Endless abyss... smoke and flame... gray eternal.
Light and Darkness mean nothing. Day and Night not observed. Eons could easily pass without being noted. His sights had been shortened, but even so the Mirror felt no loss. It's thoughts continued in a single solitary line that touched neither curiosity or time. He knew in truth that his Queen would return. To the spirit it mattered not when or where or how.
Soon, after a millennial sleep, perhaps, she would stand before him and request once more that he tell her who was the fairest.
Once more, completely without bias, he would tell her truthfully.
For that was his essence; his very being was truth and truth resided within him.
No heart fluttered and colored the truth, nor denied it in favor of dreams and impossibilities; for the Mirror had none and none was required. No ambition nor selfness... his entirety was devoted to two things. His Queen and the truth. Not necessarily in that order at all times, as truth often won out over their ties.
As he floated endlessly thinking on these truths as much as solid truth would allow, he began to feel the chains that bound him to the mirror pull him forth back to where he would be summoned and he allowed himself to be pulled, fearless and unexcited.
For he already knew the truth, as he always knew.
His queen had returned... and now she had decided to call him forth once more.

[>>' It didn't take me over two weeks to get to this....and no, I didn't steal ANY of this post from my PR Sample! It's a lie!] The Queen stepped in the doorway of the Magic Mirror Chamber, her deep black cape following. A faint smile appeared on her face the moment the mirror came into her sight. "Good. They have left my mirror intact." She stated in a low tone as she continued into the room, her shoes making some noise on the stone floor until reaching the carpet where the steps quickly became muffled. It had been a while since she had last stepped foot into her chamber with the lone mirror on the wall. Her dark eyes surveyed the room before landing on a thick leather bound book. The Queen approached it, a frown appearing on her beautiful face at the sight of the amount of dust that coated the book.
It truly had been a long time since she had died. However, something had given her a second chance and she was going to be sure to use this opportunity to it's fullest. The queen placed the book down before moving over to her mirror, cleaning off a small area of it before speaking, summoning the mirror. "Spirit of the Mirror, come from the farthest space. Through wind and darkness I summon thee. Speak. Let me see thy face."
There was no doubt in the Queen's mind that the mirror was not going to answer. She simply had to wait for him to appear and speak. Then, and only then could they begin to plot Snow White's downfall. Her arms remained folded as she waited.
