[OOC: Guess it's up to me to set this scene.] The sky over the open areas of Radiant Garden, currently not so radiant, was overcast. Clouds, grayness, murkiness... You get the general idea. And not a soul in sight, or a sound beyond the whooshing of air as wind blew this way...or that. And then, finally, from high above...one could hear a strange sound. Okay, THAT was bizarre. Something flying overhead and... Oh look! Seems somebody stepped out for a moment. More like dropped out, really. The figure appeared to be in a maroon hooded sweatshirt and black jeans, a red-headed troublemaker... Yes, indeed. That is what he was. Roy Taban, or rather the Heartless of the same name, landed without ill effect from the high-up in an act of showing off. Unfortunately...there was no one to show off to. He turned to the source of the bizarre sound, already fading into the background. "Thanks for the ride! I can take it from here!"Except... Roy looked left, then looked right. And then, he looked behind himself to make sure. He listened intently to the sound of his surroundings, and then sniffed the air to see if he could pick up the scent of someone around. Nothing. "Where the hell IS everybody?!"The shout echoed and echoed and echoed... No response. He couldn't figure it. Wasn't there suppose to be a fight here? Was he in the wrong place? Nah, that can't be it. Maybe I'd better consult the script. Yeah, good idea. Wait, WHAT?! Yyyup, that's the fourth wall broken. Please enjoy this lovely intermission music while this gets sorted out. Roy began to rummage around in his pockets for the afore-mentioned script, and pulled out a folded bunch of papers held together by a big staple. He began to read aloud now. "'Exterior: Open Valley, Radiant Gardens. The Mad Hatter and his Cohort, having conspired to bring light back into the land, now prepare for battle against any who would stop th-' Oh, what is this? They're way off base! How am I suppose to do battle when there's nobody here?"Putting away the bunch of papers, Roy was clearly annoyed by this, but then he just shrugged at the situation. There was, after all, a solution. Cracking his knuckles, the Heartless now got to work. Looking over to an open spot next to him, he pointed his hand and ushered it up in a gesture not unlike a conductor telling a soprano to sing higher. That area suddenly became dark... It was shadowed, and then obsidian-like, and then a deep murky swamp of evil as it rose from the depths. First an arm, then another, pulling the body out into the open, then stepping out as if on stairs to draw itself to full height. It was a Darkside! Roy jumped onto its shoulder. "If they're gonna leave me unsupervised, then I'll make my entertainment where I can find it. Now, you go have fun and I'll take a nap. Wake me when the rampage stops."And with that, Roy took to feigning sleep on the giant's shoulder as it lumbered towards the city with intent to cause chaos, its fists either backhanding or smashing down on objects in the way. ------------------------- Summon Heartless - Summoned Darkside. No other Heartless can be pulled in by Roy until he's dead.

The day had been rather peaceful for the young Nobody as he relaxed in his “hometown”, Twilight Town. It was the first true break the Nobody had since stepping into the world once more and he had planned to enjoy that time amongst friends and familiar surroundings; however, relaxation only lasted for about thirty minutes. Just as he was on the edge of going to the ice cream stand for some sea salt ice cream before going to find Hayner, Pence, and Olette, he felt something almost physically pull him from behind. The strange tug was so random and out of place that the Nobody had stopped where he was and looked behind him as if he expected someone to be there; however, the Nobody’s eyes did not search the streets at all. Instead, they went to orange and gold sky. The Nobody could feel that something was wrong with a world out there, but where it was exactly was hard to tell. Leveling his eyes once more with his surrounding, Roxas moved from where he was to an unpopulated area of town. Raising his hand, he opened a Corridor of Darkness and stepped in making sure the path was shut behind him. Back in the Darkness, the Nobody focused on the feeling from before trying to pin-point where it had come from. A moment ticked by and then…there! It was the briefest presence of Light within an otherwise Dark world that showed him the way. Without hesitating, the Nobody headed towards the world that was in danger. ** A few moments later, a Corridor of Darkness opened up in an empty street within the world called Radiant Garden. From the Corridor stepped what appeared to be a young boy wearing clothing of white and black colors with blonde colored spiky hair, and piercing blue eyes. To a normal person, the boy was simple that…a child, but to those who knew of the shadows and the shells, it would be easy to see that the boy was not exactly human anymore. As he scanned the empty streets, emotionless as he concentrated on finding the Light that had brought him here, he quickly found that the source of Light was gone now leaving only the presence of Darkness that seeped out from the core of this world. The boy would’ve continued to believe he was alone in the world if he hadn’t caught the presence of something alive right before loud sounds reached his ears. Concerned, the young Nobody took off and towards the sound as the Corridor closed behind him. Moving down the streets were easy until the boy found himself sliding to a halt as debris from broken buildings blocked his way. Finding his way around the mess, Roxas’s mind worked to find a match to something that could cause the amount of damage that was being found in the place. This wasn’t from magic or a weapon. No, this was from— Roxas thoughts came to a screeching halt as he stepped out of an alley way and spotted the source of the problem. A little ways up the street was a large creature made of pure darkness with a heart shaped hole in its chest. Resting on its shoulder seemed to be a red head person who appeared to be sleep, but this matterd little to the Nobody. What did matter was the following: 1)The Light that had led him here was now complete gone, 2)The pair in front of him may not have matched anything in the boy’s memory, but they still radiated the prescence associated with Heartless, and 3) If he didn’t stop them now, they’d take down the place. Well, that was not going to happen as long as he could still stand and fight. Determined to elimate the Heartless threat and perhaps save this world from the Darkness that ate away at it, Roxas summoned Oblivion and then headed towards the large creature at full speed. As he neared the large beast, he took a swing at the creature’s right leg before sliding under it and slicing again at its other leg. He came out on the other side facing the beast. He was sure to leave space between himself and the large creature. With any luck, his blows would hit home and bring the creature down to its knees and perhaps even dislodge its sleeping summoner. Whatever happened, the young Nobody did not want to be caught under the large creature if it did fall or counter….

What this whole thing was...as of now...was this: Imagine if you will, a game where you are Godzilla. And we don't mean his Rampage knock-off, Lizzie. We mean the Big G himself, a walking disaster area that the collective armies of man, feats of technology, and other monsters are powerless against as he crushed everything in his path for some perceived reason which could be construed as a heavy-handed argument against the abuse of nature. A monstrous Heartless smashing its fists into Downtown Radiant Garden was a fairly decent parallel to this, in that it showed the dangerous of a weak heart made manifest. Here walked the behemoth of darkness creaqted by you, the viewing public. Well, there wasn't really much of anyone around right now, but that's still what it felt like. And the ensuing chaos made Roy relax. That is, up until...
Hmmm, that's strange... I suddenly feel a presence that I have not felt since...the End of the World, with that Magus. And yet, I feel this is going to be far different. It's noty even my double, I can tell...
So, here we around among Radiant Garden's neo-gothic structures - being wrecked - and out of an alley appears a newcomer... For the moment, Roy merely sensed the Nobody for what he was, not opening his eyes or anything. Shoot, he wasn't even gonna bother telling the Darkside what's up. He had to have felt a presence as well, so let HIM do something about it. So happens, the guy was quick and attacking from behind, so before you know it...the Darkside lurched from the Keyblade attacks. He didn't topple over, though, because those huge hams it has called arms dangle close to the ground as is. One arm prevented falling as the Darkside narrowed its gaze at the Nobody and emitted some sort of throaty growl. And...regardless of whether or not Heartless of his kind had the throat to do it with, the noise was for Roy's benefit, not Roxas'.
"Huh? Oh, now? Alright."
No, what WAS for Roxas' benefit - as Roy stretched from 'awakening' - was the sweeping arm attack from the irritated Darkside. The way it damaged the stoney ground as the arm went by to try and knock the boy aside was a testament to the immense physical strength one of these had. In the meantime, Roy got a good look at their opposition. This immediately made him confused, because the guy looked like...
"Vanitas?! No wait, you're not him. Who are you? And where's the Mad Hatter? That guy was suppose to be here a while ago!"
Yeah, Roy wasn't attacking yet. He'd been planning to do something before, but the full-stop appearance of the OTHER Keyblader - or a reasonable facsimile thereof - surprised him for a moment. Fortunately, that's what minions were for, leaving Roxas to deal with the Darkside's attack against him and that area of the ground.

The strikes from the keyblade hit home causing the large creature to lurch forward, but not fall as it caught itself with its large arms. The creature was agitated to say the least, growling in some sort of language the “sleeping” summoner could understand. Roxas heard the summoner reply to the creature before it made its attack. If it hadn’t been for the space between them perhaps the boy would’ve been knocked to the side by the blow; however, as he saw the sweep coming—with the ground being ripped up in the process—he jumped back with the arm passing by him harmlessly enough. He was still close enough for the flying debris to be a slight problem.
No matter how much he tried, a few pieces of stone hit him in the legs. The blows stung and would probably leave bruises later on, but outside of that the boy was fine….just very annoyed by the large creature and its master. In the brief calm between the two, Roxas’s agitation was turned towards the summoner of the creature as he spoke. He had called him a name…Vanitas. Who or what that was beyond the Nobody, but the fact that this Heartless had mistaken him for the other made Roxas assume that the guy probably looked liked him…just like Ven. Thinking about having yet another look alike or someone that resembled the Nobody closely brought the Nobody’s temper to a boiling point. First Sora, then Ven, and now Vanitas. Just how many people were out there that were similar or exact copies of him and why? Was someone trying to make clones or was their something deeper connecting all of them? It was an agitating question to ponder, especially in battle. It only made the Nobody angrier.
Just how angry the Nobody was came out in his voice when he replied.
“You know I’m really getting sick of people mistaking me for others,” he said his words cold daggers as he locked his eyes on Roy once more. “My name is Roxas, got it?” The last words were spoken in a near growl, but once they were out of the Nobody’s system he was moving again not bothering to answer the question about his ally. There was no logical explanation for why people gathered or vanished. It just happened. End of story. Besides, the Nobody was in no state of mind to try explaining anything in a calm manner, especially not to a Heartless. So he acted instead.
For his first move, he simple ran towards the giant Heartless before leaping into the air and swing his keyblade downward on the creature’s arm with such anger that if the creature hadn’t been so huge, the blade probably would’ve snapped a thinner arm off. From his first strike, he landed on the ground pretty close to the creature. Staying close, he went for the creature’s left knee still determined to get the creature to fall or buck off its summoner. Right now the big creature was simply in the way and needed to be removed.

“You know I’m really getting sick of people mistaking me for others. My name is Roxas, got it?”
Whuh-oh. Looks like someone has a berserk button with the naming here. Useful information for later, but nothing he was going to comment on at this time. Besides, the boy didn't look like he was up for talking that much anyway. For now, Roy observed his opponent's actions intently, keeping an eye on how he fought. One of the many uses of minions was to get a look at precisely this, to see how they handled things. The slash to the arm made the Darkside creature recoil and straighten up, and the slash at the leg afterwards caused it to step back in order to retain balance. Darksides did not fall over easily. Don't misjudge their build. If those smaller-looking legs can hold 'em up, then they don't get imbalances easily. The Heartless now looked to its master during this.
"Go wild, sure."
As if waiting for that acknowledgement, the big Heartless did so. The left arm moved now to harshly backhand at the Nobody by its left leg, sort of like how a wrecking ball comes into crush a building. A small target like Roxas would go flying if it struck. Roy could do something this point, but he wasn't ready to yet. It wasn't quite the opportune moment to interfere. He wanted to be able to surprise the guy at some point. And so, with his command in mind, the Darkside continued on after its arm-swing to face Roxas and summon energy. The empty spot in the middle of its body began to create and fire deadly energy blasts which could home on the target unto its explosion!

The Heartless did not go down, even with all the blows hitting it. Still agitated at the creature, Roxas heard the brief communication between the two and then the creature was attacking again. The backhand slash was not so easy to dodge thanks to how close the Nobody was to it when it attacked. As he attempted to get out of the way, the hand still caught him with enough force to send him flying into a building. With a small “oof” escaping him as he hit, the building -- weakened by the attacks from before -- crumbled a bit on top him. For a second, there was no movement from the pile of rubble the Nobody was under as he remained slight dazed for a second. Roxas was able to snap out of the daze just in time to hear the sound of energy being charged. Not wanting to be hit by whatever was going to happen next, Roxas pushed the debris off of him and was able to stumble away from his spot just as an energy blast hit. The shock wave from the blast knocked him off balance, but he kept moving, dodging most of the blast by waiting until the last moment to move.
He managed to raise his keyblade just in time to block one coming directly at his face. While the block worked well enough, the the blow hit hard enough to cause the Nobody to nearly fall over a large rock behind him. Moving from the rock as another blast came at him, the Nobody charged at the Heartless, despite the slight pain, small cuts, and small bruise caused from being hit by the large creature earlier. Taking advantage of those long arms that were now low enough for him to jump on, he pushed himself off the ground and began to head up the arm directly towards the summoner. Once he was close to the top, he pushed off the giant Heartless’s arm going into the air for a moment. Then he was coming down blade first right at Roy as if he was trying to slice the guy in half vertically.
If he hit the annoying summoner perhaps he could do some damage with the strike. If he missed and the guy dodge, then the Heartless would feel the wrath of the Nobody’s strike. If the guy blocked….well he’d just have to play that one by ear wouldn’t he?

And just look at that hang-time! It wasn't even a direct hit and the boy went flying! Oh yeah, this was the fun he wished he'd had with that ninja, Nero, but that Kupo-shouting pain in the neck wouldn't give him the pleasure. How is it that the little fuzzball with the Tanto was more trouble than this Keyblade-wielder? Good practice, maybe? Or perhaps the effectiveness of a giant lumbering oaf like Darkside? Good to see that Roxas was still in it, though. He really began to get into the thrill of it with the energy blasts. However, he noticed the guy getting close to one of Darkside's dangling arms... Uh oh. Trouble brewing...Before ya know it, the Keyblader was climbing the arm of the big Heartless and kicking off in order to get above both it and Roy. The downward swing of the guy's key-weapon was as inevitable as the gravity assisting him in the task. Had Roy been just a mere boy with powers, this would be a problem, but Roxas was in for a surprise... Oblivion clanked loudly against a similarly-black form, an arm of claws and metal that was both limb and weapon at once. It was attached to Roy, of course, and Roy looked very different all of a sudden. Dark attire, monster jaws over the heart-shaped hole where the heart should BE, boney quarter-mask on his face, mismatched eyes, and a more pronounced feeling of evil... This right arm of his that blocked, it parried his overhead strike in a backhanding motion with full and easy articulation. That was what the Dread Claw was good for. It wasn't exactly limited... "And...fall."The Keyblade forced aside and away from both Heartlesses, Roxas was probably already in for a fall, but we here inside Roy's mind strive for adding that little extra touch. With Oblivion squarely out of the way, in comes the left arm as he turns to try and knock Roxas even further away. And then... "Hey, big guy. Toss me!"Nobody tosses a dwarf! But...Darksides may toss a Roy. Picture if you will...Darkside picking up the smaller Heartless and turning towards Roxas as it winds up for the pitch...and then SHWOOOOMM!! There's a fast-moving Roy being flung at the Nobody with the metallic arm first, his own limbs giving off some sort of enhancing shockwave attack! ----------------------------------------- Darkside - Still 6 HP. Dread Strike - Cooldown begins next turn.

Human Heartless….unlike their creature counter parts who ran on predictable patterns and looks, the human ones could be full of surprises; however, for Roxas the surprises were more shocking than it would’ve been for someone who had dealt with human ones before. He had expected a defense of some sort from this summoner, so when his blade clanged against the metal arm of his opponent, he had not been too surprised; however, the sudden change in looks was enough to startle the Nobody a bit. There was a brief moment where time seemed to freeze as the pair came to a brief deadlock when one another. During this period of time, Roxas’s eyes widen slightly as he saw the true form of the summoner. It was a disturbing sight that was engraved into the Nobody’s memories rather quickly. Then the short moment passed and he was being knocked away by that arm. The force of the counter easily sent the keyblader stumbling back, his defense broken as he tried to maintain balance on the creature. Just as he had caught his balance, he saw that clawed arm coming towards him. Instinctively, he took a step back to not get hit and that’s when—like the Heartless had said before—he slipped right off the creature.
“Gah!” was all he said before he was heading straight for the ground. Perhaps a normal person without any experience in falling would’ve hit the ground quite painfully, but Roxas was anything except normal. The boy positioned himself to take the impact of the fall a few seconds before he was shouldering rolling in a thankfully debris free spot. As he rolled to his feet, he looked up just in time to see the summoner coming towards at a quick pace. Scrambling out of the way, he let the guy crash into the ground, taking care to shield himself from the rubble that shot up from the impact. Roxas had to admit the way the guy went through the ground as if it was butter was a bit worrisome; however, he had not been hit so for that he was grateful.
Looking from the Heartless on the ground and the big guy, he quickly tried to think of a way to get both of them; however, his answer came in the form of two Samurai Nobodies. The first appeared before the now landed Heartless quickly lashing out with its katana at the boy, hoping to injure him before he recovered. The second was a bit more hidden from view, but Roxas could sense it on the side of the Darkside. There was a distinct slicing sound as it began to work on taking down the larger creature down, while doing its best to not get crushed by any counters.
With a slight smirk, Roxas quietly thanked the Samurai for showing up when they did and then locked his eyes on the summoner. Letting the Samurai Nobody keep him distracted from the front, he came at the boy from the side. When he got close, he took a swing at the guy bring the blade across the ground with enough force to cause small sparks to fly before swing it upward. The teeth of the key aiming to cut into the Heartless’s left side. _______________________________________________________

When the momentum of the pitch stopped and velocities slowed to a minimum, Roy flipped to his feet out of the damaged area of the ground and sighed with some measure of accomplishment on his face. Why? Because he wasn't exactly sure how that one was gonna work and it was FUN. Really, the idea of Roy-Doken hadn't occurred to him until just then and let's just say it could've only been better for him if it had hit Roxas squarely in the face. But it didn't so...oh well. That was when...
"Hmmm?"
...two Nobodies appeared. That was strange. Did this boy have the power to call as well? True, he WAS a Nobody himself, but you'd think that in the case of a flipping giant walking around, he would've called in reinforcements sooner. Putting aside what Roy doesn't know about Roxas' abilities, though, there were still these Samurai. He could sense their emptiness. Holes in the world, they were. And apparently, one was making for HIM while the other was handling the Darkside. The first one had actually appeared before Roy actually stopped, but since it did this...it didn't know precisely where he was going to stop. Roy didn't himself, so that kind of makes sense.
The Samurai had its sword raised and striking none too quick, reminding him a bit more of Nero the Moogle-Ninja. But even if Roy hadn't been expecting it, backing up a step prevented more than a glancing blow. What can we say? It attacked from the front and Roy SAW him doing it. Even with so little time to react, there's always something. Further attacks were met with parries and blocks, to the point where he even showed off a bit, blocking with nothing more than his armored shoulder and a grin.
"I'm a mountain and you're a mole hill. Get a clue."
Speaking of clues, Darkside got one when the other Samurai slashed at it from whatever hiding place the Nobody had been in. The mammoth Heartless looked down and saw the new aggressor, and didn't need any command to know what to do next. The answer was obvious: Destroy it. Facing the Samurai, Darkside's big hands raised and then clapped together with exceptional force, intending to smash the Nobody in between them like a bug, even at the risk of being cut again (meaning that it could lose HP from this).
But all Samurai accounted for at the moment, we turn to Roxas, who was now approaching Roy from the left side. That was a good plan, actually. Get him occupied by drawing his attentions, make his minion focus on other things, and then approach with relative stealth- The grinding of metal against stone while raising sparks were impossible to miss even through his fight with the Samurai. Roy's right hand grabbed the katana blade tightly and Roxas would find a black sadowy mass fling out of Roy's body all of a sudden. What in the name of all that's holy...?! It shaped into a big monstrous jaw that clamped down HARD on Oblivion to stop it. The young man's head turned hauntingly towards Roxas with a scowl.
"Naughty, naughty..."
A second black mass appeared to 'backhand' the Samursi with significant force before coming up over Roy's head as an elongated limb ending in a...oh dear. So, these limbs could apparently poke out of Roy's body anywhere and move around uninhibited. They also appeared to shapeshift into different objects as needed, moving rather swiftly as they did so. The big monster-jaw preventing Keyblade-related comeupance was one example. The overhead battleaxe as big as Roxas' body was another, and so the Liquid Shadow appendage swung down at the Nobody!

To say the situation was getting really weird and chaotic was an understatement to what was unfolding on the somewhat ruined Radiant Garden. It was simply amazing that one Heartless could be so annoying. Perhaps it was because the Heartless was human in form that he adjusted so well to the attacks and had such power or maybe it was simply being out powered that made the situation seem an impossible win. Whatever the case was, Roxas was not going to relent. Outpowered or not, he would continue with the fight. So let’s focus on the results of the counters one at a time.
For the Samurai by the gigantic Heartless, the counter was almost successful. While the big beast had tried to smash the lesser Nobody between his hands, the shell was smart enough to get out of the way. The clap made a loud sound, but did not harm the Nobody that had hopped out of the way. Before the large creature could rise up again, the Samurai moved forward and swung its katana quickly, three times at the Heartless’s hands before moving in closer to strike twice more at its legs determined to finish the monster off. Whether the shell was successful or not was yet to be seen.
As for the second Samurai, the results were a bit more predictable. The creature had purposely charged the Heartless from the front fully aware that the boy would counter. As the pair fought, Roxas had tried to get in an attack from the side. Granted, the sound of metal against stone gave him away, but still even so being distracted by a moderately strong Nobody could keep the boy distracted, right? It wasn’t as if he could protect himself from all angles….or could he? The answer came as Roy caught the Samurai Nobody’s katana in his hand. As the blade was caught, the Samuari twisted the blade in the Heartless’s metal hand to free its weapon from the grip; however, successful or not, Roxas did not know for he was unexpectedly distracted by the black mass that came off the boy. As he neared the boy and made his strike, he found his blade suddenly trapped within a monstrous jaw. The impact of the jaw on the blade was hard enough to rattle the boy’s arm a bit as the shockwaves went from the blade to its owner; however, keyblades were pretty strong and thus the blade did not break. When Roy turned to him and spoke, Roxas didn’t show fear as their eyes briefly met. Instead agitation was written upon his face.
“Oh, shut up already!” he snapped angrily at the Heartless before trying to wiggle his keyblade free of the jaw. As he was struggling against the jaw, he briefly caught a second black mass smacking the Samurai, who had been distracting Roy, away. The creature had managed to save its katana yes, but being knocked across the area with such force did heavy damage to the creature. When it came to a stop, the Samuari picked itself back up before sheathing its blade and taking a sideways horse stance and leaning forward. It was not surprising to Roxas that the creature was deciding to go out with a bang rather than just kill over from the blow. Still, what it was about to do would take some time, so he needed to get free before—
What is that?! The movement of something from above caught the Nobody’s attention before he instinctively let go of Oblivion and dove to left a second before the giant ax slammed into the ground, tearing up the ground even more. A bit shaken by the near hit, Roxas got to his feet grumbling inwardly about the situation. He quickly looked at the mass and how many limbs it had before wondering how close he could get to the boy with it still around. Forming a plan, he held his hand out to his side. Oblivion vanished from the monster jaw and reappeared in his hand. With his weapon back, he cast Cure on himself, letting the spell take care of the earlier pain and close up the minor cuts that were on him. Feeling better, he focused on the human Heartless before acting on his plan. Charging forward, it looked like he was going to repeat the side charge again! Not slowing down, he continued towards the mass and Roy holding his blade to his right side with both hands as he ran. Since he was closer to the boy than the Samurai, Roxas hoped the Heartless would be distracted by his charge, giving his Samurai the time needed to act.
Whatever happened next, Roxas was more prepared to react this time. ___________________________________________________________ ~ Cooldowns ~

“Oh, shut up already!”
You could tell that he and Roxas were not going to get along by any degree. You may as well sign them up to become the new pair in a buddy-cop movie, if things were escalating in irritation this much. Still, let's look over our combatants, hmmm? In the case of Darkside VS the Samurai, the katana-wielding Nobody had the sword-style to get in its initial swings upon the lumbering giant. They don't build Darksides to handle quick opponents. If they HAD been, then Sora would not be alive. Nevertheless, the sudden straightening of the monster Heartless and the pulling back of its limbs...probably meant that its next attack wasn't going to make it. Why? Explosive energy shots. The heart-hole in its body glowed and fired upon the Samurai, though it might see its way through yet. We dunno.
Moving back to Roy and Roxas, we find the young Nobody annoyed by the actions of Roy...who defended himself more than adequately against a two-pronged attack. The situation of the two shall-combatants - the other Samurai and Roxas himself - was that the one had gone to focus its next attack and that the boy had backed off and simply remanifested the discarded Keyblade in his hands. Nice trick! Prevents theft and disarming all at once. Now, the only problem was that dang, this Heartless was versatile! For instance...Roy noticed something while Roxas healed himself: The Samurai wasn't on him again. Black masses shifted and one of them was on his back, with an eyeball forming.
"Oh ho..."
That looked entirely like he was up to something. Roxas charged forwards at Roy's left again. Yeah, we know it's more or less his weakspot, but you understand...HE knows that too! The second black mass was on Roy's left arm now, and it changed into a classic medieval-looking shield, quite possibly the Warner Brothers one...except that this one suddenly had spikes growing out of it as Roy leapt right at the Keyblader! At the same time, the back-mounted Liquid Shadow mass elongated towards the Samurai, a large scissor-like clipper growing right below the eye and attempting to cut the lesser Nobody in half!

The first Samurai Nobody did well enough against the Darkside its first three strikes hitting before it was being attacked with energy blasts. For the most part, the Nobody managed to dodge most of the blasts and moved in close to the Darkside, taking quick strikes at the creatures arms that were now within reach. As it worked, the Nobody was aware of the remaining blasts coming down upon it. It kept moving, but still couldn’t manage to fully escape the last blast. As it went to hop back, the last blast crashed into the ground close to the Nobody with enough force to knock it back and damage it lightly. Picking itself back up, the Samurai Nobody focused once more on the Darkside to see if it would remain standing or would fall.
Meanwhile the second Samurai was finished charging. With one last effort, the creature dashed with amazing speed towards Roy just as the large scissors with an eye came at it. As the blades opened up to slice the Samurai Nobody in half, the creature used is momentum to perform a powerful upward diagonal slash upon the scissors. The slash was powerful enough to slice clean through the scissors (if the mass was able to be cut that is) and cause severe pain to whatever was the true source of the mass. Whether it was successful or not was not known. For you see, just as the Samurai performed The End, the scissors snapped shut upon it. It was the final strike needed to cause the Samurai to fade back into the nothingness it had come from bring the number of fighters down to four (if the Darkside is still standing).
From the defeat of the Samurai, the focus of the battle turned to Roxas. As he charged at Roy, he saw the spiky shield a moment before Roy jumped towards him. Without slowing, the Nobody made a sudden right causing what could've been a painful shield bash to miss him as he went around it. Being sure not to move too far away from Roy, the Nobody slid to a slight halt before charging back at the boy and heading towards his unguarded back. As he neared, he aimed a horizontal strike into the opening. With luck he’d make the strike. If Roy guarded or somehow blocked the strike, then Roxas would adjust to the whatever the Heartless did next. _____________________________________________________________________________________
