Having no safe way to travel from world to world could be quite dangerous, at times. Angeal hitchhiked with other’s passing by, and he made sure to strike a deal with the first person to land in Wonderland to make sure he finally got out of that madness. If he had continued to wander into that stupid room that kept flipping just to mock him, the Soldier thought he might have had a stroke. Grabbing a ride with the first person who stopped seemed to have been a mistake, though. The man had agreed to take Angeal away from Wonderland, no questions asked, but he seemed a bit shady. Once on board and headed away from the maze-like world, the man realized his hitchhiker had no munny, and things became tense between them. Angeal was intimidating, but he wasn’t the one sailing through the cosmos.
In retrospect, Angeal realized he shouldn’t be surprised he ended up in such a dark place.
It wasn’t dark in the sense that he couldn’t see. In fact, everything was clearly lit around him, if not by the neon signs then by the chilling, by the heart-shaped moon above his head. As soon as Angeal had been forcibly, vocally thrown off of the airship, he’d felt it. A similar feeling he got when surrounded by the heartless … A tugging at his very soul. It felt like it was trying to pull him down, into the depths of nothingness. Blue eyes stared towards the expanse of extremely tall buildings around him, his pulse quickening and his breath catching in his throat. There was no other way to put it; this place felt like pure evil.
Angeal stepped forward into the strange world, suddenly feeling claustrophobic as the skyscrapers loomed over him. His footsteps echoed against the walls as he quietly walked along cautiously. No matter how much he strained his ears or eyes, he’d come to the simple conclusion; he was alone. There was no one else around. It was just a big, empty world filled with empty, tall buildings that was lit with an eerie glow. Even with the knowledge that he was alone, the Soldier couldn’t stop feeling so tense. There was a terrible feeling gnawing at him, in the back of his mind …
They didn’t make a sound as they approached. The only thing that saved him was his odd sixth-sense about the creatures, the way they caused his heart to tug and ache. He drew his standard Soldier blade in time to defend against the attack of a tall, dark creature. Angeal had only a second to recognize it as one of the shadows before his blade was swiftly blocked by the creature. He cursed under his breath as more Neo shadows began to surround and enclose on his location.
Leather gripped steel as the Soldier reinforced his grip on the blade, moving quickly to slash and stab at the creatures that were starting to surround him. They were much bigger and tougher than the ones he’d faced before. He felt a dark claw barely rake its way across his dark shirt, and Angeal swiftly turned and twisted himself away from the creature’s outstretched claw. Blue eyes darted to the closest target as he swung his blade and finally felt the familiar thud of flesh on steel for only an instant; before the shadow being faded away into whispy smoke. The rest quickly followed suit against his strength, the fight ending quickly, but not fast enough for his liking. Battles here were going to be much more difficult, he could tell.
Angeal took a quick look around, feeling that there were more of these shadow creatures in the area. He took off quickly down a path, hoping either to find a way out or perhaps someone who knew the way.

The spike of hardened light encasing his arm dissipated soon after the impaled heartless faded out of its existence. Swiftly turning a full 360', Neku held his arms crossed in his defense to meet any stragglers that may come his way. He waited, silent and his small set of recovered pins were glowing dully in preparation. But as nothing moved in the passing seconds, it seemed there was no apparent threat and that had been the last wave of this lengthy assault.
The world he was on, Neku had come to understand was called Twilight Town. The idea of Worlds still seemed to… alien. But the best way he could understand it was that each world was a different planet… though he suffered the grandest bout of confusion when he appeared in Ancient China… Putting the confusion from worlds aside though, Neku knew that something felt wrong… One moment he was staring at the ground, the next, he was on his back as he watched the clouds. They were slowly fading as his eyes closed once more. He let a small smile as he realised his time here was coming to its end. The Sudden Sleep at the end of a mission was inevitable, he didn't like it, but it was the only way he could leave a world…
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
A black sky… A pitch black night sky, framing a… Was that a moon? A Heart. Shaped. Moon… Feeling was returning to his whole being, he could move, but Neku had made a bad habit of only exploring with his eyes. He was… in a back alley was the best way to put it. Dark Walls were illuminated by Neon Signs. Wherever this was, maybe it reminded Neku of his home… Shibuya. But the aura around here was nothing like home. Something cold, ice cold, was clutching at his chest, something reaching for him from the shadows. Neku felt the shivers move down his spine, having removed his headphones and the music that always accompanied him. Since it was night, he expected silence, but not one as still as this.
Even as music was restored to his ears, the deafening silence still seemed to echo with the rhythm and beats. But that feeling was still there, like there was something crawling through the shadows. Heartless? It… seemed to be hiding. But there was no escaping, if he couldn't see or hear you, psychic ability pins certainly gave him an advantage. Closing his eyes to neon lights and a strange moon he simply whispered "Open your senses…" Like flicking a switch, his minds eye opened and the world was clear. Or to be more accurate clearly full of Darkness. Finally Neku sat up, knowing full well that he may be here alone. His abilities were blinded to world that surrounded him.
The air suddenly grew colder, colder than it was before, and without opening his eyes he knew he was surrounded. The Heartless Pack had swarmed towards new prey and judging by the world he briefly saw, he was willing to bet prey didn't come to often. All at once they rushed, only to crash into each other as their combined target dashed away to avoid injury. Now the boy in black and blue floated, back to back with one of the creatures, He was a mere half-foot off the ground but ever more so dangerous as the pins (badges) on his chest glowed back into life. "Ready to die!?!" The Pin was ready and he turned midair to face his assailants. "Then Die!!!"
Two of these larger than normal shadows had sunk back into the ground, avoiding any chance of being hit by the onslaught of force rounds fired at those who were standing. The closest took the full force of the shots and burst into a black fire before disappearing. The others however dodged the remaining as they split to encircle him again. The boy simply dropped back to the ground at ran to come face to face with nearest shadow, bringing his hand down in a slashing motion to release a shockwave, only for his arm to be deflected away. Keeping his motions fluid, he stepped aside and took another swing for a lower target without giving the shadow time to recover. His arms passed the shadows stomach successfully, creating the shockwave that followed immediately after. Followed by another, and another, and another until the shadow finally vanished.
Neku panted briefly, these heartless were unlike any he had faced before… and there were still four left… "Crap." He turned and rushed headlong again. "Bring it!!!"

Rosa suddenly awoke, her beautiful blue eyes opening for what seemed like thousands of years, and she carefully surveyed her situation. Not good, she thought to herself. I've no clue where I am, or what I've been doing. How did I get here..? Rosa was in a seated position, leaning against a pale blue wall, with one hand rested neatly in her lap. Her pale bangs hung over her face, and she briskly swept them away, as they bothered her. Well, she thought to herself. I'm not getting anywhere by just standing here. She slowly got up, and briefly dusted her pretty white dress, and she looked around some more. It seemed like there was no light, but she could still see. Rosa was beginning to feel far more uncomfortable than she should be. A restless urge in her chest seemed to be rising, and she laid one, closed fist upon her breast, as if that was going to help. "Hello?" she timidly called out, her small voice echoing through the dark, cold atmosphere. Looking up, she finally noticed the large, heart-shaped moon the loomed up in the night sky.
"What a strange looking moon," she noted quietly to herself. It was so... mysterious. It was also quite beautiful, and to her, it seemed divine.
Her observations were suddenly interrupted by a strange, evil feeling that began to hover around her. Cold sweat dripped down her fair skin, and she tensed up, looking around. There was that odd feeling that something was there. Something... evil. She could feel them. They were here, and she couldn't see them. Such a pressing feeling against her heart couldn't possibly be something good...
"Ah!" she yelped, talking a few steps back as a number of shadows appeared before her. She didn't know what they were, or what they could do, or where they came from. A rising feeling of pure fear began welling up in her chest. What could she do? Holy magic was something that worked against the undead, but... Holy isn't a spell that should be taken lightly. With absolutely no options, she instinctively ran as fast as she could. Anywhere was fine, as long as there were no more of those... things. "Anyone?! Is anyone there?!" she cried desperately. "Somebody...Anybody!"

Angeal ran and ran, hearing nothing but the echo of his boots on the unforgiving pavement for some time. Was there really no one else here? Who would actually come to such a place? He reasoned with himself, the heart shaped moon causing another quick chill down his spine. This world was clearly not meant to be inhabited by anyone with a heart. Somehow, he’d managed to avoid more heartless, as if their attentions had been focused elsewhere. It could only be pure luck that he’d outrun any more of them so far. Or, perhaps, they were just waiting for their prey to tire itself out.
The Soldier stopped for a moment to catch his breath and survey his surroundings. Sweat dripped from his brow and quickly became cold, much like the still air around him. Even running for as long as he had, it seemed like he’d barely gone anywhere. A gloved hand wiped at the cooled sweat, and Angeal found himself straining to hear movement besides his own. Surely, it couldn’t be just himself and these monsters here. The lit windows of the skyscrapers around him openly mocked his thoughts, and he wished he could feel some warmth, anything at all, from those lights. He felt there should have been loud talking and laughter coming from those betraying lights. However, he felt nothing but the cold, creeping feelings of being watched … stalked …
"Anyone?! Is anyone there?!"
Enhanced senses did come in handy, at times. Angeal straightened up and turned to the direction of the plea. It was a feminine voice, and a panicked one at that. He shook the coldness from his body and began running again, his ears picking up the sounds of hurried footsteps as he went. As he rounded a corner he saw the woman running towards him, and were she not being chased by heartless, he would have more time to appreciate the woman’s odd, but beautiful appearance. Instead, he took those few rare moments to grab the sword from his back and push his feet off the ground, powerful legs launching him high into the air over her and toward the heartless.
Angeal’s Jump materia glinted softly as he landed on the ground behind Rosa, his sword partially buried in the concrete and his enemies effectively struck simultaneously by the attack. In a flash of SOLDIER speed, he easily pulled the sword from the concrete and quickly swung it towards, and subsequently through, the closest neo heartless. He moved fluidly, boots stepping and grinding and twisting against the pavement bringing him closer to his advancing quarry. His next powerful blow was blocked, and the sharp, shadow claw nearly raked its way across his shoulder. Angeal narrowed his eyes and quickly countered, striking against the heartless and moving on. After the third was taken out, he moved his gaze to the distance, taking note of the yellow eyes lurking there, and coming closer. Angeal ran his hand over his bangle, the soft glow of his mastered Thundara materia visible for only a brief moment before the lightning streaked forward to his enemies. Like their brethren, they too vanished in a puff of black smoke.
The Soldier quickly scanned the area one more time and then, feeling that there were no more heartless, he turned back to the woman who’d been running. He offered her a small, polite smile as he put his sword behind his back once more, “Are you alright?”
The small talk would have to wait, it would appear. Angeal turned his head, glowing blue gaze focused somewhere in the distance. He could hear the sounds of another scuffle … Of someone else stuck in this world as well, and it sounded close by.
“We can do introductions on the way. Follow me,” Angeal nodded to the woman once more, turning on the spot and swiftly walking in the direction of the fighting. He wanted to take the time to figure who she was, and how she got here, but it sounded like someone else may need a hand as well.
---------------- Abilities Used: Jump Enables Angeal to jump high in the air, potentially dodging an attack, and strike the ground, hitting one or more opponents. (Cooldown: 2 posts) Thundara Enduring a brief green glow, Angeal holds out his right hand and fires electrical bolts at the enemy. (Cooldown: 2 posts)

The rush forward into a mass of dark jaws and talons was just like any other battle, but experience told Neku he was severely underprepared for this kind of enemy. He certainly hadn't expect the nimble ability of the stronger heartless as two of them dodged a triple slash volley from the Kanesada Pin. Its glow was getting dimmer as it slowly ran out of power. Their movements and style simply brought memories of the Noise from his first three Reapers Games. Perfect. He could fight anything if he could relate it to the Noise.
"Somebody…Anybody!"… Wait… Someone else was here!?!
Although distracted, instinct took a sudden hold causing Neku to drop to his stomach, laying flat against the floor as one of the Shadows leaped from behind aiming for his head. It soared through where he was previously standing. Silent thanks went to his survivalist tendencies honed through weeks of "Game"-play in the UG. Rolling away to the safer side Neku quickly rose into a kneeling stance, palm towards his enemy, aimed to destroy… but nothing happened… "…idiot.."
Neku mentally slapped himself for using up all of his force rounds. Ranged styles were what he needed right now… and he had wasted all his shots in the first few seconds. Still, the advancing party of shadows was the main concern. A gentle tap to the Pyrokinesis Pin on his chest would make this game more fun. He rose once again into the air, summoning a flame that hovered below him. That same flame suddenly shot forward, not connected to the ground, but leaving a blazing trail of fire behind it.
The wildfire bent to Neku's will as it now zigzagged around to engulf the closest shadow. The shadow evaded only to have the flame continue to encircle it, trapping it in the blaze's back-trail. The flame already having moved to it's masters next targets, catching another two within its burning touch. Neku's feet planted on the ground as he exhausted the Pyro Pins power. Almost immediately the flames dissipated followed by 3 large black puffs of smoke… One less than Neku thought he had trapped in Pyrokinesis' flames. He must have missed it in the heat of the moment. Nor did he notice as the Shadow rose upwards from the ground behind him…

Rosa's head felt dizzy. The world around her was blurring up, and it restricted her vision. Her face was hot, but the rest of her body was cold. What happened? she thought quickly, starting to panic a bit. Was I hit by something? She tried to calm down, and stood up a bit straighter. She sighed, and with the gentle touch of her Cure, she felt a bit better. The world around her became a bit clearer, like the sight you might see when you put on your glasses. She was startled to see a man running towards her, taking care of the Heartless. He looked like he was in his mid-20's, with spiky black hair, and a rather strange uniform that she hadn't seen before. She guessed she was some sort of warrior, or soldier, like Cecil. He had a large sword, and the moment flashed briefly as she saw him jump in and use Thunder magic. Who is he? she wondered. Maybe he can help me. Quite soon, the dark place had been ridden of those shadow-like creatures. However, Rosa felt as though not all of them were gone. Only the visible ones were. She wanted to get out, fast.
“Are you alright?” the man asked kindly, giving her the impression that he might be all right to trust. "Oh..!" she started, not knowing what to say. "Thank you. You saved my life." She watched as the man looked around, as if he heard something. She couldn't exactly hear anything, though.
“We can do introductions on the way. Follow me,” the man nodded, quickly turning around in the opposite direction and heading towards whatever he might have heard. Instinctively, Rosa obeyed, quickly running to keep up with him. It bothered her, though, that she didn't know where they were going. So, with the help of her Sight, she looked around, hoping she might see something. Not far off, she could see a young boy with spikier hair than the man in front of him, with bright orange hair. He looked like he was fighting off a large number of those shadow creatures by himself.
"Over there," Rosa pointed to the boy, speaking to the man. If he was listening. "I see a boy over there..."
