Helen didn't look too happy with his demand. But, she took a large bite out of her salad and was quiet for a brief moment. That was a good thing. Rufus took another bite of his own food when she began to talk again. But instead of ignoring her, he looked up to meet her eyes. She began to explain. "I'm not as drunk as you seem to think, Rufus... these people here... there's something weird going on. I might not have a great a tolerance to alcohol as Reno or Rude, but this much only gives me a little buzz." Her voice changed when a waiter walked by. But he sighed anyways. "I think it might be effecting you more then you realize." He stated. He noticed Helen looking off at the waitress she tripped and the floor manager as well. However, after a few seconds her tone changed. "Something's not right..." "What do you mea-" He started as he glanced up from his plate. He then noticed she seemed really groggy all of a sudden. "Helen? Are you feeling alright?" He asked, now worried a bit. After placing his silverware down, and stood up to head over and check on her. That's when he suddenly began to feel groggy as well. Hm, maybe this wasn't as good a restaraunt. "Ok.... Maybe you were right." He stopped and began to lean heavily on the table.

"What do you mea- Helen? Are you feeling alright?"
She wanted to say 'no' but a sort of weight seemed pressed to her tongue, and it sounded heavily choked when she tried to speak aloud. She felt as though it would take everything in her to push Rufus away when he stood to check on her.
"Ok... Maybe you were right." Helen forced a short chortle.
"Really? You admit that now?" she sounded sick, she noticed with a faint grimace. Her amethyst eyes tried to focus on something just behind her boss. "If you wanna collapse, now would be a good time for it." The turk hooked her foot behind her boss's knee and pulled it toward her, hoping to trip him. One of the men who had waited on them had a small gun, barely big enough to hold one shot. He seemed to be aiming it at the President.
She calmly tried to stand, leaning heavily on the table's edge.
"Never doubt an old turk's sense of danger. It might get you killed." The last word out of her mouth was accompanied with a short popping noise as the not-really waiter fired.
[OoC: We can cut this off and start up a new thread elsewhere after your post here or keep it going, your choice xD]

'Really? You admit that now? If you wanna collapse, now would be a good time for it.'
Rufus frowned at her smart ass comment, but he really could care less. At the moment, he was a bit worried about what was going on. Along with how they knew he was going to be here. There were other people in the restaruant. Was it all a set up?
That's when he felt her hook his knee and within seconds he'd fallen. This was not his day and the date had taken a crappy turn.
'Never doubt an old turk's sense of danger. It might get you killed'
Rufus grumbled a few curses at her comment and the pain of faceplanting on the ground. It was so blurry. He heard the gun fire and wasn't sure what happened next.

Helen felt the slipstream of the projectile fan a few strands of hair out of her face. She took a few deep breaths to focus and cast an Ice spell in the general direction of the largest group of workers.
"Let's get the hell out of this joint," she mumbled, carefully pulling Rufus to his feet. she kept Rufus behind her and backed out of the place with one hand raised as though she could cast another spell without a problem.
The threat was taken seriously, and the pair escaped. Helen did her best to direct her boss to a hotel, but she wound up in a book store.
She dozed off with her phone in her hand after calling for backup, wondering why the hell she was stupid enough to make a bet that was quite so... stupid.
