FROM SLEEPING WITH THIS LOADED GUN | [atrb=style, font-family: Tahoma; word-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; background: #000000 ; border: 1px dashed #FF0000; color: 2f405e; opacity: 0.9; padding: 10px;] Something must have tipped them off, told them that this world was the next world who's light seemed to call out that it was in some kind of turmoil... or impending chaos that was soon to consume the world whilst following in the wake. During their world visit that would never have happened if the Heartless did not exist to tear down the walls of the world, the citizens would walk amongst them within the streets of another tranquil Rabanstre day of fair trade among the markets, and laughter of children splashing in the cool public fountain under the watchful eyes of parents and the cool shadow of Queen Ashe's palace. Under its blue skies and stretching horizon of buildings located in the capital city of the country Dalmasca within central Ivalice, Rabanastre didn't seem to be a populace that was silently screaming out for help. A dash of black, a streak of red, a whirl of yellow wasn't describing the mix of any sunset during the high noon of this particular sunny day. It was painting a picture of three large dark objects zooming along the rooftops towards two young women, who happened to be visiting the world at the time, and who the other people in that world did not realize were more closely related than the closest twins could ever be. But these three shapes also linked by a common connection that had been relentlessly hunting them down - as if they had been sent on purpose to - aggressively approached the two ladies and cornered them once they had met together.
As soon as the three bulky shapes had formed a wall to barricade their targets between themselves, and a sheer drop from the top of the building they were on to the streets below, the color armor of red, black and yellow began to... combine. One red monster began to shapeshift into a pair of legs, another yellow one transformed from a helicopter-looking monster into a pair of arms, and surrounding a black monster with skinny arms and angry-looking eyes. The combined monstrosity shadowed over them as a complete humanoid giant, becoming the Unversed Trinity Armor, glinting armor shining its last of the sunlight veiled by rapidly overcasting clouds while it raised its fist at frightening speed down upon the two young girls. And then suddenly - there was a PING of a bullet hitting the head of the giant unversed as it tilted over at the impact, the gargantuan fiend turning to look towards a lone silhouette against a raised rooftop not too far away, a long rifle aimed at it's target as it took aim and fired another echoing crack of a roaring gunshot.
Hydra roared as it fired another shot, the snipping hiss of the bullets leaving the sniper rifle only foreshadowed by the deafening sound of the tri-bullets crunching into the armor of the Unversed's skull, shards flying everywhere as it's owner looked for a weak spot. The gun seemed to roar as if it was some ungodly creature, fiercely protecting it's owner and his new charges, while panicked citizens in the streets below heard the blast and ran screaming in terror after looking in befuddlement at the giant creature. Above them, dagger raven-black hair and tattered crimson cloak swayed in the gathering wind beneath darkening overcast cloud, the frayed edges billowing above a shadow beneath and seemed to disappear as if fading into the fabric of reality, the crimson demon being faced down with the towering Unversed as it turned towards him.
Vincent Valentine crouched as his shadow against the rooftop grew larger, receiving in his direction the punch intended for the females he had sought to defend, pushing out of the crouch and jumping as the negative embodiment of emotion clobbered and shattered the rooftop he had been standing on. Vincent whisked Hydra away and pulled out his trusty handgun Cerberus, shooting rapidly into the gaps in the neck of the titan as he spun while jumping backwards, hopping over rooftops while the Unversed chased him before landing protectively in front of the Princess of Heart and her Nobody.
Having landed in a crouch as he waited for the Trinity armor to catch up to them, he rose to his feet and without turning around, as all they could see of the newcomer was a tilt of his spiky black locks and cloak that floated intangibly as if a phantom, he simply advised them in his deep and sultry voice.
"Evade its strikes, then look for an opening."

{OOC: If you wish me to change anything let me know. I always get stuck on me first posts}
Finally Naminé managed to get a hold of her other half, Kairi. The two girls planned to meet up in one of the worlds that were outside of the Disney Castle’s realm. There was less of a chance that anyone there would know who either girl was. This would mean less of a chance to be attacked….well that was the plan anyway.
The memory witch waited outside in the warm sun. Everyone in that world didn’t bother to give her a second glance. She was most likely just another girl outside enjoy the day, but they had no idea just how wrong they were. Naminé watched as the children played in the fountain that was right next to her. A few of the kids would stop and stare at her or wave. She would wave back with a smile and then they would continue with their games. Even though she appeared to be just another girl it must have been odd to see a teenage girl dressed in a white slip like dress just sitting around. The Nobody decided to get out her sketchbook and draw while she waited. At least this way she would be doing something.
Naminé sensed a familiar presents. She turned around to see her red head look alike. “Kairi!” The blonde twin exclaimed as she got up from the table that she was sitting at. The sketchbook and pencils that she was using vanished as she disregarded them. She went over to hug the princess when she stopped just short of wrapping her arms around her. Her happy blue eyes went into a cold glare. She was no longer looking at Kairi even though she was facing her. Naminé was looking past the other girl as if she could see something in the distance that no one else had noticed yet, and the young Nobody was determined to keep it that way.
Naminé grabbed Kairi’s arm. “We should move.” She said in a worried and urgent tone. “Let try not to draw attention to ourselves and move casually.”
The memory witch head out first at a normal pace. She still had a glare in her eyes that made some of the town folk move out of her way. She head towards a building that had a kind of fire escape on it and started to climb to the roof. Something was coming at the two girls at an alarming rate of speed and her guess was that they weren’t friendly.
The two girls would find themselves back to back surrounded by the three monsters and the sheer drop off the building. Naminé had lead them up to the roofs so that no one down below would get directly involved and had a chance to run. The blonde girl in white watched as the creatures shape shifted into a giant armored monster and clouds began to cover the once sunny scene. The witch fought Heartless and Nobodies before but this thing was new to her fighting capabilities. She really didn’t have any idea what to do. Her main goal, however, was to make sure that at least Kairi made it out of this. She knew that her “twin” could most likely handle herself just fine but the female Nobody didn’t what to take too much of a chance. After all, the Princess of Heart was too important to have her life cut short by this creature.
Naminé took her place in between the Unversed and Kairi. As the creature brought its fist down upon the two girls there was no where they could go. The Nobody flinched and attempted to use herself as a shield for Kairi, closing her eyes as she braced for impacted. She covered the princess right when a loud ping sounded in her ears. Slowly looking up she would discover that the creature was tilted over. The Nobody blinked in surprise and confusion as she looked up at the monster. The sight of the creature standing there with its head tilted to one side was almost comical. If anything it proved that the creature wasn’t too smart. Which gave the two girls a sporting chance/
Naminé leaned to one side to try to see who shot the Unversed as the monster turned around to do the same. She couldn’t see the person properly for how far apart they were from each other. But he had long air and seemed to be wearing some kind of cloak or cape that shifted in the breeze. His arm was out in front of him and the whole gang on the roof top found themselves staring down a barrel of a gun. When the man shot again the loudness of bullet breaking the sound barrier made Naminé jump slightly and gasp. To go from complete silence to a loud boom was enough to make anyone jump, heartless or otherwise.
As more shots were fired Naminé had become use to the sound. She was so curious to who this person was, that she almost forgot that she was in the middle of a fight and that guy was…from where she stood…on their side trying to protect them. The creature went after the man and Naminé let out a small squeal as the colossal beast punched the guy. The fact that the crimson man was able to with stand the blow was enough to tell the Nobody that he was stronger. The girl was glad to know that this person seemed to be on their side. She read him as far as knowing that his heart was in the right place even if it was messed up, abused, and worn out. Despite all that the memory witch was able to confirm that his heart was full of light and they could trust him.
The man finally managed to make it to Naminé and Kairi with a gun swap and a few bullets later. His deep voice as he addressed the two females was somehow reassuring to the Nobody. She couldn’t quite put her finger on it but there was something about this man that pulled her towards him. As the Unversed drew near once again Naminé looked at Kairi. Her deep blue, cold, mysterious eyes locked with the princess’s gentle ones as she gave her a nod to go with the situation.
Naminé walked right up to the stranger and stood next to him without a single worry about the guy possible being an enemy himself. She snapped her fingers and 4 Dusks came out of thin air as the warped in with a strange popping sound. Their bodies contorted themselves in odd ways. At first the Nobodies instincts made them rush at the Unversed since that is what they would normally do when called upon, but with another snap from Naminé they stopped and warped back to their Summoner. The memory witch took the advice the man had given. The creature would be able to run the Dusks down at the speed it was going and if it did that then it would have been pointless to summon them in the first place. Naminé was so use to seeing things as threats and thinking if she moved first then she would stand a better chance, but that kind of thinking didn’t get her very far in the past. It was time to think differently and be smart about things. She was going to do what the man in red and black said. Wait for an opening then strike. Naminé and her Dusks got into a fighting stance as the sky grow darker and the wind picked up blowing Naminé’s hair around her face.
Dusk: Up to 4 Dusks come to my aid per battle. Attack: Hitting enemies by slithering between their legs Defense: taking the hit for Namine so no bodily damage is inflicted on her. (Dusks will die the moment after they are hit.) [Duration: until enemy eliminates all 4 Dusks. Cooldown: One post after all have been defeated.]

Here, in this world, the two girls were no longer protected by the familiarity that belonged to other worlds within the Disney Castle's realm. Here, they became strangers to the world's inhabitants, no longer known to many as a Princess of Heart and her Nobody. On one hand, Kairi was thankful for the slight reprieve; she could fit in here, easily with the civilians, and blend in while on the run from the Organization, Ansem, or any of the usual crowd. Not that she often ran, of course, but sometimes it was better to choose one's battles rather than fight every last one. She was here to visit with Naminé, a friendly face she hadn't seen in quite some time. The girl in question was easily spied amongst the regulars of this world, and the sight of Naminé with her sketchbook made her smile. She wondered what the girl would be drawing next, as all her pieces were beautiful in her opinion.
She laughed at the other's enthusiastic greeting, incredibly happy to see that she was, in fact, safe and sound for the time being. "Naminé!" She called, making her way over to the table. In the midst of such reunion, the vanishing sketchbook and pencils went unnoticed. Just before she could greet the other girl with a hug of her own, the sudden frost within her usually bright blue eyes surprised the Princess, and made her pause. "Huh?" she asked, frowning slightly as her thoughts raced; initially, Kairi feared she had done something to upset her Nobody, yet nothing came to mind. A heartbeat later, she realized those cold blue eyes were not piercing into her own oceanic gaze, and she glanced over her shoulder.
The sight off in the distance filled her with worry. We can't let it hurt anyone! She immediately thought, and before she could speak of her concern, Naminé was already on the move. Following alongside her, the Princess paid no attention to the town folk who also caught sight of Naminé's blue eyes and thus moved out of their way; she was more concerned with making sure none of them were accidentally involved. As they came upon a building which boasted something similar to a fire escape, Kairi silently congratulated the blonde girl for being so clever. Whatever the monster was, she knew it was coming in their direction, and confronting it on a higher level than the innocent civilians below would be the best course of action.
Upon the roof, the two girls found themselves between the three creatures and the sheer drop of the building onto the streets below. When the three enemies then combined to form an even larger, more threatening opponent, Kairi's oceanic eyes narrowed; she didn't recognize this enemy, but she was confident that by working together, she and Naminé could, if not claim victory over the new opponent, at least keep it distracted until help arrived. We just have to believe in ourselves! The familiar thought encouraged the Princess, as the one beside her on the rooftop was the one who, in fact, first gave her such advice.
Until the creature's fist came flying in their direction.
The oncoming attack was too sudden to avoid, as neither girls were known to be the swiftest individuals, and Kairi's eyes widened as Naminé threw herself in front of the Princess expecting to be a sort of human shield. "Naminé!" Cried the Princess, reaching out to pull the girl from her self-sacrificing position. In her mind, both of them were on the same level; she may be a Princess, but she wasn't helpless anymore, and she wouldn't simply stand by and watch as Naminé even attempted to take such a crushing blow in her place. Before she could pull the blonde back by her side however, and before the creature's fist crushed them both into the roof, there was a deafening sound of metal on metal. "What was that?" She asked, gaze locked on the monster as it appeared to share her confusion. Turning to the side, she searched the surrounding buildings to locate whomever shot the Unversed. In the distance stood a stranger with long, black hair and a crimson cloak that swayed almost eerily in the gathering wind. In the stranger's hand was a gun, possibly the very one that first shot the monster. Another shot fired, and Kairi nearly jumped out of her skin. A loud cracking signaled the bullet -- or multiple, she didn't know -- as it was fired from the chamber, and another loud sound marked the bullet successfully hitting its target. Over time, she became less frightened by the sound and was once again able to focus on the Unversed.
The monster turned in the man's direction and charged, leaving the two girls on the rooftop unable to do anything but watch as their unexpected ally was seemingly crushed into the building by the creature's fist. ...Only, he wasn't. The man, whoever he was, had either survived the hit or managed to avoid it all together; his endurance and speed made the Princess even more thankful that he was on their side. Though, by avoiding the Unversed and jumping closer to the two girls on the roof, he was in fact leading the monster back to where it all began, she didn't mind. She was a little afraid, of course, but she was more focused on staying positive in the current situation; now, not only did the Princess have her Nobody on her side in this battle, but they both had the man, their ally, as well. By the sound of his voice, she wondered if he'd fought something like this before or was simply giving them advice.
Her ocean eyes met Naminé's chilly blue gaze and she nodded in silent reply. Whether they were truly ready or not, the true battle was about to begin. As the other girl stepped forward, Kairi too moved to the man's other side. Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw another more familiar enemy take shape; Nobodies, or more specifically, Dusks. She did not know Naminé had the ability to summon Dusks, and though her first instinct nearly caused her to cry out in concern for the blonde, something kept her cry from leaving her lips. They seemed to obey the blonde; by simply snapping her fingers, she kept them from charging at the Unversed which surely would have crushed them with its speed.
"Be careful," she said, only a second before a bright flash of light signaled Destiny's Embrace as it materialized, held in Kairi's right hand. The familiar weight was comforting in times like this for obvious reasons. Readying herself, she took up a fighting stance as the Unversed continued its charge.
"We can win this, together." [wow, kairi, way to be really cheesy at the end there. i'm so so so so sorry it took this long for me to reply, and if i don't get my lazy bum in gear and post in a more timely fashion next round, you can send those dusks after me, naminé darling. ^^' drop me a line if there's anything i need to fix!]

It did not look like rain was on the way as a repreive for the oasis city that was built at the end of a canyon in the middle of the desert, but storm grey patches of cloud that didn't seem heavy with rain blew over the city towards the east. The beneath the clouds came in a different direction beneath the rooftops, if not channel through the buildings then otherwise blowing in a northern direction from the south. This wind blew back the man in red's cape as he faced off against the Unversed adversary to the south, which he had not intended to draw the creature back towards the two girls out of sheer stupidity. Rather, the rooftop he was standing on had been a dead end as far as advancing any further to the west where the building rooftop had been before the Unversed had put a fist through it, and Vincent Valentine had no choice but to risk double-backing across the path of the girls to a larger building where they would be able the creature upon it's broad rooftop without endangering any more buildings and civilians below.
The combined threat gave them little time to react and attacked immediately after Vincent had spoken, blasting a Fireball into the air which arced and landed on the rooftop, scattering into fireballs of equal size that spread out in all directions. This was why Vincent had told the young women that were now behind him, as he lead the monster across the rooftop of the palace itself, to avoid as many of the Unversed strikes as they could before they retaliated. He was only one man and he could not mollycoddle them by protecting both of them forever, and from the way the girl in white had summoned white creatures while the other had summoned a keyblade, he was sure they were more than capable of looking out for themselves more than met the eye. Vincent slid across the rooftops to avoid the fireballs, but one of them did catch him in the back, setting his crimson tattered cape aloft in burning flame. Vincent dropped and rolled immediately, but from the impact of the fireball hitting him square in the back, as when he came out of the roll the cape let off the hint that this man was a abomination of nature as the cape seemed to regrow back into shape as if burning in reverse with a crimson flame at it's edges. Just as his cape repaired itself as the Remnants shot at it during the Battle in the Forgotten City many years ago, and the man did not try to hide this fact, but rather dismiss it as it was not the biggest concern in this battle for survival.
His plan to lure the enormous creature away from the two maidens seemed to pay off, for the Unversed seemed to float across the surface of the palace rooftop towards him, backing Vincent up against the edge of the rooftop before a steep drop and a large goverment skyscraper he could not hope to jump over to. He started to strafe around the combined threat as he let off a few rounds from Cerberus, but it immediately flew across at him in a Charge, ramming into him and sending him flying into the skyscraper and through the now-evacuated office building. Shattering the window, the force of the slam tore Vincent through old-fashioned desks and chairs as they were caught in his wake, Vincent rolling and tumbling until he felt a an excruciating pain in his chest. He looked down, seeing he was impaled through his chest from behind from something metal and excruciatingly sharp... where was his Protomateria? The gaping hole in his chest just stared unthinkingly back at him as an abyss would stare back at a person if one looked at it long enough, and it's blackness pulled Vincent in as he himself blacked out.
An inky blackness, then Vincent found a familiar presence standing over him, within the stagnating darkness that was the inner setting of his own tormented heart. A snarl of a beast was heard, before he looked up and felt the familiar cold and suffocating grip of a devil's claws around his neck. The being known as Chaos hissed at him as it pulled him up by his neck in it's superhuman grip, but Vincent pried his fingers between his bare human neck and the tough skin of the demons hands that felt as if they could be as strong as steel, and slowly... began to pry the demon's grip away from himself. "No. No, you listen to me now. I've have enough of this, Chaos. " Vincent commanded in a fearless tone, as Chaos released it's grip and roared at him, Vincent unflinching by now. "You heard the girl. We work together... that includes both me and you. From this point onward, no more fighting, no more taking control. This is my body, my rules and as long as you need me to sustain a physical body, you're going to learn to work together with me whether you like it or not." he made a stern ultimatum, exercising his mental control as he stepped forward, making Chaos hiss and roar at him as it backed away. "You, and I... we've done enough damage... and now it is time to give back what we have taken from the worlds. No more feeling sorry for an eternity and punishing myself... we fight now, because we have the choice to, and for no further regrets." It understood Vincent's words and knew them to be true, so it spread it's wings as the demonic specter turned it's back slowly on him and faded into the dark side of Vincent's heart, as Vincent turned around to do the same as he looked into a distant light that grew and eventually bathed and engulfed him.
Vincent came to in the real world, sharp pain being a nasty wake up-call, and pushed himself off the table leg that had impaled him. The Trinity Armor outside had forgotten about him as it had considered him dead, turning around to face it's original targets it had been summoned after, this entire time after having dealt with Vincent left a very large gap in time where it's back had been vulnerable for the princesses to deal a chuck of damage to him. It didn't get any further than that, as Vincent launched himself out of the building, landing on the giant's shoulder. Immediately he discharged Thunder from the Thunder Materia point-blank into it's face, a snapping discharge of horizontal lightning bolt, whirling the Unversed around in retaliation. Vincent looked like death himself and perhaps rather alarming, if not already if the girls had not taken in his pale features and blood-drained lips, but now because of the gaping hole in his chest the size of a fist and crimson red as his cloak. The Protomateria, unseen by Vincent, rolled across the surface of the palace rooftop they were fighting on before it came to a complete stop before the panicked masses of Rabanastre citizens filing out of the fountain square below.

Post by Naminé on Jul 7, 2012 14:48:48 GMT -5
Naminé watched as the man in red dashed away from them again and got the Unversed to follow him. The creature was too massive and powerful. She had never fought against anything like this before. When man was cornered and the Unversed charged him the memory witch could only let out a gasp for she had no name to yell. The man in red’s aura was strong and if he couldn’t beat stand against the creature then what chance did a princess and a Nobody have.
The thought of Kairi made Naminé turn her head towards her. She was hold her Keyblade in her hand and looked like she was ready to charge the monster. “If something happens to her then we are both in trouble. I don’t want to have to explain to Riku and Sora who their best friend became tar for someone’s roof.” Naminé thought to herself as she slowly raised her hand and a small suction sound that ended in a pop field their ears. “Forgive me princess…I know you can probably handle yourself but I can’t take any chance since your life is also my life.” With that being said the Dusks swirled around Kairi to disorient her and Naminé pushed Kairi off the building where a Corridor of Darkness will be waiting to catch her. The force of the Nobody’s push caught the Keyblader of guard and as she fell she relinquished the Keyblade as it want flying through the air.
Naminé looked over the edge of the building and was about to jump herself when the sounds of the Unversed caught her attention and she looked back at it. Her eyes fell on the man that had come to save them. He was unconscious from her vantage point and she didn’t know the cold truth of his slumber. She couldn’t just leave him there so she snapped her fingers and the Dusks want jumping across the roof tops. Two of them head straight for the man and the other two attempted to distract the Unversed. They jumped up in the air and slashed at its head with their sharp fingers while trying to dodge any attacks that it might have unleashed, but unfortunately for them they weren’t too good at fighting in the air and were venerable.
Naminé perched herself on the edge of the building and looked back at the Corridor to make sure the Kairi wasn’t going to try to climb out. She figured that the two Nobodies that want to retrieve the guy in crimson would be following soon and was about to once again jump into the portal. Something shine caught her eye that was laying on the roof to her left. She turned her head to see what it was. Destiny’s Embrace was lying where it landed when Kairi accidentally let it go. Naminé hoped back on the flat part of the roof and walked towards the weapon. It was strange that it didn’t rejoin its wielder or disappear completely.
Naminé figured once she attempted to pick it up it would dismiss itself like other Keyblades did when the true wielder isn’t handling them. She bent down to pick up the multi-colored, flowery blade. The thin handle felt cold in her hand. As the blade was lifted off the ground the memory witch found that it was a lot heaver then she anticipated but she still felt comfortable holding it with one hand. As she stood back up she raised the blade to the gray sky the blade seemed to shine for some reason. “It-it didn’t disappear!” She said in shock.
The large footsteps of the Unversed drew nearer to her. She looked over her shoulder at it as her Dusk desperately tried to stop the mammoth beast. The other two Dusks also couldn’t turn a blind eye to the monster and that he didn’t seem interested in the passed out male, they too joined the fray by trying to use their signature snake like move on its feet. Hoping they could trip it up.
Naminé looked at the portal, then at the Unversed, then at the man, then finally at the blade that was in her hand. Without looking back at the portal the memory witch rose her unoccupied hand behind her and the Dark Corridor shut with Kairi still inside. Naminé knew that another portal would open for the princess somewhere else and that she wouldn’t be affect by the darkness that was in the void. So the Nobody didn’t worry about her Other. Instead, she found herself taking a stance and then dashing at the Unversed. She gave all the Dusks that were left the command to snake around its feet.
As the Unversed and the memory witch were finally upon each other; Naminé ran under the creature’s legs. She figured that it would be too big to turn around fast enough to block…at least that is what she had hoped. She hoped up on the Unversed calf and jumped in to the middle section were the torso would have been. She grabbed a hold of its right arm and managed to climb up it. She swung the Keyblade at its shoulder joint 3 times while trying to cling to her position on its arm. She then jumped back to its middle section and grabbed on to the left arm attempting to do the same thing before hopping back on to the roof. She wasn’t sure how many hits she got in...If any…but the Unversed was made up of several creatures. The best option that she could see was to take out its arms and legs so that it would be defenseless. With her hits on the arm and the Dusk’s hits on the legs surely they would have done some damage.
As Naminé reached the ground she looked up at the creature as what was left of her Dusks came rushing to her side. They were all about to go in for round two when a shadow crossed their faces. Naminé could see the man from before jumps on to the Unversed sending what sounded like thunder in its face and sending it whirling. As the monster flailed Naminé grabbed a hold of one of its arms that it had lowered for a split second and climbed up it once more to meet her partner.
Naminé’s eyes widen as the truth of his absence was revealed. The gaping hole stared back at her as her face then feel in to its expressionless mode. “Are you okay?” She said. “I can heal that if we can get away from this thing long enough or bring it down quick enough.” She reached out her hand to the man.

She can use this freely to open one Corridor of Darkness at a time outside battle, but if she is drawn into combat, it takes more concentration and power to use it to move about or escape. [Cooldown during battle: One post.]
