Two people enter from opposite sides of the room. The room just screams romance in every way possible. It is huge, colored solely in red and pink. The room contains various sofas and loveseats, as well as red roses gallore. And there is soft music playing, perfect for dancing.
It is clear that the two people did not plan on coming here, but were sent here. Baby Cupid remains hidden above, and after taking notice of the two people now in the room, he fires an individual arrow at the gentleman, then the lady. Both of them are now temporarily in love with eachother. [/color][/i]

Celes walked into a room that was decorated to be romantic in everyway. Reds, pinks, roses, and sofas and loveseats to share. To top this off, there was soft music playing in the background, making Celes wonder if she had made a wrong turn somewhere. The ex-general was on the edge of leaving when there was a sudden change in her mood as a warm feeling filled her heart. Deciding to stay instead, she sat on the sofa and waited. For what you ask? The love her life of course.

It was that time of year again, the time when people seemingly fell in love left and right, where hearts bonded closer than ever before, and the time that some people got "lucky". That time was Valentine's day and it was a holiday that Felix wasn't very fond of at all surprisingly enough. Like a sizable portion of the human population, the freelancer felt Valentine's day was nothing but a sham, a hallmark holiday to get naive men and women to spend tons of money and shower their lover with gifts. While the red-head was a fan of free stuff, he wasn't a fan of free stuff without a real reason aside from "Oh it's Valentine's day and I guess we're together so why don't we give each other chocolates or something?". Not only that, but he was irritated that it hadn't been his idea to make such a holiday so he could get a cut of the profit that was made on said day. 'I wonder how much just the average flower shop makes,' he thought briefly as he gave himself a once over with his attire for the evening. Despite his reservations for the holiday, he had received a mysterious invite to a party of some sorts and it had noted to wear something in good taste and the first thing that had come to the freelancer's mind was a suit. Indeed, he was wearing a simple black suit that had buttons on the wrists and a couple of front pockets that were hardly noticeable. His pants were much the same, very simple in design but looked rather elegant. As for his undershirt, the freelancer opted for a black white striped collar shirt with the collar tucked in to finish his little ensemble. "Damn do I look good," the freelancer commented as he then walked outside his apartment, a brisk wind passing him by in the still rather cold month of February... good thing this rendezvous wasn't far. X---5 minutes later---X The freelancer appeared at the party, coming through double doors as his eyes quickly traveled over the scenery. The color was a bit jarring, a little too much red & pink for his tastes even if it was Valentine's day. Furniture was also a prominent feature in the room, many different couches and seats available for one to take a load off in. He began to walk toward a cluster of furniture, his eyes lulling around dully as he heaved heavily, his palm touching lightly upon his face as he shook his head. 'It's anyone's wonder this party is lame as hell, it's just another excuse for people to waste money... I'm out of here,' the freelancer thought as his feet stopped for a moment, his eyes falling upon another female having already taken a seat on one of the many sofas. As his eyes fell upon her, a sudden prick was felt on his lower region before he could turn to leave, a sudden rush of emotions flooding him. As if moving on it's own, his body moved over to the girl he had been looking at only a moment ago with a lifeless stare, now head over heels for her. His right hand extended itself to her as he grinned lightly, his eyes now shining more radiantly than the sun, "Hi there... care to dance?" OOC: Suit image

Celes was sitting on the sofa quietly waiting until she heard the door open on the other side. Bright blue eyes looked up as a young man dressed in a suit walked in. At first the young man didn't seem interested in her, but the young lady didn't care. Her heart was beating fast as she watched the young man from her seat. He was a good looking young man and with that suit on he looked even more charming. It was a dream come true for Celes; however, despite her feelings, she managed to keep a calm appearance as she watched the young man. While she did not know him or understood why she had fallen for a complete stranger, she felt like she could pour her heart out to the young man with ease. She only hoped that the young man felt the same. Her wish was granted as his eyes looked over at her. He walked over and spoke to her. His voice was sweet as honey and sent her heart fluttering over large fields of love. "I'd love to," she said in a soft voice before taking his hand and letting him lead into the dance. ((She's dressed like this btw: Dress.))

"I'd love to," were the words that left the woman's lips, Felix happy to hear those softly spoken words but also wondering how those lips tasted. His thoughts didn't dwell on it too long for her hand grasped his soon after, a touch as soft as silk as he lead her over to the dance floor. He turned around to face her, his eyes now glancing upon her features and the dress she had taken to this little shindig. It was a white dress that was very simple in design much like his own attire and curved naturally to her figure. His unoccupied left hand eagerly went to her left hip as his right hand held hers high as he began motion the steps for the waltz. And so they began to dance, Felix making sure to step with the appropriate distance to avoid stepping on her dress. He had watched his feet for moment because of this but after he had gotten the feel for the distance his eyes traveled upward. His eyes quickly locked with the cerulean orbs of his dance partner, her eyes shining vividly and calling out to him almost like a lighthouse called out for a sailor.
'And I thought love at first sight didn't exist,' the freelancer thought as he spun his partner round, finishing off their waltz as the music came to a stop. Another song begun to play, an even slower song than the last as his other hand dropped to the lady's hip of which he still hadn't gotten the name of. He began to motion for what was the standard response to a slow song as his eyes continued to gaze into hers,
"It's really strange... I don't even know your name and my heart is beating faster than a bongo drum," he began, a small "heh" escaping his lips before he continued, "and cue the really corny metaphor... I apologize I'm not very often the poetic type but I felt like taking a whack at it,"

As the love of her life took her to the dance floor, Celes was in a daze of happiness. As he placed his hand on her hips, Celes moved her arm and hand to rest on his gently as her other hand was held higher by her partner. She followed her partner's lead, not minding that he had to look down at his feet for a bit for the dance. In that brief moment that her partner was distracted by the dance, Celes's mind wondered when she had learned to dance such as she was doing now. She most certainly didn't remember ever taking training for such a thing, but perhaps lessons didn't matter. With love everything was possible, right?
Celes's thoughts came to halt as her eyes met with the eyes of her partner. The love within them swallowed her up like an ocean of sweet nothingness and for a moment looking into those eyes was all Celes needed. As the song stopped and changed to a much slower one. Celes moved her hands to rest lightly on her partner's shoulders as he began the next dance. As they danced her partner spoke.
"It's really strange... I don't even know your name and my heart is beating faster than a bongo drum," he said before apologizing for his stab at being poetic. Celes smiled gently at this.
"I think that was a good start," she responded, wishing she could say more than that to make her love happy and wishing she could tell him how much the simple words had filled her with such joy; however, no other words came from the young lady that was not completely use to such a situation as this one. Then feeling a bit silly for not introducing herself before, she said,
"My name is Celes. And you?"

“My name is Celes… and you?” the woman asked, snapping Felix out of the trance he had been just staring at her. His cheeks stained a light crimson, embarrassed that he was so engrossed with her features that he had barely even caught what she had said. A nervous chuckle escaped his lips as he looked away for but a moment, wondering in that second of shyness what to say. Normally he’d respond with his full name, occupation, and an insult of some kind but that was when he was in the middle of a fight or something. At the present time though, he was dancing with a girl that was the first to make him feel something so foreign and answering like that could destroy the evening. If he said the wrong thing it could ruin the moment they were sharing and stop this feeling that was gushing out. “The name’s Felix, Felix Maximilian,” he responded, having regained his cool as he turned his head back. Once again his eyes were drawn toward her sapphire eyes, wondering why the hell he was so infatuated with the girl. He wasn’t particularly anymore fond of blondes than brunettes or what have you, he was more of a “glasses” guy when it came to girls (assuming the girl had glasses), he was a fan of aggressive girls that came onto him and flaunted what they had, and a lot of other traits that Celes just didn’t seem to have. Yet here he was, not able to peel his eyes away from her and his hands didn’t want to let her go. He grabbed her a bit tighter, pulling her in ever so slightly, and his breath a tad choppy. He couldn’t explain this feeling but he sure as hell didn’t want it to go away.
The air between the two was rather silent; Felix not saying a word nor his partner (or rather not that he would be catch being so intoxicated with her eyes anyway). Perhaps their feelings were growing stronger without any words being spoken; maybe they were talking with their hearts but with each passing moment, with each step, and with each breath the silence was killing him. Eventually he cracked, Felix always a talkative type, a man who enjoyed conversation and while he could dance with her endlessly, he wanted to say how he felt. As the song came to a climax, his hands pulled in her closely again as a soft smile curved against his lips, “This is terribly ironic,” he started, a small chuckle escaping his lips, “I came into this party thinking it was going to be a bust and that I’d leave after getting some free food. I came in here skeptical about what this day meant to most people, thinking it was just a sham to get loose pocketed people to spend money on people they wanted to get with. I thought I’d leave this party and not even glance back… I’m really happy I looked back,,” he paused for a minute, his cheeks burning crimson once more as he swiped his thumb past the tip of his nose before returning his hand to her hip. ‘I just hope she feels the same.’

((I'm so sorry for being a terrible date. I'm pretty bad when it comes to this sort of stuff XD. And no worries.))
Celes saw her partner's cheeks go slightly red as she asked his name. She had to hold back a light chuckle as she watched her adorable partner, try to regain his composure once more. While under normal circumstance, Celes would've found such behavior from a man as a sign of being weak or unfocused--things that annoyed her to no end-- she found that she did not mind it all coming from her partner. It only made him more loveable than before. As he took a moment to regain his composure, Celes simply adored him as she took in his handsome feature. She was lucky to have found someone this charming and good looking to boot. She wondered if anyone in the world compared to him. No…no one could.
As her loved one spoke his name, Celes took it in and let it melt in her mind like chocolate. Felix. What a wonderful name, she thought as she looked back into his eyes. Those wonderful and deep eyes. She was so lost in those eyes that she didn’t notice his grip tighten or the fact that he drew her nearer. While she would’ve never allowed a man she did not know or love to do such a thing to her, with Felix she did not care. She was so head over heels for the guy and confused that it would’ve driven her insane; however, right now she did not want the moment to end. She wanted it to last forever.
While there was silence between them, Celes was content just to be in the arms of her love looking into his eyes. As she was pulled closer and a moment of silence of passed, the silence was broken by her love's sweet voice and the gentle smile he wore. He told her his feelings for her causing her pale cheeks to glow slightly as her heart fluttered with joy. While half her mind was screaming for her to stop and think for a moment, her heart overrode her logic. Without thinking she closed the distance between them and leaned her head gently against Felix shoulder as they continued to dance. She closed her eyes listening to his heartbeat content to be close to him. She was silent for a moment before speaking.
“You know. I didn’t want to be here either,” she said softly. “But the moment you walked through the door, I thought that staying was not such a bad idea,” she paused and looked up into those blue eyes and smiled slightly at Felix. “I’m glad you looked back too and I am even happier we were able to meet, Felix.” she finished.

As Celes had finished her response, Felix’s eyes finally noticed her head leaning against his chest, specifically over his heart. Once again his cheeks turned a light red hue, not entirely used to the whole “love” thing. Sure he had a family that “loved” him but that was immensely different from this feeling, as well as any of the feelings attached to his relationships with previous women. He had certainly liked all of the girls before but none of them had given him this sort of high, this sort of euphoric emotion, or make him so nervous to not do anything stupid. He wanted to make Celes heart flutter with every word he spoke, with every step he walked, and with every breath he took… and still no explanation. Why did he want to do all this? Was it just a whim that happened to pass him by when he had looked at her? Was it the air that made him so vulnerable to opening his heart and letting her peer inside? Or was it that prick he felt earlier that somehow had this adverse effect? Whatever the case was, he felt that a night like this may not happen again nor would he see Celes again. He had never seen her before so it was safe to assume she was from another world and while being a freelancer did give him liberty to move about whenever he pleased, it also put in danger anyone near him. If he wanted to be with her all he’d do is put her life on the line and even if she was the stronger type, he couldn’t even think of letting her in the line of fire. Indeed, he wanted to let her into his heart but not his world, nor would he allow anyone precious to him there. ‘Is that why I haven’t been able to fall in love before tonight; because I’m scared of the dangers that come with my profession? That at any moment they could be held hostage or killed if they happen to be with me at the wrong time?’ he thought briefly, the song soon ending afterwards. Much like before a new song started playing but his attention wavered as he held his date’s hand, leading her over to a balcony to instead stare at the night sky. “Sorry just felt like looking at the stars for a bit,” he stated as his eyes looked over to her briefly with that soft smile of his. His hand intertwined with hers soon let go, as his mind went back to those dismal thoughts for a moment. His eyes lost their luster for a moment and a small frown soon curved against his lips. ‘Why am I a freelancer again?’ he thought before sighing heavily, trying to push the thoughts away. Yes, the numerous scary thoughts as to what would happen to her if he did stay with her like he desired to. “My apologies just needed a breath of fresh air for a moment,” he started as he turned back to her, a sheepish grin replacing his frown as he scratched the back of his head lightly, “at any rate let’s get back to the party!” he finished, trying to finish with an air of excitement to try and forget about those grim thoughts completely. ‘Just for this one night I want to be in love.’

((Cool. ^^))
Celes continued to lean against Felix’s chest as they continued dance. Her eyes were closed as she simply enjoyed the moment. She let the questions of love go for a second, but then her mind started to wonder about who she had been before this moment. Before that warmth had unexpectedly appeared in her heart and she had fallen head over heels for this man. Had there been someone else she had been in love with at one point? Or had she always kept her heart shut from everyone until this moment? It was true that she had friends, but had anyone made her feel this happy and scared all at once? She couldn’t think of anyone to match the description.
In any case as she danced, she began to wonder why she had kept her heart locked away in ice, only allowing a few to enter it. Was she scared? Scared to lose them like she had lost her grandfather? Was she afraid of the pain of loss, betrayal…or was it something more? As they danced, she opened her eyes as she thought about this. Here she was in the arms of a stranger that she did not know and yet had fallen for him as soon as she saw him. She knew somewhere deep down inside that they were fated to meet only this once and after the time was over, they’d be separate again. Like she had been torn from her friends, she was sure the black holes would not allow her to keep this happiness, but she hoped that for just a bit longer the holes would stay away. She wanted this moment to last as long as it could. She was very sure that she would never get another chance such as this.
When the song ended and a new one began instead of leading her into another dance, Felix took her hand and led her out onto the balcony, saying that he wanted to look at the stars. While he had a smile and they held hands, Celes was content, but when her hand was released and a frown appeared on her loved one’s face, Celes’s joy faded a bit as she wondered what was wrong. Had she done something to upset him or was something on his mind? A worried expression filled the young lady’s face as she titled her head slightly at him, trying to get him to make eye contact with her once more. When he finally did make eye contact, he apologized and gave her a slight smile.
“It’s alright,” Celes said doing her best to seem reassuring and comforting. She did not wish for her love to be in despair. She wished for him to be happy…happy with her. When he spoke again with a bit more happiness in his voice, Celes relaxed a bit, trying her best to let the worry go. She chuckled a bit at the comment and nodded. “Yes, let’s do so,” she said respond back happily.

The words from Celes gave a bit of comfort to Felix's brooding mind as he gave her a quick wink and grin. Much like her, he was beginning to feel that they would probably never see each other after this night and if that were truly the case it would be smart to make the most of it. With his mind now focusing on this single night, Felix lead his date by the hand once more into the ballroom, spinning himself and let his hands rest on her arms. His more charming smile returned as he gave her face a quick gander again, making sure that it was worth what he was about to do right now to make this night a little more memorable. 'Yeah I'd say so,' he thought before letting his lips move to speak to her once more, “I'm going to try and make this night the best you've ever had starting with me probably embarrassing myself quite badly. I'm not much of a singer but there is one song that comes to mind that I think I can pull off and sing for yah... plus these slow songs are starting to grate on my nerves a bit, need something with a little more tempo,” he spieled, bringing her to the front of the stage as he stepped onto it himself. The band that was playing were getting ready to begin another song, Felix grabbing the mic out of the hand of who seemed to be the singer. He lunged at Felix in attempt to get it back, the freelancer taking a small step back as he chuckled lightly turning over to the band. “Yo can you guys play a song for me? I'm trying to make this night one my date will never forget,” he started, the band a little skeptical at first before he flashed his wallet from his front pants pocket, a shared nod being their reply. The singer walked off stage with a frown, agreeing with the notion for a bit of cash for taking a five minute break. With that, Felix explained what song he wanted played, a song that the band was familiar with fortunately enough. His attention then turned back to his date, his free hand extending it's index finger toward her followed by a wink and a grin, “This is about the only song I can sing but I'm dedicating it to the most beautiful and charming girl at this party, Celes! I do hope you enjoy it!” he proclaimed using the mic as he began to tap his right foot getting into the rhythm of the song. Girl, you wanted To shut it all off and make a run for the door It's so hard to make it For every inch we get we need a mile more
But there is always so much distance can't but feel it somehow But you have never ever felt it like you feel it right now I'm closin' off inside and, oh, it's only just started And you can't be close enough unless I'm feeling your heartbeat
All of your love Was all that I needed All of your love Was all that I needed
Girl, what are you doin now? And are you going out? Or has your life shut down? Are you there? This string keeps cutting out I feel like freaking out but we keep reaching out
But there is always so much distance can't but feel it somehow But you have never ever felt it like you feel it right now I'm closin' off inside and, oh, it's only just started And you can't be close enough unless I'm feeling your heartbeat
All of your love Was all that I needed All of your love Was all that I needed
Girl, it's hard enough Just to move around It's hard enough Just to move around
I wanted you, oh, I wanted you Oh, I wanted you to move Oh, I wanted you, girl, I wanted you to move Around, around
All of your love Was all that I needed All of your love Was all that I needed
All of your love Was all that I needed All of your love Was all that I needed And with that he finished, panting a bit heavily not having sang for quite some time. His eyes trailed over to Celes as he walked off stage, throwing the mic over to the singer without any real aim. No his thoughts were only on her and his hands soon grabbed her, pulling her into him as he held her tightly. His grin didn't fade as he rested his forehead against hers, locking eyes with her again as his breath bared down on her. “How was that?”

At Felix’s wink and grin, Celes could only smile happily, relieved that he was happy once more. As he led her by the hand back into the ballroom, he spun getting a light chuckle from the young lady. As he laid his hands on her arms, flashing her a smile that made her heart flutter, she tilted her head curiously as she watched him look over her once more. Just what was her loved one planning? As if coming to some conclusion, Felix led her over to the stage, speaking as he went. He told her that he wanted to make this night memorable for her before going on about embarrassing himself. Celes’s smile only grew as she became amused at this. What on earth could he possible be planning that it would require him to embarrass himself?
As Felix spoke of a song he wanted to sing for her, Celes’s smile faded a bit as surprise crossed her face. A song? For her? She had never had such a gift before from anyone. Sure, she had sung for people, but to be sung to? Never. As Felix worked with the band, Celes took the moment to compose herself once more. Once she had regained her composure, she looked up at the stage just in time to see the singer moving off the stage looking a bit grumpy; however, her attention returned to the stage once more as Felix pointed his index finger at her and gave her a wink and grin once more.
As Felix spoke about her being beautiful and charming, Celes’s felt heat rush to her cheeks as they glowed a slight red. She wasn’t all that now was she? In any case, her attention returned to Felix as he began to sing. As she listened, she couldn’t help, but find some truths to the song. She had wanted to run when she first came here, but didn’t and…There was a distance between the two in a way. Even though they were in the same room now, how long would that last? At first, Celes felt sadden at the thought of being separated from Felix, but then it was washed away as she listened to him express his feelings for her through the song. The phrase: All of your love was all that I needed, remained in her head.
How true that was. His love was all that she needed. When the song ended and he looked at her once more, Celes was hypnotized once more. As he pulled her close, holding her tightly as his breath bared down upon her and his forehead touched hers, he asked a question. With a gentle smile, Celes wrapped her arms around his neck as she kept eye contact with him.
“I found it to be a perfect song,” she responded softly before being swallowed up by those eyes once more.

As he held her in his arms and flashed that smile that seemed to show nothing but confidence, the freelancer was in fact quite nervous. He had never done that for a girl before, running up stage to proclaim his love for her that would probably only last as long as the night did. Not only that, but he had done it in song as if he was in some movie or he had the singing prowess of Michael Jackson and could just do so whenever he wanted. His brain was already going over his performance himself, noting the notes he missed, the times where his breath ran short and he had to breathe before a break in the song and a few other amateur mistakes. He wasn’t expecting a yes; in fact he was pretty sure he’d get a big fat no and perhaps a slap across the face for being so bold yet at the same time he didn’t care. Assuming he never saw her again (which was very likely), he wanted to make sure that he stayed in her memory and she would never forget the night that she spent with Felix Maximilian, #1 Freelancer with a 100% success rate no matter the job even stealing hearts (metaphorically speaking of course). So when she pulled him in closer by his neck returning that strong gaze right back at him, he knew he was on the right track to making that memory.
Suddenly, the crowd gathered around them erupted in applause for Felix’s performance; probably more so for his courage to do such a thing then his actual singing ability, but none the less appreciated by the red-head. Accompanied with the applause a woman had stood out, her voice booming as she gave Felix an order. “Go on and take the plunge! Kiss her already you sissy!” she shouted, her boyfriend soon coming over to calm her down as an argument between them started about how unromantic their relationship was. Regardless, Felix didn’t want to disappoint her, nor the crowd that seemed to want the same thing and without hesitation his right hand went to her chin, cupping it in between his index finger and thumb. “I love you,” he stated softly as his lips pressed against hers taking the plunge as his mind went blank. He wasn’t sure how long he had kept that kiss going but it was safe to assume quite a while since he had pulled back short of breath. Slowly he’d pull back, his soft smile returning as the crowd erupted in another round of applause, Felix’s attention only being given to Celes despite his urge to give his audience an encore immediately thereafter. “Damn…” he started, inhaling quickly before continuing, “you really know how to leave a guy breathless don’t ya?”

Celes didn’t know how long she was staring into those deep eyes before the smile of confidence Felix wore appeared again. While she did not know he was reflecting on his performance of the song, she didn’t mind his nervousness at all. She had found the song wonderful despite the little mistakes here and there. It was a sweet gesture she would remember (even if it was only for this one night). Her attention was slightly pulled away from Felix as the crowd around them erupted into cheers and applause for Felix’s performance. As one girl shouted for Felix to kiss her before getting into an argument with her own loved one, Celes smiled slightly at the thought. A kiss… That would be perfect ending.
As her attention returned to Felix, she felt his hand gently cup her chin as he whispered the words, “I love you,” before their lips met and pressed together. At first Celes was in shock, but then she closed her eyes and let her mind slip into the moment of that kiss. She didn’t count how long the kiss lasted nor did she care. She was so wrapped up in joy that she didn’t want the moment to end. When they finally pulled away from each other, she was slightly out of breath from the rush of the moment. As Felix made a comment, she smiled at him as she gave him a shorter kiss on the lips.
“You’re not too bad yourself,” she said to him with a playful wink at her partner. The crowd surrounding the pair didn’t bother Celes at all for she had blocked them out. Despite the cheering and so on within the room to Celes it only seemed that she and Felix existed in this space.
