leaving behind a long, slowly fading trail of red light. Zack, Tifa and now Yazoo would have easily spotted the summoning light as he shot up from the roof of Shin-Ra HQ before disappearing into the clouds. Yet nothing seemed to happen for a couple of minutes, which was convenient for the Remnant since an old 'friend' had decided to pay him a visit before the war started. And this war, wasn't going to be last time, nor like what happened on Destiny Island.
The Light had to die!
Lowering his leather clad arm back to his side, Kadaj lowered his head before turning and glaring through his hair towards the figure of Vincent Valentine. Smirking through the veil of silver hair, Kadaj slowly turned around fully till he was facing the ex-Turk head on. "It's so wonderful to see you again too!" The leader of the Remnant's jeered as he spread his arms out either side of him, as if inviting the ex-Turk to step closer and not act so hostile. Though Kadaj's facial expression clearly told that if Vincent stepped within range, then he'd have a Souba to deal with. Not that the crimson-cloaked man would, thanks to that three-barreled gun he always carried around with him, which was already being pointed in Kadaj's direction. The Remnant said nothing as he listened to the wind whipping through the cloak Vincent had draped over his shoulders. Kadaj eyed him in silence as he felt the dark-toned words reach his ears. Lowering his arms but still holding the same, evil expression across his face, Kadaj twisted his body to one side and stared off across the horizon, straight towards Zack's group.
"Brother? And which one would that be? Sephiroth, or Cloud?" Kadaj answered, his tone changing to sound like he didn't know what Vincent was talking about. It was true though. Kadaj was furious and it was at Yazoo and Yazoo alone. It seemed the rumours of him teaming with the Light were true, thus a punishment was needed. Kadaj could see the proof all for himself. Three tiny black silhouettes way off in the distance, on a small cliff that Kadaj remembered parking his motorcycle on, kicking that old, rusted sword out the ground. Tifa was there, and someone who felt like Cloud... but it wasn't him. It just wasn't him... And finally, Yazoo had arrived and was with Zack and Tifa. Kadaj's eyes narrowed as he wondered whether or not his brother had grown strong enough to sense other presences and if so, whether or not he'd feel Kadaj's own Darkness lingering about. The three of them were just too far away to make sure with just visuals alone, and the Darkness of Gaia itself was clouding things slightly. Kadaj said nothing as he turned back around to face Vincent once more, staring at the gun before making and locking eye contact with the ex-Turk.
"And what of you? You come out all this way to face me alone, yet Tifa and others are out there ready and willing to fight alongside you. Do you not even trust your comrades?" Kadaj quickly turned his body slightly and flicked his thumb out over his shoulder, off in the general direction where Tifa and the others were. The didn't matter either way, since Kadaj was just buying time, stalling for the next stage of the summoning to begin. That didn't take too long either, since only a short moment after the silver-haired man finished speaking, an almost deafening roar escaped down from the clouds right above the Shin-Ra HQ. The roar echoed across the city of Midgar as well as across the plains surrounding the massive city. Surely the roar would have been heard by Yazoo and the others. Kadaj just smirked at Vincent, as the roar was probably familiar to him having heard it before back in the past. The Remnant was here to defend Gaia from the Light... but he never said he'd be here on his own.
Death to the Light!

Tifa looked a bit surprised when it looked like Zack was pointing the Buster Sword at her. Maybe he didn't remember her. Its not like she had been the nicest to him during the time when they met. In the beginning she had, when she was acting as the Tour Guide. But after all that had happened with Sephiroth and what not, she was angry. Not paticualarly angry at him. Just angry at the situation as a whole. And when people were angry they would often say things that they didn't mean. Tifa was true with this. She told Zack of everything that she hated. Shinra, SOLDIER, Sephiroth and even him {as seen in the Last Order anime}. But Tifa didn't hate Zack at all. She saw him as a friend still.
Tifa listened as Zack answered her question. And she couldn't help but smile lightly. He still spoke as if he was aligned with SOLDIER. Maybe things like that never went away. He still had the honor and committment that a SOLDIER had. And she also smiled because...she saw so much of Cloud in him. Zack had been Cloud's mentor after all. Its no surprise that certain aspects of Zack continued to live on through Cloud. Tifa knew that Cloud was supposed to be the living legacy of Zack, when he had died. And Zack was just as dedicated to saving the planet. Just like Cloud had been. Tifa got so carried away in her thoughts of Zack, that she almost forgot of the battle that was moments away from happening. She snapped out of it when Zack spoke to her again.
"Yeah...guess it looks that way." Tifa said. She looked off in the distance. Her and Zack were pretty far out. She squinted her eyes and managed to make something out. She saw a man clad in red, perched on top of some of the ruins. Tifa was able to recognize who this was immediately. She was so glad that he was here. It was nice to know that she wasn't going to be in this all alone. She always seemed to be running into him in battles. And she was more than happy to see Vincent in the battles. Tifa knew of Vincent's strength. He was a crucial ally to have in the battles that they were in. Plus it was always nice to be able to fight with a friend, as opposed to complete strangers. And so far Tifa had two of her frineds with her.
Tifa watched Zack walk past her saying that they should probably head toward the town. She nodded her head and started to walk alongside him. Zack was calculating the time that it would take to walk. Tifa wondered if she should start to run or not. Odds are that running would wear her out. And what about Vincent. What if the opponent came to him first. Would he be able to handle it on his own. Tifa didn't want to leave Vincent with all of the work. They were a team after all. They were supposed to help eachother. Work together with unity and be able to pull a victory out. Or at least strive for a victory.
Tifa walked quietly alongside Zack. She watched someone appear nearby them. She saw key physical factors. Long silver hair and wearing all black leather. Yazoo. Was he going to be the enemy here. Tifa was tempted to call him out for answers, but then she watched as he nodded at Zack and just walked away. What...what was he doing? He was aligned with the Remnant Brothers. They were dark, were they not? And Tifa and Zack were for the light. So why was it that Yazoo simply walked away without even trying to attack Zack or herself. He probably had the upperhand also. He could have easily done a surprise attack on them. And Tifa wouldn't have been expecting it as much. But he was just walking away. Something wasn't right in this picture.
Tifa looked to Zack, wondering if he knew Yazoo. She didn't think that the two had met before. Zack hadn't been alive during the times of geostigma. Tifa and the rest of AVALANCHE had put up a great fight against the Remnants. Had Yazoo jumped ships? Was he now here for the light as opposed to the Darkness? But...why would he do that? Tifa knew that his brothers, Kadaj and Loz were both for the darkness without a doubt. Yazoo had been with them for sometime, looking for 'Mother'. Why would he abandon his brothers like that? Tifa wasn't sure exactly what was going on here. But she didn't like it.

"Wish I could say the same."
As Vincent gave his simple reply to Kadaj's welcome, he watched as the villain confidently flexed his arms out on either side of his body, and wondered if another monologue were to come. Because he had seen the launching of the magic into the sky, the red glow and the same gesture he had seen countless times during his first adventure with Cloud, that it had been summon materia. The parting of the clouds was similar to his memory too, but Vincent wasn't ready to assume it was the same summon yet, and he turned his crimson eyes back to focus on the Remnant. Yes, if there was a monologue, it would be of Kadaj gloating before he watched the chaos of the summon unfold on the already-plighted city. Boastful words... in order to bide his time.
His raven haired whipped about the pale, hardened expression on his face as he stared the man clad in black leather down.
At the Remnant's next words, Vincent snickered with a deep-throated 'hmph' sound from the back of his throat, not buying the naivety. "You know as well as I do that the 'black sheep' is still a black sheep, while the abomination you derived from would have made you react more differently to his presence. Where ever he is, he will not come to help you, as will Yazoo. A trick to deceive us or not to prove his alligence, it's nice to know that there is still discord among family, even to those that spread discord themselves." he analysed quite bluntly, his cross-hairs locked on Kadaj's back as he looked down at his approaching allies below. While this would have been the perfect time to strike, he would not be content winning this battle if he had taken advantage the coward's way with a sneak attack. Kadaj knew he was there, but that did not mean he would sink to his level, even if it cost him the battle for this planet.
A short yet loud chuckle emitted from between his lips, humored by Kadaj's words, and then spoke again after he had abruptly fallen silent. "It is because I trust them that I am here alone. If there is one thing that you and Yazoo do not understand, and never will... the connection between hearts is more than just being linked by blood. Our lives may be different and we all walk a different path, but it is because we share a common goal that our hearts over the years came together as one unstoppable force, to form a bond strong enough that is even more powerful than any mere sword or magic. Because of that bond, I put my faith in them to take care of your summon magic... while I take care of you."
And then as soon as he said that, Vincent pulled the trigger.
A storm of bullets came Kadaj's way, that Vincent knew the Remnant would be at the ready to reflect them away with his Souba. Vincent calmly strode across the surface of the Shinra building as he blasted round after round of tri-gun bullets at the Remnant, rubble crumbling under his feet as the wind at this height slipped through his hair and blew behind him. His cape around his shoulders whipped up and blew out behind him, revealing his lean figure for a moment before a flash of red covered his body, his left hand pulling his cape over his body as he leaped to the space in front of Kadaj's left, then side-stepped to just before his right. Shooting out from behind his cape came the flash of his golden boot just after he finished shooting, as he whipped his right foot around to kick Kadaj in the chest, the pointed toe slashing forward to intentionally do damage. A notorious roar came from the skies as Vincent registered Bahamut Sin, and knew Zack, Tifa and Yazoo would have a hard time with the corrupted form of the king of dragons before they could get to him, so he would be on his own for now in a deathlock with the silver-haired summoner.
The rainless dark clouds flashed with thunder, and having initiated the vicious battle to reclaim their home planet from the alien menace, the war for the world had just begun.

Zack felt another presence appear, which made him look back. He noticed it was Yazoo. The Remnant should not be too much trouble. Well, that was what Zack was hoping at least. With each step Zack got a little bit more tired, and even more depressed the longer he was over here. He wanted to get the show on the road already. The man in red is probably already fighting the opponent.
Eventually, they made it to the town and Zack looked all the way up to the Shinra HQ building. So why the hell do they have to go up there? Why can't he come down here? It would make things easier. With his right hand, he grabbed the handle of the Buster and slowly pulled it out. It wastime to take the elevator. Zack let out a sigh and walked inside the Shinra building and walked over to the elevators.
The elevators were on his left hand side. Fair was in too much of a hurry to wait up for well anyone at the moment. Next he pushed a red button which opened the elevator doors. It made a loud click noise. When he entered he pressed a yellow button which closed the doors and took him to the top of Shinra. As the doors opened up Zack took a few steps out and noticed this was an office area.
Almost immediately he looked for a stair case that lead to the roof. Now being stumped he walked around looking for a sign. That's when he spotted the stair case door behind a chair. Zack kicked the chair to the right and opened the door. He used his left hand to grab the handle of the door. As he pulled on the handle the door made a loud squeak as it opened.
It was only a small stair case so Zack quickly ran up the stair case and spotted both Vincent and Kadaj. Almost in an instant he rotated his blade, so he could rest on his head on it. Next he took one deep breath.
"Embrace your dreams and whatever happens protect your honor."
Zack slightly pulled his head back and looked at his Buster. That is when he charged in at Kadaj. "As Soldier!" Once in range he made one downwards slash.
"Its show time" Zack knew he was not with Soldier anymore. Even so, it was nice to think back to those days.

While moving Yazoo looked up at the sky, which did show that Kadaj had already stepped up to summoning the corrupted Bahamut. He wasn't certain if the others already noticed as when he looked at them, Tifa seemed rather confused with him or something he could read from her face and Zack was more off in his own thoughts. He had met both of them before and worked together with them. Still, from his experiences with Tifa, it seemed she still saw him as one of the Dark and Zack just didn't knew him yet. Which might change after this. Only that he, as well, is a product of Project S.
The summon had roared their way, but Zack seemed to not notice it at all as he moved onward without really making notice of the summon. Surely he looked up, where he could feel Vincent and Kadaj, but Yazoo didn't think it was wise to go up and perhaps get hit off the building or something. At least Bahamut SIN seemed likely to come down at them. The summon was still only freshly summoned. The remnant wasn't too certain if he should follow Zack to get up to Kadaj and Vincent. Especially it seemed to him a bad idea to truly literally appear before his brother.
As such he turned to Tifa to see if she followed Zack to go up or stayed down there. Then again, it would be then more likely that the summon would stay up there and attack them. The remnant decided he'd follow if the martial artist went after Zack as well and otherwise make a new plan on what to do, hoping that the summon would come down, which he had been expecting since the summoning. He could hear the gunshots above.

Kadaj just grinned at Vincent as he raised a gloved hand up to his mouth and laughed, shaking his head slightly at the crimson-cloaked man afterwards. "You're not serious are you? You actually think I expect 'help' from Sephiroth?! Haha! I didn't know you had a sense of humour. And what was that? Discord among the family eh? Hmhmhm... I'd hate to disappoint you dear friend, but you really shouldn't act solely upon what you hear, eh? Not all rumours are tell the truth." Kadaj's Souba was instantly drawn when he finished speaking as he continued to grin in Vincent's direction. Kadaj had crossed blades... guns... weapons, with Vincent before in the past and he knew how he thought. Kadaj was smarter then he looked. He was the brains being all the plots that the Remnant's carried out, past, present and future. After listening to what Vincent said next, only made the Remnant chuckle once again, though this time it was a more sinister laugh as he kept his eyes locked onto the crimson-clad male, now lifting his Souba up and pointing the twin blades in his direction.
"Such a terrible mistake you're making... to believe that my brothers and I are just as much the same as you remember from the Geostigma incident. Our hearts are bonded just as strongly as yours are with Tifa, Cloud and those other whelps. If not, my brothers and I, our hearts are woven so much more tightly together then yours, that we trust each other to carry out acts that would make others believe there might be... lets say... "discord" amongst us, eh?" Kadaj's laugh echoed across the rooftop of the Shin-Ra HQ building. He grinned as the bullets swiftly left the ex-Turk's weapon. Kadaj knew that Vincent was expecting him to block and deflect them away with his Souba, which was exactly what the silver-haired man did. Metal bullets flew at the Remnant, all of which were knocked away in different directions with loud yet brief "pings" of steel hitting steel as Kadaj's Souba was slashed from side to side before him. As Vincent stepped around the rooftop, so did Kadaj, mimicking his steps so that they both were walking in a circle. As Vincent stepped to his left, Kadaj stopped and continued to counter the more incoming bullets, deflecting them away in random directions, almost deliberately knocking them away from Vincent on purpose. When the crimson-cloaked man then stepped to the right, Kadaj swiftly spun the Souba around in his hand making sure none of the bullets being fired from under Vincent's cloak, found their target. As the kick headed towards his chest, the Remnant stepped back out of reach, yet countered at the same time by smashing the pommel of the Souba into Vincent's golden boot, trying to knock it away.
Whilst the echo of the boot against pommel rang across the rooftop, a sudden bright blue light started to shine down from overhead. Kadaj smirked as he jumped backwards a large distance away from the ex-Turk. Turning to face the edge of the roof, the silver-haired man waved a goodbye to Vincent as he dove off the roof. A Flare instantly came smashing down into the rooftop of the Shin-Ra HQ, causing a large explosion and destroying practically everything that was up there. A thunderous roar escaped from the heavens as a massive shadow started to take shape in the clouds. A huge, mutated monster flew down from the skies above, snarling as a blue flame escaped from it's mouth every now and then. The Flare had came from Bahamut SIN, who was waiting within the clouds for a chance to strike. The summon was about as smart as it's summoner, and waited for both Vincent and Zack to be present before launching off it's attack. Bahamut SIN then flapped it's large wings, heading back up into the dark, storm-like clouds once more and vanishing from view. The beats of it's wings and the roars escaping it's throat clearly alerted any and all to it's presence still being present.
Kadaj smirked as he glanced over his shoulder as he fell, watching the explosion erupt from the rooftop. A huge blue explosion. After falling a fair distance down the side of the building, the Remnant stabbed his Souba into the wall, using it as a 'break' to slow himself down. A long gash was left in the side of the Shin-Ra HQ from the Souba, as Kadaj eventually slowed down enough to pull the weapon out, and drop down harmlessly onto a roof below. Casting his eyes back up at some of the rubble fall down around him, he took this chance to try and pick up Yazoo's presence. What Vincent had said bothered him slightly, and even though the two brothers had met up in the Tournament prior to this, there were still a few questions he needed answered. Yet he knew, Kadaj knew that Vincent was going to be hot on his heels and as for that other, very familiar presence making their way up the inside of the Shin-Ra building... who was that? It certainly wasn't Cloud. After walking to the edge of the rooftop, Kadaj cast his eyes down to the ground below, wondering if Yazoo knew anything.
