Deumion ducked behind yet another building as the various spotlights all over town tried to pinpoint his and his apprentice's exact location. He'd been in Vector for nearly two days now and had managed to dodge conflict thus far. However, nothing could go that perfectly.
"Vivi, stay close to me. Even if we can stop any sort of resistance this military has, we need to spare every life possible. If we can make it inside the castle we'll have no issues from that point forward." [/b] At that point, Deumion quickly hopped over the wall leading to the castle using a small stack of crates in the back corner of the city. He then propelled himself onto a small ledge of the Imperial Castle using his staff as a vault. Something just wasn't right about all of this. He didn't feel he'd be able to sneak into the castle so easily. The military was present, but it felt as if they were looking the other way and inviting the two heroes inside the castle. That's when he sensed the other presences. Four of them to be exact. There was a sort of heirarchy to their power and one, in particular, had an almost frightening amount of strength. That, obviously, would have to be Deumion's target should he actually come face to face with these enemies. Two others seemed incredibly strong, but not nearly on the other's level. The final presence was strong, but he seemed to think it was a power that Vivi would be capable of dealing with without too much trouble. "Listen, Vivi, there are four strong powers somewhere in this castle. One of which is one of the strongest presences I've ever sensed. Let us see if your training has brought you back to your prime. We must lay low. I'd rather deal with this threat one at a time until we get to that powerful presence. Be strong, my friend, you have more power than you tell yourself. Keep a clear head and we'll have no problems."[/b] Deumion quickly calmed his mind and walked into a small door that lead to a banquet room, unaware of what was on the other side to meet him.[/blockquote]

Some parts made little sense in this, other parts made no sense at all. This world was truly an example of making no sense, it keeps shifting, doesn't it? Apparently it reflected Kefka's madness well, Yazoo assumed as he walked out of a Corridor somewhere within the castle.
Looking around himself, he questioned the place's existence, this... place should've been fused with the tower... He also recalled the tower being gone, something is wrong with this all.
He hadn't come there alone, though. Well, we're defending the place in Kefka's absence for now, he thought to himself while a playful smirk flashed on his face. Then without caring much for the small room he was in, he opened another Corridor that led him outside the Imperial Palace on the castle walls to take a better look over the place. Currently he was planning to simply be patient before he would make his strike. He sensed the two presences of defenders before he had gotten there, after all. One was a curious presence that had caught his attention well.
[OOC: Working on my muse, sorry for crappiness. Been too long since I've roleplayed, so need to get back in form.]

The One Winged Angel honestly found it highly amusing Kefka needed his own world protected, but he honestly felt at home here. It held a similar feeling to it from the one he often felt while he roamed the Lifestream, waiting for the moment to reveal himself yet again. Perhaps I could use this world as Mother's vessel... He was in the banquet room, hiding in plain sight.
Booted feet rested upon the upper wall of the banquet room, his body facing downward, looking upon the floor, body positioned above the door. It was a perfect ploy, hiding like he was. The room would appear empty, someone would walk in, and then he could capture the element of surprise. He'd had plenty of training after all, he didn't get to be the number one SOLDIER for nothing. Plus, the power of the Jenova cells in his body only made him stronger. Can't believe that fool jester is too weak to defend his own home. He'll deserve the destruction. His black angel wing extended outward, helping him keep his balance as he stared down. Without it..this little position would be physically impossible.
A grin formed on his face as he saw that door start to open, extending his arm outward. "Heartless Angel... he murmured silently as he saw Deumion entering the doorway from his hiding place above. A miniature angel manifested itself inches away from his fingertips, wings fluttering as the angel rained down red spores. Whoever walked in...would likely be in for a surprise. Contact with those spores would cause one to begin to feel instantly weak..the very life force and magic energy they held would honestly be drained unless they did somethinq quick. Patiently Jenova's favorite waited, watching for the opportune moment to strike.
Heartless Angel-An magical attack that reduces his opponents strength drastically by summoning an angel and having it spread deadly magic down upon his foes. (used only once per thread. Duration of effect, 3 posts, effect can be countered if the victims are carrying an Elixir or Megalixir)

Vivi had no problem following Master Deumion's orders to stick close to him. Even with the training he'd so far received under his new Master, Vivi still had certain doubts as to the limits of his strength. Coming to this world that was overrun by the darkness... well it was not hard at all for Vivi to hug his much stronger Master's footsteps.
After having a slightly harder time following his master, having to scramble up walls and practically climb his stave, using the curved end as a hook to hold onto the top of the walls; Vivi adjusted his hat and robes, listening as his Master explained that there were already four people here to interrupt their plan to discreetly dissolve darkness' hold over this world.
Vivi nodded as he took in his Master's instructions like holy laws. It was a good plan. A smart plan. The littlest mage trusted his Master's judgement.
However, the idea of testing his strength made Vivi a little nervous. His win to loss ratio was not exactly inspiring... It caused the little mage to look right and left in an anxious manner and fall slightly behind his respected Master, who was entering the banquet hall. Vivi began to worry at how quiet it was... like the calm before a catastrophic storm...
Vivi quietly rushed to catch back up, his shorter legs struggling to bridge the distance back to the safety of his Master's shadow.

Ansem sat in a corner, reclining against a wall. Sequestering himself near the highest point of the castle, where he observed the routines of the people below. He hadn't left the spot for days, and never did his gaze falter. For some people, this would've been absolutely maddening, but Ansem rather enjoyed it. The world alone was intriguing enough, and its denizens only added to the Heartless' interest. He spent every waking moment tracking everyone's movements; especially the ones of the supposed Raiders. And although nothing worthy of note happened in the last few days, Ansem wasn't about to give up this "hobby" anytime soon.
Today was different than any of those other days. The Raiders had arrived two days earlier and had seemed more than willing to stay in the city until an opening presented itself, so a plot was formed. Ansem decided to create an opening to lure them in, before the duo could exploit a real opening and catch everyone by surprise. The opening that Ansem had created, was a stack of crates. It was more than enough for the raiders, while not nearly being enough for any mundane person to try and cross the wall. It didn't take long for Ansem to know that his plot had worked, the Raiders crossing the wall just a few hours later.
Tracking the Raiders was easy, as they made their way through the palace grounds, it was thanks to the trap. One of the defenders had even taken advantage of this, and was already laying in wait for them. Ansem himself didn't have any advantageous plans, instead preferring to act in the spur of the moment. And it was in this particular moment, that he decided to test the hearts of the Raiders, using his natural Heartless senses. Something he couldn't accurately do, while they were mingled with the townsfolk. So Ansem leaned over his ledge, leaving the cover of darkness to gaze deeply into what would soon be his prey.
The two of them were mages, their choice of weapon, the staff, made this obvious. The tall one held light within his heart, enough that The Seeker of Darkness could only assume that he was hopelessly lost in light. The short one also held light within his heart, but he was different. Different how? Ansem couldn't really tell. There was just something about this mage, that reminded him of a certain someone. Yes, the short mage was interesting, mystifying even. Ansem could only wonder at the possibilities, and immediately he began to plot and think of what he might do with him. Certainly, this boy would be worth investigating.
The Heartless stood, completely leaving his cover to stare down at the little mage. Without a moments hesitation, Ansem leaped, and fell head-first. Falling parallel to the walls of the palace, he used his levitation to maneuver around any obstacles that were in his way. Then, when Ansem was close enough to the ledge, he kicked off the wall. This sent him flying down towards Vivi, who he intended to shove off the ledge with one mighty blow. A crude but necessary move to get him separated from the tall one.

A figure in gold clad armor stood in the banquette hall behind one of the largest tables. He was sitting in the room waiting for the unwanted guests to arrive. Emperor Mateus was somewhat surprised by the way Kefka kept his castle, much more formal than he once thought. Nevertheless though it wasn't like a complete shock, the foolish jester was unpredictable. These wars on the Worlds will be a perfect precursor to my rule. Thought the Emperor as he sat back. Most of the tables were clear, but on his there was a glass of red wine. As an Emperor he had certain tastes and red wine was definitely was one of his favorite. It would be a shame if those ruffians had to ruin his stay.
While the Emperor isn't one for peace, the World would simply just be a waste to give to the Light. Once the Door started to open the others had started to act. There were definitely some newcomers in the area, especially ones that weren't his comrades. They were just more people to bless with his presence. Sensing the battle was going to begin he took another sip of wine before acting. He wasn't one to fight, he usually let the others deal with what he wanted. As being an Emperor he doesn't want to dirty his own hand you know. However while the others might be there he was afraid to have to take things into his own hands.
Being fond of traps he decided to let the trespassers deal with what was going to come about. As he saw one of his partners, using the word partner loosely, come down toward the duo it was time for him to take action! Standing up slowly the Emperor welcomed the two. "Welcome to the Castle gentlemen!" He finished his wine and then placed the glass back on the table. "I hope your stay will give you quite the thrill, as you fools will regret ever barging in here." Gracefully his right arm started to rise and as soon as he flicked his wrist his staff appeared and floated around him. Slowly the staff circled the Emperor as if he had his own gravitational pull. Once it did its second pass Mateus quickly snatched it from the air and swiped the ground with it. The ground started to spark as a circle of light appeared and started to quickly make its way across the floor. This was his Thundercrest spell and it was sliding straight for Deumion! Once the spell reached the target, or if the target would move out of the way, it would situate itself there.

Deumion had almost let his guard down enough to be caught by the silver haired monstrosity’s devastating move. Deumion caught the rise in power almost as soon as he opened the door. Immediately, the guardian summoned the magical strength necessary to release a powerful burst of magic necessary to cancel out the Heartless Angel.
Far in the heavens, the gods themselves sent their energy skyrocketing downward in the form of a massive pillar of light. This power bolted straight down into the castle and through the ceiling of the banquet hall. The silver haired warrior had only a split second to drop his technique and dodge the powerful Holy XVI.
”Vivi, stay out of here, Phrekyos and I will buy you time so you can get to safety.” [/b] Without another moment’s hesitation, a black portal opened between the armor-clad emperor and himself. Out from the portal emerged the fang of Holy, Phrekyos. He immediately let out a roar, alerting everyone of his presence as he immediately let loose a waterfall electricity that turned into a massive circular shockwave as soon as it hit the ground, creating a dual attack. Thunderbolt XVI hit it a mark, whether it was the table or the enemy, as the emperor’s attack burned into the massive beast. As the smoke began to clear from Holy, part of the spotlight above Vector began to shine through the roof. Deumion knew that this swordsman would have to be his full attention, and magic versus might would be the headline of this battle. The greatest swordsman and the greatest mage locked in an eternal battle of good versus evil. Holy was strong, but probably not strong enough to defeat a warrior of his caliber. He would probably need Starfall and other powerful techniques to defeat the silver-haired assailant. ”Vivi! I told you to leave! NOW!This was it. Deumion versus Sephiroth would take place to decide the fate of this world. [Short, but three tries and its all you get XP. Computer hates me and it kept overheating.] Cooldowns Holy XVI: 3 posts Phrekyos: ACTIVE: 3 more posts P Cooldowns Thunderbolt XVI: 2 posts [/blockquote]

Yazoo had gathered some defences for the world when having sensed the Light being around, seeing it was Kefka's world while Kefka was out destroying some other place. He still didn't like the jester, though. Especially not since what happened in Deep Jungle. Yet, being around here bored him as there seemed to be only two in the assault for the Light and he had gathered three others, making it four against one. With his Brother, the Emperor, and the Seeker there, he wondered if he should even bother playing.
There's nothing like complete and utter destruction if not performed well, he thought with a smirk, being still on the walls, he thought this castle was going to get in the way and Kefka would probably appreciate the destruction as he raised an arm to the sky. While looking up and smirking, his arm started to glow and smoke came from his body as he performed his Limit Break: Comet.
From the skies above, the clouds started to spin as it turned dark and a large Comet, not on the scale of Meteor, came down to hit the castle. It was aimed for where he sensed the presences and was certain that his 'allies' wouldn't be so stupid as to get killed by a 'friendly' attack. Especially since this attack was not aimed to kill other than random bystanders and only to destroy part of the castle and have parts of it collapse.
Limit Break Comet: Can only be used once per thread.

Sephiroth grinned, sure that the Heartless Angel attack would work. He wasn't exactly expecting it to be sensed from the other room. Grinning from his perch above the doorway, which was only capable thanks to the fact he was using his wing to balance himself he watched those spores fall, completely unaware of what was about to happen. And as Holy pierced through the ceiling of the Tower, it hit the One Winged Angel square in the back, sending him plummeting straight into the beasts electrical attack as it roared.
Groaning from surprise and slight pain, yes Deumion had managed to make the One Winged Angel feel pain, hair frizzing out in all directions for a brief second from the lightning attack Phrekyos had, pure electricity surrounding his body as he convulsed on the floor, landing face down upon his stomach after the attack had run its course. Electricity still sparking some throughout his body, the ex-SOLDIER began to rise, placing Masamune blade down into the floor for support, head lifting slightly as he fixated that eerie glowing gaze upon his attacker, a dark grin forming as he gave Masamune a tug to free it from the floor.
Pain coursed through his entire body, arm shaking some as the electricity finished running its course. He looked like hell honestly. His long coat was torn and singed in several places from the combined attack. Holes were visible in his sleeves as steam still rose from his clothing. "Impressive power...but tell me, do you truly deserve it? he asked before he vanished from view, leaving behind only a single black feather in the air where he once stood, said feather falling to the ground. He could reappear anywhere with the Angel Teleport technique. Above Deumion, behind him, to his left, right, any direction.
Smirking as he assumed Deumion was off guard he reappeared behind him, Masamune raised up, face remaining emotionless as ever as he used the element of surprise to what was hopefully is advantage. That sword then was swung rapidly, the One Winged Angel doing his best to ignore the pain that coursed through his body as eight slashes were delivered towards Deumion's back if the warrior hadn't turned.(up, down, left, right, across, diagonal left, diagonal right, down again) Octaslash was a powerful technique, one not easily blocked and if Deumion managed to block even one of those strikes Sephiroth would be impressed.
Abilities Used: Heartless Angel-An magical attack that reduces his opponents strength drastically by summoning an angel and having it spread deadly magic down upon his foes. (used only once per thread. Duration of effect, 3 posts, effect can be countered if the victims are carrying an Elixir or Megalixir)
Angel Teleport-Sephiroth will vanish from sight, leaving behind a single black feather where he once stood, reappearing wherever he pleases on the battlefield. (cooldown time 2 posts)
Octaslash-A Sword strike used primarily by Sephiroth. It consists of anywhere between 5-8 very rapid, very quick sword strikes. (cooldown, 2 posts)

Vivi watched in awe as his Master's demeanor changed suddenly and he began preparing to attack. The littlest mage's mentor told him to run and get to safety... Vivi didn't want to leave his master.
Vivi took another step closer as if to respond when Master Deumion released his incredible attack into the room he had nearly gone into. Not a moment later, Vivi heard a very familiar and soul shaking roar. His master once again turned to look at him and commanded him to run.
And so run Vivi did, sensing that whatever was in that room was too powerful for him to deal with, though he had no idea who or what was in there. If both his master and his summon were going to fight them, then it must have been very strong indeed...
Vivi was running back along the ledge towards the boxes he'd seen before when they'd climbed the walls to get in, when without warning he was pushed from the walking ledge and felt himself careening to what he was certain was his doom. Vivi's eyes locked onto a man staring down at him.
With all the instinct of a cornered animal, Vivi's eyes began to glow and so did his entire small body. As an eerie white aura covered the tiny mage in his moment of panic, it he hit the ground and rolled feet over hat back about three body lengths before ending up face up. Looking up, Vivi could still see the man who seemed to be descending on him.
So much for running away...
Vivi struggled to his feet and backed away a few paces, holding up his stave, about to begin casting when he saw a familiar light in the sky. His eyes locked on it. It was obviously a Comet attack... And it was coming...
The shining white black mage turned and began running, knowing full well from his own uses of Comet that they were in the blast zone, which was exactly where he did NOT want to be.
The littlest mage had no certain direction, only knowing that getting away was the most important part of this, trusting that Master Deumion would get away from the blast due to his keen senses of magic.
When it hit, Vivi hit the ground and covered his head, stave still in hand. He didn't know what was in this castle, but for some reason, this being Kefka's home, he couldn't help but imagine all sorts of volatile substances that would explode after an impact like that... To Vivi, it just made sense that someone who loved destruction would have such things around for amusement.
After the initial impact, Vivi realized he had a moment of golden opportunity and once again scrambled to his feet. He turned to face his pursuer and the mage's eyes began to glow ominously.
Vivi's whispered chant caused a magic ring to appear around his feet and he lifted his stave up high as he finished it. Upon the spell being completed, water rushed up around the white haired man and sparks of electricity rained down on the hunter that had suddenly become the hunted.
The tiny mage continued to back up, planning to keep a great distance between himself and his opponent. Vivi pointed his stave at the man again.
"Stay away!" He demanded in his humble voice. His eyes wavered slightly. Unlike Master Deumion, Vivi's senses were still weak from his time spent as a normal child. Vivi really had no clue what he was up against...

So all the pieces were finally in motion. With Thundercrest active it slid under Phrekyos and activated its stunning grasp, trapping it within. While it didn't hit his desired target, Mateus was still pleased with the result. Thunder XVI was still heading towards him so he wasn't clear out of the woods yet. Quickly Mateus used his Omnidash technique to the side so he would avoid the attack. Luckily for him he missed it and he was ready for his next move.
While Deumion was distracted with Sephiroth, Mateus would prepare for a sneak attack. He thrusted his hand forward and called upon the power of his Flare (Ground). A medium blue orb of fire was created and slowly heading towards its desired target. While the distance may be great, Mateus had confidence that the attack would reach its destined target. Now all The Emperor had to do was wait for another challenger to arrive. He decided to stay quite than to alert Deumion of his little 'present.' As he waited he stared down Phrekyos, knowing that he would probably have to deal with that mutt next. Regardless, it was only a savage beast. On the battlefield only the warrior with the plans survived.
