Roy executed his ram attack as noted, spikey shield not hitting Roxas because oh...he didn't want to be skewered. Understandable. However, the moment Roy actually stopped? Total chaos. Let's break it down. First, he knew that Roxas was going to go for his backside, it being the next-exposed spot on his body. Back there, the Nobody could actually see his heart-hole that the mouth in front seemed to cover. Now, Roy had been planning to turn and swing at him, because Roxas was demonstrating some rather tenacious fighting right now. However, actions that occur at the same time dictate the response in this case. At that moment, the Samurai had sliced the middle of the clippers and the eye, so that extra vision went black as the snipping went on. And there was pain to boot. "Aaagh!"As stated, total chaos. The act of blinding the third eye - which collapsed into shadow-mass - along with the pain involved...because Roy could indeed feel everything his appendages did...caused the Heartless to lose a bit of control for a moment. Rather than a bit of parry-work, Roxas would find Roy's right arm clawing in around in his direction as Roy turned to face where the pain came from, the Dread Strike releasing without him even thinking about it. This gave the Nobody something to worry about, as the difference between the Dread Claw's attacks and how it is with the Strike attack were roughly the difference between Iron Man and the Hulk. So, Roxas was in danger of being backhanded across the screen[/i] landscape. As for Roy, both the answer to his unspoken question - What happened? - and the state of both the limb and the Samurai came thusly... He had to duck as about half a Samurai - already dissolving - flew past his head and saw that his clippers looked more like two cleavers now. Well, enough of this. He was going to... Huh? Oh, right. Before we get down to THAT business, let's get back to the business of Darkside and the other Samurai. What happened? Put simply... he won't be causing any more trouble. The power holding his darkness together faded and, with a groan, he fell forwards with a great CRUNCH onto the ground, where his body dissipated and its black essence certainly did NOT flow into some wandering kid with a sword. Back to Roy now. It was normally very hard for his appendages to take REAL damage or pain. Many of their forms were like stone or metal, but the Samurai's well-honed attack had gotten between the blades and struck an eyeball, so yeah. And to that cradit, as he was starting to feel a bit strained on the use of his limbs right now, Roy would use them one more time before he had to withdraw the things. They returned to him swiftly as liquid and were centered on his back now to create large wings, whose sudden rush of movement along with his jumping propelled him skyward a good manner of feet, easily out of his enemies' range. From there, however, the wings stopped being wings and were on his arms as shapeless masses again...before both elongating rapidly at Roxas as...as... big black spikey maces! They were as big as wrecking balls! Once they struck, Roy would land on the ground, not near his opponents as it had been a diagonal-motion strike from above and such. Roy, it seems, did not falter easily. He only got more excruciating. ------------------------ Dread Strike - Used by 'accident'. Darkside - No longer on the playing field. Liquid Shadow - 3rd turn.

Well there was a good side and a bad side to this whole situation. The good thing was the eye had been sliced and the clippers broken. Also, the hulking mass known as Darkside had gone down for good leaving only Roy, Roxas, and a single Samurai Nobody around. Roxas also managed to get around the shield and head towards the Heartless’s back which seemed to have an opening in the shape of a heart shape hole. He would’ve attacked said weakness if the bad had not happened.
First off, the Samurai’s successful attack upon the mass had been the end of itself and the clippers; however, Roy seemed to have felt the strike for he let out a yell of pain before instinctively reacting to the attack. Since Roxas was charging, he pulled himself to a stop as he saw the arm, powered up once more, come at him as Roy swung back. Using his keyblade as a shield, Roxas took a step back to try to avoid the blow; however, the claws of the arm managed to hit the keyblade with enough force to send pain shooting through Roxas’s arm before knocking him head over heels. The Nobody rolled a good ways away before coming to a rest near a wall.
With a light grunt, he got up shaking off the blow that had rattled his body. He was sore from the impact and more beat up from the roll, but thanks to the blow being a clip instead of a full blow, the Nobody had managed to survive with little damage done to him.
As he got back to his feet, the Nobody saw Roy grow wings and fly some feet into the air before he shot two large mace like objects towards Roxas. It was here that two things happened at once. First Roxas dodged one mace and let the second land dangerously close to him. Keeping his balance on the slightly rocking ground, Roxas leaped up on the closest mace and using it as an extra boost to get him high enough into the air to land on top of one of the buildings in the area. He landed with a light thud before getting back up and running along the close roofs, following the direction Roy was falling. At the same time, the Samurai Nobody was dashing across the ground towards the enemy. When Roy landed, he had two problems at once. The first was the Samurai warrior who had managed to cover the distance as it moved. When it was close to Roy it pulled its katana and made four quick slashes at the Heartless before moving back slightly and taking a defensive position watching the Heartless with empty eyes. The second problem was Roxas coming down at an angle from the a roof top near by. His keyblade was raised high as he came down with a downward slash. Missed or not, the Nobody would land on the ground watching his opponent carefully as he stood back up. There was a coldness in the Nobody’s eyes that told his enemy his anger was not driving him anymore. Instead, he had slid back into the warrior mindset that he held when he was with the Organization. He focused on his target with a plain and simple mission in mind: Get rid of the Heartless threat or get defeated trying. ___________________________________________________________

Truthfully, we can't tell if that hole is a weakness or not. Pure Heartless of the less-than-human variety have these and they don't appear to be actual weaknesses for them. Then again, it IS a hole in the body. And if you can do something with it, then perhaps there's something to it. Now then, Roy's fall was - of course - more of a landing, and so there was nothing to prevent him from noticing both the actions of Roxas and his Samurai. Now, he could have done something incredibly fancy to show off right here, but that was probably boring. Ergo, we'll just spice things up a little now. BAMF! BAMF! BAMF! BAMF! BAMF!Now, we're cooking! Some sort of smoke-and-energy release happened ahead of the Samurai and it hit shield. Namely, a shield with a three-eyed monster face held by an armored creature, a Defender. Something appeared behind Roxas in mid-air to slam into him and disrupt his downward slash, using bulk and velocity to try and knock him far enough away. A flying creature with tatter wings: Wyvern. And, a bit farther off, hoping to bear down on the boy and his swordsman...were three Magnum Loaders. Already, they moved to charge with energy prods sizzling and sparking. Of course, it was kind of inevitable that the Heartless would come out of the woodwork at some point, but the smile on Roy's face said that he had done it. "That's a bit more like it. Now, we can have ourselves a little FUN."As stated, the Magnum Loaders were headed straight for the two Nobodies on the field, two for Roxas and one at the Samurai's back. The Defender was fccused entirely on shield-bashing at the Samurai, keeping it off of Roy. The Wyvern was circling at the moment, waiting for an opportune moment to strike, currently not in physical reach. This left Roy, who was going to go on the offensive now. Regardless of how Roxas was fairing with his new playmates, picture now the Heartless leaping forward quickly to strike and slash at him with his clawed arm. ---------------------------------- Dread Strike - Resdy! Liquid Shadow - Also ready! Summon Heartless - Used to call upon Medium Heartless. They all have 2 HP. There is a four-post countdown before this power can be used again. No other Heartless may be called while this set lives. There will be no more Darksides in this thread.

The field had grown crowded once more as a group of five Heartless appeared on the field. As the Wyvern came at the falling boy, it would find that the boy was much more agile than he seemed. Sensing the danger from behind, Roxas managed to adjust his position in the air and dodge the attack. As the Wyvern wooshed by missing the Nobody by inches, Roxas landed on the ground unable to successfully hit his original target. The large creature flew low before turning and heading towards the sky again. With flyer above, Roxas focused on the situation at ground level. Two of the four ground creatures were coming his way. Focusing on the wheeled creatures, Roxas charged at the two, positioning himself so that he would be able to run right inbetween them. When he got close, he used his momentum to slid along the ground between them. Sliding between the two attackers, he lashed out twice at the one to the left and twice at the one on the right as he slid by. To one watching, the movements were quick horizontal strikes aimed mainly at the lower sections of the creatures. Whether the creatures were destroyed or not was not known to the Nobody, but at the moment he was not focused on the results. Instead, he focused on Roy’s move.
Getting back to his feet effortlessly, the boy swung his keyblade to block Roy’s swipe. The arm and keyblade met, causing a loud clanging sound to go through the area. There was a brief moment where the blade became slightly entangled with the those claws, but Roxas did not panic as he took the tangle and used it to perform another attack. To free the blade, Roxas took a quick step forward and pushed against Roy hoping to drive the Heartless back. With any luck, the Heartless would be off balance and wide open for an attack. Whether or not this was successful did not matter to the Nobody. With his blade now free, he kept moving towards Roy keeping the distance between them small. He thrusted his blade out aiming a stab at Roy’s stomach, hoping to damage or stun the Heartless with the blow.
Meanwhile, the remaining Samurai’s time was running out. As the Defender blocked its attack on Roy, the creature moved back watching the Defender carefully. When the larger Heartless tried to shield bash the Nobody, the Samurai did an unexpected thing. Instead of jumping back into the oncoming Magnum Loader, it leaped straight up into the air and did a flip over the one attacking from behind. Due to speed and range, the Magnum Loader had no time to avoid the shield bash intended for the Samurai. Landing, the Samurai saw the wheeled creature reeling back from the blow. Not giving it a chance to recover, the Samurai dashed forward and attacked the Magnum from behind with three quick strikes. Then the creature was jumping away and sheathing its katana before it vanishing back into nothingness.
If all had gone well, the Magnum Loaders would no longer be a problem; however, Roxas was not believing in luck at the moment. He was finding no matter what he did, the Heartless managed always to adapt. Alone, Roxas’s focus increased as his senses took in what was going around him, preparing him for anything the Heartless did next. _____________________________________________________________________________________ ~ Cooldown ~[/u]

This was a problem. A math problem, actually. Objects A and B are speeding at Object C at an accelerating rate, capable of motorcycle speeds as per the design. Object C is on foot and rather spry and agile, but not as fast, per se. At what point do the three Objects meet and how much damage can Object C inflict on the lower ends of Objects A and B in passing? Well, the answer to this is that the two Magnum Loaders are essentially, for the boy sliding between them in the opposite direction, there and gone in an instant. They could not be unsuspectingly attacked to death that quickly, because their intent had been to ram and shock Roxas into a wall...in which case they had missed and kept on going for a bit. Kudos to Roxas for the stunt, though. They didn't expect that. In fact, the two Heartless now appeared to be arguing...and while they did not have voices, you would probably expect a red and blue pair of evil robots to sound like THIS. That aside... Magnum Loader #3 actually saved himself from a bit of trouble because he went in, prods first, and both did no damage to the Defender and received none. That said, the Heartless was rather luckless afterwards as the fading Samuri did him in from behind. Bit of a waste, that. So, that's him down. The Defender was, of course, unharmed. The other Heartless began to do their own thing as Roy and Roxas fought each other. The clangs of Keyblade against Dread Claw resounded loudly as the Wyvern went for the Red ML and the Blue ML was circling around behind the Defender... Well anyway, Roxas' push didn't make Roy stumble. He was good on his feet and knew when to brace or lean into something to keep from falling over. That's what agile folk do. For instance, that forward thrust... Well, aside from anything else, Roy saw that coming and slammed his right arm down on it to launch himself up and over in a pole-vaulting maneuver with the Dread Strike to REALLY throw Roxas off balance. This is did in order to move away from the kill-zone... "Ole'!"...just as the heavy wheel and rest-of-the-bulk of the red Magnum Loader came slamming down towards Roxas from above! What in the HUH? Where did HE come from? Well, that's the thing. The Wyvern grabbed the robo-Heartless with its talons a moment ago and brought it up to a higher elevation...where it dropped the sucker at the young Nobody. The blue Magnum Loader had, in the meantime, driven around behind the Defender with a new plan, which was to pick it up, let it ride, and zoom towards Roxas with the monster-shield in front. Oh, and it was spitting its fireballs at him as well. You see why Roy got out of the way? He was now flagging down the Wyvern for something. Looks like the boy's got something ELSE up his sleeve now. Won't find out 'till later, though. --------------------------------------- Dread Strike - Used in a manner of distraction and escape. Summon Heartless - 1st cooldown post. Green ML - Dead. Red ML - 1 HP left. Blue ML - 1 HP left. Wyvern - Undamaged. Defender - Undamaged.

((Lol. Hack and Slash. It's been ages since I’ve seen ReBoot. Thanks for the good laugh and memories. ^_^))
To say that lesser Heartless are dumb would be a big mistake. When they wanted to, the lesser Heartless could actually show a bit of intelligence. Take this situation for example. Despite only destroying one of the group, the remaining four quickly formed a plan that would’ve been the end of person not use to being outnumbered. Unfortunately for the group, the training from solo missions during the Nobody’s time with the Organization was beginning to pay off big time. As Roxas stabbed out at Roy, the human Heartless managed to clamp down on his keyblade with the metal arm before flipping over him. The move was smart for it did succeed in knocking Roxas off balance; however, instead of trying to catch his balance the young Nobody let himself fall to forward, turning the otherwise embarrassing fall into a forward roll. As he came up in a crouch facing the direction Roy was in, he heard a loud crunching sound directly behind him and turned to see that one of Magnum Loader had been dropped from above in attempt to crush him. He glanced up and saw the Wyvern gliding above. An agitating creature that would soon fall, but for now he had another problem. As he focused back on the Magnum Loader, he found himself having to dive out of the way of a fireball coming his way. The fireball missed, but others were coming his way, so Roxas quickly got to his feet and began running in a strange zig zag pattern towards the group, fireballs barely missing him. Once he was close to the lone Magnum Loader, he slid to a halt for a brief second.
Whether or not the Magnum Loader thought he was making himself a target or not was beyond the Nobody nor did it really matter if it attacked or not. What did matter is what happened next. Without warning, Roxas lowered himself to the ground and swept his leg under the big wheel of the Magnum Loader. As expected, the creature fell over, but instead of staying where he was and finishing the down beast. Roxas moved quickly to the side letting the still charging Magnum Loader and Defender zoom past.
He watched as the Magnum Loader tripped over its downed friend and lost its grip on the big guy. As the big guy flew, the two Magnum Loaders remained in a tangled mess on the ground. Not giving the pair a chance to get back up, Roxas made a wide horizontal slash at the down foes that would hopefully finish the pair for good. Then moving away, he focused on the Defender who had landed with its back to him. Going for the exposed back, Roxas began to charge at the big creature….

Roy almost winced at the manner in which the Magnum Loaders fumbled into each other like that, but it's a little hard to put on the breaks sometimes. And then, Roxas ended them in a hurry. That left them three Heartless down, three to go if you're counting their head-honcho. Speaking of which, though, you were figuring him on doing something, right? Well...yes, actually. As the Nobody boy was going for the Defender's exposed back, a funny thing happened then. Something swift came by and tried to whallop him in the face! And then, the Defender was gone! Hold on, you! Give us that again in slow motion... Well now... It seems that our boy, Roy, was riding the Wyvern, Hobgoblin style! The idea was a right-handed punch to the face while zipping on by and using the Wyvern's claws to yank up the Defender...which would lead to trouble later as they took some altitude and Roy jumped off some feet from Roxas, arms crossed and a smile on his face. "I think I get it now. You see, most people have an ebb and flow of power. They get their adrenaline and whatnot, and then they need a moment of recovery. Not you, though. That there Keyblade of yours is a constant edge, isn't it? Sort of like Ye Olde Dread Claw here, in a way, but more magic."He made a gesture with his right arm and a grin. "But you've got a real problem on your hands, doncha'? You're a Nobody, someone else's body trying to be a real person. And here I am, somebody's evil essense doing same. The difference? Heh...you take this WAY too seriously. Heh heh heh..."What's this? I hear the sound of fireballs incoming from above! The Defender was now blasting away with impunity while in the Wyvern's clutches! "Have a little fun with your life! I DO!"Roy jumped up and two black masses formed around him, combining to form a LARGE recreation of a Magnum Loader's wheel, with grinding treads and what appeared to be slots all through the middle so he could actually see where he was going! So, after the fireball volley was over, this thing revved up on its own like a spin-dashing hedgehog - grinding up stone in the process - and zoomed at Roxas with the intent of mowing him down! ----------------------------------------- Dread Strike - Cooling... Summon Heartless - 2nd cooldown post. Liquid Shadow - VROOOM!!!Hack and Slash - Fell apart (again). Wyvern - Undamaged. Defender - Undamaged. Eventually, one of these combinations is gonna make Voltron.

((Lol))
Magnum Loaders down? Check. Defender successfully attacked? Failed.
Just as Roxas was about to strike the large creature, he suddenly found the creature gone and an attack aimed at his face. It was sheer luck that he was able to get his keyblade up in time to block an otherwise painful blow. Off balanced from the blow, Roxas took a step back and adjusted his weight to keep from falling. Once balanced, he watched as Roy jumped off the flyer and landed a few feet away from him and began to speak with that annoying smile on his face. As the Heartless spoke, Roxas’s eyes narrowed as he coldly glared at the human like creature.
As he spoke of how people had energy sources and needed time to recover during a battle, Roxas began to wonder where he was going with this. Then the words turned towards the keyblade being his source of power that gave him an edge over others in battle, an interesting observation that the boy had never really considered. Sure, the keyblade could be a source of power, but the Nobody felt no change when using thing. He simply knew that it was a weapon bound to him alone, bowing to no one else for whatever reason. Magical? Maybe. Roxas couldn’t say nor did he feel like trying to figure out the strangeness of the weapon. All he knew was that it was a reliable weapon that felt like a burden rather than a gift. Still, he wasn’t going to complain about the curse. In the end, the keyblade helped him get rid of Heartless and protect those he cared for from mad people and things like Roy. No, the boy highly doubted the keyblade was the source of his power.
“I couldn’t say,” the boy replied coldly. “It could be the keyblade or it could be that I am simply determined to get rid of creatures like you.”
There was a brief pause, a grin and then the mistake on the Heartless's part. As Roxas listened to the next set of words, all he could see for a moment was red. The fury from before flared up in him as once again, he heard someone else try and explain what he was and what he was trying to do. As if they knew anything about him! Trying to be real? Ha! He was as real as a Somebody. He was a living breathing thing despite the minor issue of not having a heart. He had feelings and people he cared for. He enjoyed life and did have fun. Yeah when things like the Heartless weren’t trampling everything wonderful in life! In any case, the boy did a surprising thing. Instead of lashing out at Roy in rage, he let the rage settle into him adding an extra boost to his already strong determination. His eyes became icy as a deadly grin appeared on his face.
“You sure do know a lot about the way things work, don't ya?” he asked coldly and then the sounds of an attack reached his ears. Just as Roy jumped up, Roxas began to move. Running away from the firing Defender above, Roxas dodged here and there to keep himself from getting hit by the heated balls. As he ran, he took note that Roy was doing something behind him, but did not pay the Heartless any mind for now. Instead, he headed towards a building directly in front of him. Once he was close to building, he adjusted himself to run up the building.
As he ran up the building, he had managed to get to the roof just as the fireball attack ended. Thinking he was safe, he took a glance at the battlefield... and saw the big wheel thing that was Roy coming towards him!
Thinking quickly, Roxas scanned the area and spotted a building a few feet away. It was a risky jump, but at the moment the boy didn't have a choice. Taking his chances with the building, Roxas took a few steps back and then took a running leap towards the building. It was a near miss, as his hand shot out and thankfully grabbed onto the edge of the other roof. There was a brief moment where the boy struggled to hold on to the roof with his one hand. Not wanting to fall, he threw his keyblade onto the roof and used the momentum of the throw to swing himself enough to grab on with his other hand.
Grunting the boy pulled himself up to the roof just as Roy leveled the building he was on seconds before. Sure, the people of Radiant Garden were going to be furious at the damage being done, but at least for the moment, he was still alive.
Refocusing on the problem at hand, he quickly got to his feet and picked up his keyblade as he made a plan in his head Following the Wyvern and Defender's flight path, he began to move along the buildings again. His plan simple enough: he would continue to move along his path, so that he would meet the circling pair when they came the closest to the building. If successful he'd hopefully be rid of the pair. The problem? The plan only seemed easy when it was in the head, but actually successfully doing it with a moving target? Well that would take perfect timing. There was no room for error. Still, he had to try something.
Anyway, as he moved, he began counting down his moment to jump at the pair. If he miscaculated even the slighest bit, he would fail at taking the pair down, fall, and still have a giant wheel to deal with. Not a fun idea in the Nobodies. As he came closer and closer to the pair, he began focusing even more on not jumping too earlier or too late. 1..2...3!
Roxas leaped from the building just as the Wyvern began its turn in the sky. Graceful or not, the hulking mass that was the Defender still swayed close to the building with the momentum of the flyer's turn and it was the big guy Roxas was aiming for.
Using his keyblade for extra reach, he managed to latch onto the Defender. To say the added weight caused chaos was an understatement.
The Wyvern began to swing around trying to dislodge the keyblader while the Defender did its best to shake the keyblader off. It was an interesting fight as Roxas struggled to hang on and not fall to his doom on the giant wheel below. By some miracle, Roxas managed to climb up the Defender and grip the thrashing Wyvern’s leg with one hand before bringing his blade up and lashing at its underbelly. Natrually, the Wyvern lost its grip on the Defender as it focused instead on getting rid of its pain. The Defender fell to where, Roxas didn’t know, but hopefully it would’ve landed on or in front of the wheel below. That way it could get damaged or crushed along the way. In any case that didn’t matter as Roxas continued to hold on to the thrashing Wyvern. Waiting for the shaking to subside, Roxas took one more swing at the blasted creature and then the pair of them were going down, crashing into a pile of rubble. Whether or not the Nobody or the Heartless survived was yet to be seen. What was known was that there was currently no movement from the area the pair had crashed in….. ___________________________________________________________________________________ ~ Cooldown ~[/u]

The situation with Roxas was something of a puzzler. Roy had tried for a deliberate attempt to irk him and cause the boy to make mistakes. Possibly it wasn't working? He'd given a retort which...didn't really affect Roy, and it wasn't certain to the Heartless whether he'd gotten to him or not. Perhaps Nobodies can't BE gotten to? Possibly... Still, the case of Roy versus Roxas continued as Roy destroyed an entire building with the wheel-of-doom and Roxas himself latched onto his flying pair above. We must focus on that for a moment, because there's some clever work going on way up there. As soon as he got on and started disrupting things, the Wyvern - though strong - began to thrash a bit from the added weight. It was already carrying a heavy-duty Heartless with a big old Captain America shield. It didn't need to add young boy to the list. Nobodies weren't empty calories. Roxas weighed. Ergo, the Defender tried to force him off and the Nobody managed to grab a Wyvern leg and slash said Wyvern...which dropped the Defender down below. Meanwhile, the claws OF said Wyvern were trying to pull apart Roxas face before he could attack the thing. However, he DID go through with the attack and...oh crap. Now, he's faaalllliiinnnggg!!! As soon as he destroyed the Heartless, gravity gave him a little reminder of its presence by promptly pulling him in a downward direction, towards the- Boing! Uh oh... Okay, don't panic, but looking down...reveals that the Defender hit a powerful springboard created by Roy and that it was accelerating back up to meet Roxas halfway, the monster jaws of the shield chomping away. Additionally, Roy had given up his wheel for razor-sharp wings on his arms...which he used to fly up at Roxas and take swift fly-by-slashes right after the conclusion of the Defender problem. The sheer velocity and the sharpness of the wings would be uhhh...fairly nasty. ------------------------------------------ Dread Strike - Ready, willing, and able. Let’s rewind the action before the crash shall we? Roxas had managed to latch onto the flying duo and caused the large Defender to fall to his unknown fate below. The flyer, on the other hand, was attacking with its claws as Roxas did his best to hang on, block blows, and strike the creature….a feat that the Nobody made look really easy, but in reality had a heck of a time pulling off. For one, when you are hanging onto something that is determined to get you off by swinging about violently, the swinging eventually begins to work on your arms. Holding on with both hands gave a person a better chance of not falling; however, Roxas was holding on with one hand, so it was needless to say his arm was beginning to ache and his grip began to slip. Now combine this with claw attacks from the free leg. Yeah…hanging on became pretty painful and hard. As Roxas moved his blade to keep said claws away from his face, the strikes managed to dig into his sword arm pretty deeply.
The pain from the attack caused the Nobody to wince and want to let go; however, the instinct to survive and his determination to get rid of the flyer gave the Nobody the strength to hold on. A few more blocks and two successful blows later, the Wyvern was defeated…bring us around to the problematic fall. Roxas did not hear, the boing as the Defender was bounced into the sky by Roy, but the boy did see the huge mass coming at him with its shield gnashing its teeth as it came. It was here that time slowed down in the Nobody’s mind.
As the Defender met him half way, Roxas moved his keyblade right into the jaws of the creature’s shield. As the jaws clamped down on his blade, Roxas saw Roy coming his way with razor wings from the corner of his eye. Reacting quickly, Roxas used the closed jaws of the shield to his advantage. Shifting himself in the air and using a good amount of strength, Roxas switched positions with the Defender, putting it in the way of the attacks meant for him. Whether or not Roy had saved or destroyed the Defender, Roxas did not know or have time to see before time speed up and he was crashing into a pile of rubble below. The landing was painful, considering he had no time to brace himself for the fall.
A few seconds after the landing, Roxas remained motionless as he did his best to come back to his senses and figure out just how much damage had been done to him. He didn’t feel anything broken, but the claw attack and fall had left some pretty nasty cuts on the boy….a painful annoyance that could be fixed somewhat.
From the motionless pile that Roxas had fallen in, there was a light glow of green as he cast cure once more upon himself. The spell managed to seal up the wounds somewhat and give him a bit of energy to fight some more; however, it was not strong enough to erase all of the damage done to him over the course of battle. Still, sore Roxas came from under the pile he had been buried undered and looked around the area to see what had happened with Roy and the Defender. As he scanned the area, he summoned his keyblade back to him. _________________________________________________________________________ ~ Cooldown ~[/u]

[OOC: Sorry about the delay. Headache. Couldn't think.]
That poor, poor Defender... He'd done so well as a support unit, much like the Wyvern before him, that one could almost say that he did not deserved to be janked in the back, twice. Yes, that's pretty much how it happened. Roy had been flying so fast and had been so keen on cutting that Roxas' move to use the minion as a meat shield was totally effective, leaving the main Heartless to hover there as the Nobody plummeted, saying only...
"Whoops. Dopey me..."
Okay, this wasn't exactly a human tragedy. Emblem Heartless werre less than REAL Heartless to him. They were manufactured darkness in a can using a label that was pleasing to the eye for wherever they appeared next. It was a jug of water, the darkness being that water. Frankly, Roy wasn't even concerned for the loss of a Darkside when it happened. There are literal billions of them out there. And frankly, he WAS Heartless, so can you truly be surprised? He also enjoyed watching Roxas fall into rubble. In fact, he sblack personed as a blade-wing slashed at a building nearby to send MORE down at him!
Now seems to be the right time to put on the pressure. A little regain of the old ebb and flow, and then it's crunch time.
You can tell that he's not thinking of a positive work ethic in which employees attempt to work faster and harder in the dwindling hours of a deadline. No, this was the happy-go-lucky plan to get mean with the boy. Oh, he'd shown off quite a bit by now, asserted himself as the big monster on campus, but do you know what would REALLY drive the point home? A little more ruthless behavior, starting errrm...NOW!
So, directly after Roy's interpretation of 'Rocks fall, everyone dies', he swooped down and drove a kick at him...where the kicking leg ended in a Liquid Shadow mass forming into - bad memory time - a large version of the Wyvern's talon-foot that would attempt to claw/crush Roxas as it left deep grooves in the ground. The immediate follow-up is that Roy's left arm formed and swung a freakishly-large war-blade in a side-swing in an attempt to cut the boy apart! This was how the current itertion of Liquid Shadow would end. And when the black masses disappeared...Roy was snickering with his back turned to the Keyblader.
Now, let's see how this boy thinks... Does he think me open? Using a bluff? A double-bluff? A TRIPLE-bluff? I wonder...
-------------------------------------
Liquid Shadow - 3rd post of use. Next turn, cooldown phase. Bwa ha ha ha haaa...
Summon Heartless - 4th cooldown post.
Defender - Ummm...whoops.

((Understandable. Nice to see you back.^^))
Roxas’s eyes locked on the Defender just as it got slashed by the maniac that was Roy. The creature was destroyed, so that was a plus in the boy’s book. The playing field had been even somewhat, but now he had to find a way to deal damage to Roy. The human Heartless had only been hurt once, but as far as damaging the guy severely… everything he had done failed. The guy just had a way of blocking whatever he threw, making this battle tiring and painful for the Nobody, but he refused to give up. Pushing down the fatigue that was settling on him, Roxas focused on Roy’s next move. Typical, Roxas thought as Roy made a strike that brought yet another building down. Moving quickly, Roxas managed to survive the avalanche of rock and metal without taking any damage, but just barely.
Before the boy could recover from the first attack, Roy was coming with another. Down the Heartless’s came foot first…uh, rather giant talon first. Roxas hopped out of the way as the claw came crashing down into the ground. Shielding himself from some of the debris, Roxas began to move back towards the claw quickly. Before the claw could get out range, Roxas moved forward and swung his blade downward in an attempt to hit the giant claw. The chance of him missing? Well, that simply depended on what the Heartless did next. While logic dedicated that a large target had a high chance to be hit, Roy hear defied logic, so anything could happen with the simple move.
In any case, the giant war blade that followed was barely dodged as Roxas backed away as quickly as he could. Staying close, Roxas attempted once more to make a strike at the mass this time, aiming to smash the blade with a diagonal downward slash. Again, if the strike hit was another matter entirely. In any case, Roy landed with his back to him snickering. A trap perhaps or maybe not. In any case, Roxas did not take the bait and attack. Instead, he did another odd thing. Acting as if this was simply a chance to catch his breath after a long sparring match, Roxas fell into a relaxed stance, swing his keyblade slightly before him as shifted from one foot to the other for a moment. The key chain on his blade jingled lightly as it moved with his movement. For Roy, whose back was to him, the sounds would seemed to be non-threatening, but anyone who knew him well would know that his calmness in battle was even worse than having him angry. At least with anger he would attack blindly, but in this state of calmness with his emotions hidden under a mask of emptiness? There was no telling what the Nobody would do. When Roy did finally turn around, he would find Roxas watching him with a slight smile his face.
“Not bad. For a Heartless, but what else can you do?” he asked his tones surprising light and friendly. It was almost as if he saw the Heartless as a rival rather than a monster trying to kill him, but a closer look would tell a different story. There was no fear in the boy neither was there respect for the Heartless. The words he had spoken a few seconds ago were a simple challenge for the Heartless to do his worst. The boy’s plan to deal with said attacks? No could tell. _____________________________________________________________________________________ ~Cooldown~

To continue, it is important to perhaps get into the mindset of Roy's use of Liquid Shadow. Its properties, magical in nature, operate according to certain laws and thus require his attention on them constantly. Their forms and uses are a testament to the imagination of the user, as well as the degree of the control. The darkness within Roy comes from the monster which had been living inside his real self, and thus passed to his Heartless. But these shiftable emanations of shadow - while varied - are consistant. And the fact that Roy must take a breather in between uses also shows that he is still growing in strength. So far, though, you would say he manages it well. How he uses them... The power comes from within. He calls upon the darkness and, with his mind, he shapes it. My arm ends in a huge double-edged sword...and so it would do so according to the image of his mind, and thus take on the properties of such a blade, unbending unless he were to desire alteration to it. The claw I thrust is giant and like the Wyvern...giving him the talons of the flying Heartless from before, but larger. It is flexible and more subtle in motion. Roy's power makes things according to design. He made an eyeball with scissors so he could see what he was cutting. He made jaws clamp down on the Keyblade before because it was his first instinct at the time. He has to feel all of it, of course. Everything that the Liquid Shadow hits in whatever form. He's practiced, though, gotten use to the regular stuff. If nothing else, Roy is use to feeling them as extensions of his body. So! How were things affected? Well, the claw was a pseudo-flesh thing and thus frigging hurt when struck by the Keyblade. Striking the blade would feel much less to Roy as it was a thing of metal. How does metal feel, once struck? Does it hurt? Possibly, but not very much. Even still, damage done to the masses of shadow were not...the same as actually harming Roy. It had all the feel, but as soon as the masses were gone... Well, he wasn't actually damaged himself, was he? These things were for his protection. They were his wily arsenal of doom. And actually...Roy didn't turn around at all. Seemed to him like Roxas was going to pull something if he did. “Not bad. For a Heartless, but what else can you do?”Back still turned to him, Roy snickered. "Oh, I'm the best kind of Heartless. No great mystery to solve beyond 'Oops, the human me screwed up', no more purpose than to do whatever I like to anyone I like. By that thinking, I can do anything... You know, I had been worried about these Keyblades, but how hard can it be to out-think a key-shaped SWORD?"Hmmm... Let's see, it wasn't sunny around here, so Shadows were almost not casting, and he wanted to try out a little something. Before Roy, the Corridor of Darkness formed. And high up, out of sight...in accordance with Roy's concentrations...the exit portal formed. You could use this in a fight if your opponent doesn't disrupt your thinking too much. And since he wasn't using his other powers at the moment, that made this even easier. How did that line go? Now, you're thinking with portals... "I'm not worried now. Be seein' ya."Wait, did he just make that one hand-sign that- Yes, he did. And with that, he...stepped through the portal. Roxas wouldn't be able to see beyond its darkness to know, however, that he wasn't giving up. No no no no no... He was a number of feet off of the ground now, falling towards the courtyard they'd been fighting. A grin on his face, Roy did nothing as he plummeted towards Roxas but thrust his Dread Claw's fist forwards down at him. The thing he wanted to test out was just how good the Nobody REALLY was. If he had no warnings, practically no sounds or hints that something was wrong, would he notice or would he get a little of 'Death From Above!'? The Dread Strike would be used in this test as well. In short, FUN! ---------------------------------- Dread Strike - Just used it. Liquid Shadow - Cooling... Summon Heartless - Complete!

Roxas hadn’t planned to attack even if the Heartless had turned around, so when the guy decided not to turn at all the Nobody didn’t make any fuss about it. No outburst just silence as he waited for a reply to his question. He could hear the guy snickering, but didn’t lash out at this show of confidence that would’ve annoyed the boy under normal circumstance. Fortunately or maybe unfortunately for Roy, the energy required to hold up anger was spent, leaving truly an unfeeling shell behind. When Roy spoke, Roxas rolled his eyes slightly at the words. The best huh? Not exactly the words he would’ve used for the Heartless, but whatever. What he thought did not matter right now. Roy finished talking ending with a question that told him just how much Roy underestimated a keybearer. It was not unusal for enemies to do this, especially with him. After all, the Nobody was not at full power, so he couldn’t unleash his true strength upon the Heartless. A sad fact, but there was nothing he could do about it at the moment. Anyway, back to the situation.
“Why don’t you find out your answer then by making a move?” Roxas responded back in calm voice. As soon as the words were out, the Heartless did a seemingly strange thing. Instead of attacking, the guy made what seem like a surrendering statement before stepping into a Corridor of Darkness and vanishing from the field. As tired as Roxas was, he was no fool. The Heartless was still in the fight whether or not he was seen or not.
Holding his keyblade loosely in his hand, the Nobody closed his eyes and simply listened to the area around him. There was mostly light wind and the sound of something or the other burning and spraying water. Ignoring the distracting noises, Roxas focused, listening for…there!
The light rustling of fabric going through the air and the slight hum from a technique being used…yes, Roy was back and coming down from above it seemed. Roxas’s blue eyes snapped opened as he moved quickly to the side, causing Roy to miss with his deadly strike. Keeping his momentum, Roxas spun back towards Roy bringing his keyblade down quickly upon the Heartless before the creature could recover. As soon as the down strike was finished. Roxas brought the blade back up aiming for the Heartless’s face…. ________________________________________________ ~Cooldowns~
Everything is done cooling and ready to use again.

Missed him by that much. Roy didn't give him much to work with when he came down, so we can pretty much eliminate sneak attacks from the repertoire unless he's properly distracted. Funnily enough, the same could be said of our boy, Roy. Now then, this impact with the ground - fist-first - made a personal crater in the ground, sending debris and rock up and away from where the Dread Strike hit. Had it been his left hand, this wouldn't be happening. Of course, there was only ONE REASON why Roy would ever do something so daring and even stupid that he would be left open. And that is because...he wasn't. This was probably becoming frustrating for Roxas, but the reason that Roy had taken so little damage - the reason he seemed to check himself so well - was that he expected his opponent to be upon him right then and there. So, Roxas, if you're ever in the company of a strange ninja who goes "Kupo!", you can blame him. Roy has had to deal with a more problematic foe than you. What happened? Very simple. Enough pacing and enough of a breather, keeping some of his abilities in reserve or on delay, and Roy managed to keep himself far from helpless most of the time. He did get rather hurt that one time, such as the tanto in his foot. So, when Roxas moved in to attack before Roy could recover or get up, he would find that Roy was not doing these things. He was more or less stonewalling the boy, literally. A small barrier of black bricks came out of his body and made Oblivion raise sparks, not pain or anguish. And when he raised his Keyblade to strike down at the face of Roy, Roy had had the time to figure out how to react to that attack. Given that he had an armored hand and he was below Roxas, the first thought in his mind was to grab the thing and use the Nobody's momentum - plus the shadowy-mass swinging his own body around - to hurl him away. And from there... Houston, we have a problem.Roy rose out of the hole, his lower-body using Liquid Shadow to encase his legs in something like the lower-half of a Magnum Loader, making him effectively sitting in a maneuverable and destructive one-wheel metal chassey like the Heartless itself, but a little bigger and all-shadow. His left arm was now ending in a very deadly-looking chainsword. His right arm was...well...still his right arm. It was handy. Coming from the back of his shoulder blades, however...were a pair of large three-eyed demon heads on extending tendrils. Uhhh...basically? Roy had been holding back. Two Liquid Shadow formations, he could use and recover from relatively quickly. He was not under any sort of strain with those dynamic things. With four, he would have to rest more after their duration was up. But...maybe he wouldn't have to. "DINNER TIIIME!!!"He was out of the pit even as the extending demon head limbs shot forward at Roxas, snapping viciously at him right and left, trying to take chunks out of him. All the while, the chainsword was now going as Roy sped towards the Nobody, closing the distance extremely rapidly. Once he WAS in swinging range, the left arm swung the deadly sword in from the side in a swift wide arc. It was followed...by Roy gripping the ground with his right arm specifically so that he could use the momentum of that swing to follow up with a sweeping wheel kick that would end with him going back upright again. Give a man a little creativity and a shapeshift power and he can cause chaos in rapid succession. -------------------------------------- Dread Strike - Cooling down. Liquid Shadow (Full Strength!) - Starting NOW! Ohgodohgodohgod...
