The moment you've all been waiting for has finally arrived, and we will now begin the 3 way team battle royale! Six contestants will be entering the arena today and only one team will win the grand prize of two upgrades! The runner-up will be decided by which team did the 2nd best in teamwork, creativity, yadda yadda for the prize of one upgrade. Regardless, the posting order will be... Zexion, Kadaj, Domino, Loomy, Yazoo, & Kaiju! The barrier will be extended all the way to the benches that spectators will be sitting on and the arena floor will be gone now leaving only sand in it's place. Everything else will otherwise be the same and I wish you all luck and if you need a look at the rules here they are. At any rate... let the final match of the Kingdom Duet Cup... BEGIN!

Three way? [/I]
Zexion sighed as the announcer told him the final battle (yet he never even stepped into the first before they had won by default) was to be a three way. Taking on two targets was fine… but four? The Schemer frowned, as the centaur that had once called him a women, was ranting on about something, something pointless, no doubt.
Lost in thought, Zexion pondered how his partner and him might be able to take on four targets at once. Unless one didn’t show, he was pretty sure that only area damage might help them. It depended on how accomplished his opponents were in the magical arts and… how good they were at range. There was no way Zexion was to let anyone get very close to him, unless he had too.
His eyes moved over to his comrade, who was getting an ear full from the centaur about… cowards who got disqualified. Shaking his head slightly, the Clocked Schemer interrupted. “Loomy, we need to talk strategy before we enter the field.”
It was true that Zexion knew Loomy’s true name, due to a slip up from the announcer in the last round, but he respected his partner’s wishes, and only referred to her by the name she wished to be known by. Yet before his ally was able to get a few words in to answer his statement the centaur spoke up again.
“You got no time for that! You’re on in a minute!
Zexion nearly glared at the tiny animal. Did he not know fighting at all? Talking an earful into his partner while they could be figuring out how they were going to win? The man had no logical mind anywhere.
“Then leave us for that minute so we can discuss.” The Nobody stated sort of coldly.
Receiving an odd look from the animal, the centaur replied. “Well alright, go to get the others on the field anywho. and the creature took off.
Turning to his partner the Schemer nodded. “Quickly, lets go over this…
After they figured out exactly what the plan of attack was, the two scholars heard the announcer warming up the crowd… or so it seemed. “We will be the first to be called. I instructed the announcer on your proper name this time. Are you ready?
Echoing loudly throughout the stadium, the announcer’s voice called out their names.
“Our first pair in the Duet Cup Three Way Battle Finale are the Spellbound Bookworms! Give it up from Loomy, the Shrouded Scholar and Zexion, the Cloaked Schemer!”
Well that works…[/I] Smirking back at his partner he cleared the doorway and stepped into the arena.
Barely being in here the first time, the Schemer didn’t quite realize that the boundaries were wider, or that it was all sand on the ground, he just frowned at the very wide space that they had to fight in. There was no corners or pillars or anywhere that he could take cover, our use to his advantage. There was nothing to cast an illusion on either. This place was a simple sword to sword fighting arena, not the place for two Scholars. Frowning slightly The Nobody placed his arms in their usual concentration pose, fingertips resting on his forehead.
Well… there was always luck.

[Kaiju, I hope you don't mind me entering you in this with me]
My destiny is mine to decide. [/i] The bright humid air tugged the first hints of perspiration from the brow of the elder hero. Domino had decided to take a break from liberating the worlds from the plague of war. This world just so happened to be the first world to see the true light, the light that gave a shadow. He'd also freed a world known as Traverse Town from the perils of darkness. He'd been taught that the only true way for peace was for both light and darkness to reach harmony and work together. Malachi, the man who'd trained him to wield a sword, might have been viewed as a quack of sorts, but Domino had seen him as a hero. None of that really mattered right now. The massive gate opened to reveal the elder warrior, Domino, and a pint-size summoner, Kaiju. The crowd was unusually silent as the unknown warriors made their way to the center of the stadium. It was as if a world champion was pit against an average joe. Nobody thought an old man and a small hero would be able to pull the upset against the powerhouses in front of them. Domino had played it smart and viewed the preliminaries. Fortunately, the two leather bound villains had missed the finals, for one reason or another. Their fighting style would be very dangerous to himself mostly because he was used to fighting from a distance and his swordsmanship wasn't all that great. Loomy and Zexion, on the other hand, were polar opposites. Zexion seemed to master in illusions, and Loomy specialized in magic. Therefore, the best plan would be to go in close and attack before they had time to cast anything. -=-=-=-=-=-Flashback-=-=-=-=-=- "Kaiju, I have watched both teams, and I have a plan." Domino sat on just outside the arena, awaiting the announcement of the final match. "I am going to go in fast, and I want you to summon Carbuncle to provide coverage. As long as the two of you can do that, I should be able to stop Zexion from casting any of his dangerous illusions."-=-=-=-=-=- "Also, welcome to the arena these first time competitors! Introducing Domino and Kaiju! As soon as the signal to start the fight came, Domino took off headfirst towards the Cloaked Schemer. Now, hand to hand combat wasn't really his forte, but he had a couple techniques he could use to even the playing field if they could also fight halfway decent with melee techniques. With a powerful lunge towards the Nobody, Domino put his tactics to use. The final round of the tournament had officially begun![/size][/blockquote]

If it wasn't for the tense way she held her shoulders, it would be impossible for one to see that Loomy was irritated. Irritated with drop outs in the tournament? Not likely. With the short, overbearing creature that continued to rant without cease?
Most definitely.
In fact, she was so very close to snapping that she almost growled at the second voice that broke into the conversation space around her. That is- until she recognized it's owner.
"Loomy, we need to talk strategy before we enter the field."
"I-" But of course, the goat thing- Satyre? cut her short.
"You got no time for that! You're on in a minute!"
The slight hope that her comrade's presence alone would convince the annoying creature to silence himself slipped away without a farewell. A gloved hand found it's way to the bridge of her nose, revealing her mental battle with irritation, and with as much patience as she could muster the elven woman kept silent.
“Then leave us for that minute so we can discuss.” A coldness that almost frightened Loomy permeated his voice and osmosed into the air. Thankfully, the creature heeded his request.
While Loomy was no fool, she was still unsure as to what exactly her ally was. He was human, at least, his appearance stated such... But his personality betrayed naught but a cold indifference. It was as though he was a machine with the skin of a man. It unnerved her in a way that he was her ally.
Not that that meant she wasn't thankful that he was. Briefly, they discussed a plan of attack, then, in a way that almost made it seem as though he cared, Zexion informed her that he had instructed the announcer not to use her given name. The ex-noble was caught off guard by the action. It wasn't as though she was afraid of her identity getting out as there was nobody to know her- it was simply an irritation to know that they had gone against her wishes. She was thankful, however, and nodded shortly
"Thank you..."
“Our first pair in the Duet Cup Three Way Battle Finale are the Spellbound Bookworms! Give it up for Loomy, the Shrouded Scholar and Zexion, the Cloaked Schemer!”
Zexion glanced back at her with a faint smirk as he strode out to the arena. Loomy wasn't entirely certain if the smirk was one of confidence... or if some sort of inside joke had been made there.
The elven woman followed her partner after a beat, cursing her luck as she realized the arena was bare of everything but sand this round. It appeared that Zexion thought the same, as his expression and posture faintly expressed his disapproval.
Already, it appeared that one of the fighters had decided not to show, and a grumble of disapproval echoed from the spectators about the space.
Nonetheless, the other team had arrived, a large bearded man who held the appearance of a mafia leader, and a small... Mouse? Whatever the creature was, it did not appear to be a threat.
This was made all the more obvious when the larger man moved to attack immediately at the signal as his partner remained at a distance. The man- Domino, she believed the announcer had called him, made it clear that his target was Zexion. He also made it clear that he had no weapons to use, that he intended to use sheer force. Without a second's hesitation, Loomy cast an Ice 3 at the man, moving closer to her ally.
"Looks like the fight has finally begun."
--
Ice 3- can be cast thrice every five rounds.

It has been past 72 hours since Loomy's post and since Kaiju has not posted, the win will be defaulted to Spellbound Bookworms and they shall receive two upgrades. Since Kadaj's team was the first to get eliminated, Domino will be receiving an upgrade since he was able to post for his team. PM Vincent for your rewards.
