Zexion's Story Zexion opened a dusty tome as he stood in front of the masses that had gathered around to hear the tales of horror. With a elegant voice, he called their attention, and once receiving it, began the tale that was written on the pages...There were footfalls… then a horrid silence. I wished my heart to be forever still, for I could swear those monsters could hear it… the hard thumps against my chest… the wild pulse under my skin… they always did.
I could feel them, still feel them, still hear the blinking of their bright red eyes as they hunted for me. Despite the cease of the steps they made I knew them still there… They slithered like snakes on the ground, so fast that…
Crack
They’re here! They’re here! Lord have mercy on me, and take me to heaven, they are here! I can feel my heart jump up to my throat as I run, beating so wildly I swear it to explode and give me to the final peace away from the mouths of the creatures around me. No, no, canter forward legs, faster and faster! I cannot bear to imagine the torture of this end! What have I done that God has smitten me for this ending? What savage beast have I become to be hunted by the hunters of the lands?
I know them stronger then me, I can feel the gaining on me, despite the only sound being the thumping of their footfalls against the forest floor. I run blindly forwards, trying to desperately to get my human body to go faster and faster still, but it is to no avail. The feeling of cold doom settles on me, masked only by a wildly terror and a human’s dire need for survival. The doom makes my wild heart run cold, colder then the air that fills my lungs, colder then the snow that falls besides me, colder then the finger of the beast that have yet to claim me.
And surely God has given up on me now, surely I am alone against this darkness, surely I shall perish in this forest and there is nothing more I can do! But my body fights this fate, fights it as hard and as much as it possibly can. I can see the end of the forest now, the end of the dark deep words. At last, a light out of my forever darkness! Hope! God is with me yet!
But what?! What?! Why… why do I pitch forwards? What, what is this that ensnares itself around my legs? No! It is the devil himself in the form of a leafy dead snake! No! No! NOOOOOOO!
Oh the horror! It is there! That beast, a beast of horrid proportions, of unimaginable terror that my eyes had the horrid outcome of looking upon. A face ripped to the bone, a dead-head’s mask that still breathed with a breath that smelled like the death that followed it. Red eyes shown from hollow socks, as if there were no eyes on the beast but glowing red gems that were set back into the skull. And their hands, that gripped around me without hesitation and with a grip like steel and talons like a vulture… were as much missing flesh and exposing bone like their faces, if you could call THAT a face! Terrified, I could not move, though my mind screamed at me too, I could not. I could only face that beast which stood in front of me. It hissed at me, speaking a tongue I could not tell what…
End it beast, please! Least the terror in my Heart does your job! I want nothing more then that final peace that end to this darkness, this terror, this horror, to everything!
Then, in one motion of the lot of them around me, with one last look of the death heads that surrounded my vision, the all jumped upon me. With one last scream, and one last bit of agony, I finally made it to peace. Peace, the glory of peace! The terror of my night was over, peace and ever lasting peace did I make.
But this? What is this? What are theses flames? What is this fire? Where is the peace I deserved? Oh my God, why have you smitten me? Why have you cast me into Hell, what horrid things have I done to deserve this!
All there is, is Agony!
Agony! Agony! Agony!!!!
Zexion let the last lines linger for a moment before silently shutting the volume, smirking at the reactions of the people around him.

Mordred's Story Her fault. All her fault... She was the one who showed me the picture. The one who clued me in. The one who brought HIM to my attention. Why? Why did she do it? Was she ignorant or was she in on it, too? Does it matter? No... No, not anymore. It all started a couple weeks ago. My wife and I were cleaning out the attic. It was spring cleaning and she was always a pain when it came to cleanliness. Not to say I was a slob or anything, but it was never cleaned her way no matter how many times you scrubbed. I swore up and down I'd send her to a psychiatrist to see if she had OCD. Anyways, we were cleaning out the attic for stuff to sell in a garage sale. We managed to find a box of old photographs we had taken before we got married and we started looking through them. Most of them filled us with nostalgia, making us laugh or cry or just grin at each other the way couples do. But that one photo... even now I can't get it out of my head. It was photo of us during our trip to her mother's house in Florida. While there we went to Dream Gardens Amusement Park. It was small, but it had enough rides to fill the day. The picture was taken of us standing in front of this statue of some knight on a horse or something. As always, we're smiling like goofballs, but that's not what caught my eye. There was a man in a nice suit, standing straight and his legs together, like he was trying to pretend he was the letter I. His suit was complimented with a nice hat, probably a fedora and black loafers. His head was bent downwards, so his hat hid part of his face. The only thing visible was a smile. Not a big one, but a small, knowing smile, like he knew something about your mother. Neither I nor my wife had remembered there being a man there. Of course, this was years ago, so our memories weren't the greatest. Heck, I can barely remember the day we were married, how was I supposed to remember some guy in a suit at an amusement park. But something about it unnerved me and I think it unnerved my wife, too. The Man in the Suit just looked... off. Like he didn't fit in the picture. Not like he was too big for it or anything, but it... just looked wrong. We decided to leave it alone for now and get on with the cleaning. We were behind enough as it was. But that picture never left my mind. Next day, we were setting up the garage sale. I had gone up to the attic to get a box and decided to take a peek at that picture. It took me awhile, since it was buried under everything else, but I eventually found it. Same statue of a calvaryman, same couple making goofy smiles, same Man in the Suit. Except it wasn't the same. Not exactly. The smile had grown. Not a lot, but where it was just a small knowing smile before, it was now a big grin, as if the man was trying to sell you something. It still unnerved me, but maybe it was just my imagination, I thought. I could've misremembered, after all. I decided to put the picture back and bring the box back down to the garage sale. Still, I was sure I hadn't misremembered. The picture did change, if only a little. A couple days later, the wife and I had decided to go out to eat. Nothing fancy, just to the local Red Robin and then to the movies. We were sitting at the stop light while people tried to cross before the light turned green. And there, crossing the intersection, was that guy. I could've sworn it was that guy. He walked like he had some place to go and it was urgent, but it was definitely that guy. That smile still on his face. Well, I had a minor freak out right then and there, but the wife calmed me down. I told her what I saw and she said that it couldn't be the same exact man, since he would've aged a little bit. And the suit he wore wasn't exactly uncommon. Still though... Still. I couldn't tell her what really scared me. That smile had grown again. And there were fangs instead of teeth, like a shark. I went back to that picture over the next few days and that smile kept growing until that man's mouth resembled a shark, like when I saw him at the intersection. I looked over other pictures and now I was starting to see him in those, too. Same suit, Same smile. Even in more recent pictures that I was sure didn't have him in them previously. How long had he been stalking me? Since college? High School? My Sixth Birthday?! My wife became more and more worried about me, but I couldn't help it. He was everywhere and he seemed to be taunting me. Her fault... all her fault. If she hadn't shown that picture to me... I have to go to sleep... it's getting late... ... Suddenly, I hear a sound. A sickening crunch sound that's right next to my ear. I wake up and I see the Man in the Suit staring at me through eyeless sockets that seem to drip black ichor onto the sheets. His shark-like mouth is drenched in blood and it doesn't take long to figure out whose blood that is. Her fault and now she paid for it. Just like I was going to. Last thing I heard was the Man in the Suit speaking to me. "Fooooound yooouuuuuu"

Kefka's Story Kefka stood before the campfire, his slitted pupils falling into the eyes of all present to hear his terrifying tale. A quiet, sadistic laugh escaped his lips... Revealing daggerlike teeth that seemed to glow in the moonlight. He brought his hands before him, tapping the talons of his fingers against those of the opposite hands as he plotted his dark and terrifying story. “Why hello friends, fiends and ghouls alike! Have you come to be destroyed by me? No? Well then, I’ll just have to scare you out of your minds... And then destroy you of course, along with absolutely everyone and everything here!! Now then, our tail begins in the final days of a world now destroyed... The World of Ruin, from where the God of Magic himself hails...”Kefka waved his hands through the flames, twirling them throughout the fire as it grew brighter... Flaring around the Genocidal Jester as he began his tail. “Close your eyes, my pets, imagine my store and let the fear CONSUME YOU!! Hohohohohohoho... You awaken, cold, tired, and UTTERLY alone within the depths of a dark and desolate cave! The cold air blows through your hair, trailing across your skin and up your spine... Then there’s a laugh deep from within the cave... A dark, sinister laugh, one that fills you with so much terror, so much fear and sorrow that you immediately begin to flee from! Of course my dears, you don’t know where it’s coming from in the darkness, but you can try!! Don’t trip over the rocks, or fall into the lakes within the absolute darkness, don’t let the laugh distract you!! After all, you don’t want to die do you?!
WHOA-ohohohohohohohohohohohohohohohoHOOOOOOOO~!!!!
You run, run run run as fast as you can!! Better keep going, or you’ll be well done!! Into pillars of rock and walls of stone you collide, getting beaten and battered as you try oh so desperately to escape! The laughing grows louder, more insistent MORE EVIL!! Desperate feelings of despair grip you, refusing to let go as you realize the futility of your struggle... You continue to run, and then a wall!! You hit it hard, try to climb up it, you fall. All around you is stone, except where you came from of course. Are you willing to turn back? Face the villain you hear? You know he’s up to no good, know he wants you alive!! So you can escape, escape this hell!! But will you? Will you take your own life to save yourself?
No, no you won’t. As terrified as you are of the sinister darkness, you’re even more terrified of death!! Soon he’s upon you, his glowing crimson eyes setting their sights on you. You can almost see the silhouette of his face from the glow of his eyes, the light reflecting off of his dagger like teeth. You run backwards from it, back into the wall. You keep trying to move back, but you can’t... His chuckle slowly comes to a halt, and you can feel his ice cold hands as they cup your cheek, the side of your face... His hot breath against your neck, those daggerlike teeth trailing across the skin. Then you hear him whisper...“Don’t worry, my puppet... I’ll take good care of you, my dear... And together we’ll destroy everything...” Then the villain grabs you by your wrists, and slams them against the wall. He pins you there, both wrists in one hand as you hear him searching about his clothing for something. You grow even more fearful, terrified of what he might do to you next. But it’s not what you think child, no it’s something much more sinister than that...
You feel the cold steel upon your head, and suddenly your actions are not your own. Though you feel as panicked and afraid as before, he releases you and yet you do not shiver in fear, not attempt to run away. You lower your arms to your side, and speak what’s not your own thoughts.“What is it you wish of me, my master?” you ask him, and his sinister laugh echoes throughout the cavern.“Follow me, and slaughter the town at the base of this mountain!” He commands. NO!! You scream inside your mind, but your body nods and follows him out of the cave. You can’t possibly see him, or know how to get it but your body takes you there of its own accord. No matter how hard you try, no matter how much energy you put into it or how much you beg in your mind it doesn’t change the circumstances of what’s to come.
At the base of the mountain, you draw your sword... One by one you cut down the villagers, their terrified and confused faces filling your mind as your own emotionless one. The clown laughs as inside you are broken and torn apart, your family and friends literally torn limb from limb by your merciless hands. And when it’s all said and done... You stand in the middle of your town as it burns to the ground.
WHOA-OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOOOOOOOO~!!!”And with that, Kefka is gone... As if he was never there to begin with...
