(OOC: This is a sidequest approved for Felix. It is open for the first 3 people after Felix to join. Anyone who joins after that will not be awarded for participation.)
It was true, some time ago, the Keyblade Master Sora had defeated a great number of Heartless in this world to save the castle town, and the people who dwelled in the great city of light. But down in the Dark Depths of the blue rocky canyon, in between the great maw that stretched between it and the Villain's Vale on the other side of the world, a great number of Heartless still existed. Handfuls of them invaded the town each day, but the majority congregated with the darkness of a small isolated cave off the beaten path, out of the light of the sun within the cold darkness. Parts of the cave went so deep and dark, only beedy eyes of the Heartless were the only warning sign to any who dare tread within it. Here the Heartless thrived, and continued to gather numbers and strength - perhaps the very same place where the armies of thousands, perhaps millions of Heartless that invaded Hollow Bastion originated from.
Outside, at the entrance of the cave, a few Heartless materialized from their own portals from the Corridors to Darkness. A regiment of Solider Heartless, who had just materialized from their day's work of harvesting hearts from the nearby town, and from other worlds within their reach. With only their clanking of their armored helmets that could be heard, they lumbered mindlessly back to the cavern. And one of them, clutched within it's tiny red claws, was holding an item of certain value. It was a necklace, a rather ordinate one, that which looked like it belonged to a girl of a young age.
It wasn't unusual for Heartless to take inanimate objects instead of hearts... a while ago they had also stolen a magical book, and scattered it's pages across worlds so they could lure hearts to it. The capture of this necklace was no different... sensing the connection a certain heart had to this object and freed from the grasp of it's owner, they would lie in wait for her to come collect it, her heart then stolen and returning to darkness. Another heart, perhaps another Heartless, to help their kind reach the greatest heart of all... the heart of the world. It lay out of their grasp, but once they had enough numbers and strength, they would continue to strike again until the heart was theirs. Another fragment of the world to add to their homeworld, and the power to reach the heart of all hearts, where a great number of them were waiting to escape into this realm of Light. Until then, the Solider Heartless descended into the very bowels of the cave, where they would lie in the darkness, waiting to come out and seize the heart of their victims.

There the freelancer stood, his feet stopping before they ventured into the cavern that lie ahead of him as he contemplated what he was getting himself into. While he wasn't the type that could sense the presence of "hearts" or any of that jargon, his gut did give him a bad feeling about this cave. It was almost as if he was suffocating, the negativity that seemed to stagnant in the cave reaching him even from just the entrance. If it was this bad just on the outside staring in, there was no telling how dreadful it would be inside. Not only that, but he had heard the stories of how a warrior of light had taken down many of the Heartless that used to inhabit the Dark Depths. As it would seem though, not all had been vanquished by that hero. Indeed, perhaps the survivors had managed to scurry off into this cave and had managed to avoid that fate. There was also the possibility that this cave was their original breeding grounds, a nice cozy spot that seemed like it would be ignored by any passerby.
"And I'm about to go into this headfirst huh?" he asked himself as he begun to rotate his right shoulder. While the hot-blooded redhead loved to fight, even this was a bit too extreme for even his liking. He had been in a few life or death situations before but the difference between those and the one currently facing him was... he thought he could pull through. Countless scenarios ran through his head as to what lay beyond that entrance, none of them ending well for the freelancer. Never before had he faced the threat of what could possibly be an army of Heartless, having only had the pleasure of dealing with limited numbers. The second he entered that cave though, he'd be entering their domain where a bountiful amount surely resided and that would no doubt be infuriated with his arrival.
"I am on a job though right?" he asked himself again, trying to reassure himself. It was only moments before that the man had happened upon this place, a small girl having been attacked by a few Soldier Heartless. He had saved the day but not before one of the Soldier's had managed to run off with something shiny, something rather valuable to the victim of their attack. That small girl had told him her story, a bully throwing her keepsake into the Dark Depths. When she had attempted to recover it, the Heartless had attacked their intent obviously being her heart. It was disheartening to hear such a story but the redhead was no fool and wouldn't sacrifice himself for such a thing. At least that's what he had thought until the girl had spoke just the right words.
"I've heard about you before, you're that #1 freelancer for hire, Felix Maximilian right? Could you get me back my necklace? My mother gave it to me before she passed away and I really cherish it. However many of my allowances of mine you want you can have just please get it back!" she had screamed, deafening the man but surely getting across her point. He had patted her head gently, crouching to her level as he gave a toothy grin, a wink, and a good ole thumbs up.
"Don't worry I'll get it back in a jiffy! The #1 freelancer Felix Maximilian is on the case and will never have his 100% success rate tarnished!" he had proclaimed but now that he was about to do the act... he was getting a bit nervous. He gritted his teeth as he slapped his cheeks, shaking his head slightly. Why was he getting the jitters? He was the #1 Freelancer of all time and a cavern full of Heartless wasn't going to stop him! He smirked lightly as he walked forward, his feet finally having stepped inside the cave as his entire body tensed, getting over his jitters and ready for whatever came next.
"Hope you guys have enjoyed your stay but now it's time for your eviction notice courtesy of the #1 freelancer Felix Maximilian!" he shouted, surely echoing down and getting the attention of the Heartless deep within. Why go to them if he could get them to come to him?

Another Heartless disappeared in a puff of black smoke. Terra wasn’t expecting more of the shadow creatures here, in Radiant Garden, when he decided to check out the home of the apparent resistance against the Heartless. Terra meant it as a resistance, mostly because it appeared that, in most of the recent worlds he had been visiting, the Heartless outnumbered the rest of the population by at least two to one. This place seemed different. It seemed as if the Somebodies, like himself, had the strongest numbers he had felt yet. However, his senses weren’t as adept as his Master’s, but he could tell the Light within this world was indeed strong.
As the final Shadow disappeared Terra looked around, surprised that he definitely didn’t recognize this world. True, the last time he’d been here had been over ten years ago, but he was sure he didn’t remember a blue wasteland the last time he was here, much less the appearance of a second castle with a red heart-like symbol placed on the tallest tower. He was overlooking the large castle on top a cliff on what appeared to be a mountain path.
The shadow creatures seemed to be coming up the mountain from the twisted-looking castle. Terra looked behind him to see several more armored Heartless running down the mountain. Terra almost decided not to chase after them, until he saw one of them carrying a small necklace. These creatures were actually stealing from the inhabitants of the world. That was inexcusable! Terra immediately gave chase after the Soldiers, launching himself at a full sprint down the mountain.
After quickly slashing through the occasional loner on his way down the mountain, he watched as the slightly armored shadow creature disappeared into a cave. He finally pressed onward, at a cautious pace, into the mysterious cavern. It wasn’t long after he entered, that he heard a voice from behind him. The voice was completely unfamiliar to him, but he decided that he was probably allied. Terra had never encountered a Heartless that was capable of speech, but he had heard of the Human Heartless so it was possible. He figured it was probably the former and turned towards the entrance, where he noticed a red-haired man call himself the ‘number-one freelancer.’
”Actions speak louder than words, you know. I’m Terra, and you’re here to hunt the shadow creatures?”[/b]

The words echoed continuously within the cave, and the only answer seemed to be the introduction from the Chaser. Nothing else answered or reacted from Felix's own yell, and everything fell as silent as the grave. The inside of the cave was blue rock like the outside of the ravine, hewn with sand-colored brown in places. The light from outside fell on only a small patch of ground just before the entrance, but the rest of the cavern of course fell into a deep darkness, so deep the heroes would need to light some kind of torch to navigate their way through even if it was as clear as day outside. There was a scuttle in the darkness, something less than human moving about, and then... nothing. An eerie setting for an equally eerie cave, which fell into silence as if nothing had been there. Then movement again, and two beady, amber eyes poped open in the darkness. They moved about as the Heartess moved it's head eratically, then slowly, observing the two newcomers. Two antennae twitched as it moved into the light, a small Shadow Heartless, innocently analysing the two. But of course, no heart that had fallen into a body of darkness was completely innocent. This one was only a scout, and it was not alone. The incursion had disturbed the hive. Instantly, one by one, eyes started to open up in the cavern. First one, then two, then five, then ten... and not just around in the darkness on the ground. The glow of the eyes spread like wildfire as they lit up the cavern roof like a Christmas tree, almost as many pairs of eyes as there were stars in the night sky, but much more deadlier. For the moment they had all opened, they started to rain down on the two heroes - there were at least twenty Shadows, and about just as many Hook Bat Heartless. As they fell, they screeched and slashed with wings, claws and hooks, hoping that their massive numbers and element of surprise despite their small number would overwhelm the two hearts they intended to steal. But of course, this was only a taste of what was to come... --- x20 Shadow Heartlessx20 Hook Bat Heartless

OOC: For the sake of something to use to see I'm going to bust out a flashlight. I know I didn't mention it earlier but finding any type of wood to use as a torch seems pretty unlikely in the Dark Depths since I don't recall any shrubbery or what have you in there XD! Plus it seems pretty likely that one would bring a flashlight before heading into a cave if they knew they'd be going into it though I do apologize for not mentioning it earlier, slipped my mind to be honest. If you no likey, I can use a cellphone instead since that's a lot more plausible XD!
”Actions speak louder than words, you know. I’m Terra, and you’re here to hunt the shadow creatures?” were the words that seemed to come immediately after Felix's proclamation, the freelancer raising his right eyebrow. It was quite odd to see that another warrior had already taken a stroll into the cave, brandishing an odd weapon that Felix stole a quick glance at.
'So that's a keyblade huh? Seems like a giant hunk of trashy copper to me,' he commented mentally, not very impressed with the weapon known for it's unfathomable power. Felix was a simplistic man and something like that just seemed heavy and a burden more than anything. A katana on the other hand was a far more practical weapon to use, surely much faster than that over-sized key. Though his thoughts didn't dwell on the impracticality of such a weapon for too long, knowing it'd be rude if he didn't answer the man's question.
"Well it's not that noble of a cause but something like that yeah," he replied, a smirk curving against his lips. He made a quick once over on the man, wondering just how useful he'd be when the fighting started as his thoughts drifted once more. He was a rather tall fellow, probably at the same height as Felix, if not taller and looked nothing like a light hitter. While his agility couldn't really be discerned from just a glance, Felix was going to go off on a limb and say it was probably rather limited but considering where they'd be fighting agility wasn't necessary anyway. Indeed, strength and fortitude were much better traits to have in a cave that didn't have much room to move in the first place. So long as the man could hold his own Felix wasn't against having a partner for this little excursion. In fact he was glad to have someone that he could possibly rely on and could help even the odds, albeit only by a little.
"At any rate our goals seem to coincide so why don't we work together? No point in working alone in a dark cave where a Heartless might just end you when you're not watching your back ne?" he asked as his eyes returned to the path ahead of him. Darkness was all the awaited the two warriors, so dark that exploring it would be impossible without something to use for light. Luckily for the two about to venture forth into this uncharted territory, flashlights were a common thing on Radiant Garden and Felix had brought one along with a few batteries for the trip. His right hand dipped into his pocket as he pulled the flashlight out, about to click it on when suddenly... a light blinked... and another... and several more after it. As it would seem, many restless Heartless were disturbed by the unwanted visitors, a great amount of Heartless illuminated when Felix had finally flipped the switch. Their numbers were at least in the thirties, a figure that Felix couldn't help but grin out... was this it?
"Les go half and half... sound good?" he asked but before waiting for a response he sprinted forward toward the creatures. Without warning, his left foot would pivot as he threw his hip into a low right kick. He wasn't sure how many he had hit with the blow, but the Shadow Heartless beneath him certainly would have their numbers diminished with that mighty blow. More importantly though, the Hook Bats were at head level, attempting to claw right at his face. Unfortunately for them, Felix did like his face being pretty and while throwing out several punches and elbows to take care of them, the damage he received from them and the Shadows beneath being rather negligible due to his superior defense. Regardless, his blows would continue as the light flickered around the cave, hopefully providing ample light for the other man to fight as Felix took care of his half... assuming he even fought in the first place.
'He's probably some self-righteous paragon of justice so I'm sure he's helping... question is... how much?'

The young man had traveled to yet another new world. The young man curious about others. That other place was fun. What was it called again? Twilight something.... was it city? Town? Yeah that made more sense he believed. It was nice, amazing even. Personally he didn't really want to leave. However, there were many other worlds that he was curious about. Which meant many other worlds in which he may find better than the last. Though of course there was the potential that they would probably be even worse than his home world. Though that wasn't something he wanted to think about. He just wanted to be happy for now, and if possible maybe help others in need.
He explored the bit and this place looked just as hightech as the other, though unlike that town he was in this place looked worn, as if there had been some battles in it. Though by the looks of it people seemed to be rebuilding. Though despite it all this place still looked a lot nicer than his own world. Why was it that in every world seemed nicer than his own? Though that was when he notice something. One of those dark creatures he saw in his world. He had no clue what it was called. All he remembered that it meant bad news. He transformed himself into his weakest state of the spirit of light, Night very thankful for the light the sun gave out. He chased after it and struck it down. Were the more here? And just as he thought he saw more seeming to retreat to else where. As if hiding back. Curious he followed.
It wasn't long before he was brought to a cave. Eyes watching the two who entered, though one thing was for sure there was darkness in that cave. Should he help? Well one thing for sure he couldn't just stand by and just wonder if the two would get themselves killed besides one of them he recognized. Though he still didn't know him that well. Hell he could barely recall the name of him. So why not try it. Besides it seemed that was the place these dark creatures were coming from, so if he wanted to help this place it would mean he would be helping this town right?
Once he was in front of the cave Night couldn't even see a few steps in. He sighed, knowing this meant dark spirit time. He concentrated and focused, disbursing his light spirit and now replacing it with his spirit of darkness. Was it just him or was he using this blasted thing way to much?
He was now in the spirit's strongest form walking in, everything as clear as day as he walked easily seeing the creates as they attacked. The red hair male attacking with his bare fist. How interesting, since when he tried that when he first met these creatures that didn't do jack to them. But now was not the time to think about that, "Duck!" he yelled as blade growing with dark energy as he swung the blade to create a wave of energy to destroy what he could of these dark creatures with his dark blade.
Note: Well since I was kicked out of Raid I'll try here hope you guys no mind xD And hopefully I didn't do anything wrong ><; |

((Assuming that I read the rules correctly, here we go.))
Snow had been moving around Radiant Garden, hunting down any Heartless she saw. While the heartless were not abundant inside the town, as she traveled the blue colored paths closer to the twisted castle, she was able to find more of the little beast. While she could not defeat all the creatures on her own, she was able to get a good work out from the ones she found. As her keyblade finished off another Heartless, she watched the Heart float away from her. Even though, she did not know where the freed Heart would go, at least it no longer belonged to the Dark or Light. It was free to go wherever it pleased and that was fine with her.
As Snow relaxed her stance as she stood on a slope, her senses picked up a mixture of energies. Dark, Light, Balance, Heartless.....the mixture was odd, but through it all she sensed someone she knew and also danger. Curious about what was happening, the keyblader followed her senses until she finally found were the energies were coming from. There was a cave up ahead and from the light show she saw within and the sounds of heavy movement, she assumed there was a fight within. As she reached the top and the entrance of the cave, she was able to peek in and see a red head male and another male wielding a keyblade inside along with another using Dark energy. While the fight was entertaining to watch, she was not able to enjoy it for long.
In response to the Dark users energy attack some of the Heartless had come out of the cave and upon seeing her surrounded her. Snow remained calm as three Shadows and two Hook Bats cirlced her. Watching them carefully, she waited for them to make the first move. A shadow jumped at her, but only met the petals of her keyblade as she swung forward to meet it. As soon as one shadow was down, the others attacked in unison--the Hook bats came from the top while the two remaining shadows came at her legs. Dodging a swipe from a Shadow and a claw from the Bat, Snow reached out and grabbed the Hook Bat's tail that was conviently in front of her face. Not giving the creature any time to register what she was about to do, she began swinging the creature around like a whip, aiming to smack any of the others that may attempt to attack her.

It looked as if both Terra and the redhead in front of him weren’t alone. A group of the shadow creatures the bronze keyblader had learned be called Heartless had made themselves known in the entrance to the sapphire colored cave. It didn’t happen all at once, but when the light from the man known as Felix made its way to the innards of the cavern tiny amber-colored lights began shining one after another. They appeared both in the air and close to the ground. It wasn’t until they moved into the light that he was certain Heartless were the cause of the light show.
Felix immediately declared that the two were to split the shadow creatures fifty-fifty, but Terra knew that had to change as another warrior made his way into the cave. He was, most surprisingly, covered with the veil of darkness even though he fought the Heartless. However, who was the weilder of Ends of the Earth to judge? Terra had been constantly fighting the darkness in his own heart, and he still continued to do so, even after he found himself somehow free of Master Xehanort’s influence. If he could hold the darkness yet use the light, then he was sure the man behind him could do the same.
Finally, it seemed as if another chunk of Heartless were going to go towards another warrior. A woman appeared outside the cave and almost immediately attracted attention from the shadow creatures. What happened next definitely caught Eraqus’s pupil off guard. The woman used a keyblade to attack the various Hookbats and Shadows in an attempt to fell them. Terra had heard of keybladers outside of his small clique, but he’d never had the chance to see one with his own eyes. The battle ahead immediately got twice as simple with the appearance of the third and fourth warriors.
Terra couldn’t just leave the battle to everyone else, however. He immediately targeted the remaining Shadows and Hookbats with one of his powerful Shotlocks. Terra began to, one by one, shoot bullets of dark energy at the surrounding Heartless until roughly twenty bullets had left the tip of his Ends of the Earth. Then, he surrounded himself with a small barrier and began to release the bullets two by two until another thirty bullets were fired at the enemies. Terra’s Black Volley would be a huge step in the battle against the lowliest of Heartless.

(OOC: You’re all doing this right and followed the rules, and all the spots in this thread are taken, so you will all get rewards after this. Enjoy!) In a matter of moments, Felix’s punches and kicks took out a dozen of the Heartless, both the Shadows and Hook Bats. The fight looked to be at a unfair advantage at the number of Heartless present, but thanks to the arrival of the two newcomer keybladers, a sharp wave of darkness cut through their ranks and delivered a swift blow to another dozen of the lesser Heartless present from Night. Snow managed to take out the majority of the Hook Bats with hooking one of them on her keyblade similar to Sora’s Bat Cry reaction command, as well as the two Shadows nearby underfoot. Terra’s Dark Volley took care of the rest of the strangler Heartless that were left, as only a few Shadows survived the Shotlock attack and the rest of the assault using their ability to sink into the ground, but popped up again to attack both Night and Terra with sharpened claws. The flux of Shadows being destroyed and the rising Hearts of the Emblem Hook Bats started a chain reaction of the massing Heartless that lay deeper in the cave. Launching from the depths like a sudden wave, the clanking of armor was the only warning before another wave of Heartless attacked. This time Morning Star, Bookmaster, Surveillance Robot and Armored Knight Heartless responded to the presence of the three wielders of the key and the freelancer. Armored Knight Heartless were the majority of his group, marching in a fierce regime to protect their spawning ground, using a lunging sword attack called Tripping Slash on all the people present in the cave. The Surveillance Robot Heartless floated above them, using Charge Laser in unison, shooting multiple red lasers in all directions to eradicate any random target it would hit. Bookmaster Heartless were a lot like Black Mage Heartless, but unlike the smaller Heartless like Rhaspodies, Operas and Nocturnes, they could cast all three elements as well as use their Akashic Record books for close-range attack. Unlike the single-minded robotic synchronicity of the Surveillance Robots, the Bookmasters independently cast their own spells, all of them either casting three fireballs in the shape of Fire, three orbs of ice in the form of Blizzard , or eight bolts of lightinging in the form of Thunder at their targets. The Morning Stars were the heavy-weights of this fight, and had the highest stamina out of all the Heartless present, all of them jumping into the air and using Body Press one at a time to come crashing down on Felix, Terra, Night and Snow. The combination of all these physical and magical attacks soon turned the inside of a cave into a chaotic battlefield, only intensified in threat by the veil of pitch-black; if Felix’s torch became broken, the party would have a very difficult time with this fight. And made even more difficult when, under the torchlight came the glimmer of the object Felix had been looking for – the necklace of his client, held by a Solider in a group of Solider Heartless, who looked at the group before they scurried off deeper into the depths of the cave. -*-*- Round 2 (images for Heartless reference are in clickable links below): x 20 Morning Starx 20 Bookmasterx 20 Surveillance Robotx 40 Armored Knightx 4 Shadow Heartless (survived from round 1)

As Felix had punched the last hook bat that he had decided to take on, two more warriors would appear and rush head first into the cave. The first to arrive seemed odd, Felix having turned his head toward the sound coming from behind. More important than his appearance though was the weird glowing that was building up around his weapon, surely being some type of attack he was about to unleash. This speculation was only confirmed further when he had shouted "DUCK!", Felix listening to the boy as he had little desire to be sliced in two. The blade of energy passed by his back, the hairs on his neck standing up as it had just barely passed by, a smirk curving against the freelancer lips.
'It's a shame fighting him isn't part of my job,' he thought but quickly dismissed it as yet another warrior had arrived, barely noticeable in the distance that separated them as she took out the Heartless that had attacked her. As for the other man that had been pretty late to react, he had used his keyblade to shoot balls of dark energy from the tip for a devastating attack against the Heartless... yet a questionable one.
"Aren't you keyblade warriors supposed to be all about light, friendship, and all that other sappy stuff?" Felix asked pointing a finger toward the two keyblader's general direction. He did not look back at them long though, turning his head back to the front, more concerned about the task at hand. He had a necklace to retrieve for a sad little girl, a sight that he despised seeing and would pay any amount of money to make it vanish (well ALMOST any amount). Indeed, and with that thought in mind he had stepped forward but before he could think of what to do next, another throng of Heartless had emerged. The numbers were staggering, at the very least 20 Heartless to every 1 hero, Felix a little bit curious as to how they had even managed to fit in the cave. Yet like on any job he had taken, Felix was focused and it didn't phase him, the freelancer cracking his knuckles as that smirk he had grew into a grin.
"Is this all you got to offer?! Come on you're boring me!" he shouted as he sprinted toward the mass of Armored Knights, ignoring the other stronger Heartless for the moment. Indeed, he could leave those ones to the others while taking care of the 60 other annoying ones... or at least that's what his plan was. As the Armored Knights got closer, Felix would quickly jump up toward a couple of the Surveillance Robots in the air, both armed and ready to let out their beams of death. Both his arms would stretch themselves in front of him, his jump taking far more of a dive form as his fists would collide with the bottom of the two Surveillance Robots. Because of this oddball attack, the two would be fumbled and spun around a bit, their lasers hitting more ally Heartless than surely intended at first. Not only that but by throwing himself into the "fire" or rather the mass of Armored Knight Heartless, he was relatively safe as he tucked and rolled upon impact with the ground, his left arm stretched out to the side to avoid burning himself with his torch.
" It's time for eviction notice you pricks!" he added to his earlier insult as he picked himself up, quickly unsheathing the blade on his back and holding it in an underhand grip with his right hand. As the Armored Knights gathered around him again, their numbers having been dispersed a little by the red-heads earlier stunt, he would quickly throw out a right handed hook, an attack with a short range... unless one was using a blade. Using his katana for extra reach, Felix's hook had managed to hit a good number of Armored Knights as he ran through the clearing and put his back to one of the cavern's walls. With his back now to the wall, he was in a much better position to fight back and at a much better vantage point... something having caught his eye because of this. Glimmering off the small light his torch provided, the necklace he was sent to find was spotted as he became far more spirited to end the existence of the many Heartless surrounding him and his recently made "comrades" (he could care less what they were after so long as they helped him).
"Get back here you thieves!" he yelled at the Soldier Heartless scurrying away as he started smashing away at the Heartless with both his fists and blade, ignoring the scratches he was incurring from the occasional Tripping Slash attack... money was on the line here. And while he had that thought in mind, his body about to react and use Mass Manipulator to catch up, he knew that catching them wouldn't be that easy,
'I'll take these guys out first and wait for these three,' he thought as his right foot planted itself into another Armored Knight and sent him flying, 'With the way this has been going thus far it wouldn't surprise me if only more Heartless await and I'm sure these guys will help, even if it's only a little. Plus those Soldier Heartless can't get too far before we finish this right?'
OOC: I apologize for it being a bit late, had a lot of poop going on recently so it took me a while to get around to this. At any rate, hope this is good enough for the wait and I hope we enjoy the rest of this danger filled thread ^_^!

The young warrior seemed quite nervous when more creatures appeared. Were they also those heartless things? But... they were so different so they had more than the shape of the small one but how? Why? Though as their numbers piled up he finally brought his concentration back on track. Though the red head's speach kind of distracted him. "Aren't you keyblade warriors supposed to be all about light, friendship, and all that other sappy stuff?" "We are?" was all he could question, so had this person met other keybladers? Though since there were now three of them here he suppose he could always ask one of them. He still had no real clue how this thing worked, it was all so confusing to him. Though if that's how they were suppose to be then was he doing his job as a 'keywielder' wrong? Since he only used his light half the time, and well he didn't really have any friends, though it was too difficult for him to trust anyone. He wanted to but it wasn't easy, not for him. The warrior cried out in slight pain when he was suddenly struck with the sharp claws in his chest. Okay focus on battle focus on battle.
After being struck Night just swung his blade at the shadow to exterminated it. Thankfully his armor was think so the slash didn't hurt much. That was when the sword wielding heartless came at them, Night using his keyblade to block their attacks slashing back at three of them in hopes of getting rid of them for good. after that struck by a few beams from the Surveillance Robots. He growled like a lion before his body was engulfed in darkness for his Nulvoid Velocity attack jumping up toward the robots, until he landed on the cave's side and dashes again at them in hopes of getting rid of most of them at least since he found the little lasers more of a problem than the other attacks right now.
After that he landed back on the ground noticing the fire balls aimed at him, Night focusing as he slashed through the ball of fire that came at him. Primus this was getting hard. He's never fought to many before. It was tiring. But he was't going to quit. He watched as the fat ones the jumped above intending on slamming down on them, Night jumping out of the way for it before he sliced one on the head with a downward slash of his keyblade. He just hoped there was a break after this sea of heartless.

[Gonna try to keep this thing goin, meant to post immediately after the AC, but this damn sickness had me sidelined]
Did it ever end? As soon as Terra's powerful Shotlock came to an end, it seemed as if the Heartless quadrupled in size. Not only were the remaining four Shadows still alive, but they were also greeted by a hundred new Heartless. Clearly, they weren't going to make this easy for the mercenary and the two keybladers. Terra had not failed to take note of the disappearance of the female keyblader that joined their side. He also noticed that the last keyblader to join was in fact the same keyblader that aided both him and Ventus at the Keyblade Graveyard. He'd definitely have to talk to him once this was all over, and thank him for the distraction as well as the much needed aide.
He couldn't help but notice the redhead mocking both his ally and himself for using the darkness. He tried to make it sound okay by noting that they were using it to fight the darkness. In truth, he knew it was wrong to use such a tool, but the darkness was an addiction he hadn't been able to quit yet.
"We are fighting the darkness, these shadows are creatures of made from the darkness in one's heart. They lose sight and become what's in front of you."[/b]
The first thing he notice were the several robotic shadow creatures that came from the innards of the cave. They were immediately followed by powerful, spherical Heartless and then small heartless carrying what looked to be giant books. Finally a legion or armored shadows with large swords came in. If Terra had even thought for one second that they were going to ease up and attack one group at a time, he would have been wrong. Luckily, he was prepared for the onslaught and ducked as the robots began firing lasers in a horizonal fashion towards him and his companions. He managed to jump as soon as he got a free chance and slam the edge of his keyblade into one of the spherical Heartless and send it homerun-style towards a group of incoming Armored Knights.
He wasn't nearly done, as one of the mage Heartless caught his attention by blasting him with a blast of freezing cold air. Clearly, Terra silently thought to himself, he was going to need a lot more speed to combat the threat. Electricity surged throughout his entire nervous system and created a static-like aura around him and his Ends of the Earth keyblade. It was definitely time for his Command Style, Thunder Bolt. His speed now increased by at least double, and he began to attack the robots one by one. It was a single combo that involved a quick strike to one and he immediately changed direction and slashed into another. He kept himself to a group of about half a dozen of the robotic shadow creatures. After he'd seen to their end he finished his combo just in time as another half dozen Heartless, this time the round tank-like ones, were hit by a powerful cloud of electricity. He would not let the Heartless continue to wreak havoc upon this world.

(Sorry about the wait; I was waiting for Snow to post, and I only just realized now she left in the last Activity Check. It’s been more than a month since this thread started, so I’m going to wrap it up shortly, unless you guys request a final round with more Heartless and/or a boss.)
It was a bit presumptuous of the freelancer to assume that the Heartless would destroy their numbers so easily, not without some direct force to direct themselves at each other, as the scattered laser bolts only destroyed two or three of the Surveillance Robot Heartless. His second attempt however was much more successful, as he slashed out with his sword, the force behind the blow striking luck as he took out ten of their numbers. Ten remaining Armored Knights tore off from the group in a attack formation and came at him with Spin Rush, a horizontal spin attack, while another clump of ten Bookmasters sat back and attacked at range from behind them, using a combination of Fire and Blizzard.
The surviving Shadow Heartless that had not been targeted had left a decent mark on Night, who they had picked as their next target. Night’s attack destroyed one of them, but three still remained, circling and flattening them against the floor. After a separate slash destroyed three Armored Knight Heartless, his powerful Nulvoid Velocity attack destroyed at least six of the Surveillance Robot Heartless with the two passes he made, totalling twelve altogether and with the effort of Terra targeting one of them at time helped destroy the remaining eight. The fourth and final slash he made at the head of the Morning Star Heartless damaged it, but did not destroy it altogether, and so many actions against the Heartless to diminish their numbers now would cost him. Many of the Heartless started to recognize him as the higher threat because of it, and started to converge on him rapidly. On top of the Shadow Heartless repeatedly scratching him, seven of the remaining Armored Knight Heartless swarmed around him and jumped at him with Jump Rush, thrusting their swords forward whist leaping through the air. One of these powerful stabs from the repeated assault would be successful and pierce through his armor, leaving a severe wound and doing high damage.
More Armored Knights were taken out by Terra’s unique idea to use a Morning Star as a bowling ball, taking out another ten of their numbers. The remaining army of knights were already attacking his other two friends, and since he had helped Night take out the Surveillance Robot Heartless, only the Bookmasters and Morning Stars remained for him. Thankfully his Thunderbolt Command Style combo finisher had taken out five of them thanks to Night’s efforts at damaging one, and only fifteen of them remained, but he may soon live to regret it. Randomly assaulting the more experienced keyblader, a third of them attacked him with Iron Ball Punch, a left-and-right punch from their spiked fists. Another third of them attacked with Spinning Mow Down, spinning their bodies around horizontally in a more aggressive fist combo, and the remaining third came at him with their deadly spinning top-like Spinning Strike Attack. Even worse, the remaining ten Bookmasters assaulted from afar behind their physical brethren, these ones only randomly striking the field around them with Thunder however in a attempt to hit all the humans around them.
---
(Note: Night has been penalized with having an Armored Night successfully strike him, because of using twice the amount of actions during his turn. Not against the rules, but it will be marked again the group’s overall success. Also, Snow Rokosho has been removed from the thread.)
Round 2 Heartless remaining: X 15 Morning Star x 20 Bookmaster x 17Armored Knight x 4 Shadow Heartless (survived from round 1)

With Felix’s back now to the wall his vantage point was far better than earlier, a full view of the situation at hand lying before his eyes. It was from this vantage point that he got to register once again the remaining numbers of Heartless that were still something that he wouldn’t be able to deal with. His earlier plan of having the Surveillance Robots lessen their numbers had been rather ineffective and while he had taken quite a number of the Armored Knights out the other the far bigger threats still remained and it wasn’t easy to ignore. The odds of his survival were slim and the thought was getting to him again, his hands trembling at the thought of death. The red-head distracted by his fear for the moment, had done little against the Spin Rush attack coming at him, his blade only getting in the way a little and reducing the damage a small amount.
His back slammed against the cavern walls, a gasp of air escaping his lungs upon impact. He attempted to breathe but soon after that painful attack another came that was far more threatening and much more magical. His eyes widened as he dived to the right, toppling over a couple Armored Knights as he avoided the fate of going six feet under for a second longer. He winced in pain as he slowly got back to his feet again, the adrenaline not helping him ignore the pain racking his body any longer. A momentary reprieve graced him due to Night’s actions as he slowly got back to his feet examining the situation once more. After taking a gander, Felix was a tad surprised to see that the other two warriors that had tagged along were holding up better than him and seemed to be taking out more Heartless than he was.
‘So is this my limit as your everyday human huh?’ he thought as he watched the keybladers using their abilities seemingly without a care. They were fighting hard but he couldn’t shake the vexing feeling that came about upon seeing them fight. What was it that bugged him about these two? Were they stronger than him? Were they better warriors than he could ever hope to be? Was that what was causing him to grit his teeth and give them a look that could kill?... no that wasn’t it. No it was those keyblades that really irritated him. All his life he had heard about those over-sized hunks of metal, tales of heroic battles that were fought with them and everyone having an admiration for these “keybladers” that bordered on insane. The norm was to respect these noble warriors who put their lives on the line to save the many worlds out there and protect humankind from the likes of Heartless. Felix on the other hand had a far different opinion on these “heroes” though and it could be summed up in one word… lucky. Indeed luck was the only thing that those keybladers possessed the luck to receive such a powerful weapon, the luck needed to survive battle after battle without any sort of plan or real training, and the luck to be given the adoration of the masses and get help whenever they asked. They weren’t heroes at all; they were just lucky schmucks at the right place at the right time… this encounter only reinforced his belief. All this had cycled through his head before he had stood back up again, a smirk replacing the earlier expression of rage as he had managed to cool down during his little exposition. He wanted to earn his achievements and awards and not simply be handed everything. That’s why he loved money and that’s why he loved his job… speaking of which,
‘There’s nothing special about me… I’m just a normal human. I’m just a normal human with no powers that I was born with, no weapon of mass destruction or anything like that. I’ve got plenty of limits imposed upon me simply because I wasn’t lucky… but… I don’t care. I won’t accept that this as far as I can go as a normal person... I refuse to accept that fate,’ he spieled mentally, not about to lose face in front of these derelicts that were given their power and didn’t earn it. This red-headed warrior had worked hard to get where he was today, receiving many a beating and never once getting the easy way out as an option. Now was the time to show the results of his hard work and get back that little girl’s necklace. The freelancer quickly cracked his knuckles as the Heartless were steadily approaching once again, his temporary sanctuary provided by Night’s reckless behavior now gone and Felix was fending for himself once again,
“Alright it’s time to get the job done!” the freelancer shouted as his Mass Manipulator was activated, his mass being cut in half as he grinned widely, “hope you’ve enjoyed the show but the #1 Freelancer Felix Maximillian is closing the curtains on you guys!” he added as he burst forward running past the Heartless that had gathered around him and zipping past any spells hurtled toward him. Without hesitation, Felix had headed toward the 7 Armored Knights that had ganged up on Night, figuring he owed the kid even if he was a keyblader. He would run past the seven very quickly, his body low to the ground as he kept his blade extended at waist level, cutting past the Armored Knights with amazing speed. He didn’t stop to see how much damage the attack did, certain that even at his reduced mass these weak Armored Knights would go down fairly easily before rushing onto a Morning Star. If Terra could use the giant Heartless as a bowling ball than certainly Felix could do the same right? Felix surely thought so and immediately dashed over and past any stray spells as he made his way to one of the Morning Stars that was throwing an Iron Ball Punch attack. He would approach the Heartless from the flank, dipping to the right as he set himself up for a left hook. The blow would strike the Morning Star in the side, Felix increasing his mass upon impact and sending the Morning Star flying into other neighboring Heartless, it’s giant frame something not easily evaded in these tight caverns... nor Thunder attacks,
“Wooo!” the freelancer cooed as a thunder bolt narrowly missed him. Not wasting any time after his attack, Felix got away from the Morning Stars to avoid their attacks that seemed focused on Terra anyway and moving on to the Bookmasters after releasing his most recent switch. He would get close to the Heartless, as he slipped into his Thai stance and threw his blade back in its scabbard… he wanted to destroy these ones the old fashioned way... with his fists,
“You guys need a personal touch for how annoying you’ve been,” the freelancer would taunt, that usual confidence back in his voice... he was back in business.
Mass Manipulator: Active = 2 out of 5 switches with 2 posts duration left... current mass is normal

[bg=000000][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,600,true][atrb=cellpadding,20px,true] Night seemed somewhat happy with his attack. For a while actually thinking he was doing well despite having been out numbered. Sure there were others around helping him, but for him this was a personal best so that made him happy. Well at least until he noticed the attention his attacks had brought him. 'Slag, Night to himself bringing up his keyblade as the shadow heartless came at him. Night using his blade as a shield to block it's attacks. However it also distracted him from the armored knights coming at him. The young keyweilder able to dodge a few of them before one caught his left arm, making him grunt and step to his right where he was caught right in the path of one of the attacks that came at him. The Heartless' pricing his hard armor making him cry out in pain.
After being struck Night stumbled back and fell on one knee. His right arm holding his injured side, as he used his keyblade to keep himself sitting up. The young one groaning in pain. Here he thought all his beatings would have toughen him up but there were still injuries that would cause the massive damage and hurt like a glitch. He thought he would be over with had the red head guy not stepped in and attacked the heartless that surrounded him. Night struggling to his feet as he got up with a weak stance. The grip on his keyblade tight as he tried to keep on the defensive for now. This around not attacking to give him a chance to adjust to the pain. He looked up at the book things, whatever they were called as they casted some sort of spell. Night quickly bringing up his free hand to create his Cleansing Light shield for himself to block the thunder coming at him for now. leaning against the cave wall as he just watched what happened for now.
