(OOC: This is a Trick or Treat Event for possible free munny! Another thread with Scrooge McDuck is open here and a third with the Queen of Hearts here, so please visit it for more free munny!
In this post, when you are trick or treating, please put this code either in the header or the footer of your post:
Code: [ r a n d ]
This will determine if you are trick or treated. If you are tricked, you have the decision to trick Beast back, and if it goes well you still may earn munny. Think of it as a second chance. Good luck!)
"Sir, please stand up straight."
"Hold down the candy bucket for the children to grasp."
"Make sure to flash them your debonair smile! And most of all sir..."
"... you must control your temper! Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts and Lumiere all said in unison.
"I don't know why I agreed to this..." the Beast mumbled through smiling white teeth, pressing down his impressive suit he had worn the night he had danced with Belle in the ballroom. If anyone asked, he a matador in this luxurious attire... if only for the reason no other outfits would fit him for a Halloween costume. But Beast knew quite well... all the servants suggested was that it might be better to get the townspeople, even the off-worlders that visited his castle, a chance to get to know him. So I don't have to throw strangers in prison, no doubt. But the real reason he had been persuaded was Belle. If not for her... he would most likely have sealed himself away in the West Wing for Halloween.
The Entrance Hall was candle-lit and decorated with halloween-themed, but not-so-scary , decorations by the servants. To keep the theme, but not to completely scare people moreso than they may already could have been entering a dark castle at the end of the Forgotten Forest. The Courtyard was set up in a similar way, more festive and welcoming than a actual Halloween party, inviting music and smells of hot food floating down the bridge leading up to the castle. And of course, so the Heartless, Nobodies or any other unsavory characters did not crash the party, Sora had always offered he'd only be a call away if Beast came up against any heavy resistance that got violently out of hand.
The question was, on this hallowed night of nights where the spirits were cleansed and the veil between this world and the next was at it's thinnest... would anyone actually come for the Prince to donate some of his vast royal riches to the people?

The rumor was that a Beast lived in there and if you get close enough you can hear him roar. People in the village say that the castle was enchanted by an enchantress many years go and no one has see the prince or service since then. It was also said that a girl had recently went up to the castle and never returned. On the bright side some in the village believe that the beast is the prince and that he is very nice and the girl is still alive living with the master of the huge complex. The Memory Witch knew that the kinder villagers were right about the Beast. Naminé wasn’t sure of the last time Sora visited his beastly friend and thought that she should take it upon herself to see how his friend was doing. Naminé was just getting back from her adventure in Halloween town and couldn’t figure out why her outfit hadn’t changed back yet. She then saw a bunch of children that were wearing costumes heading for the castle. It finally dawned on her that today was Halloween so there was no need for her dress to turn back to normal. She was still dressed like a witch. Her white dress was patched up with patches of different shapes of white. Bandages were wrapped around her arms and legs like gloves and leg warmers. She had a white witch’s hat on and also wore a blue flamed shaped eye patch. She figured that the kids were heading to the castle to see if the stories were true. Boy, were they about to be surprised if the master of the castle did answer the door. The Memory Witch and children walked up to the massive doors. Some of the children abandon the mission and head back at a run. None of them seemed that keen on knock on the door at all. “There is nothing to be scared of.” Naminé said with a smile. “He really is quite nice.” More children opted out of the quest at the realization that someone in their group actually seen the beast and knew for a fact that he was real. The young girl in white tilted her head as she watched more children walk away. “But-But I said he is nice.” She tried to reassure them. But the kids wouldn’t hear of it. Naminé and the remaining children looked up at the doorknockers. The Nobody reached for the stone hoop that came from the lion’s mouth that hung on the door. She hit the hoop on the door and the sound echoed loudly throughout the court yard. [glow=red,2,300]“Trick or Treat!”[/glow] Everyone called out into the night. {OOC: Sorry I have never done this before. I hope I am doing it right.}

"Why sir, there is a knock at the door! Open it and let's trick our invited guests, shall we?"
"Now Lumiere, that's no way to treat our guests." Cogsworth scolded in his usual uptight, wound-up manner.
"Quite right, we don't want to scare the dear children away~ But if the master decides to trick them, let's hope they'll understand it's all in good fun." Mrs. Potts said considerably.
Beast had heard the loud, echoing knock at the door and cleared his throat, re-adjusting his collar slightly. "Here goes..." he said in anticipation, standing back as he opened the door, so as not to startle the guests. To his surprise, it was not adults, but children who had come to seek candy at his door. He recognized most of the children from the nearby village, but one of them was a bit taller, a slender petite girl wearing a white stitched dress and a funny-looking hat/mask. Some of the children squealed a bit in surprise as well, while others clung to one another and looked on in curiousity.
"Hello, welcome to the castle. Here, have your candy, as a treat." the Beast spoke softly and slowly, as he had been asked to so as to not frighten them. But since he had never dealt with children before (besides Chip, but he only ever dealt with him as a teacup), he was not sure how to hand out candy with his giant paws; that's when he remembered what Belle had taught him. With feeding the birds, they were easily startled, but when Belle made a trail with the bird seed into Beast's flattened paws, they followed it and ate from them. And knowing no other way and so we would not break their little bags, Beast started to sprinkle chocolate and coins onto the ground, making a trail up the stairs and finally leading into his hands. He remained quiet and stood still, watching as the little children laughed and followed the trail to take the treasure from his hands, much to the beast's delight.
But they had taken all of them, yet he had not been able to give anything yet to the older girl in white. "Err... one moment." he spoke, looking around for some candy for the young woman. In his efforts, he found coins from his pocket, and began to take it out. As he did however, something else fell out from the movement of his large paws within the suit pockets, falling to the ground before the female and conjuring up a huge puff of smoke. Before Beast knew what had happened, he looked on as the smoke had cleared... to find he had accidently Tricked the girl by giving her the Frog status, turning her into said animal.
"Uh... oops." was all the Beast could say, wondering what Belle would say to him once she discovered he had turned a innocent teenage girl into an amphibian. "I'm... uh... that will come right out." he said to the girl-frog, as if he had made a stain on her dress, unsure what else to say. "Say you are sorry, and that the mademoiselle may trick you back, once the spell is broken!" Lumiere hissed out to him, standing still as a candlestick so his cover would not be broken. "Uh... right. I'm sorry, the spell should be broken... here." he offered, and found a Remedy to douse her with, turning her back into her humanoid self. "Sorry... uh... feel free to trick me back with your magic, or anything else you may find amusing... I suppose." the Beast grunted unfavorably, concerned the girl might be head-strong and easily offended like Belle could be, but more concerned with what she was going to do to him.
(OOC: Okay Nami, now it's your turn to play a trick back on Beast, for a second chance at some munny. Try rolling the random code again. I'll roll the random code on my next post for you otherwise, for if you do it the code might say you've cheated if that happens. Good luck!)

Vivi was amazed as he looked up at the looming castle. It was a perfect setting for Halloween. Creepy but dignified... Just settled enough to be real, but still alarming just the same. The littlest mage wandered closer to the gates. The courtyard seemed decorated and festive. What's more...
Vivi's eyes widened as he saw the people standing in the courtyard. A large and intimidating Beast standing there flanked by what looked like tiny animated ...things... cookware and knickknacks... It was intriguing! Vivi stepped forward curiously, noting the... frog... how strange...
Looking at the decor and considering what had happened in previous worlds this same night, Vivi could understand that this was some sort of festivity linked to Halloween. He seemed to be taking in a lot of worlds' festive flavors in for this holiday... and every one was slightly different. Vivi's mind turned each color and decoration and item around the courtyard over as he looked about curiously. This was a very interesting place. It reminded him of places on Gaia, but not quite the same.
Figuring that the animated things were enchanted much like Vivi had seen someone back home done, he wasn't really frightened of them. But the Beast... well, Vivi was a little nervous. But understanding that this was a night of costumes, he assumed that the tall man was wearing a costume to blend in with his enchanted friends. Hearing his voice from a distance, he didn't seem like a bad guy.
Vivi walked closer and in his typical humble way bowed in greeting.
"H-Happy Halloween." He spied the treats and recognized the tradition from his previous excursions. "T-trick or Treat?"

As he waited for the white witch's reaction to the spell that had been cast on her, another strange visitor turned up to his door. It looked like a boy wizard, but the face was very shadows... except for two rounded yellow eyes. Was it a Heartless!? The beast sniffed.... no, this being did not have the foul stench of darkness around it like the Heartless did, in fact he could smell the crispness of light emanate from it's being. "Hmm... interesting costume." the beast grunted to the small mage.
As the little spellcaster uttered Trick or Treat, the cursed prince almost did a double-take, forgetting for a moment his role of dispensing out the treats whilst he was looking at the costume. "Ah, yes, hold on a moment..." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small sum of Munny that he had done before, careful not to pull out another potion this time. He had conjured up some potions beforehand that made random effects... only temporary and all harmless of course... to throw at anyone that tried to trick him. It was supposed to be in good fun, but he would - and could - do worse if he got angry.
Carefully, cupping both paws together so the tiny cube-shaped coins would not slip between his fingers, he lowered it down carefully to what he assumed was a child dressed as a Heartless warlock. "Here you go... erm... Happy Halloween." he told him, unsure of what to say from his seclusion and ignorance of treating the common person. "Bravo sire, that was excellent manners." Cogsworth whispered to him on the inside of the doorway, standing still and acting like furniture so as to not make too obvious their true nature. "Oh, what e'heck! 'Appy 'Alloween!" Lumiere said in a thick accent, starting to move about and waved to the mage once he realized their guest knew they were animated. "Would you like to stay for tea, dear? We ever so have not have guests for a long time." Mrs. Potts broke her cover as well, Chip bouncing on top of the footstool that acted like a dog as it nuzzled against Vivi.
"You may stay only until midnight." the Beast commanded, concerned of what would happen should the townspeople learn of their enchantment placed upon the castle. "Enjoy your coin, tiny Heartless magician." he expressed sincerely, whilst being ignorant of his name, still well-wished that at least some of his guests had been successfully treated. But there was still the white witch to worry about...

[#@rand#=7.612997078182354%@] Naminé smiled at the children as they received their treats. She waved as they ran off giggling. She turned her attention back to the Master of the Castle. He had seemed to be searching for something for her to have. When he reached into his pocket, something fell out. The memory witch bent down to pick it up for the Beast when a puff of smoke blinked her. She coughed a few times and when she opened her eyes everything seemed to get bigger. “What? What just happened?” She said blinking to see if her vision was okay. She looked up at the Beast and he too was a giant. “GAAAA!” She screamed. The young girl went to touch her face a discovered that she was turned in to a frog. She was use to turning in to things but it was normally her transforming herself in to other people. The Beast apologized and gave her a remedy. Well this was the holiday for tricks. She drunk the potion and turned back to normal just as another kid came to the castle. He…She...It looked like a heartless at first but she could sense that this person has a heart. The kid seemed kind of nervous but got a treat from the prince. Naminé smiled at the child and waved back at the Beast. “No worries.” She said as she walked away. “Happy Halloween.”As Naminé started to walk down the path she stopped for a moment and turned back around. She didn’t really mind being turned into a frog but she was worried about the other children that might be trick. “Maybe I should teach the Beast a lesson.” She thought to herself. “This was he might be more careful with others that come for a treat." She smiled because she thought of the perfect trick that wouldn’t hurt anyone. The memory witch took out her sketch book a started to draw. She started back up the path towards the castle. She placed her hand on her hips as she got closer to the Beast that was still outside with the kid. “What is this that I hear that you turned some innocent girl into a frog?!” She said. However, the girl that stood before the Castle was not recognized as the witch. Naminé had used her power to transform to change herself in to Belle. She stood now on the front step with her arms crossed. Belle/Naminé’s blue dress, white apron, and brown hair blow slightly in a breeze that was passing by. Belle/Naminé held a disapproving look for a few minutes. “Hahahahaha.” She started to laugh. She just could keep that look on her face. She snapped her fingers and her disguise was no more. “I am sorry but now maybe you will be more careful when you are dealing with kids.” She giggled. She joined the young wizard kid at the top step just as the enchanted object made their selves know and invited them in. The Beast seemed to be a little uncomfortable with the whole idea and Naminé didn’t want the put the prince on the spot like that so she just smiled and waved good bye thanking for an unforgettable Halloween.

As the girl turned back from becoming a frog, like a princess that had been kissed and broken the spell... how I wish it wre that easy with my own curse, he thought. The young woman was good-natured about it and wished them well before taking off. Well... he hadn't expected her to give up with not tricking him at all. He turned back to Vivi, making sure he got the last of his money. "Happy Halloween." he repeated again, as if he had lost his place.
Then, a voice came that froze him in his place. He knew she was around somewhere, but was surprised at how quickly the news had spread to her ears. "Belle! I... err... that is to say... it's not what it sounds like... it was an accident." he tripped over his own words, before his feminine prisoner laughed at him as if a joke. Belle did have an unusual sense of humor, but what shocked him more was when she snapped her fingers. It was the witch in white, and he blinked in disbelief. "How did you...? Heh... that was a good trick, young witch." he laughed, but was still stunned how she knew... and how she accomplished such a feat.
Suddenly, from the village, the bell tolled. It was midnight already. Time to end the party and say goodnight to everyone. "Happy Halloween to all... and to all a good fright." the Beast huffed in further amusement as the girl in white, the young wizard and all the other children left the courtyard. The lights were blown out and the gates to his castle closed... but a smile and a warmth in Beast's heart continued to remain.
This thread has ended. See you next Halloween!
