Selena had only been to this world that would normally been sunny but is now a depressing cloudy dark-gray sky once and already the hooded keybearer has noticed the changes that have occurred at this world. It looked as though there was a dark storm brewing on the horizon, maybe a hurricane because of the harsh winds that had blown off a few ebony feathers from her wings that were hiding underneath the velvet cloak, and it would not be surprising if the sky started to cry cold tears onto the pale white sands of the beach she was sitting cross-legged on at this moment.
The thought that it could be storm season had occurred to the dark warrior but there was something off about the statement. It made Selena wonder while she glanced off at the docks where her corridor of darkness once existed. Along with bending and twisting the trees into a wild and crazy dance, the harsh winds succeeded in blowing the velvet hood off her head to reveal her expressionless face.
In truth, this dark keyblader had always enjoyed the cold weather because in a way, it reminded her of home but home either had become one of the fallen or just out of her reach. Their climates were not the same but the present cold weather could be something that Destiny Islands and her home world had in common but the similarities might end just there ,otherwise, there was little to none to compare and a lot to contrast.
Soon the rain begins to fall and she found herself taking in a deep breath but it was not because of fear as it was tame, Selena had found a sort of peace in the storm but was aware of the danger that it holds. Slowly standing up, the dark keybearer closes her silver eyes to feel the harsh winds slapping her face now with tears of ice known as hail. Her pale white skin would bruise later on, maybe appear the next day, but to her, it was worth the sometimes painful blue-black discoloration of the skin.
The familiar weight of her Heartsickness keyblade in her hand made her curious enough to reopen her eyes to see numerous Shadow Heartless surrounding her. A smirk soon graced her face as they all begin to charge at her but the cracked heart blade of the Heartsickness made sure that their end was met. The increase of the Heartless population of this world also disproves the previous thought of a storm season as it would be simply illogical to her that a Heartless population can increase and adapt to a stormy season or a harsh climate change so quickly. It was simply just not possible.

((OOC: I'm pretty such that this is at least the 3rd time we've RPed with that thread title XD)) Darkness...
It was just such a wonderful thing! And now the once proud and powerful world of Destiny Island had fallen to the evil of Darkness. The once beautiful beaches, warm winds and clear blue skies were now replaced with a bleak atmosphere, thick and heavy storm clouds and strong, somewhat harsh winds that at times felt like they could rip the very skin from your bones. What was even more noticeable though then the physical changes, was that the unbelievably powerful Light coming from the world itself, had now been changed to that of Darkness. Death, suffering, hatred... It was everywhere. Thus, a greatly increased number of Heartless, even more powerful then their weaker counterparts seen across the Kingdom Hearts Universe. A long growling rumble of thunder echoed across the beach and echoed off across the entire island.
Another stronghold of the Light had fallen to the Darkness, increasing their presence and power within this war. And who could have done such a feat? The one responsible was standing inside the wooden shack that made up the tree house, overlooking the beach. His dark figure and matching dark heart, were hidden in the shadows that consumed the inside of the tree house. Glowing turquoise eyes could be seen glaring out across the beach and off into the horizon, watching the dark clouds approaching bringing the rain with them. The winds started to batter the outside of the tree house, but the structure seemed sturdy enough, which was a good thing really, since the black-clad male was actually suffering greatly from a severe lack of stamina and fatigue.
It wasn't just some simple 'walk in the park' to conquer such a strong, Light world. Add to that, the Princess of Hearts, the King of Disney Castle and also the King of a world known as Baron, were here to try and swat the Remnant's attempts of taking over this world. The battle had been long and hard, but the silver-haired man, known as Kadaj, proved once again that he was a dangerous threat and shouldn't be underestimated. He'd already fought and won against half of Organization XIII and now he'd conquered Destiny Island. Kadaj's power was obviously growing and for now, there didn't look like a ceiling was in sight.
The Darkness itself though. It was a dangerous thing, especially to have within your own heart. To abuse such power would only spell out your own demise. Sure, this was a great victory for the forces of Darkness, but the silver-haired Remnant knew that he shouldn't let this go to his head and fuel his ego. After all, he was just some 'puppet' and 'larva' that as good for nothing and a waste of space. Hah! What did those fools know?! What did JENOVA know?!
Kadaj's eyes shifted slightly as he started to hear the sound of hail hitting the outside of the tree house. Moving away from the window, he paced across the wooden floor and over to the door, where he pushed it open slightly and glanced out across the area. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. The world was slowing growing darker and darker with each passing second, and it was thanks to this that he didn't noticed the presence of a new comer to the Island. That was until his eyes landed upon her.. well, on a figure that seemed to look female from this distance. The winds were starting to kick up some of the sand now and the hail itself was starting to become a minor distraction, causing the silver-haired man to shield his eyes with a hand. As he did though, he let out a small wince and quickly lowered his hand back down to his ribs. Something felt broken, probably caused from the fight only moments ago against the Light.
He was still human at the end of the day...
Kadaj closed the door, hearing the wind catch it and cause the wooden door to slam shut harshly. Kadaj staggered back a couple of feet from the initial shock before glaring at it. Shaking his head, the avatar of Sephiroth walked across the tree house again before sitting down against the opposite wall, unzipping his shirt and peering down at the wound on his side. A large bruise and stained blood could easily be seen on the right side of his rib cage. Thankfully, his Mako Regeneration had healed some of the damage, but like the injury he suffered from the hands of Lexaeus, this would put him out of action for a short while too. Speaking of Lexaeus, Kadaj turned his head and looked at the large, thick scar going down his left shoulder where the Axe-Sword of Lexaeus had sunk in. Sighing, the Remnant closed his eyes and leaned his head back against the wooden wall of the tree house, listening to the hail hitting the outside along with the winds and rumbling of thunder in the distance.

((OOC: Really? I've never used this thread title before. Maybe it's the word 'Dark' that's been overused a few hundred times? =P J/K))
The winds were blowing hard causing the sand to fly everywhere while blinding both Heartless and the keybearer who had shielded her eyes with her arm just in time. Most of the Heartless were eliminated but there were a distracted few left so Selena took this chance to escape and ran.
The weather seemed to be slowly getting worse as thunder was heard from a distance and while glancing back to make sure the Heartless weren't following her, the cloaked woman had seen a bright streak of lightning across the already blackening sky.
When Selena was fighting the Shadows, she had spotted the tree house and would have sworn that the door had opened and closed by someone but was not too sure. It could have been the storm forcing the door to do this and that had been her thought as she ran towards the structure.
The consideration of 'knocking before entering' had never even entered her thoughts as they were currently preoccupied with thoughts about shelter from the bad weather and the Heartless that were now giving chase. The dark keybearer swiftly turns around to slash away the remaining Shadows before climbing up the ladder and entering the tree house.
Selena had not yet noticed the Remnant due to the darned door that the wind closed before she was fully indoors and trapped a good portion of her soaking wet cloak outdoors. She growled under her breath before reopening the darned door to pull it indoors.
The wind speedily closes the door loudly again but this time didn't catch her cloak. Selena glances back at him after the thought about knocking finally entered her mind too late. To avoid trouble, she stayed silent and sat down on her side of the room right under the window pane. The dark keybearer was looking away from the Remnant but at the Heartsickness keyblade in her hand but it disappeared in a flash of crimson flame. She doubted that any Heartless would search for her or else they would have found the injured man sitting across from her by now but would the spreading darkness of Destiny Islands cloud the senses of the Heartless? No, the dark keybearer was not aware of a battle on this very world caused it to fall into shadows and no, Selena was not aware that the silver-haired man who she just now noticed caused the world's descent. What this cloaked woman knew about Destiny Islands was little to none aside from previous visit to this world allowed her to notice the difference of before and after the battle that she was not aware of. She was aware of the existence of the Heartless Horsemen thanks to her first encounter with the Keyblade Master and since then, had kept an eye out for those particular Heartless.
Selena was silent and listened to the hail and rain pounding hard outside of the wooden wall. One of her first thoughts was that maybe she could wait out this wild storm but another contradicted the previous one. She only shook her head which in turn flung water droplets from her hair to the wall behind her and the wooden floor. The dark keybearer knew that she probably looked like a soggy dog at the moment because of her soaking wet cloak and hair but did not really give a da** about it.
Although the cloaked keybearer had acknowledge the presence of the Remnant across the room front of her, she was not one to be starting conversations when it was simply easier to allow the other presence to start it.

The storm sounded to be getting harsher and more powerful as time passed. The impact of the hail against the outside of the tree house grew louder and fiercer, which probably indicated that the hail stones themselves were getting bigger. The wooden structure itself started to creak slightly when the strong winds blew past, battering the outside with further assaults of hailstones. Yet whoever had built this, seemed to have known what they were doing. Although there was no glass in the window pane, the while building itself felt like it could easily ride out this storm and perhaps even a worse one. As a result, the figure of the silver-haired Remnant, sat down against one of the four walls continued to rest, with elbows on his knees and his forehead pressed against his forearms, that were crossed over one other in front of him.
As a result, his face was hidden completely from the stranger who walked in, most likely to get shelter from the storm themselves. Yet the Remnant's current presences were only concentrated within the tree house itself. Someone could very well be standing outside the door and he'd be completely unaware of it. When the soaked woman came in though, Kadaj knew about it instantly even though the winds and hail blocked out most the sound of the door opening. Aware of this, Kadaj still didn't move from his seated position. To be honest, he looked totally shattered. A level of tiredness that couldn't be cured by idle rest or any special spells. Kadaj needed to sleep.
When the sound of footsteps fell silent, Kadaj forced himself to look up, raising his head up from his arms and stared out across the tree house straight at the woman who entered. His glowing, turquoise eyes could easily be seen through the silver strands of hair that covered his face. Though at closer inspection, he wasn't looking with his usual, glaring and hateful eyes, but instead with more curious yet tired looking eyes. The Remnant was too late to see the Keyblade within her hand, yet something was telling him that he had crossed paths with this woman before in the past. His cold eyes just watched her some more before he no longer had the strength to keep his head up.
Any normal hero would probably have jumped at this chance to attack the Avatar of Sephiroth, but with the recent battle that just happened, Mickey Mouse, Kairi and Cecil were no where to be seen, or felt. The heroes had fled Destiny Island as soon as the Darkness took control. As soon as Kadaj took control. But with world was full of such powerful Light that had obviously aided the heroes in their attempt to defend this place and now Kadaj himself was suffering from it. Judging by the wound that could barely be seen upon his torso, it would be most likely that the Remnant was suffering from a couple of broken ribs. He was putting on a brave face mostly, but he was only human and it certainly did hurt. His Mako Regeneration would take some time to cure the wound, but only a long sleep would rid him of this fatigue and drained stamina. His thoughts were broken though when he heard a noise coming from his new guest.
Lifting his head again, the Remnant watched as the woman shook her head from side to side, trying to rid herself of some of the rain she had took up whilst being outside. Another clap of thunder echoed from outside, much louder this time which indicated that the storm was getting closer. Watching with his tired yet curious eyes, Kadaj's vision followed the trail of one water droplet, that came to land not too far away from him. With the creaking of leather, the silver-haired man reached out with one of his hands and poked a finger into the tiny water splash. A second later, he brought his farm back up and sniffed slightly at the small droplet on his finger. Darkness... that was all he could get from it, but that was most likely because of what had recently happened to Destiny Island. Yet there was also something there that added to the theory that Kadaj had met this woman previously before. A lot had happened in his life lately and he couldn't really be expected to remember every single person he had came across.
After a few more seconds of silence, some words finally escaped from Kadaj's lips, though were slightly muffled by his current exhausted position. "Do I know you...?" Was all he said, before falling back into silence, wondering if it would be safe enough to try and get some sleep with this woman here with him. Kadaj only trusted three people. Yazoo, Loz and Emil, his Dark Apprentice. She was currently off working with other forces of Darkness in taking over more worlds though. The last they'd seen one another was back in Land of the Dragons. Pushing those thoughts away though, Kadaj's head rose back up as he locked his turquoise eyes back onto the figure of Selena.

Kadaj was not the only one who believed that there was something familiar about the other person across the room. Selena knew that she had met him before once at Traverse Town when the black mask covered her face. Yet she was not aware that the Remnant was there at the Hallow Bastion library when her own ebony wings were in full view. All the dark keybearer remembered from the library on that day was the paranoia she experienced that was first caused by a Shadow Heartless then the flying book. She had resorted to playing dominoes with one of the rows of bookshelves in order to capture the culprit which failed and made the experience worse if not embarrassing. However, the cloaked woman had no intention of harming Kadaj though he may have had that intention in the past encounters. If Selena did, her Heartsickness keyblade would have still been in her hand but it wasn't. The keybearer knew that the Heartless would normally be attracted to her dark heart and her keyblade but it was possible that the world was too dark for them to sense or else they would have located her and the Remnant in this sturdy tree house by now. One of her first intentions was to leave the Remnant alone for three reasons. One was because of his current injury and fatigue. The second was because attacking him now was an unfair advantage on Kadaj's behalf and she did not believe in the 'attack now, ask questions later' belief. The other reason was his temper and somehow for some reason, Selena doubted that it was limited to his current tired state. Otherwise, she was following the one rule where ‘Do unto others as they do unto you.’ applied. …Or maybe it was the other way around…. That intention went down the drain when Kadaj asked her if he knew her. The keybearer glanced at the man across her and noted the curiosity in his turquoise eyes. “…Do you or you don’t?”answered Selena rather calmly with a ghost of a smile in an attempt to lighten the atmosphere before glancing at the window pane above her, How the hail and rain hasn’t flooded this room already, I will never know… If one had listened closely, there was a small hint of a humorous tone cleverly hidden as she had voiced her answer. Selena had not moved from her sitting position under the window pane and she did not want to move from her spot. The keybearer had enough of the storm outside as even she can see that it would only grow worse until it either passed over or destroy Destiny Islands. She did not know how long it would take for the world to become overrun with Heartless or how long it would take for said Heartless to find two dark beings in a tree house sheltering from the storm.

The storm was growing fiercer, but only gradually at the moment. It was most like going to get a lot worse, which would probably cause either one or both of the dark hearted beings to act against it, finding some way or something to block the window pane to stop the rain, hail and wind from entering the tree house itself. Fortunately for now though, the storm was battering the tree house at a different angle to which the window pane faced, so hardly any of the weather from outside was physically getting in. The wind wasn't having too much trouble though, seeping in through the tiny cracks and gaps in the wooden walls, but it was reduced severally thanks to said walls. The temperature was bound to drop at some point too, but for now it was still mild from being sunny only a few moments ago.
Kadaj himself remained sitting where he was, continuing to watch the woman across the room from him with his glowing, curious eyes. After a short while staring at her, the female's face did start to look familiar, but before he could pursue it further with his thoughts, he felt his ribs twitch, causing him to wince slightly. His head vanished into his arms again as this happened, not wanting his 'guest' to see the pain stricken look upon his face. A broken rib, or a couple of them even, wasn't just something you could ignore and shake off, especially if one of the ribs had snapped and was pressing against one of your lungs. That caused constant pain and even stopped the victim from moving even a finger until their breathing had returned to normal.
The silver-haired Remnant was fortunate, but even so, receiving wounds hurt. He couldn't lie about that, and if any other hero or villain said it didn't hurt, then they'd be lying through their teeth. Naturally, the Remnant put on a brave face and did his best to ignore it, keeping his breathing slow and calm, as not to aggravate his ribs too much. Sooner or later, Mako Regeneration would heal the bones and then a nice long sleep would cure the fatigue. It was better to recover this way too, since casting a white magic spell such as Cura didn't allow the bones to grow back stronger, merely returning them to their previous state. So Kadaj just had to endure it. Thankfully though, his current companion seemed to be here just to get out of the storm and didn't look or feel like she'd be attacking him anytime soon.
Finally the constant pain in the Remnant's chest eased and he managed to lift his head back up again, his eyes looking straight back to the woman across from him. A small smile appeared on his lips but this was completely invisible due to his hair and his arms being in the way. "Heh... I'll take that as a 'yes' then. Any other person would have just honestly said no otherwise." The sound of pain was visible in his tone, since his chest had to rise and fall to take in air as he spoke, thus agitating his ribs slightly. His head didn't move though this time. He just kept staring off towards the woman, not really trusting her at all, but respecting the simple fact that she obviously didn't want to be stood outside in this weather.
The ever increasing power of Darkness taking over this world was certainly making it awfully hard to sense who or what was outside on the beach and the rest of Destiny Island. Kadaj himself had lowered pretty much all his abilities to a bare minimum, bar his Mako Regeneration. He'd even suppressed the Darkness within his heart to try and help make him 'blend in' to the ever growing Darkness of Destiny Island. In time, the Remnant would be able to 'feed' off the worlds Darkness and use it to strength himself back to normal. It was just going to be a waiting game till then. As a result, the Remnant just still continued to sit in his crouched position. Legs bent, arms crossed over knees and head just peaking out from behind arms, as if he were a child sulking after being told off by his parents. Hardly. Kadaj was awfully proud with himself and his recent action and victory over the Light. It was just so darn painful...

With every intention to wait out the storm, Selena had either kept her silver orbs on the floor or on the window pane above her. There would be a time when either she, Kadaj, or the both of them has to find something to block the window to prevent any more of the rain or hail to enter the tree house they had taken refuge from the storm but not now due to the direction the storm was hitting the tree house. The keybearer did not want to become any wet than she already is and the wind that has managed to slip through the cracks of the tree house is not helping much.
The woman had started to nod off when she had heard the Remnant wince and glanced at him once before shifting her position to sit with both of her legs bent yet seemed to slouch though the reason were her ebony wings hidden under the rain soaked cloak. Her cloak was not water resistant therefore the material of her cloak had absorbed the rain as did her wings. It was not very fun walking around in a water drenched cloak and the extra weight in her wings because of the rain made it even worse. She was grateful that Kadaj had not kicked her out in the storm.
Selena silently rummaged through the pocket of her cloak until she finds a small vial of potion and pulls it out before lightly tossing it to the Remnant mainly because it would more than likely roll into a crack in the floorboards. The second was to test Kadaj's reflex ability.
"It should make your injury a bit more manageable. It won't completely heal it but it should stabilize for a while."stated Selena as she glanced at the wall to her left. She personally knew the effects of the potion due to the End of the World incident and did not want to relive it nor remember it.
"Would they?"asked the dark keybearer calmly as she placed an elbow on her knee while her hand held her chin. Experience allowed her to remember that sometimes people are 'attack first, introductions later' while others are only talk and no action. Somehow Selena felt that the Remnant fell into the latter category though she was not even looking for a fight.
The woman was only going to wait the storm out and had mentally decided that if it wasn't going to disperse within the next few hours or so, she would summon a Corridor of Darkness and leave. Otherwise, she was stuck here with Kadaj for a while.

A rumble of thunder echoed throughout the tree house, before being followed by a much loud and closer one that shook the very structure that the pair of dark hearted beings rested in. The wood shook against each other gently though and wasn't enough to cause any damage at all. The clap of the thunder though, might leave a ringing in your ears for a few moments. The Remnant himself didn't move when the almost deafening thunderbolt struck the island only seconds ago. The rain was clearly getting heavier now, indicating that the main part of the storm was pretty much right overhead now. Looking up from his slouched position, Kadaj cast his glowing eyes off towards the window pane and watched casually as the almost black clouds rolled past quickly as the winds too seemed to be getting stronger.
Kadaj could only grin. This version of Destiny Island was much more entertaining and fitting for the power and dominance of Darkness. Shame that it had to be so wet... without proper care and attention, his hair was get messy and fuzzy with too much water. Kadaj sighed to himself and returned his forehead to his arms, resting it against them as he closed his eyes and tried to relax once more, having trouble at that since the soaked woman from outside was now in here. Kadaj didn't trust anyone so there was going to be little chance of him actually being able to fall asleep and become open to attack with some stranger here with him. He'd just have to endure and rely on his Mako Regeneration. That would have been the case up until he felt something hit the left elbow, making the gently tinkle of a glass object hitting something.
Quickly glancing up, Kadaj caught sight of a small vial containing a green liquid rapidly heading towards the wooden floor. Open closer examination, the Remnant noticed the several small cracks and splits in the floor, most of them big enough for the vial to easily fall through. Like the tongue of a chameleon, Kadaj shot out his arm from upon his knees and snatched the vial out of the air, before letting his legs fall out from in front of him till they were stretched out before him. Leaning back more on the wooden planks behind him, the silver-haired man raised the vial up to his eye, squinting at the liquid within as he shook it slightly. The zipper on the Remnant's leather chest piece was still undone slightly, allowing his current guest to see the wound on his ribs, plus the large scar going down his shoulder.
Kadaj obviously didn't care whether she saw them or not. By now his senses were locked onto her and he was trying to get all the information about her, from her heart, as he could. His face looked brighter too and more alive as the young swordsman had obviously raised his darkness back to a more suitable level, which in turn returned his stats and abilities back to normal. Still eying the vial though, Kadaj's glowing, hateful eyes looked back over to the young woman where he just watched her in silence for a moment, just staring at her. He listened as she spoke before returned his stare to the vial. Shaking it once more and hearing the liquid dance around inside, he brought up his free arm and pulled the small cork out, before drinking the whole lot.
She was it was going to help cure his wounds but for all the Remnant knew, it could very easily have been poison. Though green liquids typically do come across as potions or elixirs. The effects kicked in quick and the Remnant felt himself quickly regaining his strength. His fatigue was still pretty low so if a fight did break out anytime soon, he'd not manage many attacks before having his strength falling again. Sticking the cork back into the vial, he tossed the container back to his roommate, before bringing up one of his legs and hugging the knee to his torso, covering the chest wound. "... Thanks." Was all he said before returning to staring at her. She felt and looked familiar, but the silver-haired man was having trouble putting a name to the face. She felt strong too, now that he was focusing himself more on her. The 'keyblade' type of strong at that. This instantly put the Remnant on mental alert, making sure that he'd be able to draw his Souba should anything happen. He made no indication to this though, as he remained to just sit there and watch her, listening to the storm.
The Remnant turned his head away from the woman and off towards the door, before smirking slightly. "Well, I guess not really. it's smart not to trust anything that people whom you don't know, say." The young man said before slowly turning his head back at the woman and wondered for a second why she seemed to be sitting in a slightly awkward looking position. Did she have a bag on her back of something?

The Remnant did not need to stay alert as Selena did not plan to summon her keyblade to fight him. Her only intention was to shelter herself from the storm raging outside of this tree house that seemed to be sturdy enough to hold out through this storm. The keybearer remained somewhat relaxed due to the storm that is practically overhead them and her sitting position. The cloaked woman did not seem to care whether Kadaj knew or not that she was a keybearer. Actually, the Remnant might not be able to recognize her because the cloak was off both times in Traverse Town and at the library in Hallow Bastion although she was not aware of his presence there. He might only be able to recognize Selena by her ebony wings. However, Selena did remember that she was the one who dumped a pail of water (and pail) on the Remnant at Traverse Town to give someone enough time to escape. She did not remember seeing the effect the water had on his silver locks because there had also been a storm that day. The real reason that he might not remember her was because she had never given him a name to match her memory. Unintentionally catching Kadaj watching her, the dark keybearer glanced at him as he thanked her for the potion. She gave him a short nod and caught the empty potion vial he had tossed back to her before pocketing it. "That is understandable."answered Selena calmly though expressionless as she mentally noted the scar on his shoulder and the chest wound and that he may have been in a recent battle against someone powerful otherwise the information was nothing of value to her. Although the woman did carry a back bag which was left carelessly outside in the storm, her somewhat awkward sitting position was due to her wings hiding underneath her soaked through velvet cloak. Her wings were too heavy with rain water to even lift herself an inch off the ground and to fly outdoors was suicide in this black storm. Selena glanced at the window pane above her as soon as she saw hail and rain enter the tree house. She sighed underneath her breath in exasperation and glanced around for anything to use to block the glass-less window. All her silver eyes could see were loose nails on a few of the wooden boards close to her that were still good to use if one can manage to pull them out without bending them. Otherwise she had an idea of using her cloak to cover the window pane from the inside to prevent any more of the hail and rain from entering. The only problem was the lack of a hammer and the keybearer somehow doubted that Kadaj would lend a hand because of his wound. The woman pulled a few of the already loose nails out of the boards and scooted to the left before standing up to avoid getting hit with rain and hail. In her right hand, the Heartsickness keyblade was summoned but the use of it was either going to be awkward or just plain silly depending on the Remnant's sense of humor as the blade was going to replace the hammer. Revealing her wings in the process, Selena took off her cloak and carried in her left arm before carefully (She did not want to accidentally hammer down the wall or permanently hammer her cloak there.) managing to hammer the cloak on the window before sitting back down on the east wall. It didn't take long for her to notice that her present sitting position was similar to Kadaj's earlier sulking kid position though it was mainly because of the weight of her wings and mentally cursed. It was going to be a long day.

The storm certainly was getting stronger and ever more vicious with each passing minute. Though with the storm right overhead, it wouldn't be too long before the main bulk of it passed and the weather could gradually get better again. Well, that also depending on if the winds continued to blow or if the main part of the storm itself was several miles across. From taking another quick glance out the window towards the skies, all the Remnant could see were the flashes of lightning and the hail zipping past against the close to pitch black sky. It was amazing at the sheer limitless boundaries of the Darkness had and Kadaj pondered for a moment, wondering if he himself had any limits to his strength and use of the Darkness? Sure, he was much stronger now then when he fought Cloud on Gaia a couple of years ago but with the strange logic and laws that the Kingdom Heart universe held, meant that Sephiroth, Cloud and nearly everyone else with a strong heart also had the potential to get stronger and stronger.
Of course, strength isn't everything.
Suddenly some movement caught his eye and the Remnant watched as his roommate got to her feet and removed her cloak, which did look soaked through and heavy to wear. It was then that his memory was jogged. Black wings and a Keyblade? A very familiar looking Keyblade at that... but where had he seen it before? Kadaj just remained sitting where he was, though clearly on guard now as his eyes were narrowed and focused entirely on the woman across the room, nailing her cloak into the wall of the wooden tree house in an attempt to stop the rain and hail from entering the room. It seemed to work none-the-less but at the cost of her revealing her wings and reminding the Remnant of who she was. Plus her Keyblade...
Kadaj hated Keybarers. All of them! Dark or Light, they all had to be destroyed! Sora, Riku, Roxas and that newly appointed 'Keyblade Princess' Kairi. That made the Remnant smirk, remembering that Kairi had come to the defense of this world what he attacked it along with G-Slayer. Even King Mickey, another Keyblade Master had came to help fight but the fate of this world was unavoidable. Even with the strength of two Keyblade Masters, Kadaj's strength was just too much. Had he finally surpassed Sephiroth? That caused a rather excitable shiver to pass through the Remnant's spine, but he knew that as he got stronger, then so would Sephiroth. They were the same person afterall... as much as Kadaj didn't want to admit it.
So now what? Kadaj knew he had met this woman before in the past, but no names were matching the face or the wings. Plus she was a Keybarer, so should he attack now while he possibly held the element of surprise? The mild throbbing in his chest reminded him that he was still injured and needed to rest further before attempting to fight anyone else. Add to that, that if the tree house was destroyed, then there would be no more shelter for them. True, Kadaj could easier open up a Dark Portal and head off to the next world but to be honest, he was rather enjoying the sensation of feeling the ex-Light world plunge further into the Darkness. At that, the Remnant watched the winged woman a little more until she finished her job and sat back down again, in the same way he had done before drinking the vial.
"I bet those wings are awkward. How do you cope with them?" The silver-haired man asked, his tone sounding more awake now too as he tilted his head to one side slightly, as if trying to look around the woman and examine her wings some more. They were oddly beautiful, but at the same time they reminded him so much of his elder 'brother', Sephiroth. The One Winged Angel had a wing just like that, thanks to the Jenova Cells within his body. A monster? Kadaj unintentionally reached one of his hands back and rubbed at his shoulder blade for a second, wondering if he'd turn out the same as Sephiroth and become a monster as well. It was then that he remembered Loz asking him if they were indeed monsters. Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo, the Remnant's of Sephiroth whom were born from his emotions and created to solely seek out Jenova and complete the Reunion.
Shaking his head slightly, Kadaj shook it off. They weren't monsters and they weren't mindless puppets of Jenova anymore... well, he wasn't too sure about Loz and Yazoo, but Kadaj had already decided that it was time to act as a sole group, of their own free will and carve their own paths through fate and destiny. Sephiroth and Jenova were nothing now, as proven when the silver-haired Remnant conquered this world. He did it for himself, and the Darkness. To destroy the Light once and for all. But why did this woman have wings? Kadaj couldn't detect any Mako or Jenova Cells within her body, plus she had two wings compared to one the one of Sephiroth, Angeal and Genesis... Was she a fallen angel or something? Well, there was little else to do right now, so the Remnant spoke up once more. "Where did you get them from? Were you born with those wings?"

When she had taken off her cloak, Selena had felt the atmosphere darken but had not known why until after the deed was done. It had occurred to her that it may have been her keyblade attracting Heartless again (It did happen before.) but she was sure that it wasn't. However, her mind let go of the subject before it can cause trouble.
The winged keybearer knew that either her keyblade or her wings would cause some questions to arise as it was not common to witness either of them. To see both together was a whole different thing if not insanely unique and that may cause some misunderstandings like mistaking her for an angel or a fallen one. Selena was not an angel and was as mortal as her roommate.
Selena sighed as the said roommate mentioned the awkwardness of her wings before asking a few questions about them with one very familiar one. "You get used to the weight after a few months or so..."answered the winged woman as she stretched her ebony wings not even to their full wing span due the cramped tree house before covering herself with them mainly because of the cold.
She had not realized it yet but her answer had answered two out of the swordsman's three questions and that answer would allow his mind to wander different situations which would include experimentation of where and how she had gotten her wings. If Selena had told him the real truth of how she had gotten her wings from a Station of Awakening as a gift from the Darkness, what would have been his reaction if not rage?
Surely, the swordsmen must know that some secrets must and should stay secret right?
((OOC: Ick, muse death. Sorry.))

The more Kadaj watched those wings, the more they reminded him of his elder brother, Sephiroth. He'd not seen Genesis' or Angeal's wings before, but he had heard stories of them both having one. Apparently, Angeal's was white, compared to the black ones of Sephiroth and Genesis. An uncomfortable twitch came from the Remnant's shoulder as the more he thought about it, the more he really didn't want one for himself. To be associated even MORE with Sephiroth would just be unbearable. He'd come this far by himself so he really had no reason to want to go back to being part of him again. That included Jenova as well. Kadaj shuddered, unsure if it was because of his thoughts, or due to being in the same situation as his roommate, and was merely just cold.
Chalking it up to the latter, as the Remnant didn't want to think about his awkward family anymore, he glanced from left to right in hopes of finding something that might be of use to keeping himself warm. He wasn't as soaked as the female was, but the once hot and sunny Destiny Island was now cold and very very wet and windy. Nothing came to his vision though, and the chances of setting the whole structure on fire in an attempt to make a smaller on inside, were pretty high. The cape nailed firmly over the windowpane seemed to be worked for keeping the hail and rain out though, yet both the Remnant and the winged woman were still cold. By time Kadaj's eyed returned to his roommate, he'd noticed she had took the liberty to wrap herself up in her wings to try and trap her body warmth within them. Smart thinking, but with cold, wet wings it seemed unlikely to work.
Kadaj himself just pulled the zipper of his leather chest piece back up before folding his arms across one another, sticking both legs out straight before him with one resting on top the other. He lowered his head at the same time and closed his eyes, relaxing yet keeping his senses tuned and locked onto his comrade for now. Keeping himself awake by extending his awareness to outside the tree house, the Remnant picked up a heck of a lot of activity. Heartless seemed to be everywhere! Was the Darkness taking over Destiny Island just churning out all this monsters with no end in sight, or could it just be that, and the world was confusing him with the Darkness itself? Playing tricks on him and his senses? The Remnant tried to pin point a specific part of outside, mainly the beach and indeed, there didn't seem to be any physical life forms out there, at least none with hearts anyway. The only way to get a certain confirmation would be to open the door and look outside.
Maybe it was because he was tired? Believing that to be true, he forced himself to open his eyes and return himself to the present, which to then he looked back up and over to the wing-wrapped female. He watched her once more, studying her and her wings. "A few months? Why would it take you so long to get used to them? I'd imagine you nearly lost your heart a few times to the Heartless because of that, huh?" The Remnant said, his tone while speaking clearly revealing his hate for the Keybarer and all the ilk just like her. To get up now and rend her asunder with his Souba, would be a most satisfying feeling. But instead of that, he just continued to sit there and wait out the storm, before most likely returning outside to see how the world had changed since his victory.

"You could say that....They are heavier than they appear."answered the dark keybearer with a small hint of a smile but her ebony wings had hidden it, "Why do you ask?" Although her statement was true, there was another reason as it was also painful to move those same wings during the first few months before the weight on her back was comfortable to the point of even thinking of the notion to fly.
Selena had noticed the hate in voice; but it was her choice to ignore it and so she did without throwing away this fact from her mind.
The winged woman had almost felt his eyes on her and her wings but did not say anything of it.
The swordsman was correct about her wet wings being too cold to trap her body warmth but she was already used to freezing temperature and liked it; mainly because it reminded her of home. Selena wasn't shivering despite being soaking wet and covering herself with cold wings. One can safely claim that she was born cold.
With her mind coming close to blocking out every noise from the storm and even the sound of the zipper, silver eyes closed but quickly reopened to reality as soon as a horrible sound, like someone's nails scratching a chalkboard, from the direction of the door. The world was too dark for her to tell whether it was a Heartless trying to get in or just the wind throwing odd objects at the door. Yet the keybearer glares with her eyes turning gold for a split second at the source of the noise and her body tenses but does not summon her keyblade. At least, not yet if it should come to it.
Long ago, Selena had learned the hard way to never rule out any possibility and the lesson had never left her ever since. It was a bad idea to start learning to forget that lesson now when she might need it most.

Kadaj said nothing in reply to her at the moment. Instead he just lowered his head and closed his eyes for a second, remembering the time back in the past when he had his own wing. He had become a monster like Sephiroth and Genesis had. But where had it gone? He couldn't remember having it removed or cut off. Perhaps it was a dream that he had this wing? The Remnant ran his hand from his shoulder downwards, past and over his shoulder blade as he tried to remember more about it. The wing was useful, granting him brief periods of flying and also greatly enhancing his already unbeatable speed. Kadaj was proud of his speed. It didn't matter how tough his enemy was. If they couldn't hit him thanks to his speed and agility, then they could have all the power in the world.
"I remember having one of my own... Just a single wing. Was very useful..." Was all the Remnant said as he returned his eyes to the woman across the tree house and watched her as he used to previously. His eyes glowed as usual as he focused his cat-like pupils onto her figure, covered by her wings now. Having two must be awkward in more ways then one, such as wanting to go to public places and the like. Shopping and whatnot. But then again, there were plenty of weird and strange things to see wondering about Traverse and Twilight Town compared to a woman with wings. Take the moogles for example and the animals that can walk and talk like humans. Sure it was still strange to see a human with wings, especially when the only other ones that had such things were the before mentioned SOLDIERS of Gaia.
Kadaj sighed slightly to himself as he just watched the woman across from him. She certainly didn't have Mako or Jenova Cells within her, so how exactly she got these wings, could remain a mystery to him. Not that the silver-haired man actually cared about her wings but these thoughts were cut short when he himself heard something coming from the door. It was most likely just the wind, but if there were indeed heartless outside that door, then they had obviously sensed the Keyblade that the woman drew in other to knock the nails into her cloak. It was that Keyblade, that the heartless had sensed thus it was her they were after. Kadaj glanced towards the door, missing the winged woman's eyes flashing a golden colour. What was outside that door? it was most likely the wind and thanks to the increased Darkness in this world, Kadaj was still having trouble adjusting to it, being able to recognize what was living and what was not.
Instead, his eyes returned to the woman for a second before pushing himself up to his feet. The Remnant dusted himself down and then stretched his arms up over his head, standing up on his toes as he did, just to stretch out his body from the time sitting down. His boots clunked against the wooden floor as he returned the weight to his heels before taking a couple of steps forwards till he was standing roughly in the center of the tree house. With the Darkness growing stronger with each passing second, it would be wise to absorb some of the Darkness while it was still fresh and ripe, allowing the Remnant to 'power' himself up, of sorts. The Remnant's heart was darker then the world itself and with the more Darkness inside of it, the stronger and faster he would become. It was only logical. Kadaj had taken control of this world and now he was going to reap the benefits as a reward, by taking some of the Darkness into himself.

Selena glanced at the swordsman as he mentioned of once having a wing. Despite being curious, she did not press the subject any further. Although she was not easily irritable, the dark keybearer knew that he was due to experience at Traverse Town.
The winged woman silently agreed with him about wings being useful. She had gone to places otherwise inaccessible by foot. They had also given her a sense of pride of being one of the dark and a sense of freedom that the light had never offered her. But he is right about them being awkward even in the most common places such as the marketplace.
Selena was not aware of three others with only one wing only one of their shoulders. As far as the dark keybearer knew, she was the only one who even had extra appendages that enabled one to fly on their back.
The roommate was correct about her keyblade as it does attract as many Heartless as it can possibly can so the owner of said keyblade could mainly eliminate said Heartless. Sometimes a keybearer run from their enemy but it is not funner than hacking them away.
Selena had glanced at the swordsman when he had stood up and stretched. But her eyes returned to glaring at the door as soon as she heard the same terrible sound coming from the direction of the door. Physically, the winged woman winced and her eyes flashed gold then returned to their normal silver color within one whole second due to irritation at whatever is causing the annoying noise.
"If it's a cat, feel free to throw it into a corridor...."mutters the dark keybearer underneath her breath with the fact that she was annoyed clear in her voice. Normally, the winged woman didn't mind cats, or any other animal; but due to the noise, she strongly disliked whatever is causing it. Other than that, the darkness of this falling world may be rubbing off on her which in turn might make her a tad more easily irritable than usual.
Her wings shifted so only the left wing covered her like a shawl over her shoulders while the right wing was tightly folded against her back out of habit even though there was no cloak to cover that wing. The odd positioning of her wings left her right arm exposed but ready to summon her keyblade just in case despite her current sitting position that Selena does not want to move from.
The dark keybearer glanced at the swordsman who had roughly walked to the center of the tree house and wondered what the heck he was doing. To her, the Remnant was just standing there acting stupid while the world was too dark to even tell what was going on outside of this tree house and indoors.
