"Ladies and Gentlemen!!" The short goat-like man yelled out into his small cardboard-looking megaphone, bellowing at the crowds and audience as their cheers and chants shook the very foundations of the Coliseum itself! "It's time for the second match of the Semi Finals!! The winner of this round will proceed into the all important Final Round!! Who will it be?! Cheer for your favourite, boo for the underdog! It doesn't matter!! One of these two contestants will be heading into the Final Round!!" Phil said as he turned from side to side, walking in a small circle so he was able to speak to everyone in the arena at once. The audience themselves were making such a racket that goatie Phil could hardly be heard. Chants and cheers were echoing throughout the Coliseum, both sides of the arena yelling out for Silvia and for Lightning, just as equally. The audience themselves seemingly forgetting just exactly what was happening out in the other worlds around them for the time being. It was sort of like Blitzball on Spira. A form of entertainment to help them forget about all the bad things happening around them, such as the Heartless and the wars going on being fought for the worlds themselves!
"Please will you welcome to the Arena for the Semi Final round, our favourite female fighter, Lightning and the dark and mysterious woman from Vana'diel, Silvia!!!" Phil quickly teetered out the ring as the roars and cheers of the crowd seemed to grow even louder still!

Lightning stood in her corner of the ring, The high stands created a shadow, which made her hardly visible. She watched as the goatman warmed the crowd up. Lightning looked into the stands, noting how many people were in it. She couldn't believe it. So many people were here to watch her fight. It felt like the crowd was getting larger and larger, with each passing round. At her first battle, she didn't recall this many people being present during her first fight. It was more then the last round also. She never imagined that this many people would ever want to watch her fight. Or that she would be in the center of the ring like this. Fightning to provide entertainment for the people, and to win a large gold trophey, or whatever the prize might have been. But Lightning wasn't looking at this as a chance to win some old trophey. Or a chance to bask in her own glory, if she should win. That wasn't her at all. She wasn't here for a selfish reason like that.
No. Lightning was here for the fight. She wanted to be in a good match. She didn't want to have an easy victory. If she was going to find a victory, she wanted it to be a match that she actually earned the victory in. She wanted to come against all odds and win. All other victories just sort of fell sour. They just meant that you were going to go an and fight another round. But thats not what Lightning wanted. She wanted a challenge. She wanted to go up against a difficult opponent. And she'd even admit defeat if she had to, should the enemy be easily stonger than herself. Lightning was looking at this as a sort of experience. A chance to see how strong that she was. And be able to compare her strength to the other participants of the Tournament. That is the reason that she had signed up for the Tournament. She didn't need a trophey or any sort of prize like that. She didn't want the affection and admiration from the crowd. All of those things meant absolutely nothing to her. And even if Lightning lost the Tournament, she wouldn't care. Because she got to participate in many fights against all sorts of people. And grow stonger herself. It was a good experience, being a participant in the Tournament.
And now she had to go at another battle again. This could be the second to last battle for her, or the last one, dependign on if she was victorious here. But she wasn't obsessing over a victory. She just wanted to be able to get a good fight in. Lightning listened as the goatman went on, and she sighed. He was trying to get the crowd warmed up for the fight. They probably wouldn't be as interested if they weren't this reved up. She didn't mind too much, but it just sort of dragged on. Lightning waited for her name to be called, currently facing the wall in front of her. Her back was to her opponent. That is if her opponent could even see her, due to the large shadow that was being overcast in her corner of the ring. Lightning shut her eyes for a moment, to clear her head. And then she head her name called. And people were actually cheering for her. She still couldn't get used to something like that.
When she came into view for the people, some of the cheers got louder. She was impressed. Did she have...fans? It was interesting to think that she did have fans. But she kept walking and looked over at her opponent. This opponenet was different from all of the others that she had fought. Mainly because, she was a girl. Lightning had been up against all men, and she hadn't been aware that another woman was in the fight. Either way, this should be an interesting battle. Lightning's crystal blue eyes focused on her opponent, as she gripped her gunsword, pulling it from its resting position. She kept it at her side, not pointing it at her opponent just yet. She was going to do the same thing that she did during each battle. Let her opponent make the first move. That strategy had worked for her before, and she was hoping that it would work for the third time.
"Your move..." Lightning said in a neutral tone of voice.

Well well.. She had gotten far in this strange tournament. Perhaps she had a chance to win. Her first match during this tournament had been against the Mithra, Zidane. That monkey was just as annoying as the first time she had met him. The second match was against the first member of Organization XIII that at least seemed serious. Unlike Roxas, Xion, Xigbar, and Marluxia. So far she had gone through one that was not serious and one that was serious. Since she was now in the semi-finals, she didn't expect any that was silly any longer. This brought a thought of a clown villain to her mind. She sighed and walked up when her name was spoken.
Her next opponent was in the shadows. A female opponent this time. Mithra, Nobody, Female. So far whenever she fought it were Heartless and Humes, and all Males except for one joke she never understood. The girl lifted up her axe and placed it behind her head as she walked up on the field and looked over the woman. The color hair made her remember Marluxia, another joke? The woman seemed at least more serious, but she could very well remember how she first praised Marluxia in her head and then she found him the biggest moron ever.
The woman then spoke in a neutral tone. Silv was allowed the first move and she shrugged much like she did before. "Whatever.." She lifted her axe again and planned out her start as she moved quick forward, but not getting too close and keeping a good distance between Lightning and herself before she swung her axe and spoke: "Memory of Earth." The axe slammed into the ground and created a shockwave through the ground at Lightning. Her begin was simple and kept a distance. She had enough attacks to go after this without using any 'tricks'.

Lightning got a better look at her opponent when she walked out. Aside from being female, which took her by slight surprise, she was focusing on the main part. The battle. And the tactics that her enemy was going to be using for fighting. The gender was probably the least of her concerns. But it had not been what she had been expecting, to see anothe female in this tournament. Either way it was always interesting to meet a fellow female fighter. Most believed that fighting in a battle was something dominated by men, which it predominately was. Lightning had learned that during her time as a soldier for the Holy Government. She had been one of the few female soldiers in the league. That had been some time ago. Back when she was still serving and supporting the government. Those days were long gone for her now. She was part of the resistance now. The dawn of a new era for her. Would that also mean the awakening of a new Lightning? She wasn't too sure about that part. Either, way things were going to be interesting back on Pulse. And these battles were going to help her gain strength.
Lightning watched the weapon that her enemy was carrying. A large ax. She was slightly intrigued by this. She had never seen someone fight with such a weapon. It looked heavy on the top end, which meant that navigation of it might be hard. At least thats what she would imagine. She had never fought with such a weapon before. Lightning had managed to master her gunsword, the Blaze Edge. She had been training with that sole weapon for sometime now, so she was quite quick when it came to switching it from the sword form, to the gun mode. Which meant that she could be skilled in both short range and long range attacks. A skill that she was lucky to have. She wondered if this girl would be more interested in short or long range attack. Lightning would be ready for either of them.
She watched as the girl responded to her question, not showing the slightest bit of care for what was going on. It almost felt like this girl was bored with her already. And the battle hand't even started yet. Lightning actually grew a bit angry on the inside from this simple reaction. The girl that she was fighting didn't seem to show any interest or dedication to this fight at all. Lightning was very dedicated to it, but she just didn't show it. Her seriousness might be a way of expressing it, but it wasn't uncommon for Lightning to always have that serious aura around her. It was more uncommon for her not to be serious. Or just show any sort of emotion for that matter. She worked hard on isolating them for so long. Emotions just showed signs of weakness in her eyes. Which is why she kept thast neutral expression on her face after her opponent spoke like that. Her emotions remained bottled up inside of her.
Lightning watched as she started coming toward her, making her assume that it was going to be a close range attack. But then she just stopped and slammed the ax on the ground. Lightning wasn't too sure what had just happened here, until she felt the reaction coming her way. She felt the shockwave coming right toward her. Part of it caught her, but thinking quick as usual, she activated gravity bomb on her finger. Gravity Bomb enabled Lightning to perform her gravity-defying abilities, that she could do before. She snapped her fingers, the small blue shock coming from it, spreading to her body. With that. She jumped backward into the air, performing a backflip sort of motion. While in the air, she aimed the Blaze Edge at her opponent, and she aimed two bullets from it at her. If she was closer, she wouild have tried to come down on her in the sword motion. But the distance between them was just too great. She would have to try and get closer to her as the battle progressed.
