The weather outside only seeming to fly by as white sound, the boy knight focused on the battle alone, nerves ready to move his body and limbs back or forward to evade or attack the enemy at a moment's notice. He second-guessed his opponent's invitation to attack him for a 'free move' to be some sort of trick, the first guess being he was doing it on purpose for some reason, and so he moved into his assault with caution. Choosing to first use a move where the best defense was a good offense and vice-versa, he twisted his body into his Wind Shear attack to instantly attack the other youth with nigh-instant slashes all within the breath of a nanosecond between each hit. The resulting hits would create energy flickering off his opponent as it made contact, and drew it into himself as the blade hurricane acted like an unplugged sink to water, it's small Absorb effect building his own inner strength. The resulting final blow would also knock the leather-clad adolescent backwards away from the Warrior of Light, and did so as it pushed him back into the edge of the balcony. Which is what Onion Knight had hoped for, as pushing him over the edge would have been helpful but lucky, and he opened his eyes to stop his dizzy equilibrium as he slowed down out of the sword spiral.
The other kid hadn't realized just how much trouble he was asking for, even if he had nodded to indicate he was 'honorable' in giving him a free hit. The gesture was probably to demoralize him for the fact he was a kid, or at least much younger than himself, and it would have angered the Onion Knight if he had been listening to his head like he normally did. But right now he wasn't, and was simply listening to his heart, riding on impulses and adrenaline in the heat of battle to make up what felt needed to survive. If he had been, he would have been stuck on the fact of what his antagonist thought of him - but he didn't. He instead rode on reflexes into his next move, spinning his glistening gold Onion Sword to cast the mighty Firaga spell.
If the other kid had intended for another free shot to get in or not, it didn't seem to matter as the force of the blast hit the young man dead-on as it arched upwards, blasting him backwards over the railing and onto the floor below. Feeling his heartbeart slow down in pulse as he stepped forward quickly to see the result of the enemy landing below, and feeling his aura was still there so it wasn't another of his tricks, he only just noticed as things began to slow around him that it had started to rain heavily outside. Rain tapped and doused the windows outside, cascading the dirty glass ballroom windows in streaks of gathered rain droplets, and the domed roof above was dwarfed by a different roar of a deluge of milliliters of rain bucketing down on the castle rooftops. All of this added a eerily ambiance, instead of it's usual calm and sometimes comforting atmosphere when hearing rain inside, especially when thunder and then lightning was added moments later after the sound of maniacal laughing. Green orbs looked down upon the rebellious teen scorched and smoked from the Firaga spell on the ornate dance floor, and while it would have provided a disturbing scene to anyone else witnessing the deranged mentality of the silver-haired youth, the emerald eyes were only filled with pity and disappointment.
While he was silent, he had heard the loud thud, and the wince coming from the boy to tell him that the punishment he had received wasn't what he found amusing. It also allowed him to hear what the other male had to say while he took yet another pause in battle, and shook his own head from side-to-side in disgrace at the fallen warrior. He simply didn't get it, and it was rather shameful. He allowed himself to keep still and resume his normally relaxed posture, arms by his sides, as the youth continued his tirade. That was until he stepped over to the balcony edge and stepped up onto the stone railing, then allowed himself to jump down, landing directly in front of his opponent in a kneeling position with arms crossed before him defensively while his cape gracefully fell down behind him.
And... he hung his head, his chin flat against his chest as he looked at the polished marble floor's reflection, his arms dropping to his sides as he realized Kadaj wasn't going to attack him. "Please, don't hurt me... I don't want to have any regrets. I'll leave." he admitted in a defeated and deflated tone, his Onion Sword disappearing in a flash of light from his hand. He stepped before Kadaj slowly, hanging his head in submission, until he had stopped just before him. "I'll do anything you want, just don't hurt anybody..." he pleaded, not looking up as if groveling before a emperor or a master. "... and I'll give up if you just do one thing."
Suddenly, a flash of light was the only instantaneous warning Kadaj would get before the alias known to few as Luneth would dash forward and execute Multi-Hit as he slashed forward multiple times at Kadaj's head, neck and chest within a few widths of mere nanoseconds.Executing his slashes in a way his momentum would allow him to pass through and by Kadaj, he spun around from behind him so he would be facing him again as he finished answering his facade of his request. "Stop being so naive." As he was saying this he was already blending into another attack, switching things up and keeping his adversary on his toes, as he leaped into the air. Golden swirls were what became of the Onion Sword as he conjured another powerful spell, and almost at the same time as the blinding flash outside of the white lightning through the enormous ballroom windows behind him, a peeling crack of Thunder thrummed through the air as stinging orbs of electricity snapped and triangulated in towards him. He leaped towards the fallen chandelier that was still resting on the floor and grabbed hold of the chain connected to the ceiling while still in mid-air, resting a foot so he leaned on the vertically surface momentarily. "You really don't get it. As long as you rely on force alone, you're no match for me. Unless you're trying to prove to me how powerful you are, which is really a lunkhead move. Unlike you, I really don't care how powerful you think I'm not, which says more about your weakness than mine... your wounds and cries also say otherwise, you've taken more hurt more than I have." he pointed out. The katana wielder really was quite the hypocrite, as well. "Saying you'll also won't go easy on me because I'm a kid and then offering for me to leave is really counter-productive on a battlefield, unless you know you can't win against my brilliance. And so long as I've decided since the very start of this to fight in my heart, I'll wear you down and beat you, grandpa." he countered confidently, and reached a hand up to tug a bang of stray wavy straw-colored hair, as if reminding the silver-head of what color his own was.
Didn't the Remnant forget that the double doors to the ballroom had been sealed by some magical power until the match had ended, anyway?

Turbo Hit: Finished cooldown.
Comet: One post cooldown.
Wind Shear: Two post cooldown.
Firaga: One post cooldown.
Multi-Hit: Onion Knight lunges at his opponent and delivers a quick flurry of sword swipes. Not very powerful, but very fast, if he missed his opponent he looses his balance and leaves himself open to attack for a few seconds, so he has to use this on the ground up-close. (Two post cooldown.)
Thunder: A lightning attack which OK can only shoot while airbourne, which is shot towards the opponent as three balls of lighting which fan out and home back on on the opponent, allowing the balls to curve towards the opponent at almost any height. (Two post cooldown.)

The entire castle seemed to be moaning under the stress that the storm outside was bringing upon it. The windows were rattling in their frames again with the pressing winds and rapid impacts of raindrops. The second chandelier that was still raised up to the ceiling was shaking from side to side subtly, the flames upon the tips of the candles dancing on their wicks as a low groaning came from the thick chain used to hold up the highly decorated lighting display. The same was happening to the other chandelier, apart from most of the candles had either been knocked from their holders or were extinguished when the chandelier was used as a weapon earlier on. After getting up to his feet and drawing his Souba, the silver-haired youth noticed that his opponent had decided to come to him instead and had jumped down from the second floor to place himself right before the Remnant back on the main floor of the ballroom before starting to put on an act that Kadaj could see through instantly.
"Stop acting so pathetic. It makes you look even more idiotic." Kadaj said with a smirk. It was this boy who knew nothing. Sure Kadaj had taken some of the boys attack but they were all deliberately. Did this Luneth boy actually think he was fast enough to keep up with the Remnant Leader? There wasn't ANYONE alive who was faster then he was, except for when Loz used his super-speed ability. It must be some sort of disease caused by the Light, making everyone believe they were better then everyone else. Or maybe it was due to the Darkness? Perhaps both? Either way, the fact remained that Kadaj really wasn't taking this battle seriously and although he had taken some hits, he wasn't showing any signs of defeat or loose of strength. Trust these self-righteous Light hearted and egotistical amateurs to think so otherwise. "I'll tell you what, I really will start fighting seriously now, just to prove once and for all that you're hopelessly outclassed."
And with that said and done, a flash of light came from the boy before him, obviously a technique used to summon ones weapon like how many others could. However, the silver-haired Remnant said he would start fighting seriously now and although the transaction from summoning weapon to attacking was pretty fast for the armoured boy, Kadaj saw it coming a mile away and simply jumped into the air before slashing his Souba before him, parrying the initial strike of Luneth's Multi Hit and using the recoil to help flip him clean over the young boy's head in a smooth somersault, landing with a gentle thud back upon his feet. Glancing over his shoulder but not turning his body around yet, the Remnant Leader watched as the boy jumped up into the air and swung his weapon about in a similiar motion to earlier on in the match. Shifting one of his feet to pivot his body slightly, Kadaj turned his body towards the boy and simply frowned but still had that smirk spread across his lips. "This again? I guess this really is everything you have if you're using old attacks." The silver-haired youth twisted himself fully to face the armoured lad the moment the Thunder spell was launched. As the three orbs crackled towards him, Kadaj raised up his right arm and pointed his palm towards the spell but before casting a counterattack, Kadaj paused for thought and pondered if this might be what the boy was expecting. It was then that his brightly glowing eyes noticed the figure of Luneth jump away, off towards the lowered chandelier.
Smirking, Kadaj quickly lowered his hand and instead quickly envloped himself in a cluster of black crow-like feathers, teleporting himself with Angel Teleportation to the opposite side of the chandelier that Luneth was standing on. However, instead of reappearing either directly behind the boy or on the ground behind the chandelier, the Remnant appeared a few meters in the air right next to the chain. With a swift swipe of his Souba, the Remnant cut to chain with a loud 'snap' to cause the chandelier to fall to the ground and hopefully force Luneth to loose balance. Lifting his eyes up, Kadaj noticed that the Thunder attack had followed him and changed direction. Perfect. As the opponents spell drew nearer, the Remnant youth threw himself down to the ground and vanished into the cloud of dust that had been thrown up by the impact of chandelier upon the ballroom floor. Shifting his position so that he placed Luneth between himself and his Thunder, Kadaj once again raised his right arm and pointed his palm this time towards Luneth. A few strings of electricity crackled between the Remnant's fingertips as he cast Thundaga, a large and long bolt of lightning zapping from his fingers towards the colourful armoured boy.
If all went according to plan, the boy knight would be struck from both sides by the Remnant's and his own spell. But then again, maybe not, who knows?

"You're the one who's pathetic, or don't you understand when someone's being sarcastic towards how powerful you supposedly are? It's quite sad."
The peach-colored marble of the ballroom was now losing most of it's hue, thanks to the chipped dust from it caused by the battle, and for the most part the Fire Pillars which had scattered a fine layer of ash around the large room. The cherubs in the mural on the large ceiling above seemed to be the only spectators of this fiery duel, if inanimate objects that seemed to move position could be counted as such in a cursed castle, the inversion of their contrast flickering in black and white as the storm raged on outside. For one that started as a dry storm with only lightning, now half-way during the fight rain poured from the heavens, pelting loudly against the large windowpanes covering the south wall. One would be surprised at how re-enforced the French designed windows and double-doors were, as they held back what seemed to be hell unleashed itself, from outside as well as inside. The Onion Knight continued to remain perched on the chain of the chandelier his free left hand and one foot were clasped upon, not expecting he would share such a dark and stormy night with such a arrogant and creepy minion of the darkness, but he would have it no other way to stop him from freely claiming the castle if his fire spell was any inclination of how he would treat it.
The other male had evaded his melee strike by parrying it with his own, and used it to flip over him as Luneth had passed through him to make his point not to be treated because of his youth or size with the point of his sharp blade - that his foe had seen it coming was that much predictable from his earlier comment. The silver-head was fast - maybe almost as fast as him, but not quite - and perhaps just as egotistical as he was to boot. Part of the concept of being the legendary Onion Knight was to look at his own flaws in reflection and use it humbly to strengthen him... that was the mark of a true hero, always improving himself and others. That was the key difference between himself and this enemy that was quite a good match to test his reflexes and make him even stronger - he not only acknowledged that he improved himself, but that others also helped keep him sharp, so no matter what situation he was in he would never underestimate what would be thrown at him. He smiled to himself in a knowing manner that he had found another weakness to his opponent - not light, as light and darkness would always overpower each other to strive for their own sense of balance - but a weakness that in turn was a strength more than simply speed or intellect.
Speaking of grimaces, this youth he was fighting sure seemed rather whimsical - first he contradicted himself with treating Luneth as a kid, now it looked like he was attempting to frown at the same time that smirk was plastered on his face. Ignoring his opponent's apparent facial spasm, he observed carefully as a cluster of black feathers marked the obvious indication that his opponent had instantly teleported once more... something he had been watching for along with his clone trick. He immediately looked up as he tracked the teen's new location several feet in the air above him, tracking him with emerald orbs, witnessing as he cut the chain that held the chandelier he was standing on. This would have been a smart move to both throw the legendary Onion Knight off balance, as well as cut the tether that was holding up the environmental weapon the knight had attempted to bludgeon the older adolescent earlier with... except for one thing. Whether the Remnant had failed to notice it or not, the same chandelier he was snapping the support of was indeed that same chandelier Luneth had sent crashing to the ballroom floor as he leaped off it, and had remained there when Luneth had jumped back on it.
So there was no gap between the chandelier and the floor, as indeed it had been observed before that the candelabra was grounded, so all the villain had accomplished was throw up a diminutive dust cloud from the slack of chain falling to the floor.
Oops.
Well, either way, nobody was going to be swinging on that chandelier for a long time. Still keeping tabs on the grayed youth above him, he watched as his Thunder spell changed direction and homed in on Kadaj while he was still several feet above him, and he had now simply hopped off the chandelier frame as the chain he was holding went slack as it dropped next to his feet. Since Luneth had been in the air when he had leaped from passing through the leather-clad warrior that had been on the ground, and now he had teleported from the ground to the air, he merely watched with an amused expression as the orbs of thunder sailed over his head and continued to seek the Remnant. Really, it just seemed like the antagonist had just made more work for himself, and not accomplished anything at all. However, as fast as his Thunder was that were about to collide with the elder boy's frame, he had thrust a palm out before him and cast a Thunder spell in attempt to cancel or even 'cut' through one of his spells again. Well, he wasn't going to get away with slicing through every spell Luneth flung at him, but the punk was in the air above him and pointing his palm towards his Thunder spell, which was coming up and away from the original youth. Lightning clashed both outside as well as inside, and while the streaking bolts passed by the triangular rotation of orbs and managed to zap the bead-haired boy as it passed through him into the ground, he didn't flinch away and continued to look up as he held his ground.
It would only be a matter of time, and mentally shaking off the damage he had taken from the Thundaga along with the Flame Pillar, he turned that energy as well as that he had accumulated from Wind Shear into a powerful aura. A bright light illuminated and engulfed his body as he went into his EX Mode of his job-changing powers, his golden and red Onion Knight attire now replaced with a black and red Ninja attire. A green hue covered his body as the passive Regen effect kicked in, healing his wounds substantially over time. To allow that to take place and keep him in this intensifying spar, in the blink of an eye leaving green leaves behind in his wake, Luneth moved with his enhanced ninja speed on top of the second chandelier which was already swinging towards the man in black. Seconds before the chandelier was due to collide which was just a fake-out, the real plan was to use it as a launching platform, and came soaring at Kadaj instantly with a second scarlet-colored King's Sword in his left hand to score a dual Multi-Hit with both swords.
"Everything I have? Maybe I just want you to see my 'old moves' so you'll least expect the new ones coming... you'll never know. By the way, I have to commend you for making me stronger, but didn't you say you were going to fight seriously? When?" he snickered through the veil covering his mask, after he had landed on the balcony below, and turned to face his target. This guy didn't have a clue, and he preferred it would remain such a way.

Comet: Finished cooldown.
Wind Shear: One post cooldown.
Firaga: Finished cooldown.
Multi-Hit: One post cooldown.
Thunder: One post cooldown.
Multi-Hit: His melee attack from the air, this attack is similar to Multi-Hit in terms of speed and power, but OK turns upside-down and is able to attack his opponent at any height. (Two post cooldown.)
EX Mode - Ninja Job Class: When having gathered enough energy in battle from attacking his opponent, if Luneth's last attack was a sword technique, he will change job-classes into a Ninja for a limited time. In this mode, he magically conjures from the light the King's Sword to dual-wield, thus does more damage with melee attacks, and gains the Regen status. If he uses a magic spell, he is able to freely shift into the Sage job class, but it takes more energy for him to do so. (Activated after taking damage three times, lasts for three posts or until he does his Ninjitsu EX Burst, cooldown three posts.) [LT:Dissidia 012 Duodecim Jukebox - Final Fantasy III - Battle 2]

After a lot of Voting on the winner, we have chosen that the Dark would have won this battle.
The Dark has captured Beast's Castle!
Since Kadaj has won, he is allowed an upgrade of one ability or one modification to their powers and will be notified. Requests are to be PMed to Vincent. Congrats!
