Jacen looked around the the vast town as he walked in through the gates. It was different than the towns on his home world. Deep blue crags and ravines vanished into the distance, and the sky was a strange shade of violet. Clouds swirled overhead almost as if they had no direction, and the breeze was stiff and stagnant. His first guess without performing any kind of reconnaissance was that this place was a mere shadow of what it used to be, signified by the lack of townspeople walking around, and eerie silence that seemed more piercing than the most sharpest of sounds.
He didn't like this...
He continued on into the town, walking slowly down several flights of stairs before entering what seemed to be the main residential part of the town. Too quiet... he thought to himself, playing his eyes over the walls, hand on the Murasame in case there was an attack. Monsters of all sorts were a regular occurrence in his world, as were the Heartless that Tseng had informed him about. Could they be here? Could they have rendered this town the way it was? He couldn't imagine the mess that his home had been dragged into... His mind then turned to the rest of his colleagues. His family. Elena. Cissnei. Rude. Even Reno. He wondered how they were, where they were, and if they were all alive.
First, however, he had to find Tseng. Tseng was the last one he heard from, and would most likely know the most about the situation. He took another visual survey of the area, and continued down the brick road, leading into the Borough, hand on the Katana, and ready for anything.

| No, Jacen was not ready for anything.
Today must have been Jacen's lucky day. Tseng had managed to escape Cid's punishment a little bit earlier than he had originally anticipated. The Director believed that this occurrence had something to do with the fact that Aerith had arrived. Most people had a soft spot for Aerith. The younger woman had a knack for calming the nerves and tensions in a room.
Tseng's usually pristine white shirt was covered in oil from being underneath the gummiships. He still had his sleeves rolled up and the top button of his shirt was undone. On his arm was his black suit jacket and tie. His long black hair was still pulled back into the ponytail as he had not had the change to remove the band yet.
As he rounded a corner, the Director of the Turks noticed a familiar black suit in the corner of his eye. Tseng slowed his pace to get a better look at the figure. To his surprise, it was Jacen. The Director visibly flinched, knowing how horrible he looked. It was not the best time to be running into another Turk.
But, there was nothing he could do about the timing. He might not run into him again. "Jacen." Tseng called, completely stopping to get the other Turk's attention. |

He looked up at Tseng and blinked. ”The he-… Hello Director.” He was indeed caught off guard by Tseng’s rather roughened appearance, and the corner of his mouth twitched. Tseng, Director of the Turks, looked as though he had been given a mud bath. He relaxed a bit however, because duty and respect came first. He bowed low, and then came back up, a warm smile replacing his usually cold, emotionless expression. He respected Tseng greatly, almost as much as Veld. So much had happened the past few years that he believed that there was no greater an ally and friend. He rested his hand on the pommel of Murasame, and shifted his weight to one leg, taking his stiff reserved appearance and loosening up. Very few would see this side of him. He looked up and around, the second reason for his surprise coming to the surface. ”So… why are you here, Tseng?” he asked the Director. He looked up to Tseng with respect, and knew that he would get an honest answer, no matter how silly It would sound to him. He remembered his trip here, actually falling here by accident. He felt an air of familiarity here, knowing that this… new world was safe. He knew enough about the situation through Tseng’s briefing via PHS that he was in no immediate danger, lest a large group of those Heartless appeared. He then cautiously looked around, awaiting the Director’s response.

| Tseng heard the slip up on Jacen's speech but didn't react to it. When he saw Jacen's lip twitch, Tseng calmly sighed, "...You can laugh....I look ridiculous..." He was quite sure that his appearance was very amusing to most people. Though, on top of that, none of his Turks had ever seen him look this horribly and out of uniform before. Yes, maybe incognito, but never unintentional. So, Tseng would allow the Turk to get his laugh in.
It did not take long for the Turk to relax in the Director's presence. Though, Tseng was not surprised about this. The two had worked together for years, so Tseng was just as comfortable with Jacen as Jacen was with Tseng.
That's when the question was asked. Tseng smiled lightly, "Well, I have a base of operations here. I learned that the current AVALANCHE had a base here and thought it was best to be nearby. There's a lot going on.... Why are you here?" Tseng asked, smiling lightly. "We can actually head back to the base if you wouldn't mind." He frowned, looking at his shirt. "I'd like to change if possible...." |

Jacen let a rare smile show when Tseng admitted he looked ridiculous. Somehow, seeing the Director relaxed, out of his element was… well, good. Jacen always felt inside that even the most authoritative men had to cut loose every once in a while. He rested his hand gently on the pommel of his Murasame, nodding slowly as Tseng spoke about the base of operations, and sighed.
”It was an accident, my coming here. I suppose I should consider myself lucky… After I have gotten your message, I had arrived at our base back home, and well… I fell here.” it was… difficult to describe the sensation of being swept through the darkness. The feeling that you would probably die, and that you had never admitted out loud to any of your family how much you appreciated them…
Accepting his once thought inevitable end, he landed, quite painfully, outside the gate of this town. He took note of this for any future occurrences, try to keep your feet earthbound. His tailbone still ached, which soured his mood slightly.
He nodded to Tseng as he was asked to accompany him back to the base, getting out of his relaxed stance and walking up beside Tseng. ”Lead the way, Director.” he said, going back to examining the area, taking in the surroundings, even noting the giant castle/structure in the distance. It was reminiscent of the ShinRa building, towering up in the middle of the area… So high, he knew he looked like an idiot just looking up at it. But he didn’t care. How many ‘worlds’ were there? And what part did his team, his family, play in this? Answers that he was sure that Tseng was seeking as well, which only spurred him to do his best even more than before. If those… Heartless indeed eat worlds… then their home was in trouble.

A blonde vixen known for her quick wits could be seen roaming around the world known as Radiant Gardens, specifically in The Borough, stretching her arms above her head. She was wearing a plain white t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans at the moment, revealing her figure a bit and allowing her to relax a bit as this was a more "casual" attire. Well not that she went out to play or socialize very often, maybe she just looked like a slouch with no regard for her appearance but at the moment she wasn't all too concerned. Indeed, today was a day for her to "chill" as the kids would say, to perhaps cut loose a bit and enjoy herself as she hadn't had the chance to ever since her daughter went missing. The thought alone made her currently neutral expression quickly turn sour, her gaze shooting to the ground as she sighed.
Should I really be taking any time to relax?[/i] she thought as she stopped for a moment looking up to the sky as her arms fell back down to her sides, I haven't made any headway finding her nor Tseng's companions and finding people was one of my talents back at the precinct. Then again I suppose all those searches were limited to a single city, not several of them and certainly not an entire galaxy... assuming the ones that are being searched for are still of this world,[/i] she thought, a bitter frown curving against her lips as she brought her gaze back down. Upon doing so her eyes would come across a mother and her daughter that was passing by, the two holding each others hands as the daughter seemed to be no more than six years old. She was smiling brightly as she took extra long strides to keep up with her mother, the daughter lecturing her mother on how she needed to take more time off from work. The mother rolled her eyes at the lecture but a smile was curved against her lips all the same, seemingly taking heed of the words spoken by her daughter. Whatever the case, as the two passed by a sad smile would curve against the blonde's lips as she shook her head lightly, breathing a sigh as she began to walk forward again.
Although I'm sure if Eve heard me talking like that she would lecture me in the same fashion so perhaps I should be a bit easier on myself and relax,[/i] she thought as she turned a corner and caught a glimpse of two men. She blinked a couple times at the sight before she quickly recognized one of the two, Tseng, and made the assumption that the other was a Turk as his attire seemed to be similar to Tseng's. Well at least in most cases, right now the Leader of the Turks was actually in quite the dirty ensemble, a spectacle that Aya couldn't help but grin at as she covered her mouth to prevent her from laughing. Unfortunately the attempt to hide her presence failed miserably and she began to laugh loudly, certainly bringing the attention of the two to her as she clutched her stomach. After a rather shocking display of laughter one wouldn't expect from her the blonde would get a hold of herself, raising her head to face Tseng with a toothy grin.
And who better to do so with then Tseng?[/i] she mused as she began walking over to the pair, He's probably the closest thing I got to a friend right now so teasing him might prove to be amusing,[/i] she thought as she stopped a couple feet from the two. Crossing her arms, she snickered lightly as she looked over to Tseng with a smirk, her eyes showing a mischievous luster in them as she gave him a once over.
"You know I almost didn't recognize you for a moment, I never thought the Leader of the Turks was a grease monkey," she started, grinning mischievously all the while, "Although I think it suits you, always seemed a tad stiff in your professional attire, kind of like a penguin even," she added, her tone lighter than usual as she attempted to tease the oily individual. Whatever the result, she would turn her gaze and body toward the other man, extending her right hand as she decided to throw another jab at Tseng, not allowing him the chance to introduce her to his colleague if he intended to.
"Oh and sorry I thought Tseng would have introduced me by now but it seems like I'll have to do it myself," she added in a tone that feigned annoyance, "My name is Aya Brea, former police officer of the Deling City Police Department... and who might you be?" she would ask as she awaited both the man's response and presumably a handshake.
Although I could probably guess considering you're hanging out with this stiff,[/i] she jabbed but this time in her head, not wanting to embarrass the Leader of the Turks too badly.

| Jacen didn't laugh, but the grin on his face said it all. Tseng had to admit, he was thoroughly embarrassed. Jacen then explained how he had arrived here and he nodded. "Try to avoid those dark portals. I've been informed that it essentially eats away at your soul. Though, it's hard to comprehend how that works." He gestured down at his attire. "...and borrowing Highwind's ships aren't the best option either."
The moment Jacen agreed to be lead to the base, Tseng nodded, thanking him as the Turk began to lead the way. That's when he heard laughing. His advanced halted as his eyes shifted to see the source of the laughter and his expression fell. Lovely, Ms. Aya Brea had spotted him. If Tseng thought he could live this down, he was wrong. Aya would never let him forget it. He sighed lightly as he stood up straight to face Aya.
Aya quickly approached and began her verbal assault, which affect Tseng a lot more than he showed. "I don't need to explain my appearance to you... and it'd be in your best interest not to insult the uniforms... especially in my current mood." As Tseng shifted to introduce Jacen to Aya, Aya quickly cut in again, introducing herself. The Director sighed at this. But if she was going to play it that way, he was going to refer to her as Ms. Brea. "I met Ms. Brea while scouting for other Turks on one of the other worlds. She's an ally." He paused once more. "We were heading back to the base here.... you can join us if you wish to, Ms. Brea."
