((OOC: Sorry for the sucky post, but G Slayer really has screwed all my plans up for now T___T )) Kadaj stared at Weiss, glancing him up and down to size him up as he made his threat to the white-haired man. Kadaj wasn't frightened of this guy despite the reactions he had gotten from Tseng. Yet the silver-haired Remnant Leader seemed to be slightly more distracted then usual as couple more presences started to make themselves known. Well, the unforgettable aura of AVALANCHE member Vincent Valentine wasn't hard to miss, Kadaj himself having ran into him several times before the events of today. The other one was familiar too though it seemed they were trying to remain hidden while the scenes around the little group started to unfold. Though Vincent wasn't in visual range just yet, Kadaj knew he would show himself sooner or later. This was good. The Remnant had been meaning to seek an audience with the crimson warrior and now would be a good a time as any, especially with the Turks present too.
Speaking of Turks, Kadaj smirked to himself as he cast a glance over his shoulder, his brightly glowing eyes shining through his silver hair as he stared off in the general direction of where Rude was trying to hide himself, yet as he turned, Kadaj caught sight of the Genesis Copy raising up his gunblade in preparation to fire. Several things started to happen all at once now, the most noticeable one was that of Vincent starting to move, getting closer and closer. If anyone here was going to be a threat to Kadaj's plans, it was Vincent, so the leather-clad Remnant made doubly sure to keep his guard up and senses directed towards the AVALANCHE member. Yet the shot about to be fired by the G Slayer was slightly more important since both Loz, Tseng and Elena were in his presence and could easily be hurt by the shot. However, little to Kadaj's knowledge, Vincent had grabbed Elena and Weiss seemed to have disappeared. Either way, he wasn't going to let his plans come to ruin thanks to the Genesis Clone.
"You?! Why are you always following me?!!!" Kadaj shouted as he stepped towards the G Slayer, Souba already drawn and ready to defend. As the shot was fired, Kadaj threw his weapon back before slamming it forwards pommel first into G Slayer's shot. Under normal circumstances, Kadaj's Souba would easily slice this attack in half, but at the risk of the bullet splitting in two and hitting whatever was behind him... namely Loz and Tseng in this case. Not wanting to harm his brother, Kadaj used the pommel of his Souba to redirect the shot up and over the group, sending it flying through the air in a large arc until it came crashing down to solid ground far off in the distance. Though his hand was now stinging from the force of the impact, Kadaj just narrowed his eyes dangerously at G Slayer but hesitated to retaliate. He knew very well that Tseng was planning to make a run for it, but doing so would leave him empty handed of the information he wants: Rufus' location.
So what to do now? Fight off G Slayer again and risk loosing track of the Turks and possibly Vincent as well or turn on the offensive and attack Tseng to make sure he doesn't flee... But Vincent would be expecting that. Kadaj could mentally feel the tri-barreled firearm wielded by the crimson cloaked man already being aimed at the back of his head. His grip tightened around the handle of his Souba as his eyes started to glow brighter with frustration at the quickly degrading situation. There wasn't anything he could do now. G Slayer was going to be hell bent on fighting him so there would be no option but to defend and end up having to track down the Turks and Vincent again at another time in the future.

As the G Slayer had launched his attack, things seemed to have moved. First the woman disappeared in a shade of crimson as the Copy attempted to follow that sight, he found it was a man that had taken the woman away. The Copy didn't knew him nor did he care any less about the man or the woman. Instead he returned his attention to the group that had just lost a few members apart from the girl, which did give the Copy a bit of a surprised feeling.
The worst thing was that one of the two silver-haired men had vanished from there. The white-haired man was gone as well. Somewhere he felt a bit of disappointment there. The events were strange and the Copy had lost his target for his rush forward. He had come to a halt ever since he saw the crimson flash by.
The Copy hadn't seen what happened to his shot after the distraction, but the remaining silver-haired man was furious it appeared. The man still did not come in his direction, which gave the G Slayer time to set his facts straight. The crimson man and the woman did not matter to him, surely they would attack as well, so he kept some of his attention to them, which did brought to attention that he had his guard down this whole time. The silver-haired man and the remaining other person were currently in sight. The man didn't matter, only the silver-haired one. However, it was possible to use the man as bait, seeing the silver-haired man was bent on keeping him.
Then the Copy raised an arm as he cast upon himself Wall. He prepared himself for battle that would be tough and difficult, but could also end in failure.

Tseng blinked as a streak of crimson flashed by him. Then, in an instant, Elena was gone. His eyes shifted to follow the red blur to find Vincent standing nearby. A bit of relief flooded Tseng at the moment. At least Elena was safe now and he could focus on the threats in front of him. As much as the Turks hated to admit it, he was thankful that Vincent had arrived.
Tseng made eye contact and nodded briefly a thank you before looking back at the crowd. It seemed that Loz and Weiss had both disappeared. Honestly, the remnant probably got bored and wandered off. But, Tseng had absolutely no clue where Weiss had gone in that instant. So, the only threat at the moment was the Genesis copy. They were not that strong back on Gaia, so he was not expecting them to be very strong off world. They were only weak copies of a once proud Soldier.
The gunshot would be nothing to avoid. The Turks were well trained body guards for the President. If they couldn't dodge a bullet, then they were useless. That's when Kadaj spoke up. Hmm, this was intriguing.
'You?! Why are you always following me?!!!' So it seemed that the clone was following Kadaj. He wondered why a clone would have an interest in the remnant. This might be information worth looking into at a later date. But the battle was a bit more important then this tid-bit.
The bullet that was shot was reflected by Kadaj. It was impressive how extensive his skills with the sword were. Though, Tseng knew first hand how skilled the man was. That was something he would never forget. But, that's when it started to settle down. G-Slayer was focusing in on Kadaj and the Remnant seemed to put most of his attention on the clone. Tseng glanced back to Rude's position to make sure the bald man was still there. The moment he confirmed it, Tseng began to make his move.
Yes, this was going to risk losing Rufus's scent. But there was a high chance that the President was dead already. Tseng couldn't risk losing the chance to interrogate Kadaj, but in the predicament it was going to have to happen. The irritation showed on the Turks face as he slowly began to retreat.
Posting Order: Kadaj, G-Slayer, Tseng, Vincent, then Rude.

(OOC: Sorry guys, with all the staff work and Sora plottage I was doing along with the raids, I forgot about this thread! We probably should start wrapping it up if the Turks are thinking about retreating and we forget about this thread again before it goes dead. I'll only have Vincent leave though once the Turks are safely gone.)
It seemed for the most part that without violently interjecting for the most part, which Vincent seemed to prefer best and was most commonly noted from his quiet and reserved character, the events that unfolded before his crimson eyes had actually turned out for the better. Loz and Weiss seemed to have disappeared... as Vincent sensed where they had gone with his scent, both products of JENOVA had moved at highly intense speeds off to a different part of town to battle. Such a shame Weiss didn't stay so they could 'catch up', but Vincent knew the survivor of that epic battle - if it did not continue off-world - would return looking for more. So, they didn't have long, but the Turks for the moment were unscathed. And Kadaj seemed to have completely focused his attention on the clone of the man in the scarlet coat, knowing the consequences of what would happen if he attacked Tseng or Rude. "I think it would be best for you Turks to leave. Now." Vincent suggested in warning, giving Elena a intense scowl when she had hesitated to stay behind for Tseng and Rude, one that meant not to second-guess the ex-Turk.
As Elena left for the Gummi ship, Vincent stayed behind, crossing his arms as the leather creaked from his elbows, waiting for the other Turks to follow suit. Rude would most likely go next, but it was possible he could remain, either wanting to remain hidden or wait for Tseng to give him orders. Tseng, however, was going to be a bit more of a challenge. Vincent knew of his loyalty to his master, Shinra, and that the head of Rufus's bodyguards had finally found the only person who knew of Rufus's whereabouts. But if Tseng thought that if he stayed that it would increase his chances of overpowering Kadaj and interrogating him for Shinra's whereabouts, he was seriously mistaken - Vincent knew how hard-headed Kadaj was. The only way if that was even going to remotely work was if someone that had the endurance like himself or Cloud to wear down Kadaj in a epic battle, and even then Kadaj wasn't going to spit out where Rufus was unless he either found what he wanted from the President or that he was dead.
This wasn't the way the Turks should go about trying to find where Shinra was, they had used their brains and applied force indirectly the last time to get what they needed from the Geostigma Crisis, instead of having to restort to direct combat. And from the way Kadaj seemed to be hunting them down, if they played their cards right, they would have another opportunity when Kadaj came for him and this time, be ready instead of being caught off-guard finding another of their number. From their scents, Elena had been here first, followed by Tseng's aftershave which pinned him having found her, before Kadaj's stench of darkness had shown up. Valentine was surprised they would let their emotions get in the way of their ingenius training and tactics that had been drilled into them since they had been signed up with Shinra's 'Administrative Research' progam, but if it was reflected into his expression, he did not show it in his cold and calculating face. The Turks were once hitmen and assassins, spies and infiltrators, they had more than just the clownish clumsiness of the rag-tag group of remaining defunct bodyguards they were today and if they were smart about finding their employeer, they would use their special-ops smarts to tactically retreat and set up a infalliable plan to get him back without having to do so much more as pull the remote detonator on a bomb.
But, perhaps that's probably for the best why he left the Turks in the first place and went the direction of AVALANCHE before WRO was formed... Cloud's team might have been dysfunctional, but when it came to combat, they used teamwork as a unstoppable, coheasive force. Just like Vincent had always pictured the Turks would be when he signed up for Shinra himself, all those years ago, and he did not regret his decisions to right what he made wrong. If he had awoken and joined the Turks, he would be on the loosing side of a power company that had been responsible for the whole mess, and still trying to earn his redemption for what he had done to the planet two-fold. But the past was the past, and now AVALANCHE and the Turks were working together as WRO to restore their planet, even if Shinra had secretive plans to restore his company and bring the planet to ruin all over again, that he did not want a part of. Vincent had a conscience, but he would not let Shinra die if he could help it either, even if he was a guilty life on the line as long as he was sincerely trying to redeem for his actions, then it was worth saving if he had the potential to save lives in turn.
And so Vincent remained as still as a statue from his simple but authoritive advice to the Turks, being one of the few present who was a threat to Kadaj, hoping they would make life easier for him and take his words seriously to follow Elena back to the Gummi ship.

With Weiss and now Loz gone, the situation had quickly change. The copy of Gensis had fired a bullet that was reflected by Kadaj. While Kadaj was distracted and quite angry with the copy, yelling something about it following him around, Rude frowned slightly as he wonder why on earth something would follow Kadaj around. In any case, the copy provided a much needed distraction.
From his position, he moved his eyes over to the roof once more in time to see Elena had left. Relieved, he looked back at Tseng and saw him moving away from Kadaj despite an agitated look on his face. Seeing this as his signal to move, Rude began to move further down the tunnel. He took his time though to watch out for Tseng....although with Vincent around, the Turk was sure he didn't have too much to worry about.

((OOC: This might be a tad smelly ^^;;; )) This really wasn't going according to plan anymore. With Loz disappearing and taking Weiss along with him, that left Kadaj alone to deal with the quickly degrading situation. G Slayer had returned and was going to battle the Remnant regardless on what happened. Vincent had shown up and would be hell bent on protecting the Turks from perhaps both the silver-haired youth and the Genesis Clone and finally, the Turks were outnumbering the Remnant, which might always give them a slight confidence boost, thus resulting in them actually doing something, such as coordinating a fleeing tactic. The Remnant still knew very well that a bullet would come flying his way if he attempted to halt Tseng from leaving. Rude was nearby, but the Remnant gave no physical clues as to him knowing this as he merely kept his glowing, mako infused eyes on the G Slayer.
So now what? Fight the Clone and let the Turks escape? That seemed like the most inevitable case. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing though... if the Turks were to leave, that would give Kadaj the space he needed to really open himself up and let the G Slayer taste what real 'S Cell' power was. Even with that Wall he has cast upon himself, Kadaj knew that a well aimed Draw Slash at full strength could quiet easily end this battle. But was such a mere Clone worth all the effort? And what of Vincent? What was his plan? Kadaj ended up casting a glance over his shoulder, his eyes peering up the building directly towards the crimson-cloaked AVALANCHE member. A small smirk spread across his lips at the sight of him, being reminded of his victory at Spira where he kidnapped the President. Of course! That was why he was here. To get Rufus Shin-Ra back. The silver-haired Remnant just grinned to himself as he returned his eyes to G Slayer for a moment, before then casting a glance over his opposite shoulder to see what Tseng was up too.
Seeing as he was slowly edging away from him, off in the general direction that Rude was in, it would perhaps be most logical to let him escape. However, Kadaj had plans of his own. Returning his attention to the G Slayer, Kadaj smirked as he took a single step forwards towards him, before he vanished completely into a cluster of black angel feathers. Oh did Kadaj enjoy this technique! An instant later and the silver-haired youth appeared from another cluster of feathers a short distance away. However, he wasn't on ground level with G Slayer, nor was he beside Tseng or Rude. Instead, Kadaj teleported himself right up beside Vincent Valentine. As he emerged from the angel feathers, Kadaj brought up his Souba and slid the blade back into it's sheath upon his back. Temporarily ignoring the crimson cloaked ex-Turk, Kadaj folded his arms across his chest as he walked up to the edge of the building he was now standing upon, taking his position next to Vincent.
Yet his eyes remained locked on G Slayer back down on the ground. He really was very troublesome and the silver-haired youth wasn't expecting any help from the AVALANCHE member, not after what happened on Spira. Still, Kadaj grinned and turned his head to peer towards Vincent for a moment. Elena had gone it seemed too. Perhaps she escaped after Vincent arrived and rescued her. That didn't matter anymore. Instead, the silver-haired youth just nodded his head in G Slayer's direction while his eyes remained locked onto Vincent. Putting his arms behind his back, having no intention to attack the ex-Turk, Kadaj spoke. "You're pretty knowledgeable. What can you tell me about that guy?" Kadaj asked Vincent, his voice carrying a somewhat... mischievous tone to it as he referred to the G Slayer back down with Tseng. Perhaps Tseng would panic without Kadaj acting as a meat shield between himself and the Genesis Clone, thus hopefully causing a reaction from the Turks. That would give Kadaj the chance to sweep back in and deal some collateral damage to everyone in the chaos and return the situation to being back in his control. If not, maybe Vincent would aid him and answer his question. At least then Kadaj would have something to look into for when he and the G Slayer next crossed paths.

The G Slayer started to move towards Kadaj. He saw the man also take a step towards him before he suddenly vanished. This left the Copy staring at the place where Kadaj had stood. He didn't care about the others, seeing only Tseng standing. He still stared at the space where Kadaj had been standing. As Tseng was the only one that stood nearby him, his choice of target had pretty much changed in an instant. The Copy could not sense Darkness or Light from others and so had not really noticed where Kadaj had gone.
With a sprint the G Slayer started to move in on Tseng and readied himself his Combo Attack. His first strike at Tseng was a horizontal attack with his large gunblade, immediately following with a slashing attack from above and finalizing the combo with a diagonal strike from the right to left upwards. With that he took a step back to fire a shot at the Turk to finish his combo attack.

(Ok, I actually forgot about this thread. I knew my other two were dead so I stopped logging on to this account for a bit. Sorry, I'll jump in now and fix it all up.)
----
Vincent was right. The Turks wouldn't be able to do much with a direct assault. The only time a direct assault had worked was back when Verdot was in-charge and they had the numbers to back it up. Even then, they had had difficulty with the direct approach. But they were desperate to save Verdot. This was not the same situation. Rufus knew he needed to keep himself useful. So the President was safe for the time being. Yet, how much longer would he be safe?
This bugged Tseng's mind as he began to make a tactful retreat. He knew that Rude would be waiting for him the moment he was able to break free of the group and get to safety. However, Tseng was in for a surprise. Kadaj disappeared from his spot near the Genesis Copy. Tseng drew his gun and braced himself for the attack to be aimed in his direction. But there was nothing.
Until he noticed that the Genesis Copy took note as well and changed targets instantly. Tseng had taken down his fair share of Genesis copies before, but they usually had Soldier support to back them up. Thankfully it was a one on one or this would have become messy and quickly.
Tseng shifted into a defensive stance the moment the copy charged him. He knew the attack by the way the copy was gripping his sword. With a bit of difficulty from his earlier wounds, Tseng jumped back to avoid the horizontal slash, barely sidestepping the attack from above, only to be clipped across the cheek by the clone's bullet.
The whole time, Tseng attempted to keep an expressionless mask on. It wasn't time to be showing any weakness. He needed to distract the clone enough to be able to get out of here. He knew Valentine could handle himself against Kadaj and the clone. So there was no need to stay behind and help. Tseng quickly outstretched his left hand, since his gun was in his right, and quickly cast Quake 2 at G Slayer. This would be enough of a shock for Tseng to make his escape.
Not turning from G Slayer, Tseng began to back away from him. The Turk was NOT going to die fighting a mere copy. He needed to find his comrades and rescue the President!

A disinterested look crossed over Vincent’s pale face as the Remnant teleported up next to him, not even flinching or reacting to him coming into melee range, simply staring down at the copy of Genesis and staying as still as a statue as he was before. Kadaj probably thought he was here for Rufus’s life… which was far from it. Rufus he was no longer concerned about, because if Kadaj wanted to by now he would have killed him, and right now the Turks were the ones in danger. More than likely, Kadaj was searching after the remains of his precious Mother, the Calamity from the Skies, to re-enact the Geostigma crisis all over again. Done and dusted, and the ex-Turk was tired of repeating the mistakes of the past.
Not even turning to look at him as he peered down at the G-Slayer attacked Tseng, who could easily handle himself from the appearance of things, the monster of a man kept the silver-haired youth in his peripheral vision. At his question, he could have laughed or even smirked, but that was not Vincent Valentine. Maybe he could have scoffed at it when he was human, but now after all this time of outliving people’s lifetimes, being amused by such naivety had been lost to him now. So, it appeared that the avatar of Sephiroth did not know about the clones of his creator’s old friend? Interesting.
Instead, he simply remained cold and unanimated as he ever was, a simple ‘hmph’ erupting from the back of his deep throat at Kadaj as he turned his back on him in boredom, walking away. His purpose in coming here was done. Elena and Rude had evacuated, and Tseng was on his way, with the President not here there was nothing to keep him. Loz would keep Weiss occupied for some time, so at least that pressure and those crosshairs were now off his back, but they were one of many. Nothing that phased the sullen man more than usual, and slowly he followed after the Turks back to his airship.
Kadaj should have known better that he was not going to help him out for free just to use the information for his own malicious gain, and if we wanted to desperately know, then he was going to have to come find him and make a deal… which was eaiser said than done, as he had already vanished from this world.
Vincent Valentine has left the thread.
(Thanks for finally replying Tseng, and thanks for the thread everyone.)

The G Slayer kept moving after his attacks and when Tseng used his Quake 2, the Copy tumbled forward and due to the heavy weight of the gunblade he carried, his body fell forward and ended up falling on the ground. With a bit of a slide over the ground, the Copy slowly started to push his body back up while keeping his eyes on his target, who was starting to back away. Apparently planning to run.
As the Copy had been getting up rather slow, the distance between the two became great, so the degradated man stared at the man for a moment before he set his legs in movement after the Turk. Lifting his large gunblade up, he tried to catch up on the Turk, but he was not as fast as Tseng, so if the man ran away, the Copy would just be running around Twilight Town aimlessly.
The G Slayer still had not found Kadaj again, so his only visible target was Tseng and he had not noticed that many people at the scene had still been there or left the place.
[OOC: I'm guessing Tseng is going to keep on running and leave the thread? Then I'd say G Slayer has left the thread as well. I'll hear from you whether this is the case, I assume. ^^; Thanks for the fun! Was quite a long time with this thread. xD My muse for the Copy has been a little low the last two months, I believe.]

A slight bit of relief washed over Tseng when he watched the Genesis Copy stumble forward. This would give him the moment that he needed to escape. Tseng quickly took advantage of the moment to turn and run in the opposite direction of the people. He had to stay alive. It was the only way to rescue the President. Tseng looked back briefly to where Vincent and Kadaj were. Neither of the two stood there anymore. Tseng frowned a bit, but didn't let it bother him. He'd find another time to interrogate Kadaj. Maybe next time he could get something important to slip on Rufus's location. The Director prayed that Rufus remained safe. The Director also was a bit upset that Elena had just disappeared like that. Thankfully, Vincent had arrived and probably saved her life. That wasn't the first time it had happened. Tseng really owed Vincent a thank you. The Director and Elena would have probably been dead had he not rescued them at the Northern Cavern. But that wasn't the point now. The Turk needed to make it back to the Gummi Ship and head home. Hopefully, Rude and Elena would be there when he arrived. [Exit - Kadaj and Tseng] [End Thread]
