Port Royal; a land where pirates rule and the sea holds the power. The docks are full of ships, and people are bustling around. Navy soldiers are walking the town in patrol. On the shore of Port Royal a strange portal appears, as if connecting to somewhere outside the world. A strange figure clad in armor and riding a key-looking board flies out, the portal closing soon after. The armor disappears, leaving a young boy that looks to be around the age of 15. He held a strange blade in his hand, held backwards unlike most people.
The keyblade disappears in a quick flash of light as the boy begins walking along the beach. The sea breeze carries the smell of the ocean around the town; an adventurous scent that give a longing to sail the open waters. Ventus takes in a deep breath to take in the smell. “A familiar smell; kind of reminds me of the smell at Destiny Islands.” He then takes curious notice of the ships that are docked. He walks over quietly, examining them in wonder. He had never seen such large ships before, and wondered what such a large ship was used for.
Walking up cautiously onto the ship, he noticed that the ship didn’t look that extravagant. It was made out of common wood, and looked rather simplistic. “Guess people aren’t as creative here as in other places.” As he walked back down, he thought of the peacefulness of this world. In other places he’s been to, including his recent encounter with Master Xehanort. As his mind slipped into thought, he took a wrong step and fell into the water.

Vanille trotted across the wooden squeaky floorboards as the ocean mist gently lapped at the skin of her legs. It was so refreshing to be able to walk near the water again. Really in general, Vanille enjoyed the beach and ocean. It often reminded her of Gran Pulse and better days. How she wished Oerba wasn't so desolate now. It truly was sad. This fleeting moment of sadness on her face was quickly replaced with a bright smile as she glanced at the sun's reflection against the water. Clasping her hands together, Vanille jumped off the dock and on to the sandy shore line. There was more than just the water and beach to attract the young girl's attention. The docking ships were something to marvel at as well.
Almost coming to a stop as the auburn girl turned her head to watch them, she nearly tripped on her own two feet. "Woooaah!" She caught herself luckily thanks to the soft sand before falling over, although it probably wouldn't have hurt that much. Some sound in the face was about the most she would have had to endure if said event happened. Glancing around with her crystal eyes, Vanille caught sight of an individual and a somewhat familiar one at that.
With a bright smile on her face, Vanille rushed down the sandy beach towards where the boy was. He was already making his way on to a ship whether to investigate or become a stowaway. It wasn't long before the ship lost his interest and he turned around. Vanille stopped her rush over as she watched the boy tumble into the water. Giggling to herself a little before looking around, Vanille searched for something to help the boy back with. It wasn't long before the Oerba found a stray wooden plank in which she quickly took grasp of and placed it in the water near the boy. Hopefully he knew how to swim, but just in case, she would be better safe than sorry right.
"Hi ya there! I remember you he he!" Vanille let another giggle out as she couldn't help but laugh at the boy's antics and slight misfortune. Oh it certainly brightened her day to watch that, although had it been her she would've probably laughed at herself to. Maybe if Fang was around it would have been funnier. Perhaps next time she'd push Fang into the water and see what happened. It was all in good fun though. Fun was something a lot of people never seemed to have time for. They always let work and other problems plague their mind. Sometimes it was good to just get your mind off the serious stuff.

Ventus, who had not been paying attention to anything, was now in panic over falling in the water. He quickly made his way back up to the surface, popping up like a buoy. Just then, there was a board in front of him, which he quickly grabbed onto for safety. As he looked around, he noticed the auburn haired girl with rural-like clothing that he met once before. It was the same person that helped him in the Keyblade Graveyard.
He quickly made his way to shore, lying on the soft, warm sand and looking up at the sky. His eyes then turned to the girl. "Vanille...right? Thank you for your help." Completely soaked from head to toe now, he stood up and looked down. "And this was my good outfit too." He sighed and removed his shirt, twisting it to get the water out.
As he tried to get some of the water out of his shirt, he looked at Vanille. "So what are you doing here? I didn't expect to see you again so soon. Though I'm glad to see someone I know ^^." His mind then drifted off into thoughts of Aqua and Terra for a brief moment, an empty feeling coming over him for a brief moment.
He then went back to concentrating on now. Vanille seemed overly happy alot, which puzzled him greatly. How could she always keep a happy sense inside like that? "Why are you always so happy Vanille? Not that I have anything wrong with it. I'm just being curious is all." It was hard for him to stay happy after what happened at the Keyblade Graveyard, and knowing that his friends are missing after all.

How long had it been had he stepped upon this world of high seas and distant treasures?
The young keyblade master walked down from the Rampart to the Harbor, looking about him with azure blue eyes at the calm that seemed to have befallen this place, and he breathed in the fresh ocean air in comfort. The waters lapping at the grassy coastline were still small and barely at high tide, the area tidy of any litter that usually lay about the docks, nets and buoys thrown into the far corners closest to the docks. Beyond the wooden pier that stretched out as far as the eye could see towards an even farther horizon large ships were docked up and down on either side, but Sora saw no sign of the Black Pearl that belonged to the Captain. He wondered where Captain Jack, Elizabeth and Will were now, and what adventures they had gotten up to, now Jack had his ship back and free of the cursed Aztec gold? The happy memories of their time together made him miss the Port Royal trio, looking out onto the stormy grey ocean, and noticing the slight change in the coastline.
Since when did the harbor have a beach, like his own?
The only people in sight, from this distance, were a tall girl with auburn hair and a shorter male his age with blond hair. Sora almost mistook them for Port Royal residents, but as he looked closer, he noticed that they were... well... a lot different to this world as much as he was. The spiky brown-haired boy had been searching the world for a number of things... the one who was most important and special to him who was in danger, ways to help out his friends he had made in each world, and something special King Mickey had hinted at in his letter. He had not found what he was looking for in either case, and not coming across anything which would help him, the Keyblade Master felt there was little hope for both his heavy heart and the people connected to it. A exhausted sigh passed his lips, but when he had given the pair a younger glance, he felt he had found someone important that would be able to help him.
He had to make sure he was talking to the right people first... he had not forgotten those words long ago to never completely trust a pirate.
His hands empty of his keyblade, but ready to summon it if need be, he ventured forward to inspect the two. The young woman on closer inspection had her hair up in ponytails, and had strange clothing he had never seen anyone wear, but they weren't the clothes of a pirate. The other male was the one that took his interest... he could sense his presence before he had even recognized that familiar blond, spiky hair like his own, but shorter in length. And yet, it wasn't the same connection he had with his Nobody he sensed, it was different. Like how it was different between feeling Kairi, and feeling Naminé close by, but all at the same time it felt... familiar, warm and nostalgic. Why was that so, when this boy he recognized from the Olympus Coliseum was so fundamentally different to his Other, and yet wore strange clothing that was unlike the Key of Destiny?
He cautiously edged forward holding back bursting out in joy with baited breath, his voice hesitant and confused, breaking the conversation between the two.
"...Roxas?"

Emerald eyes observed the panicked boy before he finally latched on to the board. Well now, it looks like she was right in lending a helping hand after all. Helping him over to the shore, Vanille laid the board down after the boy was on solid footing. Yup that was him from before. She simply smiled and leaned in towards his face again with that ever bright smile on her face. "Yup thats me! Don't forget it now will ya Vent." She was glad to see a familiar face once again, however she still wished Fang was around. Poor Vanille missed her like a lost puppy, but none the less, she would continue searching. One day she'd find the other Oerba again.
Watching as he tried to dry off, Vanille danced back and forth from one foot to the other. He was kind of funny, maybe a little oblivious to sometimes. Despite these small short comings, he was a very kind individual and certainly someone Vanille didn't mind to run into. It wasn't long before the boy questioned why she was there. Really, Vanille had no idea why either. She simply stopped dancing back and forth and simply shrugged her shoulders cheerfully. "Uhhhh, I really don't know." She giggled for a moment before continuing. "Oh well, when I think about it, I'm still looking for someone. You're still looking for someone to huh?" Emerald eyes peered through a few stray auburn bangs while the boy seemed to get lost in his own thoughts.
The next few words were something she heard quite a lot. She smiled brightly before giving out her answer. "Weeeelll you know, you can't go through life with a glum look on your face all the time. Sometimes you just need to take your mind off all the serious things." She tilted her head with that smile from before. She needed to cheer up the boy. He seemed so glum and depressed. That was soooo not good. Maybe they should go to a carnival or parade. Well maybe she could at least do one thing for him right now. Kneeling down on the soft sand, Vanille placed her hands on his shoulders before embracing him in a light hug.
His clothes were still soaked, but she didn't care, he needed to be cheered up. Ears perking up, another voice broke the silence. Vanille nearly jumped out of her skin out of a little shock before pulling away from the boy and turning around. Her eyes focused on the boy before her a moment before glancing back to Vent. Glancing back to the newcomer, Vanille blinked her eyes. "Oh..uh...I think you may have the wrong person."

He remained sitting in the sand, as he let the sun beat down on him to dry him off. He listened to her speak a bit, and strangely enough it soothed him quite dramatically. Maybe it was because of her gentle and happy nature, or maybe just because it was someone peaceful to talk to. Either way, he was glad to have Vanille around, and he felt relieved for once. As she said to not forget her, he couldn't help but laugh a little. "How could I forget a friend? The bonds you have with your friends are important, and they keep you connected always. Besides, I would never even think of forgetting such a wonderful person."
He listened to her answer his question of why she was here, which he could relate to quite well. Going from world to world searching for a friend. Guess he wasn't the only one out in the universe with a similar goal in mind. "So you're looking for someone too? Best way to find someone is to believe in them and continue searching. As for me, I saw Aqua and Terra last in that place we were at before, so I thought I could find some clues to where they were there."
She then stated that sometimes you need to take your mind off some of the serious matters so you can be happy. That did make sense, though with Master Xehanort on the loose and his friends nowhere to be found, it was hard to. Still, she had a point, so he would do his best to smile and be happy more often like here. Just then, she hugged him out of nowhere. This caused his face to turn red like a setting sun. W-w-what's this for?" he was not expecting her to do such a thing, so he was definitely caught off guard.
Just then, he heard someone call a familiar name. He turned around to see a young boy about his age that looked extremely similar to Vanitas. Because of this, Ventus jumped up and summoned his keyblade in defense. However, this boy didn't feel anything like Vanitas. Instead, he could sense a strong light from him, and a familiar sense about him. Like he knew this guy before and was connected to him somehow. He dismissed his keyblade and relaxed, then started talking to the guy. "I'm Ventus; nice to meet you. I think you have me confused with someone else though.......Hey, I think we met somewhere else before haven't we?"

A strong connection was felt in his heart.
The keyblade master looked upon the two, his usual cheerful smile gone from his face, lost in distant thought. The young woman had said he had the wrong person... well, that seemed entirely obvious to him now, but at the same time it was weird how this guy his age and Roxas looked so... alike. How could that be, and if there was somebody that looked like him, what could this mean? Sora drew in a breath, his mind weary and confused as his sky-blue orbs rolled downwards, but his mind couldn't think of anything that would make sense. Maybe this was fate he had come across this guy which looked so much like his blond Nobody, and felt similar and different all at the same time, that it was part of the missing piece in the puzzle that was his journey.
He felt a strong connection to him...but at the same time he was a complete stranger... had he met him before he had fallen asleep, and forgotten?
Before he could even ask, the body had summoned a keyblade, and Sora's eyes widened in surprise at this reaction. In his own for his defense, he had already jumped backwards and summoned his Kingdom Key to his hands, ready to protect himself against the Roxas look-alike. But as quickly as the odd one-handed, reverse-wielded keyblade had been summoned, it had been called away again, Sora loosing the intense stare he had to meet the other boy. He blinked in confusion, and relaxed his battle posture, the Kingdom Key disappearing in a flash of light from his hands as well. The boy didn't offer any explanation of his bizarre behavior, and said it was nice to meet him contrary to the conflicting way he had first greeted him with his keyblade, and spoke his name.
Ventus... is that name supposed to mean something to me?
The guy also confirmed he must have mistaken him for someone else, and Sora looked at him in bewilderment as he asked if he knew him from somewhere, not knowing how to even reply to such a question when he didn't know the answer himself. "Uh.. okay? Beats me. I don't remember ever having met you before... but... you look a lot like... someone I know." he replied, looking over Ventus's features, which made him almost feel odd that he was talking to his Nobody again. How was he supposed to explain to people he hadn't met before, of how one of them looked like his Nobody, and everything that was tied to it? The keyblade master exhaled in a sigh, wishing things were not so complicated, that they could be more simpler and understanding. But they weren't, after all he had been through, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
This guy felt extremely important to him... but he didn't know why... why did he get the feeling he was forgetting something... or someone?
He suddenly remembered he forgot to introduce himself, and looked to the young girl with Ventus.
"My name's Sora. What's yours?"

Vanille found it funny how the boy was taken back by the hug she gave him. It was probably something he didn't get to often from a complete and utter stranger. Being a stranger was so lonely, why not just make friends with everyone? It made everything so much easier. Of course not everyone could be friends, but what could you do? Just place a smile on your face and deal with it. Thats what Vanille did at least. She didn't really make enemies too much. It was rare for her to really hate or dislike someone. In fact, she really couldn't and the most she had ever gotten into was small squabbles with Fang. She could never stay mad at Fang for too long though ever. She always was the first one to break down and apologize even if it only took her ten seconds to feel the need to.
Blinking her sea foam colored eyes, Vanille couldn't shake the similarities between the two boys with her at the moment. Her pig tails fluttered to a calm as she stopped twirling her head to look from one to the other. Although she quite clearly knew they were different people, the two seemed as if they were long lost family given their appearances. Vent introduced himself to the newcomer, although not in an exactly...well friendly way at first. The tension died down before Vanille even had a chance to move in between the two and try to stop a quarrel.
Somehow the two who didn't know each other kind of did. They of course reminded each other of someone. Vanille let out a gentle sigh for a moment before the new boy introduced himself. With a bright smile, Vanille picked herself up and pranced around the boy. Dancing around him before stopping abruptly in front of him, Vanille waved a hand in front of his face. "And I'm Oerba Dia Vanille! But you can just call me Vanille." Her voice was as cheerful and happy as ever. Placing a finger on her chin as if in thought, Vanille paused for a moment. "Hmmm." It wasn't long before Vanille found what was trying to come to mind. How could she have forgotten so easily? Ah yes that was it.
"We're looking for our friends, are you by chance doing the same?" Vanille wrapped her hands behind her back as she swayed her body back and forth playfully. Her fur skirt flowed with her as those auburn bangs and pigtails swayed in motion as well. It was awfully good to run into people finally. Maybe these two knew a bit more than she did about all the worlds. After all, Vanille couldn't tell up from down really right now. It was all so confusing. Her mind flew back to thinking of Fang. Oh how she wished the other Oerba was there.

Ventus took a sigh of relief as he came back to his senses. After the events in the Keyblade Graveyard, he had been a little on edge. The young boy that showed up was clearly different from Vanitas, except in appearance. "Hey, um look; I'm sorry for getting defensive Sora. You reminded me of someone I know. Sorry for the mistake."
He then turned and looked Vanille as she spoke. She gave a cheery greeting to Sora then asked if he was looking for friends too. A couple of questions popped into his head at this. Who was he looking for? Was it someone he may know? Could he know where Aqua and Terra are? These questions swam through his head like fish in the sea. The more he thought about it, the more he wanted to ask questions.
"So Sora; you said I looked like someone you knew. Who might I look like? Maybe I know the person." Ventus seemed a little more relaxed and happy since there was a familiar feeling about Sora. "Also, would you happen to know anyone by the name the name of Aqua or Terra?" Ventus then looked out into the ocean, thinking a bit about all that has happened.

There went the awkwardness!
Vanille's way of greeting him suddenly broke the tension, as she danced in a circle around him, making Sora laugh sheepishly out loud. "Well you don't see that everyday. Nice to meet you,Vanille!" he commented cheerfully, and smiled that usual smile of his whenever he was happy around a girl. The smile faded quickly, however, of who the auburn-haired girl reminded him of, and only further of her as she asked him about the friends they were all looking for. He was surprised other people were looking for friends, his blue orbs blinking slightly, before he put his arm up against his shoulder so his hand was touching his head and his other hand touching his elbow in a thinking gesture. There was the people he was looking for... but he couldn't describe them to these two when he didn't even know what they looked like or even their names, so he decided to start off with the most important person to him he knew needed his help the most.
"Well, there is one person... she's kinda this tall, has dark red, long hair, and pretty blue eyes..." he described, using a hand to show her height, and left out what clothes she normally like to wear in case she had changed clothes.
The Roxas look-alike... he couldn't even begin to start getting over this fact... named Ventus apologized for what he did, only making the Keyblade Master blink again in feeling startled. "Someone that looked like... me?"But... Roxas was the only one he knew that looked like him, and in fact, Ventus even looked a lot like him. Why would he attack someone that looked like him, or ... himself? The Keyblade Master kept a hand on his forehead, clutching his temple in confusion, trying to figure out what all this meant, as Ventus had just been about to attack him as well. If he had done the same to Roxas out of confusion, that would have to be the explanation. "Yeah... he looks a lot like you. In fact, if you looked at your reflection in the water, he would look exactly like what he looks like. Just like how you... look a lot like me. This is weird, but... the person you look like is... a friend of mine. A close friend." Was all he could think of to answer. He didn't think that Roxas would be the type to give out his name unless he made friends, so his name wouldn't be helpful... and how could he tell the pair all about the Nobodies, and Organization XIII? He didn't want to drag them into that mess, it was his problem to clear up with his friends, and they would be better off blissfully unaware of them.
How was he supposed to even tell them that Ventus looked like the same boy who was created by his actions?
The blond boy with spiky hair so much like his own asked him again about two names, and Sora listened to them, but didn't recall them. But Sora had met a lot of people throughout his journey that didn't give him their names, or even if that was their true name. "Aqua? Terra? ...Sorry, I don't remember anyone that gave me those names." He said in confusion, and shook his head, the names not ringing a bell as far as he could remember. This was why it was pointless to give Ventus the name of his most special person, and the boy sighed, feeling all of this was confusing and that he'd never get to the bottom of this. He turned to Vanille, who said she had been looking for someone as well initially. "And who are you looking for?"
He may have met the people they were looking for in the past, but there was only so much that was attached to a name.

Vanille continued to sway back and forth as her mind wandered. Right now she wasn't paying too much attention to the conversation. She was just lost in her own thoughts right now. Despite being lost in her own thoughts, she still appeared with that happy smile and cheerful disposition that everyone who met her was accustom to. Being at the port was refreshing and Vanille never got bored of the smell of the sea or soft sand. It was something she could call home even if she wasn't really at home. Maybe one day that home could be rebuilt. Maybe there could be families living there again.Just maybe Fang and Vanille could go back and live there. Just...maybe.
Blinking her emerald eyes, Vanille snapped out of her state of thoughts and day dreams. Her eyes rested on that of the spiky brown haired boy who had stumbled upon them. She could already see a small smile creeping over the boy's face at her cheerful attitude. Like the other boy, he seemed kind of surprised to at the bubbly disposition, but none the less seemed a bit more accepting. Well at least he seemed to be a bit more...'comfortable' with it. Vanille went back to swaying back and forth while Sora and Ventus exchanged words. Her head twirled with auburn locks fluttering back and forth as she looked at the two. For a moment she almost got the two boys mixed up since they looked so similar. They could be twins after all!
Sora's description of his friend had all of a sudden hit her like a wild Chocobo running from a King Behemoth. Vanille's eyes lit up immediately as she jumped up and down repeatedly in excitement. "Oooo ooo! I've seen her before I think!" Vanille clasped her hands together happily as she let a grin spread across her face. Dancing over to Vent in quick fashion, the now hyper girl pointed to him a few times before clasping her hands back together. "Ooo and Vent was there to. Taking a deep breath, Vanille calmed down a little.
Nodding to Sora, Vanille continued with her excited voice. "And....and there was this really dark guy who was spouting a bunch of nonsense." Folding her arms across her chest, Vanille nodded once again reassuring herself of the image of that dark man. Yeah, she didn't want to see him in a dark place ever again. Maybe she'd bring more friends next time. He did have an odd chill to him...yeah...something very odd.

As he looked out into the ocean, his thoughts became a blur. A daydream state where everything was blocked out for the moment. Ventus snapped back in as Sora spoke once more, forgetting about what he was thinking about. He listened as Sora described the friend he was looking for. It sounded exactly like the girl from the Keyblade Graveyard that he had met. Then the question of whether or not it was the same person popped into Ventus's head. So many connected people in such a short amount of time. Could it be more than just coincidence? Questions swam through Ventus's head at the description.
He was about to say something about the girl he described, but Vanille got to it first. She was jumping around like an energetic child that was sugared up. "Yea, you're right Vanille. I think her name was Kairi." He looked at Sora who was now talking about the person Ventus mantioned that looked like him, and the person that looked like Ventus himself. Everything was getting complicated as Sora spoke. How could so many people look exactly alike? It made no sense. Wasn't everyone supposed to look different from eachother.
"The person that looks like you is named Vanitas. Though his outfit is different. Also, his eyes are yellow and his hair is black. Other than that, the resemblance is almost exact." Then Ventus began to think of the person that Sora said looked exactly like him. He was very curious about this person, since he was confused for him once before.
"The Kairi-girl confused me for someone too. Wonder if it's the same person. I would like to meet this person that looks like me. You know, to see what he's like. Now that you mention it, we do look alike. How can that be?" Ventus had a peculiar question pop into his head. If this look-alike looked like him, did he act and behave the same as well? He now was really anxious to meet this person to hopefully understand more about him.
Sora said that he didn't know Aqua and Terra. This was a little disappointing, since it meant he had no leads to go on. "Well, Terra is about yay high, brown hair, carries a large keyblade. Aqua is a bit shorter dresses in bluish clothes with blue hair. She also carries a keyblade. If you see them, could you let them know I'm looking for them?" He described his friends the best he could before Vanille spoke up about Master Xehanort. He tensed up as she mentioned him.
"The person she's talking about is Master Xehanort. He gave us a bit of trouble earlier, but we managed to survive. He's an old man with a dark keyblade. If you see him, be careful." Ventus's thoughts slowly drifted back to the person that looks like him. He just couldn't shake the thought of someone an exact look-alike. "So who is this person that looks like me?"

His heart had skipped a beat at the mere mention of her.
The azure eyes of the Keyblade Master widened as the auburn-haired girl mentioned seeing someone like her before, his breath hitching, his body heaving involuntarily as he struggled to remain in place. He resisted the urge to run off before he had gotten information first, listening to Vanille as she mentioned Ventus was there at the time, as well as a 'really dark guy'. Sora was familiar with users of darkness sprouting nonsense, but sighed in relief, glad that Kairi had not been alone when facing whoever it may have been. At Ventus confirming that it was in fact Kairi, Sora clenched his fists, a sense of longing and concern over-riding his body as his heart beat frantically for the well-being of the person who was most important to him. "You guys found Kairi? Where was she when you found her?" he asked immediately, hanging on their every word.
It was because of this that he heard Ventus name someone called 'Vanitas' that was the person that looked like him, and Sora didn't think he had even seen anyone before that matched his own description, except for the dark mirror that was the Anti-Sora Heartless he had destroyed back in Neverland all those years ago. He nodded, however more concerned at the time about hearing about Kairi, taking this information and burying it in the back of his mind for another time when it would be important. "I have no idea." he answered Ventus's question, about how it could be there were others that looked like them, his thoughts wandering elsewhere.
Vanille hadn't answered his question about who she was looking for, and if she didn't wish to tell him, then it was none of her business. He did, however, have some answers for Ventus, and immediately knew who he was talking about when he mentioned the description of Terra and Aqua. "Oh, I remember them, but I don't think they ever gave their names! Terra helped me out the last time I saw him in my islands. And last time I saw a girl like Aqua she was recovering in Radiant Garden in Merlin's House, after I saved her." he instantly replied, glad he could be of some help, but he was still worried about his Light. He nodded, though, and smiled at Ventus. "If you promise me if you see Kairi again, or Riku, or the King, then I will."
The next words out of the Roxas look-alike's mouth was an information overload, and Sora's breath froze, his heart stopping once more at the memory of another name that had a whole different meaning to that of his special sweetheart. "Xehanort!? Don't worry, I've met him before, but... he has a keyblade now!? How can that be, when he's a Heartless!? Wait... Xehanort's Heartless, was he wearing a black cloak? It might have been Riku!" he gasped, wondering if this meant that Riku's powers of darkness as Xehanort's Heartless had returned, and felt worried for his friend. But he shook his head of these thoughts, answering the last of Ventus's many questions which were overwhelming him and confusing him. "Don't ask me any more questions... I'm lost enough as it is! My friend that looks like you, he's with a crowd that could mean trouble for us, so please... don't go looking for him. None of this matters now, Kairi's in danger, where did you last see her and Xehanort!?" he asked desperately, his voice wavering in unbridled emotion, looking between these two new friends who had assisted her now to give him the same opportunity.
Before it was too late.

Taking a deep breath with more oxygen filtering through her system, Vanille felt the somewhat dizzy feeling leave her body. Boy she could get worked up sometimes talking, although she didn't mind it. It was really funny sometimes to watch people's reactions to her hyper spurts at times. Of course these two boys seemed to take it rather fine unlike most who began to stray away. Hopping back and forth from one foot to the other, Vanille watched as Sora's eyes lit up at hearing of his friend. Keeping silent now to let the boy take everything in, Vanille simply listened to the two exchange words. She watched back and forth like as the two exchanged words and questions about friends and people that seemed to resemble each other. It was all really confusing for Vanille as she tried to keep all the facts straight.
To be honest, she still had a bit of a problem telling these two apart, but she figured it would just take time to identify them more easily. Emerald eyes flickered over to watch the glittering sea. The two boy's words continue to flip back and forth. Vanille simply kept her gaze transfixed on the sea outwards as she took a few steps towards it. The slow moving waves, the soft sound of the ocean lapping against the shore. The sound of the two boys soon seemed to simply fade away as her other senses took in the port once again.
Her memories reached back to that of Oerba. She remembered it like it was yesterday. Walking out on the concrete dock. Glancing out on the ocean like she had now. It was her first day in Oerba. The air was chilly as well as the crisp cold water that splashed up against her skin every so often. It was lonely until a voice broke the chill silence. It was a voice she learned to know all too well. Even now as she stared out to the horizon, Vanille heard that voice again. Was it really her? The voice called out again, this time a bit louder. Yes, it had to be her! "Fang!" No sooner had Vanille called out, the voice faded away. The voices of the two boys came back to her ears.
Blinking her eyes, Vanille quickly focused back on the two boys again. She had drifted off into a bit of a day dream. It was strange, but Vanille didn't even realize she had done it for a second. Emerald eyes blinked to look at Sora and Ventus. "Oh...s...sorry." Her voice faltered slightly from her normally cheerful attitude. Her small frown was quickly replaced with a bright disposition again, however it was not as bright as it had been only moments ago. She tried to speak to answer Sora's question and luckily she found her voice. "Oh...we were at some dark and dank place. There were a bunch of weapons like what you two had. They're really heavy ya know! I could hardly pick one up." A small shaky laugh was let loose from her voice as Vanille tried to keep up a happy disposition.

The name Kairi that Ventus mentioned seemed to hit a spark. Sora jumped and starting asking questions about her. Also, basing on his actions, she seemed to be rather close to him. Ventus recalled the feelings he had towards his best friends. He would probably act the same if he heard anything about their locations. " Well, I went to the Keyblade Graveyard looking for clues to where my friends were. Vanille showed up, then Master Xehanort, then her. I don't know where she is now though." After the events there, they had each departed and went different ways.
Then it happened. Terra and Aqua had been seen, just weren't recognized by name. Terra had been seen on some islands, and Aqua was back in Radiant Garden. The overwhelming shock that they were still alive, and he had an idea of where they were astounded him. His mind wandered from the conversation for a moment as he thought about Terra and Aqua. He quickly snapped back though at Sora's next comment. "Don't worry; I'll make sure to let them know."
Sora seemed to know Master Xehanort at first, but then he seemed to be getting him confused with another person. Then the mention of heartless. He had heard about them briefly, but still didn't know much on them yet. "Um, Master Xehanort has always wielded a keyblade. He is a Keyblade Master after all. He looks like a really old man, pointy ears and yellow eyes." He described Xehanort's outfit the best he could to Sora to give him a better idea. "Me, Terra, and Aqua fought him once before, though I don't know how the battle ended. Just waking up in a strange all white castle."
Ventus then turned to Vanille who mentioned the keyblade she tried to pick up. "They are known as keyblades. Special weapons that those with strong hearts can wield. The field of them that you saw are what is left of the Masters that fought a long time ago. Though only a handful of Wielders are left."
