((OOC:: *Stares at his mis-spelled name in Selena's starting post* >8(((((((((( Unamused... )) There was a great war brewing off on the far distant lands of this strange universe. The gathering of large groups of both the Light and the Dark, though subtle, were there to detect. However it all felt like a big mess of presences and aura... it was impossible to tell how many there were and who they were. Not that it was very important, for a task had been set before himself which included returning to a world he visited once before, to taint it's core and bring the world back to the Darkness. There were rumours floating around that this world had belonged to the Darkness before and though Light had returned, there was still small traces of Darkness lingering about, hiding away in the dark shadows, standing out of view behind pillars, crouched behind the regrowing shrubs outside. You couldn't see it, but it was there.
Which led the man dressed in the long Scarlet Coat to wonder something. Last time he came to this world, he discovered a staircase leading down from the throne room, into a large underground antechamber that housed a gigantic sphere called a 'Cornerstone of Light'. There was a large Mouse wielding a long Key whom followed him through the door leading to a new world, coloured only in black and white. One would assume that the Cornerstone found within there was the same as the one in the castle... a strange time lapse or something. It was beyond the auburn-haired man's intelligence with such little information at hand. Perhaps with some more probing, answered would reveal themselves. But there was little time now. War was coming and the auburn-haired man had to prepare for battle. Slowly, his bright blue eyes looked away from the Cornerstone, his body twisting around slowly until his back was facing the large circular object.
Casting a brief look over his shoulder, Genesis Rhapsodos peered back at the Cornerstone, feeling the great Light within shining out warmly, almost fiercely as if trying to drive the SOLDIER 1st Class away. A second passed which felt more like an hour as Genesis continued to stare at the Cornerstone, the image of a beautiful young woman with long blond hair and a slender fitting white dress, appeared within his mind, causing a small smile to spread across his lips. "Even if the morrow is barren of promises, Nothing shall forestall my return. To become the dew that quenches the land, To spare the sands, the seas, the skies, I offer thee this silent sacrifice." The Scarlet SOLDIER said aloud as he spread his arms wide before himself, looking to either side at his surroundings. Cosmos had told him his quest and now this Castle will fall to the Darkness as a gift to the Goddess. A sacrifice for the things to come in the future. The Cornerstone would once again be tainted with the Darkness and the balance will be one stop closer to being complete. It wouldn't take long, for the Cornerstone within Timeless River was already darkened. The effect was starting to become visible on this Cornerstone within Disney Castle yet there was much more Light then Dark within it's core.
Turning again, the SOLDIER 1st Class made his way out of the antechamber, walking up the stairs back into the throne room, where the passage revealing the entrance to Timeless River slid closed, sealing off the Cornerstone. The Light was coming. It was only a matter of time and Genesis was going to be ready for them. Especially since he knew of two allies already on his side, one being his good friend since years past and the other being a strange, somewhat surprising Clone. One that had survived much, much longer then the rest. During his time spent with Deepground, Genesis was confident that his friendship with Sephiroth was in equal terms to that of Weiss and Nero. Nothing will stop the Darkness from claiming this world!
Nothing!!

In spite of the war brewing in the most darkest regions of the universe, Sephiroth was among the few who remained not the least bit concerned about what was happening. In light of his recent run in with the Keyblade Wielder and his two pals, he had come to move onward towards obtaining his desired quarry. The Hearts of Purity, as well as the information on how to obtain the X-Blade from them remained out there in the stars somewhere, and Sephiroth was determined to find it. Fortune would have it that an old friend from the past had wandered upon his meeting with the Trinity. He had not seen Genesis Rhapsodos since Zack and himself traveled to Mt. Nibel's reactor, the moments when he discovered who he really was, and where he came from. His words had been doubted at first, but in the end they proved to be true once the silver haired legend had occupied Shinra Manor.
However they came to speak and Genesis spoke of an attack on the restored castle of the Light. At first the One Winged Angel didn't seem interested when he could be bettering his schemes, but when Sephiroth thought about the effect it would have, he decided to reconsider. More Darkness in the worlds would regain the attention of those who would work for Cosmos and her Light, as they have come to believe it had been snuffed out. This in turn would draw Cloud, Kadaj and all his enemies to him. All in one place for Sephiroth to smite them all down with the judgement they so rightfully deserved, by the god who would ascend beyond their likes. Sephiroth decided it would be a good opportunity indeed, and with the likes of Cloud out of the way, he could pursue his own endeavor without interference from the hopeful. For now he would amuse Genesis and his little war, then would return his focus to eliminating Cloud for good.
Every last Light would burn out.
Several feet before Genesis appeared a shower of black feathers on spot, and they fell to reveal the One Winged Angel standing within their embrace. Eyes green with the intense burn of mako looked up to the blue spheres of his former comrade, and a man whom he shared a bit of a rivalry with over the years. Nevertheless, he saw the subject of Project G as a friend who had enlightened him with the truth. "Genesis." spoke Sephiroth to the individual before him. With a firm grip on the hilt of Masamune, Sephiroth stood there as the blade was held in a reverse fashion. He regarded the former SOLIDER 1st Class with a small tug at the corner of his lip, and a subtle nod before he looked over his shoulder to a barren room. "I see your guests have yet to arrive." he added before returning his attention back to his friend. Sephiroth walked slowly over to the throne that had slid aside for the staircase to emerge, and ran his gloved right hand over the arm of the golden seat.
He took a moment of silence to look around the rather large antechamber they stood in, taking note of the good amount of space they would have to work with if the two former Shinra Operatives happened to be ambushed. However he anticipated the moment until pawns of the Light would march through those large doors at the other end of the large hall, and demand that they leave or else. Sephiroth closed his eyes at the humor of the predictability amongst most of the Warriors of Cosmos in the Thirteenth Cycle, just as Cloud always was. He returned his gaze towards Genesis, and looked upon him to notice that he was no longer degrading. Sephiroth found it a shame that Angeal could not be here with the two of them as he should be, however the silver haired legend presumed him to be off with Zack somewhere. "Is the Light's treasure beginning to turn?" he asked, wanting to know the situation on the corruption of the stone.

Light. Darkness. Neither concept would draw the Copy's attention. This Genesis Copy was one of the G Slayer models. Created through Dr. Hollander and Genesis Rhapsodos from a former SOLDIER 2nd Class, actually he was still a SOLDIER when he had followed Genesis to his own demise. Becoming the man he had admired in his life, he had no longer the physical appearance nor the original mind of the former SOLDIER, instead having a withered form of Genesis with white hair and a broken mind that was set to follow his missions that Genesis gave him. He had been sent to destroy the Shin-Ra building, but ended up beaten by Zack.
Ever since his return he had been searching to finish his work, but only found new worlds that brought him nowhere closer. At several points in time he had turned to hunting the S Cells by attacking Kadaj, which he strangely met a lot unlike any of his brothers. Now he met another one of the 'family', the original actually. Sephiroth was moving right in the very same castle he was at, but the G Slayer had his orders. A new mission to not attack Sephiroth and attack anyone on sight that was not Genesis or Sephiroth. Told that the Light would come, the G Slayer moved and searched through the castle, just taking in his surroundings and scanning the area for threats.
The G Slayer was found by Genesis again and told to follow there, to Disney Castle. While Genesis was still surprised how the G Slayer had survived so long, the G Slayer finally was able to break down his search for Shin-Ra. Ending his continuous journey through the worlds in search of a place that appeared to be unfindable. His new ally was none other than Sephiroth and still the G Slayer had somehow not collapsed under the degradation. It seemed to have slowed down even further, but without answers.
A door opened as the G Slayer moved to the throne room where he heard Sephiroth speak to Genesis. The Copy slowly moved towards his two allies while not exactly taking in what was said, as if it was nothing of importance and remained quietly as he stood there. His face turned somewhat calm as he pulled up his gunblade and placed it before him. The Copy was ready for an attack while his back was turned to the door to the throne room, he would definitely hear it if someone came in and turn to attack if required. The Copy was become stronger than when he first was made. If a new G Slayer model would appear, it would definitely not be this long-living Copy to fall, but to obliterate the other if they were to fight.
The G Slayer waited. To destroy the Light that would come.

Peering over his shoulder as he watched the chamber leading to the Cornerstone slide closed, the Scarlet SOLDIER narrowed his eyes a fraction as he turned his body around to stare towards the entrance of the throne room, eying the massive doors up and down as he felt something approaching. Not who he was expecting to see first, Genesis' eyes widened a fraction at the Angel's new trick. A cluster of black feathers emerging from thin air, before the man himself stepped forth from the display. When did he learn to do this? Leaning off to one side slightly, the auburn-haired male peaking past Sephiroth to see if his wing was present. The appearance of the black feathers reminding him greatly of his own wing and just for a second, the Scarlet SOLDIER pondered if he too would manage this technique? It was an interesting thought, seeing as how much the G-Slayer had grown in strength during the stories of Crisis Core and beyond, could the possible chance that with the arrival of all these new worlds, that new limitations had been opened up to both the SOLDIER's?
Mixed emotions darted through his head. If Sephiroth had indeed grown even more powerful... the chances of Genesis beating him in combat now seemed to dwindle further. Granted he was confident that he would have won without the interruption of Angeal all those years ago... now... seemed a different story altogether. Thankfully, they were not enemies. At least for the time being. Upon hearing his name being spoken from the Legendary SOLDIER, Genesis just let a small smile spread across his lips as he nodded back in return. "Sephiroth. You're looking well." The auburn-haired man answered, staring past the Chosen One as he examined the throne room. This was a nice large space, still bearing a few wounds from the war that happened here in the past. Though the walls were colourful, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and as a whole, the entire Castle seemed to be in the hands of the Light, it would only be due time before the corrupted Timeless River Cornerstone would devour the entire world with Darkness. "They'll be here. The Mouse King seemed pretty determined to keep the black and white world in the hands of the Light. It must hold some importance due to the large Light-filled sphere being there as well."
Genesis kept his eyes on the throne rooms huge doors as Sephiroth walked past him off towards the throne itself. Someone else was coming, but the presence was far too familiar to be anyone of the Light... and it didn't feel like Zack nor Angeal. Speaking of Angeal... "Angeal has arrived in these worlds as well." Genesis spoke up, his bright blue eyes staying focused on the large doors up ahead. After a short pause, he turned his head too one side and looked over at Sephiroth from the corner of his eye. "I found him in Traverse Town, where we fought before moving our own ways. Zack I last saw inside the stomach of a gigantic monster... where he is now, I have no idea. I assume they've met up and are continuing there travels together." The large doors creaked open and Genesis peered back towards them to see his Clone emerge through the gap. Genesis smirked subtly to himself, looking his degrading clone over a couple of times and remembering when he were in such a state himself. Walking up towards the Clone when Sephiroth's question reached his ears, Genesis raised up his right arm and ran his gloved fingers through G-Slayers hair, taking note of gray flakes of degradation falling from G-Slayers hair like dust covering an ancient antique.
"The large sphere holds immense powers of Light. Even with the one found in the black and white world turned to Darkness, it will take time for that alone to corrupt this world. Then there's the chance that the Light could always reclaim the black and white world, halting it's progress. Taking this world by force ourselves will complete the process much faster." Genesis said, looking over his shoulder and peering off towards Sephiroth through the corner of his eye once more. There must be good reason for Sephiroth to have come here, beside aiding an old friend. A lot of Sephiroth's records had been deleted from Shin-Ra along with his own. Deepground knew a few things, but seeing as the man himself was here, it would be easier to get answers from the horses mouth instead of taking wild guesses. Glancing back at G-Slayer, Genesis dusted off one of his shoulders before eying him curiously. Could his degradation be slowing down due to being away from Gaia? But it was the Lifestream itself that healed Genesis of his own degradation... Perhaps there would be a way to halt it altogether and maybe reserve the effect? Having two Genesis' going about and taking worlds from the Light would certainly speed things up.

Sephiroth listened to what Genesis had to say, simply watching the former 1st Class while continuing to take note of everything around the crimson coat. The unexpected and rather useless information on Angeal's whereabouts got the silver haired legend to ponder the vague possibility of his old friend for but a moment. The idea of him out there with Zack was also a possibility, however it was irrelevant to his task at hand. However the news Genesis went on to explain about how they would need to take this world by force, Sephiroth saw no problem with their success. No doubt the suspicious activity of Darkness within a Light stronghold would draw investigators. The inquisitive were always the more foolish, the ones lost in the grey area of Light and Dark within their hearts. They were the ones who were no longer serving purpose, either because they had lost theirs or never had one to begin with. So the Angel would guide them here, and give them a reason to fight, to give them a purpose he would gladly rip away. As he expected, the echoing sound of a door opening rang through the chamber which made Sephiroth turn to look upon their foe. There were a number of things Sephiroth expected to come walking through the single smaller door at the other end of the hall, and the least of them just happened to take the role as his green eyes set sights upon a familiar sight. Strangely it was not their enemy, but rather a willing ally in the form of a lasting Genesis copy from the war.
Interesting.
Here Sephiroth thought that Shin-ra had possibly wiped the last of them out by the time he killed the President, but yet there was living proof of a lone survivor before them. "Angeal can continue to play mentor if he wishes, however he will not stand between the Promised Land and it's Chosen One. Every warrior representing the Light, every last enemy that shall appear here before us, will perish and join the Lifestream. Failure is but a delusion, Genesis." he spoke. Sephiroth walked forward, stepping off of the throne's steps, and passed by the two as he held out his right palm. As his eyes locked with the gloved hand with it's fingers clawed, dark wisps of negative energy began to form in his hand. They danced but for a moment, then spiraled upward until a spark of purple ignited, then revealed the Black Materia within his palm before he tightened his grip upon it. He looked upon it in a light that only reminded him of the fondness he felt upon seeing Mother for the first time. The destructive capabilities of something so small in comparison to all that was out there, it was simply fascinating, simply divine.
As he dispersed the sphere from his palm with the decision for later use if necessary, Sephiroth pivoted to his right as he lowered his hand and looked over his shoulder to his old comrade. He appeared to be observing the clone's degrading features, which considering it's age, had slowed tremendously. Sephiroth remembered the information he had received in dossiers from Shinra, as well as the observations he had made when fighting them in the past. They held more formidable talent than the likes of most Heartless, so he would provide excellent support for whatever counter the Light had sent their direction. "Come, let us make the future." spoke the silver haired legend as he started towards the other end of the antechamber, intent on finishing what he came to start. Continuing to look over his degrading clone some more, the Scarlet SOLDIER kept his back to the Chosen One, examining the copy of himself in further detail, so much as walking around the Slayer in a slow circle, looking at him from every angle. It would probably be a smart thing to take the G-Slayer back to Gaia at some point, introduce him to the Lifestream and see if this degradation could be cured. This Clone was obviously superior to all those made before and after him and theorizing from past experience, this degradation was only hindering his abilities. Just before Genesis' battle with Zack, the auburn-haired male had to resort to calling on the Goddess' power, transforming himself into an Avatar. He was too badly degraded himself to have fought as he was. Though it was only when returning to his normal form, did the Scarlet SOLDIER become free of degradation. Perhaps the situation was the same for the G-Slayer?
After finishing a single cycle around G-Slayer, Genesis raised his head up and glanced over his shoulder towards Sephiroth, staring at him when he spoke out about Angeal, also taking notice of a small black sphere that reminded him of a piece of Materia. Did the One Winged Angel forget who Angeal was? Wasn't he just as much his friend as he was Genesis'? Sure, the auburn-haired man fought him back in Traverse Town, but that was simply because Angeal didn't understand the risk that was just waiting to happen with the Light claiming world after world. After staring at the Legendary SOLDIER for a moment in silence, Genesis could only wonder what Sephiroth's views were on the imbalance of Light and Dark. Most logical answer would be that he didn't care at all, but there was some reason he had come here, surely. Genesis just hadn't figured out what it was yet. Perhaps it had something to do with that strange black sphere he seemed to show the party? Something about this 'Promised Land' as well no doubt. What exactly was the Promised Land and what was that Black Materia looking thing anyway? "Promised Land, you say? Sounds like something you'd read in LOVELESS. What is this 'Promised Land?'" Genesis asked, side-stepping out from behind G Slayer and watching Sephiroth as he walked past them both off towards the throne room doors.
Though the interest in the Promised Land didn't linger for too long, for the presence of a newcomer was approaching, snapping the auburn-haired man out of his thoughts for a second. Turning his body away from Sephiroth slightly, Genesis looked past G-Slayer and off towards the main entrance to the throne room. They had arrived, or at least it felt like someone had. A powerful Light aura... two actually. They felt like they had already been lingering in this world for quite a while, so it came as a small surprise to the Scarlet SOLDIER that he was only able to detect them now. Briefly switching his vision from huge doors towards Sephiroth's back, the auburn-haired SOLDIER wondered if the Chosen One could also detect presences, the alignment of a persons heart? Genesis tilted his head a fraction as he tried to discover what he could from these presences. "They're coming... Two of them... neither feel like Zack or Angeal..." Which would have also ruled out Cloud too, seeing as he would have felt pretty identical to Zack's aura. Not that Genesis knew this Cloud person very well. Most of the times he encountered Zack, Cloud was either hiding behind his Shin-Ra helmet or not present at all. Regardless, it was going to be interesting to see who appeared. Noticing that G-Slayer was still looking at him... or perhaps not looking at anything in particular, Genesis raised up a gloved hand and gestured for the Slayer to turn around and face the doors.

The main entrance of the throne room did not stir for some time, silent in it's anticipation of who was to come, the mask of which the nameless presence would be anonymous behind until they had passed such a threshold. Behind such a gate and further down the red-carpeted hallway, army boots belonging to an individual male made soft muffled thuds as he progressed, but the individual was alone. It had been quite some time since he had stepped foot into a castle, including his own, and such fleeting memories only cautioned him further for the fact that there was no guards in sight than many blocking his path. He did not know what kind of a kingdom this was, and in many ways it looked strange and foreign to him compared to the dark skyscrapers that he was used to, more colorful and lacking the realistic detail compared to his own body. But a ruler's reign was reflected on their kingdom and their people, and by what Noctis had seen of the Dream Festival being held outside of the castle slowly being rebuilt and the citizens celebrating in their own cheerful mirth, it told him the royalty here provided and made their citizens satisfied and content with their lives despite fear of attack.
Not safe, however... the appearance of the dark, shadowy beings that had been sighted in his kingdom and Tenebrae had shown up here and attacked the festival-goers, which indicated what Noctis suspected to be two things.
This kingdom was being taken over.
And, that he had been followed.
Seeing the tranquility and euphoria of this place, he felt it was one worth maintaining the harmony that had been prominent since his friend Snow had been reunited with his estranged 'family', and he with the vibrant princess. Long ago before all of this began, he had been a childish prince and witnessing nearby kingdoms being taken over from the safety of his motorcade, he did not care for the invasion but it still concerned him. Selfish, perhaps, but he was a prince in a society where such matters like politics and red tape complicated matters of being directly involved. His infantry were the men who were on the front lines, and he had to watch from a distance behind his protective guard, such matters for a prince was not dealt by sword but by pen and silver tongue. But he had been right to be concerned, when his own kingdom and city had been attacked and the crystal stolen, and suddenly democracy and negotiations no longer mattered anymore as it was all thrown out the window to plummet straight to hell.
Caught directly upon the brutal siege upon his kingdom and thrust forcefully outside the only world he knew to seek his crystal, it had all been turned upside down and the rules no longer implied, being pulled from the throne straight into the heart of the conflict itself. Such a notion should have excited the prince, but the realism of the violence and the many people dying around him made him realize that he had a confined, yet well-off life where he had once been. That felt like a lifetime ago, and a living that had become undone he could no longer turn back to. This was why the Prince was glad at this time to be alone... he had been marked as a target for as long as he could remember since that war had begun. He was glad that he had eventually lost the people he knew in the chaotic crowd outside in the courtyard - Lightning, Stella, Snow Villers and the people he had been looking for - he did not want to get them involved as much as they all would have liked him to remain with them, for this was his burden to bear, and his alone.
He was a prince, but not even such a title signified any relevance, should he meet his end as he marched towards an unknown fate. His father, King Noctis, had renounced his right to the throne after him, and decided he would be the last king in their lineage. And perhaps he was knowledgeable in his choice, for the Prince knew he was deserving of such a title, but that did not mean he would be ready for such the burden of a responsibility on his shoulders. How naive he had been to let the superstition of the mythology of the Goddess Etro get to him that the reason he could see a strange light meant his life would be taken, as his father had the same power he did, and yet he and his forefathers before him had not passed. The only reality in which his own soul would traverse to the city of the dead was being marked as bounty and being struck down in the viciousness of combat, and while his friends had been loyal and Light a strong rival to keep him on edge, they would move on from his passing from this life to the next.
And the eager princess, as he cast his thoughts on their first meeting in those quiet times, she would have been... maybe she would go on in his place to find the truth to what the meaning of the light meant he did not want to know of.
His thoughts were interrupted as the hallway came to a set of massive double doors, their size and elaborate design indicating to him this must have been the throne room he had been searching for. He had a solid hunch once he split from the others in the group that if a force had come to overthrow the dictatorship in this castle, the acquisition of power would take place in the throne room where the royalty most likely were, just as one of the strange men in white-hooded cloaks did when they came for his father. Pushing the unsettling memory aside to focus on the obstacle before him, he contemplated how it could be possible to open such a massive portal if it was not barricaded from within, until he saw the cracks of a smaller doorway within one of the doors itself. Could it be... his right gloved hand reached out to touch the ivory surface which moved a fraction to his pressure upon it, sharp intake of breath bracing himself as he forcefully pushed it open, expecting some sort of trap or infantry pointing weapons at him from within. However, only the sight of three men some distance from the opening met his inquisitive stare, and he watched them carefully as he stepped across the threshold into the immense throne chamber.
The first man closest to him had long, silver flowing hair, holding a long thin katana that was just as long or even longer than himself, his turquoise eyes sunken into his eyesockets and flickering with some trick of the light giving him a look of one whom perhaps had seen the ugliness of warfare for far too long. He had pauldrons on his shoulders which suggested just that with the look of a warrior, and Noctis's navy blue orbs under long bangs of raven hair moved cautiously to examine the other two men, and became surprised to come across another familiar face. This man who's fiery hair color almost matched that of his coat he had met previously, on another world, finding him in company with a goddess he believed to be the one he was searching for to answer questions long unprovided. She had asked him what had troubled him so, and the Prince had asked her if she had heard of the legend of his world concerning the light that shone in the sky linked to a goddess, and instead of mollifying him had suddenly disappeared before his eyes in a flash of light. One did not flee unless they were burdened with guilt, and it only influenced him more in his mind his doubts had gone answered because she was the goddess who had cursed him and Stella, this man who had provided his unique name to him had been in her presence more welcomed than his as he spoke of cruel fate and no honor or dreams.
How many people had to die to give him power, people who had lives and were cherished more than he... was this unwanted power going to be delivered back to the Goddess at a cost heavier than his plagued soul?
"Genesis...?" he spoke the word, guessing this was the creative name the familiar man was known by rather than the more commonly used word to describe the beginning or creation, the last word he remembered being told by him before Noctis decided to depart after the goddess had. Curiosity bubbling within his mind to what such a poetic man was doing here crossing paths with him once more, and the Prince wondered if this also had to do with what the goddess, as if in favoring him over himself had planned for him to be here. Perhaps by mere coincidence or because their paths purposely intersected, he did not know, but perhaps he would soon learn from the man who once had addressed him so humbly. "You had questions like I had... did the answers lead you here?" he queried in some confusion, getting a vibe there was something more here than there was going on, glancing to the small throne chairs that were too small for the men themselves before taking a glance at the last man.
And this figure was... surprising to say, at the very least. The man was the spitting image of the red-haired man standing nearby, except of his own locks being stark white in hue, and... he looked very aged somewhat, as if the life was slipping away from his soul more than the fact his cracked skin looked aged. An elder brother, a twin perhaps, to the first? Like Snow's relations to his family, such knowledge was irrelevant and none of his business in this moment of uncertainty, the facts and the purpose of these battle-ready men being here more important. The elderly Genesis had out a rather large looking blade, and the silver-haired man was holding some strange black orb, and from stealing a glance at the shadows that brewed under it's glassy surface told Noct that something was not quite right here.
All three of the males had similar-looking coats with pauldrons, which told him they must have been related by uniform somehow, but if they were guards or soliders to this place then why were they not out helping the civilians? They looked just as out of place in this vibrant world as he did, and standing around in this throne room seemed rather suspicious. He would let Genesis answer his question to explain himself, as he was sure if the man had been as peaceful and modest as he had been with the goddess, the other men associated with him would not attack him... yet. Genesis was still a stranger to him, and he had his doubts he had been consorting with the goddess if he was either just as puzzled as he was or consorting with her, with the possibility that they were here for him just as likely as he was here to instigate the protection of this kingdom.
Every man had the potential to do harm or good, and there was no good or evil, until thinking made it so.
"You're not here to protect the castle, are you? Are you here for me?" he added inquisitively, pausing in considerate afterthought, his ebon eyebrows slightly furrowing in concern. What Genesis could have implied with talk of cruelty and loss of hope could be interpretative that he knew of the fate he had in store for Noc, to come after him as a target and claim the bounty on his head, but there were many interpretations that could be instigated. The men had not assaulted him yet, and Genesis previously had not had reason to show him aggression, so he was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. But the goddess was not here to act as a benefiting mediator to gently soothe the mood with her radiant presence, and he did not know enough of the man in the red coat to determine what his true intentions were nor that of his associates. There was only one way to resolve why the men were waiting here with weapons drawn and the royalty missing, and so he stood there some few meters before the closest man with the long silver hair, letting his familiar acquaintance have his name he was unable to return in kind so long ago in that sanctuary of light.
"I am Prince Noctis... if you have come here to target me, then come at me. However, I have come to stop the people invading this kingdom, and if the case is you are responsible for either I will show the full power of my vengeance to you all, tenfold. If not, you have nothing to hide. So, what say you...?"
(EDIT: Changed the post because I forgot Genesis conveniently tainted the Cornerstone without any opposition. You'll pay for assuming you have such easy access, old friend. >3)

His Copy remained standing when Genesis ran his glove through his hair and started to dust him off. The words he heard from Sephiroth did little to the being. The talk about black and white, Dark and Light, seemed to do little, but all the G Slayer heard was the taking of the world. His intension were to follow command and fight anyone who came of the Light to stop them.
When the silver-haired man came from the throne and passed them, the G Slayer did keep him within sight, turning his head slightly as the man brought out the Black Materia. The sphere he hadn’t seen before, but he saw that it was Materia, something used a lot in his home world and he had seen little appear during his travels. A memory of Kadaj using one came to mind, but nothing else.
Genesis was questioning Sephiroth on what he was telling, which continued the conversation. He wasn’t anywhere in it, he somewhat noted, but didn’t care or mind. Both of them probably knew a lot of the Genesis Copies already, especially since one created them while the other had fought them in the past. When Genesis suddenly turned to the doors, the G Slayer started to turn as well, expecting someone to arrive. Genesis spoke of two coming.
The door opened to reveal another man, which he could not expect to be one of his allies. The G Slayer pulled up his large gunblade and started to move it towards his front as to ready himself. The man that had appeared started to look over the three that were there, him, Sephiroth, and Genesis. This was before he spoke towards the last. This was before he looked over him, the Copy of the man he spoke to.
The sphere in Sephiroth’s hand had already vanished. The four men now in the room were, what he assumed, ready for combat if it was needed. Since the man questioned Genesis, the Copy did not make any movements or attacks just yet. Instead he kept his gunblade up and ready for shooting when required, but kept his surroundings all in mind. He had seen too many people come out of the most unlikely places since he had started to wander. Most of it even being not logical, but even his appearances in places had been illogical as well.
[OOC: Another one of my crappy posts. Wasn't sure if I should start shooting at Noctis or wait, but felt it was more logical for the Copy to wait. Not sure if I've done right. The next to appear from weird places gets the bullet. xD]

Danger. Lightning could sense it.
Earlier today, this kingdom had been rejoicing and celebrating that the light had being restored. Lightning had also found herself right in the middle of all the festivities, after she brought a young girl by the name of Stella to this world. And from there, she managed to run into some of her old friends. Vanille, Snow, Hope, all of them managed to find her. It made her feel so much better to know that they were all alright, and she felt a bit more relaxed about that. But part of her still worried for the others. She wondered how Fang was, how Sazh and his son were, and most importantly, how her sister was. She was a bit worried about Serah when she was not with Snow. She could only hope that Serah was just at home safe and sound, waiting for Lightning and Snow to return. That thought made Lightning feel a bit more relaxed.
But for right now, she couldn't worry about that. That wasn't the problem at the moment. The main problem was that this world was being threatened by the Darkness again. She could sense the mood changing drastically. And since she was here in this world, she felt it was her responsibility to make sure that this world remained safe and that the darkness did not spread. She ran up to the Castle that was currently being infiltrated, forcing the door open. She ran as quickly as she could, trying to locate where the ones fighting were. Lightning did not tell any of her friends that she had run off to fight this battle. She let them rest, not wanting any of them to get hurt. It was her job to protect them. She couldn't affored to have any of them hurt, and she would just end up putting the blame on herself. Lightning had no idea that Noctis had the same idea as well, and that she was going to come into contact with him very shortly.
Lightning was pretty much entering this battle totally blind. She had no idea who was going to be there. She didn't know how many Dark foes she would have to face. And she didn't know if she would be fighting this battle alone. But right now, things like that did not matter to Lightning. All she cared about was trying to prevent the Darkness from spreading. It wouldn't be fair if the Darkness returned to this world. The poor people had just managed to get rid of it...and now it was back again! How could it be, that they were all celebrating and rejoicing just a few hours ago, and now they were back to hiding and cowering? Lightning could not stand for that at all, so she had to stop them. Or at least try and stop them. No, she couldn't think like that. If she thought that she could not do it, odds are she would not be able to do it. And that might affect her performance in battle. She had to remain positive, just hope and aspire for the best. She had to be the best, she had to win.
Lightning finally made it to where the others were. She did not recognize the two dark forces, but they sort of looked alike in some weird way. But Lightning immediately recognized one person in the room, and she felt some anger take her over. Why had Noctis run off into battle on his own? Did he really think that he could take them on by himself? That he didn't need any help at all? Why would he do that!? Why would he-...Lightning stopped thinking when she realied that Noctis had done the same exact thing she had. Coming into battle alone to try and keep the others safe. Maybe the did have more in common than she had thought. Lightning ran over to Noctis, standing next to him. "Need a hand?" She asked, though she was going to be fighting whether he said yes or no to this question. She drew Blaze Edge out of it's holster, entering a sort of battle stance. She looked at both Dark forces with a stone cold glare, a look that showed just how serious and determined she was about this. They had to win. They had to protect this world, and keep the Light strong. Lightning was ready, waiting for the other two to attack first.

The sky in the courtyard ripped open and out from it stepped the physical titan of a Nobody. This Nobody has been one of the most faithful servants of the Superior. The Superior allied himself with the Light and it was Lexaeus’s pleasure to support the Light in the place of the Superior. As such, when he entered the surrounding town and felt the presence of the light, Lexaeus immediately transported himself closer to the Cornerstone of Light. It was there that he distinctly sensed three figures of absolute Darkness in the hall, and he would confront them.
Luckily, on his way through the halls of Disney Castle, Number V felt the disappearance of one of the figures of Darkness. He was actually the strongest of the three, if his senses were in fact correct. Maybe Lexaeus wouldn’t have to aid the two warriors of light that had already confronted the darkness inside, just maybe.
As he entered the massive figure came within feet of the throne, he decided something. He decided it would be within his best interest to wait the conflict out. Why would he subject himself to injury when the two light warriors inside can handle the figures of darkness? However, it would be necessary to view the conflict to determine if his talents would be needed.
An oval shaped cloud of darkness opened almost-silently in the corner of the Hall of the Cornerstone, and Lexaeus stood there when the darkness escaped. Fully-hooded The Silent Hero merely lent his ear to what would be said from this moment forward.
[Sorry guys, its not much, but I wanted to get a post in and I didn’t have time for anything else v.v]

((OOC: *Glances at Sephiroth* Tsk... what a pain. Oh well, this'll make things interesting. And on a side note, Vince, the 'door' leading to the steps down to the Cornerstone slid closed in one of my earlier posts. Access to the Cornerstone itself is impossible unless you dig your way through or open up the path to it =D Or use a portal... Just wanted to point that out =D)) Things seemed to take a slight turn for the worse. While everything for now seemed to be going according to plan, Sephiroth seemed to just up and disappear, vanishing into the Darkness without a trace leaving behind both himself and his Clone, G Slayer. What a pain. Who did he think he was anyway? The Scarlet SOLDIER was confident that he had found a renewed friendship with the Legendary SOLDIER and here he is just up and leaving like that? A frown appeared on Genesis' face as he lowered his head a fraction, his bright blue eyes looking towards the floor before he shook his head from side to side dejectedly. Perhaps it was time to seek out new alliances rather then relying on older ones. Making a mental note of that, the auburn-haired man turned his attention back onto G Slayer, staring at him with a now blank expression. Chances were that his Clone had no idea what was going on... must be nice, just having to blindly follow orders all the time, no worry of plans failing and needed to think up of new ones on the very spot. Genesis just smiled and shrugged his shoulders at the G Slayer. "Figures, huh?"
Though the sound of a door opening followed by that of footsteps from one of the users of Light reached his ears, causing the man in the scarlet coat to turn around and look upon whoever it was entering the throne room. Bright blue eyes widened the smallest fraction as he recognized the figure approaching him. Well well. If it wasn't the man whom he first met along with the Goddess herself. Interesting. Had he followed him here, curious as to what Genesis' intentions were? Perhaps he had a hunch from their first meeting that he was bad news? Who knew? It seemed clear enough though that this man remembered who he was, first mistaking the auburn-haired man for a God himself. A small smile appeared across his lips as he turned himself around fully, raising up his right arm and showing his palm towards G Slayer, motioning for him to remain still and not to attack. "The Goddess gave me my path but it was my feet that took the first steps. What I do is of my own will. The Goddess merely pointed me in the right direction." He answered when Noctis' question reached his ears, peering behind him towards G Slayer when he noticed that the Prince himself was checking him out.
When the next question left the raven-haired man's mouth, Genesis tilted his head to one side slightly and stuck his gloved hands into the pockets of his long coat, wrapping his attire around the lower half of his body slightly as if he were protecting himself from the wind. How to answer this now without being forced to fight? Sephiroth's departure was not part of procedure and fighting was now the last thing Genesis wanted to happen, especially since a second Light aura was heading their way as well as.... well... there was something else going on... Something he'd never felt before. Deciding to put this strange feeling aside for now, Genesis just smiled and shook his head from side to side slowly. "I am not here to protect the castle, nor am I here for you. This world needs to return to the Darkness... the balance is falling off scale and catastrophic consequences awaits if it isn't restored." The SOLDIER 1st Class said, pausing when the door to the throne room opened once more, this time a female figure making her presence know, walking confidently right up to Noctis and drawing her weapon, eager to fight it seemed.
Genesis said nothing, his eyes now fully focused on Lightning as he sized her up and down. She seemed tough. Confident. Experienced. Cold. Not too bright though, judging from the way her eyes seemed to shine with the intent to kill. Was this woman really allied with the Light? She had a strong heart of Light aura, but the eyes of a Soldier often told the true story. Curious... very curious indeed. Still not saying anything else for the moment, Genesis glanced over his shoulder looking back towards G Slayer, shaking his head at him to signal that he too was not to attack the woman. Not yet anyway. Perhaps negotiations could be completed without the need for bloodshed. His eyes returned to Noctic when hearing his little speech and he once again felt ashamed that the Light was acting in such a way. First with the female's body actions and now with this man's words? Why did people think the Darkness was the enemy when the Light acted in such ways? They ought to look in a mirror and fight their own demons before trying to stamp their mark on the worlds.
"Light and Dark... Good and Evil... Which do you think is the real enemy? I side myself with neither, I fight for neither, I respect neither. Until both sides of this war can see the threat each one brings, nothing shall ever be resolved." Genesis said, tilting his head towards Lightning before continuing. "Obverse. The woman here though as beautiful as she may be, has the smell of blood within her nose and the look of a murderer within her eyes. An aura of Light she may have, but when I stand here before you with no weapon drawn, who is the real enemy? I stand here before you as a simple man, provoking no threat, no malice, no danger to either of you. Yet she seems intent to remove my head from my shoulders as quickly as possible." Genesis paused for a moment, glancing back towards Noctis and watching him patiently for a moment. "If I had come to this world for you, Your Highness, then would I not have attacked you by now? And you say you're here to remove the invaders from this world? Then should you not remove her and yourself as well? Clearly you two and not from here much as I aren't either. No, I am here for the world and the world alone. It must be returned to the Darkness so the balance of Light and Dark can be restored. and I have no intention of spilling any blood on this day, especially when it is not needed."
Genesis turned around and took a few paces away from Noctis and Lightning, walking to G Slayers side where he then turned back around to view the two Light heroes. With his hands still in his coat pockets and weapon sheathed, would the Light disgrace themselves and attack an unarmed man? That wouldn't be very 'Light', would it? No emotion or expression was present on Genesis' face. He just looked slowly from Noctis to Lightning and back again, watching silently, patiently before finally speaking up again. He knew that his words would fall on deaf ears and that a fight was going to break out, it always did with these Light users, but it was worth a try to see if anyone around here, anyone at all, could see sense. "With each world the Light claims, you take one step closer to the inevitable destruction of all worlds. You fight the Darkness to protect the Light, the weak, the innocent. What when you snuff out every last speak of Darkness and throw the balance completely off the scale. Then what? I'll tell you what. The Light cannot exist without Darkness... destroying the Darkness means you'll destroy the Light and everyone and everything you want to protect, will die along with yourselves and all known existence. The chess board is wiped clean for a new game to start, only then you and I will not be the pawns." The Scarlet SOLDIER took a long deep breath in and exhaled out through his nose, eyes continuing to flick back and forth between the heroes. "Leave this world. Allow it to fall to the Darkness, where I promise no harm shall befall it's populace. A world called Traverse Town has already fallen to the Darkness by my hand and it's people continue their lives as if nothing had happened. I am not like the other Darkness users. Destruction and chaos does not run through my veins. I wish no harm on these people nor yourselves, but the balance must be retained. The Darkness cannot be destroyed. Please, leave this world."
