Beforehand, Cid found himself in yet another strange world. The people there and the structures that were built there were far different than anything Cid himself had ever seen. It was a completely different world from the dark one that he been revived in, or Cocoon for that matter. After the tournament that he had signed up for but bore no fruit from, Cid knew that he just had to find a way to document this...he had to find some way to document evidence of the existence of such a world. After a while, Cid had come across an item with strange signs upon it. It appeared to be a small tablet of some sort. Cid asked the peddler what he wanted for the tablet.
Cid and the peddler had to haggle with each other for a while but Cid was able to gain the small tablet by trading in a bracelet that Cid under his uniform. It was naught but a bracelet with no significant or sentimental value to Cid so he did not mind parting with it. After a while, Cid found himself walking alone. Cid didn't notice or realize that the area he was walking through was devoid of people, that is, until, another portal appeared before him. Cid assumed that this portal would take him to another world as it did the last time. Cid had no reason to stay here. Cid felt that he had gathered all that he could have ever needed. And so, Cid found himself walking through the portal to find himself in a world that was not familiar to him once again.
When Cid turned around, his eyes met with a colossal crystal structure. Cid turned full body toward the structure. Cid narrowed his eyes and took in the beautiful structure before him. It seemed to be a large blue sphere with two heads, one at the very top and one on the side of the sphere. The sphere appeared to be broken as there was a huge gaping hole within the sphere. Cid must be in another world...he had to be. He had never seen this place before. He then looked to his side to see a small seaside village. This village seemed populous in Cid's eyes. He had to gather as much info as possible, he had to figure out how these worlds were connected through the portals that he found himself going in and out of. He had to find out more about this new universe that he found himself in. Although, little did he know...the new world that he was in wasn't technically "new" to him...at all...

Palamecia.
The ship that Nabaat used so many times as her HQ. It was filled with scientists, studying the new flora and fauna of Pulse; designing new weapons and creatures so they could use them in the PSICOM army. Analysing every data they had gathered about their enemies, such as Vanille, Noctis and others that crossed their Lieutenant Colonel’s path. And was all being done with one single purpose: to gather means to destroy the wretched L’Cie once and for all. No matter the costs, no matter how many people were caught in the process. Miss Nabaat’s goal was to vanquish the L’Cie from the face of existence.
As usual, Jihl was sitting on the chair that once belonged to the Primarch, with her legs crossed, baton resting on her lap and a bored look on her face. Everyone was busy trying to locate the L’Cie and yet, no news have been delivered to her. Nothing at all. Ever since Jihl managed to capture Vanille and torture her for info, she haven’t seen another L’Cie or a familiar face in days. She needed something to make her tick. Something to happen. But so far, the PSICOM army had no such luck with things like that.
“Colonel Nabaat!” One of the soldiers said, looking at the virtual blue map in front of him. “There’s someone standing near the city known as New Bodhum. And he is wearing Cocoon’s military clothing.” Jihl rose an eyebrow and stood up, activating the virtual screen in front of her and zooming on the image of the man standing at the beach. “My, my, my…” A wicked smile appeared on Jihl’s face “Mr. Raines. What will he be doing in such place like this?” A tap of her baton and Jihl turned her attention to the soldiers. “Send a squad to his location now. Bring him to me. He must not be harmed. If any of you lay a finger on him, I will personally execute you.”
“Yes Colonel Nabaat.”
[Ooc: Sorry it's small... I was thinking how to approach Cid since he's near New Bodhum without wipping the village from the face of the Earth]

OOC:((I'm sooo sorry that this was late, my internet got cut off at my house!!!!! )) Cid kept his eyes on the village before him. He thought to walk into the town and gather info; it would be the obvious thing to do, however something or rather someone, or perhaps some people kept him from doing so for the Commander of "The Cavalry" had heard some footsteps behind him. Cid wasn't sure whether or not this world was hostile or not. Cid kept still and, in a split second, turned around to see who or rather what was creeping up behind him. He turned to see people that he never thought he would see, the last type of people that he ever expected to lay his crystal eyes upon. Cid knew exactly who these people were...PSICOM troops. Cid's eyes widened at will when he saw the glowing gold colored eyes of the troops approaching him. This could mean one of two things...either he was not the only to have gone through the circumstances that he went through...or he was home. However, it couldn't have been home. Cocoon was a weird place to live...if he had been on Cocoon he would be able to see Eden in the skies...so where was it? Therefore, the only conclusion that Cid could come at was that these PSICOM troops have been traveling from world to world as well, just as Cid was. Cid was correct...that is, until the troops spoke to him, then more alarming news graced Raines's ears. Once the PSICOM troops reached Cid, they told him that they have come to bring Cid to Jihl Nabaat and that she was waiting to see him in the airship Palamecia. Surely they meant someone else; they couldn't have been talking about the Jihl Nabaat that was one of the three heads of the Sanctum army along with Yagg Rosch and himself. Cid's expression grew serious...these PSICOM troops had to have lost mind. They weren't even on Cocoon...there was absolutely no logical reason that Cid could think up to figure out how and why this was happening...but then it hit him...could Jihl have been revived by the same entity that had revived Cid himself. Cid knew that Jihl died when he led the attack on the Sanctum troops while Lightning and her friends went inside the Palamecia to deal with the Primarch... Cid shook his head to himself, knowing full well that all of this did not make any sense. "Jihl Nabaat...Colonel Jihl Nabaat...?", Cid said in shock and confusion. One particular PSICOM soldier then told Cid that he knows that Jihl is supposed to be dead but that he had to trust them when they said that Jihl was indeed alive and well and that they must come with them. Cid crossed his arms and thought for a minute, but he eventually told them to lead the way. After considering the skill level of the PSICOM troops and how easily they are able to be dispatched by L'Cie...like Cid himself, Cid could humor them. Cid promised himself that he would take appropriate action given whatever happens. Cid nodded, giving them the go to lead him to Nabaat, Cid quickly returned to his stoic self when he gave the troopers his consent to bring him to Nabaat. At this point, Cid was not sure what was going to happen...therefore, he didn't have a clear plan...and one of the things that Cid hated was going into uncharted territory unprepared. As Cid and the PSICOM troops made their way to the airship Palamecia's location, Cid couldn't help but think that maybe...he was back home. There is a big chance that Cid might have been the only one to ever leave to different worlds...he couldn't imagine something as gigantic as the Palamecia going through portals and such, thus heading into alternate universes and worlds. It took a while but sooner or later, they arrived at the airship. It would seem that the PSICOM troops were telling the truth...at least from Cid's point of view. He has yet to see Jihl. Jihl Nabaat...that was a person that Cid had somewhat of a history with. Cid Raines and Jihl Nabaat were the top two generals in the Sanctum army with Jhil having control over the PSICOM army with Yagg Rosch as her second-in-command and Cid Raines having control over "The Cavalry" and holding the position of Brigadier General of the Sanctum Fleet. To Cid, Jihl was quite...complex...as most women were...to Cid, of course, but Cid always knew that there was something off about Jihl...something...quite evil. As he walked into and through the titanic airship to find Jihl along with the PSICOM troops that had come to retrieve him, Cid wondered whether Jihl was truly alive. After all, given what has happened to Cid, he had logic reason to believe that anything could happen, for all he knew, the "Jihl Nabaat" might just be an impostor. Cid knew that idea was outlandish but so was everything else that has crossed his path since he had been revived. After a while, Cid and the PSICOM troops had finally arrived at the main bridge. As Cid continued his way forward, he looked up to see a figure sitting usually where the Primarch would sit. This figure was a woman; she had long hair and a baton in her hand. Cid knew exactly who this woman was...and the last thing Cid needed was to see her playing "Primarch"... Cid soon found himself alone as the PSICOM troops went back to their stations and duties aboard the Palamecia. Cid looked around him see various workers and soldiers going about their duties; he then turned to Jihl and stepped forward a bit more. Cid's eye view was glued to where Jihl was as he spoke. "Lieutenant Colonel Jihl Nabaat, I am Cid Raines, Brigadier General of the Fleet and Commander of the Wide-Area Response Unit. I am glad to see that your..."death" was naught but false...", Cid was ready to play this game and gather more info as to what is truly going on; the person before Cid should certainly know their location and what might be going on.

Jihl smiled as she saw Cid in front of her. It seems that she wasn’t the only one to be brought back from the dead. One of the higher rank officers of the Sanctum was now in front of her. Such an ironic twist of fate. Jihl’s eyes narrowed as she analysed Cid from head to toes. He seemed to be pretty much alive… And yet, alone. No army to accompany him.
“I know exactly who you are, Cid Raines.” She answered with a smile on her lips and a tap of her baton. “It is an honour and a personal pleasure to have you in my airship. I must confess that the rumours of my “death” aren’t as foolish as I wanted them to be. I did indeed perished and yet… I stand in front of you pretty much alive.”
She walked towards Cid, still wearing her fake smile while a hundred questions came to mind. But she was stepping on a dangerous territory. Even if Cid was in her ship, he had a rank as high as her. Jihl wasn’t stupid to start a quarrel with him now. One thing at a time. “I am truly surprised to see you in my domains, Raines. I wonder… what happened to your army? I don’t see any of them accompanying you here. Did something happen to them?” [/style] |
