(OOC: I actually read that you closed the secret hallway to the Cornerstone, I just forgot about it when I was typing up my post, but you may have noticed I went back and edited my post of all mention of it. But perhaps you did the same, when you interpreted Seph left the room before Noctis came in, as I had Noctis notice him as he entered the room before he was removed from the raid. So if you can make the same courtesy, that would be great too. =D)
This had turned out to be rather unexpected.
As his navy blue eyes shifted from the Genesis with white hair and frayed features, noticing how he did nothing and was not as animated as the original, they glanced over to the spot where the man with the long, thigh-length hair was standing as he suddenly vanished. Leaving behind a colorful flash of dark energy and black feathers behind, Noctis tensed slighty as he anticipated that the man could have teleported to attack from behind, as he could do with his own powers. But as he glanced over his shoulder in looking for the man, he sensed the man had gone completely. So at least one of them had teleportation powers as he did... did they see the Light from the dead as well, he wondered? He would have to be sure to remember that he could be dealing with individuals who's powers rivaled his own and the people he had fought before.
Speak of the devil...
As he glanced behind him, he noticed two things. First of all, from the entrance he had come through himself, a familar face stepped through. "Lightning," he spoke her name fully in recognition, wondering what she was doing here. Had she come to assist him now he had helped her find her extended family, or now he was without allies come to finish him off? Secondly, he glanced over to the corner where a dark portal had opened, and out stepped a man in a hooded black cloak. His face was overshadowed by the hood and his cloak as raven as his own hair, but the visage of whom he resembled to Noctis as well as coming out of the darkness put him on edge. Who was this individual, and was he aligned with the same white-robbed man that had sabotaged his castle?
"Who are you?" he questioned tersely, glancing past Lightning to the mysterious stranger, not being able to help himself as he looked shyly away from the unknown void of the face veiled underneath the hood.
In this moment, he felt rather surrounded; a black-robbed man with a anonymous identity and a fierce solider who easily was angered at things he spoke on one side, and the two men in red in which one had already spoken to him of the death of hope and sudden cruelty to go on the other side. If they were all on the same side and were here to dispatch of him as a marked target, they could do so with a advantage, and he would have a very hard time of getting out alive. This was looking like a very bad situation indeed. Fate was a cruel mistress, perhaps as cruel as the goddess was, for giving the man before him audience and yet casting himself aside. He would say that it was without little or no reasoning or provacation, but Noctis had been inquiring about the legend of the goddess to her as he arrived, and she had vanished in a flash of light soon after.
A sign of guilt in fleeing, if he ever saw one.
But what happened next did surprise him, as Lightning ran up to him, and the hand he had gathered into a fist behind him gripped tightly as he forced himself to wait and see what she would do. He pictured himself in the same place Stella was, seeing him approach her, the same hesitancy in her heart to step forward and summon the full might of her weapon upon him. Stella had chosen to fight despite the reluctant kindness he had shown to her, but he remembered about the Hi-Potion he had given to Lightning, and the softened look of relief on her face when she realized she was united with friends. He decided to give her the benefit of the doubt in that split second of a moment and chose not to summon his own powers yet in restraint, but would he take that moment of oppotunity to take advantage to strike him down? And yet Noctis was right in reasoning she had less of a reason to than not being tolerant of a familiar face, offering assistance to him as she fell into place beside him.
"Do I really have a choice in the matter?" he answered her simply as he watched her draw Blaze Edge from her sheath, although the tone of voice was with a hint of amusement as a soft smile threatened to tug at the corner of his lips, his way of accepting Lightning to fight this time alongside him and the quiet prince contemplating that perhaps womankind were not completely against him after all.
With this he turned around completely again, a little confident he would be alright even if the man in the black-hooded cloak from behind attacked them, as Lightning had his back. He also swiveled fully around once more, ebon bangs swaying around to frame his face as he noticed the man in crimson before him signalling his partner to not attack, before he spoke. Perhaps he had his impressions of the man wrong if he was not attacking, or perhaps he was giving them a moment to hear him speak before he did so or to talk them down now the man with silver hair had left, but one thing was certain. He had been right in guessing the man's name was indeed Genesis, as the man did not acknowledge it was indeed his name, but he answered to the name and did not contridict the fact, either. He listened as he began to speak, and frowned slightly in both disapproval and afterthought at his choice of words, that he confirmed the goddess had indeed set him on this path.
If he was here to do as Noctis suspected, then it only confirmed moreso in his mind the goddess's intentions were more devious than her heavenly form of light suggested.
He awaited Genesis to claim he was here to claim the mark on his head, but he did not, instead answering directly he was not… and yet he was not here to safeguard the castle. Something else we was here for then, but what had the goddess instigated he do? Darkness, a balance and catastrophic results were elegant words that spilled forth from his mouth that he did not completely understand, but one word he was unfortunately familiar with. ”Darkness…?” he questioned softly as he looked to the side, memories flashing in his mind of the dark streets that were the ghost town of his kingdom, and the unknown sounds of beings with amber eyes moving in the darkness followed by screams in the night. That same darkness in the shape of odd fiends that had begun to attack the festival and it’s civilians he realized was the same creatures that had been writhing in the streets of his city, and ones he had no choice but to destroy on his path to get here.
”So, it was you… it’s because of you, these creatures are here.” he came to the conclusion, his furrowed brow creasing in disappointment even more than it was.
As Genesis launched into his oratory, Noctis held an arm out horizontally before lightning, palm facing towards her. ”Hold, Lightning. Let’s here what he has to say first.” he spoke quietly to her, not sure if she would listen or not, but hoped that his softer tone of reason would calm her as he imagined Stella’s voice would have. He lowered his arm to let the blood flow return normally to it, trusting Light would not push it aside in defiance for battle, but not risking pushing her by restraint even further. He remained open-minded as Genesis continued his long speech, scoffing silently as he complimented on Light’s beauty, and added in a hushed whisper, ”He seeks to gain your favor by complimenting what’s there.”. It was in explanation to Lightning if she had heard him, so as not to further provoke her malice.
He would let Lightning speak for herself about pre-emptively drawing her weapon, as she would most likely detest him for it, and she had a voice of her own anyway. But more than likely what we was about to say next, she could draw her point across from. ”We both may not be from this world, but even if this Darkness of yours needs to be restored to prevent some apparent cataclysm, there is one key difference between our ‘invasion’ and your own. And that our arrival did not bring in those creatures out there to this world.” he reminded the crimson warrior as he stepped back from them towards his white-haired doppleganger, not needing to gesture to get his point across as to what monsters he was referring to. He was a prince, and he was not unfamiliar to the practices of peaceful negotiation with the practice of a silver tongue. Perhaps they could persuade these men in trenchcoats to come to some sort of a compromise, and do what they came here to do in the first place to save lives, instead of having to resort to heated conflict because of a simple misunderstanding.
Noctis listened once more as the familiar stranger with the rapier continued his rational tyrade, wondering if he could make a tally for every time the man made mention of the words Light and Darkness, and a soft smile embraced his lips in confidence as he paused for a moment to make sure the man was finished. ”What exactly do you mean about a ‘balance’ and this seemingly advent end of the world? Be that as it may, you are going about this incorrectly. Back on my home world, my kingdom was besieged by forces under cover of darkness, with monsters rampaging the streets and civilians struck down in the crossfire. I did everything I could to stop the threat, as are our friends out there fighting those dark demons to prevent innocent lives from being lost… and yet, you preach about sparing them, when you are in here doing nothing to assist them?” he questioned critically. Genesis’s idealism of saving a civilization was comparable to Nero fiddling on his violin as Rome burned to the ground… whatever that comparison meant. He left those questions open-ended in the event perhaps Genesis, or even his silent partner, would answer them back. Maybe then they would gather some information on what was really going on without the cryptic debating going on, or even side with the soldiers if they could explain how taking this world for the ‘darkness’ was justified.
The prince stepped forward towards the throne and the partnered males, glancing back in afterthought at the two miniature thrones that would be unable to comfortably seat any of them, then back towards the men before him. He stopped after a few paces, his expression softened some in subconscious thought, but still stern enough in expression that he was indeed taking every word they uttered in serious contemplation. ”The true sense of the word invade is to enter without permission to cause trouble and/or harm, and we did enter this world with permission to attend the festivities outside peacefully, so we are not to blame here. We did come with the intention to stop this ‘darkness’ or whatever it is, true, but only because from experience it always seems to be the source of conflict... I can see now however it is the source of malice that cowers behind it that is real truth. Not everything is as black and white as you make it out to be. But if darkness is as innocent and endangered as you claim for it to be, then if we leave here, then you should have no problem whatsoever in leaving with us to destroy those foul beings that spawn from the shadows. If you do that and promise the safety of the civilians, then we could come to an agreement to welcome the darkness here. That is not so unreasonable a deal to offer, no?” he countered in offering. It was not a threat nor a command, as he did not summon his weapon, nor motioned for Lightning to make an attack. It was merely a suggestion, or counter-offer as it were, for if this Genesis really did not mean to draw blood, then he would call his bluff and see how far he would take the means to justify the end.
He couldn’t guarantee Light would grow impatient and attack, but he could at least come half-way and offer the olive branch if his counterpart from the goddess would do the same.

Lightning was more of a woman of action than she was one of words. Which is why she decided to draw her weapon almost immediately after arriving on the scene. In every other battle she had fought to preserve the light, they had begun to fight almost immediately. Why should this one be any different? It was the same thing, wasn't it? That was one thing she liked about helping out in these little fights, no one ever really gave her a hard time, and all that really happened was some fighting. That was what the former soldier had been expecting to encounter with this fight, but it seemed that he opponents were going to have different ideas. Well, at least the one guy with the red hair, who appeared to be calling the shots. She wasn't even sure if the other guy could even speak, or if he was just a flunky to the 'leader' man. Lightning just wanted to take them both down and move on, not spend her time babbling about utter nonsense. She was quite pleased when Noctis did not try and push her away though. She thought that he would try to be the 'tough guy' and try to handle this fight on his own. His response actually made Lightning smirk a bit.
"Of course you don't, I'm going to be helping out either way. Even heroes can't do everything alone." Lightning only wished that Snow would take this advice. At least Noctis didn't go around boasting about how he was 'the hero'. Lightning averted her attention away from Noctis back to the man who seemed to be talking about some sort of Goddess. What the hell was he talking about, and what relevance did this have to the fight? Lightning could feel her patience running short, and she moved one step forward to take a step, almost getting ready to attack. But then Noctis instructed her not to attack. Part of Lightning wanted to just ignore him and go for the attack, but part of her knew he was right. Lightning recalled when she first fought him, how he brought up the fact that Lightning only listened to herself, completely disregarding what others said. He was right about that, and it probably was one of her biggest weak points. Maybe she should take her own advice. Heroes couldn't do everything alone after all. She hesitantly lowered her weapon, her cold blue eyes locking onto Genesis, listening to him babble on.
His words made Lightning's grip on Blaze Edge tighten, nearly just going in for an attack. Who the hell did he think he was, acting like he knew her and what her motives were!? He didn't, the smoothtalker didn't know a damn thing about her. And what really angered her was that he was trying to act completely innocent, making her seem like the bad guy? Did he think it was alright to go turning worlds to Darkness, especially when this world was celebrating the return of light? It wasn't! The light had to outshine the Darkness, this so called 'balance' that he kept on bringing up meant nothing to her. She did not want balance, all she wanted was for the light to overpower the darkness and get rid of it once and for all. Though this probably would never happen, as the Darkness would probably always be present, she at least wanted the light to be the stronger force of the two of them. Just as Lightning was about to say something, Noctis spoke before her, countering with a long speech of his own. Both him and the crimson warrior appeared to be such smooth-talkers, while Lightning lacked this trait. She forced herself to remain quiet, though she knew this would not be easily done.
But when Noctis started to make deals with him, Lightning completely lost it. Was he going to just let this world fall to Darkness? What was the point of him being here? She didn't come her to make deals, she came here to fight for the light and to defend it as well. Striking deals was only going to cause issues, and she refused to have any part of that matter. Part of Lighting was unsure if this was just his way of perhaps trying to gain Genesis' trust, or maybe if he actually bought all of that garbage that he tried to tell them. But Lightning refused to believe all of that crap that Genesis had been babbling about. Maybe this was just her being too thick-headed, or maybe she was actually seeing past something that Noctis had overlooked. She doubted this was the case, seeing as Noctis was very intelligent. But she was no fool either. And to her, that deal just seemed so stupid and foolish. She could not let it stand. She turned over to her companion. "Why are you making deals? You can't trust anyone when you're on a battlefield. How do you know that he is not just going to trick you, and summon more of those creatures afterthe ones have been destroyed? You don't know! I came here to protect and preserve the Light, not to make deals and allow the Darkness to stand. The two of them need to be taken down, I cannot let this world fall to Darkness...I just thought that you and I were on the same plage." Lightning said the last part rather quietly. Her eyes moved away from Noctis, back to her two opponents. She couldn't stand waiting much longer, she just had to attack. The Light had to be preserved!

The disappearance of Sephiroth did little to him. The motion to not attack, however, did. The Copy remained silently standing in place while the others were conversing amongst each other. The G Slayer did not exactly follow on what was happening as none of the words spoken did anything to him. When the door opened once more for a fourth person to enter the room and to replace Sephiroth, again he got the signal to remain on 'stand-by'. Well, that was a phrase you could call it in this situation. He was not to attack and since he would be little use in a conversation, he would simply be standing there like some sort of decoration until he can remove someone's head. Perhaps a guardian was something he could be considered as as well.
His master started some sort of speech towards the two and the G Slayer tried to listen somewhat, but the words did little to him. The man that had come spoke a lot as well, which appeared to be some sort of long conversation between the two men. The Copy seemed to be ignored for the most part, which he did not care about as he kept an eye on the woman, who was neither very talkative. When the woman finally burst out a lot of words to her 'companion', the G Slayer noticed the woman was planning to attack. The Copy remained still silent and if required, would defend Genesis or himself if the woman tried anything.
[OOC: Blarghleness~ Crap post. :S Also, I appear to be skipped, but I don't really mind. My mind is kind of empty right now when knowing on what more I could do with the Copy. Just stand there and look pretty, that's all I see. =P]

((OOC: I was about to poke out that G Slayer has been skipped, but he still got a post in so no harm done right? Is the posting order now- Gen, Noc, Light then Slayer? o.O)) This situation wasn't going to be as difficult as he first thought, but as expected there was always going to be someone or something trying to make things more awkward. Those who don't listen, those who won't listen and those who only speak with their weapons. This 'Lightning' as Noctis had spoke a moment ago, seemed to be the spanner thrown into the cogs, jamming everything up and ruining someones day to a great extent. Yet Genesis wasn't one to allow his emotions to get the better of him. Firstly, he was incredibly intelligent and knew that he wasn't like the other Darkness users. Malice, chaos, causing death... there were not running through his veins and was reserved more as a back-up then as a frontal attack. It's just a shame that only Angeal and perhaps the now departed Sephiroth knew. What Lightning said made sense. Neither of the heroes knew of Genesis and what was stopping him from playing tricks on them both now? The fact that he had yet to pull any pranks or attacks yet, maybe?
However, there was one word that left the Princes mouth that intrigued the SOLDIER more so then the inevitable attacks from Lightning- and that word was 'creatures'. What was he talking about? What creatures? Genesis actually risked looking away from the female warrior to glance around himself in search for any other presences within the throne room by both looking visually and by using his senses to try and detect any other auras. After a moment thought, he ended up glancing back at Lightning, keeping his eyes locked onto her while speaking up, mainly towards Noctis. "You mentioned 'creatures'. Forgive me for asking, but what are you talking about? What 'creatures'? I only have two allies right now, one being the silver-haired man who you saw leave earlier and this guy here..." Genesis said, flicking the thumb of his right hand in G Slayer's direction before returning his gloved hand into the pocket of his long scarlet coat. His bright blue eyes remained locked on Lightning though, staring at her with no expression leaving his bright orbs. He was just watching her like he was a statue. She was going to attack, regardless of what was going to happen, he could just feel it- see it on her face.
It was only when Noctis asked about what he meant by the Light and Darkness, did Genesis finally peel his gaze away from the female warrior and look upon the Prince himself. Why was he the only one who knew of this? All the Darkness users wanted to destroy the Light and all the Light users wanted to destroy the Darkness. War, death, misery... it was everywhere, on both sides of the war, both sides of the coin. Neither side in the war had the right to call itself a Hero or Light when they both acted very much the same way. Why was everyone so blissfully unaware of the dangers that loomed just over the horizon? Perhaps Genesis himself wasn't making any sense? Maybe it was Genesis who didn't know anything? Could the Goddess have given him false information? However, Lightning was starting to bother him now and not wanting to run the risk of having her screw everything up, Genesis glance at G Slayer and whispered something into his ear, before tilting his head in Lightning's direction. "She's going to ruin everything. I do not want to loose this world due to her incompetence. Keep her entertained for a while so I can speak to the male, but do NOT attack him." He whispered, barely audible.
Genesis then turned back to Noctis and gave him a subtle smile, before tweaking his head off to the right, motioning for the Princes to follow him. "Your Highness, may I speak to you in private for a moment? I shall explain the worlds situation in more detail for you. Then I'll see what I can do about whatever these 'creatures' are you mentioned." Genesis requested, taking a couple of steps backwards before walking behind the G Slayer off to the wall on right side of the throne room. What reaching it, he turned around and kept his eyes upon the Prince, wondering if he was going to follow or disgrace himself and attack the G Slayer. Genesis was still ready to continue peaceful negotiations, but he knew for a fact that G Slayer wasn't interested just as much as Lightning wasn't. Having those two play together would be interesting to watch, mainly for the Scarlet SOLDIER to see how strong his Clone had grown and so that the G Slayer would keep the female warrior busy and stop her from attacking himself.
((OOC: This is a bit lame, I'm sorry and I'm sure I've missed out some pieces here and there. I've been incredibly ill lately and still not fully recovered.))

(OOC: Sorry, post is short because I didn't realize I had to post until last minute.)
There was a harsh questioning from Light about his offer, and the Prince found himself unable to answer straight away at first. Yes, it was true, he barely knew Genesis and there was no reason to trust him. Especially when he proclaimed he was going to have darkness take over this world, the same darkness that had consumed his kingdom, the same darkness which spawned those vile beasts. But the same could be said of Lightning as well, he wasn't one hundred per cent sure he could trust her. She had attacked him before, she had allied herself with the princess from his world, Stella also attacking him even if against her own volition. The only difference was now, in which Lightning had actually listened to him and even though looking to tear some throats out with her gunblade weapon unsheathed, had chosen not to attack.
She claimed she was going to help him, even if she was not the hero she had meant in working together with others. The brother of Genesis, in which Noctis was going to label him from now on as the most likely conclusion, was in his sights now and continued to remain deathly silent. It seemed Genesis was running the show, but as the man began to speak it was in the form of an innocent question at what he meant by 'creatures'. "They come in various forms I've seen so far, but these fiends all have black bodies, amber eyes, and continue to emerge from the shadows of dark energy at a astonding rate. I don't know what kind of monster they are, but they seem to be coming from the darkness you claim to be bringing to this world, so the only logical conclusion is that darkness is not the natural state of this world." he replied in explanation, perhaps a little in bias, some of the anger of the same thing happening on his world seeping in his tone slightly. But he was only trying to state why the darkness seemed to be the problem here, and why this 'light' was so willing to strike at it to protect the innocent civilians, so perhaps Genesis might see the harm he was causing if he wasn't aware of the creatures. And that was also a big 'if', as Lightning could be correct, and feigning innocence.
Only then did he turn to Lightning to answer her, as Genesis turned away to whisper something to his brother."Lightning, what do you know of this 'Light' and 'Darkness'? I don't trust this 'Darkness' of his either, but if we could get him and his friend to help us get rid of the shadow fiends, then we can keep the civilians safe. That's the important thing. Besides, if it turns out he doesn't help protect them or summoned the shadow fiends in the first place, then we've called his bluff, and we can force them out of this world without hesitation. Remember that we are guests in this kingdom, we don't want to look like we're the enemy here, but if they attack us without provocation then we are acting in self-defense... let them have it." he hushed quietly to her in turn, leaning in a bit to her so Genesis and his look-alike could not hear them either. He leaned back as he stepped aside away from her, looking at Genesis now, listening to his offer for them to step aside and discuss things privately. Why? Just for him to be informed about the state of the worlds? Didn't he just explain to them all this nonsense about maintaining a balance to stop a horrific armageddon?
Slowly, he closed his eyes, and shook his head. It was not a good idea to leave Light and the doppleganger alone, as she would more likely attack him without provocation, only proving to those who called this world the truth that their side had started the violence first without any proof the opposition was guilty. "No. Anything you have to say to me, re-stating the 'condition' of this world or otherwise, you can also say in front of Light. I'm sure you have nothing to hide from her she won't attack you for, as she has as much right to hear the 'situation' as I do." he politely refused, looking away from her to Genesis so he didn't have to face any look of surprise that he shyly respected her. Perhaps Genesis felt his words were wasted on her because she did not reply to his provocation, that she looked just as guilty as his side for having her weapon out to indicate aggression. He remembered what Light had said - even heroes can't do everything alone - and he would honor that.
"Genesis, state this world's 'situation' if you have not already done so, but keep this in mind. The creatures must be treated as a force of hostile invasion, so as the active monarch within this kingdom I will decree this. Either we work together to stop them and this 'Light' and 'Darkness' can co-exist on this world peacefully... or as the instigator of the darkness spawning them, will of the goddess or not, we will have no choice but to abolish you from these chambers... by force, if necessary."

After Voting on the winner, we had chosen that the Light had won this battle. If you disagree with the discussion, please inform Larxene or Selena with a well stated PM listed why you disagree.
The Light has captured Disney Castle!
Since Noctis Lucis Caelum, Lightning Farron, and Lexaeus have won, they are allowed an upgrade of one ability or one modification to his powers and will be notified. Requests are to be PMed to Vincent. Congrats!
