So much had come out of so little.
If one had been counting time, it had been three years since Sora had arrived on the home world of Beast to save him from the Manipulating Xaldin, Three and a half since Xaldin first showed up to the world, and four years since he was on that strange world known as Hollow Bastion and it’s… metallic castle. So foreign, so weird. So much had been brought to Beast and Belle’s attention, so much more than his own little world. Just what awaited him out there, if he were ever to leave the comfort of his castle, his home, his den? Much, he could imagine, and none more scary than the evils that wished to do harm. He’d seen it with the Heartless and the Nobodies, but what else perhaps lurked out there? Manipulators, schemers, masterminds and chess players. Beast would be no pawn in a grandmaster’s game. He would fight those who wished to use him, wished to use others, and wished to change things for what they wanted. No, Beast was his own. People were they’re own and deserved to exist of their own free will and wishes, not to be subjected for anything else. Yes, that would be his mission. From here on out, people would exist of their own will and virtues, not by the fists of others. Freedom to act as they wish, that would be what Beast… Adam… would promote.
Even as the claws of his bare lupine feet tapped against the marble staircase in the central chamber, the echoing clinks and tinks resonating with the other ghostly sounds of the dark and accursed castle, Beast set his mind to this reasoning. Beast simply could not allow others to be manipulated as he had, to be thrown against their own will, to believe what others told them, simply because of a few choice words. Even as he said this, he reflected on the most recent, the man Genesis who had showed up earlier, and his words. Was he being manipulated by the man in the Crimson coat, or was he acting of his own free will? If he was acting of his own free will, was it truly to defend his castle, his servants, and… Belle? It had to be. It was why he’d given the man free reign until such a time as Beast discovered he was lying. And Beast had been smart. He’d kept the true secret of the castle hidden. So far as Beast believed, Genesis still knew nothing of the nature of his servants, and that they existed as the inanimate objects within these hallowed halls. They would act as they had prior. Watch, observe, and report. Anything off and he would hear it from someone. Mrs. Potts, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Fife, anyone could report anything to him so far as he knew, and he had to be keen on keeping it as such.
Claws pressed against the wooden door to the exterior of his castle, the loud and echoing creeck blending with the howls of the cold wind outside in the dark night. A perfect night to set a stage, a perfect night to play the scene. What show would grace his world next. A Tragedy? A Comedy? Something more? What was there to see and say? Did he throw himself to the mercy of the greater worlds and see what held him out there? And what of the man’s words? Beast had been afraid to speak to Belle, or even of Belle, based on the masked man’s words. What role did she play? What role did he play? Beast was not a pawn in some mans game. If anything, he was the wild-card. The unknown factor. The animal no one saw, no one accounted for. And with the primal anger, rage, and fuel behind him, Beast would know the truth. Now more than ever, he would know the truth of things.
Show me. he thought. Show me what there is, show me the truth. Hide it not and show your face, so that I might tear it apart to see the horrid face behind the mask you and all others where. What is it you have planned, what is it that I can prevent, that I can foul.
Beast paused, standing at the foot of the steps just outside the doors, having closed behind him and now letting only the wind resonating, his cape billowing slightly as he stared at the clawed hand he had, flexing it slowly. “For Belle’s sake… I will fight. Once more, I will fight…” Looked up, anger filling his eyes and teeth barred in a snarl, his voice dropping to an animalistic growl, “…Until She is once more safe from all of this.” With a quick movement, his head was hoisted to the sky and a growling thunderous roar let out that echoed between the castle, the courtyard, the statues, even the trees. Perhaps even the villagers afar would hear the roar. He had found a way to travel before, and he would find it again.

Why did he have to land somewhere so...high?
The keyblade master known as Solus had only briefly set out on a new adventure to find both Luna and Omnis, his fellow keybladers from Trinity Sanctum, a haven for all who weild a key. It was there that the solar keybarer witnessed the fall of a very prestigious sanctuary for all that sought the light.
Since his fall from grace, Solus had encountered another keyblader, Selena, and he was happy to hear that there were other keys to help him along the way. Second, and finally, Genesis aided the keyblader in bringing the Mysterious Tower home to the light where it belonged. Solus would fight where necessary, but this third world was simply a stop in his path to saving his own world.
However, there was one problem. Solus's Keyblade Glider accidentally landed him on the roof of a massive castle. He was...so high up! For most people this wouldn't be a problem, but the keyblade master had a completly irrational fear of heights! The only thing that could break him of this was the thrill of battle.
As the daylight faded, bringing the twilight before nightfall, Solus crawled towards the edge only to see a great furry Chewbacca roaring to the heavens. Did someone steal his Scooby Snack? The roar itself shook the castle, knocking the keyblade master from his perch on the castle. The danger of falling helped the keyblader find a temporary end to his phobia, as he quicky summoned Honor's Guard and planted it into the side of the great castle, giving himself instant friction to slow down his descent.
As he rea hed the ground, Solus released himself from the walls of Beast's Castle, and sent himself rolling on the ground, releasing his keyblade and changing his attire in a bright flash from his traditional master's robes into his battle attire of a silver vest and gi-style pants.
"Whoa! Hey, thanks for helping me down from there, I guess!" [/color] Even though the furry one in front of him was definitely an intimidating sight, Solus laughed off his fall as if they were old war buddies. He had no idea what was coming next, but he seemingly didn't care.[/blockquote]

The last time Riku stepped on these grounds was almost 4 years ago. He had fought Xion and defeated her, declaring her Keyblade a counterfeit. A phony. He remembered the day clearly, thanks to Xion's return. He walked up towards the castle, wondering if the Beast would remember him from 4 years ago, fighting alongside Sora, against him. He watched as Xaldin had corrupted the Beast, as Sora saved him, as the Beast did his best to protect his friends. Riku remembered this, which is why he came back here.
A dull ache rose from his chest, causing him to stop and take a breath, placing his hand on his chest. It seemed like half an eternity ago...
Within the Castle walls, Riku and Namine had traveled deep into the Castle, hoping that somehow, within his memories, he could find out exactly what his Darkness was now. Ansem had been pushed completely out of his heart, relinquishing Riku to the Light. The damning feeling of being tied down to Darkness, to be in the throes of the slow decay, was gone. However, Darkness still plagued him, invading his dreams, crying out in his heart like a wounded animal.
He found that his own Darkness was still there.
Riku had released this Darkness, using his old Dark Mode to combat Ansem, but quickly hid it in a panic, going on the defensive as he saw...
"...Namine." he muttered, stopping, closing his eyes and once again placing his hand on his chest. His heart was so fragile, it seemed... to shatter completely when seeing a friend die...
He then was snapped out of his daze by a roar. The Beast! Riku then dashed towards the Castle, seeing the Beast by the door, and another man. Slowing his approach, he looked up at the Beast.
"I'm here in peace... I'm Riku, Sora's friend. We've met once before... though not on good terms.." he said, bowing his head in respect of the Lord of this Castle.

Strange things were happening, with the most alarming one of them seeming to be that there was possibly more then ONE 'Masked Man'. Though the name was hardly anything to work by, for even a woman hiding her face with a mask, whether that of a theater prop of that of a ninja shroud, it was going to be impossible to track down the actual one known as 'Masked Man'. Even more so now that some 'apprentices' or 'colleagues' had revealed themselves. Was there more going on behind the scenes then originally thought? Had there been some miscalculations somewhere down the line? Perhaps there wasn't any need to think too much into it, though there were some words spoken a few hours ago that had been stuck within the mind of the Crimson SOLDIER, words he wanted to seek out the answers for, and seeing as he was a temporary guest within the castle of The Beast, perhaps this was going to his best chance at finding those answers.
Speaking to The Beast himself would prove advantageous, but he seemed rather disturbed by something and had left to wander his keep. Genesis Rhapsodos himself took the chance to take a look about the castle once more, checking the rooms he had not looked in earlier on. There was a strange power coming from the West Wing, awfully subtle but it was there. Though it felt far too pure to be anything hostile or threatening to The Beast, the castle or this entire world itself, though regardless, it still felt awfully important for some reason. Curiosity didn't get the better of him though, for the SOLDIER instincts within his body was warning the auburn-haired SOLDIER that trouble was approaching. It didn't feel malicious or dangerous, but it was troublesome either way. Such a feeling was starting to stab the Crimson SOLDIER so much within the back of his mind that he had to force himself to stop observing a few random books found upon a dusty table and make his way back to the main entrance of the castle itself.
The black leather boots upon Genesis' feet thudded softly against the old, worn carpets that had been laid down upon the cold stone floors. The corridor he were in was barely lit, the candles burn down to their stumps and if not for a few cracks within the ceiling that allowed the moonlight to flood in, it would have been his brightly glowing eyes that were the main source of light. It all changed the moment Genesis reached the door at the end of the hallway, for once opened with a loud, wooden creaking, the light from the candles flicking within the room beyond flooded into the dark corridor, lighting up nearly every nook and cranny. Mice and other bugs and critters scattered for the shadows instantly, though the creaking of the door echoed throughout the hallway before darkness returned the instant the door slammed shut. It was then, as if on cue, did the thunderous roar of the Lord of the Castle, hit the SOLDIER in his chest, shaking both him and his surroundings as if an earthquake had just happened.
"What the..? Has something happened...?" Pondered the auburn-haired LOVELESS fan. Genesis' brow narrowed as his pace quickened. His feet carried him down another corridor and through another door before he found himself back at the main entrance of the castle. Heading down the steps from the East Wing, the SOLDIER 1st Class made his way down the grand entrance and to the front doors, one which was ajar slightly, allowing the cold night wind to blow in and cause the flames upon the candles to dance once more. As he drew closer to the doors did the Crimson Champion detect the presences of more then one being on the other side. One felt familiar, most likely thanks to it belonging to The Beast... What was he doing outside anyway? Then again... the other one-, no two also feel awfully familiar, as if he had met the owners of such presences before only recently.
There was a simple way to solve this riddle and with a firm push of his hands, the main double doors of the castle creaked open once more, revealing the tall figure of the Crimson SOLDIER to all who had gathered upon the steps beyond. The massive figure of Beast was easy enough to spot and distinguish. Walking forth, Genesis appeared at Beast's right hand side and raised a hand up onto the massive fur covered shoulder. "Is something wrong?" The auburn-haired man asked as he stepped around the Beast and laid his eyes upon both the young boys before him. Genesis' eyebrows widened at the sight of them both. What were they doing here...? Wait... they hadn't come to turn this world into that of Light, had they??! Lowering his hand from Beast's shoulder, Genesis turned and cast his full attention on the two new guests."Riku..? Solus? Why are you both here? What's going on?"

In most cases, it might not have been a good idea to leave Genesis or anyone alone within the castle, for risk of them discovery Beast’s deepest, darkest secret. For anyone to discover that the Beast was in fact once a man, who’s fate tied to a rose kept carefully concealed within his room of the West Wing. It would spell disaster if they tried to manipulate the rose within. Even if magical in nature and cursed by a powerful sorceress, The Beast could not risk any harm to come to it. But even so, he had learned from Belle to put faith within his subjects, and those within the castle knew the risks of putting the rose in danger just as well. It was for that reason why Beast left Genesis to wander. His servants, the hidden ghosts of the castle, would alert him if anything was wrong, after all. Cogsworth would never let harm come to the rose, and neither Lumiere. Why, none! Even little chip would probably do his best to keep the precious glowing rose safe.
But even so, when the Beast roared, it was out of frustration from everything. The truth had been kept from him, and he no longer wished to be kept in the shadows of this world, unknown what could happen or what he could or couldn’t have done to help it. When he roared, the stones of the castle reverberated with it’s intensity, dust and loose stone knocking free, but seemingly knocking free even more. What beast thought might have been a servant doing work on one of the roofs turned out to be something else when he heard the presence on the wind. He turned, Anger in his eyes at yet another uninvited guest within his castle! He stepped aside as the man caught footing and rolled on the ground, his clothes seemingly changing before him and then his words being spoken. He acted so.. So nonchalant. Every word rose the anger on Beast’s back. Every hair stood on end. Who was this insect to think he was some old friend of the Beast?! He was no such man, and he would remember someone so infuriating as this. No, The Beast’s shoulder’s Rose high, teeth barred in a snarl at the man and claws primed. Were it not for the untimely arrival of the Silver-haired boy, Beast might have attacked the man before.
His attention turned and Beast dropped his arm slightly when he heard the boy speak. Even before he spoke though, Beast felt a familiar presence from the boy. He was a young man, silver haired, with a matching silver outfit, but those eyes… he looked deep into the eyes, and memories returned. He had met this man before, when he was but a teenage whelp! In that strange world! “You were no friend of Sora’s when I last saw you, boy.”[/b] He growled, snarling at the boy Riku. While he offered bowing as a formality, it meant little to the Beast. People were invading that he did not know, and that meant he would need to defend his land, his home, his territory. And yet once more, Beast had planned to evict his territory of these invaders, one some unknown man and another the supposed “Friend” who had appeared as no friend of Sora, but was narrowly stopped by the arrival of Genesis, the only man who could at this moment put some semblance of trust into. This world is being invaded, and I cannot let it fall to anyone…[/I]
He felt the man’s arm on his shoulder, turned to him with a snarl but let it drop into a low growl of frustration. Genesis had proved… helpful, so far. Perhaps he’d continue to be helpful when it came to these men before him. The words of the man did sent Beast for a stir, and it caused him to shake off the man’s hand from his shoulder. “You know these intruders upon my lands, my home, my world?” Paranoia creeped into Beast as the snarling began again. Was Genesis a double agent, who had once more manipulated Beast, unbeknownst to him? No, he wouldn’t allow that, couldn’t. One chance, one chance, that’s all Genesis would get to explain himself. And even then, only because he had seemed to prove himself with the Marino man earlier.

A lot can happen in a few seconds. First, the Beast turned and didn't look too terribly pleasent, but before he had time to speak, thankfully, another young boy, just a little younger than himself, entered the courtyard. He spoke to be a friend of some guy name Dora or something. Solus's memory wasn't too great, and he was horrible with names, which is a horrid combination.
Before the two could speak any further, Solus noticed a familiar face enter the area, the red cloaked man named Gregory or something.
"George! Nice to see you again!" [/b] He immediately turned to the grizzly in front of him. "Whoa boy! I came here looking for my friends, maybe you've seen 'em. They go by Luna and Omnis. they're Keyblade Masters, like me. Please tell me you've seen them."[/b] He hoped this would calm the guy down. As much as he loved a tussle, he wasn't a huge fan of fighting those who didn't do anything. He just loved fighting for a reason. "I'm Solus, and I hold the Solar Keyblade from Trinity Sanctum."[/b] The last line came from solus's lips as if it was a respected position from his world, and it very well was. Only the strongest hearts could hold a keyblade and he was honored enough to be one of these people. As the cool night's air brushed the side of his cheek, Solus could only hope that the desperate situation could resolve itself.[/blockquote]

A slight wince showed in his eyes when the Beast had mentioned that he was no friend of Sora's before. He was right... Riku had intended to strike his friend down due to the influence of Xehanort's Heartless's Darkness. He regretted every time he faced Sora, and did everything he could to protect Sora and Namine during that year of sleep. He looked up at Beast, and nodded.
"You're right... I wasn't. But things changed since then, and now, I only seek to make amends. I'm here to help bring the world to Light." he said quietly, looking at the Beast. He looked up at the Beast, this savage looking Beast, and saw something that very few people could see. Except maybe Belle, or even Sora. He saw an innate kindness in the Beast, something within that he kept hidden away in the shell of a Monster he has resolved to being. Riku had heard Sora mention to him once before that the Beast wasn't always like this... and Riku could understand how one's outward appearance could affect one's outlook on life. His eyes couldn't lie.
He turned and looked in time to see the Crimson Champion himself, Genesis Rhapsodos, emerge from the castle. Surprise? No, absolute shock lined Riku's face as he watched the LOVELESS quoter step out of the castle, inquiring the Beast with a gaze and a statement that showed familiarity. He remembered Cloud telling them at Disney Castle not to trust Genesis, Angeal or Sephiroth... but... Telling the Beast now that his guest was untrustworthy, while looking like an intruder himself (as well as having FOUGHT Sora and the Beast before). He held off, looking at Genesis and nodding his head.
"This world has lived in Darkness too long... I intend to bring it to Light so then it may remain safe from the world-ending effects of the Darkness." Riku stated, eying Genesis with careful eyes. His right hand twitched. What could he do? There was another man here, who he did not recognize, but he felt a similar Light coming from him as well... if the Beast was loyal, or at least friendly with the 1st Class, then he would be glad to have someone to fight alongside. He regarded the other man, named Solus, with a nod, as his right hand twitched, ready to defend or do whatever it took to preserve his safety... he suddenly felt a cold chill run up his spine as he realized that he was an unwanted guest on this very powerful Beast's land... and if the Beast wished it, Riku was sure that Genesis would have no other choice but to act along with the Beast in driving him out.
He waited, slightly tense, for whatever would be said next, completely oblivious to the fact that the other man here was in fact a keyblader as well. He didn't listen, it seemed.

The shaking of The Beast's shoulder felt irritated, the Master of the Castle clearly disliking being touched by the SOLDIER 1st Class, perhaps anyone at all. It was not a sign of reassurance of comfort, why Genesis has placed his hand upon the massive fur-covered hide of The Beast. No, it was simply to inform the giant ball of fur that he was present and in his company once again. No doubt that the monsters heightened senses of hearing and smell alerted him to the Crimson SOLDIER's approach far sooner then the gloved hand upon his shoulder, but it was never a bad thing to be a little bit cautious. There could have been every chance that The Beast had forgotten about Genesis and would have lashed out at him like he appeared to be longing to do to the boys before him. No sign was given to Beast as he shook his shoulder, shrugging off the crimson leather glove. Instead, the auburn-haired man just stood his ground beside the Master of the Castle and cast his brightly glow gaze upon the pair of Keybarers.
Whatever conversation was shared between the boys and the Beast, Genesis knew nothing of it. The first words spoken apart from his own came from the mountain of muscle and fur to his side. Beast asked, somewhat frustrated, how Genesis knew of the two new intruders trespassing upon his lands. A moment's pause was the SOLDIER's reply before he glances to his left and looked the monster in the eye. "I know them, yes. The one on the right with the silver hair is Riku. He's apparently a friend of one Keybarer calling himself 'Sora'. Though I feel Darkness within him, I believe the boy is fighting for the best interests of the other worlds out there. The other one is called Solus. I aided him in defending a world from the attacking forces of Darkness. As far as I can tell, he too wishes for the best interests of the worlds and those who live among them." He explained, his tone was calm, polite and poetic as usual. Though his head turned back away from Beast as he turned his attention back upon the boys before him, his mako-infused eyes flicking between the pair several times, as if he were sizing them up. Keybarers were powerful warriors. He has witnessed what Solus was capable of first hand and if Riku has survived a duel against Sephiroth, then he wasn't exactly going to be a push over either. The question lingering in his mind though, was whether a fight was needed drive the boys away from this world.
"That's 'Genesis', Solus. And may I advice you to be careful with your words? You're speaking to the Master of this Castle, show your respect!!" He spoke up again, before Riku addressed his reason for being on this world. The strange thing though, was that it seemed both the Keybarers had come here on their own instinct and were not here as a team. Would they pair up together if the Beast suddenly snapped at the intruders and attacked? A swift sideways glance towards the furball forced the Crimson SOLDIER to quickly think of a solution to the situation if it happened to turn that way. Riku's words however, broke his concentration. "While your words and actions are admirable, Riku, I am going to have to deny you. This world cannot be changed to the Light. A situation has arisen here, one I am for now not inclined to inform you of. Simply heed my words and leave this world. I will fill you in on everything at a later date."
Genesis wondered what was going to happen. It took a great deal of effort for him to win the Beast over, and even then he hasn't fully achieved that. Genesis knew he was on borrowed time while he remained on this world, and while he knew how to use words over actions to convince people, he wasn't sure if the boys had it in them to do the same, especially if they simply came wanting to turn this world over to the Light. That was exactly what the Masked Man wanted, to convert this world and hold control over it and all who lived on it. Would the Beast think the same of these boys? A subtle twitch in Riku's fingers alerted the Crimson SOLDIER that he was possibly nervous and if the Beast detected this with his enhanced smell, then surely all hell was about to break loose.

[OOC note: Theme for Post - The Monster is Loose By Meatloaf] In the grand courtyard of the castle, loomed over by the gargoyles, the stars, the moons, the towers, and the trees, four people stood and looked from one to the others. One, it seemed, sought to bring this world to the Light. Another, sought to seek out his missing friends, much as Sora had done four years ago now, as Beast recalled. A third, sought to stem the manipulation of worlds, and the manipulation of his friend. The fourth, was the Beast himself, caught in the triangle of control, manipulation, implantation and infestation. His world, as it stood, was Neutral. Neutrality meant not partaking in one side or the other in a war. It was not keeping the balance, it was avoiding the conflict. Was this the Beast then? A coward who kept the petty grovels of the other worlds out of his sight so he might not take part in them? No. This he was not. He did not wish the wars to touch his world, simply because he wished to keep to himself, not out of cowardice. Yet here it came, first with this Masked Man’s puppet and this man, Genesis, and then with these two young keybearers it seemed. It seemed as though the Beast had never stopped growling from the moment he first growled, his eyes, human eyes, darting between the three. He backed himself up a few steps, not in fear, but to keep everyone of his potential enemies in view. Was Genesis an enemy? Was Riku? Was Solus? They were all upon his lands, and therefore intruders. They could destroy him, or his servants, or his Belle. Would he let them? Not without a fight. Instincts were beginning to take over, and it took everything the beast had to keep what little semblance of Humanity was within him from being blotted out. Too soon would the day the rose lost it’s last petal come. Too soon would he be stuck in this form forever. Could Belle love him if the animal took over? If the last petal fell, would his eyes change? Would he no longer have the eyes of a human, but the eyes that fit him? One of a Beast? Perhaps the hints of that showed now, eyes darting between the three now. Riku and Solus, these keybearers, had mentioned Genesis, knowing him. Genesis confessed to knowing them, and fighting alongside them. He even mentioned the Darkness within Riku, something Beast himself could feel. His heart had always been one of Light, but the actions and power of the Beast lead him to be stuck in a world of darkness, in a form of darkness. Perhaps then, Riku and Beast were more alike than appearances seemed. Perhaps Riku had a Belle of his own, who kept him from turning completely to the dark? Perhaps it was Sora, and their friendship truly kept them from faltering to the dark? Even so, Beast had never seen this Friendship. And Genesis was not Sora, Genesis was still only a guest on an observational standpoint. It would take only one moment for him to be kicked out, one easy word, one easy swipe. And he could feel this sensation rising, a roar growing within the throat of the Beast “ENOUGH!” The word was barely audible within the roaring howl that came with it, the sound waves themselves shaking the trees of the forest, the walls of the castle, and the ground beneath them. Indeed, The sound waves themselves were formidable, on the verge of damaging, but held back just such. They were barely held back, and it was a wonder what a true howling roar from the Beast of the castle could do. With the attention of the three no doubt now acquired, The Beast looked between all three and spoke. “You all come to MY Castle, MY grounds, MY home, uninvited and UNWELCOME, trying to alter the course of MY world, based on YOUR claims! My world has NEVER Existed in Darkness! The closest it came, was being SWALLOWED by the darkness because the guardians who are supposed to protect worlds from succumbing to it, you KEYBEARERS, WERE. NOT. HERE.. What that leaves for the worlds, is for it’s Residents, lords, and MASTERS, to step forth, to defend it in YOUR place! You bring wars to our shores and do NOTHING To defend it! Do you expect us to sit IDLY By?!” The words rolled forth in roars and growls, each heightened word a new roar to shake the ground, the woods, and the castle. It was a wonder he wasn’t on the verge of bringing down his own castle or shattering it’s already cracked glass. “Light, Darkness, it matters NOTHING to me! You all fight to seek to CONTROL, to HOLD, to MANIPULATE as you see FIT! No more! This world is MY home! It is MY lands, and it is MY Charge as Master of the Castle, be I a Beast or a Man, to defend it from all those who come to it’s shores as INTRUDERS!”Ferocity could be heard and seen, and before the words had potentially sunk in, the Beast had let loose his most powerful howl. They were all intruders, and he would not let them say if they planed to manipulate or change anything! With a throwing back of his head, the mane and horns flowing and his teeth bared to the sky, the Beast let loose a howling roar, eyes shut tight, chest puffed out, and claws in full view on either side of him. Had he worn a shirt, it was no doubt that it would have split, the sheer force of the howl backed only by the muscles and power from the frame of the creature no longer a man. His howl shook the very earth so powerfully, it had felt as if it would crack. The castle itself sounded as those the stones were falling from the force of the sound waves itself, and the trees themselves beyond the walls cracked and fell from the force of the howl. This was not a roar for show or to make people aware of his presence. This roar was meant to send those with a weak heart and disposition running, and damage those who did not leave. It was a feral roar if ever there was one, and it was not the man in control anymore, but the Beast, the animal. ======================= Abilities: Ferocious Shout - Beast lets out a deep roaar that sends enimes into a panic and damages them from sound waves. Things were starting to get seriously serious. Solus was trying to keep things light and friendly, but the Beast had a horribly short temper. With a ferocious roar, the creature definitely alerted the masses that he was pisses. The solar keybarer instinctively summoned Honor's Guard in a flash of golden light as he lept backwards, distancing himself from the crowd. Any humor that may have been on his face was now extinct. Solus knew this horned creature now meant business.
"I don't know what problems you have, but I'm not here to harm your castle, bub. I only wanna bring this castle closer to the light from the pits of darkness. Don't you have someone in hereok you wanna protect from the darkness? I know there's people out there I don't want to suffer from that. So, I'm journeying the worlds looking for them, and bringing every world I can closer to the light. [/b] Solus's point was cut off by a powerful roar, one that forced the keyblade master to raise his keyblade to attempt to block the powerful vocal blast. The roar from the furry titan did manage to push him backwards roughly ten or fifteen feet, but no damage was really done. There really wasn't any talking to this guy, so it was finally time for the solar keyblader to take his first fighting stance since his world was attacked by the hordes of Heartless. He raised his keyblade parallel to the ground, at eye level in front of him. He placed his feet a shoulder's width apart, and prepared to see what power still remained inside of him after the intense battle at Trinity Sanctum took its toll on the solar knight. "Looks like I don't really have a choice then. Hope you're ready..."Solus dashed forward, spinning slightly clockwise, when he reached the Beast he sent his keyblade spinning toward the back of his knees as he quickly planted his feet and took to the air, taking a second shot at the beast by attempting to send the spokes of his blade along the creature's back. He finished his combo by turning his leap of faith into a spiraling dive straight for the prince's cranium. This was Solus's fighting style, a unique blend of acrobatics, speed, and the power of his keyblade. He wasn't done yet as he flipped backwards from his last strike and sent the power of light into his keyblade. He then stopped himself in midair and slashed at nothing but the air in front of him. Each slash sent a shockwave barrelling towards the beast in a hope to incapacitate the enemy. Six of these Bright Slash shockwaves were sent soaring towards the beast. The game was now set. Solus, the Solar Keyblade Master, would take on Beast, the prince of this castle, to bring this world away from the darkness. ----- Cooldowns Bright Slash Level 2 2 posts[/blockquote]

The Beast had roared, sent a shockwave of fury in every direction, shaking the foundation and the dust off of the walls. Riku only closed his eyes, letting the fear wash off of him. Genesis was right. Riku realized that he and the Beast held common ground within their Hearts. Sora had told him long ago about the Beast, about Belle, and how she was his Light, and how he had traversed across the Darkness itself to find her... it was a love story beyond all love stories. All Riku could do was stand in awe and see the power that this Beast held. No Magic. No special weapons. Only the power of his Heart, harnessed into the feelings he felt for Belle. This was it, this was what he was missing! He merely stood there as the Beast shouted, seeing a familiar fear in his eyes. Riku went to impossible odds to protect Sora and Kairi, and he understood that the Beast would do so himself.
"You're doing this for her... all of this for her..." He hadn't noticed that Solus had jumped back, and prepped for an attack. Riku looked at Genesis and gave a slow nod of understanding... there was a deeper mission here. Something more... and the Beast... was enough for this world.
However, his attitude changed when he heard the whoosh of air as Solus charged forward and aimed an attack at the back of the Beast's legs.
"No!!! What are you doing?!"
That fool!! Now he'll never let us help him!
Riku stepped forward and grabbed Solus by the back of the outfit he was wearing, and yanked him back, outside of the Beast's patented 'maul half to death' radius.
"You fool, we're trying to gain his trust, not harm him!!" Riku glanced at Genesis, then back to the Beast, and stepped in front of Solus to prevent more attacks.
"Beast, please, don't take his actions wrongly, he doesn't know..." he looked at the Beast pleadingly, going onto one knee. "Please, Sora came to your aid! Remember!"
He knew that it was hopeless... the moment that Solus's attack would connect, the Beast would lose all reason. He would protect Belle from these intruders... even if the intruders lay in pieces before him.
"Think before you strike..." he hissed at Solus as he stood, not daring to draw his own Keyblade, hoping that somehow, someway his words could reach the Beast, and they could take their leave peacefully.

The auburn-haired SOLDIER didn't move his eyes away from the two Keyblade boys as they both exchanged looks with himself, each other and the Beast standing between the three of them. The wind was blowing through the trees subtly, not as bad as it had been earlier on in the night when the howling throughout the castle from cracks in windows was caused from a greater breeze. The skies had cleared somewhat too, allowing the massive moon to be seen more clearly, shining down upon the castle as well as the surrounding forests with uncanny shine. It was almost as easy to see as it would have been during the day. No complaints there. it might have been the dead of night, but with the arrival of the two Keybarers, keeping an eye on the pair of them while Beast was present was going to be a smart idea. Genesis didn't know of Riku's past encounter with Beast, but judging from their conversation, it seemed somewhat obvious. It was Solus who was the concern here. Who knew what would happen should Beast turn on the offensive?
And just like that, everything changed.
Beast's massive shout, demanding attention as he addressed the three of then, shook the foundations the castle sat upon. The Crimson SOLDIER didn't have too much trouble keeping his balance, but standing so much closer to the mountain of fur then the boys were, he had staggered a foot or two before managing to catch himself and fix a stronger stance to reduce the shaking. Beast's natural, raw power was astonishing! The SOLDIER 1st Class would have stopped and stared, but it was never a smart thing to stare at a wild animal, especially one that seemed ready to snap at the smallest thing. However, the auburn-haired man did give the Beast a sideways glace after steadying himself, questions racing through his mind if the monster was about to attack himself as well as the boys. It seemed likely, but perhaps there was still chance to save the fragile truce he had made with the Master of the Castle.
Though an even greater roar followed, this one forcing the Crimson SOLDIER to throw up both his arms and cross them before his chest. Lowering his head and hunching his shoulders, Genesis shielded himself with nothing but his leather coat and SOLDIER strength. Beast's roar was fierce, enough to cause him to slide back across the cold stone floor a few feet. It was astonishing. While no damage was caused to his coat nor his flesh, his insides seemed to sting as the vibrations shot through the air and through his body. He probably deserved this as much as the boys did, being an intruder and all, but he wasn't simply going to give up and attack the Beast. There was an evil at work, one both himself and fur ball had laid eyes on. Fighting one another now would lead only to disaster. "Ugh!!" The Crimson SOLDIER grunted as he recovered from the deafening roar. Blue, glowing eyes examined the Beast for a moment before he snapped his head to the side, hearing what came from Solus' mouth.
It appeared Riku had come to his senses, but regardless, in an instant, Genesis' crimson Rapier was summoned to hand and he took off across the courtyard, dashing towards and leaping at the Beast. However, instead of attacking the Master of the Castle, a metallic clash echoed about the surrounding area as Rapier deflected Keyblade. Knocking away the attack aimed for Beast's knees, Genesis jumped past Beast and put some distance between both the creature and both the boys in case the Master decided to retaliate and attack the closest one too him. No words were shared though. It all fell down to what the Beast was going to do. The dice had been cast and now it was his turn to roll. Turning about and holding his Rapier down by his side, Genesis kept his eyes on Riku and Solus as the former appeared to be trying to hold Solus back. Attacking Beast was only going to anger him further.
After a moment contemplation however, the Crimson Champion decided to speak up, addressing the mountain of muscle and fur before him. "Beast... I know this is your castle, your world and you have every right to want to throw us out. However, you've seen for yourself that there is a far more dangerous intruder within your castles walls then Riku, Solus or myself. As soon as my business here is done, I give you my word I will leave you in peace. After this day is done, I doubt we'll cross paths again, but you have to trust me for just a couple more hours." It was utter unpredictable what was going to happen next. Beast was already highly cautious with his presence within his castle, but Genesis had explained himself honestly. He was here to find out what happened to Cloud and to figure out what the Masked Man's next move would be. The boys however, Solus and Riku... they were here to bring the world to the Light. Unknown to Genesis, that would prove fatal. The Light would no doubt attract Belle out of her hiding place and it would be then that the Masked Man would strike. No, the world had to remain neutral, remain in Beast's control.
"Keybarers... My final warning. Leave this world now or I'll be forced to turn my blade upon you." With that said, the SOLDIER did indeed turn to face both the Keybarers, the crimson Rapier being brought up to arms length and pointed in their direction. His eyes were dangerously narrow, the scale of his serious he was were present in his tone and spread across his face.

Who Could Love a Beast?

Who could love a Beast? What person would willingly put their own life at risk and force themselves into the life of an animal, just to find the beauty of the man behind the Beast. In a tale as old as time, it was a wonder that anyone could look at Beast and see anything more than his namesake. From the hulking brown fur across his body, to the towering muscles beneath, and the sharpened claws and teeth meant to rend flesh from bone, there seemed almost nothing in the Beast left that gave a sign as to the man he once was. All, except for one thing. His crisp, baby-blue eyes were, once, all he believed to be left of his human self. The eyes of a man, trapped within the body of a Beast. Belle had shown him differently, showing him the man was still locked away, but locked away it remained, especially now.
He could feel his heart beating within his chest after the roar within the winds. It felt as if his heart would beat out of his chest, working to pump the boiling blood throughout his body. It was hot with anger and rage, the adrenaline rushing and gushing through veins and arteries to every inch of his body. His teeth and fangs opened and bared as the heat reached his face, legs spreading as the flames reached his clawed toes. His black claws seemed to eminent power as fingers curled and tightened. The wind that blew through the trees and castle grounds whipped Beast’s cape in the wind, increasing the size of his already massive silhouette.
That’s when the Beast felt the first twinge of Fear.
It came not from the sudden movement of the three warriors in his grounds, but from the rising sensation within his heart that suddenly began flowing through his veins. In all his years as a Beast, and perhaps even before, the Beast had struggled with the darkness existing in his heart. Belle had once told him that his heart had been the strongest and most human part of him, even beyond the eyes. Through sheer force of will within his heart, he had survived where others hadn’t. The beast had plunged into Darkness and fought it back. He had watched the dark ball of blackness float above his sky, blocking the moon as the storm had risen. The images of that day, when he tore through his own castle walls after Belle, when he saw her being taken by the Heartless, dragged out of their world and into another. He had seen the grand black heartless with the lack of a heart, and the darkness swallowing him. But even then, Belle had been taken from him, stolen from him, and he had to retrieve her. He had pushed himself through the darkness and followed Belle’s Heart of light. But with such a strong heart, did it not also attract a stronger darkness? That was the fear that now filled Beast. He could feel it in him. There was a sensation that felt familiar, but it was not a comfortable one.
He could sense darkness rising.
Solus’ quick charge caused the Beast to brace himself, moving his legs, but not quick enough to have dodge the blow. Were it not for Genesis’ timely block of the blow, Beast might have gotten knocked down quickly at his knees, but it would not have stopped him. Almost simultaneously with Solus’ charge and spin, Beast outstretched a clawed paw, moving to dig his claws into Solus’ back and drag them down, spinning with the Keybearer as he came around. He’d barely seen the key blade go around to bring teeth to back, catching in the ragged purple cape as he saw Solus be grabbed by the other keybearer and claimed friend of Sora, Riku, grab him and tug him back, out of range from another strike. Fur Bristled up on end as the Beast landed on all four paws, teeth barred and blood thirsty.
He could almost taste the darkness now.
Riku seemed to step before Solus, then dropped onto his knees, pleading to the animal before him. But what use was there in pleading with an animal. Even Genesis now, realizing that his crimson coated self was not safe anymore so long as Beast was lost to his namesake, seemed to begin pleading with the Beast, asking him for a bit of trust. But who could trust a blood thirsty wild animal, unable to control his actions and incapable of rational thought? No one could.
But they could ask a man for trust. They could plead to a man to remember.
Sora came to your aid! Remember! Don’t you have someone you wanna protect from the darkness? There is a far more dangerous intruder within your walls.
Beat growled, readying himself to howl again and let out his anger.
But Adam would not let him.
The beast shut his eyes and clenched his paws, claws digging into flesh and breaking skin. Crimson liquid began flowing from his palms as Adam, the man within the Beast, fought every animalistic urge. It seemed a losing battle, seemed as though the Beast would win. No one would be safe, they’d be torn limb from limb, bodies strewn across the floor of the West Wing to join the collection.
Then came Belle’s voice.
Whether it was a whisper in the winds, echoing memories within his mind, or the actual voice of the Princess of Light herself, Beast could not tell. But in his ears and brain ran the voice of Belle. She did not speak words, but he heard her all the same. Tension in his claws released, And Beast looked up and Solus and Riku, glaring. He broke the glare only for a moment to close his eyes, seeing her auburn hair and beautiful face within his mind. “Belle…” it had been the first word Beast said not as a Beast, but as a man, his growling gone as he whispered her name.
Beast looked to Solus, rising to his hind paws and standing at attention. “You are right, there is someone I would protect, just as I always have and will continue to do. But she is not all I protect in this world.” The Darkness Beast had begun to feel rise within him, that Darkness within his heart that came out within the animal and once had been exploited by another, was ebbing away. His blue eyes met with Riku’s own sea-green, and in his eyes was a shared understanding. Riku understood better than everyone what the Beast went through, what the Beast fought for.
“But this world, while not residing in the light, does not exist within the darkness either. It is a world in between, neutral in status, and left to it’s own devices. A grander threat exists that seeks to bring the worlds into neutrality by force. Belle… she is this world’s light, as I…” Beast looked down, shamed by the words he needed to speak. “As I am it’s Darkness. We are what makes the world Neutral, but our love shines brighter than perhaps all but the bright heart of Sora.”
“If you cannot understand what I mean, and still wish to force this world into the light, then I ask for the last time that you leave. But if you no longer wish to change this world’s course and cause it’s light to shine brighter than the sun, then I ask you show this to be true. I’d still ask that you leave…”[/b] Beast turned to Genesis, breathing deeply as the last of his darkness subsided. “But perhaps more alleys… are needed…”
