SIDEQUESTS ARE CLOSED FOR THE TIME BEING!
What are Sidequests?
What if the plots don't have the story or idea you want your character to be involved with? What if you like the Missions, but want to do one you can create yourself? What if Namine gets tired of others defending her, and goes back to Castle Oblivion to find a keyblade? That is where side-quests come in.Signing up for Sidequests
If you want to start an original thread, where your character is officially rewarded munny, all you have to do is fill out the application below and post it in the request board. Vincent, or another staff member, will then review your application. If it is accepted, they will respond with the link to the thread. If not, they will contact you to discuss any problems he may find with it, and possible solutions until you can re-submit a final draft that is acceptable. When your Sidequest is accepted
If it is added and there is space for it as a Active thread to the Waiting List, Vincent or another staff member running the Sidequest will set up the thread for you, and once completed, they will credit your account the reward munny for your character to spend. See below about the Waiting List. When your party succeeds in victory!
At the end of the thread, when the staff member has evaluated you have made a effort after a while to earn it, they will wrap-up the thread and any plot/battles your party may be involved in by ending the thread. Then they will also state at the end of the thread that all the remaining characters that have made it through to the end have received munny that will be added to their character's accounts. Then you are free to sign-up for a new sidequest or mission after your character has been given their reward.
RULES
1. How many sidequests/missions can my character(s) do?
Regardless of how many characters you have, a member can only do one sidequest at a time. Until that sidequest is finished, you cannot request for another, or join another sidequest until the sidequest your character is in is finished. This also counts for missions, if you character is in a mission or a sidequest, they cannot join another sidequest/mission until it's finished.2. Only approved sidequests by staff will be given rewards
Any sidequest threads started in a world that are not first posted and approved by staff are not official sidequests. These sidequests will not be accepted as official threads and will not be credited with rewards upon completion and the player's request.3. Only two actions per round during a battle
During any sidequest, characters are limited to only using a maximum of two actions. Actions consist of anything in the battle that is used offensively and defensively to gain an advantage in battle such as; powers (those listed on one's character application), standard physical attacks (a normal attack, punching, slashing a combo etc), and using items (Potions, Phoenix Downs, etc.) This ensures that the character's opponents have a fair chance to write a response both countering the character's attacks as well as making their own.4. When you break the rules
We believe the members will be fair with their characters to dodge or block their opponent's actions according to the powerplay rule, like getting hit as well to make the fight seem realistic. However, please try to be more descriptive on how you dodge an attack. You need to have more than "<your character's name> dodged the attack." This way it's more interesting and realistic.
- Special CasesSummons - Summoning it does not count as an action. However, every action that the summon makes counts as one of your two actions. Also depends on the Final Fantasy the summon is from how it would react.ExamplesHeartless/Nobodies/Minions - Best way to handle, one action per species. Counts as an ability.
FF7 would be a one time summon/attack/dismiss cost.
FF8 - No cost to summon, but the attack would count the next post.
FFX+ - No summon cost but then each ability use counts as an action since they stay out.ExampleChained Attacks - Only count as the same attack if the character is not given a choice to chain it. If it's a canon chain, it is one ability. If it is a non-canon chain, then it would not count as one ability.
All the Fat Bodies doing a Body Slam, some Shadows diving into the floor, etc.So let's say Golbez has his Float A > Cosmic Ray A. Since they're not separate attacks, they count as one action. Especially since you can not use Cosmic Ray A without doing Float A first.Drive Forms/Ex-Burst/Paradigm Shift - Does not count as an action. You are simply changing to a different set of abilities. As for drive forms, you are giving up one stat for power up another.
If you break the rules, the punishments are as follows: First warning will be a correction of the post. The second warning is if they are still at fault, the reward will be banned at the end of the sidequest thread to keep the flow going. On the third and final warning, the member will be banned from sidequests with all characters until approved by staff.5. Waiting List
We have put a limit on the amount of sidequests that are allowed to go on simultaneously. The limit on the sidequests is subject to change and a waiting list has been added to the site so you can keep an eye on when you will be next. When you apply for a sidequest, there is a possibility you will be added to the Waiting List. You need to be paying close attention, as it is your responsibility to be keeping track of it. If you miss posting because you were unaware it was your turn, it is not the staff's fault. The limit on sidequests are determined in the Waiting List. Official Plot sidequests are not included in this number.6. To keep the queue of sidequests moving
Note, Sidequests in which have not been replied to in one week are shuffled back into Pending Raids, in the Waiting List in order to keep the queue moving. They will be cycled back into Active Raids when a post is made less than a week old and there is a slot available within the Current Limit.7. It's a Kingdom Hearts party, and there's a number of you invited!
To keep your thread active and the post order moving faster, it's beneficial to have a small group if you wish to invite friends. Currently the maximum number of characters you can invite to a sidequest is four (including yourself) like a traditional KH party.8. What happens if I drop a character in a sidequest or if it goes inactive?
Sidequests do not have a time limit when they need to post, so they can comfortably go at their own pace/availability, but they will not be allowed to post in if they do become inactive and they are shuffled back into the Pending Sidequests list. See above under To keep the queue of sidequests moving. On average, a sidequest could take as little as a week to finish, to as long as more than a month to finish. If the sidequest is moved to the Archives, or the player(s) become inactive that requested it, the Sidequest can be activated again upon the member's request. Otherwise, it's regarded as dead or finished.
