It was quiet here.
Mordred stood on the dock like a statue, standing out in the bright, hopeful world like an inkblot on a blank sheet of paper. His black cloak billowed to the side in the wind as the tide came in. He had explored this world and was rather disappointed by it. There were so few Hearts around for him to collect. And yet, there was something about it. Something about this world was of dire importance. Perhaps something happened here or maybe someone was born here. Mordred couldn't think of exactly why it could be important. It was just... entirely so small. There was almost nothing here, except for a few small wooden huts. Was there truly nothing here?
Mordred sighed and adjusted his glasses. Maybe something would happen. Unlikely, but it could happen. The Nobody sat down on the dock and merely stared out at the vast ocean. He started thinking and contemplating everything that had happened so far and his next moves. His recent battle in Hollow Bastion had not produced anything useful, except the defeat of his opponents. Of course, there were various things that tilted in his favor, including the arrival of his allies and Namine being taken over by the Darkness. In fact, now that he thought about it, Genesis was the only one in that fight that proved to be a challenge. Mordred noted this for the future. Perhaps, he could gain aid from Sephiroth to fight the red-coated gloryhound. However, Mordy had not gained what he wanted. The Door to Darkness was too complicated to activate and even if he could activate it, it would simply be too much effort for little gain. Mordred continued contemplating his next moves, using the time alone to his advantage.

Naminé traveled through the Corridors. Her mind was on her adventure so far and the ones that were yet to come. She had started out looking for Sora to discover if he had some idea of why she had returned. From that simple task she found herself in a battle for Kingdom Hearts with people she really didn’t even know. During that time her admiration with one of the Fighters peeked, especial when the fight had come down to that women and the memory witch against 5 others. The two of them managed to bring it to one against the two of them. Unfortunately when they were all dragged into Kingdom Hearts itself, Naminé was forced to retreat. While the women with the wings and a small group continued the battle against the boss. The memory witch had found herself abandoning the search for Sora realizing that they would meet again when the time was right, and started the search for the girl that she had fought alongside in that battle. Unfortunately she didn’t have a name to go by and it made it harder for her to find the Angel.
During her search for this angel the memory witch ended up in a tournament that she had thought would be rather fun and it would give her a chance to exercise her powers again. She won her first match because her opponent didn’t show up. Then she faced off against an opponent that made her think outside the box and made her use her power in a whole new way. Genesis was definitely holding back when he fought with her but since he made her think of new things, she came to admire him as well. She lost that battle but took what she learned with her and that in itself was its own reward.
Most of her time now has been spent with Riku. It was nice to see a familiar face. The ordeal at Castle Oblivion has made the Nobody anxious though. She took in Ansem’s words and wandered how much of it was true. Shortly after reuniting with Riku, Naminé meet yet another person. Despite trying to distance herself from others, people kept flocking to her and she kept helping them. The meeting with Vivi and her promise to him set her up for the battle at Hollow Bastion. Things really didn’t go as planned there. She met the person that she was to meet but for some reason she completely lost it. She wasn’t supposed to have emotion but something about the other Nobody that day set her off. Thank goodness that Genesis had been lurking nearby and came to the rescue.
The memory witch learned about a terrible state that came with her new powers at Hollow Bastion. She was able to turn into any female that was associated with Sora, and recently she discovered that she could use portions of their powers. Unfortunately, when Naminé faced off against the people in the battle, she turned in to a female that she had done before but this time darkness took her over like a puppet. She could feel it as it entered her and moved her aside. At that point she had blacked out while the darkness moved her body to do what it wanted. She had finally come to with Genesis standing over her. What had become of everyone else she had no idea, what happened at all she had no idea. All she knew was that she had fallen back asleep shortly after returning to normal and when she woke the second time the crimson solider was gone.
Now hear Naminé was again, wondering the corridors looking for her purpose if she even had one. She thought of pursuing the Angel again but didn’t even know where to start. Then she thought she could look for Sora, Roxas, or Kairi but then came to the conclusion that she wasn’t ready to face them just yet. The only other place to return to was Riku. She had nowhere else to go. But the thought of returning to him with out her task completed and telling him what happened made her stomach hurt.
Naminé opened an exit to the colorful void that was within the corridor. With a vacuum suction sound it appeared on the sand beaches of her other half’s home world. It was also the home of Sora and Riku too. The best place to start looking was the world that they came from. She knew that they would return here from time to time. After all, they say home is where the heart is.
Naminé walked on the sandy beaches. She looked at all the trees with their star shaped fruit and smiled at them and their odd legend. The air smelled salty and the sun was hot on the skin. Good old Destiny Island. The memory witch could see a silhouette sitting on a dock as she rounded a corner. The sun blocked out any details that would give away the stranger's identity. The young girl thought that it might be Riku or one of the other teens from the Island, but one thing about them is that they had hearts. This person wasn’t given off that vide at all which could only mean that it was another Nobody. Naminé approached the dock with caution. As she got closer she finally could see who it was. Her blue eyes got wide. What were the odds? Part of her told her that it would be best to get out of there before he noticed that she was there. The other part told her that he had already sensed her presences and that she had a promise to keep.
Naminé took a deep breath and stepped on to the dock. It was funny to think that Riku had promised that she would be in good hands when she met with Mordred, and her she was all alone with him. “The ocean is quite a sight isn't.” She said to the man. She stood just behind him with her hands behind her back looking out beyond the horizon. It was weird because now she had no desire to attack him. “What were you looking for when you were at the library?” Naminé said rather curiously. He was at Hollow Bastion for a reason and he had said that he was looking for something. She waited for the man to do one of two things: one was answering her, two was attacking her (not that she didn’t deserve it.) If he was to attack then her hands that were behind her back were ready to use the corridors to get out of there.

Mordred sensed her before she stepped onto the dock. Namine was here, as well, possibly for a rematch. Mordred noted that that would be a strange idea, as Nobodies couldn't actually hold grudges, but it was an idea to note. He looked behind him, his emotionless red eyes gazing at the blonde witch in the white dress. He then looked back out at the ocean. "What do you want, Namine? Surely your fight with the Darkness has left you too weak to fight. What is it you have come for?" Mordred heard her footsteps come closer until they stopped right behind him. Mordred didn't bother looking. If she went to attack, he'd sense the kinetic flow change and act accordingly. However, she didn't attack. Instead, she merely commented on the ocean. Mordred adjusted his glasses and shrugged. "It is merely a large body of water, occupied by aquatic creatures. Nothing to be truly awe-inspiring."
Mordred listened as Namine asked what he had found. Normally, he wouldn't bother telling her, but since his investigation turned out to be a failure, he saw no harm in informing her. "Wasn't worth it. All information on the Door to Darkness leads me to believe that it is defunct. Even if it were restored into operating condition, the effort needed to power it is too much for my needs." Mordred then stood up and turned to Namine, staring at her. "Now it is your turn. Why have you followed me here?" Mordred was still on the assumption that the Memory Witch wanted vengeance, either for the loss at Hollow Bastion or for that mageling named Vivi. Either way, he was now prepared to take care of her should she decide to be violent. However, Mordred didn't really care to fight Namine. A waste of effort for no Heart. There was no value to fighting her. It was meaningless.

(OOC- Sorry that this post is fail T_T It will be better next time. Namine just had a lot that she wanted to get right out there.)
“True that is all that it is.” Naminé giggled. “You are a glass is half empty kind of person...aren’t you.” The witch thought on how she use to be when she was among the Organization and when she worked for Diz. Everything never had a Brightside to it. Someone always had to suffer for the cause. No one could see the greater picture. “The ocean is a big body of water with creatures living in it, but it is much more than that. There are many different layers to it. There is the surface that glitters in the sun and moon light and reflects your own image back at you. It shows you for what you really are and it is that layer that most people see and judge things on. Then there is the middle depths where most aquatic life live, it is full a life and activity. Everything goes about living the best way they can and the best way they know how. They do not question where the current takes them. And even though your ears will end up full of water, all kinds of sounds can be heard if you take the time out to listen. The dark depths hold secrets and great treasures beyond anyone’s imagination. It is hard on one’s body and mind when they take that dive but if they are successful then the awards are great. So a giant body of water it might be, but it has a life of its own…even though it has no heart of its own. Its heart is the creatures the inhabit it and relays on its strength and power. It is many worlds and lives working together and balancing each other to create on massive world that they can all live together in."
Naminé wasn’t expecting Mordred to answer her question. So she was surprised when he did so. She didn’t think that he was lying since there was no call for it. “The door to the darkness huh?” The memory witch frowned slightly. “So people are still looking for those doors. Well let me see if I can help you out with what I know. I think they are a waste of time. Many people before you have searched for the Doors to both Dark and Light. The Dark only destroyed its seekers leaving them with nothing. They same goes for those who seek Kingdom Hearts as some great power. The door to the Light has sent it’s seeker right back to where they have started to begin with. There is nothing awaiting you at the end of any of those journeys but the end of your existence or nothing at all. Game over or back to start, nothing more, nothing less. At least that is what I have experienced.”
As Mordred stood up Naminé took a step back. She was beginnin g to get nervous with him standing over her. She wasn’t sure if he had made a move with is new position that she would be able to get away quick enough. Her body was weakened from the darkness taking her over at Hallow bastion and her powers might not be able to match his...not that they ever did to being with. Not being able to read the male Nobody also made her uneasy. Normally she could read people with hearts but since this man was like her and didn’t have on her powers and reading didn’t work to well on him. “Whoa there.” Naminé said with another step back. This time she brought her hands out from behind her back and put them in the air at her sides like if she was being arrested. “I didn’t come here to fight. I normally don’t take the first move in a battle unless I have to. The darkness of that place and the form I took just got to me somehow and I couldn’t control it. I am working on that part of my powers. I didn’t think Nobodies could be taken over like that but the more a think about it the more it make more sense for people like up to be taken over then people with hearts. After all the people with hearts have hearts that can deter them from doing something where as we have none and are just empty shells with plenty of room to be taken over by either dark or light.” Naminé blinked after what she just said. She had never really thought of it that way before. The words just spilled from her mouth. Both Light and Dark could take control of her at anytime. At this very moment Light was in control of her. She didn’t have a say in the matter since she had no heart to choice for her. She lowered her hands as she thought about the situation.
Mordred voice brought her back. “I haven’t followed you here. I had no idea you were even here to begin with. If you must know this is the home world of my other half and her friends. I was looking for them.” Naminé sighed and looked at Mordred. “But it would seem as destiny had a different plan for me today. But I have to ask…..If you think that the Door to the Darkness is not worth your time…” The memory witch hesitated. “Does that mean you no longer need Zidane and his heart? I am afraid I really don’t understand what you need him for. What is the purpose of taken someone else’s heart? You can’t replace the heart you lost with his. It doesn’t work that way. His heart can’t bring back what you or people like us lost. It is wrong to up heave someone’s life for your own selfish gains. Don’t you know that? Maybe if you could help me understand what is behind all this then maybe I can help you find the right way to go about it? Enough hearts have suffered.”

Mordred sighed and adjusted his glasses. "I don't intend to fight you. You have no Heart, so destroying you would be a waste of my time and yours." Mordred then looked over to the ocean. "Your perception of the ocean is merely that. There is no denying the truth of what it is. Your perception of the Door to Darkness, however, is probably accurate. Perhaps more research is warranted for alternative means." Mordred then turned to Namine and listened to her as she discussed Zidane and his Heart and why Mordred needed him. Mordred cocked his head. "You seem to misunderstand my motives. I do not want his Heart. I do not want any Hearts. Scientific research must be done from an objective, outside point of view. For my research of the Heart to remain untainted, I must not have a Heart. Thus, I cannot desire a Heart."
"As for Zidane," Mordred continues, "it was his own foolishness that allowed his Heart to be weak enough. He relied too much on his friends, without letting his own self to grow. He is better this way. And yes, he is still useful to me." Mordred then walked towards Namine, rather calmly and peacefully. He walked past Namine before stopping. "Morality is anathema to us, Namine. We can not gain pleasure from either doing good or doing evil, thus it is pointless for our kind. Besides, the Heartbearers throw their Hearts away for meaningless conceits. At least I am putting them to use. Thus, your theory about there being "a right way to go about it" is flawed. There is no alternative. You will not convince me, otherwise, Namine." Mordred turned again to Namine. "Do you intend to continue this futile endeavor of convincing me?"

It was a bit of a relief to her that Mordred wasn’t planning to fight, but Naminé didn’t show that relief because she was starting to get a sense of what kind of person he was. She really didn’t feel like have him tell her what she can and can’t feel. So she tried to stifle all her emotions when talking to him and remain as the Nobody she was suppose to be. However goodness knows she wasn’t good at it.
“You don’t want Zidane’s heart?” Naminé said with a raised eyebrow. “But I thought that is what all Nobodies were after…A heart of their own." She held her arms behind her back and paced on the pier. “I didn’t know that there were Nobodies with other objectives. So does this objective give you a purpose? What would you gain from fulfill it?” She asked curiously.
Naminé continued to listen to Mordred and his explanation. She was about to argue against the fact the Zidane’s heart was weak and even if it was that didn’t give Mordred the right to decide someone else’s fate, but she quickly shut her mouth when she heard the rest of his speech. Her eyes widen. “So if one relies on friends then they are weak?” She asked Mordred. It was similar to what Ansem had told her back in Castle Oblivion, or at the very less in her mind they were similar. “Ansem told me something that sounds the same…but it was about me.” She said half talking to herself and half talking to the other Nobody before her. “He said…he said ‘That’s the unfortunate truth. For although Riku and I will never see you as anything but Naminé, you will always be the Nobody of Kairi. But know this. For those who see you as Naminé, will also believe that you have a heart. The more people believe you have a heart, the more pain you will feel, because the opposite is true. Someday, that pain will break and destroy you. Such is the fate of all Nobodies. Isn't that tragic? The more friends you make, the worse it will become.’ So even you see friends to be the down fall to others.” The memory witch looked down and contemplated the two suggestions. “Having friends and relying on them is consider being weak. But if that is true then why do people seem to get stronger when they are with their friends?” She looked up at Mordred. “My observation is that people’s hearts become stronger when there is something for them to protect. Sora seemed weak at first but when Kairi was threatened his heart got stronger tenfold, and it is just them…I have seen it a lot.” She looked down for a moment. “I am confused. How is it you see the world one way and I see it another? So which is it...are friendships a sign of weakness or strength?”
Naminé turned to face Mordred as he walked passed her. She didn’t like having people at her back...she wasn’t that confident just yet. “Even if what you say is true what belongs to the Others is theirs. What makes you think that you are putting their hearts to better use…you have no idea what their hearts are made for. Despite what you say about having emotions or not I am sure you wouldn’t like it if someone took something that belonged to you or used you. I know when things started I was acted like a normal Nobody...I had no emotions and didn’t care….I didn’t what I was told without question…but then...but then I saw how what I was doing was affecting people….I saw they didn’t want it…Something stirred in me…I don’t know if it is a linger emotion from Kairi or not but that fact is that it hasn’t left me. “
Naminé looked up at Mordred no longer trying to hide her emotion…because she was failing at it. It didn’t matter to her anymore what the man before her thought. “But I wonder why do we seem so different?” Her face softened. " Do-Do you remember what you were like when you had a heart? Do you remember how you lost your heart and why?”
